Especially 3d view

I’m considering the Pro version, but I’ve found that not every app that costs money is ad-free. I don’t mind a charge, but I need to know that there are (and will be) no ads. Out of 1,200 apps, I have only one that has ads, and it’s somewhat of a necessity. UPDATE: My question has been answered and I purchased the Premium version (and changed this to five stars). Thank you! (I’m not sure why the developers’ response and my subsequent response don’t show up on the original review—maybe because I no longer have this version, but the Premium version? Or maybe there’s a delay? Hopefully, the original doesn’t appear as though it’s unanswered—by either of us.)

Useful application for nature visitors

Of probably a dozen apps I’ve tried out for making gpx files of my hikes I find this one generates the most detailed elevation history. And then is the only one I’ve found to display tracks in 3D. Very nice.

This app is very user friendly. Not as accurate as I’d like but good enough to be very helpful. I finished crossing Mt Mamquam Glacier two days ago and this was more useful than my old Garmin Etrax 20. Instant and easy...”we should be more to the right, to pick up our track up”. When the clouds rolled in on a 14 hr hike...wasting time is no fun. This app helped a lot.

The maps show forestry roads but do not show backcountry camp sites. Hope this will be added soon.

Love this app for trail walking and riding. GPS is rock solid!

Very handy to have. Maybe the waypoints could have an option to be pop ups rather than having to select the green dots to open them. You can’t zoom in enough to tap waypoints that are close together. It would also be a reminder if you’re not looking at you’re phone as you move.

- simple, intuitive user interface - comprehensive maps which include almost all local trails - easy to share tracks with other users (who do not need to have Maps 3D) - easy to offload tracks to other devices and view in Google Earth, Garmin Basecamp, etc. - I no longer use my expensive Garmin handheld GPS!

I like the concept and would like to test it out when I go hiking. But; I am wary to begin as it doesn’t show the body of water I live next to (a lake). If this is the case, what else is not showing? Also when clicking the layers button, I could scroll through ‘something’ but there was no text to say what layer I was looking at.

The 3D topographical map gives an excellent representation of actual terrain. Overlaying the roads into it, prove great for steep mountainous inclines or declines. Truckers, or large recreational vehicles, small moving trailer on passenger vehicles will find this App an excellent reference to plan for cross country trips. Other maps use satellite views which don’t really help. The plus is the viewable hiking trails.

Extremely hard to navigate, won't let me pull up map and doesn't have trail I'm looking for.....

Advice- play with the free version before trusting it or buying the full app as I did. The app got me lost since it only drew me straight lines as a crow flies, and since there is no tutorial and no online help that I found, I can't tell if I have something set wrong.

..it worked for a bit then the screen got stuck on a white screen.. so I had to delete. seemed like a great app.. but.. sorry!

Absolutely not recommended. For that matter do not buy the full app. Get something else.

Good potential but very frustrating to put waypoints in and no back function if you make a mistake. It also doesn’t give options to the route you can take and simply picks the shortest distance. Search function is very glitchy and doesn’t find many names. Just spent 2 hours putting my waypoints in for a 10 day treck just to accidentally press delete (no going back, and nothing asking if I was sure).... very frustrating app that needs improvement. Wish I could get my money back until they fix these glitches.

(Not driver friendly app)

I wanted to be able to download maps for areas where I won't have cell coverage. Going to the search I put in a town 30 Kim away. It says the map is out if range. I've wasted all my money on all the upgrades to the light app. Documentation is slow to read and not detailed. So I have to assume that buying the full app forces me to waste my investment in light upgrades.

When the gps is actually working it is pretty handy to have around it's a pain when it doesn't work though
