Many Years!For many years, I have been going to Wendy’s! When I would ride around with my dad who was a contractor for construction, we would always stop at Wendy’s and he would order “single cheese and everything” for both of us and if I didn’t finish mine he would finish it but 9 out of 10 times even as a little kid I would finish mine! The chili is the best! The hot sauce that goes in it is my favorite, which I can eat out of the package and I have :-) I worked at Wendy’s in high school because I loved it so much and then got to see from behind-the-scenes, why it is so great! Fresh hamburger meat, never frozen, freshly cooked all day, and when the meat would get well done it would be put in a bin and that’s what was used in the chili. Never wasting! Fresh baked potatoes, right there that we would wash and wrap and bake ourselves!! And the way they did everything and taught us to care about our jobs and the food that we served is why it’s such an amazing restaurant that will last forever! Steph.Version: 11.11.0

Extremely cold food & ridiculously slow service!!!! PopI’ve been at the drive through since 10 minutes after placing my online order and all ive got is a I will be with you in a moment. No customer in front of me and 1 waiting more than patiently behind me. Finally decided to pull up to the window and was asked if I stopped at the ordering station! What the heck is wrong with this Wendy’s???? Stated I ordered online J.M order and here I still sit!” Just finally got my order, prays the lord!!! WOW??????? Unbelievable fries are cold and over cooked, nuggets are cold, and so is my jr bacon cheese burger! The only thing that is remotely acceptable about the order would be that my frosty’s are not melted!! This is the 2nd time being this unhappy and appalled with the service at a Wendy’s location, that I spent my valuable time to write a complaint. There are literally hundreds of places just as close by to get cold & subpar food and service! Out of sheer common sense I will be gambling on them one at a time to find a stress free quality product place to eat out! I recommend that as a corporation you monitor the franchisee locations closer before they bankrupt the company!!!.Version: 11.30.0

Needs improvementDoes the app have location sharing so the restaurant will know when you get there?? If it does, I didn’t see it. Or.. the app needs to have a button to click, saying, “I’m here” so they can finish up the order. I waited in drive-through line for a while and when I got to the window. I was advised that my order was being prepared fresh.. that took a while longer. When you order “fast food”, that is often why you choose it- so you can get it fast and go. Also, perhaps I missed it but I did not see an option on the app to get my order curbside so I decided if I did end up having to wait, I’d rather wait in my driver seat than stand or sit in the lobby. Interestingly, I did see some parking spaces labeled “curbside” but there were no numbers on the signs. Perhaps curbside “used” to be offered and you’d give your vehicle description so they’d know who the order was for.?? Would like to have had an opportunity to order free condiments like ketchup, mustard and mayo but I did not see that option. How about being able to order a cup of water on the app?? My order persists in the app after I claim it.1. A week or two went by after I last used the app for Wendy’s. I went to create an order but it believed I still needed to pick up the last order. I canceled and it said I couldn’t because I already paid. But it correctly cleared the order so I could make a new order. This routine happened again. The old order just doesn’t disappear on its own. I don’t know if the restaurant should flag my order as claimed or if the app should eventually clear the order. This is a nuisance as it is now. 2. This app sent a pop-up asking if I wanted to leave feedback. I wanted to, but I had to cancel the pop-up because it was obscuring my pickup information while I was approaching the pickup window. Later, I looked in the app to leave feedback. The ‘Contact Us’ section did not allow for app feedback, just feedback to the restaurant. 3. The app should allow a customer to specify changes to utensils and condiments. For example, it should assume 1 spoon and 1 hot sauce for my chili but I could lower it to 0 spoons and 0 hot sauces. At home I now have a huge pile of Wendy’s spoons and a drawer of hot sauces..Version: 9.5.1

WorthlessI have no idea if the app is good or not because apparently there isn’t a password that’s good enough for me to use to order fast food. I tried so many crazy passwords and each time fulfilled all of the listed requirements, double and triple checked to make sure I had everything required and each time was told what I chose wouldn’t work. So that’s why this app is “worthless” to me because I literally cannot use it. I’ve tried contacting them, no response, I tried deleting the app and downloading it again, and nothing has worked so far. Several of the closest Wendy’s to me are only taking mobile orders because of staffing issues so this app being completely useless has kept me from eating at Wendy’s for months. It’s frustrating and the only reason I’m writing this review is in hopes that maybe, just maybe someone with the company will read it and contact me or resolve the issue, but seeing as how I’ve e-mailed them several times with no response I highly doubt it..Version: 9.2.5

Terrible AppI added money to the app so I can place my order, pay for it, and someone to pick it up since I got hurt. I placed the order and paid in the app with the $50 I put in there. My cousin went to pick it up for me and was told the payment did not went through. I told her the payment number for the app and it didn’t went through. I had to send the money to my cousin in order to repay for food already paid in the app. This happened two more times. After the second time I chatted with an agent whom saw that everything was correct on my end and sent the information and proof to management of my local Wendy’s. I was told to delete the app and reinstall it. I decided to try it a few days later to see if it worked and still did the same thing. I was checking my email constantly to see if Wendy’s management figured out the problem and no response. So now I just preorder or order at the drive thru still with my money just sitting in the app..Version: 9.3.3

I got scammed from a Wendy’s app?!Ive been using this app consistently to order my food for the past 7 months or so. Today I went to order food and selected the Wendy's I was standing right in front of. I submitted my order and waited for my order to come out. I had selected the pickup time “ASAP” so I was surprised when my order didn’t even show up on the monitor. After looking back on the app it said that my order was ready and it was at a completely different location! I called the location and informed them of what happened and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and could not issue a refund.. I love Wendy's but I just got scammed from a fast food app. Don’t get me wrong, the employee at the location that answered the phone was very apologetic and kind which I appreciate very much. I have never had a problem with the app or the employees, I just don’t understand how I can’t get a refund for something that isn't my fault. I think Ill just claim the points that I have saved up on my account then not use the app anymore because I don’t want that to happen again..Version: 10.3.2

FrustationburgerAnytime there is a free food product, I have no luck getting it with my app. I have tried ordering the required other food item then the freebie-no luck. I have tried selecting the freebie item first then the other required food item, again, no luck. My sisters and I thought it would be fun to get ours together on Monday with the free burger-not. None of us had any luck and we ended up going to another Burger place where we had no trouble with the app. I have had no luck with the free items ever! I missed out on nuggets, fries, and another previous burger offer. Today I tried, even got a reminder of the order, but when I try to hit PLACE ORDER, no luck. When I’m paying for the whole order, the app works. However, many times the app just continues to serve. Very frustrating!! I hope someone actually reads this. I really like Wendy’s burgers, the app, not so much. Trying to contact Wendy’s corporate to address my concern is an effort in futility..Version: 10.2.3

Why would you not make us aware?Since the line for drive thru is excessively long, we parked and walked to go inside and order directly from dining room. However, we just wasted time and let five more cars get in front of us because the dining room is closed! A big sign stating that access to the interior is closed would be a good way to ensure that your customers go through drive thru instead of being aggravated and leaving without any food whatsoever. So we went through drive thru and ordered a large frosty, two burgers with only onions, two large fries and a six piece spicy nuggets. We were given a small frosty like tiny kiddie size, one fry and one burger. To say this was a disappointment and unsatisfactory is an understatement. We love Wendy’s and we’re excited to be getting our little treat for a relaxing evening. But nope, not even close and so aggravated that we didn’t get what we ordered or wanted. In order to fix what the employees screwed up, we would have had to get back at the end of the drive thru line, wait for all the cars ahead of us while the half of the order we did receive got colder than the cool temperatures they served it to us at. I’m actually sad and don’t know if I will be going back to Wendy’s. The employee was rude and when we tried to check everything before pulling off, she rushed us and told us to pull ahead if we had a problem. So she shoved us out of line with a blatantly incorrect order and couldn’t care less if we got what we paid for or were in need of say, a straw for the liquid vanilla mix that should have been a large frosty but was like thick milk and again- not the large we ordered and paid for. What a joke and so unexpected because usually Wendy’s is the one fast food chain we can rely upon to be consistent with the food quality. No longer is that what is happening; in fact after today and the complete waste of time and money that we could not even address because you cannot get to speak to a manager because they are inside and we are not permitted inside..Version: 9.1.2

Don’t usually leave reviews..I’ve used a lot of these apps and while I could nitpick every one of them, I’d rather just tell you what’s most important to me: response time to feedback. Whenever something happens at the store, the Burger King/jack in the box apps are the least responsive, you’ll have to play email tag with them for days to weeks and might get nowhere. Jack in the box solution is to go to there stores cause they never just refund your money for a missing item or something wrong, lost out on reward points cause they made a mistake? Too Bad. The Wendy’s app gets you a response in 24 hours, either text/email but you get that feeling that there’s definitely one person you’re talking to and not going through a chain of command or a team. Now, what’s more important to you? Responsiveness when it comes to your money or something dumb, like a button doesn’t work or the layout doesn’t look right for you?.Version: 9.1.2

HORRID SERVICE IN FOUNTAIN COLORADOTHIS APP IS HORRIBLE! The service in the Wendy’s store is horrid in Fountain, Colorado! They don’t open or close according to the hours listed everywhere! They tell u they can’t help u because they’re cleaning and this is an hour before close time! We go there when my daughter doesn’t work and the last 5 times we either got cussed out in the drive thru after asking for the manager and he cussed us out further! We have had missing food or they gave us messy food that nobody would eat! I said we have a mobile order and he said that’s not his f#%+ing problem. We complained each time also, NOTHING!!!! Never hear back or they don’t answer calls! The fact that after complaining I’ve had issues using my app. I’ve had points taken off that weren’t used by us, WE EARNED THOSE POINTS SPENDING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT A BUSINESS THAT JUST DGAF ABOUT ITS MONEY MAKERS, IE THE CUSTOMERS! We are why u have stores everywhere. The app keeps trying to create an account instead of letting me sign in. If they only knew why they have lost so much business, then again they have shown they DGAF!!!!!.Version: 10.2.1

The silver spoon of fast food.I like that if I accidentally make a mobile order at the wrong Wendy’s and have even submitted it, that I am still able to change my order, and choose the correct location, without getting two charges! And it takes less than a minute to do it! No body else does that! And idk about your town, but mine has routes and road that go for miles 😉and they have these fast places for when you’re hungry… sometimes I cannot see the number of the building or I pre order and when I see the correct road (brain function not optimal when hungry) I think yep that’s the one! And there are times when I pull up and find out that that there are two on north Wickham 4150 N Wickham 950 North Wickham… but that’s great for two reasons, because then ppl don’t have to drive as far, and i don’t have to drive to the place I ordered it because Wendy is forgiving and she lets me edit it..Version: 11.2.2

Worst fast food app everI stopped using it in 2021 because it never worked with my local Wendy's, but it's been a year now so I figured I'd give it another try. No difference, in fact in one way it's worse. I had an offer for $4 off a $20 order. I entered my items then went to check out the app said I was short on the $20, but the dollar amount shown was $0, so I had no idea if I was $0.05 short or $5 short. I had to exit the checkout and look at each item individually and add it all up, that sucked. I placed my order, was told it was paid for, and gave me my Order I.D. When I got to Wendy's they never received my order, questioned that I placed it, and doubted that I paid for it. Then they tell me that they don't have all of the items for my order (not an app problem, but still annoying). This is why I deleted the app in 2021, every time I placed the order and went to Wendy's they had a different excuse for why they didn't have my order: network was down, order came through but there were no items on it, my order I.D. didn't match the order they had (they only had one mobile order at that time). Finally, I went into the Contact Us section of the app and went to Leave Feedback, the feedback page never opened. I tried several time, tried closing the app, tried deleting and reinstalling the app, could never get the feedback page to open. I'm guessing that way they never get any negative feedback so they are happy. The app it trash, and it soon will be. UPDATE: After the response from Wendy's I called their number, there were 6 options, the request didn't specify which option, so I chose #6, they had no idea about why I was calling and had no access to the app reviews. They did take down the location and were going to forward my complaint onto them. They felt it might be the network in the location, but that doesn't explain why they seem to get orders from food delivery services, but not from Wendy's app. I'm not holding out much hope for a resolution, but will wait a few months before trying again..Version: 9.2.6

Salad ordering problemsI’ve ordered a variety of salads via this app from different Wendy’s nearby. The order I end up with never is correct even thought the extras such as almonds, roasted pecans, crispy onions are all listed on my receipt. Part of the problem, for example, is when I order the pomegranate dressing, it doesn’t delete the Champaign dressing and I end up with both and only use the one. The app lets you choose how many packages of almonds or pecans but when I’ve ordered 2, I’ve never gotten more than one. This also happens when I order 2 sour creams for a baked potato, I usually always get one. Perhaps a checklist of the order needs to be printed out for employees to follow? Re-educate? There’s nothing more important than getting the order right, especially when the restaurant has extra time because the customer used the app to order ahead. I feel I’ve been let down many times..Version: 10.1.0

Tough app to use but does have nice food dealsI think this app is too complicated for the average person to use. I tried to buy a digital frosty key tag today. First I couldn’t find the offer. Then I finally found it with two options, physical card or digital. Sounds great! However when I checked out with the digital option, I still had to go to a store to pick up the physical card. At least that’s what my store told me when I called to get them to release the digital order. They had never heard of digital key tags. Come on, Wendy’s, don’t roll stuff out without training your staff! You need to let the digital key tag frosty offer work in addition to other deals too. Throw us a bone here! The jr frosty isn’t the deal, it should be lagniappe. Anyway, to anyone reading this, you have to get and use this app so Wendy’s will continue to invest in it. The app idea is good, the food hits the spot, and the deals in app bring me when I’m considering the options. They just need to simplify it. Maybe try some more focus groups and watch people try to use it..Version: 7.1.10

The app is great when it worksI couldn’t order. It wouldn’t let me use Apple Pay(my preferred method). It wouldn’t let me use the card I already have saved. The options were all grayed out and unresponsive. I go out of the order and then back into the checkout screen. I manually typed in my card information. I hit submit and it just sat there and didn’t do anything. It doesn’t put the card information in and it doesn’t proceed with the order. I went back out of the screen again and suddenly Apple Pay lights up. I used it only for it to say, “There was an error” and refund the money immediately. I go back out and then try to put my card information in again. It says that there was a problem. I go back out, then go back into the checkout screen. Finally, FINALLY it let me use Apple Pay. I haven’t had that much trouble trying to put in a food order on an app in a long time. All these places are constantly saying, “Do you have our app? You should use our app!” I don’t need an app that doesn’t work half of the time..Version: 11.3.0
