I have used the free version of this app for a while and I loved it. I had no problem with it. So since I have gotten more into crystals I figured I’d spend the money and get the full app. Well don’t do it because now when I try to take a picture of ANY CRYSTALS (even previously identified ones) it says none are in the photo. So now you have my $$$ for the premium app and I can’t use the app at all this is beyond ridiculous I would like my money back for this app if I’m not going to be able to use it anymore.
I have started using it on crystals that I new to test it out. And the readings are pretty accurate. I only have a couple recommendations. This app should tell you were to buy/find these crystals. Next they should…….ummmm. Actually, that’s it! Thank you for reading this and I totally super recommend this for crystal geeks like me!
Gem pal helps me figure out what all my mystery box crystals are and how I can use them. You do not need a subscription to use this app, but if you so choose you can get one. This is my go to Crystal search place.
I liked the first app and this one had a more calmer feel to it. it missed some of the crystals in the other app (rock identifier) but i think that’s because they were maybe man made or not considered crystals. I would like for my collection to be organized in alphabetical order only because i’m a perfectionist but i think it would be a a cute touch.
I honestly love this app and how they are able to name all the crystals I just don’t like the payment I wish it was free but other than that it’s an amazing app to download to learn more about crystals

There are no ads at least I don’t think there are you get unlimited scans and you also get calming videos that you can use to help with like anxiety or something
While it’s not always on point, the majority of the time it’s more correct than others I’ve tried. I also love the associated uses and meanings this app gives the crystals.
90% of the scans are correct. I would like to see a feature where you can upload a photo for a comparison diagnostic.
I have enjoyed using this app. It hasn’t failed to identify any crystal I put before it and provides a wealth of information and I’ll continue to renew it. Highly recommended!
Take a picture and read the information. Excellent description and more information on benefits, also pairing with other gems. Great app! love it!
How amazing. I sometimes purchase mixed bags of stones and now I know what to use them for. I couldn’t be happier with this product! And keeping the whole collection for reference?!? I’m so excited.
Have a rock collection; this app helps me keep track of my collection tells me everything I was wanting to know, free too.
I love this app! Accurate, and I have not seen a single ad yet! So, no interruption so far. Ultimately, my favorite part is the collection feature. Would recommend
I’ve been able to figure out what many of the stones I’ve collected over the years are.
I’m enjoying my trails in nature & finding things that peak my curiosity. Then the app allows me to search for what I have & it’s always a great surprise!
So much to learn from this app and has everything you need to harmonize yourself with crystals. Will be telling everyone to get this.
This app is so useful and I use it every time I find new crystals.
Very helpful for beginners or collectors who forget crystal names. The accuracy is quite impressive, and the app's extras, such as chakras used on is added bonus!
I use this app to understand the healing qualities of my crystals to I can use them to their fullest potential.
Suggestion to allow users to add crystals with photos/descriptions that are not offered in the app.
This app is great to identify crystals that you have in your house to get positive energy and negative energy out
Awesome app. Just wish that when the scanner can't identify the crystal correctly that you could possibly manually put in a crystal.
Really good I just wish there wasn’t a subscription thing
It can be a bit confusing In the info part, but overall it is a very good, useful, and educational app!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This app helps me find out many crystals, very helpful!!
Wish it didn’t cost I would love to stay up on new crystals and ways of cleansing my energy
Good great job You did great work in this drop show you are doing great job in fact you
Unlimited ID is awesome and so far they have all been correct!
I love this app! I’m not very good at remembering things so this helps a lot with pretty much everything.
I just stared using this app, and I am already very happy with it! Very accurate!!
It’s a very good app and it can usually detect crystals/tell u real from fake but, sometimes if you don’t have the right lighting, it can misinterpret it for a different crystal. ex: i scanned my rose quartz (i know it’s a rose quartz) and it’s on the lighter/cloudier side so when i scanned it without the proper lighting it said it was a white quartz
User friendly! Love this app!
Ok I’m a picky person but I’m like nine yrs old but my dad let me get it and I love it! So for the review I give it 5/5
I’m amazed how good it is to take the picture and get the crystal recognized. Unbelievable!!! It’s good that I have many crystals bought over the years that I can’t recall what type they are. Thank you for offering it! Gratitude always. Veronica
Very informative as long as your camera is in good focus
Your app is giving me a great deal of info in my stones. Also how to gently clean and charge! Thank you!
This app is awesome! It has helped me identify and also confirm various crystals and gemstones, and their healing properties! I absolutely love it and if you are newish to crystals, this app is a must have! I’m grateful that you have a free option! Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
I love this app!! It’s so helpful and cute too🩷
I love this
Healing Pal:Crystal Identifier Negative Reviews and Ratings
I’m just getting started on my crystal journey but have found this app nice for tracking my growing collection. What I don’t love is the photo of my crystals isn’t editable. For best clarity you have to be too far away from the stone/crystal and they don’t show well in my collection gallery. Also would love to be able to capture an image of the details for each crystal I buy in an image vs having to type my own notes. Last there are several crystals I have purchased that are not recognized or available. For instance, I have a golden healer quartz and am unable to identify and add to my collection even as simply quartz as it’s not available in the catalog of the app nor is quartz as a general category.
I got two different results for the same object, which is made of hematite, and both were inaccurate. The app first said it was aegerine, which is nowhere near right. Then it said it was magnetite, the most magnetic mineral in nature. The object is not magnetic in the least. The third result was magnetite again. All photos were taken in three different types of lighting on two different backgrounds. I had high hopes for this app, but I can’t even adjust lighting or conditions to rephotograph the object in hopes it would finally hit accurately because it’s limited to three tries per day. I’ve seen the developers’ replies to other reviewers suggesting the reviewers were simply wrong about their own gemstones, but the app is simply not accurate.
The app is fine, however I went through the right channel for the 7 day free trial… I was confused when the app still said “you haven’t claimed your 7 day free trial” despite me actively using the full version of the app. Turns out the “free trial” never happened and the app charged me the $36 yearly fee, and charged me days before the free trial would’ve ended anyway. Super annoying but I guess I have a year’s worth of the app now.
Cool concept but it’s not accurate at all. I tested it out on crystals I purposely bought knowing what they were, it said my moonstone was some other crystal I’ve never heard of before and it didn’t even look the same. Said my jade was aquamarine and my Smokey quartz was some weird crystal. I didn’t even have this 5 minutes. Wish it was accurate because this is a really cool idea if you forget what crystals you bought. I have a TON! Thanks anyways.
Okay, I get that the database is limited, but I wish that when I identified that your scan was incorrect, and I go to update it, the app wouldn’t just say “umm okay, nope!” And not change it to my note. Other than you have a very limited database at the moment, the app serves for basic cataloging purposes.
Okay well i have a large collection of crystals and stones and i scanned over 60 and this app was completely wrong move half the time calling my stones all diamonds a black onyx was called a diamond and so was a red jasper stone how? I have no idea then i rescanned them in different lighting and the app was wrong each time.
I’ve had this app before and it worked pretty well, I just redownloaded it and it won’t identify a single rock I take a picture of. I’ve tried it in multiple rooms with different lighting, I’ve tried different angles and backgrounds, and yes none of them are blurry. Yet it always says there’s a problem and it can’t identify any crystal I try.
I’ve been logging my crystals on paper for a long time so I know what all I have. It mididentified easy crystals such as Bismuth and Selenite. When I rescanned I was given a different result every time. I don’t recommend this app to recognize your crystals. You can get more accurate results with Google search.
I don’t think the crystal identifier is accurate. I buy my crystals from a reputable source and are clearly labeled. Most of the time I think the app is wrong. I like the other aspects of the app though.
I tried the 7 day trial and removed it after using it for an hour!! Anything purple was identified as amethyst, it was lepidolite, 3 separate pieces! White ivory and selenite were identified as moonstone. I get my crystals from reputable dealers, so I know what they are. I had hoped this app would help me identify some items I couldn’t identify or remember, but it clearly couldn’t identify simple ceyatals.
I thought I liked this app but the app isn’t always accurate, also it shows how to charge and cleanse them and the one it did recognize that was right (Malachite) it told me to put it under water for 2 minutes if you aren’t aware MALACHITE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND TOXIC IF YOU PIT IT IN WATER IT HAS COPPER PROPERTIES WHICH CAN MAKE YOU REALLY SICK IF YOU GET IT WET! So beware!!!
I used to love this app and purchased mainly for the crystal identifier portion. All the other aspects were an added bonus! However it has suddenly stopped recognizing ANY crystals even ones I previously took pics of and received correct results. :(
So here’s the thing, I have a HUGE collection of natural crystals and I’m a beginner at learning all of this. But, every time I try to find out what my crystal was it was completely wrong, and it was obvious wrong as well. every. single. time. Honestly, just don’t get it. It’s not worth it.
Couldn’t even give this app a chance because I could t get it to scam a single crystal. I spent two hours getting different types of pictures and none of them ever worked. Don’t waste your time.
It will get very simple stones correct, but nothing that is more rare or could possible be another stone. Does not allow for multiple options of the stone since some look like the other.
ACTUALLY I GIVE IT ZERO STARS!!! Rarely does it identify a crystal accurately. Despite talking with support and being told to adjust lighting, angle, move to a different location, it still is incorrect. For example I have an agate garnet which the store I bought from, a recognized and credible one, stated it was as agate garnet. I went to another store, they too said it was agate garnet. This app said it was Jasper. I tried every background, different positions, different angles and lighting, it still identified it as Jasper. All the other apps stated agate garnet. I tried to get a refund and was denied. So I paid $46.99 US plus taxes for a worthless piece of junk. When I requested a refund again, I was denied. So I have this useless app until Aug 3, 2025. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP AS ITS INACCURATE AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND.
Doesn’t tell crystals apart
I have a bunch of gems and crystals, ones in which I know exactly what they are and when I take a picture of them I don’t always get the same authentic match. Perhaps it’s technology, but that’s what this app is all about! It’s good, but not great, nor worth the money. I will not be re-subscribing.
I liked this app for a few days, the free version has some great features. However, now every time I open the app (using iPhone 13 mini) the first screen presented is the prompt to upgrade to the paid version and I cannot tap Cancel in the top right corner no matter how many times or ways I try. This makes it impossible for me to use the app. Please reposition the Cancel option or simply stop presenting this screen when the app is launched.
Do your own research on this one there are a few times I found out that is FALSE information for instance Azurite Malachite CANNOT GO IN WATER! I did my research on it and most articles say it CANNOT GO IN WATER! Now I have to go back in to my gemstone Information sheet that I have been making and make sure what I have is correct, if you don’t do this then you can do more harm to your gemstone and that wouldn’t be good at all. And they should also add what planets they are associated with along with the vibration numbers. The creators of this app should go back and do their personal research and look in books maybe some on the internet and make sure they have everything correct. Other than this it’s a pretty good app. If you want to do your own research I would look in books they have been around longer than the internet, if you do go for the internet then make sure you goto more pages to make sure it is the right info and contact the site and ask where they get their information from or read up on the web page where it says all about us.
It identified white calcite as clear quartz, opal and opalite as moonstone, and many other incorrect guesses. DO NOT get this app for identifying crystals, it is WRONG and you’ll end up using the wrong crystals for your intentions. it does have good information on the crystals though, so if you already know what your crystals are and if they real or not, this app will come in handy.
Identified an opal as a diamond, a sapphire eternity ring as a ruby. And a pink sapphire as a ruby. Does not detect real or fake because I put a real cheap cubic zirconia in there and it was a diamond.
