Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast App Comments & Reviews

Alchemy Stars: Aurora Blast Positive Reviews

Hands down one of the best games ever.I’ve played a lot of jrpgs/rpgs but nothing comes close to the quality of this game. I’ve been a fan roughly since this game first released and I’ve been playing practically everyday. The main storyline is actually rich in substance and not just a forgettable part of the game. The characters in the game “Aurorians” are so diverse in the character designs and personalities. I love that you can chat with them within the terminal and the colossus, it just adds another texture to the game most are lacking. I always look forward to each new event because I’m always intrigued what new characters and storylines Alchemy Stars will explore next because they’re always different and not something you’d always expect from a gatcha game. Also, can I just say I adore the Navigator! As a bisexual man for some reason he relates to me on a deep level. Hands down on of my favorite main characters in a rpg. I just love his personality, interactions between his friends, and his growth of being a young man trapped and isolated form the rest of the world for 17 years. Coming to terms with who he his as a person and what he can offer the world being the last of his race is enjoyable to see. Please keep up the good work and never loose sight of what makes Alchemy Stars so enjoyable for many people. I love this games because it’s not afraid to be different and stray away from what everyone else is doing..Version: 1.17.2

Never had gacha game characters care so much about my sleep scheduleI usually don’t write reviews for apps, but when I opened the app at 2am and got an in game text message from a character telling me to go to bed, i felt compelled to. The adorable colossus section where you can watch the characters walk around and interact with the ship, and the text messages add a level to the characters that makes you feel closer than I’ve found in other games :) there was a lot of love put into these characters and their individual personalities and stories I have played a lot of gacha games, and I can confidently say this is one of my favorites. The gameplay is genuinely fun, and it’s pretty easy to get material needed for pulls. I have a strong team of purely 5* and 6* characters, and haven’t needed to spend any money to get there. My one request would be some changes to the auto battle system, specifically when it comes to farming resources. The fact that you can’t do anything else when autobattling makes the ability to line up ten battles to get materials feel a little useless, because it still takes up a chunk of time where you can’t do anything else. Maybe add the ability to have it calculate and finish automatically, or simply allow autobattles to occur in the background while you do other things? Otherwise, it’s genuinely a really fun app with good characters and unique features.Version: 1.2.2

Too good to skipThe game is free-to-play and doesn't force to pay to collect characters that you like with a generous premium currency income unless you are extremely lucky or a min-maxing person. The majoirty of characters are viable and quite unique, even some with lowest stars. The art and music are peerless. You will stare at illustrations more often than playing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The gameplay is neutral. Some love it, some not. Either way, connecting 15+ tiles and then making bosses evaporate is addictive. The endgame -Spire- is challenging and really depends on the players' strategy (so you don't slap bosses with money) Kind of grindy as first (like most gacha games) but become better later. The energy refill price is reasonable. There are free energy packs here and there so you can pace yourself without worrying about losing efficiency if you decide to become lazy to play one day. Developers are responsive and do listen to feedbacks (BIG ULTRA PLUS pros of the game). My only minir complain is that the RNG element of grids is really bothersome. There would be a big improvement of quality of life if there is a shortcut to restart stages because players are going to reset stages with bad initial grids anyway. Characters with reset tiles like Uriel is still good even with this because the reseting skill is faster than loading a new stage and they have a better chance of generating desired tiles..Version: 1.0.2

It’s great!!Upon recommendation from a friend, i gave this game a try. I was preparing myself to either get bored very quickly or be uninterested in what it had to offer after a while. I was pleasantly surprised, though. Playing strategy games isn’t one of the things i’m too good at, but this game makes it enjoyable to some extent. The character design in this game is actually one of the main reasons I began playing. The live 2D and the use of color and aesthetics on each individual character is very impressive. For a fantasy j-rpg such as this one, the story is exceptional. I really like how there is some degree of personalization you can give the main character, while also having it fit well with the story. I find it to be much more immersive than making your own custom character or having a fixed one. As long as the main story is interesting and engaging, then I’ll be sure to keep playing. As for the rest of the game mechanics, they seem pretty smooth. Being able to have chat messages from the different characters really adds warmth and life to them, and to the main character as well. Overall, for being one of thousands of its kind, Alchemy Stars really stands out to me. As long as greed doesn’t get in the way of making a good game, then i have a feeling that you’ll have a lot more supportive players in the future!.Version: 1.2.2

A little upsetI love this game the art, gameplay, and music are all so nice but I do have a problem with the Born To Act thing it just cost to much I originally thought I would pay ten dollars get the tickets spin ten times and get the outfit. I was like I really like this game and I want to support it but when I realized that the tickets needed to spin grew with every spin I got a little upset because I don’t have all the money in the world but I gave it a try. I spent a little over THIRTY DOLLARS and I still wasn’t able to get the outfit for him and Charon is one of my favorite characters from this game I also had one other item that was possible to get so that means I would have had to spend over fifty dollars for it to be guaranteed. My luck is absolutely horrible so what I’m say is that the system for it seems pretty unfair especially if you have bad luck and no money. It would have been ten times better if you just payed ten dollars got ten tickets and are able to spin ten times instead of like three. This was ,what I feel, a low move to make I know it makes more money but I feel that there will be many unsatisfied customers like me. I just thought I should say this because it just felt right. So if there is a way could make it a bit more fair instead of luck and how much money you have based that would be nice. And I’m broke know so that’s not making me fill any better..Version: 1.13.2

A must try !This’s easily one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in a long time; nothing feels redundant, perfectly designed auto functions, well done character design -as well as character specific dialogue (just the right amount of it) and the game is deep with strategy. Hats off to you devs for creating something that captures as many popular interests while doing something completely unique, 10/10. My only criticism as of now are the account backup options, as there is no way to link an E-Mail, just social media or, in my case, Apple account. (Edit).. everything has been great since my former review, just wanted to add that I really wish they would remove all the harassment surrounding players sleep schedule. Beyond a certain amount of gameplay you will literally get bombarded with messages about needing to sleep/go to bed via txt messages, base interactions/Gen dialogue. Then again if you log in earlier the next day about “being an early riser” & get harassed again for being “too hard of a worker.” Some is fine but this is REALLY beyond obnoxious, offensive and tbh feels like an invasion of privacy. Please change this!!.Version: 1.0.2

Great game but flawedThis is one of my favorite games I have, but some things make it annoying. The first one and the reason for this review is for two different ‘character banners’ are available. They was one character I wanted at the time (a five star, not the 6 star also on the banner) so I spent everything wish I had to get him and then a few days after I got him, I just got a free copy from an event. And after some sorry I decided I wanted the 6 star on the OTHER banner, but the chances of getting them with absolutely nothing is very low. Basically I just wish, you could’ve put up some form of disclaimer on the wishing screen that the 5 star characters on both of these banners would be obtainable for free. So now I’m angry. Another annoying thing about it is that it will not turn off. If I fall asleep while it’s playing, it won’t turn off until my phone dies while I’m asleep, losing more rewards from the ‘auto battles’ I tried to do while I lay awake in the darkness. But then I wake up and I have a dead phone, no rewards, and yeah it’s just really annoying. On the plus side I’ve been playing this game for more than a year now so at least it’s fun enough for me to keep playing..Version: 1.10.0

Best GachaRates are pretty low but I got 7 6-stars and 90% of the 5 stars available throughout my first month 1/2 of playing f2p. Characters are cool and the gameplay is nice. I would like to see a lot more variety between the characters and their skills because there’s a lot of mirrored characters between attributes. It’s not a problem because this way you’ll always have solid synergies between teams just with different attributes. I completed the campaign with all stars collected with a mono blue team the entire way, and now that I have the means to farm all the available resources I can level and create similar teams to my main just in a different color. This is what I mean by we need more diverse and niche characters. But I’m sure with time we’ll have a much longer list of characters since this game did just come out not too long ago. The story is quite good actually in this game and read a good chunk throughout my play through because it was that engaging. The small interactions you get with the characters you recruit are awesome. Overall I give this game 5 stars. Can’t wait for more updates and events..Version: 1.1.0

Unique Gameplay and Great CharactersTo preface this review, I’ve been playing various gacha games for a long while now. However, the only ones that have kept me playing are mainly because they’re based on properties I was interested in before finding the game, i.e. DBZ Dokkan Battle and Fire Emblem Heroes. I saw an ad for Alchemy Stars last summer during its release and thought it looked solid, so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay and found it pretty entertaining, and the characters were stellar. Unfortunately, I lost interest and only picked it back up last month, but I am very glad I gave it another go. The gameplay is unique enough to stand out from other similar games, and the characters are very enjoyable and the ways to interact with them are a lot of fun. The game also gives you plenty of summoning currency to build teams, and even many of the lower rarity units are viable enough to become a staple on some teams. Overall, if you’re looking for a game with a fun technofantasy vibe with great gameplay and story, you won’t be disappointed by Alchemy Stars..Version: 1.11.2

Pretty darn goodAs far as mobile gacha games go, this ones pretty ok. My biggest problem is that the menus are difficult to navigate. There’s so much stuff on the Home Screen that it’s hard to find the stuff I want to do, or collect all of my daily rewards. If you guys could maybe simplify it a bit, or categorize things better. Maybe a big tab that says quests and rewards, and clicking that sends you to that section, which has some stuff in it. I can tell it’ll get pretty grindy mid to late game though, but I don’t know how to solve that. It’s an inherent problem with having additional upgrade systems like Ascension and Breakthrough. It’s a gacha game, but I got two 6 stars and seven 5 stars on my first day. Maybe I’m a bit lucky, but the rates don’t seem all that bad. Another small problem is the cutscenes. It’s a free to play game, so I don’t expect too much, but having to click skip so much is a bit annoying. If they were more interesting and didn’t just have character portraits above text boxes, I’d probably bother to watch them, but they aren’t any more than that. Overall, pretty good game, and an interesting reuse of the good old connect the dots to do stuff..Version: 1.0.2

Wonderful game and Devs! This game is different from most RPG idle games I play. BUT it’s all around amazing. Best rewards, Devs give out awesome gifts on every holiday.. you don’t have to spend money, but if you do it’s totally worth it for the price. Nothing is over $30. Also the $30 pack will take you a LONG way. It’s super easy to save crystals (so you don’t hardly need to spend money), crystals allow you to summon, among other things! Auto mode is great, you can set it to go 1-20 or however many rounds you want then it’ll quit on its own, no worries about losing more than you want. All the graphics, art work, and details of everything in this game is amazing. It’s easy to read and understand. (USA 🇺🇸 English) some games aren’t translated really good so you can’t even read the storyline’s. But this one’s amazing! I’m in love 😍 and I’d highly recommend this game to everyone that loves games and is looking for a new, fresh one. Did I mention the story and characters are all amazing! 🥰 Just get it already!.Version: 1.6.0

8-14 is way to hardThe game is great but this one level is too hard for the casual gamer. Yes it can be beaten but if you aren’t a player who really plans out and reviews every characters abilities then you’re going to keep losing. Added with the fact that the enemies on this map can continuously reset your characters abilities (so you can’t use abilities on this map practically), you’re stuck hoping the tiles line up with the color of your team, which is a matter of luck. That’s another thing the game is a matter of luck and though this could be looked over because all of the other levels are doable, this level makes you really see how luck plays an important role in this game. Now, if you tried to beat this level and you don’t have the right units, it’ll take forever to build up others just to try them out in this level. The level is too hard, I’ve been trying for a month now and can’t quite get it. I’ve given the game a three star because the level is too hard and makes trying to level characters harder, seeing as I can’t get access to higher exp levels if I don’t beat this level..Version: 1.2.2

Really fun game with one glaring issue..Been playing this game for around 6-7 months now and It’s a really well made game when it comes to the gameplay, music, art and even the story and world building, there’s a surprising amount of depth to it. But the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is because of the gacha pity system, now don’t forget this game at its core is a gacha game but even then the devs are very generous and they provide you with a lot of pulls even if you’ve been playing for a while, your chances of getting a 6 star (highest rarity unit) even go up by 2% each pull after the 50th one! sounds great right? but see the problem is that you’re not guaranteed the banner unit unless you get TWO off banner 6 stars, so you either get lucky or all your resources go down the drain and you never get the desired character. I hope they rethink that system and make it less of a pain to pull a specific character because I really like this game and I hate when I pull for a character I like only to get shafted and feel like I wasted my pulls..Version: 1.19.4

Great game, I absolutely recommendLike the title said, this game is truly a gem imo. I love almost everything about it, from the characters to the story it’s amazing. The art is beautiful, the character designs are amazing, the gameplay is interesting and fun, and the rates are also pretty decent. The endgame is slow, but very rewarding when you beat a difficult level, both spire and calamity codex are very nice. My main gripes with the game itself are both with the gacha system. As of now, there is absolutely no guarantee that you will get a banner character. There is a soft pity system which will increase rates of getting a 6 star after 50 summons w/out one, but no guarantee of getting the banner character after getting 1 or more off-banner characters. Another problem I have with it is that there is no pity counter, so you never have any idea how close you are to pity. Other than these two problems, the game is amazing imo. Completely recommend even with these problems!.Version: 1.2.7

Refreshing Gameplay. . . ButI am really loving this game. Only been playing for 2 weeks and spent a small amount of money when I started because that’s what I do. Anyways, the battle style/ grid is fun and makes you think. I like that you have to beat a level before you can auto battle. Story I haven’t been reading it, I hear that it’s a really good story though. I just don’t play mobile games for a story. I plan on playing this game for a long time and there are a few things I would like to see changed or added. 1. Guilds, omg I would love some guilds and guild events. I got a few buddies of mine playing this with me and we would love to see some guild action lol 2. Maybe some Co-Op adventures or whatever. Player 1 has 2 characters and player 2 has two characters and we fight on the grid idk haven’t really put much thought into it. 3. Energy or Prisms, this is really my only complaint. I’m not a whale and never will be. Basically free to play except for the $15 bucks I spent to give some sort of support. One you do your daily’s your basically out of energy to do anything and have to wait 9hours to refill. Yes I know you can spend gems/lumabar or however you spell it to refresh it. I want to save save save. I think at the very least the recharge amount or rate should be tweaked. Overall I really love this game, and don’t see myself putting it down in the next 6 to 12 months. Thanks for your hard work and talent. Great job!.Version: 1.0.2

Highly enjoyable game, but grinding is a choreLook, this game gets sooo much right. Great art, interesting character designs, engaging and interesting gameplay, fun events, constantly updating content, the list goes on. But what has made me leave the game for months at a time is the GRINDING!!! It just boggles my mind that with everything else the developers do right with this game, they keep flubbing it with the grinding. When you are grinding for materials or currency, you have to grind in real time. You can’t sweep. You can’t spend stamina and then collect materials later after a set amount of time. It wasnt a huge issue until I got around chapter 7. Now I’m in Chapter 8 and need several more characters at tier 3 to get past a boss. 15 rounds grinding at real time to get a fraction of the needed upgrade materials is excruciating! I want to play the game! And no, leaving the ipad on for an hour or two isnt a solution. You cant do anything while its running. It is so annoying. Really hope this gets fixed soon so I can enjoy the game more..Version: 1.10.0

RefreshingThis game kind of came out of nowhere for me but im glad I decided to pre-register. I dont normally stick around very long in mobile games because they become stale or are just reskins of other games. This game separates itself in the gameplay from almost every other game ive played. It has similar elements to other games but merges many ideas and new ones into one solid gameplay experience. The game board is a multi-colored grid which you move your team along to create combos. The composition of your team determines which elements you want to aim for along your path. Your captain always launches their “ulti” as long as you hit the amount of squares required but you have to hit your other teammates elements to launch theirs. You can also switch your captain 3 times per fight for bigger combos. This adds a ton of strategy and makes the game less about rng and more about brainpower. Its still a gacha and has a base building mode like Fallout Shelter. It also has the usual gacha game modes but does everything very well. Even the storyline is interesting. My two gripes is it does a lot of hand holding but there’s a lot to learn in this game that you wouldn’t know on your own due to its creativity and uniqueness. It also wants to talk a lot. There’s a messaging, “friendship” system, that I can’t stand in any game. The game would be better off keeping you in the strong gameplay and away from “texting” teammates. Great game so far though.Version: 1.0.2

Best Gacha out there for Busy PeopleIs this the best gacha out there? Well that’s a matter of taste, and competition is fierce all around. However, I will stand by this being the best gacha out there for busy people. The auto grind functionality means that you can not worry about missing out on precious prisms being wasted and get your full dailies done with only a few minutes of your time put in to choose the mission to grind. That said and done, the core gameplay is addictive and fun! Drawing Hamiltonian paths is an ADHD wet dream and this definitely keeps me hooked. Additionally, the characters cater to every demographic. Like your gacha characters thicc, thin, tall, short, muscular, sexy, derpy, furry, scaley, or anything? Chances are there is a character made for your tastes here! Lastly, the monetization isn’t awful here. There is a solid pity system in place, although no clear pity on specific characters. I haven’t had much trouble getting anyone I want, but of course as with any gacha expect to spend a little if you want certain characters. Redeeming it is that each event will allow you to earn a 5 star (out of 6) character for free with max breakthrough (dupes) to max them out. Additionally, breakthrough levels (dupes) don’t make or break a character dramatically as in other games, but they can help a bit. Give this one a try. The developer team is a new team that is very good about staying in touch with the community and has done a great job so far!.Version: 1.3.0

Exceeds all expectationsWhen I got this game I didn’t expect too much, kinda just expected a game to play when I have nothing better to do. This game blew my expectations out of the water! The story is very fleshed-out and well-made, the characters designs, background, personality, and skills are fantastic (they even have some of my favorite VAs such as Rie Takasahi!), I absolutely love the freedom the game gives you such as being able to customize the soundtracks you want to hear and decorating your colossus. Also the small details are great such as just being able to chat with the characters and they even have unique dialogue depending on the circumstances (if you play the game around midnight the characters dialogue will say how “you are a hardworking”, “you’ve been working too hard you should rest”, “I’m impressed you’re up this late”, etc. only complaint if any would be I wish there were clans in the game, but that’s just a little complaint..Version: 1.0.2

Unexpectedly loving it?I downloaded this coz i was bored and was interested with some character designs which i found out from the same artists of this one other game i played. I planned to play for a bit and leave since games like this are not usually my taste and i got bored easily jumping from games to games, but i got too attached instead lol (lvl 60 now.. since when?! 😂😂). Though got frustated sometimes coz of the gacha (does that wishlist actually works?!), generally speaking this game is pretty generous, seemingly listen to the players and keeps improving over time. The gameplay is simple and satisfying so it’s good to pass time and for beginners but not too easy as it relies on strategy more in late game, characters are interesting, stories are hit or miss but generally decent. I hope in the future it’ll be more popular here so i can get more contents hshshsk <3. Wish you the best, keep improving tourdog!.Version: 1.26.0

Awesome design, game concept but needs sweep systemThe bad: To start with, I think the days of modern Gacha games requiring you to farm staging by putting something in Auto-Repeat and setting down your phone for a few hours are way in the past. Unfortunately, this is one of those games. The good: The art and unit design is great, the events are fun and not time consuming or intrusive, the story is interesting, having the guaranteed 5 star on initial 10 pulls is very nice. There’s enough stuff to keep you busy in the game if you wanted to spend the time in there each day, even late game. Lastly, the gameplay mechanic is unique and fun and you really enjoy building up your units. However, no matter how much good they add to the game this one bad thing makes it very unappealing as a game to play long term. I hope Tourdog does the right thing and adds a sweep/offline dispatch system so that this game competes with modern gachas because, honestly, it’s one of a kind and appealing enough to be everyone’s 2nd or 3rd gacha..Version: 1.9.3

Very good game!I have played a lots of gacha games so I have already familiar with the currency system, so far no complaining there. There are only two games that I have spent a ton on and Alchemy Stars is one of them. Though I am not a F2P, I can guaranteed that this game is 100% F2P (spending does make your life easier though, and I just like collecting chars in general). The art is really good, good music as well, interesting story and interactions with the chars. I see a lots of popular seiyuu (JP VA) in the game, …. Yes, you guys got me, take my money lol. I like that you guys keep the art not overly sexualize, the new swimsuit customs are very cute, I buy all of them day 1 :)) where Beryl’s though? Combat system is unique, enjoyable and challenging as well. I only have one complain, I sometimes got stuck on the Home Screen, can’t log in. It only happened to me like 3 times since the release so that’s fine. In general, great game..Version: 1.1.0

Great GameGood game play, connecting tiles become more strategy and less RNG when you have converters. The game gives you free 6* converter by stage 1-3. It's satisfying to upgrade character because they get new abilities, a secondary element, new equipment skill, AND new art design. Yes, every character have a base art and a ascended art. Two things i want to suggest if the Dev ever sees this: (1) Please add some form of PvP. I know a lot of people are opposed to this. But PvP doesn't have to be toxic. PvP doesn't even have to be real-time player v. player. Example: each player creates their own map, insert monsters, traps, etc. at their own leisure. The player must be able to beat their own map design in order for it to go public. Other players can challenge your map design, beating another players map gives grants you "elo". Say you get 3 battles per day. Ranking is tallied at the end of the week. A leaderboard can be generated based on elo. (2) Please provide more sources to obtain Recruit currency, especially for end game players. Once story mode and spire are completed, players are left with weekly quest and event quests to obtain Recruit currency. I don't think that is good long term. Veteran players are going to leave the game, new players seeing veterans leaving cause them to leave as well. I think the current rate 2% and 9.5% are OK. Just need sources for more summon.Version: 1.1.0

Most addictive game ever!To be honest I don’t write reviews but this game deserves one. At the start I was skeptical about the games mechanics, as it looked quite confusing. The tutorials were in fact very helpful, and something I’m glad I didn’t just skim over. The game gives you great rewards just for logging in, and an incredible amount of resources for your journey ahead! The amount of characters are quite big and with a wide variety of skills every unit is unique in their own way. It is easy to upgrade and collect characters as you progress into the game which makes it less difficult to clear stages. I absolutely love being able to message the characters as if I was actually talking to them. It gives me a sense of joy as I have never experienced anything quite like that. This is definitely worth a shot, so try it out and see how you like it!.Version: 1.2.7

Amazing Dev team with an actual interesting protagI downloaded this game on a gacha download whim, but it was the only game I actually kept. The combat style is something I’ve never seen before and is a fresh breathe away from the general turn based rpg. The devs are generous with currency and roll out really fun events (like the shaved ice minigame, which was super fun to do). Most notably, the protagonist has an actual personality and his character interactions with the Aurorians make him feel like a character rather than a nameless face that other characters like for no reason. The personality of the main character is what got me hooked on the game ( as well as his character design, it’s leagues above the faceless black haired ‘commander’ of every other game). His dynamic with Carleen and Vice are so fun to watch and seeing an actual personality shine through all the dialogue make this game 10/10 in my opinion..Version: 1.1.0

Great. Needs some improvementsGreat game and if you haven’t already pick it up and give it a try. Really fun battle system and really f2p. The drop rates are high and you can get lots of summons just by playing. Even characters that aren’t 6 stars are beasts. Some nit picky issues that can easily be fixed: the captain swap button is right next to the autobattle button which can easily be accidentally pressed, this obviously causes some issues. An easy fix would be to swap the 2x battle speed and the autobattle button. Why does the game always kick me out of my email and I have to sign in a lot? Not too crazy but still annoying. Lastly why can’t I play on data? If it’s something technical then playing on data should disable animations to make it play well. Other than that great game.Version: 1.0.2

Too high hopesI played the game and downloaded it during prerelease, in the beginning I had incredibly high hopes for characters, story and art. Over time I have become increasingly more disappointed. The game has prioritized fan service to good story and character releases, and has fallen to that unfortunate fate that most gacha games do. Its honestly upsetting that a game with the potential to make cool and interesting characters with engaging backstory has decided that the bare minimum, same face, big chested “waifu” characters are all the fans want, which is absolutely untrue. Myself and many others I know are very disappointed. They have a hand full of characters that aren’t like this (they get little to no attention) and the mechanics and art are fine. I used to be able to look past a couple fanservice-y things but now that it has taken over the game I most likely will not touch it again. Honestly the word to describe this is just straight up lame..Version: 1.10.3

Pretty goodThe game play is very fun, and the story is decently written. It looks like they really care about their game. It’s polished really well, and feels similar to archknights, aside from the story length which is shorter, which don’t get me wrong, is awesome. The only gripe I have with this game so far, considering it’s still really new, is that a lot of the heroes skills aren’t very unique, even when I get something new, it’s just another character with the same skills as many others I already have. If you aren’t addicted to the gameplay specifically, try epic seven, it’s got very unique characters who all do different things, so even 3 stars have used in a lot of places, this game has a good balance of male and female characters, which is awesome, epic seven focuses more on Waifu’s but you know how it is, they sell. That’s all I got, all in all, good game, but has a ways to go before it’s a 5 star for me..Version: 1.0.2

Amazing Game Held Back by Terrible TranslationI love this game. The gameplay is fun, the art is beautiful and high effort, the world is interesting, and the characters are unique and engaging. Pity feels generous, I love the costumes, and it’s the kind of game I’d spend money on just because I like it. The problem comes with the absolutely godawful translation, particularly in main story segments. It’s not just awkwardly phrased, with word choices that feel unnatural in English — it’s riddled with typos at points, and becomes incredibly difficult to understand. It’s a shame, because I am actually interested in the story, and it’s made getting other people into the game incredibly hard. Please, please hire an editor that speaks English fluently to go through the main story so they can correct mistakes and smooth out the translation. Heck, I’d do it myself for free if I didn’t think putting in a support ticket about all the typos wouldn’t get it lost forever..Version: 1.14.2

Fun Gacha Game!I’ve played a few gacha/mobile games over the years, and alchemy stars has to be one of my favorites! A unique fighting system which is more engaging through the need to use strategy in approaching how to best navigate the map to do the most damage/set up your team to win battles. They’re also always creating new content to continue the story line, or make new things to keep players engaged (cloud gardens update with the 1 year anniversary update)! My only suggestion for a future update, would be to be able to select at least multiples of 10 when transmuting colossus patches into fireflies, which are used to create materials to ascend aurians. It gets tiring very quickly having to click a colossal patch one by one, and an update to fix that would be much appreciated!.Version: 1.9.3

A gacha worth playing!I’ve played many gacha games (afk arena, arknights, genshin, honkai, sinoalice to name a few), and I really enjoy Alchemy Stars. It’s quickly become one of my favorite gacha games and became one of my mains as well. The story is really good and it isn’t grueling to get through. The tile-path making gameplay is really fun (simple, yet strategic), and the devs have put SO much personality into their game. Each unit has their own back story that you can learn about, and there are daily conversations that trigger with your units so that logging in every day is unique. :-) Also, if you’re a lover of husbandos, this game has more than just your average teenage waifu. I love that there is such a diverse roster of recruitable units. The art is also GORGEOUS and the game is very generous with free pull currency! This is definitely a game to try out..Version: 1.2.7

One of the very few games that are F2P friendly, seriously.I have been playing this game for a year and I still enjoy it thoroughly! The game mechanics and aurorians are amazing, especially their art and interactions with the navigator. I love the messaging system they have with the aurorians, it’s nice “talking” to them and get a feel of their personality. The levels can be quite challenging (like 12-14), so you have to plan out each team and strategize how to defeat bosses and such. My only complaints about the game is that it can be quite repetitive with the events and with hitting “endgame”, BUT they have added new modes to help players keep playing. It’s very easy to level up characters, though it can take some time and resources but the resources come easy! The game is very casual and, again, very F2P friendly. I definitely recomendable the game, give it a try!.Version: 1.17.2

Loved the idea, stayed for the charactersI’ve been playing Alchemy Stars since it was first released. It was like nothing I had ever played before. My first impression of Alchemy Stars was that it could be challenging, but in a really good way. I’ve made some progress in the main story, and I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt, my absolute favorite part is the decision making I need to do. Following through with missions, battling bosses, earning rewards, it all depends on how you decide to play the game. Sure you can unlock new characters at regular intervals, but whoever gets to level up and grow is all up to you, the player. The variety interspersed throughout the characters you unlock is a testament to the quality of work put into this game, and it’s why I keep coming back for more!.Version: 1.28.1

Why don’t more people play? It’s really unfortunate that more people do not play this game. The game looks great, the gameplay is fun and engaging (except the few times the tiles don’t agree with you), and it doesn’t even need to be a huge money sink to enjoy. There is an auto battle feature for those of you that don’t wanna play all the time. For more serious players, actually engaging with the game mechanics is much more rewarding. And above all else, the soundtrack is killer. To anybody that may happen to read his review, please give this game a try. I’ve been playing semi casually for over a year and I’m still having fun. And if you’re worried about having to spend a bunch of money to have fun, I have made it through a lot of content in the most money I’ve ever spent was on outfits..Version: 1.21.2

Just startingJust started and the game is nice so far. The story is good and I don’t see any hint of very lazy writing or anything. The summons are decent but I advise the 2% rate go to a 5% rate but for that they have a 50% off beginner summon with guaranteed rates for a 5 or 6 star. Saving up premium currency isn’t that bad compared to other games like Strongest Hero. After playing that this game is like heaven honestly. So I feel like the game has potential as long as the steady flow of premium or summoning currency doesn’t suddenly run dry or stamina issues occur. Just take notes from Pokemon Masters they do a really good job with their F2P players yet they could really use some improvement in a few places they are much better than other games. All in all it’s a sound game with no complaints so far..Version: 1.0.2

Could be greatThe Bad: much like Arknights they really make you work for the free currency to do pulls. They NEVER give free pulls from events (like many games will do a free 10 pull a day for 5 days every so often), and once you get through the bulk of the content (which there isn’t much of at this point), you just run totally dry on gatcha currency. There is currently no way to work on breakthroughs (acquiring multiple copies of the same unit to unlock more powers) without just waiting for a banner, which would be months, save, and hope you get really lucky. As said before, there is maybe 3 weeks worth of content in the game before you’re totally through the story, have an ok team to push into the spire and farm whatever event may be running once a day. The Good: enjoyable gameplay with simple yet satisfying strategy. Music is great and character design is for the most part very cool..Version: 1.2.2

Interesting and engagingThis game has a similar vibe and some common gameplay elements to Arknights, but I feel it’s a lot friendlier and more accessible to all kinds of players. I really appreciate the option to adjust the visuals for the tiles so if you have color blindness or difficulty discerning the colors, the tiles will have symbols as well. It’s a bit overwhelming at first for a new player, but it’s easy to get accustomed to if you take a bit of time with it. It feels like there’s a lot of content to explore. There are tons of characters as well. I appreciate that there are in fact males included and it’s not entirely just women as is typical for these types of games. I also feel that there’s always enough in-game currency provided as well. While it’s nice to get the higher rarity characters, you can use a Support character for most content (last slot of the party) and generally find a maxed out character from a higher level player; it will definitely help you clear out a lot of the story and some events as well! The dev notes are nice as well and appreciated. Overall it seems like a good game. Colorful and interesting characters, beautiful artwork and music, engaging gameplay..Version: 1.2.7

An Outstanding Game, But There’s A Small IssueOkay, so I’ve been playing Alchemy Stars for almost a year now, or have at least known of its existence for that long. It’s one of my favorite pastimes and is also a very fun strategy game, which is a nice alternative compared to the other games I play. I’m really glad I gave this one a chance. It has been worth every minute. I ran into an issue a few months ago, however, that forced me to set this masterpiece down, and it had something to do with a “manifest issue.” I went to the official Discord and all I got was “get a VPN and update to this version.” I’m not sure if this is an ongoing problem we can get the developers to fix, but if this can get fixed, I would most definitely pick it up once more..Version: 1.13.2

Unique, fun, as hard on the wallet as you want it to beThe color path battle system is what got me hooked initially. Well thought out and unique. I’ve been playing since release and really haven’t lost interest thanks to variety of units, great storyline that is interesting enough to make me excited for each update. They’ve also made some additions to the game - some better than others, but all interesting. As for cost, I’ve bought one of the special passes and the monthly pass and a couple other things, but I’m impressed with how much you can do even if you don’t spend. As with all gachas if you really must have something, prepare to pay (or be patient). It’s a fun game so saving for what you really want isn’t much of a chore..Version: 1.10.0

Great game! But confusingThis game is super fun and keeps me busy. However there are a bunch of things I don’t like so I’ll start with those: - through the colossus interaction with the characters you end up having conversations about people you’ve never met yet somehow have a friendly relationship and a first name basis with them. It’s really confusing and actually lost 1 star because of it. The characters are amazing but I really don’t like that I meet people without ever actually meeting them - the progression seems to be slow, but I’m enjoying that aspect of it. What I don’t like or rather what’s confusing is that there are friends? But I have no idea how to even add someone or even interact with other people playing this game. Maybe I have progressed far enough, but regardless I would love to see some aspect of pvp or something to interact with the other players. I subtracted a star for this On the bright side, love love love the social interactions with the characters through the texting feature. I wish I could give my own answers cuz the main character seems a little like a jerk. I also love the story so far. It’s a little bland and follows the basic story, however the characters really liven it up. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see what else comes from this game!.Version: 1.2.7

Please change thisDon’t get me wrong I love the game a lot, the story is amazing, the combat system is unique. But the one thing that is sad to me is that I cannot change my server. I think you guys should add the option to change the server however you want because I really wanted to play with my friends who are in global but I’m in the US server. I know you guys have technical difficulties which leads to you guys splitting the server but please just make it possible to change the server. If there’s a reason why you guys can’t then explain it to us so we at least understand the situation. I don’t want to go through all the troubles of making a new email just so I can get into global server, and besides all other great games also have the option to change the server so why can’t you do that too?.Version: 1.0.2

Incredible GameI’ve played more than 10 gacha games since 2020 because -quarantine- and this one by far has kept me most intrigued and engaged since I started playing shortly after release. As mentioned by everyone else, the art, storylines, pacing, designs and interactive characters make the world of Alchemy Stars feel very much alive. More importantly the game is Consistent! Meaning that even if you miss a character you really like the game will give you opportunities to recruit them after a short period of time. Not to mention, that each banner and event lasts roughly a month and they shower the player with in-game currency (super generous). I often find myself having enough resources to do a 10 pull every 3 days or so. Highly recommend!!!.Version: 1.21.2

The bestOne of the best games I have seen so far in 2021. This game has a bright future ahead pf itself with almost perfect graphics. Though we should have some sort of pvp and clan or some group alliance. Though the game just came out and im rushing things. The game is great. Love the story line the power of every character is keeping a sustainable power range between everyone. Not many glitches or buts for iphone dont know about the other devices. This game is going great almost everything about this game os great. The best part is grinding when you reach max ascension you get to see a secret part of the character. You wont understand the ascension part until you play the game for a while. This game great and cant wait to see what’s in store for the game..Version: 1.0.2

Easily one of the best gacha games out thereGonna make things short, everything from the gameplay, the storyline, soundtracks and the voice acting is just amazing and the summoning system is fantastic!-… Yet I still have some issues and it’s the lack of content. I’m the type who rushes through the game and I know it’s kind of my fault but that is how I enjoy my games so I hope you guys keep coming out with the good work and more chapters for the story! And plus please add more game modes like co-op ones where we could team up and finish dungeons together with other players if that is possible, AND PLEASE add a time machine type event where we could revisit the old events! And yeah that is it and thank you for reading..Version: 1.2.2

Absolutely amazing.I don’t normally review games, but this game is a hidden gem. The gameplay is way more strategic then other mobile games. I often find myself planning my moves, instead of just brute forcing my way through. The gacha is super friendly. I was able to get a six star within my first hour or two with the game, and already have a decent amount of five stars. I also love the conversations that you can have with characters. Only real complaint is that for the gacha, you have to pull the level every single time. I have no idea if there’s an option to skip this segment, but I would prefer if we could just skip past that. Either way, this is a MUST PLAY!.Version: 1.2.7

Interesting rpg.The connect the colored squares for this tactical rpg takes some getting used to but it grows on me as I play it more. If you get tired of it there is a convenient auto play but you have to play the stage once manually. For new players, I advise going into the explore section in the top right and select the resource tab to get nightium (currency) or elemental jaspers (experience points). I like that the explore section also has a past event archives. It covers some but not all the past events. I recommend doing those missions. Their completion not only gives you resources and currency, but some even awards five star aurorians (character units). These units will be a big help for newcomers. As a plus the storytelling adds much background to the world building..Version: 1.17.2

A Great Casual GameI often see people complain about hitting a pay wall or the stamina is too limited. I do not think either of these are a problem. In fact, the game is pretty F2P friendly. I’m around level 34 and at the 8th chapter of the game. The highest spiral level I’ve gotten is 41. I’ve reached all of these without spending a single penny on the game, and I’ve been playing for around a month now. The game is indeed grindy and stamina is low, thats why you have to be patient. There’s an auto button for a reason. Not only that, but the devs are actually quite generous. From my time of playing Alchemy Stars, I’ve often got free rewards from the mail. Most of these rewards were stamina refills and lumamber for recruiting. For the longest time, I was looking for a different mobile to game other than FGO and Genshin Impact. That is why I’m glad I’ve found Alchemy Stars. The story is interesting, the gameplay is refreshing, the gacha rolls are generous, and the interactions with the characters are unique. I love the terminal system. This game has grabbed my interest and I plan on continuing with the game for a good year or more..Version: 1.0.2

Never Played a Gacha that I like…Until this game! This game is TEEMING with content, and developers are SUPER generous with resources making a F2P totally feasible. There are lots of events, and the store is MOSTLY cosmetics (there are a couple of items that can help refill your Prism [ingame energy] but there are also lots of other activities you can enjoy while it reloads. They recently added “Cloud Gardens” an idle sim like experience that connects to the main game, and it’s extremely fun to see your collected characters walk around freely. Combat is fun and easy, but mastering it is tough! You get the whole story for free, and the grind is actually super fun. Love this game! I’ve been playing for a month, and have spent a total of less than $10 USD (I was so impressed that I bought the monthly pass [which isn’t a huge need; I just wanted to support this team, they’ve made a wonderful product!], and two characters that can be organically unlocked for free eventually [again, supporting the team!]. As a dad with kids and a family life, it’s an awesome way to get some light gaming in. Totally recommend!.Version: 1.13.2

Undeniably Fun and GenerousI was skeptical at first, as most gacha games lately have gotten more and more greedy and anti-player. This game is not like that. It is super generous, rewarding plenty of free currency through story mode and events so that you have a chance to get characters you want. The question is: is it actually fun? Yes! It’s a really unique type of game in terms of the gameplay that will challenge you to understand its systems and put together complementary teams. The base building aspect is really great as well. I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for this game because it just exemplifies what the mobile gaming industry could be in a better world. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed..Version: 1.9.3
