Works wellComing back to the gym after years away I was I introduced to the whole Tabata thing. I needed an app to help manage the time and picked this one based on the 5-star rating. I like it. The DJ feature is nice but appears limited to Apple Music rather than other streaming accounts. I end up just playing music in a different app. All in all I like it, but I have a few suggestions (their feedback page is “temporarily unavailable”): 1. Make the button for stopping a workout a slider like the power off confirmation on the iPhone. It’s really easy to accidentally hit the stop button and then you can’t get back into where you were in your Tabata cycle. For example, if I accidentally hit the button on cycle six of eight I can’t restart it. I think the slider control makes the most sense but even a confirm dialog would be helpful. 2. I chose this app because it also had an app for the watch. However, the watch app and the iPhone app are not in sync. In other words if I start a Tabata on the phone and then I open the app on the watch app on the watch knows nothing about the Tabata already in progress . The watch app, and the iPhone app should be in sync. 3. I’d like the option to cut the recovery time short if I don’t need it. At certain times during the work out where I don’t need the full recovery time and I’m waiting for recovery time to expire I’d like to have a button that skips to the last 10 seconds of recovery so I can speed things up..Version: 3.14.0

Was great now not workingI have had this app for a while and use it twice a week- latest release added great new features but crashes all time. I set for 3 Tabatas and each time it stops during recovery period after 1st one and I have to reset. Am running latest iOS on iPhone X. Now just use one Tabata at a time but that is not the point surely. Hoping for a new update to address this. Update : all working great again.Version: 3.12.7

Good but....I like everything about this app - except that it sometimes skips the rest period after a set. At first, I thought it was me; that I zoned out and missed the rest at the end of the set. But the last time I used it, I watched carefully and sure enough it went from “work” to “work” with no rest between. Also, I’m home doing workouts posted by my boot camp class and sometimes our coach breaks up a set with 2 exercises - for example, 1 minute set with one exercise for 40 seconds and the other for 20 seconds. There is no way to set the timer to account for this - which requires me to hold my phone or put it somewhere that I can see it which isn’t always practical depending upon the exercise..Version: 3.10.5

Different way to use the app.I don’t use the Tabata Pro the way most people do. I was trained by Fred Haan who wrote the book “the slowburn – the fitness revolution“. I was trained to use a metronome but I didn’t find that very helpful but by using the Tabata app working for a count of six or eight and then instead of resting I do the opposite movement either flexion or extension. It’s really great because I don’t have to concentrate on the number of repetitions that I’m doing and so I don’t lose count..Version: 3.8.4

Amazing!Honestly and seriously what an amazing app! U do not have to go to the gym! Close your bedroom door, get a kettle bell and work out on 1 Tabata doing kettlebells swings then wait one minute turn it back to one Tabata and do kettlebell snatches. This equals 10 minutes. In three weeks of doing this I will add 1 Tabata for swings and one for snatches which would equal 20 minutes of high intensity exercise. Then try to walk 1 mile to 3 a day and watch the weight drop!.Version: 3.10.3

Great App for TimersThis app is absolutely amazing for timers. Part of me wishes there was a way to do a lifetime subscription but the $10 a year that it cost is completely worth it. The only things that I would love to be added to the app would be the ability to name your timers rather than just having T1, T2, etc and the ability to have all devices sync via iCloud..Version: 3.14.4

Excellent assetThis has been an excellent tool for timing my workouts. This allows me to set my timing once without wasting effort resetting each increment. My friend put me onto the concept of Tabatas and I’d have to say I can squeeze in a great HIT workout into my busy day. Newest updateI’ve used this app for 3-4 years now. The latest update literally fix every issue I’ve ever had with the app (that wasn’t many). Added a recovery period along with the prepare period. After the last cycle instead of saying rest, it says tabata complete, and they added the work siren back. Best app ever. I have lost over 130 pounds, and this app (plus weight training)is every bit responsible for it..Version: 3.8.4

Excellent workout app which meets my needsThis adjustable app has some some great features. The music from my library can be played in the background, and the fact it has four time settings means I can preset my workout times and adjust my workouts according to the needs of the moment. Great app until they added an annual plan.This timer was perfect for me. I paid for the pro model, and couldn’t have been happier. The last three or four weeks, an “upgrade” button appeared on the app. It was later followed by a message to pay an annual fee for features I don’t need. This message appears every time I open the app or make changes. It’s annoying and I’m looking for alternatives. Too bad b/c otherwise it’s great..Version: 3.14.2

Great Quick Workout!!I do four minute sessions of Tabata and usually do anywhere from 3 to 5 sessions in a row. Tabata is a great way to get in shape because it only takes a few minutes and you can always mix up what you’re doing just as long as you’re getting your heart rate up!!.Version: 3.12.7

Great for AbsI use this for my abs and push ups workout so that I don't have to look at a clock. So helpful! Tabata Beast ModeI’ve been using this tabata app for years now. It’s great!! I run competitive masters track and field, and as a 60+ sprinter these 3 and 4 cycle, 8 tabata sessions have got me in world class shape without the beat on my legs that intervals on the track would have put me through. DJ option is awfulI like the timer and all of the customizable options. The DJ needs a lot of work. Even after trying all of the possible variations, it still plays the same song, from the same spot, every cycle. I’ve had to start using two devices. One for timing and one for music. Love the new featuresI'm in a 28 day workout group and this Tabata clock is perfect! Workout 1 has seven lower body exercises at 20 seconds each with a 30 sec circuit break. Needs updateGreat app until now. For some reason on the iPhone X the app locks up. When you start the Tabata it’s smooth but if you end it then try to start it up again too quick it freezes for a few seconds and then starts. On my 6s it never did this. Watch counters don’t keep pace…On the watch app: Counters for cycles don’t keep pace… so have to keep track in your head. Also, the timer does not count down properly, and gets stuck on a single number..Version: 3.14.0

The best!!! A couple additions though....Simple. Accurate. Tabata perfection. It does what it says without the annoying sounds like other timers.
