Best Auto Insurance Company EVER!Throughout my experience with various insurance companies, I have been a dedicated AAA member for many years. However, I must say that Progressive stands out as a true leader in the industry. One of the most impressive aspects of Progressive is their exceptional customer service. Whenever I've needed assistance, I’ve found that my calls are answered promptly, eliminating any frustrating hold times. App great but has become a painI feel that two step verification is a pain and is outdated. Both your email and phone number can be leaked and compromised. The app doesn't even give you the option to opt out or to change methods without calling them speaking to one person then being change to another person. Who going to steal your car insurance??? I feel like it a pain for those who have a hard time with keeping their phones in service. But in order to change the method you got to call progressive doesn't give you the option in app or on the website. If you can afford your internet. You can't access your email without having internet or WiFi. Please find a way to make it more then just email or cell phone as both method can be hacked. Offer the ability to opt out. Because it a nuisance to have to verify on the same device everytime I login to the app. Even with password and Face ID I still need to verify. I haven't upgraded the phone in about 10 yrs. Yet daily I am needing to verify my identity. Why not work out the kinks before putting the two step verification out. This is healthcare or your credit card. It car insurance. The app is great but having to two step verification every single time I open the app is a pain please do something about it. Really need to have an option for trusted devices. Easy/Simple!I’m not sure what more one could ask for! The app affords me the access I need to look into my policies; the UI is straightforward, with Auto and Marine separates into two separate tabs (and I’d guess other forms would also be handled as such— like Home, etc.). Electronic ID cards (as well as printer-friendly ones) are accessible with merely a thumbprint unlock and one click. Everything is literally right there and easy to navigate. • the one difficulty I’ve experienced has been in cases where I needed to change my policy (e.g., sold a vehicle and needed to remove coverage while also considering a slight change in coverage/deductible as well). In that case, as well as the last time I purchased a new vehicle, I was not able to follow through with the necessary processes 100% to completion via the app alone. Ultimately, logging in via web browser and eventually speaking with someone over the phone was a necessity. Granted, there are many loopholes for fraud when dealing with the aforementioned changes in policy, so I’m understanding on that. Great and Easy to useI got Progressive to go with my first car I bought the other day and I love it especially for an Apple user I can have my card on my Apple wallet, easy working the app and the explain everything in much better ways to make sure I understand anything I click or agree to, they help show me in detail using the snapshot via mobile app how to not only watch my driving but ways to remind myself to continue being a safe driver, I appreciate the access to be able to lower my rate as well especially in a time where we watch our money carefully who wouldn’t want the opportunity to save some money just for being safe as well all should be on the road. If you use Apple products like iPhone and Apple Watches you can easily access your Insurance ID card with the click of a button using the Apple wallet feature. Would fully recommend this to anyone and especially new drivers it’s easy to use with the benefits to lower your rate. Plus signing up was perfect and very quick and I have full coverage on my vehicle with a very fair rate..Version: 3.108

Easy as 123I have been with Progressive for a year and felt I was paying too much. I shopped my rates online and of course Progressive came out on top. I didn’t think I would be able to get a quote, much less a new policy, since I was already insured with them. I tried anyway; I saved a little over $100/month and I added a car to the policy. It was super easy. I picked the same coverages I had and added the extras such as roadside assistance, rental reimbursement, etc…, signed up for paperless and EFT then chose Apple Pay and I purchased the new policy. I called and spoke with a representative and they helped with cancelling my current policy which will be pro-rated. Not only did I save a lot of money, Progressive makes purchasing a policy as easy as 123. It took less than 10 minutes from beginning to end. As long as you have all of your vehicle information and banking information within reach, it’s super easy. Plus, I love that I was able to quote with them again and save money while keeping such great coverage!.Version: 3.96

App makes it easySo, the app definitely makes everything easier. I think we live in a world now where we prefer to have the least amount of communication as possible …with anyone; over the phone, lol! Texting is most preferred & you can easily get on a chat with someone. Pay your bill, change your plan, change your info, it’s endless. Been with Progressive 4 years now and truthfully I pay the least amount with them then I would have paid with other companies. I like the app. I love the option of paying out 6 months or 3 or 2 or just 1. Paying 6 months saves over $200 & if you have the money at the time..it’s worth it. I used to do that, but unfortunately due to health issues..I had to step away from my employment, so..paying once a month is my only option…but tis life, is it not? Bad ExperienceI was recently involved in an accident and thought Progressive would be on my side. I was very disappointed in the whole experience. The representative, Josh was disappointing. I have never been in an accident that I didn’t take it to a repair shop and get an estimate on fixing it. I was not given the opportunity to do that with this one! Progressive came and towed my car away a day and a half later and that was the last time I saw my car! Supposedly it was taken to an Inspection Station of Progressive in Charlotte, where they determined it to be a total loss. My car could have been repaired and saved at a repair shop that I know. That leaves me without a vehicle to drive and still have payments to the finance company , when it could have been repaired. Also, I had to drive round trip 3 hours to sign papers that were too complicated to send by email or Fed ex and got there, signed my name twice on an odometer reading paper and that was all there was to it! I was so angry at how things were handled, I won’t be using them anymore. Josh needs to be held accountable for all the trouble he put me through. Never again!!!.Version: 3.129

StupidEvery 6 months my auto policy renews, and I pay it in full. If I don’t pay it right away, I get weekly reminders, which are annoying. I thought I scheduled a payment to occur later in the month, in order to stop these weekly reminders. It did, but when I looked neither the app nor the main website had any record of it and apparently the app set me up for monthly payments. I’ve never signed up for automatic payments because I want to pay on MY schedule, not theirs. I’m still not set up for auto payments, but the app refuses to acknowledge that I owe anything (because its not due until months end), it only states I’m paid up. I don’t want to lose coverage by waiting until the due date, I want to pay it before then. The only place it does acknowledge that I will owe is on the payment screen…which is stupid. It mentions when I paid, that any scheduled payments will still occur unless cancelled. Now comes the waiting game to see if the payment I thought I scheduled 3 weeks ago actually occurs or whether it was cancelled by the system, which would explain why the system has no record of it..Version: 3.105

Simplicity of insurance at your fingertipsFirst it started off for me hunting for new insurance. I started checking with insurance agencies that do well with wrecked vehicles quickly for their clients on our tow lot. So I visited 4 companies. 2 years in a row progressive has out beat every competitor of theirs in my area. Then the app is simple and easy to use. Even my not so tech savvy husband can easily navigate the app. Then another pro As well is customer support. It is easy to deal with. If I make a change I don’t end up having to make a million more phone calls to correct the original change I made or create a bigger issue. This was an issue I had with a major competitor(Jake). I’ll continue to do my bi yearly shop around but as long as progressive is cheapest we will continue to use them as our insurance agents! & tbh unless the difference is drastic $20 or more a month than a competitor we will continue to choose progressive..Version: 3.92

Avoid snapshot at all costsI have actually had Progressive for many years & overall have had a good experience, but I recently got snapshot & it’s a complete scam. My policy has 5 drivers with a total of 1 moving violation & no claims over the last 10+ years. I signed up for snapshot because they offered a discount. The discount started going away a little each month because snapshot constantly quit working on 3 of our phones & wouldn’t collect the necessary information, with only 2 drivers getting full results. One of those drivers had no impact, but the other got a 1 of 5 star rating because of “hard braking” (no other negative feedback, just the hard braking). Because of that 1 driver out of 5 on the policy braking too hard an agent informed me that my policy was increasing & the results (they collected information with snapshot a total of 4 months) would affect my rate for several years to come. So, because of snapshot, I basically got a 2-month discount & now I get a higher rate for several years despite having a great driving record & no claims..Version: 3.113.1

Lots of Extra Features you wouldn’t know you haveI’ve had Progressive Insurance for about 2 years now, and honestly they’ve been nothing but great to me. Thankfully I haven’t had any accidents, so I can’t speak on the claims side of things, but overall the experience has been solid. I like that they offer way more than just auto insurance too. You can quote and manage stuff like tools, motorcycles, jewelry, renters/home insurance, and even phone protection all in one place. One feature I actually really like is the CarFax integration. You can manually upload and track your own service records directly through CarFax, which is awesome for keeping maintenance history organized and documented online. 2 years with them, no accidents, no issues, and they just lowered my rate too. For a 22 year old guy paying around $240/month, I honestly don’t think that’s terrible at all. Appreciate you guys at Progressive!.Version: 3.142

It alrightSo I’ve been using snapshot for well over a year now and I have not noticed a difference in my premium as in getting a discount as they say I am getting one, but you never know for sure. My biggest problem with the app is it does not know when you are using your hands-free device in your vehicle or if you’re actually using the phone itself. This app has dinged me several times while in my vehicle or answering the phone or being on the phone while using my Bluetooth device in the car.. It should not ding you on that, but it does. Nationwide app only ding you if you touched the screen on the phone. It is considered that being used but with Progressive if you answer a call over Bluetooth, you’re using your phone even if you don’t touch it. Would be nice for them to take that bug away and set it up where you have to physically touch the screen in order for it to Dania on phone usage.. Also, once you lose a star, you can never get it back FYI..Version: 3.111

Add push notifications for trip summariesI’ve been using the app for a while, and while I appreciate the Snapshot concept, there is a significant hurdle for those of us in households with shared vehicles. The biggest issue is the lack of real-time or end-of-trip notifications. Because the app often misidentifies the driver (frequently flagging her as the driver when I am behind the wheel and she’s using her phone), we have to manually remember to check the app after every trip to reclassify it. Without a notification to prompt us, it’s far too easy to forget until the trip is already finalized and our score is negatively impacted by 'phone usage' that wasn't ours. Please consider adding a simple 'Trip Summary' push notification option. Having a quick alert after a drive would allow me to immediately verify the trip and reclassify it as 'Passenger' if it doesn’t classify correctly. This one small feature would make the app infinitely more accurate and user-friendly for households that share a car. Thanks!.Version: 3.143

InsuranceThe only thing I don’t fully agree why does my rates increase with me not having any tickets or accidents and my policy is not as good as it should be it seems the offers are higher than other insurance companies. I also don’t understand that I only average about 10-20 miles per week for driving it’s seldom that I put 100 or 200 miles on my car in 6 months. I don’t drive too often only when it’s necessary for me to drive.I think I should get better rate rates on my quote. I paid only 104. Or 108 something can’t remember the exact cents charge on my premium the last year now I have to pay more it up instead of down where is my discount rates come into the rate? I thought the rate should go down each policy change from year to year. Quote me a better rate because I just need to know if you can get me an estimate affordable rates.. I'm not too fond of beuracruecyI get it. A system must protect car owners, pedestrians, car insurance agents, and motorists. Ironically, I've been on the side of an agent whose job was to dry hump prospective clients' legs so that they will sign up with my company so that I can earn a commission and they receive good coverage. However, money spent on coverage can be overrated (meaning life is not a one-size-fits-all). As an agent, I knew that. On the other hand, I owned a valuable car, but working in Beverly Hills, CA, for 11 years, I feared rear-ending a vehicle three to four times the cost of my car. Therefore, comprehensive insurance was a must. Having overcome my subjective opinions with statistical data on what I need vs. what I want, Progressive makes all the past experiences of the push and pull seem as if, ‘why was I feeling so disgruntled?’ Bottomline: -Affordable. -Optional. -Easy-to-navigate app -Despite being in a contractual agreement, options remain available (a huge plus!) without major pushback (that whole agent commission thing I mentioned). -No intrusive or abrasive tone (e.g., no pressure applied). -Fair and transparent (Ethics matter!) -Allows me to remain accountable. Hey, if I choose the bare-bone minimum, well, if in a bind, I choose. No one railroaded me. As consumers, we gamble and take risks. Therefore, those who are high-risk - should increase their car insurance liabilities. Otherwise, take advantage of the low rates!!!.Version: 3.106

85% of my favorite thingsThe app is amazing. Always works when I want it to. Shows me both of cards when my policy is close to renewing. Anything that I can’t do on the app it will link me to the website and keeps me logged in so I can get things done. They have all of my documents stored in one single place online so if I miss a mailing or delete an email I can still check it out. I gave it 5 stars and said its 85% is because I wish you could pull up the dec page and voi on the app and save it like the ID card. I love that I can see the status of my payments online and that I get a reminder a few days before it pulls the payment. Originally I could sign my docs online. I would like to be able to sign all docs online. Like when I make changes in the middle of the policy period. And for the auto they don’t let you lower you comp/coll online. It would be great if I could do it myself instead of having to call in. Otherwise it’s great..Version: 3.34.3

They can legally add anyone in your household as a driver of your vehicle**DON NOT USE PROGRESSIVE** I started a policy with progressive and had a great premium. Progressive called and asked if I owned or rented I told them that I was still living with my parents. Next month when my bill came out it was more than double my original premium. They have a guideline that allows them to add any and all members of your household as drivers of that vehicle even if you tell them that they do not drive your vehicle. I repeat DO NOT use progressive as your insurance provider. Once my at the end of the terms of my policy I will be canceling and leaving progressive. When I called and asked what the increase was for I was transferred 3 times and then put on hold for 45 minutes to be told that under there guidelines they have the right to add them and there is noting that I can do to be reimbursed for them being added to my policy..Version: 3.135.1

Excellent insurance AIS Natalie CannonI never realized how important it can be to have an agent. Natalie Cannon at AIS insurance company, saved us almost 300 dollars by switching from The General. An insurance agent will adjust and advise you on better options. For instance in our case, we had used The General for SR 22 insurance over 12 years ago, we had never thought to look into the higher rates we had. Wow what a difference. Also say; our insurance was about to lapse, your agent will give you a call letting you know it’s about to, or did lapse. If you are in Douglas, Carroll, Paulding, or surrounding counties, I suggest this agent and this insurance. It’s by far the BEST insurance to have. State Farm and Liberty Mutual, especially The General, have nothing on Progressive. The complete package with several bundle options! I’m A+ satisfied. I can’t say enough how much better it is though, and to have Natalie as my agent, I’m more than happy!.Version: 3.108

Changing star RateIt seems that it takes a few hours for the app to recognize the policies and passwords. After working off and on looking for returned emails I was successful in registering both policies in the app along with it recognizing my password without having to change it. Still only four stars because of the difficulty in setting everything up. Hopefully I will be able to change this review later. I just purchased two policies with Progressive. One for my RV and the other my auto. I was allowed one policy only and the app will not recognize the password that Apple gave. The app sends me to a web site that indicates an email will be sent but no email sent. I think the problem is multiple policies. If that is the case it needs to be updated immediately to accept multiple policies with Progressive if they want to be a player in this highly competitive insurance industry. Lowest I Could FindThe Progressive app for insurance at your fingertips is well-made and easy to use. I like to overall simplicity of navigating through the app, making easy payments as well as scheduling for automatic payments and also viewing my insurance cards and policies. Progressive was the only insurance I could find that gave me a lower rate than others even though I have not been in much accidents and I tend to be a good and decent driver, especially utilizing a car that has many safety features as well as safety driving practices. I had to imply a higher deductible rate in order to get the lowest possible insurance rate on a monthly basis which just means that I have to make sure I drive really good and avoid any possible accidents whether it’s self inflicted accident or from another driver, but nonetheless, I feel positive and secure with Progressive..Version: 3.112

Get the dates for your old insurance and call and cancel yourself, save $80I got a quote through the app and completed the process with an operator. It makes suggestions for your coverage but your able scroll around and see all of your options with the prices for comparison. The switch from my old to the new was not smooth though. They found my current insurance and told me when it expired, then I made my payment and my new policy began 8 days later to coincide with that date. The app and the operator offered to cancel my old policy for me, which sounded super convenient. 5 days later my old policy auto pays from my account, 10 days later they refund it partially and kept $80. I call Progressive to see if they had cancelled it for me and they tell me probably but it could take awhile and I should call myself also. Turns out there was a gap of 2 days ($40 a day) between my policies. Lesson learned, however they are seeing your insurance information is not 100% accurate..Version: 3.108

Easy to navigateSay to navigate, real time Transactions, account activity easy to understand and debits show on history right away, many useful features that a lot of other banks don’t have. A great mobile banking app is essential in todays world…. Plus they usually offer a bunch bus for opening an account… and the qualification to receive $300-$500 FREE MONEY!!!!…. All you have to do is have at least $500 of direct deposits within the first 90 days! If you have a job and direct deposit that shouldn’t be an issue! Search up 5/3 acct bonus. Most banks require hire amounts to be direct deposited… not 5/3 they only require a total within 90 days to be $509 or more PLUS They put the extra free cash $300-$400 into your account QUICK! App good insurrance badOkay, so why is it, that my insurance is so high, with no traffic vialations, no wrecks, driving for over 12 years, and have had insurance since? $125/mo is insane. It should be $80, or even less than that. I understood when I was under 26 years of age sure, you thought as that age of still less than adult. But being over that age usually, and I mean everyone I have talked to, said that you get a decrease because you are above that age if no reports or anything. Overpriced for the least used thing I pay for. I hate that the price went up last year because the accidents “in my area”. And as someone who looks at the accidents in my area, there were less than the year prior, so that is a load of bull. The app is smooth easy to use and works as intended.
