Hoyo Finally Won Me OverI never really enjoyed the other Hoyoverse games. They never really interested me with their story or character designs. It all just felt the same. This game though? I don’t know what they were doing before, but they must have gotten new chefs for them to cook this well. The story is incredibly well made, the world is fun to run around, and missions are pretty neat. I’m probably one of the few people on here who actually like the tv parts, and yeah, I don’t like every mission, but I still like going through and doing the puzzles. I don’t really like doing side quests in other games, but this is the one game that has kept me wanting to do them, and its mostly because the puzzles and fights are fun. Honestly, the only things I really don’t care for are the excessive amounts of menus and upgrades and extra stuff piled on top, the fact you don’t get Nekomata after Chp. 1, being forced into soldier 11’s side story (which I do not care for), and that newly obtained heroes have to be leveled up from lvl 1 instead of being capped to your current lowest level. I didn’t even talk about how fun the combat is. Its a little mashy, but it doesn’t bother me, and it really shouldn’t . The perfect parries and chain attacks are just pure dopamine hits. Overall, its the one Hoyoverse game that has impressed me with its character design, visuals, story, and gameplay. Hoyoverse just can’t make bad gamesThis game is very good ad some of the bad reviews seem just lame. The whole game has a very interesting vibe that makes it super fun and the flashy combat and good visual effects mix with gameplay that could very well have been buggy and broken but instead is smooth and polished, which is more than I can say for numerous other games I’ve played. I haven’t found much to complain about for this game. When I first started playing I was a little weirded out by the strange video tape borders on the edges of the screen during cutscenes but although they appear strange at first you get used to them. The animation is the cutscenes is even more impressive than in Genshin and HSR and I just cannot hide wows from bursting out of my brain every time I see them. The only thing I would complain about for this game is my apparent hatred for most of the characters. I don’t know why, but I just have a very picky interest in which characters I like and very few pass the test. I find myself loving Anby, Nicole, and Billy, but once new characters come in I just get spiteful towards them. But this is personal opinion. I have fun with the gameplay and it’s my own fault for not liking the characters, it shouldn’t stop anyone else from liking the game. I just love Hoyoverse games and they were my go-to for every single time I just needed something new to play. If only Ellen wasn’t limited. . .I played this simply because it was the second game ever where I’ve seen a Shark girl, usually games like these are all Generic, you got humans, fox girls, cat girls, etc, but NEVER shark girls, Azure Lane is the only other and I kinda still prefer Azure Lane even over this, Azure Lanes shark girl isn’t limited, you don’t have to spend money to get her, you can actually earn her through the Gacha system, with 5 days left, being a new player, no promise that I’ll have the storage by the time her rerun comes, and how difficult it is to earn any of the required resources, I can’t say I enjoy the game that much even compared to Snowbreak. Its a shame more games don’t have shark girls in them, but right now with this game I’ll likely be stuck without any characters I really can say that I like, I got the starting characters, the blue chick, the event dude, a cat girl, a bear, and a maid with a Dead Rising weapon, but those are all generic things I can get in any other game like this really leaving little to no incentive for me to really enjoy this game character wise, I skipped through most of the story dialog and the one that pops up in game I never paid attention to, nor any of the tutorial stuff, my full focus was on Ellen as I mentioned so I don’t know the story at all and can’t comment on that, combat in the game is great, comparable in some ways to Snowbreak on PC, and I like that Hoyoverse isn’t submitting to woke weirdos on Twitter. One of the Best RPGs I’ve Ever PlayedWhen the game released, it was all I could ever play. I played it for hours and hours everyday because of how fun it was. There’s plenty to do in this game, I guarantee you won’t run out of something to do whether delving deep into hollows or doing things for a cat mascot. The fast paced combat can feel so satisfying as you build up combos and switch from character to character. The game may feel easy in the beginning but, trust me, it WILL get harder especially with Hollow Zero. The animation is so good and fluid that it feels like an old cartoon on crack and the comic style cutscenes just hit right. The voice acting is top-tier, no questions asked. Although, there are some flaws as nothing is perfect. If you’re playing on mobile, I wouldn’t bother with the arcade because the controls don’t feel very good and my fat fingers are always pressing the wrong input. The game sometime crashes on me and kicks me right back to home page, no warnings, but that could just be my device. The intermission chapters feel like a slog of nothing, they could try to do something like Dainslief where it talks about lore of the world (really want to know what the hollows are and how they came to be). Awesome so far… but now.Update since release: Honestly the TVs got so dragged out and are such a hassle, I just don’t want to spend time with that part of the game. Which is about a quarter or a third of the game. Everything else was fine and combat was really fun but the TVs is what killed it for me. Probably won’t be returning unless they make some serious changes. I’ll be sticking with Counterside and Nikke for now. I'm absolutely loving Zenless Zone Zero. It’s been a lot of fun and I think some of the critiques out there are overly harsh. In my opinion, it's the best gacha game I’ve played. Please god do not let remielle be an elysia variantI actually really love zzz. the character designs are easily my favourite out of the hoyo games and the combat is super fun and enjoyable. the main story is very compelling, and i even found myself crying for some of these characters and their stories (sunna u are not embarrassing i love u sm my baby 💔) along with that, i feel that it’s fairly easy to keep up with the meta, and the game doesn’t force you to spend and pull on every new character, so you can save for the ones you like. the only complaint i have is about the new teased character, remielle. she’s gorgeous and i love her so far, but if she is another elysiaslop variant i might just do something terrible. if her story is just another elysian realm i am going to genuinely cry in anger. making her a variant will make idiot new hsr fans flock to the game to call her CYRENE INSTEAD OF ELYSIA and make their braindead drooling references and posting those stupid cyrene dance stickers under every single video of her ever i am going to actually loose it. i cant STAND IT. Definitely my favorite Hoyoverse game so farWhen I first heard about ZZZ, I wasn’t all that interested like I was with Hoyoverse’s other games. But a friend of mine said it was actually really good, so I decided to give it a try. I genuinely regret brushing it off for so long, because it quickly became my favorite Hoyoverse game to date. For starters the gameplay was incredibly fun and addictive. Even grinding for materials is pretty fun. It’s very fast-paced and easy to understand. The pacing is another major highlight. Unlike some other Hoyoverse games where characters can take forever to say very little, the dialogue feels concise and well-paced. I also like how they present it with the comics style cutscenes. The story flows really well and the plotlines connected in satisfying ways. The world feels alive too. New Eridu comes across as a city that’s actually lived in instead of a nice looking background. Each character feels like they have their own life and relationships outside of the protagonists. Even the NPC’s have a lot of personality. Speaking of main characters, I haven’t loved a Hoyoverse protagonist this much since Kiana from Hi3. Belle and Wise actually feel like fully fleshed-out characters with their own personalities. The undeserved hate that this gets is wildI’ve played this game for several hours and I honestly don’t know why people are already hating on this game. People have been complaining about how the game takes up too much space from the get go, but what can you expect when the graphics and animation are as good as they are. This leads into my next point on how people complain about the art style and animation. The animation in fluid and adds character to each scene, and if you don’t like the style, then why play in the first place (you’ve known what the animation would be like, the trailers and leaks have been out for ages now). And finally, people whine over how most of the game is dialogue and that it gets boring, but how can we say that when we are blessed to even have a skip button (yes, I’m prolly firing shots at hsr and genshin). It’s really no diff from any other hoyoverse game. All in all, this game is exceptional in my eyes, and I just don’t understand why people hate on it already (don’t whine about storage, genshin literally takes up like half ur phone). Just as great as the betaPlayed some of the beta for mobile some time ago and the gameplay is still the same which is great. Love that a lot of the bugs have been removed and my account is lucky or something, got Ellen(and her W-Engine), Qinqyi and Jane all for free as a f2p. Haven’t spent a single cent on the game, although it is super grindy to have to get that many draws. Haven’t lost a 50/50 and I hope I won’t for some time. Was gonna go for Zhu but eh I wanted Jane really bad so I just saved. W- engines are great and all but I’d say the best thing for the long term is to not draw for them if you wanna get more characters especially if you don’t wanna spend any real money. Game is sort of lacking grindability though, I’m talking storywise. At level 50 atm and now I gotta grind for lvl 60, I’m not even sure if there’s more story content op after I do but it seems I’d probably have to stick to Shiyu and the Hollow. The game does need a better Bp, most of the rewards are just draws, I think if there were exclusive skins with effects or something else that’d be a great improvement. Well I mean the game did kinda come out so I’ll give it that, just hoping there’ll be more stuff to do in the future instead of needing to wait for events to roll by. One last thing, when you’ll be able to walk the streets as you characters i wish there would be a system similar to Yakuza like thugs would stop you or some monsters and you’d have to fight them that’s add a bit of depth or even some more combos, like basic attack 3 times, then dash then basic, special, switch or something to do different moves similar to tekken, SF, MK, or even any other combat game like PGR. Crashing…The game is so unique and stylizied which I love. Especially the comic book story mechanic and the highly animated characters. But I literally had to redo the first rally commission 4 times because it kept crashing. My graphics settings are relatively low as well so I don’t even know why it’s happening. Hopefully it’ll be fixed considering this is only the first few days of release. Otherwise no problems for me! Awesome game, looking forward to new in-game events. Update: it didn’t get fixed. And comparatively speaking, I’ve played all of Hoyo’s other RPG games including Hi3, Hsr, and GIn and ZZZ feels like a combination between all 3 which isn’t all that bad. however I didn’t feel the same incentive to play zzz as I did the other games (given I dropped Hi3 within months) something in zzz is just missing and I can’t really explain what. The stylized aspects of the game still hold up but aside from the combat the world feels pretty empty and somewhat boring when you aren’t fighting in the hollows. Same thing with incentive I don’t have a reason to keep coming back everyday to play or grind because like the comic book stories zzz feels kind of 2D and flat. Favorite Mihoyo GameI put several hours into Genshin, Honkai: Star Rail, and now ZZZ. I couldn’t get into Honkai: Impact but it’s also got a cult following. I always hit a burnout phase 1 year in. Usually, I get bored/tired, and then I don’t get a new character to spice things up, tilt a little and decide to step away. I took a break as season 2 was released due to life, and returned 2 months later, and it’s been really refreshing. There’s a lot of content to get through, tons of summon currency compared to Genshin/HSR where it feels like you’re getting dimes every time you earn currency. The events are routine but the rewards feel more valuable in this game. Dolphin players (low-spenders) have a better ROI than other gachas in my experience, and there’s many different game modes that reset on weekly/bi-weekly/patch timers to keep you busy testing limits as you enhance your gear. There does hit a point when content is done where it’s the chore login for a few days before new content, but it feels nice for me to take a break and put effort into other things/games. I really love this game and would like for it to continue doing well. It’s been the only action gacha I’ve been able to committed to after trying several on launch. Gorgeous visuals and atmosphere along with an interesting story.This game has SUCH beautiful graphics and is so visually pleasing, that I could just stare at it for hours on end. The animation is also very crisp and fluid at the same time that it’s genuinely a treat for the eyes. Even the soundtrack/music fits the atmosphere of the game so perfectly and kind of reminds me of “Lofi chill beats to relax/study to”😂. The plot is also entertaining as well extremely intriguing, and yet not too convoluted, especially when compared to some games that constantly overload the player with written exposition. However, the combat, while fun at first, leaves something to be desired. After the first few battles, the player slowly realizes that every combat instance is mechanically the same going forward. Which dulls the experience of the story, leaving the player bored during and after the fight. Some solutions to this issue could be to create an auto-combat feature, an odd example of this would be “Love in deepspace,” which has both an auto combat feature and an automatic resource gathering feature, similar to “Honkai star rail.” Another option is to give more variety in attack patterns and maybe terrain mechanics in boss fights, like in typically bigger games such as “God of War” and “Baldurs Gate 3,” which are disproportionately larger games, but could still be used as inspiration for improving combat mechanics. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy this game and it’s concept and even prefer it over the other games that Hoyoverse has put out, I hope my feedback in regards to the gameplay wasn’t too harsh and that Hoyoverse considers taking into consideration the constructive feedback of all the reviewers..Motorcycl3Version: 1.0.0

! STOP ! . A genuine review by me ! 💙You’re probably wondering, “Is this just another lame gacha game to waste money on?” No! It isn’t at all! I absolutely love ZZZ. The controls are simple and the characters feel very alive. Unlike Genshin where the characters lack personality in their animations, ZZZ gives the characters a lot of flair! The combat is very satisfying and fast paced, perfect for people like me who have short attention spans. I actually don’t use the gacha a lot since I already have my favorite character lol! However, they do give you a lot of free gacha pulls! The tutorial is pretty good and the game is actually self explanatory. I enjoy combat with Billy the most since he has such cool combos and movements. The music is also amazing, it gives it a very electro punk vibe. Unfortunately, you can only swap characters in combat which is kinda disappointing, then again, it makes the characters more like individual people rather than just toys in a game. The voice acting is done amazingly! If you’ve played Genshin, HSR, etc. you’ll know that Hoyo does good when it comes to the VA. Although it looks like a fun anime game for kids, I wouldn’t recommend it for children under 13. It does have does suggestive themes and foul language (it’s bleeped out though). The characters often say “Dammit” or “Idiot” which I don’t mind but I thought it might be concerning for parents. The game is mainly directed to teenagers and I think they did a good job! It keeps crashingIt’s a amazing game. The story is excellent too. But for some reason it keeps crashing. And I can’t really track something else because I’m in the story. I can’t restart it either but I can press stage unstuck button but still that doesn’t help. It’s the scene when trigger, Alice, YiXuan, wise/belle go and save yuzuha and they’re fighting the miasma fiend. I fight, but it keeps crashing. I’ve tried over 40 times already and idk if it’s a storage problem. But I’m a mobile player and I don’t have any devices I can play zzz elsewhere so I’ll like to know why this keeps happening. I’ve tried pressing the unstuck button over and over, tried tracking something else( but didn’t work) tried exiting the battlefield( also didn’t work), and offloading the app. But I still have the problem if this keeps happening I’m planning to try to log out of my account and log back in. I still haven’t been able to clear it. It keeps crashing before I go even 1/8th of the hp bar. I really enjoy the game so I want to continue playing with the progress already made but I’m really stuck right now. Good for casual playThe game doesn’t ask a lot from you. Skill wise, you don’t really need to spend a lot of time to get good and clear most of the game content. This is especially a plus for someone who has a 9-5 job like me. If you want high level gameplay with a lot of super flashy dodge and parry then you might find Wuthering Waves or PGR more appealing. Besides the fighting, the TV section is also a new breeze. It’s a mix of story telling and puzzle games making the game quite chilling to play. Personally, just fighting mobs all the time could be boring, but then again, this might not be on everyone’s plate. If you seek constant fights then the TV might be quite frustrating since it’s in most of the gameplay. So to recap, if you are a hardcore player who just want to fight a lot with little of side activities (such as the TV puzzles) then ZZZ might not be for you. The same could be said for the game fighting style, which appears to be less challenging compare to other counterparts. Oh and btw, love the way the story is presented. It’s the mixed of 3D animation and comic/manga style. The action scenes are in 3D making it feels like watching a movie. The story is a combination of both, taking the best from both options. As for the storyline, it does starts in a rather casual way with not much intriguing details causing you to wonder what happen next. However, upon reading the story in chapter 2, things will start to connect. So if you are a plot enjoyer, you should probably be a little patient to get to the good part. A minor complaint is that the game size is too large. I had to deleted many app to make room for ZZZ. The level of graphic details in the game though, it does justify the high storage requirement. Great game, (some) bad playersFor more context this comment was made during release of the game when people bombed 1 star reviews to hurt a kind and great company that makes amazing games. If you just want a quick review I’ll say a the best hoyoverse game so far because it has an amazing combat system. (Parrying, perfect dodges, and some character even have special secret inputs that make them do special attacks that the majority of the playerbase doesn’t know. Ex: 360 while charging Nicole special EX, which extends the gravity field duration with cinema 1) First review ever because the rating for this game is too low for how good it is and it really hurts. The reason for this is because players are displeased with another game made by the same company simply because the new brown skinned characters the game made aren’t dark enough in the new update (Genshin Impact is the game). The game is handled by a whole other team, people are stupid and don’t understand how companies work apparently so they just want to do whatever they can to hurt innocent people who put effort making good games. And proof this isn’t a bottled comment is the review ratios there are like 4% 2 star ratings ( which are still mostly fake) compared to like 30-40% 1 star ratings.) A real rating for this game for me would be like a 4.7 (extremely high, I’m a harsh grader) and maybe a 4.5 on mobile cause the combat is slightly harder than pc until you get used to it). The only thing that I would say is if you don’t like gatcha you might not enjoy the game as it is how you obtain most characters and weopons. If you play Soulworker. This game is for you.Just like the title said, yes it’s a Gacha game, but the game is actually a 9/10. The combat is unique enough to enjoy it hours on end, the stories is so good, it has references and inspiration if others genres, movies and games that you would enjoy, don’t view the over animation as a bad things cause the devs clearly knows what they’re doing, it’s THE charm of this game, otherwise you’re just hating just to hate, I’m leveled 40, so I’m at the current peak of the game and there’s still so much contents to consume, stories still need to be finish, side mission to complete, expansion awaits, oh the character designs for fantastic, I love the future esthetic of the game down to the different regions some of the characters are base off. I’m hyped for more characters to come, I would love if there’s a brawler female character like Yang from Rwby, since this game have the Red Fang equal to the White Fang from Rwby. I would be surprised if they have another character in similar as in stories but not design or character since Nekomata and Silver are Adam and Blake but their personality are completely different. That’s the kind of inspiration I want to see, it’s also only time until they make a scythe character as well. Good game, wait for updates before playing.Before I start: I loved Zenless Zone Zero the few days I’ve played! But there are some flaws immediately. The beginning of the game (which I count from the start to bangboo gacha unlock) is a slog. It’s mindless combat with little strategy and I feel it’s boring, but this will be improved I’m sure. The game lacks substantial content. The style of the game has the signature Hoyoverse charm with its writing, dialogue, and voice actors and art. As always! 4 for 4, Hoyo. I couldn’t stand the game size either, but this is expected with Hoyos games, as something like GI and HI3 are getting above or are above 30-40GB. Definitely check this out on PC or PS5, as unless you have 100+ GB, this leeches your storage. This takes more than HSR after a year + of that game. The lack of a beginner banner is bad, while HSR and HI3 have banners that guarantee a S Rank/5 Star unit, separate mainly from the standard banner, ZZZ incorporates it into your standard, which I feel leads to an issue of , even if we get ‘100 Free Pulls!’, this only gets a singular 5 star, unless you’re lucky, where as in HSRs pulls, even if they don’t account to the 300 pulls 5-Star selector, it doesn’t matter, as you can easily get more pulls. Overall a solid 7/10, my issue of no content will probably last for all of the version 1.0 update, and I sincerely hope Hoyoverse hears the fans complaints about this in particular and improves the sort of ‘Simulated Universe’ type mode, or basically rougelike, from HSR, as I feel, unlike SU at HSR launch, this is severely empty. As Of (1.0) Fun Game To Play CasuallyI personally really enjoy the games simplicity. There are some gameplay moments that are really dragged out but overall I enjoy the simple gameplay. This is one of those games for me that is something easy to pickup and play especially when you don’t have a lot of time in the day to invest into a game. I understand there are some who don’t like this game for the TV segments but I really don’t mind it. This will be one of my games to play when I just wanna relax and actually enjoy a game instead of try harding. The animated cutscenes and voice acting really stand out and is amazing. I love the expressiveness in the voices, animation, and the style of the game. The game also gives me some nostalgia of how Honkai Impact 3rd was when it first released. When it first released it was a very simple button mash fighter similar to how this game is now as of (1.0). Could use some QOL featuresThink it would be nice if they added a feature that let us collect more for materials instead of having to constantly fight the same thing over and over again maybe make it so we can use two times the amount and obtain that after a battle as an option, I just find it bothering to have to do something so repetitive for dailies, but it is manageable, but we live in a day and age for a lot of gacha are just making it so after you beat to an enemy, you can obtain as much as the material that you need just by doing something called a quick battle. Great game, misleading marketingThis game is (in my opinion) one of the best gacha games on the market right now. It’s not trying to be anything else, and the story is really well done. I will however point out, the main beats of the marketing is the Gacha aspect; always advertising “Free Pulls when you download from this video” yet that does not happen. I’m not sure how they can get away with the blatantly misleading advertising, as any average consumer will watch an ad and assume “When I download this game from this video I will be able to draw X amount of characters for free.” Which is never the case. This game should be advertising its amazing combat and beautiful art design. Good but fan serviceIt’s a really great game that contains entertaining combat & features. There are really cool characters that all possess a really cool ability. Characters are really expressive and that’s super awesome. But there are specific characters that just screams or reeks fan service. For example, Jane Doe is targeted for fan service. I don’t really know how to explain it but you could search it up. There is this one ad that shows some girls (idk who) from zzz of course that are showering behind a curtain. They make really unnecessary noises during the ad that just really grossed me out. That advertisement was NOT necessary. Why the hate?I personally was not looking forward to this game when it was first announced solely because it wasn’t open-world, and that’s what I was used to with Hoyoverse’s other game, Genshin Impact.🤔 But I eventually got hooked by the fast-paced combat and different aesthetic.😚 It reminds me of Splatoon, and I’ve heard it’s similar to the world of Persona, though I’ve never played any of the games (I’ve seen clips of gameplay but don’t really know any characters or story details etc). Great community great devsThe community is great. The only negative part are the people who are in the community who keep bashing on the game without playing it. Best game everI have played all of Hoyoverse’s games pretty at this point, starting from HI3 to ZZZ. As a past HI3 player, this very well suits my play style, and the story is phenomenal. I have like no quests to do, so I’m stuck whenever I want to grind more for a character I really want if a banner is out. Genshin wasn’t my style, and Star Rail wasn’t either. But it’s a good thing that Hoyoverse has its variety of games for every player to play. We got hack n’ slash, rpg, and turn based! I love the many other mini games they add in the game and multiple little details that add onto the plot of the story, really putting pieces together. I had to delete all my other games for this by the way 😭. I also love the fact that there are many emotional moments and cinematic elements to the cutscenes, as well as the high quality animations add into it. Reminds me of HI3 animations except HI3 animations were 2D, and this time it’s 3D. Actually, they animated these 3D cutscenes really well now that I think about it. It’s hard to animate 3D animations without it looking wonky. I think the only problem is that they should add more events for players that are up ahead and finished with everything so that we could grind more polychrome for characters in the banner. Iffy start, but stick with it.I’ll keep this review short for all the zoomers that might see this. This game is pretty dang fun, has absolutely clean animations, some witty dialogue, persona style social simulators, decent puzzles, fun and extremely fluid combat, and a great story. But you have to be patient. You won’t just have access to these features right away, heck I probably played for 6-8 hours before I unlocked the ability to do my dailies and use my energy resource. When you start getting an idea of how the combat system works, it’s incredibly fun to play around with, but you have to just stick with the characters the game gives you for quite a bit of time. As you can see, there’s quite a lot of 1-star reviews, and it’s another movement from the community to cry and soil themselves to try and make a change, probably to boycott another game if I’m being honest. No SignalFor myself, zzz is a delightfully fragmented game. The action based combat is visual treat and exciting to play, but the moments are short lived in comparison to everything else the game asks of you. While enjoyable in their own right, mechanics outside of combat feel disconnected from character collection - which arguably is the foundation of the game. The game compartmentalizes itself between modest exploration, combat, and a ‘mini-game-esque’ mode (the TV system) which is given far too much prominence imo. For all of the effort of acquiring and building characters, there is little return outside of combat. Stronger character integration across game modes may reflect the efforts of player’s investment and time. While I don’t mind the TV system, diversifying the way story exploration is presented and balancing the amount of time it requires compared to other areas of the game would go a long way to increase my enjoyment. As it stands, time with acquired characters is minimal as they have no role outside of combat - and time in combat is gated behind an energy system or the tv system. Based on what I’ve seen, great game.I love the style for the game and I play every Hoyoverse game beside Tears of Themesis. I love the characters design and the word play I’ve seen too, atleast in videos. I decided to try it out but I can’t register for some reason. Very good game.ZZZ is a very fun and addicting game. But it’s not addicting in a bad way. The story and characters are very good. And if you don’t have time, or don’t care about the story, there’s a skip button. Honestly Hoyo only adds skip buttons on combat oriented games. For example, they put it in HI3 and ZZZ. Two games where their combat is very similar and more complex then say, HSR and Gi. Genshin has an element system and not too complex combat. HSR is turned based. But ZZZ also has fun and complex animations. They are bouncy, and they are filled with emotion. I’m not saying HSR and Gi have bad animations, but it’s just a different type of animation compared to ZZZ. Lastly, the designs of ZZZ characters are very unique and interesting. Sure, they’re backing down for the newer characters, but the 1.0 characters are very unique. The world building in each little area makes ZZZ feel different then other Hoyoverse games. MiHoYo has defined a generationSay what you want about mobile gaming. Say what you want about gacha gaming, or free to play games… you cannot deny that MiHoYo has paved their own lane in the gaming space. Since Honkai Impact 3rd, the experience this company has strived to deliver is nothing short of exceptional. Every title they release is full of love, unique aspects, clean UIs, thoughtful narratives, multiple avenues of play and of earning, top tier localization, and genuine ports for both mobile and PC. Zenless is no exception and has without question become my favorite MiHoYo title, perhaps to be my favorite mobile game I’ve ever played. The PC client is superb, as per usual. Everything from the world building, the characters, the story and role as Phaethon, the Hollow, New Eredu, and especially the COMBAT is just brilliant. It feels so impactful, dodging with a slight CD makes it 10x more rewarding, boss mechs are smarter, character switching is the best it’s ever been in a team based game, and the vibrant colors of the graphics makes the battle effects really pop. All of the characters feel really cool and unique, and all of them are so likable. I can’t stand overly done gacha games milking characters with flavor of the month aspects and booba. The ZZZ toons are genuinely appealing and it makes me want to use them all, which I’ve never felt before in a gacha. Usually I’d just single out the ones that looked coolest to me, which were few and far between. In this, I really want them all lol. I’ve been waiting for a game and some might call it copium, but this is absolutely the one. The pacing is really nice and I can see that it’s already content rich out of the gate. My opinion of ZZZOverall for me, the gameplay is fun and I love the art style and overall npc’s have like more lifelike in them. Combat is fun and it gave me somewhat of a fighting game back then with its retro style. Environment, very pretty and beautiful, characters/Npc’s love the design and animation they have. Zenless Zone Zero Negative Reviews

False advertising and a shallow pretty pondLike everyone, I was drawn in by the over the top polish so I really forced myself to like this. I've played daily since launch and here are my issues. One. Ads show this is a pure fighting game but upon playing you'll realize that the combat is barely 30% of the game. Instead you are forced to play a puzzle mode, but it's not really a puzzle mode because you are just clicking from point A to point B, and dialogues pause it everytime you click something. The combat is whatever, just mash attack or delay it depending on your character and you're forced into a slowmo screen that makes you swap to other characters that breaks the flow of the combat. Most bosses just stand there like a punching bag and do occasional attacks that are so easy to dodge. Two. "180 free" pulls from ads. This is just slimy. You get a few free pulls at download and everything else is from tedious grinding at the game. It would be like saying you will be given free money but you have to work at McDonald's, not really free is it. Three. Clichéd. Every character follows a trope and is only ever that trope, this might improve further on (1.0) but as of now it is painfully generic. Story is slice of life, not a fan, some will like it. You can only skip important and voice acted scenes but not useless tutorials or banters with random NPCs. Strange decision. The only thing keeping it afloat is the exceptional work of the animation, art, voice-acting team, and the fact that this is a Hoyo game..GrozereVersion: 1.0.0

Amazing ride, blunted by endgame woesThis game feels incredible to play and runs beautifully on my 5th gen iPad, but once you finish the campaign you run into problems. Even if you pay money, you get to a point where, after 10 minutes of gameplay, you have nothing left to do that rewards you with any resources. The rouge-like mode stops awarding you with anything other than a handful of ancillary currency after you beat it a few times. That is a weekly cap. There are no other game modes that reward you with ANY resources once you beat them for the first time, so you’re forced to quit the game. Essentially, you log in, spend ten minutes spending your battery (an hour, tops, if you’re willing to spend $10 per day), then you quit. And let me be clear: I have spent about $40 on the game so far and I have enjoyed what I’ve played, but I’m at the point where there is nothing for me to do. There is no content I can play that gives me any rewards, so I have to quit the game and wait until tomorrow. This has really soured the experience for me, especially as a paying customer. Be warned: do not pay money for this game expecting it to reward you down the line. You are paying to play less of the game, not more. Racist companyAs a person of color (Dominican), I am highly disappointed and even angry with the amount of racism and colorism in this company's design philosophy. I would love to see characters that resemble my family, but instead of making characters that accurately and kindly represent indiginous North and Central American, African, and Latin American cultures, you steal the aesthetics, languages, and cultural traditions of the people you based the characters of Natlan on without accurately respecting the names or skin colors of these people. Taking a Yoruba god (Yoruba being an active and living religion) who is often depicted with dark skin and turning him into a white emo wolfboy with a mispelled name is just shameful. Mispelling another god's name and turning her into a white woman is just shameful. Colorist and racist design decisions like these are harmful and contribute to the kinds of ideologies that get people killed. I was going to spend quite a bit of money on this game because I really wanted some of the in-game benefits like bp furnishings and 5-star skins, but now that I know you don't respect me and mine, I won't be giving you any of my hard-earned money and will no longer promote your products on social media or in real-life recommendations. Racism and sexualization prevalentZenless Zone Zero currently has no playable people of color, and the only Black NPC of note isn’t even human. She’s a robot, and right behind her is a billboard that features items that look like album covers, with one of them portraying a very obvious example of black face. There is no way that the environment design team did not know what black face was given how extremely similar it looks to real-world versions of black face, reminiscent of infamous minstrelsy and the racist caricatures of Sanrio’s Sambo and Hannah. This is horribly racist of the team and it’s heartbreaking that nothing has been done about it, even if Hoyoverse doesn’t release an official statement regarding it. These two elements alone are enough to showcase the racism prevalent in Zenless Zone Zero and the team. The game also showcases the sexualization of minor playable girls in their game. Despite the different fashion choices due to the girls belonging to different factions, most of the girls wear outfits that barely cover their bodies. The shorts are short enough to show glimpses of their butts, their crop tops only cover their chest area, and some even have thigh bands on the tops of their thighs close to their pelvic area. They are grossly sexualizing these characters that, even if they are over 18, still have child-like models and first impressions lead players to see them as minors. They could’ve chosen a different model that still would’ve been petite but could be clearly identified as an adult. I honestly expected better from HOYO, although it is a new game…I have been a HOYO verse game fan for years now my favorite game from them being honkai star rail. That was why I was very excited when they released a new game zzz. But the game was not what I expected at all. The other games, genshin impact and honkai Star rail both have combat mcs while zzz’s mc cannot be played in combat and can only be used to select characters to talk to. Another thing is that in other HOYO games there is usually a bar at the side to click when talking to a character. In zzz, the user has to physical make sure that the arrows are pointing to the character’s name. Then they can select the character to talk to. I find that to be very confusing. It is kind of like playing on a switch. Also, despite the game being new, it already takes up more than 20 gigabytes of storage making it even bigger than withering waves which is already on its 1.1 update. I play lots of multiple games similar to the ones that HOYO makes, so those 20 gigabytes really takes a toll on my storage. I find the characters of zzz to lack personality and uniqueness in designs, especially the male mc. I do understand that this is a new game and it needs time to develop. Should really I still be a fan…?I’ve played ZZZ since the closed beta tests because I was really excited for the art, music, and setting of this game. However… most of my positive expectations have been completely subverted. Back when the game was just kicking off there seemed to be a pretty interesting balance of character shape, size, species/ethnicity, and of course gender. That diversity was lost almost immediately though, and I’ve been quietly hoping for a more interesting character to crop up again ever since. Suffice to say, I am NOT a fan of just any pale, generously proportioned, scantily clad girl. But it shouldn’t be just me, this game initially launched with much more unique characters than the “gooner bait” girls it’s known for today. So with the announcement of Komano Manato (a new male character, with a unique body type) as a playable character I and many other fans are pretty upset that he will be overshadowed by other new stock standard pretty girls. This is especially true because Komano Manato has gotten plenty of screen time in recent chapters of the game and event stories, while the other new characters releasing with him have —at least to my knowledge— never been seen before. I’m really sick of Hoyoverse feigning a diverse cast only to shove more typical gacha slop waifus in my face. I’ve been a ZZZ supporter since the start. I want to advocate for the uniqueness of the game that I saw over a year ago, but it’s getting harder to see the good in this game with each update. Terrible DecisionsTLDR: As of ZZZ 2.0, it’s possible to skip major 1.x quests and jump directly into 2.0’s story, and there’s no possible way to continue 1.x quests without continuing 2.0’s story and thus being forced to deal with the confusion and major spoilers. In-Depth Complaint: I have been playing ZZZ since release and loved it. I took a break for a while cause I had to focus on other things, and when I returned, the 2.0 update was in swing. I missed around 6 major story quests (everything past Tour De Inferno) and didn’t immediately jump into the story. I did a few events, including the food delivery event. Then, eventually, I decided to continue the story. Despite there supposedly being a warning to tell you that you were about to skip the 1.x quests and would be locked out, I received no such warning and ended up being forced into playing 2.0’s storyline without being allowed to go back without massive story spoilers. It’s ruined my opinion of this game, taking it from a 4/5 to a 2/5 at best. This glitch keeps on bothering me, I would be in a middle of the battle or story, (cutscene😭) it would glitch and kick me out. Not thrilledNone of the characters interest me and, I mean none. This game is suffering from the same thing dislyte did, trying to be really cool without doing anything all that interesting. Trying hard to be street and edgy never works for these games because, they're always so half baked. And like I said, the characters are all really uninteresting. Now I really like the gameplay actually and think that's one of the more fun and unique aspects of the game. There's also no denying the graphics and production quality is quite large. The UI is extremely convoluted and really unaccessible. There's alot of aesthetics from throw away run of the mill modern anime but also early 2000's Drrr era. There is cliches pulled from many things that makes this game feel already done despite it's plethora of inconsistent gameplay. It has like 90s vibes to some parts of their aesthetics but also the game feels like it was made for children? The animation is really annoying to look at and is akin to the -jingling keys in front of a baby style-that flash animations would use. Most of the characters are little girls, with the leftover being strange looking guys, women with comically large boobs, or furries. I'm not entirely sure the comic scenes are being presented in the proper order either. Outside of cutscenes, the mouth movements of the characters are really bad. Nobody likes the monitor sections of the game. Alot of it feels like a huge downgrade from star rail.
