Pretty darn good

I’ve been using this app for local hikes and it has been great! Love using the offline features to guide me around new hikes. Planning trips with this has really increased my confidence to try new hikes and find new routes for previous ones. It was a bit tedious at first to figure it out but once I got the plan a route feature figured out it’s awesome! I’d like for it to be able to change colors of track routing if I am hiking the same path on the way out. Also what I would REALLY like would be an easy way to print out my planned routes just in case my battery dies. Other than that this is a great bang for your buck app. It may be less user “friendly” than all trails but once you get the hang of it I really think it’s on par or even better! Also this is the first I’ve seen with 3D mode and that is useful as well!

Overall great; usability could be improved

Overall this is a great app for planning and tracking a hike. The ability to view location and tracks offline without a cell signal is fantastic and helped me a great deal during a 2 week backpacking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, where the boys are responsible for navigating, but having a 3d map of the routes as a backup was so valuable. It helps me during a hike to check the terrain to see how much more uphill or downhill I've got to do before giving the knees a break. A couple of usability improvements would be greatly appreciated. 1) When downloading a map, it would be nice to have the default map area be the area currently being displayed, not the current location. The use case is this: I've downloaded a route or waypoint list and now want to download a map of the area. I choose "Add New Map", and the default region is my current location, and I have to pan and scroll over to where I hope the waypoints are. So annoying. 2) The process to import a .gpx file is cumbersome and not intuitive. Save to Dropbox, then Open the Maps 3D app, then go to Track List, then Import Tracks, then choose Open Dropbox, then Select the File, then Export > Open In ... and finally Maps 3D. It's a convoluted exercise that I wish was easier.

Fantastic, apple quality

This app is incredible. It's what I've been looking for since the first iPhone came out. Finally someone has executed the backcountry gps app to near perfection. Unlike other apps that have come before, this doesn't feel janky and half baked. Even if it didn't have 3D mode it would still be way better than others. The features are well thought out, the UX is great and the product is polished and high quality. The 3D mode is the icing on the cake and makes navigation even that much easier than using maps with just contour lines. Offline map support works great and you can even choose between different map sources, e.g usgs or open street view. The app is built with energy conservation in mind and doesn't use much power even whilst tracking your route. It includes great stats too such as an elevation graph, speed, vert covered, etc. As an example of how well thought out the app is, you can choose between displaying altitude based on the terrain map that's more accurate or altitude from the gps that's less accurate but useful if you're flying. I can't stop raving about how much I love this app. As a climber, backcountry skier and paraglider pilot this just became one of the best pieces of 'gear' I own, for $5 bucks it's an absolute bargain.

Led us to a better path

Bought this a few years ago when I was doing walks. I just wanted to have a journal of my activity. Back then I didn’t expect this app to continue to update. A combination of factors including Covid made us stop all activities shortly after, meaning I didn’t launch this app for ages. Recently, I started cycling again. I was surprised to see Park-Connector-Network (PCN) included in the map. Yesterday, the app actually led us to a better path (PCN) not shown on Google map. By better, I mean away from crowd (regular pavement) as it is difficult to cycle along narrow pavement with many people walking around. I am really impressed with the data that is made available. The app has way more features than I am using. Again, something within expectation since Singapore terrain isn’t as complex. I should try this app overseas. Have to wait for Covid to become a non-issue first before any leisure travel is possible.

J88-2010Version: 6.3
Amazingly Useful

I have been using this app for about two years now, and it has proven itself useful time and time again. The GPS is surprisingly accurate, and the terrain models show a sufficient amount of detail. The ability to save offline chunks and plot and track routes is what makes this app awesome. It has saved me many times when the trail disappears under snow or I decide to take a ‘shortcut’ or excursion and lose the trail. It helped me through a 5-day trip in the Sierra range, as well as more day hikes than I can count. It also has proved useful for plotting overland 4x4 trips. Can definitely recommend. Only problem is the step-up structured payment system... it would be nice to just have one Pro version that gives full access to whatever the app can offer. tl;dr: This app is accurate, helpful, and awesome. Only drawback is the payment structure. Recommend for any outdoor enthusiast.

Powerful tool with a learning curve

I've used this pretty extensively to map hikes in and around Seoul. Almost always works well, although I've had it stop tracking twice - I THINK because I switched to too many other apps and Maps 3D was closed in the background. I now just remember to switch back to Maps 3D after using another app and all is fine. Perhaps that was even a bug that has been fixed in more recent versions, as it hasn't happened recently. At any rate, two things I'd really like: - the ability to show more than one recorded track on the map at a time. Maybe it is there, but I haven't found it. Like I said, there's a learning curve. - Apple Watch support. I'd really like to see my pace, distance, and altitude and be able to pause/resume recording without digging the phone out of my pocket.

RcnimanVersion: 4.1.4
Super powerful

I’ve used this and its predecessors since at least 2015. I like it a lot. Sometimes it is a bit confusing, but it does just about everything. I would like to be able to save all tracks automatically to iCloud so I can see the tracks I record with my iPhone and Apple Watch on my iPad. Now I have to save each track individually and each one takes three or four taps. Making it automatic would be very nice. I would also like to have a way to put two tracks side by side on a map so I can compare how a trail has been changed over time. Or a way to load tracks onto Apple Maps. Maybe via a MacBook. I will have to fiddle with that. I appreciate that the earlier maps 3d app is still being updated but on my devices you can’t tell which is which other than to remember that one icon is blue on white and the other is white on blue. When managing apps it is confusing. Another cool thing would be to have it talk to Apple’s workout app the way that Strava does. I’d like to get away from strava.

PgiltnerVersion: 6.8
The best navigation app out there!

This is my first ever App Store review, and its for this app. This app is my go to navigation app, along with google maps. I’ve tried tens of other apps, and none beats the value or functionality this app. For a one time $4 fee, I’ve got everything. Features I found really useful/invaluable- 1- offline nav. There are other apps that also offers this, but the value isn’t there. They either ask for a subscription, or their maps aren’t as detailed or as useful. 2- choice of maps. In the states I like usgs topo, or topo map 1 or 2. Elsewhere, topo map 1 seems to be my go to- it has a lot of bike lanes mapped out around urban areas, and the terrain features are succinct. 3- route building. There are a few routing services (mapquest, graphhopper, yours) that you can play around with, and generally they are on point. They have a good balance between directness, best route for your method of going (biking, car, hiking, etc), and common sense (not trying to go above be the highest mountain even if it’s the most direct) 4- search. Search feature/point of interests surprisingly will show up even the most obscure place in remote areas 5- various app settings. All super useful - you can manually reduce gps accuracy, change overlay settings to make things easier to read, all super useful when I’m looking for a no frills app that will make efficient use of my precious iPhone battery. Other apps look and seem clunky that will take up tons of battery, all for a nice shiny look, but with crap functionality 6- recording. You can record and export your gpx file, super useful for journaling and keeping track. All in all, I keep coming back to this app. Other apps seem seductive, but this app does it all and it does it with no fuss, all bang. You guys rock!

Soe ThiVersion: 5.4
Very good navigation app

I would like to begin my review by apologizing to the developer and any potential user who saw my previous review. I was having trouble with some features in the app and wrote the review out of frustration. I was able to fix it by turning on the Compass Calibration in the Privacy Settings of my iPhone 6s. I use this app every single day at work so I rely a lot on it. I’ve found myself sometimes deep in the forest and thanks to the app I’ve been able not only to find my way back, but the safest way. I appreciate the developer for being so kind to me with his or her response. The only thing I need now is to recover all my waypoints.

MiamiswatVersion: 5.5.1
Nice off-road mapping app

I like the several different map layers available. I would prefer a layer that combines the features of Topo Map 2 and 3, since 3 has a lot of labeled Forest Service routes, but is low contrast. A slightly higher contrast Topo Map (like ViewRanger) would be nice too. The 3d feature is nice for visualizing trail altitude profile. The track recording features are very nice and the stats for a track are nice as well. The UI is the best I've seen on this type of mapping app. Clean, intuitive after minimal practice, and not at all clunky. Three things that leave me wanting: The biggest thing I would like to see from this app is the ability to store multiple map types for a given region. That way I could quickly switch from Topo 2 to USGS in the backcountry. The next is satellite imagery. Finally, the ability to use different coordinate systems like National Grid and MGRS, with the option to display at the top right under the elevation. Bonus: the ability to import and export GPS tracks.

Dammit linkVersion: 4.1.4
Better than Garmin

We tested this out on a 20 mile snowshoe. My $600 Garmin ran out of battery half way there. This app kept tracking. I’ve been using it now for years. You don’t have to load extra maps that cost hundreds more, you don’t have to bring an extra item, just your phone, the mileage and elevation are accurate, it works reliably without service even deep in the North Cascades, and it is far more intuitive to use. It allows you to plot your own route but has most hiking trails already available. This is better than Gaia, Carin, and All trails. Please stay in business forever 🙏🏼

LegowarsVersion: 5.1.2
Great help on hikes

Saved me from getting lost a few times already. I almost never write reviews but I made exception for this excellent app. Far cheaper and better than many alternative apps. Only complaint, as many other has noted, is how the app always takes you back to your current location when you click to download so you have to scroll all the way to find the area you were looking at. This is tricky sometimes because you might have been looking at the location of a particular landmark not easy to find on the map in the first place.

W3240298564Version: 4.1.4
Love the app

Great for hiking!! Many hiking trails intersect with other trails (that may or may not be shown on the map) so I find this app invaluable when hiking a trail for the first time. It takes away those nagging feelings that you may have taken a wrong turn. Hard to make mistakes when you've got the tracks for a trail imported to this app. However a big negative is how complex it is to import tracks. The instructions should be step-by-step and clearer to follow. Ideally there should be an easier way to import tracks but I guess once you get used to it, it's something you can live with.

Ray15780Version: 4.1.4
Terrific app!

There are many hiking apps out there, and I have tried most of them, but this is the best. Not only does it do a great job in terms of offline maps at varying levels of detail and customizable coverage for each, but the 3D functionality really gives you a sense of the terrain you just can’t get otherwise. The best feature, however is the ability to preplan routes and specify just a few points along trails that appear on the map and themn have the app automatically create a oath that actually follows the selected trails!

QoolioVersion: 6.3
Laggy app

This app seems to lag sometimes and has difficulty loading maps in mountainous areas. I tried loading maps while on forest service roads, where I had cell signal, and the maps would freeze and not load as I zoomed in to look for roads and plan a route. I have purchased the full app, so I’m disappointed so far. I’ll continue to use it and hopefully have more success. This should work fine without cell reception anyway, seeing as how it is based on GPS for location, versus cell reception and data.

Cliff1776Version: 5.4
Amazing, Used for Quilotoa Loop

This app is amazing. I used it to hike the Quilotoa Loop in Ecuador which is notorious for getting people lost. It showed the trails perfectly and was especially useful because the hike has so many shifts in elevations. Being able to see and rotate the 3D map was invaluable. It was also great to be able to track our hike and save it. Don’t forget to download the area map BEFORE you leave home and mark your known waypoints. Other people on the trail had MapsMe which was not nearly as useful.

Will2bars3starsVersion: 5.0
Go to hiking app

Used free for a year, was great. Paid for pro. This week on casual day hike, loaded the app and received error reporting that the map data server was down. Still no map data. Had to reselect default map provider. This is link in white border at bottom of window of saved maps. 5 stars for great app, -1 star for UI / error handling.

(Update) Impressed - needs better search though.

Updated review: I have been using this app on and off for the past few years. The developers have clearly been working hard the whole time. Unlike many tracking and routing apps that seem to be released and abandoned, this app has been consistently cared for. The original review's issues have been addressed mostly as well. Thanks for this awesome app guys! •————————————• Original review: This is a very nicely done app. The routing and map saving functions are really cool. The topography and POIs are a bit lacking. Staring at a trail on the map, I searched for the name and it didn't show in results. I use my old neotreks app to find trails and then this to plot and track the hike. Stuff like shelters and pay stations would be amazing. Please? Keep it up though guys :)

Cre8ivestVersion: 4.1.4
Love this app!! ❤️

Probably the best 3D outdoors map app for the price. I always download a map before my hikes and they are a great help for any overgrown trails or wilderness areas with minimal markings. I have used this trail many times to help navigate old abandoned trails. The various types of maps make it easy to choose which one is best for your need. Friends always ask what is that cool app on your phone. Maps3D is a must have for the outdoor enthusiast.

JGrant86Version: 6.6
Great detail!

I’ve had the app for over a year now but haven’t had more than a couple occasions to use it. The available maps are of great detail and the convenience of downloading just the area you want/need is great. I love the fact that I can plan my route, switch to 3D, then fly through the route to see what climbs and descents I have in store. I’m a visual learner, so studying the maps on this app make my trips so much safer and enjoyable.

TheMattCostaVersion: 4.1.4

App is top of the line and offers just about everything you would need. This developer listens to customers and their beta testers. I purchased the app a few years back and have watched it grow. Thank you for a great app and listening to those of us who are eta testing the app. Everything is working well, thank you!

Greatness!

I use Maps 3D for trail running after getting lost a few times. Since getting this app, I haven't been lost. Love it. User friendly. I like the fact that I can see elevation on the maps to plan effort. No signal? Easy, download your map before heading out. Saved me several hundred dollars from buying a Garmin Rhino-this app performs the same basic functions.

OkeemuVersion: 4.1.4
Such a great app

Lots of downloadable maps with tons of details, doesn’t use much battery when tracking. I’ve had this app for years and used on tons of hikes. Interface takes a little time to understand but once you’re familiar it’s stellar. Highly recommend

JkadamanVersion: 6.8
Excellent App

I love this app, I work in conservation and having the ability to download maps in remote areas, track our movements and understand the terrain ahead is a huge bonus for me. The only thing I would want to see is a overlay option to be able to have all my old tracks in view, not just one I select.

JayFromZimVersion: 4.1.4
Great App

Great hiking map. Simple to use with all the hiking data I want. Track, distance, speed, and a chart of the elevation changes of the recorded tracks. Low battery use, downloadable maps and no data collection. Hits every point for me. Thanks for such a useful app.

GabbydufferVersion: 6.8
Great tool!

I use this all the time for hiking and exploring. There is a little learning curve as you figure out how to download maps, plan routes, etc but once you figure it out it is super useful. It even works well when I put my phone in airplane mode to conserve battery.

JoeyoVersion: 5.0
Solid UI, great map data

The map data and UI are both great, makes the app a joy to use. The only downside is there are some iOS features that they have called behind on, like background support, and layout for an iPad screen.

Fantastic

I love the integration with both USGS topo maps ("quads") as well as OpenStreetMap. This has really helped me find my way on local trails, some of which are quite new. I just wish they had a dedicated iPad version and apple watch support too. But still a five star app.

Great for hunters

I’m an avid hunter and use this app every time I’m in the woods. Makes it easy to mark where my tree stands are, or where I find sign of deer. It is also nice to see where I’ve walked on the days I am walking through the woods.

3D brings the Map to Live

I have been a topographic map user for over 20 years. This 3D/2D App is superb! I immediately upgraded to the Maps Plus Package, since I liked what the basic package provided. I was able to find hiking and kayaking places that I visited for many years in 3 different countries: they are perfectly depicted in luxury of details. The support staff promptly responds to any question or recommendation. Maps 3D will not disappoint the outdoor enthusiast, it is highly recommended

Keep it up to date for iOS 14

This is a great 3 D map program for outdoors. It compliments your generic gps topo, and hard maps and is GREAT for planning trips in mountainous areas where elevation and grade vary greatly. This is very handy for back country cycling, hiking & mountaineering. Used on Pacific Northwest (BC) and Alberta (Banff) outings in Canada - maps are very good and controls intuitive allowing for great viewing perspectives.

Very good outdoors app

I purchased the Pro version of this app and I am very pleased with its features and functionality so far. There are a goodly number of map types available for use and the levels of detail required for various activities are quite adequate. The app imports and manages GPX tracks very well. I’ve used GPS and maps for almost 40 years now and I would recommend this app to anyone who wants a reasonably priced app for the outdoors.

One of the best apps for outdoor exercise

This is a great app from a responsive developer. Intuitive and easy to use and provides great information while on your route. For example, slope and remaining ascend and descend stats until the goal. I was unsure about the value of 3D until I tried it. The 3D representation is very helpful for helping you find your way on trails that are not well marked. It provides another bit of information, not just direction but also topology. Makes it easier to see where you should be heading. I made a recommendation for improvement for the app (in regard to possibility of manually overriding part of an auto generated route) and the developer was make to me in a day. It is always good to use an app that the developer clearly cares about. Highly recommend.

Great GPS, but....

Great app but isn’t designed for tablets... Doesn’t utilize the entire display on a tablet and can only be used in portrait mode. For some this may not be an issue, but I had hoped to use the larger format display in my vehicle and boat. Hopefully they’ll address these issues in future versions.

Great product

I downloaded this app to use for backcountry skiing and hiking and it works really well. All you need to do is pre load the maps on the app before you head out and then your phone's GPS will locate it on the map. It's much more user friendly than my friends handheld GPS and if you run your phone on airplane mode it uses the battery conservatively. Definitely would recommend for any body venturing out into the backcountry.

I never could figure out my Garmin. This is intuitive and works really well on my iPhone6. You just have to ensure that your required map tiles are downloaded prior to the trip. I use it snowmobiling and mountain biking with total reliability to date. Everyone I show it to, downloads it.

This app is fantastic. I've been using it to track my hikes off the known paths and it's great.

Great App!

I use this app all the time when I go hiking, the only complaint is that it is slow (iPhone 5) and I wish it would have the distance to gps on the home screen.

Almost perfect

This app is exactly what I was looking for to plan Hikes and to navigate off-line. Unfortunately I had to buy the pro version right away, because the light version was too useless to evaluate. But I am glad I took a chance because the pro version is stable and works well. On my wish list is satellite maps of Canada, please please please. Also it would be nice to be able to use live maps, so that one could switch between map types more easily to evaluate which maps were useful to download. The pro version has no live maps so you need to download before using. Strangely there is a live mode in the lite version, but not in the pro version.

Great new update!

Great new update guys! I love using this app when we go snowmobiling in the back country. It's great to be able to rotate around the mountain and check out all the valleys before we head in. Keep up the great work. Best money I ever spent was on this app. 👍

Seems like a great app so far!

Haven't had too much of a chance to really try it but so far just playing with it seems pretty good! One thing I'd like to see is the ability to coordinates in UTM.

Great app for hiking

Great app. Love the ability to load detailed maps offline for hiking. Works very smoothly when scrolling around. It would be awesome if there is a way to invert the two finger scroll direction for 3D view change so that it matches how it functions in Apple Maps.

Awesome app for planning cycling trips. It's nice to be able to plan trips taking into account the actual distances following bike trails, and the level of difficulty resulting from hills.

Maps 3D is awesome

Very pleased with this update! The driving direction map orientation (DDMO) feature is extremely useful. This app has kept me safe and on track in the worst conditions on very dangerous terrain! A must have for any tech savvy hiker/mountaineer!

Excellent

By far the best map program out there. Offline maps, topographic and relief 3D display, even logging. I'm a hiker and mountain biker and I've tried most of the map apps out there. It needs to be offline for when I'm on the mountains with no cell coverage and it should be able to show me what's around me easily. Maps 3D does that better than the alternatives out there. To be honest this in the only one I usually use. And since I've recommended it to at least 4 of my friends they are using it too.

Works for offline (no internet) user

Very useful app for me. I bike a lot and the gps really helps for even i dont have sim nor internet connection. You have to make sure you download the map first if you have a wifi so you have permanent map saved in your iphone. I use and rely on this app for my bike routes and for knowing where are the bike routs to get me to the destination. But this app doesnt have a route plan or direction if you need instructions to go somewhere I like this app and didnt replace this app as my bike map.

My favorite of all time

I hunt, I fish, I hike and this is the most valuable app I have. I use it daily, notated what my outdoor adventure. The only thing I would change is the speed with which a map can be downloaded. I need to get them faster and more reliably so that I can prepare for a trip. I'm not going on a trip without it!

Maps 3D PRO - Hike & Bike Negative Reviews and Ratings

Planning routes can be frustrating/impossible at times

The app is useful, but like many others it can be frustrating when trying to plan a route. Often times there may be small gaps or sections of unmarked trail between established trails on the map. There is no way that I have found to use a combination of route calculation AND direct path measurements within the same planned route. So either the route calculation winds around an obscure path to connect 2 route points, or you’re stuck connecting a million route points, even on the parts that cover established map trails. Really there should be a setting to be able to change the routing options between set route points, instead of just for the whole planned route. Other features seem great, but I really wanted this app to accurately plan routes ahead of time, and it just doesn’t deliver in that realm.

Not cool 15Version: 5.3
Poor User Interface

I was looking for an app to provide a reasonable user interface for Opencyclemap. Well, this app has the maps but that's about it. I can sort of navigate around so I guess the app does what it's supposed to do but, boy, what a poor user interface. If you are used to the haptics of Google Earth or Apple's own Maps app you'll be horribly disappointed. I could write pages about what's wrong with this app but the bucks I spent for it are already way too much so I will surely not make another investment for nothing. Since I have not found anything better yet, I will probably keep using the app for a bit but as the next best thing comes around I'll be happy to ditch it. Oh my... so sad to see hardly any mapping app with a reasonable UI.

MogleeVersion: 6.3
Disappointed in change

My hiking group used Maps3D ALL the time exclusively because we were able to exchange tracks via email. Now, when it is emailed, it comes up with gibberish. What happened? We are now exploring different apps to use that we can send GPX. Also, lately, it’s not been working as well. Very difficult to bring up the map whilst hiking. Just grid lines...so disappointed as I’ve used it for four years now and I have so many tracks in there. Would love it, if it could be resolved. That would be a five star rating.

Susie1031eVersion: 5.3
Not a bad option.

[Update] My initial review was based on an experience involving a bad connection. Once that was sorted out it actually worked as advertised, though it still loads slowly when tested on numerous internet platforms. Unless you intend to buy the full app (in app purchase) there my be better free apps out there for planning a trip. If you are intending to go all in, I think it is a very helpful app to visualize an area you are thinking of hiking through. I have not used it on the trail, so I can’t add any info about using it in the field.

MarkhlongVersion: 5.3
Doesn’t Save Waypoints or Maps in Backup

I love the way this app works. BUT, I have lost waypoints and your maps have to be re-downloaded after a phone change/upgrade (due to a technical issue with iOS). I was able to export waypoints that were part of a track, but Tracking can drain your battery life. The current version does a better job of exporting tracks, but all my waypoints that were not part of a track are gone when I upgraded to the iPhone 8+

Best Backpacking GPS Map on the App Store

I’ve tried many apps for using GPS while on long hikes. This one always works well. It’s worked well for years and years. Thanks to the people who make it for making something great.

Slow Map Downloads

The offline map downloads are unbelievably slow. It took about 10 minutes to download 60mb over WiFi. It does not download in the background, which means you lose full functionality of the app for the duration. Large map chunks appear to be around 3gb... so if you did want to download a large chunk don’t plan on using the app today.

Misaligned 3D Rendering to 2D contour map

Misaligned 3D rendering to 2D contour map. Is there a way to align them? I can tell the misalignment because mountain peaks should be at the center of contour circles in which they aren’t. Other than that the 3D map looks amazing. However I would not recommend this for hiking because of the issue mentioned. The area I am looking at is Pinnacles National Park in California USA.

Do not buy look for free version

Glitchy, maps slow or wont load, corupted, etc. Found free version from same developer which works very good but waste of $6 for this and cant get refund.

Would not recommend.

This app is extremely slow on the 6 plus. I would not recommend it at all. Cool features but is barely usable with how much it freezes up. Want me money back. Zero stars if I could.

Used to be the best hiking&skiing app

As long as you have an internet connection in the mountains! The maps download function, for offline use, was taken out. You have to sign to another service (every trail) to do so, but just got errors. I paid for it the to be able to download maps. Going back to messy motionx. goodbye 3d maps...

Great app with quirks

Great off line GPS app with some irritating bugs/quirks: - I only can display one track at the time - it would be nice to be able to display multiple tracks at this same time, - bicycle map appears in download menu, but not in map menu

Arthur 2010Version: 3.4
There are better options out there

Not a bad app; however not great. First, the maps are raster based which means long download times, slow loading and huge file sizes. These days, vector based maps are where it's at. The 3D feature sounds neat but in practise, it's kind of a gimmick and unless you're in a really mountainous area, the effect is pretty subtle. The app has track recording as well as routing features; however the latter is pretty useless for a trip of any distance due to the map file sizes ; I guess you could try relying on live map downloads over cellular but at that point why not just use the superior Google maps? Lastly, support is lacking. It's a paid app and the developers have dropped support for all iOS versions except iOS 7 and have even cited a "new interface". Well based on the screenshots, it looks exacly like the last version. C'mon devs, I know Apple is pushing hard for iOS 7 domination but many devs are at least supporting iOS 6; you can to.

OK for hiking, not good for longer drives

👍shows topo trails 👍nice 3D rendering 👍nice post-route infographics 👎limited map tiles - have to be manually switched for a different area 👎up to 45min upload for detailed map over wifi?!? 👎map upload doesn't match the full requested selection! 👎routing not available - only tracks are able to display 👎no directional facing arrow on the map - one has to walk for a bit in order to determine the heading direction 👎ponds, creeks and streams not always visible 👎text is imbedded in maps and not always facing you. (Not driver friendly app)
