I forgive MOST of this app’s problems.Most of this app’s problems are easily forgivable for reasons related to the fact that NordLocker takes security measures that others don’t, which slows it down relative to other cloud services. But one problem with this app that I can’t forgive is that you can’t yet upload or download an entire file folder on this mobile app. If you have a file folder that you want to upload, you have to create a folder in NordLocker with the same name and manually upload every, single, file. The time this takes is painfully tedious. Perhaps this is another security measure taken to prevent people with malicious intent to download too much personal information? But even then you should still be able to at least upload a file folder, and on the desktop app you can already upload and download whole folders, so I don't see why this is a problem and why its not a feature yet. Nice system, could use more features.NordLocker itself is quite a well designed app. I’m able to easily transfer files cross device, and keep information safe. It appears to be very secure and surprisingly responsive. Having to put in your cloud password for every login can get annoying at times, but realistically it’s helping keep my information safe. I would like to see more features on IOS and IPad OS to make the overall software more useful, such as a dedicated photo locker. Needs picture scrollingThe app is a great start! But unlike on the web were you can scroll through your pictures it makes it a real pain to show anyone anything. You have to open one picture, hit 2 exit screens, then click the next. I really don’t understand how this was missed in the app version. Secure productI wrote an earlier review but it would not allow me to add a star rating and after looking the star rating was wrong and it won’t let me change it so I’m writing another. Passwords are annoying but necessary auto lock features are annoying but can save you from a costly error. Future improvementsThis is a decent app for the purpose of securing files, however I would love to see previews of images, and also I would love to see a swipe action for mobile app users, it can be a little rough to have to swipe all the way out of the image, find where you were, and then proceed to the next file you were looking for. Thank you for tryingI used NordLocker on my iPhone 12 pro max with iOS 17.1 and had no issues but recently I purchased a newer phone running iOS 18.2 and I can't even get the app to launch on it… I know there are a lot of safety things at play from both sides and I greatly appreciate the work that is trying to be done but this app is most definitely not at the final point that it has the potential of reaching. Needs An Actual AppBeen waiting for Nordlocker to finally come to the App Store so I can work from my phone and not have to use my laptop all the time. NordLocker: Private Cloud Negative Reviews

It’s a start…I’m trying my best to like this app, after waiting so long for it to reappear in the App Store. My main problem is the consistent need to re-enter my master password after launching the app. My master password is quite complex, so I have to go to my password manager, copy it, then paste it into the app just to get going. After that, there is very little that I can do with the app other than viewing files, and to do this you have to do it one by one. For example, if you have a folder full of .pdf’s, you have to open and close to view each file. There’s no option to quickly swipe between files. There isn’t any thumbnail caching either, so if your files have generic names, you don’t know what you’re opening. For now, I’m sticking with Tresorit. I know things will get better as time goes on, but right now it’s not worth the hassle to use this app. With having to enter my master password every time, I’m better off using the website. It at least caches thumbnails and allows me to quickly swipe through files. It’s an OK start, but definitely could be 1000x better. Needs much improvementI have subscriptions to every Nord product and I like them all, except the current version of NordLocker. I really want to switch from storing all my important stuff on Google Drive to storing it all on NordLocker, and have been waiting anxiously for the app to hit the App Store. But now that it’s out and available on the App Store, it leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, I shouldn’t have to enter my master password every time I want to open my NordLocker. My master password is long and complex, so I have to log into my NordPass account, then copy and paste my password into the launch screen. This sometimes malfunctions and refuses to let me log into my NordLocker at all! Then once inside, it is a pain to switch between files. All in all, I think once NordLocker has been around and had the kinks/bugs worked out, it’ll be a fine app. But for now, there’s still a lot that needs to be improved upon before it becomes my (or anyone’s) cloud storage app of choice..DfdemtVersion: 2.3.0

Just frustratingI had initially signed up to take advantage of an offer that seemed like a good deal in terms of cost for a 2 TB plan. After a little while, I decided I should probably cancel. I reached out to the support team (the only way to cancel) and let them know I wasn’t happy with it. They then told me something to make me think of it more as a security service and not simply something like Dropbox/ Google drive, and I ended up not canceling. I then had no doubt that from a security standpoint, my data would be safe, now though I’m not so confident having used the software that it will really be reliable in the end. Now I’m trying to use the app by uploading a bunch of files since I have all that space to play with, but their software for doing this is very underdeveloped. Everything takes a long time to upload, organizing things (especially keeping track of what’s uploaded vs on your local disk) is not intuitive, on and on. Viewing picturesIt would be nice to be able to slide through photos instead of having to go back and selecting the next one and opening it up in a file viewer each time. I can’t just slide from photo to photo? There’s also no preview of the image. I have to guess what imagine it is by the name and date. I want to like this app and transfer all my stuff here, but it just doesn’t feel ready or user friendly. I don’t understand the updating of the Lockers and re-entering the same password I just provided to open the app initially and it opens Nord locker in a browser after I enter the password again instead of going back to the app itself? Company backstabbed it’s users.They have recently decided to no longer support on device encryption and are forcing you to throw all of your files online when it’s a lot easier to hack into your account online than it is to physically access your computer before you can access those files which means you got a physically enter my home compared to anywhere online. I also received some phantom charges on my credit card and asked them why I was given another two years and they said that I did that but then there’s another charge and I have everything set up to not automatically renew. I’m going to have to call the credit card company tomorrow and tell them to restrict any more charges towards this company and I’m going to challenge the previous charges. I’m in through December 2028 now and I never signed on for more than one year. I feel like I’m being scammed. These people can’t be trusted. I’m done for life. Leaves A Lot To Be DesiredPros: it's secure, private storage. The Windows app isn't bad. I genuinely **want** this app to work well. Cons: The iPhone and iPad apps provide a poor user experience. - The app locks itself in the middle of while you're actively using it. - When uploads fail it won't tell you the reason; and uploads fail at a moderate frequency. - If you want to play a video from NordLocker, you're forced to stay in portrait mode. - No thumbnails for files. Suggestions for Nord: - Allow the Files app to connect to NordLocker since the Files app has a better and easier experience. - Stop locking while the app is in active use. - If the app locks, it should take you back to where you were upon unlocking. - Allow landscape mode for videos. - Media should have thumbnails. - Allow users to upload entire folders/directories. - Better error messages, please. - Give the app some genuine TLC. TerribleI subscribed to nordlocker 8 months ago. So far, it has not worked. When they introduced the web access and this App, I was hopeful. But…it still does not work. Even worse, my data has been lost, and I have spent too many hours trying to get my data out of Nordlocker. For example a locker will show 30 files, I’ll download all, but only 25 actually download. I have to spend time trying to find out which ones did not. Even when I identify the missing files , I end up having to try repeatedly to download them to get everything. A lot of potential. Needs work to live up to the nameI like Nord, but this app needs some work to get it up to the reputation its name implies. 1: For gods sake, add multiple file and multiple folder upload capability, I’m not uploading 400gbs one file at a time. Use A Separate Hard Drive InsteadI use NORD VPN and NORD PASS and highly recommend both. I just tried NORD LOCKER and it’s terrible. Frankly, it should be taken off the market until it works. It kept crashing when I tried to upload files from a portal drive. I stopped uploading after repeated crashes. I then tried to download the partial upload to my PC hard drive and three folders would not download…after multiple tries. Luckily, I already backed-up the original files on a separate hard drive. It takes like 10 seconds to upload a single photo, and you can’t upload more than one at a time. It took me 2 minutes to upload 6 photos, a resume, and a video. 2. You can’t swipe between files, forcing you to view and exit each one manually. 3. You can’t rename your files, and you can’t see what the files are unless you view them. Love NordVPN, But This Is AbysmalI love Nord as a overall company (great VPN) and I trust that Nordlocker keeps my data secure. That being said, this mobile app has such an enormous lack of functionality that I am considering using another service (despite already paying for a year of NordLocker) - I'm very unsatisfied. Some of the functionality would be reasonably easy to program, and couldn't possibly compromise security. The mobile app functionality requests I've thought of are as follows: Existing things that require improvement: 1. Previews/thumbnails - This was just implemented a couple months ago, but still doesn’t work correctly. They said you have to open the picture and the thumbnail will load. The problem is when I re-open the app after a few days, the thumbnail is gone again. Also, this is *only for photos*. Need video functionality (and docs too, why not). 2. Ability to rename files - You can rename files, but it’s difficult to find -Have more functionality buttons on the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top - Nowadays, with phones growing larger and larger (and larger) it is increasingly challenging/inconvenient to have the buttons on the top of the screen. Please make an effort to bring the buttons toward the bottom. Non-existent and EASY functionalities: 1. Ability to use landscape mode - If there's a landscape photo or video in my NordLocker, there is no ability to see it in landscape mode. This is very easy to program on an app-developer level. 2. Ability to swipe between files (left and right) - it's VERY inconvenient to have to exit out of a file (TWICE) and have to go all the way into another file every. single. time. 3. Dark mode - Please give the ability to use dark mode. Many customers entire devices and all their apps are in dark mode. Opening this and using it is comparatively blinding. 4. Disappointed as soon as the app was openedI use NordVPN. So I really really wanted to use and LIKE this app. I always use my 1st gen iPad Pro in LANDSCAPE MODE. This app seems to be locked into Portrait Mode. No thanks. I returned to the Home Screen and closed the app. As an Apple Developer, I can honestly say there is NO REASON to lock an app into Portrait or Landscape mode…other than lazy or apathetic development. Work in progressI’m certain this app will get better overtime. There are a few things that prevent me from giving a higher score. 1. No file images to know what you’re looking at - most of my files have randomized computer names which makes it difficult to know what file I’m opening unless there is a preview of the file when looking at the list of files in a folder. Which there isn’t. 2. No mass file upload - this would make a great backup of huge photo albums on your phone that you’d want to keep secured. But single file uploads makes that idea impractical. Nord services are great - except NordLockerMy NordLocker subscription has been active for about 6 months. In that time, there has been a single 2-3 week period in which I was able to upload files from a laptop without being prompted to reenter the master password every few minutes, and uploads timing out. A choir to use…NordVPN is pretty great most of the time, but their other apps such as the locker are very lacking. NordLocker has you upload files one at a time. I can’t select an entire album of photos and set them to upload over the next hour or more. It appears the iPhone app lacks the option to share lockers from the phone. Poor designIt is super easy to upload pix/vidz from your iPhone to the Nord Locker (Cloud), but it is unbelievable that if you want to retrieve what you upload, you have to download them to your “Files” on your phone, then download them AGAIN from your Files folder, to your Photos app. That’s an unnecessary extra step and embarrassingly inadequate for a company of this caliber, imo. Missing iOS IntegrationThe use case for most users (if not a majority then a significant minority) requires full integration into iOS (ie native Apple file provider support). Not convenientMobile and web app have major failings. Mobile app preview is bad and doesn’t allow you to view even a thumbnail for larger files. Web app doesn’t allow you to watch stored videos, you have to download them to your computer. Syncing problemsThat Nord is in a pro-privacy jurisdiction, they don’t keep logs of you, and keys are non-custodial all go a long way to winning my trust in the company. Not ready for any serious useThey give you 2TB of storage, but good luck using it. It takes several days to upload 8 GB. I’m on a 4MB/sec line. 8GB should take 2000 seconds, about 40 minutes. Add a bit for overhead and I would have expected an hour. I assume the encryption cannot keep up. I really had high hopes for this, but it’s terrible to the point of unusable. Total Garbage!What a piece of absolute garbage the NordLocker app is. Nord should be ashamed to admit that they produced such useless garbage. I was very pleased to be a paying subscriber to their VPN app but now I’m definitely cancelling my subscription considering they’ve ruined their reputation by making this NordLocker app. I had to spend a ton of time and energy (that I’ll never get back) to try and get the app to work and it’s such garbage that I had to give up. No thumbnails.I wanted to use Nord Locker to store image and videos. When the file names are in grid view there are no thumbnail of the picture so I have no idea what it is. Barely worksApp barely works for me, most the time it won’t even sign me in, I click sign in after logging into the nord account browser sign-in page, then have to manually click my passwords button on my phones keyboard, search for NordLocker in my NordPass app which will put my password in but when I click sign in, nothing happens, nothing. No wrong password, no resemblance of a loading screen or anything.. when it was working for me it wasn’t too bad other than being really bare-bones so I stopped using it till the past week where I’ve been using it on desktop as it’s been improved quite a bit with actual thumbnails and faster uploading/loading times etc. however it seems the mobile version simply doesn’t work properly… sad because I’d love to have a cloud storage but I don’t wanna pay for a new subscription with a new service so if NordLocker could be on the same level as Dropbox or OneDrive then I’d probably use it exclusively.Bruh I'm DeathVersion: 2.32.0
