Rhino and Mammoth incredible value and tone capabilitiesIncredible value for a honestly ludicrous price. For $6 you can have an incredible array of tonal capabilities for electric guitar and bass (Rhino and Mammoth) I record psychedelic pop indie rock alternative and both these apps get it done beautifully and so intuitively. These apps are not just for heavy metal, thrash, etc. I don’t play either of those genres and I get everything I need and more from these two apps. I’ve spent so much on nembrini amps / effects but I must say I prefer the usability of this app and it’s incredible what’s jam packed into one single app works great with cubasis and aum. Definitely a must for all guitarists and bassists like myself and for all those absolutely nuts about tone and sound also like myself. Simply FantasticThis may be the best guitar amp sim on IOS hands down. I was hesitant on getting this since it seems to have been marketed for metal music which I rarely play , but I decided to give it a try and boy am I glad. So far I have been able to get awesome tones for all genres of Music with ease. If you enjoy tweaking the sounds to get that elusive tone, this app will be a huge help. This is simply an amazing Guitar Amp sim with a new and original interface that is very intuitive. So far no bugs or issues ( 2021 IPAD Pro ). Amazing for the price!This is so good for so cheap. I was skeptical about buying it but the reviews sold me and I’m glad I bought it because it’s literally better than most of the ones I’ve purchased for 100s of dollars . It’s just not for metal even though that’s what I play mostly so if you play other genres you can get any sound you want especially the cleans are outstanding. Somehow better than all the other guitar apps…Love how simple and intuitive the interface is. But the quality of the sound is what blows me away. I’ve tried all the guitar apps out there and the major ones like bias fx2 and yonac and even GarageBand have so much noise when I’m plugged in. This rhino app however is different, so much quieter and gives soo much control over the gate. It’s my favorite guitar app right now. Great ITB tone for endless possibilitiesLike any rational guitar player, my GAS for amp sims will be never ending but this comes really close to making me rethink buying them now. I try out a lot of good ones but keep coming back to this, it really has all the tools I need to get some great tones and the IR implementation is probably my favorite on iOS. Insanely High Quality Amp SimEasily one of the best (if not the top) amp sims available in the App Store. The app offers a huge amount of tonal control and the sound quality is very high. It’s an absolutely insane sounding app. It’s more geared towards modern metal guitar tones but you can get any sound out of this thing. It’s Not too rough on cpu and loads just fine for me in Cubasis and AUM. It also comes with great presets which is nice. BUY IT.Jrb1995678901Version: 0.9

Awesome Amp SimulatorThis app is great. It’s the only thing that gives Nembrini stuff a run for their money. Great presets and a very nice noise gate. Sounds great, but…Rhino is a great, simple amp sim that does what it says on the label. No complaints, there. My issue comes when I use it as an AUV3 plugin for LoopyPro. It takes up about 40 percent of my iPads ram. So I have to ditch it. If I just needed an amp sim to play live, this would cover it!.O’hVersion: 0.9

I love this amp simI’ve used AmpliTube and Bias FX for years but I find myself turning to Rhino more than either of these for a few reasons. 1. The sound is great. I play a wide range of styles and use clean on the edge of breakup way more than high gain. I’ve found I can get nearly any tone I need from this amp sim with some careful choices. The provided presets will get anyone started well enough but if you have used a real amp and pedal setup and have an OK understanding of how stage an amp rig you will have no problem dialing in some great tones through Rhino’s excellent interface. 2. Said interface. It’s the most useable one page amp rig interface I’ve ever used. I love the look, but the functionality rules here. Also, no tired skeuomorphic design. I don’t hate rigs that try to look like real gear, but all that artistry takes up a lot of visual space. Rhino packs way more into one interface thanks to not going this route. 3. The IRs and effects really make this sim sound fantastic. You can roll your own IRs but I haven’t felt the need since the ones built in sound great to me. The Flanger is a different take on this effect and takes some careful adjusting to get something that sound like what I’d expect but all the effects are great. 4. The hidden octaver. Touch the Rhino skull in the middle and drag to add octave effect. Another nod to the simplicity of the interface. 5. Audio Unit support. I can actually use this right inside all my iOS DAWs without relying on clunk Interapp Audio. This alone makes it kill my interest in most of the other sims. 6. Price. How is this so inexpensive and so good? Thank the metal gods I guess. - - - - - - - - - - - - DEV TEAM: A couple of wishes: MIDI mapping. If we could map a floorboard to turn on and off effects and settings Rhino would be the ultimate iPad/MacBook live guitar rig. Still having issues after issue keeping Rhino on GB/Logic iphone13 IPad Pro (2024)My favorite amp by far will no longer load on my iPad Pro ‘24 Running Latest update… Nor on iPhone 13 with latest update? I have tried every amp and they NONE compare… and all my guitars use it as an Auv3 … but WILL NOT load!!!! I’m not sure why they changed the icon, even though that doesn’t make any difference… but I thought the original icon was perfect!!! Big muff fuzzI’ve only spent a few moments with Rhino, real guitar, and soft guitar. Isolating the pre section and fuzz, I was surprised to hear what sounds like an early Big Muff emulation. Rhino is worth the price just for the fuzz. Please make a Shin-Ei fuzz next..ManAmplifiedVersion: 0.9

No output sound, crashes with FocusriteIf I start up the app with my Focusrite Scarlet 2i4 plugged in, it crashes and stays at a black screen forever. Aside from that, there’s no way to control where to output sound. I want to use my iPad as a speaker but I’m only able to if I do not plug in an interface at all - which of course means it’s unusable as I would have to use the microphone and create interference. Won’t work with Axe I/OThis app works fine with my other audio interfaces, but not IK Media’s Axe I/O. This is the only app I’ve found that the Axe I/O will not work in. It works fine in TH-U, Bias FX, AmpliTube and others on my IPad Pro running the latest IOS. Asked for support and got a response that a ticket was created. Almost a month now and no follow up. CONFIRMED: Doesn’t Work with Axe IOI thought perhaps that the user review mentioning that AXE IO doesn’t work with maybe a problem with user error. I bought the app and and can confirm that it is indeed broken. The AXE IO does a couple of power cycles and then the app crashes.
