Dive Log is designed to work either as your primary SCUBA diving logbook application or in conjunction with compatible 3rd party desktop logbook applications. You can use Dive Log at the dive site or on the dive boat to capture the information about the site while it is fresh in your mind (or your dive guide's mind). You can even capture the GPS coordinates of the dive site using the built in location services of your iOS device. Details about your actual dive can be added immediately after your dive or at the après dive event and later be saved to your desktop computer. The dive buddy feature is fully integrated with Contacts on your iPhone or iPad, letting you capture information about your newest dive buddy or quickly add an existing buddy to a particular dive. The dive data and statistics features let you have an immediate answer the next time your dive guide asks how much weight you used on your last dive or have all the information you need about your dive history when you fill out that next dive waiver. Metric and Imperial values are supported for all appropriate logbook fields. You can easily enter values using the appropriate units for the situation and view them in your preferred measurement system. You can even explore detailed dive profiles from popular dive computers that you download with your desktop software and later upload to Dive Log on iPhone/iPad. Dive profile data can also be transferred directly from certain dive computers directly via Bluetooth or using a supported Bluetooth accessory and an associated in-app purchase.

On Windows, Diving Log 6.0 (www.divinglog.de) is fully integrated with Dive Log on iPhone/iPad and has built in synchronization. Diving Log 6.0 has extensive support for importing data from dive computers and other dive log applications.

On Mac OS X, logbook information can be imported to Dive Log on iPhone/iPad from a number of compatible applications using the free Dive Log Manager application available from More Mobile Software (www.moremobilesoftware.com/divelog-sync). DiveLogDT (available on the Mac App Store) can be used to directly import a number of dive computers and file formats and can synchronize with Dive Log on iOS.

Dive data can be directly downloaded on a Bluetooth LE (Bluetooth 4.0/5.0) compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from Bluetooth LE capable dive computers such as the Suunto EON Steel, Suunto EON Core, Suunto D5, Scubapro Galileo 2 (G2), Aladin Sport (Matrix), Aladin H (Matrix), G2 HUD, Aladin A1, Shearwater Teric, Peregrine, Petrel 2, Petrel 3, Perdix, Perdix AI, Perdix 2, NERD 2, Oceanic VTX, Pro Plus 4, Geo 4.0, VEO 4.0, Aeris A300CS, Aqualung i300C, i330R, i550C, i750TC, i770R, Apeks DSX, Sherwood Wisdom 4, Mares Genius and certain heinrichs weikamp OSTC computers as well as the DiveNav Inc. bluebuddy and Tech Buddy dive logger accessories. Supported Bluetooth LE accessories are available separately.

Mares Bluelink Pro is a Bluetooth LE accessory by Mares and available for purchase separately (www.mares.com). The Bluelink Pro allows you transfer dive data from certain Mares dive computers (Puck Pro, Smart, Smart Air, Quad and Quad Air) directly to Dive Log on your Bluetooth LE compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Dive Computer Buddy (aka DCbuddy) is a Bluetooth LE accessory by DiveNav Inc. (note that the DCbuddy itself is no longer available). The DCbuddy allows you transfer dive data from certain dive computers (including models from Suunto, Oceanic, Aqualung, Aeris, Sherwood, Tusa and Mares) directly to Dive Log on your Bluetooth LE compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Dive Log App Comments & Reviews

Dive Log Positive Reviews

Exactly what I was looking for! After trying out several applications on both iOS and PC, this is the one I use (along with Diving Log 6.0 on a Windows PC to capture my dive computer data). I love that I can start the log on my phone at the dive site in order to capture things like GPS location, info I want to remember, and a signature from a dive master or buddy, without having to manually enter any of the data that my computer automatically logs. Then, once I'm home, I download my computer to add the dive profile, temperatures, air consumption, etc. and merge the two sets of info together. The statistics are really fun. Want to know how many times you've dove at your favorite spot or with a certain buddy? How many hours you spent underwater last October? Your deepest / longest / coldest dive? How many dives one of your exposure suits survived? The statistics feature can not only answer these questions, but will also link to each of the associated dives. You can also use this app to keep track of all of your equipment, including pictures, serial numbers, warranty info, service schedules (with optional reminders), and it can track dive counts for each piece. It also stores certification info including images of C-cards. Love this app!.Version: 2.3

2 Thumbs UpI have used this app for years, primarily on my iPhone but also use it on my laptop to sync up with my dive computer for depth profile, times, temp, etc. I really love this app, it is so easy to use and you can put in whatever level of detail you want and leave the others blank. I update after almost every dive in 1-2 min so I never get behind. It really comes in handy when I am returning to a dive center and need to know what I was using for weight, who you dove with or the sites you liked best, my girlfriend runs a paper log and unless it’s <20-30 dives back she never has the info with her. Keep up the good work Greg, your a legend for keeping this app going..Version: 3.5.8

Super responsive developerI have tried a couple electronic log books and this is my favorite by far, though I have been manually logging my dives as my old computer didn’t support downloads. I recently bought a new computer (Aqualung i550C) and posted a note on the support forum asking if anyone had got Dive Log to work with it via Bluetooth download yet. The developer contacted me and within a couple days had a working beta of the software that supports my computer. Amazing! Thank you for a great product and top notch support..Version: 3.2.3

Great Dive Log App!!!For years I have tried different apps to log my dives and they all were too weak or too difficult to use. This app is the perfect balance for beginner divers to Tech divers. It is so easy to log dives on your phone then sync them to you laptop later at your hotel, home, or picnic table and add all the specific information that’s difficult to do at the dive site. I still use a traditional log book, but now I am able to have a digital backup and reference in the palm of my hands!.Version: 3.2.2

Simply the Best!I’m a bit of a technophile, and love sifting through data on my dives. I started using DiveLog in 2012. I’ve looked at other apps, and none compare. I’ve got 1500 dives logged now, use the desktop version on my Mac, and the standard app on my iPhone and iPad. Great features (custom dive site map, equipment service tracking, support for all the major dive computers), and even better support! This is the digital dive log you’ve been looking for!.Version: 3.5.8

Almost perfectAlmost every feature I could ask for and I’ve been researching and trying dive log apps for about a year. The developer is also very responsive and helpful. Very impressed. My one holdback in buying a certain dive computer was that their dive log app was very lacking so Dive Log’s ability to download from that DC helped make my decision easier..Version: 3.5.5

Hands down the best app with best support.I’ve now had this app on my phone and desktop for YEARS. I’ve tried others, but keep coming back to this one. The support is top notch (rarely needed) and always quick to respond. I love that I can record things on my phone or computer and synch then back them up in multiple locations. No danger of losing my log to a computer or phone failure..Version: 3.3.4

Great app all aroundI’ve been using this app for about a year now and it’s been helpful. The dive log is well suited to my type of dives - beginner to intermediate dives with air and nitrox blends. As well, the support team is top tier. This is something I cannot stress enough as they will always be there to help if you run into problems. Great app and great people running the app. Thanks y’all.Version: 3.5.5

Superb appI have been using this for a really long time. This is a great dive log app. The developer regularly updates it and adds additional dive computers to the options list. A rare gem that has continued support where so many before have blown away in the wind. This developer truly loves this app and has continued to support it for years and years..Version: 3.7.1

"AWESOME"This app is AWESOME. I have been logging my dives on this app for a few years now and it has been on point every single time. It's very user friendly and as detailed as you make it. Janice at the support team is just as AMAZING as the app. Very helpful with any issues that may occur. Which are not many. You definitely can not go wrong with this app..Version: 2.3

Amazing dive log appThis app is easy to use as it is intuitive in its design. Lots of features to allow you to add lots of information about a dice very easily. Using the template feature is great to add dives easily because you don’t have to add the same info over and over again for repetitive dives.Version: 3.2.5

A bit overwhelming for a recreational diverAs a recreational diver, I was looking for an easy way to log my dives and track bottom time, weights, max depth, and some other small notes. While this app does provide that functionality, it also includes many other details to the point where it gets overwhelming. Also, the app is very user input dominated so it takes a lot of effort to log a simple dive. Would have liked a more user friendly and intelligent suggestion way to add dives. Going back to a physical log for now, but appreciate the effort and think it could be great for divers who need to track every small detail of their dives. Would love to see a simpler version of the app for more causal recreational divers..Version: 3.2.4

First rate app and support!I have been using this app for years and it does a great job! On occasion when I have had a question the developers have been helpful and very responsive. I highly recommend this app!.Version: 3.5.3

Very good but more neededOverall a great effort, I’d recommend anyone get it. Improvements I’d like to see; A way of getting a dive organisation to “stamp” the logbook to certify my dives. Also cloud connectivity is patchy and confusing. I’d like it to seamlessly and automatically backup to the cloud to preserve my dives and to connect to a desktop divelog app. I want to open either logbook and have my dives appear..Version: 2.8.9

Excellent Dive LogI tried several apps. The is the only one I liked. This app syncs to my Suunto EON Core and pulls in all my dive data. I track all my equipment, certifications, dive locations, marine life, etc. I rated it 4 stars because I wish the user interface was a little more graphical / designed. However, the functionality of the app is 5 stars..Version: 3.2.4

Great AppThis is a great dive log! The only request is that you update the option to be able to upload directly from a Garmin Descent MK2i. I used to upload directly from my Teric but I now have a Descent..Version: 3.4

Amazing appThis developer had worked tireless to developing a software that works seamlessly on all of my devices ( iPad, Droid, and Windows). I can access my certification from my phone at the dive shop when I travel. I used it for years with my Sunnto Vyper and now with my new Shearwater Perdix AI..Version: 3.3.9

Complete, flexible, thorough Dive LogSynchronizing with DivelogDT on my Mac, versatile and —knock wood— bug free so far. I’ve only transcribed a fraction of my dives (need them validated), but I find this the best of 4 so far... no reason to swap out now. Customer service/support has been Johnny on-the-spot too..Version: 2.7.1

Great App, needs more computersI like this app. I could see it being a great app with a few improvements. First, add Genesis Centauri Computers. Second, have a national database dive shops rather than having people input the. Third, have the major companies equipment added to choose from rather than having people input them in..Version: 3.3.4

Best Electronic LogI have used this app to log hundreds of dives over the past several years. It syncs easily to my desktop and makes all the important info easily available..Version: 2.7

Wish it was a little easier to useGreat app, but it could be more intuitive. So many options are overwhelming but could be made easier--why is dive suit not under equipment? Also, I need the ability to sync with Google Drive..Version: 3.2.4

Best Logbook AppBy far the best logbook app out there. I have tried several with much frustration. This app is perfect. It integrates seamlessly with my G2 computer. Stop looking for the perfect dive log app, you found it. Now buy it and enjoy your diving..Version: 3.3.5

Great AppI’ve been using Dive Log for the last year. It is just an awesome app. I have a Perdix dive computer and it works perfectly with the app. I highly recommend..Version: 3.5.3

Perfect for beginners and pro divers alikeOffers a very large range of features. I tried a lot of apps and still keep an eye on the competitors and this is by far the best. I’ve been using it for years..Version: 3.1.1

Excellent job! This app has made a lot of improvements over the years. Excellent job! I know really enjoy using it!.Version: 3.4

My Favorite AppAbsolutely LOVE this app! I like the fact I can view my stats and easily find past dives at specific sites. Just a well designed app with zero failures, this far.Version: 3.4

Excellent App!Does what it says it does, and does it well. Updated regularly with bug fixes and feature updates. Keep up the good work!.Version: 3.2.2

Apple Watch Ultra?Would be great if you add support for Apple Watch Ultra! Its always a great app and this could make it even better!.Version: 3.5.10

Good, could be betterThis app provides everything you would want in a log book, but could be better in terms of UI flow to make the functionality a bit more intuitive..Version: 3.2.13

Great diving log AppCovers all the bits in a Diving log that I want. Fairly easy to sync with Diving log 6.0 on my pc. Would like to see a better search query on here - like how many dives have I made over 100 ft etc..Version: 2.5

Apple Health IntegrationGreat App with regular cadence of updates with new features. Would love an Apple Health Integration so I can log the exercise, and heart rate.Version: 3.5.6

The best dive log appIt's the really best diving app. It has everything you may need and much more on top of that! You'll love it!.Version: 3.2.3

Finally - simple and compleBeen keeping dive logs for decades and finally have a simple and save archive of my records, equipment and logs in one place with a cloud backup..Version: 3.2.2

Awesome and Flexible Dive AppGreat app with a lot of flexible features. Had to ask support a question and got a fast and helpful response..Version: 3.2.13

Great appI would like to sort dives by Last > First.Version: 3.5.6

Fantastic software for divers (and Diving Log users)As a user of Diving Log already, I downloaded this with much excitement since I've been wanting a way to view my dives on my iPhone. I sync my iPhone via iTunes on my Mac, but run Diving Log using VMWare Fusion on Windows XP. I had absolutely 0 problems syncing the dives from Diving Log to my iPhone since I could do it over WiFi. The software contains pretty much all the features I like when I view my dives in Diving Log, save a few. I've already emailed the developer, but I'd like to see when I'm using Nitrox, photos, and a more fleshed out statistics section. The ability to step through your diving profile for any dive is something I love in Diving Log, and I was pleased to see it here. I really like this software, and it's obvious the developer spent a lot of time setting it up..Version: 0

Great app for active divers and dive professionalsThis app has proven to be a great resource from both a personal and professional (Instructor Trainer) standpoint. The ability of fill out my log as soon as the dive is over, including GPS coordinates of the dive site is a great help. In addition, the most recent update added in the ability for your buddy to "sign" your log, thus creating a log book that is accepted by dive operations (a great feature for those of us who prefer electronic dive logs!). I have yet to have any problems with the app, but the developer has been quick to answer any questions I have and listens to suggestions for future updates. Great app and I highly recommend it to any diver!.Version: 0

Great dive logging solution. Better than more expensive competitionExcellent dive log. Allows great flexibility in creating logs, capturing signatures, documenting dives sites, storing images of dives, documenting countries, islands, etc that you have visited. Has a great section for managing your gear in which you can track serial numbers, service dates, and even get reminders on upcoming service. Has good sync support to desktop solutions and ability to merge dive computer info to logs. Unlike what another review said, on the PC i've found you can do this with the unregistered (free) version of Dive Log 5.0. You're just limited to doing 10 dives at a time. Unfortunately I made the mistake of purchasing a different dive log app for the iPad at twice the price that, while it had a nice Nitrox calculator, as far as logging and tracking your dives and equipment was concerned, did not even come close to this. I've put in a few requests for additional functionality in a future release of dive log (such as printing via AirPrint) and the developer responded within 15 minutes. Great program that is well worth the money..Version: 1.7

Excellent!Fantastic app for those that want an electronic dive log! I love the fact that it shows a map with dive flags where I have been and lets me include pictures of the dive site. It integrates very well with Oceanlog - so I can just import the information from my dive computer and have my profiles available whenever I want to see them - which comes up more often than you would expect when you have the ability to do it! I also like the fact that I can update information on either the phone or my PC and simply sync over wifi to make the logs "match." Excellent app!.Version: 1.6

Great App already, even better supportSuch a great app to use, between all the ways to track and group dives, gear, activities, locations, it's incredibly useful. Great UI and functionality. What drove this app for great to awesome is the level of support and pride the developers show in their work. I had a minor inconvenient issue that was addressed quickly and the follow up was unbelievable. There might be free apps that does a few of the things this app does, but for the price and service, it's well worth the asking price. I only see this app getting better. Well done, and I am a very satisfied customer. Nothing in the app store comes close..Version: 1.7.6

Best Dive Log EVER!!!THIS is the Dive Log app to own. It is the be all, end all of dive log apps. You can store any info about your dive that you can imagine. You can link your contacts as your dive buddies, store dive sites, shops, statistics about your dives, view your dive sites on a maps... you name it, this will do it. Contrary to what the other reviewer wrote, it easily syncs with the Dive Log software program on either your phone or iPad. I assure you; it is very, very user-friendly. You can access and input any information about your dive from one screen. Accessing the other information is only one menu away at any time. No, it won't download from your dive computer to your phone or iPad; but anyone, like the other reviewer, who expects this ought to be slapped upside the head for sheer stupidity. You can get the most of it by owning the Dive Log software for your computer, but it functions well as a stand-alone app on your phone or iPad..Version: 1.8.3

Great App for iPod. You'll want to buy the desktop version too!App is great, handy and super easy to sync with desktop version. I bought the desktop version, then had to have this. Download dives from most any dive computer into desktop version then sync with iPod version or enter dives on iPod and sync to desktop. Doesn't get any easier. Awesome to have all my dives and the ability to add dives at dive site. Support is second to none. Wrote email last night got a reply this morning (the guy is in Germany, don't worry his English is great). Well worth the money. One of the only apps I've purchased. No regrets!!.Version: 0

Stable, a few issues thoughGood timing as I am leaving for Grand Cayman tomorrow! The new iPad enhanced retina support is really noticeable. The text is much clearer (to my ever aging eyes). I can't seem to edit the default logbook name, however. Not sure if the previous version had the same issue, but I started adding dives and just noticed that everything is under "Unknown Name." It would be nice to either change that name or have the ability to transfer dives between logbooks (assuming I have to create a new one with my name.) There is standard Apple icon in the app that suggests the ability to share dives, but it appears to only be tied to Twitter. I have seen that icon in other apps tied to both email and SMS communication as well. Finally, I would like to suggest the capacity to add photos to individual dives. This will be my third trip to Cayman and the ability to see (as opposed to only read in my notes) the changes on dive sites or the shape of the reefs over time would be nice..Version: 1.7.3

Great App - Fantastic DeveloperI love Dive Log! It is very handy to be able to access and log dives with my iPhone on the spot. Coupled with "Diving Log" and being able to sync with your PC, Dive Log becomes even more powerful! The developer is fantastic to deal with! I had a relatively small issue I was encountering and I got a response within hours, solution within a day and a new version of the software was uploaded in barely more than 24 hours! More Mobile Software and Dive Log have me as a lifelong customer!.Version: 0

I love this app but needs a few tweaks. This is a fantastic app for logging dives. It has all of the fields that are required to properly track all types of dives and has a few extras that really simplify things. A few tweaks would be nice such as the locations. They are not really relational in that city and state for a site are not connected. But if I could only get one fix it would be the sync process. It would be nice if the app synced to iCloud using live data. Right now the sync between the Mac app and my mobile devices is a bit clunky. If they never fix this I'll still be happy with the app..Version: 2.2

Best Dive Log for mobileI’ve tried many, this one is awesome. My only complaints: -There’s a serious need to have an ability to set up favorite tanks, so you don’t have to enter capacity, material, working pressure every time. -it would be nice to be able to review all the data contained in the dive computer dive log (PPO2 for example),the desktop version does it, and it’s useful. -the statistics function is great, it would be even better if you could apply multiple filters. I really like the fact that it downloads from my petrel, and that it has an iOS sync capability. Also like the ability to track pretty much every detail and the statistics function is useful even in its current form..Version: 2.3

Awsome Dive Log App !!!I really love this app !!! Works awsome with my perdix ! There are so many options !!!.Version: 3.3.3

Really goodI’ve used this app for a few versions and years now. It keeps getting better and I feel the developer really stands behind it. We use it to log all our dives, it’s great to have everything simply within the app. I have not imported logs directly from my computer as I lack the cable. The out of box app settings are great and it has all the features I’d ever care to have plus several I keep discovering. Very worthwhile download for a diver..Version: 3.2.13

Amélioration à faireC'est très bien, si on veut continuer à améliorer, il devrait avoir possibilité d'ajouter plus photos, video maps cave etc..., bref plus de remarques sur un site de plonger, cave etc....Version: 2.7

Great app, but needs tank defaults and a matching desktop appIt'd be nice if we were able to define defaults for tank size and pressure. I've dived Al80s (3000 psi), Steel 100s (3442 psi) and twin steel 130s (3442 psi). I'd rather select from a list of three options instead of having to separately select tank material, size and max operating pressure for each logged dive. I was only able to import less than a quarter of my total dives, a matching desktop app would certainly make it easier to get the rest of my dives onto my iPhone..Version: 0

Fantastic!!!I was a little skeptical about downloading this app at first due to price but I AM GLAD I DID, worth every penny! I'm a dive instructor and have been diving for over 25 years, many of them with dive computers (pretty much since dive computers came out) and was typically using the manufacture software, now I use this program with log book 5.0 all the time! This program connects to most computers, is super easy to use and has a lot of details not even found on the computer manufacture software! It's a great tool to take with you, share with friends and even has a signature area for your buddy to sign. Highly recommend, great program....Version: 1.7.1

Great ProgramEasy to use. Fun to use. Can add lots of divers. Sync with a MacBook or a desktop. When your Mac has the free or paid version. Missing is the programming for Nitrogen levels from dive tables. When you add times, depths and surface intervals, the program(APP) should be able to calculate the Nitrogen levels. Plus give warnings. Five stars if the missing programming is added..Version: 2.0.1

Great app. Great DevelopersI was excited to finally find a dive log application! It works great and from the developer's quick response to questions it is obvious that this application will keep getting better as more divers use it..Version: 0

Very pleased !!Works great. I was waiting for a log for my phone. Everything works fine and is very easy to use..Version: 0

Great addition to PC softwareEasy to sync and lets you take your log book everywhere. I love it!.Version: 0

Simply the bestAs a diving instructor, and a regular dive traveller, I place a lot of reliance on keeping a detailed log. Over the years, I've tried several, including the ones offered by dive computer manufacturers. Dive Log is superior to any I've encountered and it has the additional, significant benefit of accommodating practically every make of dive computer. Not only that, but it usually displays the available data generated more effectively and helpfully. The other huge plus for this app is the outstanding customer service from the parent company. Their team really goes the extra mile to meet the diver's needs and address any concerns..Version: 2.2.8

Great app, great supportThis app is a perfect dive companion. I no longer keep a paper log. Works well with MAC and always has. When i had trouble syncing when i was new to the app, the support was excellent and fast..Version: 2.1.2

AmazingThis log is the only one you'll need. Well worth the money! Waiting patiently for the Bluetooth attachment for my Wisdom 2 DC for full dive profiles. Wish this app was available sooner but the template copy function enables previous dive logging and makes it very simple. Highly recommend, you will not regret it! ***Updated DC Dive Buddy has arrived and EXCEEDED expectations! Thank you for the great app..Version: 2.1

Outstanding Product & Customer ServiceOutstanding support from Dive Log 5.0 and Sven. Sven was able to enable support for a new Liquivision Lynx dive computer within 2 hours of receiving my request. Subsequent bugs were tested and fixed within 24 hours. Would recommend EVERYBODY switch to Dive Log 5.0!.Version: 1.7.9

Excellent AppI love this App. The only glitch I have is that even though I have switched the settings to PSI and feet, they don't save that way. I would also like to see it calculate pressure groups automatically. Otherwise excellent job!.Version: 1.7.9

Super appSuper app very useful and super easy to use great system to sync between different device like iPad Mac and iPhone, maybe it could be grate to have access to near dive site Thank.Version: 1.7.6

Good logI too would like to see tank selector and I would like go back it up to iCloud or my iPad or s desktop app. Other than that great app..Version: 1.7.5

Great dive logThis is the best electronic dive log I have found. Very easy to use and can be combined with desktop erosion (at extra charge). I have both and am very happy with how it works..Version: 1.7.2

Super applicationRien a dire contre cette application. 12$ est peut-être chèr pour certain mais a long terme sa vaut la peine. Facile a utiliser. just loving it.Version: 1.6

Wonderful applicationI love that I can sync this with Dive Log on the PC. That application will download from just about any dive computer including my Liquivision!.Version: 1.5
