Papa Johns Pizza & Delivery Positive Reviews
Great pizza - but app is a scandalI’ve been eating at PJ’s for decades - their app is great with their “papa track” functionality (to see if your pizza is ready)…. But today I noticed they’ve preyed on all their customers with a fake percentage tips. I don’t know how long it’s been this way, but the percentages are very skewed - No matter what I add to my cart, even the 15% tip is off by a large margin… it gets worse as you increase the tip percentage. The 25% option is actually close to 33-35% for my order today which is why I noticed for such a small order, why is my “25%” tip costing me a third or more of my order? Is this their app programmer taking a little off the top for themselves, or is Papa being greedy and hoping people won’t notice their “tip” isn’t accurate to the percentage button they are clicking? Seems a lot of people either refuse to tip or “over tip” and I really hated to find out that the app is preying on those who click the 25% button to support their local workers of great pizza pie. I wonder if Papa is aware or if it’s all some heinous unethical scandal. I mean it’s a tip, so we can’t sue for inaccurate pricing, it’s literally us giving them free money to help pay their workers as a thank you, but with the app doing your “percent” math wrong, in this day and age, isn’t an accident - it’s malicious. Now I don’t even trust leaving tips in any apps - how do we KNOW the workers are even getting the right amounts? Crime..Version: 4.69.1
Love the pizza here the so called promotional discountsI rarely order pizza because I’m gluten free & have other food allergies too but have always enjoyed Papa John’s pizza. I’ve ordered twice through the app & the app is fairly decent but the promotions don’t seem so great when you’re charged for everything else ie gluten free crust, or other crust choices, extra anything, every topping & so on…I’m sure if I asked for extra garlic sauce instead of peppers I may get charged for that as well. Now I do realize that times have changed since I ordered pizza from anywhere because it’s more cost effective, for me with multiple food allergies including gluten & soy, to buy a frozen GFpizza & make it myself but good grief if y’all are advertising a promotion, on your website or otherwise, why can’t you charge the price advertised & leave it at that??? Seriously the repeat business you’re going to get occasionally from someone like me who orders once in a blue moon literally I would think would make up for the $$$ you might lose in setting promotions to draw business instead of possibly deterring it cause 2 pizzas on carry out shouldn’t cost close to $50…again I realize inflation is an SOB but seriously you could market your promotional discounts to better suit your customers & still maintain your profit margins right??? Food for thought big Papa John for real….my husband is from Kentucky & I’ve learned a little about how snazzy a businessman you really are & my hats off to ya but please give us slightly older & wiser folks that are on SSDI & fixed incomes a break cause we seriously need all the help we can get. Thank you.Version: 5.25.0
Papa John’s what do you expect? This place made me and my uncle close our family owned pizza that was open by the guys father from Gino”s, his dad John opened it in the 1949 and we bought it in 1996, after some guy names Sammy ran it down for a couple years. We sold Queen B pizza from 162nd st and 45th ave across from Queen B deli to our customer Mario that had no idea how to run a pizza but we sold it to him and decided to buy John’s pizza on Parsons Blvd. and 45th ave after Sammy told us the pizza was making 7k a week. Turns out Sammy lied and we almost broke his legs so we made him work for free but we caught him stealing till I decided to start working there in 2004. We only made about give or take $1500 a week but I was doing everything except making pizza. Dinners, cleaning, serving customers, register, deliveries. I think the fact that I delivered pizza faster than the Chinese delivery man delivered Chinese food, I think the business explode to over $7k a week and we did good till we opened a pizzeria in Glendale. That was our downfall plus once we decided to close the Glendale shop the Papa John’s open across the street and that was the nail in the coffin. John’s pizzeria is a billion times better than papa John’s but people rather buy $9 pies instead of having an Italian restaurant with a huge menu and $14 pies. Oh well..Version: 4.82
ScraigThe app seems to be easier at times than the website; however, they both have their challenges. Still, I love the fact that you can order on line and once you get used to their kooky app and how to find things and change things it’s easier, just like anything...the more you use it, the easier it is....I will say, the that helped me with the app at the San Clemente location was really a wonderful, knowledgeable and courteous. It’s worth it to call in, just to order through him directly. I wish I could remember his name, but he was very sweet and encouraging, whilst I was having trouble ordering online and it was gonna giving me all the currency subtotals and totals in the English pound, instead of the US Dollar....he figured out what the issue was, by going online with his own phone, to try and mimic my issue. He didn’t care the amount of time I was taking up and didn’t seem to mind when I hung up to order it online once I was able to pull up the app and get the currency correct. How wonderful was that and he never once made me feel inferior or less than knowledgeable on how to traverse my way through the app. So, my long/short review is, once you get over the learning curve with this “papa johns app”, it’s easy enough...still having a few hiccups here and there...so, I say, skip the app and call in, to get a very nice young man on the phone, ready and happy to take your order over the phone, or just give a helping hand to someone who is “app challenged”....good luck with whichever route you take to order your pizza..Version: 4.29.0
CHECK YOUR LOCATIONI have twice ordered from the app and it is slow to update my “current location”. First time I was did it I returned home from Orlando, FL to North Carolina. As I used the app it never updated my location. I thought it would auto pick up my current location. I did reach out to the store and the manager was very accommodating. Also the manager at the North Carolina store felt bad for me because I was with my wife and kids sitting in the car. He quickly had his team make up our order locally. Second time I was earlier in the day in Rock Hill, SC drive home to Charlotte, NC. While in Charlotte reopened the app placed my order. In error, did not check my location being update and the app still thought I was in Rock Hill. After having it opened for 5-7 min before select the order option. I placed my order and when to the Charlotte Papa John’s to pick up my my order was 35 min away in Rock Hill. Lucky I call and had my sister pick up the pizza but I still had no pizza for dinner. Just if possible place on your list of enhancements a prompt that prior to ordering asked that you confirm the location BEFORE the order goes through or accepts payment..Version: 4.52
Amazing pizza but mediocre appI love this place’s pizza and have for well over half of my life. The more I use this app the more these issues irritate me... and I’m not going into everything I like about this app, just what I dislike this time around. It irritates the snot out of me having to feel guilted into tipping a damned driver BEFORE I receive my food. Because I have seen the difference in how things are handled with a tip included or excluded and trust me, either you tip before or you really regret it later. 10 cents for Parmesan packets and crushed red pepper? I don’t mean to seem like such a penny pincher, but this crap adds up SO FAST and before you knew it, those two simple pizzas you were craving turned into a $60 order!! But it is really lame that they charge for these now when there are other ways of getting money from people..., JUST ask the developers at Niantic and Pokémon Go; they have many many underhanded ways of milking money from us while acting like everything is business as usual.. Their soda selection is underwhelming, but not as underwhelming as their barely mediocre rewards program. Mind you, Jamba Juice has everyone beat with the most lackluster rewards program I’m a part of, but this one is close when it comes to being humored that your spending actually elevates you rapidly to your free stuff. Yeah.Version: 4.46
Good taste, good price…howeverI’ve tried several channels to get this message to Papa John, yet after numerous app updates I feel that as a customer I’m being ignored. Couple problems with your business. First, if I have this particular issue, then others do too, I’m rarely alone when I call bs on shady practices, you may as well count this as thousands of reviews, I’m gonna lay it out while others may not bother even though they agree with me. Here it is: Pizza toppings are supposed to go on top of the pizza and get roasted and crispy, not get hidden under the cheese and soggy. Yes some places do that, esp with chicago style pizza, which I specifically avoid, but for NY/CA style pizza it’s just plain wrong. You need to either put toppings on top by default unless requested otherwise or add a mechanism in the app to specify toppings above/below the cheese, either a checkbox or a space for a note to the kitchen. The pix in your ads and app show the toppings on top, so when they are buried in my pizza, it’s both disappointing and false advertising. It would be hilarious if you took pix of the real products with the toopings buried under the cheese because they would all look exactly the same, wouldn’t they? Plus if you’re running a special and I can’t see that the toppings are just as generous as a full-price depiction, it automatically raises the suspicion that you skimped, that you’re cleverly hiding it, and that your special deal is actually a false savings. The best way around that ethical dilemma is toppings clearly visible. If you’re doing great in this economy competing with P.H. and D’s, then great, but if you’re struggling then it’s time to get it together and do more to build customer confidence. I’m currently boycotting you, and will continue to, until you fix the toppings issue. If you go chapter 11 in the meantime, you and I will both know why..Version: 5.29.0
Love almost everythingSo this app is truly amazing. You have access to all sorts of deals and specials so you can play around and see how you can save the most money. My one complaint, and I do find this extremely annoying but not game breaking, you are limited to how many things you can edit regarding toppings. You get 3 I think. That’s for both inclusions and take aways. For example, if I order a meats pizza, if I change the crust, add extra cheese and make it so that only half the pizza has pepperoni instead of the full thing (so I’m not even technically removing the pepperoni) that’s all I can do. I can’t add any other toppings, which for me would be peppers and onions. Well why not get a supreme? Well then there are toppings I want to take away instead in addition to changing the crust to stuffed crust & ideally adding extra cheese. Can’t do it all. All that to say, if you have more than 3 things you want to change about the pizza (you’re even limited on the create your own just not as bad), you have to call it in which completely defeats the purpose of the app. But if you call in be sure to ask what their specials/deals are or you’ll miss out on savings. And in this economy, we gotta save every dollar we can..Version: 5.31.0
Add Note to Specific Item on OrderI can’t tell you how many times I have had to have a pizza redelivered because my son can’t have tomato sauce. An easy solution is “add note for pizza maker” for a specific item. Because even clicking “No Sauce” doesn’t always work. Makes it an inconvenience to my family, the driver and the people involved when it could be easily made to stand out more as NOTE. Come on guys, you’ve got all the technology for tracking the car with the pizza but still have employees who don’t read basic instructions all the time. Please consider this. Imagine how many delivered pizzas wouldn’t entail the driver returning with another one and added a loss of income to you. While you’re add it. Why do I have to pay an entirely separate delivery fee and tip, if I’m calling immediately after placing the order through the app to add an extra pizza because more people showed up. That’s insane. Let me pay over the phone or add a timeframe that the order can be corrected by for no additional charge. Delivery fees are too high when I’m already tipping the driver well. This adds over $10 every time to my bill. You don’t need to make all the money in the world, let your driver benefit from a better tip and keep them longer..Version: 4.43
Papa appKind of clunky. Not always intuitive to find the best deal or be clear on what is going on. The app designers need to consider the situations in which people order pizza in order to optimize the experience. For instance, a confirmation at checkout of destination and origin store. Sometimes I’m working nights at the office ordering from a store in one county, other times the wife and kids want delivery to the neighborhood pool, and then the standard home delivery. We’ve had to call to cancel when we realized we had ordered from the wrong store because it automatically puts the most recent location and delivery address in by default. Also, they’re missing out on ways to prompt purchasing. Sometimes it’s a narrow debate about whether there is enough hunger in household to justify an extra pizza vs a side of breadsticks. Promos that up sell sides at a discount when combined with a specialty pizza etc, would induce more sales I reckon. Overall the app does what you expect but it isn’t one of those apps that astounds with how user friendly it is..Version: 4.72.1
BEST PIZZA ESTABLISHMENT IN MT. WashingtonOnly once outta the last 25 times of ordering has my pizza not been perfectly made, hot, and delicious, I can’t really complain too much at all. My only issue was that one time I ordered the pizza tasted like the dough was from night before and later that day once kids came home from school and complained also so I knew it wasn’t just me that took heed with the quality, so I called the manager and told em, he assumed I wanted free pizza tried call my bluff said he wanted all the pizza back, well lucky me I had all the pizza but three pieces we tried so Then after he jumped conclusion an I explained finally I had the pizza still as it was no good he said he take the pizza off n hung up lol, whatever that meant because nothing was ever taking off of anything I’m aware of. Thank God I don’t EVER have issues because that night guy was a awful manager, this was prob like 4 months ago so hopefully the cranky guy moved on to different job more suitable like garbage can cleaner at a prison lol. But other than thank their ALL AMAZING.Version: 4.85
Papa's in the house! 🍕Great pizza! Convenient app! Amazing specials like BOGOs and discounts! Only two things that need work. 1) Fix the bug that duplicates my saved delivery addresses. I have 10 or so of my apartment and at least 5 of my family's address. They show up as something like Apartment1, Apartment2, Apartment3, etc. I can't customize or delete any of them. 2) Add more payment options like Venmo and other similar services! Add options for splitting the bill. As a college student, I can't tell you how many times I've had to foot the bill up front and then try to figure out how to split the cost among 10 other people. Plus, actually getting people to pay me back is a chore in of itself. Maybe add a built-in calculator. That would at least make it a little bit more social, prompting customers to get pizza with friends. Just spit-ballin here. Update: Bugs have been fixed. No more duplicate addresses. I love Papa John’s and I love using this app! Fast food joints trying to kick start their app should take notes..Version: 4.45
Good but could be betterIt could be more intuitive, I didn’t see how to leave a tip the first time I used it. If you ordered a custom pizza recently you should be able to select that from the first option of standard pizzas without having to create it each time (even list those first.) this past order I wasn’t able to find a size selection for the pizza, not sure if thats a new thing or what. I can’t imagine they don’t have small or extra-large pizzas anymore... It’d be really nice if they just offered meal deals like two large two-topping and ... for $. Over the phone I always get a two-medium or two-large special with a side. Maybe there could be an option to get limited time offers (that are actually a deal) to order within an hour etc. that could be sent in the evenings if you haven’t ordered or received an offer in at least a week, or before big games etc. Once you get to know how to use the app it is good but not great but it’s still better than calling in an order. — If I wasn’t lazy I’d call and see what the deals are though..Version: 4.45
Great app when it worksA easy to use and navigate app when it actually works. Recently we have encountered a few different errors messages and hiccups either while placing an order or being sent a message that it’s on its way 25-30+ minutes before it actually arrives or leaves the store which is less than 3 miles from my home. The last time we got an error message saying that our order/payment hadn’t gone through and when we tried to reprocess it it asked if we wanted to cancel our order to replace it with the new one. I had to call the store ,which usually means waiting anywhere from 10-45 minutes to speak to a human, to verify that our order had actually gone through with the payment which it had. Both the manager and I were very confused by what the app had done. We love the convenience and ease of this app WHEN IT WORKS PROPERLY because many of the restaurant apps don’t work and are more stress inducing than it’s worth especially with everything going on in the world due to covid. Only changes that need to be made are to provide a space for the customer to add any specific instructions such as cooking the wings longer so they are more crispy or if you are adding to or modifying a regular menu item or that whoever is making it understands your request. We have had multiple issues where they didn’t follow the customization of a specific pizza on the menu and yet they still charged the extra amount of $$ for it. Also the tip area of the checkout needs to be more visible because it has added in a much higher tip than necessary when I didn’t see the tip section. The area to leave instructions for the driver needs to be larger so that the instructions can actually be longer than 5 words. Our street name is very similar to 2 other streets in our city and we regularly have to give detailed information on which one we live on. Other then those changes it’s a great app..Version: 4.46
Awkward experienceI could give this app a few more STARS if it wasn’t for this weirdAnd awkward experience. I placed an order a few days ago..., Right at time of delivery, the delivery guy calls stating he was at my door, “I’m in my house inside my door, but I don’t see anybody”. I said I think you got the wrong addy, he insist NO this is your delivery addy on file for your order. Weird. I checked the app and it all looked okay with the right info. So I called the store requesting they call the delivery guy with help on my delivery addressing the correct delivery info. The guy on the phone replied: “Okay boss”...... Like I offended the poor guy for a clear mistake someone made at the store. This is awful and very awkward you PAPA John’s employees, get the job done and do it right please. “You address the issue, you don’t play smart on your side people, you look bad and it AFFECTS YOU!”... No one called the delivery guy of course, I had to tell him where I was exactly abs get my delivery late.... So fix your attitude, earn the stars you think you deserve..Version: 4.44.1
Thank You Craig or Greg!I just spoke to a Mr Craig or Greg & w out any hesitation he helped me instantly & immediately on a delivery to my home. I have a 6 month old & a Autisic son w me & it makes going anywhere during the daily extremely difficult. Papa John’s has always done it for me but I usually feel myself truly begging to get the delivery approved. I am right outside of their delivery limits & sometimes they wouldn’t be able to approve it but Mr Greg/Craig helped me immediately told me what to do & legit got it done & made things happen & I couldn’t be more grateful at this time for his help bc I am sick & plus have a baby plus another adult kid w autism it’s a lot to load the up to come all the way to Tupelo with & I just couldn’t be more thankful for his help! It’s so hard to even just talk to people these days that are friendly & nice & without an attitude & that’s so refreshing too! He deserves a raise he truly does & we need more guys like him around! Thanks tons hun truly appreciate all your help today!.Version: 5.14.0
GreatIt does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. It does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. It does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. So in conclusion, all in all, to sum up, I digress; this is a really good papa johns app to order papa johns pizza. It does exactly what I need to get me pizza. I except give me something to do other than write a review while I wait for said pizza. Please add a little game… I mean what is any app with out some activity to keep you distracted from this crazy world we live in. Enjoy your pizza. While you can. Life is short. Eat the pizza..Version: 4.49
Pretty easyI’d give 5⭐️ except there’s a few things that could make it go smoother. If I exit the app for any reason and come back in trying to finish my order, it’s completely wiped and I have to start over. If I just want to check out specials, I have to select delivery or carry out before seeing the menu- not sure why I can’t select that once I’m adding an item to my cart instead. Selecting pizza topping could be easier if at the bottom it gave a tab for switching between veggies and meats (or had a reminder that veggies/meats cheese topping toggles was above) instead of it being a button to finalize the pizza order. Every time I’ve accidentally finished the pizza without the veggies, I have to delete it and start again. Also, having an easier way to track your order once you’ve exited the app would be easier that having to again select delivery/carry out and go through several steps to find it would be awesome. Maybe a button at the bottom that says track to do so. It is a great app to order but is really frustrating sometimes.Version: 4.31.1
Manager MissingThese past few months have been very upsetting due to our past few orders. My husband ordered a pizza while I was out of state in June and it took two hours before it was delivered. He did not have a smart phone at the time and is not very tech savvy, so he had to call me in Ohio and have me check on my phone to see where his order was. At time he called me it had already been about 45 minutes. When I looked it said on the papa tracker that it was still being prepared. Then I called him about 45 minutes later after that and he still had not received his pizza. So I called our local papa John’s in lake Wales, Florida and requested to speak to a manager. The lady who answered said she was the manager. Long story short, she stated that she didn’t have enough help to make the time promised online and couldn’t change the default time. She stated she would make it right with free stuff but we never saw that. Anyway I told her to up channel my concerns about the default time and she said okay. Y’all need to fix this. Because it will happen again..Version: 4.46
Great pizzaOrdering from the app is fairly easy allowing me to save and use multiple locations to deliver to or carry out from, whichever is most convenient. Paying directly from the app allows me to have the no contact delivery or to send food to someone else without sending my credit card with them as well. The tracking service allows me to be ready or pick up my order right on time. The promos and papa dough rewards are great. I wish the specials would be a little more enticing or special. For example, the special for the papadias is the same as original price, but if you click on the specials pricing, the promotional discounts do not apply. The prices may be a little higher than others, but the service and food are much better in my opinion. I would like a feature for the “customize your own pizza” was more clear and didn’t cost so much for each topping. Otherwise I’m happy..Version: 4.45
Outstanding!I have been patronizing a competitor because I lived outside PJ’s delivery area. It was like Russian Roulette. Some days, food came promptly, hot and properly cooked. Too many times, it came quite late, lukewarm, and nearly every item was way overcooked, often burned and inedible. As advertised, I called to ask them to make it right. First time, I got my money back. Next time the employee argued with me. (“How dare I complain” attitude) A couple interim times, I didn’t bother to call. This last time I wrote, I asked them to re-create the order done right another night, no charge. I never heard back. In the meantime PJ’s moved their store closer to my home. I could now get delivery. I began ordering from them and have been thrilled with the results. Every order has been perfect—hot, cooked right every time, delicious, and super courteous and light delivery persons. Clearly, it’s a tightly-run ship with impeccable training. As a retired corporate executive, I’m impressed! Your loss, competitor!.Version: 4.41
Good but not 5 starsThe app is ok but could be a little easier to maneuver and order from. Don’t get me wrong I use this app to order at least a couple times a month and will continue too, but it’s not one that your first few ordering experiences you can wiz thru an order quickly. It one of the more time consuming online restaurants ordering apps that I personally feel like I use. I order dinner 4-5 times a week generally too because of my super busy schedule as a single mom of teenage daughters and I work full time as well as I’m a full time college student in my mid 40’s and have 3 online stores I sell in. Honestly I don’t order from Papa Johns as much as I would if it was less time consuming now to use and also if you do for some reason on your part stop in the middle of ordering for a few minutes it will glitch the app and you have to log all the way out and loose your order process and start over the order again from scratch. Just needs tweaked and some glitches worked they.Version: 4.38.1
Excellent AppI can summon food with out ever leaving my home or speaking to ANYBODY and now with no contact delivering I can get my food with out speaking to anybody, AND STILL TIP THE DIVER! Finally it is easy to enter promo codes (check the internet for the ones that work)!!! A cheaper order means I can tip the driver better. And while YMMV all of the local Papa John’s in my area have done a great job with Gluten free pizzas. My daughter has celiacs (diagnosed by a doctor after ALL THE TESTS, no 2 year old should have to go through a colonoscopy), and we’ve rolled the dice Many a time on Papa John’s gluten free in the 4 years since she has been diagnosed. The app always shows a warning, but in practice I’ve found (or rather my daughter’s super sensitive stomach has found) that they do a great job of making sure there is no cross contamination. Again your mileage may vary, and Pappa John’s includes a warning, they aren’t saying this, it’s just my experience..Version: 4.45
Great App, Super Customer Service-UPDATE: From 4 to 5 stars! You can now track the status of your order at any time, even after accidentally closing the app! Super! PJP is the only joint that has always gotten our pizza orders correct every time since I discovered them, it’s amazing. My only little gripe now is that whenever I pay for double pepperoni or whatever else topping, it’s not really double the amount :( plus the other toppings get a little skimped on, but the pizza ingredients are always fresh so we’re still happy customers. 🙏🏻💗 -ORIGINAL REVIEW: Easy, great, convenient app to use for ordering pizza. I love the ease of use! Just wish however, that for half and half pizzas, I could also do half and half for sauces as well (not just for toppings). Also, I just ordered using the app and was tracking it but accidentally swiped it closed. I reopened but it will not let me see/choose to continue tracking my order - it's already under "past orders." It just has me start all over again for a brand new order, as if I have no order currently pending. If not for this failure, I'd have rated this a full five stars. (If we could track our order status and location like DoorDash or Uber, let me, this app would be perfected.) Still, I recommend this app especially if you like Papa John's. You pay a few bucks less than using the DD app plus you rack up points for $$ off future orders. 👍.Version: 4.38.5
Love Papa John’sOnce a week I treat myself to Papa John’s. My favorite is the Hawaiian Pizza with pineapple and bacon but sometimes I switch it up; the Bar-B-Que Chicken Wings are delicious especially if they’re dipped in bleu cheese dressing. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, then one of the Papadias is an excellent choice and if you’re looking for something a little spicy then definitely go for the Jalapeño Poppers. I’ve had many different types of pizza with a whole array of fresh, mouth-watering toppings to choose from. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the varied selection of tasty appetizers as well. Now to the Desserts; I love all 3 of them. One night, I had friends over who decided at 10:45 pm that they wanted dessert. Everyone moaned and groaned when I offered them vanilla ice cream with whipped cream but nobody wanted to put their shoes on and go to the store, not that the nearest convenience store would’ve had anything spectacular for dessert anyway. So, guess what I did. I called Papa John’s and ordered 2 boxes of their scrumptious Fudge Brownies which arrived in about 15 minutes. Before they knew it, the friend’s were delighting in warm brownies topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup that I drizzled all over their bowls of delectable sweetness. Lo and behold, I found an unopened jar of Marachino Cherries that were supposed to have garnished the Piña Colada’s that never happened on Thanksgiving but now became the shining glory atop brownie sundaes courtesy of Papa John’s. The Staff and the Delivery People are great. They are all very polite and extremely friendly and helpful with any inquiries you may have. Let’s remember that these are the guy’s and girl’s that prepared and delivered our favorite foods and took good care of us throughout the Pandemic. Therefore, they deserve to be generously take care of in return whenever they deliver to us. As I’m sure that you all can tell, I am a very big fan of Papa John’s. Thank you, Kristen.Version: 4.51
No more Papa for meI’ve been a customer for decades before my most recent experience. Used them a thousand times with little trouble until… They apparently now use door dash for orders after 9pm that led to me getting a pizza that took from 9:20 pm (even thought the app said it was only a 30-45 minute wait) until 12:45 am on a work night. They closed at 11:00 pm, stopped answering the phones so my call kept me on hold until I hung up after 30 minutes, and the app wasn’t showing any info about delivery status so I had no idea about my order. So I went to the store as they closed (11pm) only to be told my pizza was in transit by a manager that looked 16 who also told me he had no power to do anything for me. I beat my pizza back to my house by 20 minutes and received a pizza that was cold, no garlic butter, and no pizza sauce with my breadsticks. I left my number for the GM the next day at the store and got no follow-up response from him. Lack of execution followed by lack of customer service is unacceptable..Version: 4.53
Mom's Fave AppTo simply call me a loyal customer would be a gross understatement. You see, I am a very busy working mother of three who - despite pangs of "I'm-a-horrible-mother" guilt - serves pizza quite often. Seriously... my average frequency probably works out to be at least twice per week (and that’s down from last year.) Yes, I know. It's very sad. However, in my rationale, pizza technically offers a balanced meal with all food groups represented. 👍🏽 Plus, the quality of the food is never an unknown variable — it’s Papa John’s! Anyway...the convenience of Papa John's app, the Rewards, & the fact they actually have DIET Mtn Dew on the menu makes it my usual go-to for pizza orders. I brag often and loudly to other moms & teachers that I can fix dinner from work using the future delivery time feature. Then, before you know it, I’ve earned free food — which I often use as incentives for my students, snacks for after school groups or a buffet for one of my teens’ parties..Version: 4.28.0
Papa John’s app reviewSorry to say the quality of your product isn't what it used to be. Back in the day the ingredients were almost to the edge of the pie. Now............ seems like they're getting stingy with everything! Sometimes there's maybe two pieces of peparoni on a large slice of pizza. Hardly enough! Also not usually enough cheese, which forces me to buy extra cheese. It sometimes doesn’t matter how I order my pizzas sliced - when they arrive they are sliced BOTH WAYS!!! At the same time. I like the pizza tracker. That is to say, I USED to like the pizza tracker. A few weeks ago we waited longer than expected. When I called to find out where my order was the lady on the phone said the tracker isn't accurate and she doesn't know why it's even offered online!!! I don't know either!! When our pies arrived they were barely warm. The delivery people are usually pleasant and friendly. All in all, it's getting to be more of an unsatisfying experience ordering from The Pappa, sorry to say 😢. Considering checking out the competition..Version: 4.31.1
Easiest app at order food I’ve ever used! This app is very easy to use. Truly the only way the order comes out wrong is that the person in the other end making the pizzas don’t know how to read, the delivery person gets lost (or eats the pizza on the way to you..😂) or the person using the app doesn’t know how to read correctly.. cause seriously this app is that easy! Love the way they designed it.. they made it very easy for you to choose how you want your pizza done, what the specials are, and beat part is this app doesn’t give you a headache trying to figure out how to do anything on the app. So simple a child could do make their own pizza how they want it. I’ve repeated how easy this app is because it’s just awesome that it’s that easy to do! Thank you Papa John’s designers for being brilliant! Also, it doesn’t freeze up like most apps do while in the middle of ordering!.Version: 4.43
Works good for meI’ve always ordered online and though the website worked good I often had little problems with it. I’ve now ordered several times on the app (iOS Apple iPhone 7) and have found it to work extremely well, (especially compared to so many other fast food apps which are hinky and/or completely useless)! It seamlessly grabbed my favorites from the website when I logged in. I found it very easy to modify my pizza toppings and choices as well as saving a new favorite. It was very easy to pay with my credit card and provide a tip as well. Lastly, the funny little follow my pizza function was right on and my pizzas arrived exactly as listed. I am hopeful the app will continue to function well. I just wish Papa Johns had Vegan Pizza AND choices on othercheese such as Goat Cheese or other non cow cheese available for those of us who are severely dairy allergic or like vegan pizza..Version: 4.29.0
Amazing User InterfacePapa Johns is not my favorite pizza place, but their app has such a good user interface that I just order it over other places because of their fantastic, convenient, and logical and going to other apps by other stores or even websites is so frustrating compared to this. Whoever made the UI for this app needs to make the UI for every app. I love being able to order off my phone during school (we have study hall right before lunch so I order it then) and our school laptops have credit card information websites blocked so you cannot order stuff off them. This creates a need for a good phone UI, and thank god for Papa J’s because without theirs UI I would have to eat the school lunch. This UI has improved my lunch for this year tenfold. Thank you papa for having a fantastic UI and good pizza. I order your good pizza over other pizza places amazing pizza, solely due to this apps convenience. Thank you!!! (11/10 -IGN).Version: 4.29.0
You know what after 15 years, why not?Like I said at this point, it doesn’t matter 15 years of pizza coming from an Italian anyways it’s not like I’m really ranting and raving about any chain pizzas… well that’s OK. I love Papa John’s breadsticks and cheese sticks and I’ve always thought they’ve had the best garlic so there’s that. Truth be told it’s not my favorite in all categories, but you know what I love and is a solid clutch 10 out of 10? I have never been jerked around by their app. It is always worked for me the points all of it no technical errors of any sort. Sometimes the hit like you can’t use the website or you can’t use app- or something doesn’t go right with another chain process but you know what I’ve just never had a problem logging in and getting done what I need to get done so this app is probably been the king of pizza apps in my life thanks Papa John’s !.Version: 4.85
Lost Papa DoughTried to Log In but couldn’t remember my password. So I tried to reset my password but the system said the there was no account tied to the email. I tried to make a new account, but then the system said the email I entered was already in use..Version: 4.74

Accessibility with VoiceOver is reduced in this versionHi I am extremely disappointed in this version of the app. The accessibility with voiceover is significantly reduced and it took me almost 20 minutes to place a simple order tonight. Please follow the proper accessibility conventions that Apple has published so that people who are blind can use your app effectively once again. Otherwise, I will be looking for a new pizza supplier..Version: 4.47.1
