SCIENCE-BACKED METHOD TO BUILD BETTER HABITS
Most habit trackers fail. They try to motivate you with games like streaks and trophies only to turn on you when you fall off. Building habits doesn’t have to be miserable.

60 REPETITIONS
Studies show that a new behavior needs to be repeated 60 times for it to stick. It doesn’t matter if you miss a day or break a streak. It just matters that you do it 60 times. Great habit builders learn to ignore the goal and falling in love with the journey.

WE’RE YOUR GUIDE
Every day we will help you take another step and guide you along your journey to reach 60 repetitions until you’ve mastered your new habit.

NO GUILT. NO STREAKS. NO PHONY REWARDS.
If you miss a day or two, we don’t guilt you.

JUST GOOD FUN VIBES.
Every step forward is progress.

WHAT SMALL THING YOU COULD YOU DO TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE?
Works for any habit: meditate, walk, stretch, floss, read, journal, draw, keep in touch with family, or less time on screens.

WIDGETS & REMINDERS TO STAY MOTIVATED
Track your habits on your home screen for easy access.

SKINS TO CUSTOMIZE

(Not Boring) Habits App Comments & Reviews

(Not Boring) Habits Positive Reviews

It’s great! A few minor tweaks would be nice thoughI love the app all in all and I feel it’s the first app that has kept me honest with my habits. A few suggestions I feel would improve things much further would be: Please make it so we can switch habits by swiping let or right on most of the screen. Right now most anywhere on the screen that we touch “presses” the center checkmark button. And habits are relegated to a tiny font at the top and that’s the only spot we can switch. It would be more dynamic if the font for the habit was larger and the center button was smaller, and swiping a where else on the screen left or right would switch between habits. Likely with your brand of sleek but snappy animation. The more I think about this the more I want it. Also it would be interesting if progress on the little figurines was lost if you break a streak. This may be extreme but it can be an optional thing..Version: 2.15

Fantastic app with two flawsI absolutely love the artistry and interface. One of the flaws (biggest one) is not having cross device support. I understand you’d have to have a database and hold user data for this which would cost you instead of holding all the data locally on the user’s device. I’d suggest adding another pricing tier to add this feature. I’d pay it. I use my MacBook, 2 iPads, and iPhone interchangeably and it’s frustrating not being able to track habits from different devices. Add this feature and you’ll have 5 stars. On top of being able to seamlessly track habits across devices (without having to click a button like restore), it would be great to access skins this way as well instead of unlocking them on each device. Second flaw is not having a landscape view. Bonus extra work: create icon sets to match the artistry of the app and wallpapers. Jump onboard iOS16 developer beta and create some new Lock Screen skins. Create a daily task manager app. You’ll be making booku bucks. :) just a suggestion..Version: 2.11

Love it!A. The only app that isn’t going to look over my shoulder saying “whatcha doing now?” Love that. Science based but doesn’t assume they know more than I do about which habit to start with. I love that I didn’t have to start with “drinking water” for 7 days before I could move forward. As an easily discouraged perfectionist, I LOVE that if you miss a day (or a week) that it doesn’t become the app of shame. I never know if I should start over or quit. So I put my tail between my legs and delete it. BTW who ARE these people that start and just consistently bullet their way through a new habit and why do they even need an app for that? True - that when I swipe right I expect to go to the last screen I was on but when my little iceberg or mountain thingy spins and flips instead I’m fine with it :-).Version: 2.14

This is surprisingly effective at building and reinforcing habitsAfter reading Atomic Habits, I was looking for an effective way to reinforce and build regular habits. This app is the best I’ve tried of all the systems, digital, or non-digital. If I would offer anything to improve it, it would be nice to customize the messages as they can feel a bit superfluous. But it doesn’t take away from the core idea that we like to write physical lists so that we have the satisfaction of crossing off the line item on the list. That satisfying completion is affectively reproduced here with the power up checkbox with a custom vibration and sound. It’s a fascinating psychological reinforcement that‘s well designed and effective..Version: 3.0

Looks beautiful, but a bit boring.Lots of emphasis on beautiful animations, sounds, and haptic feedback. I found the UX too clunky. I struggle to go to and edit the list of habits, the widgets are large and space inefficient. Sometimes when I tap at the bottom row the habit gets completed when I didn't intend to. The part that seems to have received a lot of effort is the different visual stories you complete as you sustain a habit, but the story is repeated for all habits. I understand it's impractical to create a different progression for each habit, but the effect of this is if you have one habit that's "ahead", you know the story and you gain nothing by going through it as you complete other habits, which I found to be pretty boring and lacking in novelty unfortunately. I subscribe to a lot of apps, but I think the price is high for what you get..Version: 2.14

Excellent habit trackerFor someone who actually needs a functional Habit tracker. Other habit trackers have too much other gunk like blogs or media that don’t actually add any value. This app thoughtfully restrains the UI complexity of adding tasks. This app is also stunningly beautiful with satisfying animations and haptics coupled with inspiring narrative progression— gives a good positive feedback loop to completing habits. It’s the sort of thing that I would give 6 stars, because even without this level of polish, this would be an excellent habit building tool. Subscription price is reasonable, and actually cheaper than the previous habit tracker I was using so that’s a win..Version: 2.13

Great habit tracker, overpricedHabits is one of the best habit trackers I’ve ever used. It’s beautiful, fun, encouraging, and the satisfaction of getting another level makes it so I don’t need 50 notifications a day to open it (and it doesn’t send you a ton like other apps.) The big problem is it’s subscription. It’s $70/year if you want any decent “skins”, the cheaper tier doesn’t include any fun ones. That’s way too much for a habits app. Theoretically it includes 3 other apps, but this is the only good one. The other apps included are extremely over-designed and underpowered, an example of when you have designers over following trends who’ve never used the app they’re building. The calculator app is great until it lags while you type a 3 digit number, the weather app doesn’t look as good or act as well as the stock weather app that’s free or something like Carrot weather which is cheaper. The timer app has no live activity support, doesn’t support hours, and is just all around unusable. Out of all the apps, this one feels like the devs never opened a timer before in their life. Anyway, great habits app, shouldn’t cost as much..Version: 2.15

I will not subscribe….. to this app because it is just ok. I mean it is different, looks cool and maybe it gets the job done or Maybe it is just deciding to exert some willpower. Who knows. And also what does one get with the subscriptio? Why not a pay price upfront instead and then own app till some big update? The skins are cool. Why cant we just buy new cool looks which ends up being more than subscription but the point is we own it, not some rental. So my bottom line is am sick of subscriptions and only am keeping what have to have and not very cool looking, potentially helpful for 1 thing, apps. I do appreciate the different take on habit trackers which I normally hate. Industrial, minimal, also 👍🏻🥂.Version: 2.13

This is great and I don’t rate appsSimple, interesting, fulfilling. This app does just enough to grab your attention and do what it needs to without being too much. No spam notifications throughout the day unless you haven’t completed your habit for the day. You start by putting in a goal, and once one completed that goal you hold a button that pops into a checkmark. My favorite part is a statue is built before your eyes every day you complete your goal along with a quote to keep you going. Simplistic, effective, well designed. (Forgive any spelling or grammar, writing this on no sleep).Version: 2.15

The app we’ve all been needingRather than punishing you for missing a day, this app rewards daily habit progress with satisfying sensory experiences, like vibrations and creative visuals when you complete a habit. The subscription would improve the experience, and I might get one, but I definitely appreciate how it does not make me frustrated with the free version (i.e, you can still get limitless habits w/ the free version)— please keep it that way. This is the best one I’ve ever used, and now I’m looking into this company’s other apps. Please continue creating!!.Version: 3.0

This app ROCKS!!! (Your world)Before installing habits, I was skeptical about it ever affecting my life. I regularly struggle with things like putting the toilet seat down when I flush, and no amount of reminding myself ever solved it. Until I downloaded this app. Literally EVERYTHING I do now related to creating the habits feels like a game now! I almost look forward to completing it every day, and the force feedback of the app is just so satisfying. I could do it all day if I could. The subscription is a small price to pay for MAKING MY LIFE SO MUCH BETTER!!! Literally rocked my world. Five stars..Version: 1.0

This app changed my lifeSeriously guys this app changed my life. It works. Whatever habit I’m working on I can’t stop because I’m curious about what the next reward is the next day. It’s a simple premise but it works. This app is changing what I think I can accomplish in my life. Thank you. Thank you developers. Thank you founders. Thanks and much gratitude goes all around. I’m glad this app showed up for me in the App Store..Version: 3.4

Great but costs moneyI love this app. It’s easy to use, has widgets that are easy to setup and show your progress. I love the little arts that progress as your habits increase it creates a little bit of excitement to do them. I sends notifications which help me for things like making my bed. The only things I don’t like are, it costs money and the art only goes up to 60 (As far as I can see). They do it to 60 because that’s how long it takes to form a habit, but I feel like it wouldn’t hurt to add more especially when you’re paying money..Version: 2.15

Best habit app--but still not worth the monthly feeThis app is the best habit app-- I've ever used, but there's no way it's worth paying for indefinitely. I'd absolutely pay a flat price to own the app, even $20 or 30 bucks...But $15 a month? Sorry, but I don't see why they need that--one doesn't need servers to store this kind of minimal data, nor do I believe one needs that much money to keep developing such a simple app. Unfortunately after this month, I'll be using something like Streaks or another flat fee app. It was great using Habits, though..Version: 2.15

Cool design, Mediocre Usability, Subscription based. This is nice looking app for sure. Very much focused on ultra modern design. It feels like a website built by UI/UX firms, which means there is an immediate “neat” factor with bold design choices at the cost of some usability. Like other users have indicated, there is a clunky/non-existent on-boarding experience. For this app, the priority is to be attractive, not to be clear. The subscription model is a bit difficult to embrace, although I understand the impulse from the developer to attempt consistent income. From a consumer’s perspective the subscription model doesn’t feel “worth it” for the software itself..Version: 2.11

We’re just tired of subscriptions.Loved it! But then… Suddenly now every single time I open any of the not boring apps now they pop up with a subscription prompt, and the widgets stopped working at the same time which is odd because I downloaded them on different days. I would go ahead and buy it but there are only monthly or yearly subscription choices and this is too basic of an app to justify ending up paying so much over time. I’m tired of not having the option to outright own something and keep it. Please add a lifetime purchase option..Version: 3.11

Ads for their subscriptionEvery time. EVERY. TIME. Every time I open the app there’s a huge ad for the yearly subscription for the app how you’ll be allowed to use the widgets, customize the colors and themes, etc. It’s so annoying. And it’s $15 for a year. There’s not even a one time payment option… It’s either $30/year for the 5 apps or $15/year just for one app, Habits. Every freaking time I open the app the huge ad comes up man. Granted $15 a year isn’t a lot but still.. why do I need to subscribe to a habit tracker app? Maybe if it was a one-time payment of $15 to access all the stuff just for Habits, then sure. ————————— Only thing I would fix in the UI for the app is to add a swipe feature so you can swipe to the next habit instead of having to tap the ridiculously small text at the top to switch between them..Version: 3.9

Worth it aloneI personally feel like the not boring habits is the only app in the pack truly worth it but I think it’s so helpful I did buy it alone. It’s genuinely fun to cross off a habit and that’s exactly what’s needed to enable new habits. Hopefully future apps will take inspiration from what works so well on habits. I do also like the weather widgets but the calculator and timer are far too simple to be useful..Version: 2.14

Only one device?I have to assume this is true as I contacted the developer twice and on the second email ask if this is one device only subscription. Unfortunately I waited too long for a reply and I have now paid. I like supporting independent companies that do good work which it is but the price is high for a single device and no reply to a direct question. (Service matters). I would only use two because I have two calendars that I really like. Breaking the out would help..Version: 2.15

Works like an app, addicts like a game!My New Year’s resolutions are to practice guitar and exercise every day. With this app, I feel motivated and even rewarded when I hold down the little circle in the corner of my screen and a new part of one of my monuments appears. I enjoy doing things that used to be boring and forgetful by remembering that I have to do my daily ‘game.’ 10/10!! so cute..Version: 3.10

Absolutely Incredible Approach!I’ve never had a better experience with a habit application. Most of the time I rarely open them and the app wastes space in my phone. But with this app, I’m steadily updating my habits. The award winning approach is definitely the favorite that keeps me excited and I’ve been getting healthier and healthier for the past few months :).Version: 2.15

Good app but App Store info seems misleadingI really like this app - it’s got a mysterious vibe that makes you want to keep up your habits. But the App Store seems to say you can buy skins individually without a subscription which would be great - it supports the developer and avoids those awful subscriptions. However I don’t see any way to do that in the app - if I hit “get it” on the skins it just forces me to choose a subscription..Version: 3.11

I started flossingI started reading Tiny Habits around when I found this app. Together with the insights and this beautiful app, I was able to start flossing every night. The dentist was impressed and I’m already up to nearly 60 days already! Thank you so much for putting your heart and soul into making this app. I’m a software dev and I’m inspired!.Version: 2.13

So RefreshingI cannot say enough about this app! I’ve always struggled with keeping consistent with my goals, even when using other checklists or habit tracking apps. Maybe it’s the simple game-like quality, but, it keeps me coming back each day to complete my goals! Thank you so much for making this..Version: 2.13

Game changer for meI’m not one to post reviews but this app has kept me reading which is something I typically never did. Ever since I got this all I have made it a goal to read at least 30 minutes a day and what keeps me going is the neat animations and art style. Awesome app I can see myself using for many years!.Version: 2.15

I love itIt’s simple, straightforward, and looks very clean. I use this app daily to track physical and mental health progress like if I worked out, did yoga, drank alcohol, meditated, or was present in my day. I don’t typically like paying for subscriptions but this one is definitely worth it. One of the most useful apps I have for myself..Version: 2.15

Simple But Motivating!I downloaded this app for habit accountability and have been surprised by its effectiveness. You can set up reminders at a certain time to help you remember your goals. The only downside is you have to purchase a subscription to use the widgets and different colors, but the subscription is $15/yr if you want to use just the !Habits app, which is not too steep..Version: 3.10

Absolutely love the app!I think this is a brilliant app! One initial thing I’d love to see is the ability to sink with my health app. This would allow my goals to be checked off as I complete them for instance one of my goals is 10,000 steps daily. If I hit that through health it would automatically tik off..Version: 3.11

You have to get it.All of the Andy Works apps are fantastic—fun, engaging, addictive. None have been my go-to until Habits, though. You have to get it—engage with the prices, enjoy the Andy-brand of feedback, and be willing to focus on one habit at a time. But when you do, I think it’s a joy..Version: 1.2

Fun habits app, but could use some tweaksThis app is great. It motivates me to do a simple habit each day simply through the easter eggs that you get after checking off each day. One thing I wish was different: It’s hard to switch between habits. The habit selector is at the top of the screen, which is painful to reach. It’s be awesome if you could swipe between habits..Version: 2.3

Extremely unique take on habit trackingI don’t think I’ll do the quality of design and the fun flow of tracking your habits justice in this description. Try the app and see for yourself. It’s different than any of the other habit trackers I’ve tried..Version: 2.11

HabitsI can honestly say that this is the most fun I've ever had tracking my goals and forming new habits. Soothing sounds as well as surprising blips and vibrations make this quite the original little app. Thanks to the inventors and everyone involved with bringing this to me every day 🥰🙏🖐.Version: 2.15

Really solidAlmost perfect, even. But managing/changing habits is not very intuitive. The user experience needs work. Also, if I have a habit that I’m only supposed to do on certain days, it should NOT show up on the list of habits every single day. That makes it really confusing..Version: 3.11

App but habits need moreYou can only set habits for days of the week. I’d like to set for number of days of the week or month even. There’s also no way to add a description to the habit or even establish a length of time for it. The devs spent a lot of time on the design and visuals which are beautiful. I’d love to see them add more functionality to the actual habits..Version: 2.15

Very satisfyingIt is very satisfying to hold down a button to check off a day's work on a habit and get actual physical feedback from my phone as I do so. Much nicer than just tapping a "complete" button on a reminder list! This is great, like all Andy Works apps..Version: 1.0

Great app, but missing Apple Watch integrationSince a lot of habits can be built from using the Apple Watch, it seems like the perfect app to also have available on Apple Watch. Great app otherwise. This would take it next level..Version: 2.14

Monument Valley meets habit trackingI describe this app as a “chill experience”. Beautifully designed, the app is a joy to open every time. It gives the same vibe as when I played Monument Valley, as if I’m transcending the purpose of the app. The suite of Not Boring apps is well worth the $15 a year..Version: 2.13

Oddly no horizontal view?I love the entire collection of app from this developer however for this one specifically there is no horizontal view but the others do? I assume there are plans to add in the horizontal view at some point soon?.Version: 2.3

A great habit trackerMost habit trackers rely on resetting when you fail or pressuring you to not break a chain. This one takes it slow. It buzzes and chimes and makes you feel good about slow accomplishment..Version: 2.14

Amazing!Who are these people that have developed this whole series of apps!? They’re amazing. Why haven’t I found them before. Very fun and engaging apps without being overwhelming. Perfect for what I was looking for.Version: 3.6

Aesthetic but doesn’t sync data across devicesTruly enjoyable UX with widgets you can put on the screen to turn your device into a personal planner. But unfortunately the data doesn’t sync between devices, so I can really just use it on my iPad or iPhone, not both..Version: 3.10

Excellent, minor tweaksLove this app! I have been using it for half a year. However, for the last 2 months the widget app has not been working properly, not showing my habits and says that I have to unlock it..Version: 3.6

AMAZINGWowww.Version: 3.10

No light mode???Default is dark mode and any non-dark mode skins are paid skins? There’s no light mode which makes it incredibly hard to see in a bright environment. I also dislike the subscription model and would love a pay once and own forever model. The app itself seems pretty cool though..Version: 2.11

Super GreatLove everything. The music, the design, the responsiveness. Oh, and also, it works..Version: 3.6

Add Just One featurePlease add iCloud or other form of backup to that. It’s very pity. I lost all my progress because of that. Thank You.Version: 3.7

Smart DesignerVery intuitive and high attention to detail. I tapped the base for fun after I mastered it and I loved how the device responds to me tapping it. It’s an unexpected response that shows the designer knows how the user would play/explore the app. The integration of play into something psychologically taxing like a new habit shows the designer understand what’s missing in the target audience’s life when trying to adopt a new lifestyle (fun). The new skin options to customize the app adds an emotional/uniqueness.This app is just chef’s kiss. I come here and I only see 37 ratings? Unacceptable. I will be telling every person I come into contact with about this app. Thank you.Version: 2.15

Simple! This app keeps habit tracking simple by providing a single metric and polishes it to a shine..Version: 2.15

Pretty good with room for improvementLooks good, feels good with nice hepatic feedback. But it drives me insane you cannot quickly get from habit to habit. Having to click the “switch habit” all the way at the top is super inconvenient. Would have been nice to have a left-right swap between the habits..Version: 1.7

UX need workHow the heck do I delete a habit and it’s reminder? I like the widget and over all simplicity, maybe too simple though in terms of trying to find my way around easily..Version: 2.11

Slow StartJust downloaded, so will be a review as we go, first off on the fail side, it is not a true iPad app, not sure why developers make out that their app is for the iPad when it is not. The good, visually great, setup easy, will try over the next few days with one habit and see how it goes..Version: 2.10
