Data recovery complicationThe game is awesome, the data recovery part is complicating tho, I had all my stuff and I assumed it woulda been easy as too re-install the game and it remembering you and giving you an option too regain your data but you have to manually go to “data transfer” and it gives you an option of have your data transfer from “Game Center” and “Komi id” so I click Game Center because as soon as I open the game I got a icon notification of it saying welcome back “player name” so I was like oh so it does remember but when I click on Game Center transfer it tells me I have too be signed in to the account I created the save so I go to Komi and I guess maybe I didn’t make one or can’t remember, I go too Yt on how to regain your data nothing really helped so in short I gave up and deleted the game cuz I am not starting from scratch again, game is awesome tho but due to my incompetence I screwed myself T_T if your looking for a fun deck that’s good I’ll tell you try “The Dark Lord/despia” combo deck and the “scareclaw” deck there simple straight forward, intermediate to learn, but power house decks one is full on destruction and the other is defensive destruction but both have one main card you want out and it’ll slaughter everything, “swordsoul” is also a fun great deck but a little more complicated, you’ll be fine tho have fun guys for me I’m gonna miss The Dark Lord…T_T was my favorite.Bladexgamer923-xVersion: 2.5.0

Best Online TCG Game I’ve PlayedI’m a magic player who played a lot of edh in that game and had played it for 11 years. I eventually tried to get into cedh got bored of playing thassas oracle or stax in every deck I played. I always disliked the magic online card games too because I felt like I couldn’t get all the cards I wanted to play with, and needed a breathe of fresh air. I came into this game having played a little duel links and collected the cards as a kid with no idea how to play. This game has been so much fun though, an absolute godsend for a bored tcg player. It’s really easy to get a deck together and I feel like with minimal money I’ve been able to learn the fundamentals of the game and further how to play into archetype specific matchups with multiple decks. It’s knowledge I feel like I could take into the tcg and play if I wanted to and as well it encourages me to do that. Overall this game is stellar, for me it does everything it wants to do perfectly. The solo mode showed me a lot of deck archetypes I could try out with the cards that were new to me having not played the tcg in probably 15 years. I felt like the in game gem accumulation rate allowed me to build a decent variety of decks to play around with and grow proficient with. And the ranked ladder was a lot of fun, I saw a good variety of different decks and enjoyed getting to see how they play. There was always the exceptions of flood gates, Dryton herald, and d dynamite. As far as master duel itself though the game for me is excellent and if you like Yugioh or card games in general I would whole-heartedly recommend it..TCG ConsumerVersion: 1.1.1

Great game. Problems you NEED to fix.The game is incredibly generous, incredibly fun, and incredibly awesome! But every game comes with it’s flaws. I’m not asking you to fix all of them, but just some major ones. 1. Make a time limit for someone’s turn! It’s wildly infuriating when someone is spamming overpowered monsters while your just sitting there and watching for 10 minutes straight. At that point, your just gonna surrender because your so bored, and not that the fact you know your gonna lose. So, please make a 60 second timer for someone’s turn! 2. Please lengthen the time for if your disconnect for just about ten seconds, it doesn’t kick you or make an instant defeat for you. Y’know, maybe someone messaged them and they’re in the middle of a duel. They might want to go look at the message and reply realllly quickly. So they do. But when they come back, it’s just a defeat screen. It’s annoying. Would you like it if you were winning in a battle and it just made you get a defeat? Please lengthen the time to 30 seconds! 3. In solo mode, make a “Mode” for gem grinding. 50 gems per duel you win. Because it’s kind of hard to get gems unless you throw in that money. But a lot of people don’t want to and hate those P2W games. So, maybe make a gem grinding mode in solo? You go against AI that gets harder and harder. That would be an awesome way to grind out gems! Fix some things!Honestly I like the game and app they both work amazing. Except, change the best of one to a best of three, when going against stun decks and not having anti back row is very annoying. Second fix the ban list a bit I enjoy the ban list to a point except get rid of maxx c, honestly it is definitely not a fair card or a card that should be legal, period! It’s very toxic and having to make the choice of taking the challenge or get otk by not continuing is stupid. Third, should add some more cards to the game I actually like the wide variety that it has now making it very enjoyable except when trying to incorporate a deck you’ve spent months build irl or other deck building simulators and not having all the cards on the game to build cause it is a nice change of pace to play and get higher on the ladder, and finally fourth, I feel you should change the amount you get for dismantling cards as going from 30 to generate to only getting 10 when dismantling is annoying even maybe increasing to 20 would seem reasonable and still profitable for both sides, it will allow more people to experiment with more decks with allowing them to pick cards up little easier, plus maybe don’t have a limit of decks can own that’s no fun. Some details that could be helpfull.At first i need to congrats at konami because this is exaclty all the yugioh fans wanted for long ago, a game with high graphics an all the specs that yugioh brings above, Apart of the low in game pve(it’s understandable because the game is new and is focused on pve) i thing there some things that could be more helpfull for old players trying new decks and old player teaching new player, a custom room. A custom room against a IA where i can pick which cards i want in the field, in the hand, graveyard, banished, etc and i can choose which cards the IA have or make the IA or not play, would be helpfull too practice complicated combos and practice to understand better a new deck, meanwhile if we are teaching a new friend how to play or how to play certain decks and we can do the same already mentioned but surely the new player can understand better he is seeing what are the principal things to do to play correctly a new deck..DELTAXRAY25Version: 1.0.2

Good but could be betterOverall the game is fun and no complaints for the most part except for three things. 1. The amount of gems that the game gives you the opportunity to get for FTP (free to play) players on a daily basis is abysmal. Especially since the majority of things in the game cost several hundred gems; card packs, accessories, specific cards you would need to craft for decks, all cost in some form or fashion a considerable amount of gems. Which realistically would take several weeks just to get one or two items. 2. The online public dueling system is horrible. There’s no system for efficient, plentiful dueling on a casual level. It’s either play ranked and get creamed by a meta deck or use the meta decks. And on the flip side search through tens of dead rooms and hope to get a casual unranked duel. There needs to be a system just like ranked but for causal duels with a queuing system as well. And number 3 is the lengths you have to go through just to get the smallest amount of gems in the game. I believe one of the achievements if I recall correctly is Special summon a monster 300 times (I believe not exactly sure if it was more) just for 50 gems. And it increases drastically to get the same amount of gems or less for progressing even farther in the achievement. It’s absolutely absurd. But overall not a bad game. Master DuelI’ve been in love with yugioh sense I was a kid and when master duel dropped it was a cool way to play the game online. My complaint is it is really hard to build actually good decks. Abaze is really strong right now but that requires an abundance of UR material. In order to get gems you have to rank up in ranked mode, but that’s really hard when if you like playing a specific archetype ( for example Nephys or Gimmick puppet or any other deck. It sense like you have to run the meta in order to build decks you want to test or like. First it was Exodia, then Timelord, now DPE, Albaz, and Runcik. It ruins the experience for new plays and even old plays to delet the game and never come back. I would recommend making it easier to receive gems ( I got 200 from grinding 10 hours straight , because I have all the solo gates done ) or require less material to build cards. Something has to change. Also add a feature for those people who buy cards IRL to scan there card and receive them in game but they can only scan each card once or something like that so you aren’t spamming, then they can be permanently in your game or you can dismantle them for the material they are in master duel. But seriously you have to think about the free to play people, because if you are willing you can just buy every deck and do whatever where people like me have to grind days or weeks to even try one deck that can’t do anything against the meta everyone is running, then you dismantle the deck to build another but you can’t because you used all your materials on that deck and all the gems from solos on that deck so your stuck. Good, but could be so much betterFirst of all, if you want the definitive Yu-Gi-Oh! experience and aren’t a fan of Duel Links’s format, this is the game you wanna play; however, here are some things to keep in mind before you play: 1) The game is not caught up to the modern card game— lots of cards simply aren’t in the game yet and problematic cards are legal to play, thus creating some unfair and not fun game states. Also, some older random cards like “Elemental Air Neos” just aren’t in the game for some reason, most likely because they simply forgot. 2) This game gives you a ton of gems to work with at the beginning but you’ll quickly run out of resources— I was able to make about two decks I wanted to make before getting to the state where I needed to dismantle nearly everything to make another deck. I understand not giving the player infinite resources without spending money, but that leads me to my next point. 3) This game is not rewarding to spend money on. I’m a fairly moderate spender when it comes to mobile games and I can say after spending about $80 or so I cannot tell you what I got out of it. The randomness of opening packs really screws up your chances of actually getting your money’s worth. You can unlock select packs of only the cards you wanna get, but that actually doesn’t do anything and you end up only getting rare cards that have nothing to do with the pack you opened. Nothing felt worse than building up a deck concept, unlocking the selective pack of the archetype, spending $30 on gems for packs, and then not even being close to properly building my ideal deck..Full_RaccoonVersion: 1.0.2

Yugioh the way it was meant to be playedI’ve played several video games and previous apps regarding the game I’ve known since I was a child. But this game managed to cover EVERYTHING* Yugioh is, the good things and flaws alike. I am truly mesmerized by how much love and attention this game as gotten, both from developers and players alike! It has reignited my love for this franchise a million times over, and I will always remember that! *Having said that, there was one feature in a previous game that I hope will come in Master Duel some day. World Championship 2007 had a feature called “Recipe Duel” where you could fight against the decks you made and see how strong they truly were. I hope you can make that feature available for us down the road. EDIT: Also, could you give options for different soundtracks that we can customize to our liking. I loved the winning soundtrack in Duel Generations for instance and would love to hear that again. Even the ones from World Championship 2007 were good as well. EDIT 2: also, adding duel puzzles from previous games would be a nice feature to have as well. EDIT 3: not a critique on the app, but I have deleted it because it felt more like a chore when playing rather than a game. Make this more like a game. Great Game with a couple of issuesOverall the game is great, it’s a good mix of both TCG and OCG yu-gi-oh. However my biggest gripe with the game is collecting cards. In the game there are four rarities:Common, Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare. You collect cards by pulling them from packs and or crafting them via materials that you get from either the Duelist pass or Dismantling cards of the rarity in question. Although crafting cards is a welcomed addition getting materials can be rather rough. There are times where you don’t pull many if any Srs/Urs and when you level up in the duelist pass you get around 9-10(with the upgraded gold pass). Decks can have cards of any rarity, however most if not all semi competitive decks have a hefty amount of Sr/Ur cards(unless you’re specifically playing a budget version of the deck, or are playing a more causal deck). A Daily/Weekly mission that gives more crafting materials of all rarities would be greatly appreciated as it would help you get more cards for new decks. Overall it isn’t the worst thing, however when you are low on materials you really wish there was some sort of way to acquire more. Potential is there. Almost perfect.Alright, so this is what we’ve wanted since we were all 10 years old. It looks great, UI is clear and it’s snappy and quick. Now you see that part in the description that says “even offline!”? There’s big invisible asterisks there. There’s an “offline” mode for sure, but riddle me this: why does a card game need a constant connection to the internet? You know the REAL offline people look for? I can ignore micro transactions which lead to potential P2W grime all too common in mobile games but this is a different sort of buggering the player about for no reason. I work on a ship and when I’m in the middle of the sea, with no internet, it means I just can’t play this and have to stick to Duel Generations which is clunky and broken for sure but is truly offline functional. In summary, Master Duel is like receiving a free shiny Ferrari in your favorite color and even comes with one of those pretty Japanese showroom girls, but you can only drive it if you call Konami every time and the wheels are made of condensed marmite so you won’t be getting very far anyways..BuerXVersion: 1.1.1

Fun but flawedMaster Duel has been a great reintroduction of Yugioh for me as someone who hasn’t paid any attention to it for years now. The solo mode is kinda barebones but I had fun learning the lore behind the cards while also learning the game’s mechanics (Ningirsu is my boy!). However, after playing for over a month now, getting the resources to actually do the main function of the game- building decks -gets very time consuming and annoying, especially when buying gems is so expensive. I was considering just buying the resources in order to just have a chance at pulling the cards I needed to make a new deck but then I saw the prices and I couldn’t believe what I saw. I understand that as a free-to-play game they have to make their money some way, but this is not it. $80 for 5000 gems when 1000 only gets you ten packs to open (only half the cards in a pack are actually from the pool of cards advertised by the pack, that pool usually being 80 cards with maybe 10%-15% of those cards being good). The point is: lower the price of the gems by a considerable amount, the sales aren’t cutting it as is and the people who are willing to dump money on this game (probably because they make it back in the money they make from either streaming or making videos about the game) aren’t gonna stick around with the way things are going in terms of balancing. Nothing makes me want to pass on this game more than watching as a player makes a board that ends with 5 negates that I’m powerless to play through 90% of the time. Also let players dismantle the legacy cards if they already have more than 3 of them, it’s very frustrating to see when you’re already scrambling to dismantle the few URs you got from a 10 pack that took you a week to save up for. Oh yeah, this is a review. Don’t spend a cent on this game until Konami makes it worth it. Best Yu-Gi-Oh! game ever!!! But needs something…Don’t get me wrong, this is like the best Yu-Gi-Oh! game you can play for being on the go, especially if you are on the go from playing Master Duel from console or PC with the cross game data feature! But the games needs something that’s missing that should have been added at its release, there’s a Dark Magician mate that stands by you’re dueling field but my favorite card/monster Dark Magician Girl is not a mate to stand by you’re dueling field as well as a offline mode for the solo mode in the game. With how popular Dark Magician Girl is she should have been a mate to be by you’re side on the dueling field, please add Dark Magician Girl to the mate shop, she deserves to be in the game as a mate. As well as updating the game to have a offline mode for the solo duel mode, the offline mode for solo duel would be a great thing to add for those who don’t have access to the internet. Made for experts, not beginnersI was going to write a more detailed review, but my previous one was lost, so I’ll just say that this game is not the place to look for a “traditional” yugioh experience. Duel Links or Cross Duel are better options for that. This game is for veteran yugioh players who want to challenge their deck building skills. The game itself is okay, but it has a cruel and expensive deck building meta, and gems are far too tedious to grind. Duels can take over 20 minutes if you have a difficult opponent. Not to mention the game will make it its personal mission to give you every SR and UR besides the ones you need. Some of these really annoying things can be offset by using some strategy and brainpower, but overall the game mostly feels like a chore to play. The game is functional, I won’t give it much more than that though. Take these things into consideration before downloading this game and if you do, pick the archetype of your first real deck very carefully. Please fix random card generator. Pack pull odds need improvement. Solo Mode More New Content fasterStarting to get the idea of every hand being rigged because there’s slim to no chance I should draw the same 3 cards for 4 duels straight when each card is only 1 of in my deck. And the pack pulls I have been getting lately have drastically declined with receiving Ultra Rare cards to maybe 1 sometimes 2 to 3 very rarely that 2 to 3 happens now. When previous years I would get 3 to 4 very often. And now with the selection packs having 15 to 20 UR and 15 to 20 SR sometimes more its making it extremely difficult and overly expensive to make decks especially when you have to have 2-3 of some of a lot of cards. My experience playing this has went from highly enjoyable to highly disappointed and frustrated. Also update your solo mode more frequently please cause 2-3 months for an update to something so simply put together is just ridiculous. Game is good but players take way to long to finish their turnThe game so far it’s really fun to play but with all the new gens of yu-go-oh like synchros and links and the other one forgot the name summing takes way to long, I’ll be running a nice deck finish my turn quick while the enemy would be summing giving me time to even make lunch brakes fast not even when I finish cooking this dude be still summing when I come back from doing all, there are three types of deck that rather leave match instead of waiting for them to summon especially with sky strikers for got the name of the other two but eve time I see those decks I rather leave instead of waisting my time. Great game w/ a TON of flaws!So I’ve been a fan of the anime since I was a kid and I went into this game thinking I could finally learn how to play or at the very least build my dream deck. I was able to build my deck out with the monsters I want but there’s no tip or auto sort for spells and whatnot which cripples the game in my opinion. While the training bit is somewhat helpful the remaining bits are INCREDIBLY redundant to a casual gamer such as myself who just wants to collect cards and battle players. In regards to pvp, I won a total of two casual duels and have been losing since then not because of lack of skill but rather because I seem to get cards that I can’t use/summon whereas the enemy is able to get multiple hit points before even attacking. Finally this game has an auto button that legitimately does nothing so don’t get this assuming that a bot will duel for you. Exactly what I’ve been waiting forEdit: when you gonna allow dismantling of ALL cards not just ones from packs? Let the players do what they want with the cards THEY earned. We won the legacy tickets and I’m tired of trash tier SR and UR cards I can’t do crap with just staring at me. I have over 10 copies of an UR and I’m tired of seeing it and I am not the only player that feels this way. Look online and ask you will see. If we paid with our gems for a structure deck then we got those cards to use in any manner we want and that should include dismantling any card we choose. The only restrictions should be is if they are in an active deck you created or not. That’s it. Fix this annoying issue so I can get rid of all these trash tier SR and UR cards I will never use like yu-jo friendship or unity. Sick of this crap. Sincerely a veteran yugioh player. A FULL scale yugioh game! Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Only thing I would say for Improvement you need to count turn time when they are going through their decks searching for a card. They will sit and stall to the point of not being able to move forward with he duel and it’s usually because they’re losing. For example, I was battling someone using the spell book and prophecy combinations and they had 100 LP left and they just kept using the spellbook cards (spellbook of secrets I think the exact card was) to sit during the duel as if they were searching for a card being AFK. I’ve also seen in groups I’m in on Facebook people ALSO dealing with this. If we could penalize AFK duelists that would be better because that can take away the enjoyment if it’s done enough. Ban them from ranked duels for a set time period and increase the punishment on the account if it’s repeated continuously. Just a little thought but other than that AWESOME job with this. Veteran Yugi Player Review.As a veteran player of from the 2002 era this game is a breath of fresh air. Combining the OCG & TCG is the best way to go. This confirms keeping the game split in real life is a mistake. Master Duel finally allows players to play others from other nations with one list. A huge criticism that only Yugioh had. Hopefully they take this approach in real life and merge the OCG & TCG so Worlds means a lot more than it does. I can’t find a player in America who can name a world champion but plenty can name YCS and Shonen Jump Champions. This makes it much easier for returning players to learn new mechanics instead of having to learn everyone at once. I did that back in 2019 after a ten year hiatus as a competitive player. It was daunting and was probably a reason a lot of more causal players ran to other games. Master Duel fixes this fight or flight response. Konami really needs to give options for playing with Pre-Errata cards & old rules when having a private room. This will allow players to play decks from past eras of the game. Also the choice of alternative art on cards would be a nice addition for later installations. One huge criticism is there is no way to log in from your account on different devices. Meaning I had to create a new account to play on mobile vs my PC. They should fix this quickly. Over all the game is well made just like Magic’s Arena but not as costly..Ultimate RareVersion: 1.0.1

Big yu-gi-oh fanLove this game I have it on my ps5 too i mean everything is just great the music the graphics it is just great but I can’t lie it does have some bugs it from time to time. I will go ahead and say that I do like the mechanics and that if you need to get a card you can always jut try and get some of those medals to get get the cards or or try to summon them. Ow the deck I use in this game currently i a world chalice deck I will send art off by saying it is a good deck to use but the bets ones to use right now from my point of view is a galaxy dragon 🐉 deck because it is just that good from the power to the abilities. EASILY MOST F2P IN APP STORELiterally I despise playing mobile games, I’d rather stare at a wall for 5 hrs just because I never feel competitive being 100% F2P, or if I do spend money it doesn’t do anything for me in a competitive sense cuz everyone else is spending thousands to be mid tier competitive in whatever game it may be. Now that’s out the way, this game has been the most generous game I’ve played with their in game currencies. Since playing this game I’ve built 3 Top tier meta decks on my main PURELY FTP. Haven’t spent a single dime, on my alr which I made not to long ago I’ve already made 3 more Meta decks COMPLETELY FTP. Including the ever so expensive tearlaments, sprights and adamancaptor 60 pile. All this to say this is one of the only mobile games I can play for more then 3 days without uninstalling. Keep losing to cheatersIt’s my second night playing this version I kept doing the dual play with other players because of no robot player to play with anyway I get my cards I go first or second no biggie but then it’s a problem I thought it be a good head to head match new to new or something like it but it’s new to legendary level and I always um put a monster down attack or defend with or without spell trap cards infield anyway once it’s there turn again they put a monster card down and another and another and somehow it synchro xyz summon I thought it um finished but then it did it again maybe the spell or traps were involved but that’s literally cheating and how am I supposed to win or attack there monster anyway I either surrender or lose the game but other than that sometimes I won after getting my cards to dual and they surrendered either for me to not get humiliated by cheaters or they just don’t want a fair honest dual.Jamie Amy112Version: 1.0.2

I’m a brand new learning player and to be thrown into matches with people who have meta decks and 30 minute combos killing me in 1 turn just so they can get the rank up and rewards.. in other words they don’t seem to care for the actual fun in playing but they’d rather just end the match as quick as possible.. it just completely takes away the learning experience.. they definitely need to make a change somewhere to allow us new players to have a decent experience and just duel against other new players so that we can have the authentic experience everyone els had when it was all about cards.. seems like with the digital versions people just Google meta decks and then everyone’s just using the same things rather than put their creativity to work and improvise their own strategies wich is what I’m doing with very little knowledge.. so yeah I’ve got to say that the game itself seems extremely fun but my experience with battling elites is just giving me mixed feelings about sticking around.MatyyyyaVersion: 1.2.0

There is no way in possible for new players to enjoy y the game or play causal like I like to do and this is sad because yugioh is not entirely about competition it is in truely about fun and this game has lost all focus on that. It is also ridiculous how there are no tier systems in this game to combat newbies or causal player from encountering one turn ending duel decks that is not fun to deal with. Especially if you are a good sport and do not rage quit you have to wait 15 minutes of your wasted life for them to make a move or right in the middle of your turn they have their own mini turn in it. This is a major problem that needs to be dealt with before this game starts to lose all its players besides a small minority of pros and people who don’t go outside. RuinedAs a fan of the old show it is just really sad to see how power creep completely ruined the game. The game is excruciating, the vast majority of matches are over before they are started and require about as much strategy as a game of war and about as much interaction as a game of solitaire. It’s not uncommon to lose before you get a turn, and I’ve timed opponents taking more than 30 minutes for a single turn. It’s not because they are waiting, but some are able to make literally hundreds of moves in a single turn. Opponents will routinely draw 10+ cards and play 10+ monsters in a turn. The worst part about these OP cards is that they are stupid and the artwork is terrible. They ran out of good ideas a decade ago and that’s why the artwork for all of the newer cards looks pretty much the same. If you’ve seen one Valkyrie looking lady, there are about 300 cards that look just like her. I wish there was a mode where certain things could be limited or banned or rotated out but unfortunately there isn’t. So by playing this game, you have 2 options. First, you can play for fun and end up losing 95% of games in the hope you play one of the 5% that doesn’t run one of the new non interactive solitaire decks. Or, you can play the meta and end up making a deck that bears absolutely no resemblance to the show, and end up playing a war/solitaire hybrid game. Ps5 and ps4 connection is terrible. Do not waste money on this.It’s sad because I really just wanted to relive the glory days of playing this game with friends and siblings. This game used to be really fun and challenging and took thought to play and have a good time. Play literally any other card game instead of this.I have never played a card or video game with this level of broken balancing. I played this game for several hours and tried out several decks. The tutorial and solo stuff was pretty good but once we got to actual pvp/online battles it just turned into a nosedive. First, servers were abysmal. I don’t know if it was just me but most games I played my opponent would be disconnected and I would win automatically without even being able to play the game. When I actually did get a match that worked 9 times out of 10 my opponent would have several 3000+ attack monsters on their side of the field by the end of their first turn. I had an opponent who literally spent 5 minutes summoning and pulling off whatever build his deck had to kill me by turn two, something I quite literally cannot do anything about. This game has absolutely zero balance and will never be balanced due to the massive amount of bloat and power creep. If you want to slough through to the point where you can also have a 1 turn game ending deck then you do you, but literally any other card game would be a better investment than this one. Stupid game only for expertsI played this for a while now and it was more for nostalgia as I never followed this games new rules as I played older dual monsters. If you don’t know how to play by these new rules you will hate this game. Online players all use super decks that you can never catch up too. The computer is a giant cheat. I’m convinced by seeing it many times that the A.I uses unbelievable tactics to try to make it competitive. It cheats because it knows your cards before you even draw them plus what’s in your hand. Any tactic you think of, somehow the computer always counters you perfectly. You have fire in your hand it almost always has the water and ice to put it out. You can win but have to have practically perfect hands, because the A.I never really have bad draws. There are too many cards, there I said it. You can draw the best card like a god, there is some card nobody ever heard of that easily destroys it or more commonly use effects to remove it. If the computer couldn’t see your hands or what you will be drawing then this game could help people learn and have competitive matches. Instead you’re always playing against either cheating computers or people that know the game by heart over the years and end you in one round. No variety, don’t play.Everyone plays the top meta. It’s boring and not fun. 90% of this game is just laddering up to stronger monsters in the first turn. There’s too much fluff in between. Yu-Gi-Oh! “Digital”The game is fun at first. The game has evolved well. It is what it is. However, this is a digital card game. Its free to play to an extent. You can play all you want but keep in mind you will have to restart if your deck get hits hard by a ban list and the game doesn’t give you fair compensation for your rebuild. This can be just as expensive as the real card game just keep in mind as a long time player, you will lose all of that money. When Duel Generations shut down I lost quite a lot of money. So I refuse to pay this much for digital cards. Oh and solo mode is bad. Still have to have internet connection to play it and the rewards are awful for the time it takes to play through. Neat concept just poorly executed. The pull rates a rough for a digital game. RNG with real money is garbage. I don’t hate the game, it is just a money grabber anymore. Deck editing is great compared to past titles but generating cards is also a great idea but not at a 3-1 pay off. It just isn’t fair for the time put in and RNG at play. Sweats ruin the eventsEvents with limited-time restrictions used to be gem mines, but now they are torture chamber to grind for titles. First, restrictions are too generous. They used to be links only, xyzs only or such, but now they are links + xyzs + fusions and such nonsenses, and have become breeding grounds for sweats with optimized semi-meta decks and 3rd party websites like master duel meta accelerate this tragedy. Insult to injury is new “flaunt your titles in loading screen” system, now sweats don’t grind for just gems and move out to ranked, now they grind for days for these titles. Events are supposed to be rest spot for casuals who are tired of ranks, but now they are more stressful than ranks. I’m pretty sure this will kill Master Duel unless direct actions are taken, like alternate-alternate play-mode like anime duel mode or just outright banning every meta-adjacent things in every events going forward. Also there need to be 3rd report-opponent option: dragging out already finished game(usually to finish event quests). This really makes already disastrous experience into true full-fledged torture chamber, because you get to watch your opponent dragging out already decided game by comboing into oblivion as you hopelessly wish game to end to get tiny little bits of gems out of it..QqoripyoVersion: 2.6.1

NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLYLook if you got money and time to spend just to get all the meta cards and decks then sure this game is great. but oh my god do you suffer if you dare play anything but the meta these days. and even if you don't, any decent deck with enough cards to negate your plays shuts down any structure deck you do try to play. the grind just to build any non structure deck is HORRID. unless you play against brain dead players you will barely win a duel in rank matches which is where you get most of the gems if you aren't spending money. you can barely build a decent enough deck with what you are dealt with at first and even if you do open packs you may get half of the cards you need, but crafting the rest is gonna take a while. if you got time and patience then sure it can be fun. but not really since every other deck floods the board with boss monsters, 8+ negates, or just floodgates so you can't even play the game to begin with. the only use of this is to play with friends who also play master duel but id rather stick to the OCG cause atleast i don't have to sit here for hours on end just to build one semi decent deck..DjhidanVersion: 1.8.0

Konami’s Biggest Screw UpFor anyone who plays master duel, knows that it takes no skill to be the best anymore. while konami did an amazing job building up the game in terms of being a free game that was constructed beautifully, master duel is flawed for these two reasons. one, they have their own banlist separate from TCG/OCG, and it’s by far the worst of the 3 platforms. and two, master duel encourages players to use a meta that they only keep around until they release a new one, and that meta gets banned all around the next month. the worst part is players are allowed to copy other decks so by all means someone has a better deck, just use theirs and climb your way up the ranks. the fun aspect of yugioh was to build your own deck that was from your heart, hence the heart of the cards. yet instead. all everyone wants to do is use the one archetypes that’s winning. you could say “hate the game not the player” but the community is just as bad for falling victim of this scheme. overall, a fun game with your friends, but the game needs to be reformed if you truly want to compete for being the best deck builder..Romeo_XoVersion: 1.6.1

This game just seems to have played off the success of duel links and set up full style matches. That sounds great but it ends up not. You draw basically from every card in existence. Then can only get more selective sets to draw from if you pull a sr or ur from said set. Has PotentialRight now this is just another yugioh pvp duel simulator and not a real “game”. The solo mode is total trash, just text on a screen where you do a few battles with bad decks against a computer opponent. Ruined yugihoThe app works fine my big issue with the game is some of the stupid decks that were added. I used to love this card game as a kid and now they’ve way over complicated it. My deck in this game was simple but effective, but it doesn’t come close to these stupid decks that make it to where someone can play 20 different cards in one turn. I place my 2-3 cards down and end my turn and then I have to wait 10 mins for my opponent to play 20 different cards and summon 5 monsters to the field... it’s stupid, great way to ruin a simple fun game yugiho. Algorithmic pattern is poorly designedSo basically anyone who works a computer knows is that true randomness is impossible on a computer because every computer that does number generation relies on an algorithm to do so. and let me tell you guys I cannot tell you how many times I draw my one of card in 40 card deck… 8 times in a row. Kanami really needs to do some draw testing in their support department and think about altering or changing their algorithm for which cards are drawn because it is busted. You can go to any other number generation and set one through 40 and set your one of card as number 40. you will not see number 40 in a row and a draw of five. At first everything starts off fun as you earn gems and play through the tutorials but as you level up and start to play “online” all you come in contact with are decks that somehow has every card to counter everything you’re doing or decks that enable people to keep drawing monsters until they skip your turn and attack you with a monster that has 15,000 attack points, this app is far from the real game seeing as since nobody realistically has access to any of the cards they’re using to cheat with… literally first turn can turn into you’re opponent constantly using cards that lower your life points with every card, monsters with effects that enable you to keep drawing monsters and raising life points and in all honesty I wouldn’t feel the way I felt about this app today if it just wasn’t obvious cheating… nobody can convince me that I somehow get matched up with random people who’s deck are basically built to counter mines no matter which one I use it’s just so obvious you’re going against a computer or cheater and I’m not a salty person who loses and claims cheating from being salty I’ve had this app since 2016 and now it’s 2024 and this app has been nothing but the same getting more worse and worse with every update…. Honestly so dissatisfiedLiterally every game i get into im playing the sweatiest decks and for whatever reason my cards glitch out and do not work correctly i just summoned wake up your elemental hero with 3 material only to not gain 300 atk for each at all and then theres decks like snake eyes that literally every card is a starter i have the full deck myself but i do not enjoy playing it because everyone quits if i draw better than they do in the mirror match which is 90% of the time but again to my previous point my cards do not work if i use anything other than the meta decks previously before snake eyes when kashtira was full power thats every duel i went against was using on top of when i used blue-eyes or D-mage decks my cards would not be interrupted but would not work correctly as in magikuriboh,white stone of legend cards, bingo machine, etc it just makes the already hard to understand game even harder to understand i miss the old days where i could usually play a few turns and use my knowledge to win and not have to just open a better hand than my opponent to win.Dontae99Version: 1.9.0

Game with Full of ScamThis game use scam in all its gaming and gacha systems. You are only guranteed to get one UR cards with 20 packs, which is almost 20-30 USD. Although you may get about 2 UR cards in 10 pulls on average, but there is still a great chance that you will NEVER get the card you want, because there is only 50% of chance getting UR cards from the pack you are pulling! And there are usually five to ten kinds of UR in each pack! It is very likely that you keep getting one trash UR in the pack with ZERO other wanted UR cards. The gaming system is also fraudulent. They are trying to balance everyone's win rate around 50% by playing tricks with your hands. You may keep getting very bad hands for tens of matches if you are detected with a high win rate, which is very unlikely to happen in real TCG matches if you build a reasonable deck (40 cards with 12 hand traps, 12 core cards). The game is trying to encourage the one who is going first to torture the second by letting them not play the game. Very fun but the servers are very laggyIt is a really fun game, and I would recommend it, it’s just too laggy, a play turn that would usually take 2 minutes might take 7 just because there is lag in between every action you take. Just to put in into perspective: there can lag for a whole minute (or more potentially) when your turn starts, when you draw a card, when switching to every phase, when placing a card on the board, when the enemy gets prompted with something and it comes back to you, and in the start screen when you go to any menu and come back (this is only a couple seconds but it is really frustrating). This isn’t always as bad as it is now but it has gotten significantly worse lately so I thought I’d write a review. I’m aware that it is a co op game and the duels often happen between players from different countries but it is not usually this bad in other games, it’s usually a second or maybe 2, not a minute. It is also not a problem with my internet, I can do everything else perfectly fine I’ve only experienced lag in this game. Also there should be an attempt try to get you to open an account that keeps tracks of all your cards so if you delete the app so you don’t just loose all your progress which happened to me. There is a way to get your account back but you will need your account Id which you’re not likely to know unless you’re adding friends and is pretty hidden apart from a whole other bunch of pretty specific things that most people don’t keep track of. Reminds Me Why I Quit Yu-Gi-Oh 20 Years AgoSolo mode is deeply unrewarding and has a lot of decks (not opponents, you’re not facing duelists, you’re literally just fighting sentient scraps of paper) that are blatantly unfair. The whole purpose is to show how you can exploit various mechanics in Duel Monsters and then take you to the shop where you can pay a lot of money to pull the same exploitative nonsense. Solo mode can be played with your own deck or loaner decks. The loaner decks are worthless and get obliterated by the AI’s vastly superior decks. So you’re mashing retry until eventually the AI messes up or gets a bad hand and you can finally get an RNG based victory in. The 10 pack bundles say they guarantee a super rare card, except for when they don’t but instead promise you’ll totally get an ultra rare card if you buy another 10 packs. So in summary: Boring opponents, enemies that borderline cheat with their decks, difficulty curve that doesn’t exist because it’s all random, designed to handhold players on their way to the store so they can spend enough of mommy’s money so they can cheat at Duel Monsters too..Fritter07Version: 1.5.0

What happened to Yu-Gi-Oh!?I used to remember how fun it was to play duel monsters. Have a nice session of a game, put strategy behind your plays to combat your opponent…. I was excited to be able to duel online and have fun with people. But the dueling is not fun what so ever. There is no strategy you can develop to combat some of the cards they have come out with to sync with each other. Sometimes I sit there for 5 minutes waiting for the other player to get done with their turn as they syncrosummon the same monster 3 times and then use abilities and cards to somehow deal 17,000 damage without a single attack and I don’t even get a turn. Or if I do happen to get a turn after they do all these crazy combinations for up to 5 minutes I finally get my turn and play 1 card and they go on another rampage of playing cards and combos and have to get again wait to play. I get so frustrated of waiting at times I just surrender. This App is Killing The Fun of YugiohThis might make me sound old, but this app focuses too heavily on modern Yugioh. For those players who are not able to play online with friends often and seek a simple match, they are rewarded about 70% of the time with a meta player with a busted deck that TKOs them in one turn or makes them rage quit in a few seconds. There needs to be a mode for old classic fun Yugioh, when winning wasn’t the only thing that mattered. Sometimes you get a fun duel you have a chance with, but most of the time it’s playing with busted cards in sync with busted combos that feel meaningless each time. And yet the ability to play with cards you can’t easily get your hands on in real life makes this one of the most addictive games on the market. And that is probably what’s worst about it. All data lost randomlyI’ve been playing Master duel since it launched and have amassed a great card collection on a free-to-play account. I tried opening the app and found that after passing the loading screen, it started the survey and then the tutorial. I have lost all my data, however i still have all the achievements on game center. The data transfer links are completely useless unless linked to a konami account? there is no backup, and i have no idea what caused the reset to my account. Something with matchmaking, balance is not right. Horrible solo playIt works. But if you want to play CPU’s on solo, you’ll realize that the game becomes about your first 5 cards you draw. Because the CPU you’re against will draw their best 5 cards to start the game every time. On CPU’s first turn they will fusion everything they have, completely cripple you with their best spell/trap cards and force you to restart over and over until you get a hand that can keep up.
