Pay-to-Win Trojan HorseI’ve been playing this game since launch ~2 years ago and have come to notice a disturbing trend where the game appears to be very generous and accommadating towards many different playstyles, only to powercreep them and force you to buy the currently shilled units.
The problem is that many of these OP units are designed with glaring flaws (like Superbreak being useless against locked toughness, Counters being useless against indirect attacks, or DOT being just plain bad).
Because of this, even though you can have an account with several different units that you grinded/payed a lot for, they will gather dust because of powercreep favouring whatever HOYO wants to sell you.
While they did announce that they were going to buff older units, I doubt that they are doing so out of the goodness of their hearts, rather they were only compelled to do so since people like me have started to become jaded with the game (which has likely hurt their bottom line.)

Penacony and lack of representationPenacony is a beautiful area and I enjoyed the time spent there. But there is one glaring issue. Not a single black person from Penacony is playable despite it being based off of African-American jazz culture. Not to mention Aventurine is a rroma with pale skin, blonde hair, and half-blue eyes. ColourismA lack of brown/ dark skin representation in all of Hoyoverse’s games, despite taking the culture of said individuals.
For example, Penacony is inspired by the Jazz age. During the Jazz age, the popularity of Jazz was highly influenced by African-Americans. Yet there were no dark skin characters, or even slightly tanned characters, introduced in Penacony.

Gacha System FeedbackThe Gacha System Needs to Be Fixed. The current gacha system is deeply flawed. Having only a 50% chance of getting the character you’ve worked hard and spent time (or money) pulling for is atrocious, especially when the hard pity sits at 80 pulls. That’s an excessive amount of effort for such uncertain results.
This isn’t just a matter of subjective frustration, it’s also objectively unbalanced. The system punishes player dedication instead of rewarding it by a guaranteed that’ll you spend the same amount of your hard-work to get something you should have in the first place. A better approach would be to improve the odds progression after obtaining a guaranteed pull. For example, If a player loses their 50/50, they should still get their guaranteed character next time (as usual). After that guaranteed win, their next banner should have increased odds, say 75/25 up to 100-0 if following streak. Once the player obtains the featured character, the rate resets to 50/50. Additionally, the maximum pity should be reduced from 80 to around 60–70 pulls ( not including the 100-0 ) to make the system objectively more rewarding and respectful of player effort. This isn’t about making the game “too easy” or removing the excitement of chance, it’s about fixing real problems that create player burnout and gambling-like frustration. Games should motivate players, not exploit their patience or emotional investment. Take action before you lose the platform that have made you successful.KaeyaXPhainonVersion: 3.7.0

Extremely awkward and inconvenient dialogue systemThis artifact system goes crazy. literal WEEKS of artifact hunting can lead to pretty much nothing. ive spent 3+ weeks artifact farming for my firefly yet she’s barely even usable 💀 my mydei ive spent 5k+ stamina on + recycling all my drops has 2 usable items. theyre not even good, just usable with his kit. making all of these quality of life changes arent gonna do much if youre not gonna do anything to make the artifact system less dog water.
2 weeks of expending all my stamina on mydei’s artifacts daily for NOTHING. i also farmed consistently for firefly in my alt. Constant Powercreep/Banner Greed4 stars are rarely released let alone promoted with the majority being from Version 1.0.. Every new patch introduces a mechanic requiring you to pull the newest 5 star character in order to clear the content and even if you pull the 5 star they either need their signature lightcone or e1/e2. Some achievements are completely locked unless you own that 5 star character and won't work using supports. Not to mention most older characters who had high damage on release are completely weak today even with max eidolons and require newer supports or lightcones to even reach a fraction of the damage newer chars can do. The nail in the coffin will be deciding not to change the account wide buffs introduced in the recent beta.
