AwfulThe app is working very bad, you can’t see the car if it’s coming or not. App doesn’t show correctly your actual location and not shows right location of your destination. All the time drivers choose the longest way to your destination. Most of the drivers are from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. I had an episode when the driver was going the opposite way I needed and when I started to complain about it he blocked the doors and asked for more money. MisleadingThe app is ok but I have a bone to pick with the newest feature added - it seems to be disallowing usage with vpn active. Every time I try to order taxi with apple pay it deadlocks by requiring user input on modal about “unsecure” (yeah, I’m gonna be judge of that) connection below apple pay modal, which seems to be waiting for modal. This suggests apparent lack of qa or maybe malicious intent. But I’m not even mad about that, but the fact that taxi app seems to have taken responsibility to police my connection on my own device? Work great for our stay in RussiaIf the app won’t process your Card or Apple Pay it’s because it can’t connect to the server. If you’re on WiFi it will connect and you can use the credit card or Apple Pay feature after the first connection. Ignorance of drivers during pandemicI’ve been using Yandex for a while now and I’m really disappointed with the ignorance I see from the side of drivers during this pandemic. If I would not comment that I need from driver to wear a mask, then there’s a 99% chance that he wouldn’t. Even if I do write a comment there’s still no guarantee that the mask would be on. Works with a credit cards in only about 50% casesIt is ok when it works. It does not work with credit cards on every level other day. And it happens when you are already riding in the taxi, switching payment method to cash - not cool at all. Same via Apple Pay.

Credit cards and faresBeware if you’re not Russian: the app only accepts credit cards linked to Russian banks. If you link a foreign card (like my U.S. cards), it’ll tell you they’re linked for payment but then tell you mid-ride that the card doesn’t work and you’ll need to pay cash. So carry cash! Also, multiple times did the fare I was quoted shoot up by an extra couple hundred rubles mid-ride. Don’t download this appI had an incredibly unpleasant experience with this food delivery app. From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The customer service was abysmal, the delivery was late, and the overall attitude was unprofessional. The worst part was the behavior of the courier guy. Not only was he rude and aggressive on the phone, but he also hung up on me multiple times. When I tried to explain an address mistake, instead of helping, he yelled at me and demanded I correct it immediately. Even when I reached out to their support team for assistance, they were unable to provide any meaningful help. To make matters worse, they cancelled my order without my consent, leaving me unable to pay cash as I had originally planned. It's utterly disappointing that in a country where cash payment is common, they couldn't accommodate it properly. Additionally, it's worth noting that they cannot speak English, which makes communication even more challenging. I strongly advise against downloading this app or ordering from them. Works…sometimesI’ve attempted to use this app 6 times now as a tourist. Twice the driver failed to show up and appears stopped along the way. Once, the driver didn’t show up but started the ride anyway. Obvious scam. Once, I waited several minutes, driver was coming, then he texted me in Serbian asking ME to cancel. Twice it worked, though one of those times I had to go find the car on another street. The app itself is lame and isn’t gps accurate like U in connecting you with the driver. It also doesn’t translate driver messages into your language. And setting it to English is difficult unless you read Serbian. My impression is that the drivers use Yandex as a last resort, ie when there’s not another fare at the time. And they are quick to abandon Yandex when something better comes along,even if that’s on the way to get you. The worst customer service everIt doesn’t deserve even 1 star. I was charged wrong amount and I had to call customer service to get that charge adjusted. They couldn’t help me by phone so I sent request to a specialist. In a week I got an answer by email but it didn’t actually mean anything, it was not helpful, kinda “sorry for the inconvenience” but the price was not adjusted.
So I called again, sent another request which was not answered at all. After all I called 3d time and asked to talk to a specialist or customer service manager. I was told that they don’t have that kind of service. What do you mean “don’t have”???? It’s ridiculous, they asked me to wait 2 more days for specialist to call me... and it’s been 2 weeks since I called last time. Bad bad bad ugly service!!!! Be careful using the servicesOn our last ride in Yerevan from the hotel to the airport we ordered a Yandex cab and selected the cash payment option to spend the remaining local currency we had left instead of the credit card payment. On arrival at the airport the driver demanded payment of ten times the agreed price by just adding a zero to it. As he wouldn’t let us leave (noting that he didn’t drop us at the airport but outside the parking area) we paid him what he was asking for to make our flight back home. Raising PricesI will stop using this service since they have taken extra money from my account and claim they have returned it but I have not received anything back. This is completely unacceptable.
The service also takes advantage of the prices. Sadly, the taxi’s parked outside waiting to pick up clients are cheaper now than ordering a taxi. The rate can change every second. Terrible option for international TravelersI am an Indian national. As soon as I landed in St Petersburg, I downloaded the Yandex app and tried to register with my Indian cell phone, which did not work. After that, I bought a Russian sim card, and thankfully, the app started working. The problems didn't end there. Fix bugAfter you updated it to so called “GO” launching, this app is not functioning as it was before that GO launch. Drivers took cash and cardWe ordered a few times didn’t realize that there wasn’t a cash option. We just realized that we have been giving cash to the delivery guys who didn’t tell us “no we don’t accept cash”. They just took the money and we were charged by card as well. Modern day Russian rouletteAfter about 50 or more Yandex taxi rides, I can say there is about a 70% chance you will get a driver who has no regard for passenger safety. I’ve been in too many close calls over the years with these drivers.
Things like rapidly weaving between lanes without a signal, speeding, trying to pass a car on the left and driving up on the sidewalk, near collisions, aggressive accelerating and braking are all commonplace.
There are some good drivers and the app works decent though. I think Yandex needs to do a better job of vetting drivers. Or investing time in training the drivers they get who haven’t had a proper driving education.

МонополистыНаглядный пример того что бывает, если агрессивно выдавить всех конкурентов с рынка. Сервис подняли, но положили болт на его доработку (и тааааак сойдет). Средства за услуги списывают, а саму услугу не предоставляют (какие деньги? Мы ничего не знаем, мы котики и у нас лапки). Служба поддержки поддерживает морально, но не решает вопросы (ваши проблемы это ваши проблемы, мы просто зарабатываем деньги. ВсеГо ХороШего!).
Да и в целом у (xy)Яндекса сервис мягко говоря на дне. Музыка будто из тех времен, когда приходилось записывать треки на диктофон, чтобы послушать. Кинозал можно смело переименовывать в кинопогреб, фильмов толком нет, а те что есть перецензурены по самые титры. Есть еще что добавить про такси, доставку и тд, но первые три пункта в общих чертах все описывают.

Такси уезжает без меняСовершенно странная история уже второй раз - таксист просто уезжает, в первый раз видимо таксист взял кого то еще, но поездка по приложению началась, потерял время на отмену и ожидание другого таксиста.
Позавчера заказывал заранее такси ко времени - таксист приехал вовремя и от передумал и решил уехать, не отменив поездку, благодаря чему опоздал на мероприятие.
Поддержка отвечает скриптами, хотя бы деньги списанные за поездку без меня, вернули.
