Many Years!For many years, I have been going to Wendy’s! When I would ride around with my dad who was a contractor for construction, we would always stop at Wendy’s and he would order “single cheese and everything” for both of us and if I didn’t finish mine he would finish it but 9 out of 10 times even as a little kid I would finish mine! The chili is the best! The hot sauce that goes in it is my favorite, which I can eat out of the package and I have :-) I worked at Wendy’s in high school because I loved it so much and then got to see from behind-the-scenes, why it is so great! Fresh hamburger meat, never frozen, freshly cooked all day, and when the meat would get well done it would be put in a bin and that’s what was used in the chili. Never wasting! Fresh baked potatoes, right there that we would wash and wrap and bake ourselves!! And the way they did everything and taught us to care about our jobs and the food that we served is why it’s such an amazing restaurant that will last forever!

Needs improvementDoes the app have location sharing so the restaurant will know when you get there?? If it does, I didn’t see it. Or.. the app needs to have a button to click, saying, “I’m here” so they can finish up the order. I waited in drive-through line for a while and when I got to the window. I was advised that my order was being prepared fresh.. that took a while longer. When you order “fast food”, that is often why you choose it- so you can get it fast and go. Also, perhaps I missed it but I did not see an option on the app to get my order curbside so I decided if I did end up having to wait, I’d rather wait in my driver seat than stand or sit in the lobby. Interestingly, I did see some parking spaces labeled “curbside” but there were no numbers on the signs. My order persists in the app after I claim it.1. A week or two went by after I last used the app for Wendy’s. I went to create an order but it believed I still needed to pick up the last order. I canceled and it said I couldn’t because I already paid. But it correctly cleared the order so I could make a new order. This routine happened again. The old order just doesn’t disappear on its own. I don’t know if the restaurant should flag my order as claimed or if the app should eventually clear the order. This is a nuisance as it is now.
2. This app sent a pop-up asking if I wanted to leave feedback. I wanted to, but I had to cancel the pop-up because it was obscuring my pickup information while I was approaching the pickup window. Later, I looked in the app to leave feedback. The ‘Contact Us’ section did not allow for app feedback, just feedback to the restaurant.
3. The app should allow a customer to specify changes to utensils and condiments. For example, it should assume 1 spoon and 1 hot sauce for my chili but I could lower it to 0 spoons and 0 hot sauces. WorthlessI have no idea if the app is good or not because apparently there isn’t a password that’s good enough for me to use to order fast food. I tried so many crazy passwords and each time fulfilled all of the listed requirements, double and triple checked to make sure I had everything required and each time was told what I chose wouldn’t work. So that’s why this app is “worthless” to me because I literally cannot use it. I’ve tried contacting them, no response, I tried deleting the app and downloading it again, and nothing has worked so far. Several of the closest Wendy’s to me are only taking mobile orders because of staffing issues so this app being completely useless has kept me from eating at Wendy’s for months. Terrible AppI added money to the app so I can place my order, pay for it, and someone to pick it up since I got hurt. I placed the order and paid in the app with the $50 I put in there. My cousin went to pick it up for me and was told the payment did not went through. I told her the payment number for the app and it didn’t went through. I had to send the money to my cousin in order to repay for food already paid in the app. This happened two more times. After the second time I chatted with an agent whom saw that everything was correct on my end and sent the information and proof to management of my local Wendy’s. I got scammed from a Wendy’s app?!Ive been using this app consistently to order my food for the past 7 months or so. Today I went to order food and selected the Wendy's I was standing right in front of. I submitted my order and waited for my order to come out. I had selected the pickup time “ASAP” so I was surprised when my order didn’t even show up on the monitor. After looking back on the app it said that my order was ready and it was at a completely different location! Why would you not make us aware?Since the line for drive thru is excessively long, we parked and walked to go inside and order directly from dining room. However, we just wasted time and let five more cars get in front of us because the dining room is closed! A big sign stating that access to the interior is closed would be a good way to ensure that your customers go through drive thru instead of being aggravated and leaving without any food whatsoever.
So we went through drive thru and ordered a large frosty, two burgers with only onions, two large fries and a six piece spicy nuggets. We were given a small frosty like tiny kiddie size, one fry and one burger. To say this was a disappointment and unsatisfactory is an understatement. We love Wendy’s and we’re excited to be getting our little treat for a relaxing evening. But nope, not even close and so aggravated that we didn’t get what we ordered or wanted. In order to fix what the employees screwed up, we would have had to get back at the end of the drive thru line, wait for all the cars ahead of us while the half of the order we did receive got colder than the cool temperatures they served it to us at. I’m actually sad and don’t know if I will be going back to Wendy’s. The employee was rude and when we tried to check everything before pulling off, she rushed us and told us to pull ahead if we had a problem. Whenever something happens at the store, the Burger King/jack in the box apps are the least responsive, you’ll have to play email tag with them for days to weeks and might get nowhere. Jack in the box solution is to go to there stores cause they never just refund your money for a missing item or something wrong, lost out on reward points cause they made a mistake? Too Bad.
The Wendy’s app gets you a response in 24 hours, either text/email but you get that feeling that there’s definitely one person you’re talking to and not going through a chain of command or a team. The silver spoon of fast food.I like that if I accidentally make a mobile order at the wrong Wendy’s and have even submitted it, that I am still able to change my order, and choose the correct location, without getting two charges!

Worst fast food app everI stopped using it in 2021 because it never worked with my local Wendy's, but it's been a year now so I figured I'd give it another try. No difference, in fact in one way it's worse. I had an offer for $4 off a $20 order. I entered my items then went to check out the app said I was short on the $20, but the dollar amount shown was $0, so I had no idea if I was $0.05 short or $5 short. I had to exit the checkout and look at each item individually and add it all up, that sucked. I placed my order, was told it was paid for, and gave me my Order I.D. When I got to Wendy's they never received my order, questioned that I placed it, and doubted that I paid for it. Then they tell me that they don't have all of the items for my order (not an app problem, but still annoying). This is why I deleted the app in 2021, every time I placed the order and went to Wendy's they had a different excuse for why they didn't have my order: network was down, order came through but there were no items on it, my order I.D. didn't match the order they had (they only had one mobile order at that time). Finally, I went into the Contact Us section of the app and went to Leave Feedback, the feedback page never opened. I tried several time, tried closing the app, tried deleting and reinstalling the app, could never get the feedback page to open. I'm guessing that way they never get any negative feedback so they are happy. The app it trash, and it soon will be.
UPDATE: After the response from Wendy's I called their number, there were 6 options, the request didn't specify which option, so I chose #6, they had no idea about why I was calling and had no access to the app reviews. They did take down the location and were going to forward my complaint onto them. They felt it might be the network in the location, but that doesn't explain why they seem to get orders from food delivery services, but not from Wendy's app. I'm not holding out much hope for a resolution, but will wait a few months before trying again..PaHikerVersion: 9.2.6
Salad ordering problemsI’ve ordered a variety of salads via this app from different Wendy’s nearby. The order I end up with never is correct even thought the extras such as almonds, roasted pecans, crispy onions are all listed on my receipt. Part of the problem, for example, is when I order the pomegranate dressing, it doesn’t delete the Champaign dressing and I end up with both and only use the one. The app lets you choose how many packages of almonds or pecans but when I’ve ordered 2, I’ve never gotten more than one. This also happens when I order 2 sour creams for a baked potato, I usually always get one. Perhaps a checklist of the order needs to be printed out for employees to follow? Re-educate?

Tough app to use but does have nice food dealsI think this app is too complicated for the average person to use. I tried to buy a digital frosty key tag today. First I couldn’t find the offer. Then I finally found it with two options, physical card or digital. Sounds great! However when I checked out with the digital option, I still had to go to a store to pick up the physical card. At least that’s what my store told me when I called to get them to release the digital order. They had never heard of digital key tags. Come on, Wendy’s, don’t roll stuff out without training your staff! You need to let the digital key tag frosty offer work in addition to other deals too. Throw us a bone here! The jr frosty isn’t the deal, it should be lagniappe.
Anyway, to anyone reading this, you have to get and use this app so Wendy’s will continue to invest in it. The app is great when it worksI couldn’t order. It wouldn’t let me use Apple Pay(my preferred method). It wouldn’t let me use the card I already have saved. The options were all grayed out and unresponsive. I go out of the order and then back into the checkout screen. I manually typed in my card information. I hit submit and it just sat there and didn’t do anything. It doesn’t put the card information in and it doesn’t proceed with the order. I went back out of the screen again and suddenly Apple Pay lights up. I used it only for it to say, “There was an error” and refund the money immediately.
I go back out and then try to put my card information in again. It says that there was a problem. I go back out, then go back into the checkout screen. Finally, FINALLY it let me use Apple Pay. I haven’t had that much trouble trying to put in a food order on an app in a long time. All these places are constantly saying, “Do you have our app? Hope you never have a problem, because good luck getting a refundWendy’s order service is run through DoorDash on a recent experience DoorDash was unable to deliver the order until 2 hours later. The food was cold, I complained, they gave me a refund that was to be processed by Wendy’s in 10-12 days. On day 14 I followed up-still no refund. I called and they made a note to escalate. I didn’t hear anything and called three days later. They further escalated and said Wendy’s has the money to refund from DoorDash but they need to process it. I asked them to escalate. They said they would and documented it. The same day I called Wendy’s customer support to make a claim. They said they would escalate it to their supervisor. A week later I called both DoorDash and Wendy’s back. Still no refund. DoorDash (not exactly well known for great customer service) actually realized how terrible this was and spent 35 minutes getting someone from Wendy’s on the phone to chat. You would imagine at this point Wendy’s would do something. NOPE! All they can do is escalate again. Mind you DoorDash already gave them the money to refund. I got hung up on because I refused to take another escalation (it has been a month since the initial order). I called back Wendy’s directly. Got “a guarantee” they are taking it seriously. Spare me. I LOVE WENDYS BUT HATE THE APP!!I’ve been a consistent Wendy’s customer since 2018. I love Wendy’s, but ordering on the app makes my blood boil most of the time. The app has so so many bugs and issues, it makes it very difficult to use and place my mobile orders on. I really like the rewards system but if I can’t mobile order, I end up not getting my points which is super frustrating considering I go to Wendy’s frequently. The app always logs me out of my account despite using it often, and lots of times it shows an error message when I try and choose a location. No locations show up and when I try to look one up, it spams the error message. I’ve also had issues with applying offers with the error message coming up when I try to add an offer to my order. Overall, I’ve had so many problems with mobile ordering on the app as lots of error messages come up, and I end up having to delete the app and redownload. But, I am considering never redownloading after this time and giving up on mobile ordering even though it is most ideal for me because the errors and bugs are very frustrating to deal with. Please fix the bugs with your app!! PLEASE. I guarantee you would have so much more business if you fixed the Wendy’s app as I’ve talked to other customers about the app glitches and problems as well, and it seems to deter them from going to Wendy’s too. Useless app, waste of space and time. Missing rewardsApp have so many bugs, the rewards dissappear and when reported it they act like I bought too much and I can only get so many 🤷🏻♀️, log me out every time after I use it, today I can’t even get on the app because when I click accept the term after done reading, the gear icon spin for a bit then stops and nothing happen, closed the app try again nothing, uninstall and reinstall and same issue, I don’t need such waste of space on my phone collected so many reward but as today I had less than 100 because they remove them as they wish. So today spouse wanted wendys I felt bad and try again, download the app, and again the terms and privacy acceptance option wouldn't work, close the app and open it again and I was able to get in my account, took the time to add what I wanted, ask and forced me to saved my card on their server in order to buy, I did that, for then the stupid cart wouldn't load the subtotal and final total to checkout, it said failed to load proposed order, 🤦🏻♀️so guess what? App not working as indicatedWe made a mobile order claiming T-Mobile offer with any purchase on 3/1 around 8:30 am to pickup at 9:45 am. Payment was processed successfully and got receipt. At the store, waited for 10 mins from 9:45 am in front of the counter side since the mobile pickup area was empty. At the counter side, the store person was busy preparing orders as it comes into the system. He never bothers to ask about my order details. Finally, a lady who returned back to work saw me and enquired my order details. She couldn’t find it in the system. She called another lady and discussed. Again verified and noted the order wasn’t present. So both went back to the busy guy. He looked at and found nothing. At this moment, he said we can’t do anything about your order since it wasn’t in the system. I told and showed it’s your official app receipt and asked for the next steps. He keeps denying saying that he can’t do anything and claimed your payment might not gone through. So I opened up my bank app and showed the payment been processed successfully. He started abusing that I don’t like the mobile app and told not to use the app anymore. It was a pretty awkward to argue for a few dollars. Finally, in spite of showing the official receipt, he said as a curtesy he will get me the order processed. When I attempt to use their live chat in the mobile, it never comeback at all. Removing offersI’ll like to start this off by saying this is my first ever review, I understand that apps may have problems but the Wendy’s app is ridiculous. First of all let me say the app for some reason doesn’t want to work whenever you pull into any Wendy’s location. Then if you do finally get it to load it’ll make you sign into the app or start a new account and by the time you get everything worked out your probably at the front of the line with no time to view their offers which for all the fast food apps is pretty much the worst. But the main issue and my reason for writing this and leaving a one star review (would have been worse if I could) is that when you do finally have everything running and find a decent offer it will disappear on you. The app will restart and when you scroll to offers and try to look for the offer you just had pulled up and made your order around. So now you have to cancel the order and waste food and time or pay full price for something you expected to be less then what it really is. To be totally clear I didn’t even get to use the offer it just completely disappeared from the app without warning. I feel like they are giving you false promises so you’ll be happy then rip away from you so you have to pay for something you wouldn’t regally get. Location closest to me ALWAYS says dining room, AND drive-thru are closed using app.As I went to the drive-thru just now to order two items, I was telling my wife how annoying this app is because the people at the speaker want you to tell them your INITIALS instead of your NAME like McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, Chik-Fil-A…..and pretty much EVERY other mobile fast food app!! Never againOrdered on the app thinking the food would be made and ready for me when I drive there as I already paid in the app there is nothing else to do when I get there. I drive there for 5 mins and when I get there I go to the drive thru window and sit there. Not long there comes a person to the first window I was at and I said “I have a mobile order”, she tells me that “I need to go back and pull around to the speaker not the window”, the Wendy’s is a 1 way drive thru on a highway exit (713 York Rd
Kings Mountain, NC) and so I do a full circle around the Wendy’s while trying to dodge traffic to get back to the speaker in the drive thru for the same person that was just at the window to speak to me, I tell them the same exact thing I did at the window and she tells me to “pull up”, I tell her that “the window person told me to go to the speaker not the window” and she told me that this way they know that you are actually going to be getting the food and they can actually start making the food now since I am at the restaurant. Every other food ordering app makes sure the food is hot and ready when I get to the place but no Wendy’s app has to do it different than everyone else.
In he app I selected large meal in the app and when I put my coffee in it changed it to a small not a large coffee but the fries were a large that’s not a large meal that’s half large meal but I still paid full price for the large meal, fries were cold and stale when I got them, I will be uninstalling this god forsaken garbage money hungry app it’s just better to order food to your house you don’t have to risk your life trying to get it and they give you better rewards and deals. 1.5/10.Austen0312Version: 11.37.1
Horrible App! Bad Customer Service!I ordered through their app and when I got to the restaurant, I was unable to check in. I kept getting an error message. I went to the front to ask them to prepare my order and to report the issue. The worker rudely stated that she couldn’t help me and called for the next customer while I was standing there. I was then told that I had to place the order with them directly and pay again. When I mentioned that I would need a refund for the mobile app order, they stated that I had to contact Wendy’s customer service for the refund and that they had nothing to do with the mobile app order. I decided to leave the restaurant and get nothing because I found them to be rude and unhelpful. When I contacted Wendy’s customer service, they told me that the manager at the store would have had to refund me and that they cannot give refunds to customers. They sent a message to the manager at the location and stated that they will contact me when they can. What does that mean? Who refunds customers when the mobile app decides to mess up. The store or Wendy’s customer service? Regardless I’m going to contact my credit card company to reverse the charge. WENDY’S JUST STOLE MY MONEY!!!I placed an order on the app for a combo and a frosty in place of the drink. When I got to the window I was informed that they were out of frosties and offered another option. I no longer drink sodas or juice and I already had water. I asked to just be charged for the sandwich and the fries and was told that they didn’t know how to do this, but to place the order again. I asked them to refund the first order and I would just place a new order without a drink and was told there was no way to do this. I asked for the manager and was informed that he was the manager. I asked for the store manager or general manager’s info and was informed that he does not know who that is. After going back and forth, I left the restaurant with NO REFUND AND NO FOOD. I got home and pulled up the app to locate some type of contact information for assistance. In the process of doing this, I went back to the order screen which I noticed had a cancel order link at the bottom. I clicked on it, only to receive an error message that the order could not be cancelled because it had already been processed. Wendy’s took my money and rendered NO GOODS. No AccountabilityFirst time using this app, I ordered over $30 worth of food for our dinner one night, and included a generous tip of $10. So what did I get for my money? I got ripped off. The app tracks the driver, and even gave me his user name and cell#. I noticed that my food didn’t get delivered until about 40 minutes after he picked it up, even though he seemed to stalled at the same location in my neighborhood for about 25 minutes. It also seemed strange that the driver never uttered a word, never even looked me in the eye. But after he left, I realized that he stole some items from my order, but by then the driver information was no longer retrievable from the app. Since the app didn’t have any way to contact the food delivery service, I called the Wendy’s location to report it. And of course, since they have no connection to the 3rd party delivery service, they simply stated that it “Wasn’t their problem” and offered absolutely NO suggestion as to who I could call, or what I should do next. So I did the next best thing. I contacted my credit card customer service to report this sham of an operation. I stated that I expected to only pay for the items that I actually received as if I went through the drive-through myself, No delivery fee, No tip, No extra service fees, No charges for items that were missing. They promptly deducted $24 from the more than $40 that I was initially charged. I was initially willing to pay for the convenience of having dinner delivered, but now I know better. You had me in the first half…I think if you wanna use this app stick to using it for instore/ drive thru pick ups only. The point system is pretty decent and they offer ok coupons at times. I personally haven’t experienced the bug and crashing problems others have but my issue with this app came when I started using it for delivery.
I started using it for delivery cause it was significantly cheaper than going directly thru DoorDash or Uber eats cause of the points and coupons and cheaper overall prices but the third time I used it for delivery they did me dirty. I order breakfast(I was so ready to try to French toast sticks😪)and waited for over an hour. Had two separate drivers just for the order to be canceled and for me to have no way to figure out why or how to get a refund thru the app. The live chat never works it always says I’m first in line but an agent never enters the chat. I’ve even waited a full 30 minutes just to see if it was really just for show, and it is. If you call you will be on hold for 30 days and 30 nights. I even emailed TWICE and have yet to get a response.

No goodI used this app before today to get free delivery and waited then 30 mins later it said it was canceled. Nice when kids are all waiting to eat lunch. No explaination…only that it was canceled. Called the store and they said it was canceled and blamed it on DoorDash yet I didn’t get it from doordash’s app I got it from Wendy’s app.
Then today when trying to order my prior order and it never saved on app so I put my order in the cart randomly getting these little pop up errors (“Error We're sorry, an error was detected.” when just going into food to edit or add, just viewing items in cart, etc. So I decided to favorite each meal plus the whole order just to ensure I didn’t lose my order. Then I go to add one more thing, then it cleared my entire order (6 different meals). I went under favorites to see if they were there and nothing is there. Ugh this thing is a pain. Not sure how it got such good reviews.
Two more things to find menu then location and it was just spinning where it had their little food image on the screen with the bar going across repeatedly. Lost my pointsI downloaded the app in June and started collecting points. I created my account using through Google and would always login through Google. One day in August, I could not login through Google but I was able to enter an email address, so I entered my gmail (which is associated with my Google sign in that used to create the account). It took me through the process of creating a new account, and now I have a new account with the same email address I had before, but now I have no points.
I thought maybe I had created two different accounts and wanted to find the points I had earned, but when I raised this concern with customer care they informed me that I could not have two accounts with the same email address. So I then sent screenshots of emails, because for some reason they wouldn’t let me forward them, showing the welcome emails I received from the same address in June and in August. I was then told that because my email address was the same, I must have deleted my account and created a new one. I explained to them that I did not intentionally delete my account, and I have no idea what I might have done to accidentally delete my account, so could I get my points back, or at least some point back. Or was it possible that they accidentally deleted my account? Customer care had zero empathy for the situation and ultimately responded with “Points and rewards are non transferable. The only other way for your account to be deleted was by yourself. Have a great rest of your day!” At least they wished me a great rest of my day, so I got that going for me…which is nice. App not user friendlyOk. First off I’d like to shout out to my lovely wife who is a product manager. She’s been in different industries and has a good eye for what needs to be fixed. Let me know if you need a good product manager. That said here are my thoughts as a consumer. Opening page. It’s very busy. Home Screen shows takis special which is fine but then underneath goes to my offers. Just increase the size of the buttons at bottom of the app to pop out more. This way you take the offers off the main page and replace the order button with the word menu and make this button bigger than the others. The find link in top right should be called location. Or even have location and menu buttons side by side and large enough so I don’t accidentally hit one fobs the other. Remember you are fast food so it’s all about speed for the customer. Worst Fast Food AppI have apps for all the fast food restaurants in my area and this is the absolute worst.
The first time I used this app I placed my order and paid and when I arrived to the restaurant to pick up my order they told me they don’t accept mobile orders. How?? Get yourself together Wendy’s. Obviously if a location is not taking mobile orders I should not have been able to place a mobile order for that location. Fortunately the staff were kind and understanding and I was able to get my meal without having to pay twice.
Since then, I’ve been able to use this app successfully only one time. Every other time there have been errors that occur and prevent me from checking out. Today there was an offer for a free frosty with mobile order but again, the stupid app will not let me place a mobile order. I just used one of my other apps that actually work and went to a different place to eat.
I love Wendy’s but whoever they have got to develop this app needs to be replaced ASAP. I can’t be the only one they’re losing business from.

Ordering through the app and applying deals isn’t easyThe app isn’t showing any stores around and after restarting the app. I just created an account and have not been able to use the offers that I installed it for. There are also apparently no Wendy’s in my area that are available for mobile ordering, so I can’t use the mobile deals either way… Reporting feedback in the app is also NOT user friendly. When I try it insists that I have to choose a time of visit and a store, but NO stores come up. So I can’t submit the form to give feedback. I just have to wait for whenever the app pops up to ask for feedback, which I haven’t seen since I first opened the app and handnt even used it yet… why would they even ask for feedback at that point. 🙄 It’s been giving me “Sorry, there was an error detected.” Which gives no confirmation that the error was reported or option to fix it. Then when I try to chat, it says I’m #1 in line, forever…

Couldn’t even place an orderNever have I ever had so much trouble with a fast food app. I tried to order a meal on 3 different occasions on 3 different days and all three never made it through. Every time I would go to purchase the food I would enter my card info and hit purchase but then I would get a service error. I thought to myself the servers must down so I scratched the order and waited a few more days to try again. Same thing happened. Now I was irked. No way did I think that the Wendy’s app would be down again. So once again I waited a couple more days and here I am now. I tried one last time and what do you know it happened again. Worst food app I’ve ever usedI recently tried using the Wendy’s app, and it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The interface is clunky and confusing, making it difficult to navigate through the menu. I expected a smooth ordering process, but instead, I found myself constantly clicking back and forth, trying to figure out how to place my order.
To make matters worse, the app frequently froze during my attempts to check out. I lost my cart multiple times, which was incredibly annoying. Each time I thought I was ready to place my order, the app would crash, forcing me to start over. This made what should have been a quick meal turn into a time-consuming ordeal.
On top of all that, I faced issues with card errors when trying to complete my order. The app kept rejecting my payment method, even though I had sufficient funds. After multiple attempts, I gave up in frustration. Overall, my experience with the Wendy’s app was disappointing and frustrating. Terrible APP, Horrible Customer ServiceSo after waiting in the drive through line for over 45 minutes I was finally able to place my order. Then when I attempted to pay, using the mobile app, it took 10 minutes just for the attendant at the window to know how to take payment from a customer using the mobile app. The transaction failed. Apparently I needed to add funds to my Wendy account. I selected $25 dollars and then was promoted to enter my CVV number. When I did it generated an unknown error. I closed the app and restarted my phone but still had the same error. I checked my checking account balance and there was plenty to cover the charge. I called my bank and the agent said everything was good on the banks end. At this point it was clearly an issue with the Wendy’s APP. I tried the live chat option inside the app. Even though I was 1st in line to chat with a support agent I waited nearly 20 minutes but no agent ever responded to my request. I called the toll free support phone number, was told I was 5th in line but after 25 minutes I gave up. I tried their Instagram chat, it’s been 30 minutes and no response. This is the worst food ordering app known to manFor starters, good luck trying to have a smooth time putting items in the cart because it will take about 30 mins with all the glitches you experience each time you press something. Mobile ordering slow customer serviceI ordered on the app weeks ago and was charged almost 50 dollars for it all. Never received my drinks and didn’t get a refund for it so I had to call customer service. I sent an email and waited 4 days still haven’t heard anything back from them at that point. I grew really impatient and so I tried calling them on the phone and waited about a half hour on the phone to get in contact with someone. The guy apologized and gave me a refund for the entire order but still I will not be using the app again. When I went to the location near me they said they can not scan the free rewards and have to punch them in as a coupon. I had 500 points In rewards I’m not even able to use because I selected breakfast items and every time I try to place an order to get it they don’t have the breakfast. Going Downhill Fast!This app is progressively plagued with issues. It continues to become less user friendly each time it’s redesigned. Recently, it stopped clearing out the current order after it was placed and the app closed, preventing a new order from being placed the next time the app was opened. Also more recently, selecting an available offer would make it disappear from availability without adding it to the cart. Yesterday, I was unable to process any orders at all. The app froze loading my total each time. Today, after updating the app, I was logged out and the app gives an error message “forbidden” when I try logging in, of trying to sign up fresh. Live Chat with customer service doesn’t exist anymore and there’s no email option. I don’t want to spend who knows how long it will take trying to reach someone over the phone, only to be told they can’t do anything anyway.

Stay away from wendys app for deliveryI’ve never in my life had to put a review on, but after the poor experience with this company and their application, I figured it’s time to give someone some type of fair warning to avoid the same type of issues. you would think placing an order through their application would be somewhat seamless yet there’s some kind of an issue between both them and DoorDash that when you put your information in it shows correct until the order is actually processed then it gives a random address (not even close to what you have entered) nowhere near where you live so you got both a store and address far away. you call into customer support and all they want to tell you is they can’t cancel the order then if they do cancel it you’re still gonna pay for it. with incorrect information that you did not even put into the system. Do NOT order from this app! Protect your wallet!I’ve ran into issues with placing orders from the app, but this recent one, for me, was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Even if you place an order and it’s considered “pending”, it won’t show up in the system at the store you order from, and there’s no way to request a refund for a payment they “did not receive”. But the money went somewhere, however. You could try calling customer service to see if they can help, but if you order on a Friday night or on the weekend… WHOOPS! You would have to wait and call back on Monday. If they do reach out to you, even if you provide full proof of your receipt, the company will try any way they can to sweet-talk you away from getting a refund and give you a nice little coupon for a BOGO sandwich or something. Because there’s no way to uphold the customer’s satisfaction unless we can provide them with a quality featured app that we say is great but in reality is a ploy to steal their money without needing to address any of these issues… right? There are apps that receive low grades because they’re either buggy and unfinished, or that they will simply take your money. The Wendy’s app is both. This is not only the worst restaurant apps on the App Store, and not only is it one of the worst app on the App Store in general, but it is a total complete SCAM. I would rather just recommend going to the store and order from someone you can talk to in person. It’s a lot safer than ordering from you’re phone. You won’t lose any of your money that way, because it’s not worth the deals or coupons or whatever is on it to cause you to be robbed. If they can get this fixed, that would be great. Just a creative scam to make more moneyYeah, I’d pass up on the app if I were you. It’s crazy to me that these companies have all the money in the world, yet still find ways to weasel money out of everyday people on account of THEIR incompetence. I’ve put in about a dozen orders with this app, and had issues with more than half of them. Items not customized like how they were in the order, missing drinks, no utensils, no sauce, spicy nuggets instead of mild, etc. Every single time, the app directs me to use their “live chat” feature. That would be totally fine, except for the fact that there is no live chat. They put a little section for it in the app to fake you out, but if you actually try to chat with someone, they never appear. Doesn’t matter what day or time of day. I went to call into the restaurant directly to get a refund or at least my correct order, and they quickly just directed me to the app and hung up. Absolutely terrible customer service. This trip was MEAN💔I usually LOVE Wendy’s, but after my practice, it made me HEARTBROKEN (not to mention I just wrote an entire other review but this app erased on me😔💔)! So after my practice, I go to Wendy’s to go in the drive through. As I went up, I hear an AI voice. They are ALREADY replacing humans! But the AI took my order(a Dave’s double with fries as a side and a brownie batter frosty), and at the end, it didn’t even let me know the total an it wanted me to do math which I am HORRIBLE, at. So when I went up to the window to get my food, the workers seemed MISERABLE(I mean I would be too if I had to work at a Wendy’s)! HORRIBLE BUSINESS AND HORRIBLE APPWendy’s customer service number and love chat do not work. I have multiple screen recordings where I was on hold on the phone and through the app for over a hour and a half. Their workers have poor customer service and they purposely give you the wrong order or charge your card knowing they don’t have what you ordered or because it’s too close for them to get off they just say we don’t have it. I order something I ordered something June 7th, they purposely didn’t give me what I asked for cause they didn’t feel like making a baked potato too close to their get off time. I asked to speak to the supervisor she looked uninterested and her answer to everything was I don’t know. Her employee purposely allowed me to pull of with cheese fries and knew that’s not what I ordered didn’t give me a option, the customer to see if I wanted that or if I was allergic to anything they put on them fries. A poor experienceTwice now I’ve had money charged to my card when I haven’t received said items charged to my card. The first time the app showed a location near me was open and they completed the order and my card was charged when I actually arrived at the restaurant (as this was an order ahead Mobile order) the restaurant was closed even though the app showed they should’ve been opened for another hour. I tried reaching out to Wendy’s via text (their method of chat) and to this date never heard back from anyone. Fast forward to tonight - ordered again. Get to the restaurant and they literally have nothing but the 6 Pc chicken nuggets on my order. Yet they charge my card over $14 for a 6 Pc nugget?! And tell me oh yeah we’ll refund it to your card. What is this app even for?As someone who both works at a wendys and has looked through the mobile app, i have no idea what is even for. First of all the app is rather slow, which is no big deal in its own right, but on top of all of its other issues its a mess. I have customers all the time trying to redeem the points that theyve earned just for it to fail and for the costumer to just lose their deal. On top of that i dont understand the mobile orders if it provides no real benefit. Customers have to place their order, and then go through the drive through with the giant line and wait as if they had placed an order at the speaker, but the problem is if you get two or three of these at a time, it clogs up and these poor people have to wait even longer just to get the crap they paid for. Adding up with the fact that most of the time the orders are already made, the food would probably be sitting there for at least 20 minutes before it can be picked up. Asks for location, then charges you for orders at different storesSo I went to give this app a second chance today, and it asked me to allow it to always view my location. I never do this because I like to have at least some privacy these days, but I allowed it just this once, figuring if the app knows where I am then it’s less likely to get confused, right? Wrong.
Shortly after submitting my order, I go to turn on my car to go pick it up and it won’t start, so I need to cancel my order that I can no longer pick up. Well, I open the app again to find that it believes I’m currently IN THE PARKING LOT of a store on the OTHER SIDE OF THE STATE. It then marks my order as completed and picked up, and charges my card. To make things even worse, there’s no “report a problem with this order” button like a functional app should have, so I have to wait forever in a customer service queue to get refunded for this order I never got, while figuring out what else to do for lunch, while trying to figure out what’s wrong with my car.
Tl;dr this app STILL doesn’t work after all these months, which can make for a really bad day. Just stick with McDonald’s..H3lloth3reVersion: 8.0.1
Bring back mobile and BOGO offersWe are retired and while at first it was difficult to get used to mobile ordering, we embraced it because of the good mobile offers and pandemic, necessitating drive-thru drive service. Then they messed up the app so badly that a mobile offer couldn't be added to a mobile order and they were unwilling to help at the restaurant. They almost lost us as costumers with that debacle, but we left without purchasing a couple of times and eventually an update fixed it. Again we continued to frequent Wendy's at least once a week for their 2/$5 Single and spicy chicken sandwich deal, or any one of the good app offers they always had. Now the good offers are completely gone in favor of a vastly inferior REWARDS program, and so are we. There are many other fast food options out there that want out business and offer discounts that we will use. The selection of coupons at this time is an absolute joke. Last week (Friday, April 7th) I placed an order through the app and went to the restaurant to pick up my food. Was told by the employees they ran out of burgers and bacon. I’m not sure why they didn’t stop people from mobile ordering or if they can control the mobile orders at the restaurant. Since they didn’t have any food I tried to cancel the order through the app. The button was non responsive. Asked the cashier for a refund. Was told the restaurant and mobile app are two different entities under the same company. This isn’t uncommon so that didn’t bother me. Was told to contact the customer service help line in the app. Tried to contact customer care and it was too late in the evening. Tried the next day, and it’s closed on the weekend. So Monday rolls around and I tried to call and chat. When I called I waited for over an hour in the queue with no one answering. Stupid Password RequirementsI downloaded this app and as I was signing up to receive emails & etc. it asked me to to create a password. The password requires 6-20 characters with one Capitalized, one lowercase, one number (the options of special keys). I have tried to complete my profile and kept having issues with the password requirements. I had all requirements and I kept getting error notifications of my password not meeting the requirements. I had all even including with several special keys and still wouldn’t accept it. I went from 8 characters password to a 25 character password and it wouldn’t accept it. I gave up and deleted this stupid app. And why do my passwords has to reach your requirements if it’s mild or spicy (it gives you a stupid rating of your password) It’s my password. It doesn’t has to make sense for you. It has to make sense for me. Y’all need to fire the person who created this dumb app to function and work like that. Terrible and basically useless in Toronto.Only purpose for app is to use on temp truck locations as their are very few actual Wendy’s Resturaunt locations in Toronto anymore. Thing is one can’t even use this app at any trucks either. Only for delivery guy use. In Toronto especially mid town most all Wendy’s are simple gone.
