Using at practiceMy teammate and I are using this app couple times a week now for 10 meter air rifle practice .We find it very useful . There is a nice video tutorial to get you started using .we would both like to see the iphone iPad data to be linked ,at present they are separate , not the biggest deal but would be nice .There is a good help section as well, you should read it as it is brief but accurate . The targets available are a bit pricey considering you would have to spend up front to even see what is available ,right now only 10 m both air and pistol , a 15 yard pistol and 50 yard one also one other I can't remember off top of my head, think a 25 . you do only get one session per target type as the other reviewer pointed out with the original purchase . Not such big deal but does make the app somewhat pricey overall. We have had no problems with stability it has worked flawlessly. There's a thermal viewer that is really neat wish you could print or send that data right now you can only view it but it is really boss. I have at least 3 or 4 other programs that I got for shooting from the apple store and this one I am using the most, thanks!!.MajorJoeyVersion: 6.0.0

TargetScanThis is a great tool for shooting. I am new to 10 meter pistol and it has already helped me by averaging my groups and making adjustments to my hold, trigger technique, and sight adjustments. The only difficulty I was having was to get the program to accurately count all the shots. Maybe I haven’t found it yet but the manual input seems to be all or none which is tedious. It would be nice to let it score what it can an let me add the missing ones. However the best trick is to download the app on an iPad and use it as a light box while taking the photo with your iPhone. I do recommend it..Kyle CokerVersion: 6.8.0

Easy and accurate scoringThis app makes it really easy to take a picture of your targets and then score them. I have used it for Air pistol, 22, and 45. Both indoor and outdoor targets. It does definitely help if you put a piece of white paper behind the target before you take the picture and make sure the target is as fully captured as possible. Maybe even a little extra border around the edge in the picture. I would love it if you could combine different target types into a group like three slow fire and six sustained fire to score a 900 match..ASG02324Version: 7.1.1

Scoring targets for pointsWorks great using an iPhone and a home made stand to score targets. Used solely on IBS Rimfire 50 Yard targets in competition and practice. Love the heat picture, provides a quick picture of what your aiming tendencies are. If the camera doesn’t get the correct read of the target, no problem just swipe the score to the left, position the target circle where it should be and the correct score is calculated. Great app, but needs better compatibility for NRA BullseyeBrilliant app, especially if you shoot ISSF disciplines. Unfortunately, it’s a bit clunky when trying to keep track of practice and matches for NRA Precision Pistol (aka “Bullseye”) because of the two different targets used at the two different distances shot (25 and 50 yards). If only it had the capability to record different targets together as a single scoring set while preserving all other functionality, I’d give it a five. Or, if the developers built a standalone NRA bullseye version with this functionality, they’d probably double their money, since a lot of NRA bullseye shooters also shoot ISSF disciplines and would likely buy both..BokudayoVersion: 5.10.0

Great appThis app is really nice and has potential to be outstanding. One thing is that the developer is very responsive and courteous with suggestions. I have other apps where you can never reach them or the respond slowly. So far I have had no issues with the performance of the app. Being able to edit the fine details of your shots is excellent. Huge time saverSimple and well-designed. I do 10-meter air pistol in my backyard and this app has become an essential element of my training to become a better shooter. Initially I was using low-quality targets i bought online from the “National Target” but these would produce tears instead of clean holes with my FAS 6004. Pro version is amazing!I find the analysis features of the Pro version to be a bargain that pays great dividends on a regular basis. I made a blue background screen for my laptop. The target scans are very accurate and the analyses made provides a variety of useful information. Product support is superb - usually a couple of hours - and replies are friendly and spot-on. Great appAs a new shooter, this app was exactly what I needed for keeping records of my range trips. The experience is simple and not over designed like some of the other ballistics apps out there; granted they are much more complex products. Scanning of a target is very accurate and I think I've only had to manually place shots about 1 out of 100 shots. Price seemed high compared to other apps, but since it's now part of my toolkit for range trips it has already paid itself off. Overall a solid base and it can only get better with more features. Great coaching toolI am a coach for the Meridian Optimist Junior Rifle Club. This makes scoring targets much easier than using plugs and adding scores up by hand. Excellent!We use this app to score ISSF air pistol, shot on Krueger targets. It is easy to use, and very reliable. The developer is very responsive. (We have been using the app since 2015, and thought we had reviewed it before now.) We would like to see the following two changes- 1- remove the tan background on the exported target report. It serves no purpose. 2- give users the ability to number each shot, after they are scanned. Excellent Target Scoring AppI was surprised with how accurately this app can score a target. Most of the time it picks up doubles and triples without a problem. You must tell it how many shots are on the target, and it will usually find that many. If you register a complete miss or shoot fewer than the specified number, it will likely score one of your shots as a double. In a few cases, there was a discrepancy between the score I found and the one Target Scan found, but upon rechecking, the Target Scan score was the correct one. The purchase price for TS is around $11, but if you want to keep your old scores and targets, you will need to make an in-app purchase of the Shooters Diary for about $7. Now you can keep daily records of your group radius and center of impact. It will even tell you how much you will need to adjust your sights to move your center of impact to the center of the target and how many points that would raise your score. Because this app has a specialized market, it costs a little more than you may be used to paying. Fewer potential customers means a bit higher price..JpaulKVersion: 3.16.1

Shooting Journal +Keep in mind I am writing this review from an International and Conventional Pistol Shooter perspective. I have been using this app to score air pistol targets. It is useful if you want to score them using the decimal system. It is fairly accurate and allow you to make adjustments if it is off. This app allows you to take detailed notes and keeps track of your different shooting sessions. It also gives you some analysis tools to improve your shooting and track your progress. This is not a Scatt or Noptel system which allow you to analyze your shooting before, during and after the shot. Overall this is a good appTargetScan is a good application for any shooter to track their scores and provide some basic metrics. As with any app there are upsides and downsides. Let's start with the upsides: The app is fairly easy to use and does a very good job detecting holes and getting the score right. It does work even better with a white or blue backer behind the target. There are a good number of targets supported across many disciplines. The downsides: It is slightly cumbersome to set target and course of fire. It would be fantastic if there were another option with preset courses of fire. Such as ISSF 50Meter 3x600 or 3x1200, NRA conventional Prone 1600. As well as being able to define a course of fire. Having multiple users via iTunes family sharing can cause some issues, one can overwrite the other etc. It is expensive for an app although as long as we continue to see it supported through newer OS versions then I feel it is a justifiable purchase especially when you look at it considering the cost of plugs, journals to maintain notes, and then storing your targets for reference. That said I would love to see additional metrics added as well as potentially an interface to dump data to import into external applications. I look forward to future updates. Well doneNew version is even better. No need to place the target in front of a laptop monitor. I lay the target on a sheet of white paper, take the picture and it very accurately counts the score. When I practice a 60 shot air pistol match I shoot 5 shots per approved ISSF target for a total of 12 targets. I take 12 consecutive pictures and click on done. I get my total score with x count as well as other statistics to help me determine if I am shooting in one particular direction from center. The result also shows every shot from all 12 targets on on one target. Well done !!!!! Great feedback but you NEED the in app purchase.You don't actually need the in app purchase, but it is quite limiting especially for having paid $10. I enjoy having a nice log that I can look at to see how I have improved over time and to help me further analyze my work. It is an easy and accurate way to find my score and if I disagree or it can't find the hole I can place it. My problem with this app is how it gives you free functionality when you pay for it and full when you pay even more in app. I believe it should have been more clear. I cant add more than one days of targets into a discipline to have it be more organized or compare. Love this app!Totally worth every penny. Compared it to the Orion Scanner at my club and it matched up with it 19/20 and then one that was wrong was because I messed up the picture. So for anyone that doesn't have electronic targets or an Orion scanner, this is worth every penny and it's fast too. It's already helped my offhand because I can see my trends and what I can improve on. When scanning targets just make sure it's well lit and has a good white paper behind the target. Works great!!This App works great. It is easy to use and gives you useful info on how you are doing. I use it on my iPad. It captures the shots and scores them automatically. I recently joined an adult Olympic-style shooting club, and I have been trying to improve my accuracy. Very cool!Initially it took a few try's to take a picture of the target properly but once you get the hang of it works great. Even scores a ragged hole where the 10 ring was (sometimes I get lucky). There is an in app purchase to unlock a journal feature that lets you compile a shooting history for a particular group of targets. Mine unlocked all the air pistol targets I believe. The developer is very responsive to emails and reports standard bullseye targets are on the way with .38 & .45 in the future. This app is great for keeping track of my sessions, with notes, analysis of basic performance, and tracking orogress over time. Works greatThis has made scoring my targets so much easier in 10 meter .177 air pistol and rifle competitions. I can also score practice sessions away from competition. I use my iPad 2 as the light table and score the sessions on my iPhone 4S, and then review them on the iPad later. Also able to keep a separate target file for each Airgun so I don't have to search through many files to find the one I want. Totally worth the moneyI just purchased and tried your application, it is just the application I have been looking for. I love it so far. The developer responds to questions in a timely manner which is great. I played around with the applications all weekend; with over 70 competition ISSF target shots and it worked each time. Works very wellMy 11yr old son and I both shoot 10m Olympic air pistol. This app is now part of his training and used weekly for our in home father son tournaments. Very accurate. I take the pictures with my iPhone and utilize the blue screen on the iPad. Works perfectly. I am not thrilled with the high price of per discipline. Great training appI use this app regularly to track my training with 10m air pistol. I just use a blank word document on my computer screen against which I place the target. I have found it to be more than 99% accurate. It's fast and easy to score targets. A most remarkable appThis is one of my favourite iOS apps. It makes calculating target scores instant and easy and it has allowed me to identify patterns in my target shooting that are not obvious when looking at individual targets. The analysis and scoring features are excellent. The App also allows me to keep a record of my gun sighting adjustments and see how these relate to patterns, groupings and scores. And the app allows export of shooting results via PDF to email. This is useful for coaching and analysis. Keeps losing training historyTechnically the app is excellent - my issue is with the programmers being inconsiderate of the users storing training history. The app has lost previous sessions twice now. Both times on an app upgrade. And nothing in the backup so I can recover the list sessions.
