Useful to fix winmail.dat attachments in Evernote by pembery
I am currently blighted by winmail.dat attachments in Evernote. I can now open the winmail.dat attachment with this app from within Evernote and the open the "proper" attachment back into Evernote (and save it) with just a couple of clicks. Especially useful when a PDF is wrapped into a winmail.dat.

Please note that, there is no need to open the application directly by tapping on application icon on device. ON installation, It get registered as an addon for mail application, you just need to tap on winmaildat attachment in your email which will the open the application with the content of your attachment.
Here are the Help Instructions:
1) Open up the email and touch on the icon of the winmail.dat file.
2) You will see the "Open in Winmail.dat Viewer" screen using a short tap; if not then keep touching the icon till the whole box darkens.
3) Once you keep touching the icon (on left side) itself, after a couple of seconds, a 2-choice menu pops up from the bottom.
4) Click on - "Open in Winmail.dat Viewer" app. The winmail.dat file will then open, showing the attachments inside.
You can perform following on contents on winmail.dat attachment
- Saving image file in Camera role folder, in photo album
- Share image using twitter, Facebook, weibo
- Assign image to contact
- forwarding opened files/documents using mail
- Printing documents
- opening single files in external applications
- Copy files on clipboard

This application allows you to view and extract contents of those winmail.dat messages (which are TNEF-encoded messages) in flawless way.

Required rebootMy iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 required a reboot before this app began to function as described. This should be suggested boldly in the description, and the app should come with easily accessible help and instructions, but in my case, it DOES work as advertised, and very well. Great product - Works superb on my iPhone & iPadI'm very happy with this purchase. Someone had sent me an email with a Winmail.dat file attachment and I couldn't figure out how to open it. A quick Google search showed enlightened me as to what Winmail.dat files are and than a quick trip to the iTunes Store and a review of different iOS apps claiming to open these types of files ensued. I noted that this iOS app was recently updated and that was a big plus for me since if one updates their iOS hardware to newer iOS operating systems (e.g., iOS 7 to iOS 8 or to iOS 9, etc.) than it is imperative that the iOS developer in question updates their iOS software otherwise it may not work in the newer iOS operating system. I purchased this and it works superbly on my iPhone 5, iPad Air and iPad 2 devices. Not only that, once I open up the emailed Winmail.dat file using this iOS app I can than "export the file" to a "different" iOS app, e.g., an iOS Office app, etc. That too has worked superbly. For 99 cents this is a no brainer. One purchase and it works on all my iOS hardware devices just as it is advertised and should. I wish I could say the same for all the other IOS apps I have purchased..Version: 4.4
