The SIFerry app gives you the estimated walking, biking, or driving time and distance to the ferry terminal so you can easily figure out when to leave to make the next boat!
The SIFerry app will show the timetable and countdown even without internet connection so you can check the ferry schedule on an iPod Touch or in areas without cellular coverage (like the subway).
Easily keep track of the countdown and ETA to the nearest terminal using the today widget.
The SIFerry app automatically displays the appropriate weekday, weekend, or holiday schedule.
Use the sharing feature to let your friends and family know what ferry you are on and what time your boat will dock. Just tap the line in the schedule for the ferry you are taking and select message, mail,

Best for the jobI’ve had this app for years, but just had to give a recommendation for someone else. If you’re taking the Staten Island Ferry, this app is the best choice. It gives the full schedule, the next ferry, knows what side you’re on, and will even give you a walking route if you’re lost. With that, it can tell you what ferry you’ll make, when you’re far away. Good for a Quick CheckThe next ferry pops up as soon as you open this app. It is not complicated and is not perfect for planning but that is not why I would use this app. If you commute on the Staten Island Ferry on a regular basis, get this app..Version: 2.1
Staten Island FerryWorks exactly as promised. Extremely clean UI, with nice large type, directionals, no nonsense approach. All functionality and so-far bulletproof. Previously when I was on my train commute to the Ferry, I would constantly be checking to see if I was going to make a certain boat, now after I select the Ferry I want the app tells me how much time I have to get there. Choosing Whitehall or St George departures is a single button and another interface is provided for the out-of-sequence Sat-Sun-and-one-Monday-boat schedule. Automated time saver: I would usually write to my family or call them to say which boat I would be on. Now I just use the email or SMS feature to send my selected boat ahead to whomever I choose. One ask: on the email push, it would be nice if it were HTML with a small illustration of the Ferry as a header....Version: 0
Extremely UsefulI don't go into the city extremely often, (maybe twice a month), but this app is extremely useful for when I do. I recommend it to all my friends. It works just as expected .Version: 0
