Great but definitely could be better!Compared to previous versions of the app this is by far the best one but personally I think it would definitely be much better if a few things were changed on it. Even just the smallest changes could make it way better. Simplicity is key always. With this being said I think by making the main messenger screen less complex and having it to where you can go in the app and out quicker could have a great affect on everything including the ratings. Meaning having the Messenger App uncomplicated and more straight forward I know I would personally be happier with it and use it daily and as well as a good amount of individuals I know. Poor EthicsI have always hated the app from the moment i downloaded it, it is so frustrating to use and completely unnecessary as any other social media has a messaging tab already installed. i find it interesting that you NEED it to message people through FB, ig another way to profit off of and it makes it easier to grasp more people’s data through conversations. However I’m deleting for many other reasons. Far right censorship with Meta is absolutely bonkers among far more. Opened my eyes to it growing up with facebook and hearing for years about the fact Meta has been in multiple legal suits for foreign corruption, bias news involvement, selling data abroad and yet they were still so greatly popular. Can’t get around using instagram, facebook, messenger or any meta products anymore due to the lack of care for the users security, the users data leaks and data being sold internationally, and far right bias censoring of media. This is the one app that has the most security breaches of ANY app i have ever downloaded. I will not continue to give you any engagement, scrolls or any space on my phone. GratefulWell, I don’t like the person who owns this company at all. I think these rich mega megalomaniacs need to take a step backwards and start smelling the roses. Update please fix!I love messenger and how you can connect with your friends and family etc. However I’m not too fond with this new update because it’s easier to tell if someone has read your message by seeing their bubble next to your message, unfortunately that feature is removed :(. I also miss whenever I would go to look at pictures it was easier just to scroll down and see the pictures exchanged instead of going through the option “View Photos & Videos” it just looks kinda bland. Last but not least please change it back or at least improve it 😁 including the “search messages option” like make it to where we can the dates these messages were sent so there would be no confusion. No notifications for requests & stuck Facebook notificationsI don’t use messenger much, but am part of few community groups like Buy Nothing where group members use messenger to communicate details about where to pick up items Being given away. Unfortunately, at present there does not seem to be an option to allow messenger to notify you when a request to communicate through messenger is received or accepted. This means when someone genuinely wants an item, they may appear to be unresponsive because they don’t realize they have a messenger request to communicate. it would be nice to have an option to allow messenger notifications around requests to inform people who aren’t already connected with about requests. Also, there is a bug that is creating red badge notifications within Facebook when you have messages in messenger and reading the message does not clear the red dot notifications in Facebook. so far the only thing that clears it is uninstalling messenger, which is super annoying..GreenvinoVersion: 471.0.0

Normally I adore this appHowever, it's super irritating with this current version, that I can't play messenger games with people without it looking like I have an unread message from each individual because either them or I have made a move in the game. App badges would be enough for me, within the application. Separate the games notifications from the messenge notifications please! Badges on the game tab and that's it would be super nice. If I want to play games I'll go over there. But I'm actually losing messages in all these integrated game notifications... Facebook MessengerI've never really been a fan of messenger from when it was introduced. The practice of PM's directly to a member's page was stopped. I was told if I wanted to PM other members I had to download the messenger app. I use it mainly to communicate with my son when he's online. I do enjoy playing the bingo game, but I have issues with that. The timer seems much faster than normal. I think the count of the bingos I've had is off. This past weekend, their practice of showing ads for a few extra points has not been "available". This wouldn't be a big deal but, when it does come up, it pauses the game till you finish. Because it's "unavailable", you're unable to continue to that game, you can't complete the operation. How to turn off group chats?I have been using messenger for a very long time. It’s a good app for texting, calling, video chating, sharing pics, taking videos, and communicate with friends and family but my biggest pet peeve about the app is that we do not have options that allows us to turn off people adding you in a group. I have friends that aren’t super phone savvy and they will put me like over 20 group chats or more each day. I just think there should be option in the messenger settings to turn off people adding you in more group chats for those who do not want to use it. Also an option you can turn it back on if you do want to be added in more groups because I definitely can leave a group chat but if someone puts me in 20 more that doesn’t help leaving the group chat. Last two updates messed up my messenger!!! They Claim the objective was to make app. Smaller. rather they took a lot of it’s capabilities awaySince they continue with updates constantly. Convenient?!I have many friends living in other countries and this app make it very convenient to contact them. Great app!! On the other hand, the Apple Watch version of this application falls off the cliff. There is a complete disconnect with the iPhone application and Apple Watch’s application. The issue happens to be a prolonged loading-gate wheel that will last for days-on-end without the data populating from the phone to the watch. Fun. Quick. Easy to use.Surprisingly good quality phone calls. No where near as fascinating and incredible as Google Voice but FB can try and catch up? Emojis could be WAY better. FB should consider hiring the AT&T Q Messenger designer to upgrade to their interactive emojis. Occasionally at the call connection it can be difficult to hear initial greetings. Messages deletion issues/hacksI dislike the fact when deleting conversations or messages the other end can still read them. What’s the point of deleting if it’s not deleted on the other end? And there’s got to be ways to delete multiple messages at one time. That’s another big annoying tasks to do. I absolutely love the app, but…I really love Facebook messenger don’t get me wrong. It is my primary form of communication through social media, but no matter how hard I try to not let it bug me that I can no longer see if my messages deliver, I can’t help it. It’s been over a year since Apple took the little circle away when you send a message until that person views it and it’s still nerve racking to me. Especially with the fact that on Androids and at least some Windows PC’s, it still allows you to have the circle. Accessibility for the blind, or low vision, or x30 challengeThis skill is great, and I love it uses it daily. I just have a couple of critiques. It is mostly compatible for those of us in the world. Who are the vision or blind. Or have other physical impairments. However, there are a few things that you must have vision in order to use. Did not used to be this way in the earlier generations messenger it was 100% accessible and usable. Now it’s not. it’s 85% maybe 90% fully compatible. For those of us with low vision being forced to have to use eyesight to do features and functions while it’s not workable. Some of the command changes require greater levels of the x30 for those up as a bit of a challenge is difficult or outright impossible. Group chatsHi, Wondering why if FB owns WhatsApp why doesn’t the client behave the same in a group chat. If I am away from a group chat for a while in WhatsApp is picks up right where I left off when I comeback. Messenger keeps kicking me offFor the past three days messenger has literally been kicking me from the app nonstop. If I’m lucky I can get it to work enough for me to send maybe one message before it starts doing the same thing. I click the app to open it, it tries to open, then immediately shuts down. Over and over and over. And now when I do get into it, if it actually allows me to stay on the app, it no longer allows me access to my photos. I try to go to settings to allow access, but the app isn’t asking for permission in my settings. So I can’t even fix that. But I’m more concerned with the fact that I literally can’t get messenger to open unless I shut my phone off and on three or four times in a row. And when it does let me in, I know I have a limited amount of time before it does it again. Retrieve those important features on MessengerI noticed that a few useful features on Facebook and Messenger were removed these days. (1) The new update to bury the buyer’s profile icon from an order is disappointing and useless. (2)The notification of receiving orders from Messenger now is gone. (3)Messages from potential buyers on Messenger automatically disappear after turning off the app (or after a particular amount of offline time.) As a seller, I always reach out to my buyers for delivery of their packages and, at least, say thank you for their purchase. Now these important features, both online and on the app, were buried so that there’s no way to contact my buyers for that or for any shipping issues involving the orders, if that could possibly happen. Now the only way for me to contact my buyers is to raise a new conversation by typing their full names and looking into their profile images for recognizing if they’re the right person. But the problem is that the new message may or may not been seen by the buyer in time, because I’m not a friend of the buyer to raise the conversation, and the message may be treated as spam message and has notification to the buyer at all. It’s great, but…The app is great because of how often my mother has used it and it’s pretty good not going to lie! But once I downloaded it it was a disaster, I tried to make a account but I accidentally didn’t read one of the things they had to say so I pretty sure it was about synching the contacts so I didn’t read that and then when I was actually logged in I couldn’t search for my contacts because it said that “no results found” and my whole purpose of being on messaged was to talk to my family so now that was bulldozed by not being able to synch or search for my contacts. And I’m not able to make a new account because it said at the end about a Facebook account, and if I pressed that I didn’t have a account (which I didn’t) I would have to make one which I never asked for, nor wanted, so I was forced to get a account which I say this again… I NEVER WANTED, so then I just deleted the app whole because I NEVER wanted a Facebook account but I was forced to, I wasn’t able to get on messenger, and I just wish the sign up or log in was more simple. Terrible.I am totally blind and a voiceover user on an Apple iPhone. I have used messenger for many years and have been very thankful for it, but the last several updates have had the same issue. They were resolved until the next update, and then Messenger was broken again. I am still able to type in text fields and access various information in the app, but messenger jumps up to the previous page of messages and continuously reads down until it gets to the end. I can’t hit the back button to leave my current chat. Added back delivered status in ios messengerSince the latest messenger update for IOS, on the 15th March 2023 there is no delivered label just after I send a message. When I used to send a message to someone there use to be a transparent tick in a littel circle then once the message had been delivered to that person’s device. One terrible feature that MUST be fixedMessenger has, for perhaps 2+ years, had one extremely bad feature that apparently the entire internet is trying to figure out how to disable. Harassing Phone Calls Through Messanger AppThis app is very intrusive! There is no way to disable the constant phone calls you guys allow anyone on your friends list to send. New update is total garbageThey have changed a few things on this latest update and it feels like a step backwards in my opinion. First off... when my friends and I share location you can no longer see the their location without having to click on the map, then zooming in a lot farther than you ever should have to. Worst Service I Have Ever SeenI have never been more disappointed. I am a big Facebook Marketplace person and sell things all the time but I have had ONE CONSISTENT UNRESOLVED PROBLEM. Can’t LoginFor the past month, I haven’t been able to log into my account on Messenger. I’ve reported the problem twice through Facebook with no feedback. Disappointed customerI am a regular shopper at the Water tower Schnucks in Arnold, MO. Usually, the checkers and other staff are great. However, today that was not the case. Bugs in the systemRight now I am currently not thrilled with the messenger application I use in order to be able to communicate with family and friends due to the fact that I have family all over the entire world and friends as well. New update looks really badMost of the people I’ve seen have just been complaining so I’m going to try and make this review at least a little helpful. This new update has so much wasted space. Just yesterday the formatting was pretty much perfect from a design standpoint, but now there is so much unused white space at the top of the screen. Even just the word “Chats” takes up so much unnecessary space which previously encompassed everything that wasn’t actual chats (like stories and your profile info. Facebook needs to redesign all of its messaging appsI honestly can’t understand how they allow so many bugs and glitches in this app to go on and on forever. For starters, if you accidentally add a theme and emoji to a group chat, everyone gets notified. But then you can’t remove themes. You can only CHANGE to another theme. Who programmed this app?
