Great but…This is a very helpful app, I love that all my devices are already loaded in there and that all other compatible products default to each when browsing, saving me time and headache. I love the option to save lists, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Several times now I have made separate saved items lists only to find they’re completely gone when I return. How is it possible that the company that pioneered the use of the cloud doesn’t use the cloud to remember their customer’s saved items in their own app? Baffling. Other than that I love to see which third party products are featured in the app before I make my final decisions as in my opinion, having something that is endorsed by Apple gives me a little bit more peace of mind when making expensive tech purchases. Apple TV bait and switchI purchased two new Apple Products this year. Each one constantly sent notifications to use THE FREE APPLE TV APP. Seeing the ad the first time, I attempted to use the free year, but was only able to watch Apple TV once. It then disappeared, AND I never was able to reactivate it. After buying a new IPad, I wanted to try the Apple TV for sure, so I set it up.. I could never get it to work on my TV, so never used it at all. The problem, I inadvertently signed up for an App called AIR APPS PRO. This began charging my account $4.99 A WEEK! Since I occasionally make purchases, I didn’t pay much attention to this, but finally realized it was recurring weekly. I have spent an hour cancelling this, second attempt as the first one was not successful.. I finally called my bank and made a formal complaint. When I tried on the Apple end, I got the message there was no charges available to dispute, I called the phone number and the message said No representatives available, call could not be completed, and they sent a text to the dispute page. My bank easily credited these charges back, helped me ensure the subscription was cancelled and hopefully will send a message to Apple, but I doubt it. This is a pure scam, and I hope this helps just one person avoid even one weeks charge. I’ll skip Apple TV for now, delete the free year on principle, don’t use it anyway. After so long generations of phones, a person like me with BIG OCD, thought I had found the perfect phone that would long a lifetime until the day I didn’t need it anymore.
I had it all planned out: if my current phone stopped functioning goodly, I would go to the Apple store every 2 years with the coverage and buy a replacement or just buy a new iPhone 11 and so on.
One of the Apple specialists, Sam, told me Apple discontinued iPhone 11. You don’t understand how shocked, baffled, sad, (you name it,) I was when I learned of that. I’m not trying to exaggerate it, I really was. I was THAT sad.
If I wanted any other iPhones, I would’ve bought the newest release from apple, iPhone 14 or any other but THAT is not what I WANTED.
iPhone 11 fit perfectly (literally) on my hand so I loved the iPhone solely because of that reason. Thanks to Sam, the specialist, who told me there were other models with the same size as 11, I was immediately in relief. So now I’ll be medium-happily buying a 13 very soon!

Your ads are in the wayHi. The App Store have lots of fun games that we all pick through to play. The games we choose to play are fun. However the ads that stay at the top or bottom of the game are in the way of scores and sometimes where you have to click to play. I’m not understanding why they are there while we are playing when it’s so many ads after each time we play a turn. Also sometimes in the middle of a turn an ad will interupt the game. Can you guys please consider removing the rectangle ad at the top or bottom of the games while we are playing. Everyone can’t afford to go ad free. Needs an updateI love Apple and everything, but there needs to be a slight update when buying something. I bought my bsf a iMac computer, and she used my card. Hi! This isn’t a review about the app, but I will write it anyways.Apple products are amazing! I have had 3 iPhones so far since my first one 2 pairs of AirPods since my first pair, and 1 Apple Watch, and they all have worked amazingly and still work amazingly! I have no problems with Apple products! Messages send well, and they also send fast. The App Store has all songs, and if you’re like me and don’t like listening to the explicit versions of songs, they put an E beside of each song to warn you, and you can always put after the search of each song, clean. For example, “Air Force Ones by Nelly clean.” (I used that specific song because I know it’s not clean.) and you will find the clean versions! So, yes, they have clean versions! I feel this is the best device brand on the market. Also, safety is AMAZING! They ask for your Face ID, but if you can’t get it to detect your face, type in your 4-6 digit passcode! Also, misspelled words are auto corrected! Also, usernames and passwords are in settings, but require your face ID and passcode. Also, they update often! They really put effort into the devices they design and make. Also, AirPods are amazing, too! They charge in the case without plugging them in! (You must charge the case, though.) PRO TIP: Tap on the AirPod to change the song! Say you want to listen to the next song. Tap on the right AirPod. Say you want to listen to the most recent song. Tap on the left AirPod. Also, the emojis. They look amazing! And also, there are plenty to express your feelings! Also, THERE IS NO CONTACT LIMIT! NONE! Add as many as you want! Also, Siri has no limit, either! Siri will tell you jokes, roast you if you are in the mood for a roast battle, (They aren’t offensive, though!) compliment you, show you pictures of things, tell you the weather, call, FaceTime, and text people for you, tell you stories, give you writing ideas for if you want to write a book or something, open apps for you, play songs for you, give you directions to a destination, etc.! No Dark Mode Icon?I use this app often to browse and purchase Apple products. It works great. As of recent iPadOS 18 which introduced a better dark mode experience with specific dark mode icons, this app has yet to update from the stark white background when placed into dark mode. When you put the child safety settings onto any device, anything that is linked with an Apple login deletes. It’s erased, you can’t get it back, instead of blocking its use and erasing what’s under it entirely, you could add something that requires a parents approval to let you use an Apple login, or even any login to begin with.

App Store has an Update BugSince ios 18, the App Store is losing track of the updates. Upper right the account initials circle reflects how many app updates are available, and correctly counts down as each update is completed. But in the available updates section, as the updates are completing, the count down seems to skip a beat, so when they’re all done updating this number may still show a 1 or a 2 (upper right shows none). Updates, planned obsolescence and unmitigated greedThis review represents a “deal breaker” issue for anyone weary of the never ending expense vs building something to last. There are things about iPhones I love, which you can read about in other reviews. My issue is with “planned obsolescence/greed,” and Apple’s barely covert manipulation of consumers to buy new before we need to. In particular, by creating “bugs” inspiring us to buy a newer iPhone out of frustration, or requiring us to download “updates” to continue using out $1k phones and forcing us to agree to all terms and conditions in order to continue using our devices, many of which are NOT designed to protect us, but exploit us with invasive access to our devices and info…switching on items we’ve turned off that add to battery drain and use up memory for things many of us don’t use, and inclusions that border in sabotage…) to support the pattern of forcing us to buy the ever changing “newest and best” into infinity. The last updates specifically require you to agree to everything, and clearly state “if we don’t agree we can’t continue using (devices we already own)” or we can “return them ….subject to those “terms and conditions”…(meaning if you’ve owned them a while you agree or you’re screwed, and you agree to “arbitration” if you choose to exercise your legal rights …meaning they win)…so you’re literally agreeing to be screwed at the rate of (a 1k phone every year or two) if you buy an iPhone…and this is exactly why I won’t be buying another iPhone. The camera is also bad at night. I contacted support many times and they will not understand anything. They are very bad employees. In the store they are also bad in treatment.

Not about the store About their phones horrible performance and lifetimeI’ve been using my iPhone 13, which is in perfect physical condition, but I constantly face serious performance and storage issues that make the phone nearly unusable at times. My storage is supposedly always full, despite regularly cleaning out my phone and paying for iCloud. I literally cannot have apps beyond the pre-installed ones because adding anything else can cause my phone to crash.
These issues are not just inconvenient—they’re potentially dangerous. I often cannot text, FaceTime, or call reliably. My phone decides when it’s “okay” for me to send a message or make a call, and at times it simply won’t let me. Phone numbers, messages, and even entire apps disappear randomly. Apps crash constantly whenever I try to open them.
Apple might argue this is because I haven’t updated my phone or that it’s “old,” but the truth is, my phone literally cannot always update due to the low storage issue. Updates require more space than I can ever free up, no matter how much I delete. Sometimes an update will temporarily improve things for a few days, but the issues always return.
I’ve compared this with my boyfriend’s iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is also in perfect condition. He generally keeps his phone clean and updated, yet he still experiences occasional storage crashes and app issues, though not as frequently as mine. Even with newer models, these performance problems persist.
Frankly, there’s no reason I should have to replace my iPhone every year just because Apple’s devices start crashing after a certain time. Fraud theft extortion abuseApple stole from my credit Account multiple times. Then I refused to upload another card because they stole all of my money from my prepaid account with out my permission. January 8 I got a notice from my bank suspecting fraud. Apple contact my bank and asked for my credit card number which my bank gave them my credit card. Apple then proceed to take payments from my card without my permission or knowledge. I filed a fraud complaint again with my bank after the most recent theft. Apple continues to lock me out of my account t until I give them my credit card information. I’ve experienced severe distress because everytime I try to verify my account they pretend it’s not accurate and put me in a verification loop bye verifying me then allowing me to change my password which never changed by the way then saying it’s wrong and I need to wait another two weeks to try again. When they are really just trying to force me to submit my credit card against my will in order to unlock my account. They have ruined my social media by blocking me from using them by putting restrictions on my account saying they will let me in if I give them my card number. I’m extremely distressed and feel like I’m being bullied and harrrassed and forced to do something against my will. The rep who it was very hard to get to said they can do as they please because they have a contract which protects them. I kinda like this update a little...but I kinda really don’t...What has upset me the most about this recent update is that they got rid of the wishlist option in the appstore. I really liked this option and had placed a lot of apps there that would now take me forever to find again. Especially since I happened upon some of them by accident. I know that I can place my new “wishlist” in the Notes app, but the wishlist would automatically update itself once I purchased an app that was originally listed on there.
The next thing that has me irritated is there are no dates on the version history. This is important to me because I play a lot of games that run in a series (and are not numbered) and if I am to do things correctly and not guess, then I would like the exact date that the game was uploaded onto the appstore.
Now, for the things that I like:
1. The keyboard and how you don’t have to search for a lot of the buttons that you need, or you don’t have to use the shift button for numbers and the like.
2. The look and the feel is awesome! Everything looks so clean, I think that I had to wipe my drool off of my ipad just to make sure that everything still looked clean and I wasn’t losing my mind!
3. Placing more space on the “app bar” or the “task bar” where you are able to access the more recent apps, especially if I need to research something on the internet (like a walkthrough because I’m stuck), but I’m having a hard time with the old sliding app bar that used to be on the right side..AbrashoffsVersion: 4.3

It is unacceptable that your company may intentionally design your products to have a limited lifespan, with the intention of encouraging consumers to replace them with newer models. This practice not only frustrates consumers who have invested in your products, but it also harms the environment, as it contributes to e-waste.
As a consumer, I believe that I have a right to know how long my phone is expected to last, and that it should not suddenly stop working after a few years of use. I understand that components in electronic devices can degrade over time, but I believe that your company has a responsibility to design products that last for a reasonable amount of time, and to be transparent about their lifespan.

Trade In a JokeI purchased a new Macbook Pro in Oct 2021 & used my Mac Air as a trade in. The new one arrived in December, during a very busy work time so I didn’t fully set it up immediately. I attempted to prepare the Air for trade in but unlike a PC it requires a more involved reset to factory process. However, Apple’s instructions are very unclear & it would not perform the reset. I attempted several times after work each day. I tried calling for assistance but it was always late so Apple support was closed. Finally, I got through to someone and it took FOUR HOURS to reset. Since it took so long my trade in window passed so I had to call AGAIN because the email they send does not provide information on how to resubmit. A sales rep set it up again so I went to the link to do it only to learn Apple was deducting an additional $90 for it being late and only giving me a gift card. I found this unacceptable because how could it lose that much value not being used for a month? My Air is in MINT condition & not that old. I contacted Apple only to be greeted by a someone who has the WORST customer service disposition and refused to help me. I called back & got an extremely nice person who agreed with me & resubmitted the trade in at the original price (which by the way wasn’t a lot to begin with). I turned it in then got an email that Apple was still going to knock off the $90 because it was late. Really? I had to wait 6 weeks to get the Macbook Pro AND it took a few weeks to prep the Air due to Apple’s complicated reset procedure. Perhaps I should charge them for that? This is unfair and disrespectful to me as a customer, especially since they would refurbish it and sell it for a higher price. Worse customer service!Apple and the Apple credit card are some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. First of all, I open a credit card not two minutes later do I get a fraudulent charge. Then I try to contact Apple and get this dispute fixed that takes about four phone calls and three different text chats. Finally that’s resolved but then I owe a balance when I still have not even received the card. And they will not refund me the balance for something I did didn’t purchase that was also refunded.? So then I had to contact them again. I don’t know maybe six more different times and it’s still not resolved so closed the credit card. I am not getting another Apple anything. Disappointed with Apple’s Forced ObsolescenceI’m extremely disappointed after discovering that my perfectly working iPad mini from 2012 is basically unusable because Apple no longer allows older devices to download apps or run newer software. The device is clean, functional, and still in great physical shape — but it’s locked out simply because the software is outdated. This feels like forced obsolescence.
What’s even more frustrating is that my iPhone 8 Plus is facing the same issue. These devices still work, but Apple makes them incompatible with today’s apps on purpose through updates that people never asked for. Instead of letting customers use what they already paid for, everything is pushed toward buying newer and more expensive products — and then buying accessories separately on top of that.
My last Apple purchase was in March, and after this experience, it will likely be my last. It’s disappointing to see a company known for innovation turn into one that makes older products unusable just to force upgrades. I should be able to use the devices I bought without being blocked by software that takes up storage, breaks compatibility, and ultimately makes good devices useless.

Latest update removes ability to switch Apple IDsThis update has completely broken the app for me. I literally cannot use it anymore. Your Apple ID is now tied to your devices iCloud account, and no longer gives you the ability to change Apple ID. You MUST sign in to iCloud through Settings, and that is the ONLY account that can be viewed in the Apple Store app.
Since I am a LONGTIME Apple customer, I have an old iTunes account separate from my iCloud account. My entire purchasing history with iTunes and the Apple Store is on this account. My iCloud account was created when iCloud became available in 2011, and still to this day there is NO way to combine these accounts.
Well, I simply can’t use the app. I actually have a current order in process on my iTunes account, and I have NO way to manage, track, or receive notifications about this order through the app.
Absolutely infuriating. What a needlessly user hostile change. I completely understand letting the app default to your devices iCloud account enabling seamless logins. But WHY remove the ability to change Apple IDs for all of us longtime Apple customers who have separate iTunes accounts?? I guarantee the majority of Apple users who have been using Apple products before iCloud released still use their original iTunes account. That’s where all of our iTunes purchases live, and all of our Apple store purchases prior to iCloud!

They remain either unwilling or unable to provide support to my Apple ID, help me to remove devices that are antiquated and no longer operational from my Apple ID, and remain either unwilling or unable to provide the support that they have a commitment to provide.
I own a small business, have a small family, and I’ve spent more than $50,000 on Apple products in the last five years. My commitment to their products, applications, and the other services that they provide for a fee, like Apple support, require a commitment from Apple to serve, maintain, and help users to experience their platform.
Over the last three years, they have become more focused on charging hundreds of dollars for extra cables, somehow unable to be useful for more than 1 or 2 years, than they have providing support to a passionate and until now loyal community. I am one of the many that will choose different devices on a different platform in the future, not because their devices, design, brand, or any of the other top line elements of the company are faulty, but because they have given up on their commitment to their community and the service we should all expect from them for the premium we pay. Cannot purchase with account balance and terrible customer supportI was trying to purchase something with my Apple account balance in Apple Store app, it kept rejecting me saying my payment authorization failed. It’s just account balance, no other payment involved. Then I chatted with one of the Apple agent, transferred several teams, repeated the issue again and again, cannot got it resolved. Then one agent suggested me to buy with credit card and call the phone support to transfer the payment to my account balance later on, then nightmare happened, called, waited and repeated the issues again and again, but the agent on the phone did not understand the issue at all, and is very impatient. IPhone X ReviewMy iPhone X expierence so far. Preordered on Oct. 27th and managed to get a Gray/Black 256GB Iphone X. Finally arrives on the 6th and I don’t get a chance to open it up and attempt to hook up my new phone until the 11th. So here I go beaming with excitement to check out my new device that just cost me the equivalent of a house payment. Open it up and everything looks good at first and then I use my iPhone 6S light to look at the screen for any dust as I’ve already gotten a screen protector in hand to put on my new device before I even get started. Then I see it. A very very small scratch or crack under the screen coming from the notch area at the top of the phone coming down maybe 1/2 a cm long. So I schedule an appointment to talk to an Apple rep. for 8:45am and he finally calls me at 8:48am. I explain to him what I observed on my phone and he doesn’t seem to thrilled to help me out today. Maybe because it’s a Saturday and he’s at work. During our conversation he makes a statement that I didn’t really care for. Such as... Maybe the delivery man dropped your package and maybe that’s what happened. Obviously this is a manufacturing defect since it’s under the screen. So I get two options. Option A) Send my phone in to be repaired and who knows how long that will take and why would I want a brand new item I just paid a lot of money for to be repaired due to a defect. Option B) Go to the Apple Store and have them look at it and I can try and request a new phone. Oh and the next available time I can get an appointment is 4 days away and I’ll have to take off work early to resolve an Apple manufacturing defect. So I guess we will see how my Apple Store experience goes. I’ve had an Apple phone going back to the 3GS days and I’ve dealt with Apple Customer Service in the past with no issues but so far I’d have to say I’m extremely disappointed in the quality control of the IPhone X and the customer service expierence with Apple. Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service and Repair CostsI recently purchased a MacBook Air M3 in July 2024, and my experience with the company has been nothing short of frustrating. After a rain incident, some water got into my laptop, and I rushed to the store for help.
Upon arrival, I was initially told that I needed an appointment, but thankfully, a kind staff member allowed me to see someone after noticing my distress. However, the technician took a long time to arrive and, when he finally did, his attitude was dismissive. He even joked about the model being an Air, not a Pro, before shocking me with a repair quote of 1,100!
I wasn't the only one facing issues—there were others in the store with similar problems, which raises concerns about the quality of these products. The lack of genuine customer service and the outrageous repair costs have left me feeling extremely let down. I expected better from a brand with such a strong reputation.
I hope the company improves its customer service and addresses these issues, as I certainly won't be returning anytime soon. Primitive appDoesn’t let me update my card. It declined because there is no money in it. So the normal thing to do is add money in it. Apple thinks when a card decline it is permanently useless so it forces you to choose another form of payment. If I delete it I can’t because it “requires at least one form of payment in the system “.
If I try to add the same card again because it still works then Apple can’t because it’s already in the system. So instead of Apple having a 2020 friendly app that lets me retry my transaction like a normal 2020 friendly app it doesn’t comprehend to let me charge my card again.
It just wants a new card even if you don’t have another one because one your card declines once it is forever never to be used ever again by Apple for the rest of existence.
Apple please update this primitive app. When my card declines. I just have to transfer money to fix it. Now I act download apps, I cancel the subscription just because I can’t download app but Apple doesn’t care if you cancel subscription it just still needs you to update your card because it declined and this is forbidden by Apple for your card to decline. Even if it works now , even if there is money now and waiting for you to charge right now. This primitive app doesn’t let me remove , add or recharge. It’s just primitive and sits there stuck and voided from all existence blocking now my ability to download another app with its monopolistic control over other companies abilities to engage us through their apps once Apple don’t have a payment method that works in the primitive nature it serves.

Feel completely misled and extremely disappointed with my recent experience using Apple’s trade-in pI purchased an iPhone 17 Pro because I was offered a $450 trade-in credit for my current device. I entered the IMEI number, answered all the required questions honestly, and confirmed that my phone met all the conditions — no physical damage, no screen cracks, no water damage, and fully functional.
Based on that evaluation, I completed the purchase.
However, after Apple received my phone, I was sent an email asking me to accept $0 for the trade-in — with no clear explanation. I immediately filed a complaint because, according to the website, my device met all the requirements. I waited three days for a response, only to be told again that the value was $0, still without any justification or details.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. Customers are encouraged to upgrade based on a promised trade-in value, only to have it reduced to nothing after Apple has possession of the device.
For me, this experience feels like a scam. I will not be purchasing devices from Apple again, and I will definitely not use the trade-in program in the future.

Bad Apple serviceI am Apple loyal client for years but my recent experience with Apple service was horrible.
I bought a Beats Flex and it died suddenly. I brought it to an Apple Store and they sent it to service. A few days later they told me that a mesh inside is missing and refused to service it unless I pay $59 (the headset itself is sold for $69 and you can buy it for $39 at BestBuy).
It is ridiculous that I have no reason to open the earpiece to remove a mesh.
They were not any reasonable in listening to me but insisted if I do not pay, they will not fix it, although they admitted the issue was with the bad battery.

After the relentless pop ups asking for the software updates, (and much to my hesitation) I did…and yes my phone, that I really liked a lot, and that was in perfect condition, crashed. And guess what… this multimillion dollar company has no one that is able to fix my phone! They offered to mail it off (for over $300) but no guarantee it could be fixed. If by chance they could fix it, it would be wiped clean and I’d loss everything anyway.

I use the iPhone upgrade program and preordered as soon as the app would let me. I was told the new product would arrive on launch date, September 19th. Over the weekend they pushed it back over a week, while people who ordered using other methods and didn’t preorder received the product as expected on launch day.
Your best bet is to order for instore pickup on their website. I do love the App Store look, but it gives frequent error messages on a fast WiFi network in the US and Apple punts App Store preorders to the back of the line for some reason. I hope they fix this issue soon..PeelageVersion: 6.5.1

After 8 hours messaging with support personnel who ended up asking me (who’s bought only Apple products since the 1980s) if I had many Apple products that crashed all the time—as though I was the problem for my Home button appearing on EVERY PAGE. I didn’t know what a home button was.
I threatened to elevate my discussion to the bosses of the bottom level of support if they didn’t solve my problem and kicked it to the curb. The next morning, a senior support advisor had answered my question (The phantom Home Button signaled that the phone had found a problem with the software); I could get a replacement by mail.
NEW PROBLEM: I backed up my phone after tossing apps I don’t use and freed up space on my phone. The new (refurbished) phone arrived. I chose to transfer by iCloud. Guess what!

Constant request to update the app for no good reasonThis is just a terribly written app. It seems to require an update every time Apple releases,or updates their hardware. It is like they hard code in the items into the app rather than have a framework that can connect back to Apple and update itself. Think of what an Amazon app would be like if it requires you to download a new app every time they sell something new? Yea.. that wouldn’t work. My theory is that Apple want you to keep your iOS up to date so they rewrite the Apple store app forcing the most recent iOS for it to work. My old iPad Air stopped being able to get the Apple store app as I refused to keep constantly upgrading and getting a slower and slower iPad from the bloat of new junk in iOS. Something's gone awolI love the app and it works well. The only thing is that labelled buttons are still awol for those of us who use VoiceOver, in order to look up such things as specific accessories like chargers, cables, brands, etc within charging essentials. Also, there are no labeled buttons indicating iPhone models, iPad models, or iPod models within the filters and possibly everything else either. SCAM, don’t buy anything! ReadBought an app for $10 a year ago with many reviews (scanner++) and it has since been removed. Called apple support to help me find it and all they said that is that if you can’t find it then it has been removed. So basically any app could be removed by the developer at any time. Since it’s past 60 days no refunds.
What actually happened is after getting all that money they removed the app and rebranded again to ask for higher $.
Apple said they don’t have any history or support for the apps. They don’t know which apps they have basically.
