No snake oil, just useful statsIf you’re looking for an app that will tell you comforting, colorfully-illustrated lies about “trickle charging” your battery, this isn’t the app for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking for an app that will give you a wealth of information that’s truly useful and doesn’t attempt to promise what it can’t deliver, you’ve found it. After downloading this app and starting to use it, I was disappointed by the lack of an alarm to notify me when charging was at 100 because I’d been told by both battery app descriptions and tech journalists in the past that “overcharging” (like leaving your device on the charger all night) can be a cause of battery life(span) issues. So I emailed the dev of System Status. Know what I learned? Two things: one, he’s very responsive and helpful, and two: battery charging is 100% under iOS control - it stops charging when it hits full charge. In other words, you can’t “overcharge” your battery. And the kind of alarm I was looking for used to be a feature in System Status, but A) it had to be running in the background to continually check on charge and B) Apple restricted what apps can run in the background. So he removed the alarm, as people would’ve had to leave System Status as their front-most app for it to work. A simple, clear explanation. Good app for iPad System statsFirst off, I do recommend this app. I’d like to see the app continue to monitor in the background when switching to another app, BUT this I believe is an iPadOS limitation. I purchased the full version of this app for system insights to my 2017 iPad Pro, and it is useful on my M1 iPad Pro. I check memory and CPU the most and this app has been the Closest thing to an Activity Monitor for the iPad. More details to my “WISH” above … My only wish is that it would keep active when I minimize it to the background until I actually close the app. I want to run certain tasks and see what ‘pressure’ they put on my M1 iPad Pro - which I can when hooked into an external monitor and running Stage Manager when needed..Fsht@nkVersion: 6.0

A Fantastic App that’s been on all my phones since I had an iPhoneThis is one of those apps that I find myself using enough so that it never gets offloaded from my phone. It gives me important data that helps me understand the internal condition of my phone. The app always works, I think I’ve had it since my iPhone 4 or so and I’m on an iPhone 13 (because it’s ridiculous to buy a new phone just bc it’s “new”. Anyway if gift it 10/10 stars. I also used their network analyzer for a period and it worked as advertised. That’s the thing, it does what it’s supposed to do without pestering me with all the pop up adverts. Used this App for YearsI downloaded and gratefully paid for this app many years ago. I even remember when this app was able to show all the running processes, a missed feature Apple took away. Regardless, I still find this app very helpful when I need to troubleshoot my iPhone. It shows me CPU and network usage, which is very helpful when you need to figure out if your download is still going or if you have a runaway process. I also love the ability to free up my ram. System status proI purchased this app, which I definitely love, however, when k looked at this app, it said that another app called “Network and System Toolkit” was included. After purchasing this app, I moved it to a screen file on my front page, for easy access, and when I went to get the other app I indicated above, I couldn’t not find it. I tried a search for it, then went to the store to find the app, and hit the open key, but it shows I need to purchase it for $3.99. While that’s not a big purchase, the fact remains when I looked at the system status app, it said the Network & Status toolkit cubes with it. This and Net Analyzer are my go-to toolsGet both together and you have what you need to diagnose issues. One of the problems with using iOS devices is the lack of built-in diagnostic tools. This app and its brother Net Analyser give you that power. Note however that some features are limited by some of iOS’s security choices; murder you may get away with on Windows, Linux distro’s or MacOS you may not be able to do with these apps. But that’s okay; part of what’s nice about iOS is that it prevents many user mistakes. That’s even more important when a device is having problems. A great appI’ve had this app since it came out and I use it on every iOS device I have. I remember it helping free up memory on my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 (yes that old)! As someone who runs a lot of audio and video apps, this tool is great when your system starts to lag. It frees up memory when you don’t have time to reboot (or you are using apps and can’t reboot). Our devices are now much faster and have more memory than earlier iOS devices, but you will be surprised how some apps can drain your memory still. Get This & Network Analyzer - Together = 👍🏼This (especially when used in conjunction with this Developer’s Network Analyzer App) are definitely the most used on my iPhone. Very InterestingI’m a low-level geek who purchased the bundle (System Status; Net Analyzer) after reading an article in The Verge regarding Apple’s recent iOS updates slowing CPUs on older devices from 1400MHz to 600 MHz to prolong battery life. Used to work very well.(Old review - Works very well, and gives me a lot more info than I have needed so far.) Now I’m very unhappy. I was just busy updating the OSes on some of my devices, and when I tried to run System Status Pro on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, so that I could record the boot time, it insisted on taking me to a page advertising its Network Analyzer instead. Fortunately I still had the old System Status installed, and I used it to get the info I needed, but I really did not need the aggravation while I was updating OSes.
