CollX (pronounced “collects”) answers the question every collector has: “What’s it worth?” The app lets you scan most cards; it’s not just a baseball card scanner! Scan football, wrestling, hockey, soccer, or basketball cards — as well as TCG cards like Pokemon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh! — and instantly identify it and get the average market value. Once you’ve scanned your cards, add them to your collection and track your portfolio. With v2.0 of CollX we've added a marketplace, where you can purchase cards with a credit card, get shipping and tracking, and earn cash selling your cards to other collectors. Turn the hobby into your side hustle!

COLLX SPORTS AND TCG SCANNER
CollX’s visual search technology instantly recognizes and matches against a database of 17+ million sports cards and trading cards. After identifying the best match, you’ll immediately get the current average market price for the card. Our deep-learning models were created by a team with 10+ years experience developing image recognition technology. In addition to being able to match most RAW cards, CollX will also identify graded cards with barcodes, as well as parallel and reprint versions of cards.

BUY AND SELL
New in v2.0 of CollX is the Marketplace, where you can buy cards using a credit card, Apple Pay, CollX Credit, and your balance on the app. Use Deals to bundle multiple cards and make an offer to the Seller. As a Seller, you can utilize several shipping options, including CollX Envelope, where you'll get tracked shipping for as little as $0.75! Other Seller Tools include the ability to set a bulk discount and to decide if you want to accept Offers. Cards bought through the CollX Marketplace are also covered by the CollX Protect policy, where payments are only released when the cards arrive at the Buyer, giving peace of mind to both parties in a deal.

GET HISTORICAL PRICING
CollX uses millions of historical auction prices to calculate a card’s average value. As you add cards to your collection, you’ll see your overall portfolio value grow. Set conditions or grades on your cards and get more accurate prices. As your cards rise or fall in value, CollX helps you track both individual card values and your overall portfolio value. No more wondering what your Pokémon card value is!

BUILD YOUR CARD COLLECTION
Create and keep track of your card values. View your collection as a grid, list, or as sets. You can also filter and sort your cards by a variety of criteria — value, date added, year, team, etc. With CollX Pro, you can export your collection as a CSV. You can also view your sets, see how close you are to completion, and generate printable checklists to help track down cards you're missing from a set.

SEARCH CARDS
Search 17+ million cards in our database. See what cards on CollX are listed for sale right in search results. And if you find a card you own, but don’t have it handy to scan, you can easily add it from any of the records in the CollX database.

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.

CollX: Sports Card Scanner App Comments & Reviews

CollX: Sports Card Scanner Positive Reviews

Slight glitchI just started using this app. I am happy to have a way to scan my cards in and get a potential value based on the last sale amount or an estimated value. I did notice that several times when I scan cards in and add them to my collection (I was adding them 5 at a time) that the total number of cards in the collection didn’t increase making the potential value of the collection not go up either. For instance the total number of cards in the collection was at 267 I scanned in 10 more cards and it still sat at 267. The cards were there because I went looking for them and they were showing in my collection. If you do a fix for this it should fix the current count and potential value so that every card is counted. Other than that the app is easy to use so far..Version: 1.5.4

Follow upI recently submitted a review about how bad the newest update is. I love the IDEA of the app, and when it works right, it’s spectacular. The issue is, it almost never works right. It never recognizes newer inserts, which would be fine if the “search for card” function worked but it doesn’t. When searching, you either get infinite loading, or if you happen to find your card, when you select it, it sends you back to the card screen and still says that the card couldn’t be found. Also, I get that there’s tons of card variations, but there are some variations in which, every other card from the set seems to be in the database aside from the one you are searching. For example, 2021 Panini Playbook Zoning Commission. I have the Aaron Jones card, when searching for it, no matter what key words I use or even the ZC-AJO card “#” it shows every card in the set aside from this one. How can you have a full checklist but then just not have some in the system?! This has happened on multiple occasions, this is just the most recent example. Like I said, I LOVE the Idea of the app. The execution on it has just been mediocre. Prices are also all over the place. It should really pull from eBay recent sell or something so we can get accurate pricing..Version: 1.3.2

FIXI think anyone who uses the app would agree with me on this when I say the app NEEDS to be optimized. Sometimes the app sits on a loading screen when opening, cards aren’t recognized, app crashes time to time, and I can’t scroll through my cards and fix the ones that are mislabeled. I have over 10k cards scanned but had to miss out on over 1k because they simply couldn’t be read.(nothing wrong with the cards)First priority should be to make the app run smoothly, second should be to expand the database used for identifying the cards. As for the scanning part, an idea, make it so we can scan a full page of 9 cards to make it go faster? I feel like it’s possible but only if the app ran smoothly without any bugs. With all this being said, this app is great. As far as I know this is the only app where you can scan, sell, and connect with others to show off your collection. Like I said, I have over 10 thousand cards scanned so I’ve spent a decent amount of time on the app scanning and TRYING to find the right cards if the scan was messed up..Version: 1.4.8

Bringing the Card Community TogetherI have a couple of things I could complain about, but as an ambassador I’m nosey and don’t like not knowing what I’m representing. My personal issues are in the process of being taken care of. My biggest love for this app and the people behind it, is simply because they have managed to take an industry that was headed into the trash with the way people were treating each other, over pricing and lowballing on legit prices. They have managed to pull people from all different areas together for one common goal and that’s the love of the community. If I open a pack or a box and pull something major….we want to see the guy next to us or a new guy we met on the app do the exact same thing!!!! It’s all about the love of collecting different types of cards. Check em out!!! If you collect any type of cards you gotta get on this!!!.Version: 1.6.4

Collx keeps getting better! This was already my main stop to list and sell cards since I joined about 6 months ago, but once I added Collx Pro, it got even better and my sales have increased! The exposure of my cards on the Featured list, along with the buyer confidence my PRO badge and status brings.. I definitely feel as though this service brings plenty of value. Many other perks as well including discounts to other sites, the ability to export your entire collection, and possibly the most interesting of all Pro features… Collx AI! Collx AI gives Pro users the ability to ask any question about a card and get a detailed answer in seconds! I’ve been amazed at some of the answers I’ve received from the AI. Very interesting info, and hard to come up with a questions Collx AI can’t answer! Both fun and useful for sure!.Version: 2.1.2

My #1 app for scanning and selling cardsI’ve tried tons of apps for card collecting, scanning, and buying and selling cards. CollX with the Pro membership beats them all. I have a massive collection from when I was a kid, and CollX makes it simple to go through my cards with my phone camera and get them all in a nice, neat database. I can scan as many cards as I want, see their estimated values in real time, and then sell on their marketplace. Took me no time to get up and running and selling. I’ve even met other collectors on the platform. Also talked to their developers a bit and saw their passion and total commitment to continue adding new features to make CollX even better. On top of all that, Pro membership gets you tons of additional benefits and bonuses that make the monthly amount absolutely worth it. Totally recommend!.Version: 2.1.2

Pricing is untrustworthyI’ve used cataloguing apps for my Magic collection that scans cards mostly accurately and allows you to select which marketplace to use for pricing, along with Low, Mid, and Market values. I’ve been away from sports cards for a while but wanted to scan and inventory my large collection for insurance purposes. This app is easy to use for scanning, though I think it’s image database to match cards too is very incomplete, especially when it comes to matching variants/parallels. I have to manually correct it. I think it’d also be helpful if there was serial # data in the listing options (let’s say you have the variant serial #d to 100 but all the listing options look almost the same) so you can make sure you’re matching it to the correct version. I also noticed that is relies on eBay pricing, which can be super unreliable, especially if certain cards don’t make it onto eBay or sellers price their cards at “asking for” prices vs “sold for” and their asking price might actually be for a more rare version of that card (incorrectly listed). So you’re $2 card might incorrectly be valued at $200 because of wrong listings from eBay. I wish there was a more accurate or relatable way to price cards (maybe pull pricing from more than one source), or a better filtering process. I know things can only get better, though! So I’m hopeful!.Version: 1.5.6

Great App with a ton of bugs.I want to state that there really isn’t another app like this on the market that lets you scan, trade, sell, follow others and make connections for all things trading. It is an extremely deep app with everything that you can do with it. However, it is buggy. I would say every 6 cards that you scan and upload, they can’t find and doing it manually usually never works. So I close and have to restart the process. The app will also default to more exotic versions of pretty straightforward cards (ie, Canadian or O Peech ee versions of standard Topps cards.) The biggest issue I have is that I get logged out of the app probably 10 times an hour. That is not an exaggeration. I’m on 1g U/D speeds and I test the connection every time it happens. Nothing unusual on my end. I did find that if I wait for all processes to finish before moving on to the next one, it works as it should, but that’s not how an app should work in 2022. Real-time should be standard. I complain because I believe in the app. Seriously, what it does at its core is amazing. Scan, find price, organize and sell on different platforms? I’ve been on other apps that do less than a fraction if that and it’s free? Dude. I will (highly) recommend this with the criticisms I’ve laid out. Once these bugs get fixed this will be the industry standard going forward. I’m pumped..Version: 1.3.2

Great app with great promiseI recently re-discovered the joys of collecting sports cards and was looking for an app to catalog my inventory. I tried four other apps and this was the best one I came across for this purpose. I like the links to eBay for the purpose of gauging card values (although this is imperfect due to key word searches in EBay pulling incorrect cards from time to time) and would recommend including a link to other card valuing resources if possible for each card. Another feature I think would be useful would be an option to export your card inventory to a spreadsheet or .CSV file. I will say the app is a little buggy at this time and freeze up every so often, but hopefully this can be addressed in a future update..Version: 1.2.2

Card collector’s dream! After searching through many sites and apps, I found CollX as the most user friendly App to digitally store my entire card collection. I found the most value in getting accurate price comparisons which include recent sales from CollX and other sites - simplify value for each one of my cards. Pro membership is a must and pays for itself. You’re able to highlight your cards that are listed for sale which get prioritized and displayed to all users on the home page. If you are a seller, this is a easy way to drive sales. I started selling at a rapid rate once I became highlighted through the Pro Membership! In summary, this is the place to be for all collectors and sellers!.Version: 2.1.22

Great Potential, Needs a lot of WorkI love the idea of this app but unfortunately the more I use it the worse it gets. I’ve spent all weekend trying to scan my collection of valuable cards into the app and I’ve been averaging about 2-3 successful scans before the app totally crashes, or loads forever and doesn’t recognize a card, or logs me out. And even worse than these issues, over the last day or two, I take a picture of my card to scan in, and it uploads a completely different picture than the card I tried uploading and the card doesn’t end up making it to my collection even though on my profile page it says I added the card. I love the thought of this app and hope it runs smoothly someday. As of now it’s frustrating to say the least..Version: 1.3.1

Just keeps getting betterI’ve always been a fan of CollX and their “story” and created an account awhile back, added some cards and have followed their development. Here’s the thing you have to know, these guys listen to feedback and take action on that feedback. The app is so good and is only getting better. I recently upgraded to Pro and that was a game changer. Now I can add more cards to my collection, export my collection and print checklists. They also just released some new search stuff that still needs some tweaking but it’s awesome and they’ll nail it. It’s also so easy to sell that I’ve almost abandoned other selling platforms. CollX is where it’s at..Version: 2.1.2

Great concept, frustrating amount of bugsI’m super impressed with the accuracy of the scanning tool, been able to upload many cards quickly and get an idea of what they’re worth. Unfortunately there are just too many bugs that make it consistently difficult to use. Multiple times I’ll have scanned a batch of cards and all of a sudden the app crashes or logs me out, losing all progress. Multiple crashes when searching through your current collection. Searching for a card when the scanner doesn’t identify it doesn’t allow you to select it, you usually have to delete the scan and reupload later. Once these bugs are ironed out, this will be the premier sports card tracking app, I hope to be able to sell some cards on here too!.Version: 1.3.2

Just a few things away from standing above!Newer cards almost always fail. Front and Front and Back. When you get to the prizm, holograms, refractors and all the parallel’s it’s not very effective at picking them up. It seems to find older cards with no problem. The value is usually pretty inflated with average and Estimated value. Ebay is very sneaky. Need to improve that part. On the eBay app a sold listing with a slash through on best offer means it was sold for less. You’ll still need to improve them 2 things. Sky is the limit from there. Would be nothing better. All in all! I still use it for my older stuff. It’s a good app all around..Version: 1.4.5

Here’s the thing…Great idea, poor execution The idea of the app is wonderful and it’s so easy to scan your cards and input them when the app actually WORKS! It usually crashes every couple minutes and it’s not a device issue because I’ve done this with a couple newer electronics. When you look at any other successful trade carding app it’s easy to see how bad the interfaces are compared to this one. This app has the most potential out of all of them but it unfortunately isn’t utilized correctly. I hope with more updates it can work a little bit better but for now it needs some more fixing..Version: 1.5.13

Great app!!Just a few weeks in with this app, and I can’t recommend it enough! No more leafing through price guides for hours, trying to find your cards. Click, boom! Everything you need to know about your cards is there. Add them to your collection, and you can list them for sale. I sold 15 cards in my first two weeks from many different states. Where else can you do that? Looking for a card? I’ll bet you’ll find it here, and you can make offers to the user listing the card, and find your price, too! Would I recommend this app? Safe to say, that would be a big yes..Version: 2.0.9

Inaccurate pricingI really like this app with one major exception. The value of cards is inaccurate. The data pulled for card values is often old and there is more up to date data available. Additionally, it may show card value, last sold price or avg for a selected grade and you can not toggle between those so you can have a standard way of logging info for your collection. Ultimately this is a great way of cataloging you collection jus be aware your collection value will not be as accurate as it should be. Mayne add a way for you to input card value and source if a discrepancy is found vs just being able to send a report to the company..Version: 1.5.9

Liking it so far, but a couple suggestionsI’m liking this app so far. I’ve started adding my cards to my collection. A couple of reasons why I didn’t give it five stars, that maybe the developers can look into adding in future versions… 1) it would be nice if there was a way you can add all the cards from a set. The only way I’ve found currently is adding them individually, which takes forever; and 2) it would be nice as you are adding cards to your collection if the app would notify you that you already have that particular card in your collection and that you are about to add a duplicate..Version: 2.0

Absolutely Perfect! This app if you are a card collector of all sorts is absolutely perfect! You can scan all of your cards and keep track of your collection or if you are a buyer and seller there’s a marketplace for selling to anyone else on the app. It’s compared prices to other market value apps and sites plus you grow a following in the process. There’s a pro version as well that gives you a ton of perks like printable checklists, unlimited card posting and much more! If you are a card enthusiast then this is for you! Once you try it you’ll never go back!!!.Version: 2.1.6

Great for cataloging, but valuation should be scrappedI would have given this app 5 stars IF the pricing evaluation was even close to accurate. How they value cards is completely flawed. If 5 people post a card for sale at $100, that is not indicative of value because by definition they are not selling at that price. They can still be worth $1.50 in that scenario. For the amount they charge their pro users they should be able to integrate an api to an actual price guide. That being said, the app is great for digitally cataloging your collection but i would never pay a subscription just to print my catalog. They should have a one time purchase option when you want to do that..Version: 2.0.9

HelpSo the app is really cool and everything I actually found out I had a $68 card which I am very glad about. But that is not why I am making this review. For some reason, most of the time when I scanned my cards, everything was fine. But then one night when I was done scanning cards and woke up next morning to scan more cards, every time I scan a card, it would say error every time. I know all I have to do is search up the card and I’m good, but now I can’t scan any card without looking it up. My lighting is good and the car is registered but I don’t get it. Please help.Version: 2.0.7

Has a lot of potential!I really like the concept of this app but I will say there are still some bugs to be worked out. Estimated valuations seem to be far off on some cards based on eBay comps. I tried uploading some 2022 cards but they were not in the system yet (which is understandable because I’m sure that takes time). One feature I would love to see added is the ability add auto grades. For example I have one on there that is a BGS 9 and the auto is graded at a 10 but I cannot add that in to get a more realistic idea of valuation. It needs some work but I like it so far!.Version: 1.2.1

PLEASE ADDOk let me start by saying that this app has helped me buy sell and trade cards like HECKA. 1. thing that would be great for adding is say the last time someone was online. The reason for this is because I check the app over and over for a month and a reply about a card and I find out they deleted the app. 2. Another thing that needs to be added is NUMBERED cards I have so many numbered cards and I wish I could see the price but yeah if we had these 100% a 5 star but until that happens it’s a solid 4. Oh and I LOVE how you guys update the apps based on problems and fast too so yeah..Version: 1.5.1

CollXSince I’ve joined this app back in August 2023 I have been able to catalog, buy and sell cards at a much faster rate. The Admins and owners of The app are always in communication with us via Discord. Just like any other thing in life things happen that need to be fixed. They are always on top of it and it does not go for long. Finally, thank you CollX or allow me to make new friends on top of cataloging buying and selling. At this moment I’m over 1600 cards sold. The community here with CollX is awesome and so are the admin and the owner Ted.Version: 2.1.23

Best Card Scanning App For CollectorsI’ve tried them all. This is the best app for keeping up with your collection. I bought 20 notebooks to inventory my cards and got through 3 of them before I found this app. The pro member benefits and the ambassador program are great as well. Part of the pro membership is having the ability to turn your inventory into a pdf. Helps a lot at shows and trade nights. Not only do I now have accurate inventory, value but I have even made an occasional sale. Great app for any card collector!.Version: 2.1.2

OMG!Just run across this today was skeptical I’ve been pulling my hair out I have over a half million cards using a paper pencil to write down the Cards value impossible! I downloaded the app and Shazam! Scanned a few cards low and behold I am blown away! This was a God sent blessing for me I’ve been on it for about 30 minutes now and have scanned over 20 cards taking my time only two cars came back unrecognized due to no sales I suppose but hey I am extremely happy, happy, happy and blown away! 100% satisfied! Novice Harris.Version: 1.2.2

UpdateThe customer service all though, they did take awhile finally fixed the issue and then another small one shortly after the first. Now that I know this app is legit I would recommend to anyone who is looking to sell cards that are ungraded l. It almost does the work for you. Easy to use, scan, post , and make some money for your cards . Easy. Thanks for the support when I couldn’t figure something out, they got it fixed. Can’t ask for more 5 stars all day..Version: 2.0.7

Fun and interesting and a great communityI’ve always wanted to do something with my old sports cards and TCG cards that one accumulates over the years. FINALLY- a simple, effective way to understand what you have, get them organized, and potentially DO SOMETHING with them instead of letting them sit in a box. Can’t tell you how enjoyable it is to sit and scan your cards, see others who have sold them, see if they’re valuable, and know there’s a market for them. Great app, great people in the community!.Version: 1.6.4

CollX + Center Stage = PerfectionThis is a preemptive 5-star review based on certain needed updates: If CollX database and community was combined with Center Stage scanning technology and card price updates - these two apps combined could rule the industry. CollX is a great idea in theory, the problem is it is very buggy - the app crashes, scanning then searching the database is time consuming, and it would be nice if there were daily updates on card price changes (like any market.) On a positive note, it is awesome to see others community member’s stats - how many cards they own, collection value, etc. Combine Center Stages scanning technology because it is super fast, the problem is they don’t have much of a database. They are really good with understanding that card sales is like any market and update pricing at least daily. Merge the apps/companies and we’d all be extremely happy!.Version: 1.5.2

Great potentialApp worked great until I added around 20 cards into the system, after that it has been very irritating trying to get this app to work. The loading time is insanely slow and some of the time it pops up with “an error occurred” when trying to load things. Great potential but man does this app truly need some grit and grind to get some of these bugs patched up, truly makes me want to delete the app and go back to Ebay with how bad the bugs are, but I’m going to wait until the next couple of updates come out because I would love a fully functioning version of this app..Version: 1.2.2

Becoming the best app on the marketBeen using it for almost a year now and have been watching it develop over time. I can definitely see the time and effort being put in by the devs and people behind the scenes with every new update to make this app into something special. By far the best app of this type on the market and I’ve been recommending to everyone I know that collects. Keep up the great work and I’m excited to see what you do in the future with your platform!.Version: 1.5.4

Great Idea, not so great in applicationLet me start by saying that this app has a ton of potential and seems to be one of the only ones out there but there is some issues I have in the app actually working. When it does work man is it great but when it doesn’t (when you have to search manually for a card it takes forever to even do anything) you can be as specific about a card but will still keep searching for random other cards that nothing to do with what you are looking for. Again, I think is a great idea but I am thinking that it can be improved on..Version: 1.4.13

Pretty goodPretty good it does everything that it says it does only problem is that they only ship to the US and I live in Canada so I can’t use my $5 credit to buy cards but other than that pretty good Please fix this.Version: 2.1.11

I love this appI have tried other apps but none match even close to this one.Version: 2.1.23

Unrecognized cardsThe app says that wvery shiny card is not a card and cannot figure out what it is.Version: 2.1.17

Really goodThe app is really good and is awesome. The only thing that I would like to see is an update that adds the cards from 2021 and 22..Version: 1.2.5

Price problemYou should link the price of cards directly to eBay. Some of the avg price on the app is absolutely unrealistic. Beside that nice app overall.Version: 2.0.3

AmazingThis app is amazing and add the new Tim Hortons legends cards!.Version: 1.6.6

Ok but needs improvementWorks well to scan cards in (I’ve used it for baseball, hockey, and Pokémon cards) to determine a price and catalogue your collection digitally. The manual search is awful! Painfully awful. Especially when searching for Pokémon cards. Additionally, contacting people to try to buy cards is terrible. Good for cataloguing your collection, but almost useless for trying to buy or sell cards within the app..Version: 1.6.6

Confusion with cardsWhen it works it works right now it’s confusing my mosaic NBA cards for mosaic NFL cards. It’s not even coming close to getting the names right now it thinks Al Horford Boston Celtics is John Elway Denver Broncos, the rest it doesn’t even recognize..Version: 1.6.4

Amazing, but needs database updateWorks perfectly fine for me! However I can’t help but noticed the most recent data for sold cards is from February 20th-23rd 2023, it is April 18th as of writing this, I hope you guys update it soon, love this app..Version: 1.6.3

Great app. This app is great. You can find 100s of sites/ apps with different prices. This app is great for taking pics and storing your collection digitally. Does have a SELL function but not really certain how much actual sell traffic this thing sees. Sometimes cards are not auto recognized but with a tiny bit of effort yoh can identify it if you take a little time to learn your way around the app. Great job by developers. Thank you..Version: 1.5.1

Really coolReally nice to habe free app for that and create collection digital.Version: 1.3.2

Decent I would get it for sure as a sports card collectorIt’s great.Version: 1.3.2

Theirs nothing wrongTheir is straight up nothing wrong with this app you just take a pic of the card and it’s tells you the price it’s so easy.Version: 1.2.8

Thank you for making this appI love this app and I can finally figure out the prices of my cards.Version: 1.2.7

Great App exeptThis is a great app, a little buggy on the card scanning but give it a couple tries and it’s perfect.Version: 1.2.5

Best Card App! Huge warning!I created an account then stayed up all night the first day scanning half my collection. I closed the app, opened it again, and even though I was still logged in, it lost ALL my cards! Then I realized there’s an updating issue where you have to close the app for it to register things like following other users and creating collections. Anyway super bummed cuz it took a lot of time to scan those in, so fair warning. Do a few cards at a time to make sure they “stick”. Also when scanning, don’t try to perfectly line up the borders to minimize the whitespace/background. It actually reads better with space around the card. With all that said, it has a massive database and found cards that I was definitely expecting to come up without results from waaay back. Highly recommended, but the glitches can be painful..Version: 1.2.5

Should be good once it updates a littleIt is good just needs to get the newer stuff in.Version: 1.2

First App like thisFirst app I have seen like this. Just started adding some cards. Taking photos to add cards was a simple process. New cards for 2022 were not recognized but hopefully once new data is loaded into the system the cards will be updated. Some cards were given a dollar value and some not. Again hopefully as more pricing data becomes available cards will get updated. Hope to try the sell a card option to see how that works. Avoiding EBay fees would be nice. Will try to follow some other collectors to see how that adds to the experience. Once I use the app more I will try to add to my review..Version: 1.2

I love this app but please make it so you can scan hockey cards tooThis app is great and I use it all the time for my baseball cards but I have 700 hockey cards so I want too know how much they are worth so please add an option to scan hockey cards..Version: 1.0.3

A fantastic way to track, price, and potential sell your card collectionSuper impressed by this app, that has taken the pain out of looking up the value of each card in my collection. Looks like the new Discogs for card collectors. A very polished first version too!.Version: 1.0
