The best app everThis is literally the best app ever and it is amazing how u can watch old games as well as new games. The league pass is very cheap and is 100% supporting the WNBA. I watch tons of games new and old all of the time and I believe that anyone who likes the WNBA should get it. It has all games on it and you can watch games that weren’t on a channel you get. There are no commercials for most of the games unless you go back to very old games. There are occasional glitches but they do not bother me at all. And you can even watch the games of your favorite players who are retired such as Lindsay Whalen, Rebekah Brunson, and Penny Taylor. I love this app so much and it is the best way to watch WNBA basketball because we all know how major sports companies don’t play women’s sports as often as they should. The WNBA app also has different videos and news about the latest WNBA stuff and really helps you stay in the know of the players and teams. There were so many helpful tools for when I first started getting into WNBA basketball like going into settings and it showing you all of the teams so you can learn their names along with it showing all of the players and their names in alphabetical order..Huge WNBA fanVersion: 10.0911

Pretty good but there is an issue5 stars for the WNBA 5 stars for league pass which is SO CHEAP it doesn’t even matter that there’s blackout dates. (But be warned that there are.) You can watch league pass on a computer/any device. You can watch and re-watch old games as much as you want, even blackout games. I love making clips and it’s very easy to do that with streaming games. 3-4 stars for the app: I love the info about players/teams/news and ability to watch prior games. HOWEVER there is a majorly annoying issue where the app forgets that you have league pass. You have to log out and back in for it to remember. This tends to happen to me when changing wireless networks. I have always been able to log back in and watch games, but at first it looks like it lost your subscription because you are logged in and it says you don’t have league pass. Pretty sure one of my friends became discouraged the first time this happened and never watched another game! That’s really bad news for getting new WNBA fans! Watching Live GamesI was trying to watch the live preseason games today & when I clicked on a game to watch, instead of playing the actual live game it would start at the beginning even though the game has already started. It did it with games that were in halftime or in the fourth quarter. So instead of me watching the actual live action it was operating like I wanted to watch it after the game was over which I know it wasn’t. With the Liberty/ Fever game I had to watch it on the television channel it was on cause I was getting frustrated with it starting over at the beginning. I don’t know if anyone else was experiencing the same issue but if it’s going to play like that then when it’s time for me to renew my subscription then I’ll be skipping it cause I’m not paying for something that doesn’t work properly..Journey82~49Version: 19.1.0

Mediocre designI am excited they are able to host and watch games. I am disappointed in the design of the mobile app itself. The app should mirror or reflect the navigation and feel of the wnba website. Navigation and flow of the mobile app is sub par at best. If it didn’t host games then the mobile app would have little value. The landing page has a wnba logo, a follow button with label and a website button with label that takes half the screen of the landing page. Do better. Keep the logo at the top, add a star only icon to function for the follow, make the logo a hyperlink to the wnba website get rid of the website button. Add a hamburger menu in the corner like any other normal website to quickly take you to scores, schedules, standings, stats, etc. also add back or home buttons once you drill down to the sub pages. Add favorites for teams and players to follow. Would like to give the quality mobile app these ladies deserve. I do love the fact you can access and watch games. Ya’ll, Something’s upI don’t know if this just happens to me, but every time I try and press on a player, I get kicked out. For example, I’m a big Fever and Sparks fan, so I go to where it says “players” and look for Li Yueru, I press on her, the loading screen comes on, and then I’m getting kicked out of the app. I tried it a few other time with a few other players like Grace Berger, Caitlin Clark, Boston, Zia Cooke, Dangerfield. All those attempts had me kicked off the app. So then I tried with other teams such as Ivana Dojkić from Liberty, Ariel from the Wings. All those times I getting kicked out. But then I try the Mercury, first Rebecca Allen, then Amy Atwell, and then the whole rest of the team. This time is different from the other teams I’ve tried, ‘cause in this one, I’m not getting kicked off the app, I’m just being left on the same loading screen. It don’t make sense to me. Box score Starters/Bench split screen horizontal scroll barsWNBA rosters have less than 13 players and now we have to horizontally scroll for the starters and for the bench as opposed to one scroll for all. The columns for the starters and bench are the same. It seems the purpose of the latest box score enhancement is to group starters and bench players and sort by pts scored. Would it be possible to keep one table header, indicate which players are starters maybe by appending (S) after their name, order by starters(S)/pts scored then, order by pts for the remaining players? It would at least remove the split screen and make it so players bench players are always listed below the starters. Just my opinion. I enjoy the app on iPhone and Roku and use it often especially during the season. But I mostly view the box score in portrait view on the iPhone wnba app and I only have to scroll maybe an inch to get to the bottom of the roster. Best of Everything!!I’m 75, and have been an athlete for about 70 of those years. At 10 I had an assignment to cut out the local papers’ sports coverage of a Philly high school and send them to my uncle who was on assignment in Europe. He had been the founding principal of that high school and he was also an important figure in my life, including sports. All this to say I’ve been watching and reading sports coverage for a while. I could be a bit biased for the WNBA, I know I am, and must say that this app and the entire public presence of The W is by far the best I’ve experienced. Maybe(?), no certainly it’s because it’s the W, a showcase of the foundation and meteoric rise in support for women’s sports. There is a long undocumented history here, and I believe the W and its place in the world of women’s sports is the gate to a better future for all of our teams. Girls rule! I love !!Okay so by the way this app doesn’t work without wifi which I would like.. but I still love this app, and its very convenient. On the watch button you get to watch live games for free. But which is also a GREAT thing ! I used struggle to find the games and it says which channel a certain team is on , Which I’m proud of and I LOVE it!! Needs a Watched ButtonWNBA needs to add an important feature to their app- a “Watched” button for the games. My household watches EVERY GAME every season via the WNBA app (even when we go to the games live, we still watch the game on the app too! Gives a whole different experience than the live game). SO… with that said… with 44 games to watch, I had to develop my own spreadsheet to track the games we’ve watched and the ones we still have to watch. This would be SO MUCH EASIER and a much BETTER FAN EXPERIENCE to be able to click on a button that lets me know that we’ve watched that game. It used to be that there was an orange line that would appear at the bottom of that specific game showing that it had been watched and that gave us a clue- that line is sometimes there, sometimes not. Game time notifications and league improvementsThe app is aesthetically pleasing and functions well. Not many glitches and I LOVE the score tracking feature on your Lock Screen. However, I would love to turn on live game time notifications so I can be prompted to when games start or like when the second half starts; things like that so I can know when to tune into the game. Sometimes I forget there’s a game on and then miss it completely so this feature would definitely add to the experience. I’d love to be able to turn on specific notifications for my favorite team to hear news and happenings surrounding the team as well. Also adding to other reviews and this is more for the league, not the app, but allowing more games to be streamed directly through league pass as opposed to through other channels or webpages. Needs workI’ll keep it simple. The app does not have but should have restart and resume game options. The app does not sync between devices. I have it on Roku, iPad and iPhone and I often have to switch devices, because of my own tight schedule, throughout a single game but I shouldn’t have to spend timing finding the same point in the game I was at when switching between devices. Non-app related: WNBA league administration is an absolute joke. The circus they create around race is an utter turn off. I am a new fan like 80% of us, exactly one year and two games old and I have never witnessed this level of ineptitude in a professional sports league. Frustrating, glitchy and annoyingAs an avid WNBA watcher, this app is horrible and honestly makes the experience so unnecessarily difficult. This year especially I have to jump through more hopes than last season just to watch the game. It’s so aggravating that a lot of the time I just give up and watch something else. Love the W but a few things to changeI can say that I love the WNBA, although the only reason I watch is for Caitlin Clark. If you ask any of my friends they will tell you that I love the W and the app is super helpful other than a few things that I want to change. 1.Some of the players don’t have the pronunciation button. This is super inconvenient because I am TERRIBLE with pronunciation. I literally have the hardest times trying to pronounce people’s names. 2.Why are some of the games on NBA tv? I now this doesn’t really go towards the app but when it is on NBA tv I have to pull out the laptop to watch it on there. Layout is a pain in the ….The layout on the app is frustrating. You have to scroll through the calendar day by day to see the games instead of just being able to scroll through them. It took me a while to even notice that. I thought the older games were just not on the app. There isn’t a single streaming app out there that is like this for a reason. It’s also frustrating that half of the games aren’t viewable until the next day because they are being televised on a network that you also have to have a subscription for. Some of them are on USA and that network doesn’t have its own subscription, so unless you have that channel on cable you’re just SOL. It was not like that last year. Apps keeps crashingLast year when I first stumbled upon this app I was super excited and have a wonderful experience. This year though I’m having major issues. It’s constantly crashing and logging me out and telling me to recheck my subscription! Super annoying when you’re into a game and then it kicks you out. It does it on my phone, computer and Roku. Great product, less than great appI would love to give 5 stars, because I love the WNBA. The games are great, and the price of league pass is more than reasonable. Let me easily support my teamIt’s an ok app, but there are a lot of odd hurdles to finding stats and seeing my team. I hope the developers are listening: 1. Let me follow my team more closely. Home should have my team schedule, including upcoming games for my favored team as the priority. To find my Chicago Sky schedule, I have to go to Teams > Sky > Horizontal slide past already completed games. This is wasted effort. Remove the hurdle for me to plan and watch quickly. 2. Recent game highlights and stats would be nice higher up in the real estate. I’m ignoring much of the home page just to hunt for MY game. 3. AppleTV bonus: don’t ask me to confirm if I want to leave the app (do you want to exit?). If I click the button to leave the app on my remote, don’t second guess me. Fever GamesA couple of times now I’ve wanted to watch a Fever game live several times and the app has told me that I can’t because it’s being shown in my area, but the problem is that it was not being shown in my area on ME TV. I tried everything I could to get it on television, but the channel that said it was playing on said on the screen that they couldn’t show it due to “contractual obligations”. GlitchI have tried several times unsuccessfully to watch full game replays. The replays stop after about a minute. And I also often get sent to a screen saying that I must purchase a subscription even when I have 11 more months left on my annual subscription. I have unsuccessfully tried to enlist the help of Support. They claim that they can’t find my account. After several days, one of the techs finally found the problem which was a typo in my email address and it could not be changed. Glitches, but very usefulThe WNBA app was an app which I used a lot. The games that you can watch for free and highlights were incredible. The glitches were not very noticeable. That was until a game where I went into the app and tried to open the 4th quarter play-by-play and it kept closing the app. I found this glitch incredibly frustrating and it wasn’t due to an update because the app was update to the newest version. Perfect FeaturesI think all the features are amazing. I love how you get notifications when a game starts. It reminds you to go and watch it. I also love the fact that you can put in on your Home Screen ,and still have your other widgets on your screen. Go Back to the the Way it was BeforeLeague Pass and the app have always had issues but this new WNBA ID system has only made it worse. Look at any fan reviews on social media and it will show you how bad and universally disliked these updates are from the old app (which was already a low bar). It seems that what fans really loved about the app was not properly integrated into this new rendition which is disappointing. I know that the development team probably tries their best but across the board this missed the mark, sadly. Not only is it horrible to navigate, the app restructure on TVs is terrible, you can’t rewatch full replays of the preseason even if you have league pass, and the older games from years and years back are now gone which is what set this app apart and made it worthwhile. These developers ruined everything people actually liked about League Pass and made the things that were already bad WORSE. Please go back to the old way and we can try again next year because this is not the solution. We should atleast still be able to watch full replays after the game, not just 10 minute highlights, if we have the subscription!!! I’ve been looking forward to the season starting and now the viewing momentum is already killed for me and many others. Not even mentioning the NBA broadcast mixup yesterday. Ridiculous!And how did the default placement for the subtitles turn out to be directly on top of, completely covering the score,time, timeouts, fouls, the entire on screen scoreboard. Asleep at switch to the max. Site significantly worse overnite. Replays not even listed as such. Finally found some out of order under “Popular Videos”. Back in the less funky yesterday, replays listed but very slow to come, unlike previous years when almost always available within a few minutes of end of game. Now not even same day, maybe not at all? Worse and worse. Two schedule prompts lead to two different pages. The “Watch” prompt on one schedule page which appears after game finished yields an invitation for a free trial and other pages and not the game replay. Terrible, maybe worst performing supposedly sincere site. I had issues with last year’s app, but please, give it back. It represents a massive upgrade from this year’s, and surely you have it lying around. Give it back, take the travesty that is this year’s version and fix it or forget it. PLEASE. A subpar product somehow made worse with more investment $$I don't know how you managed it but every version of the "new and improved" app this season is even worse than the always crashing former app, after the league got that $75 million investment, how'd you make an app this bad? It feels like it's an incredible rush job that went through zero UI and UX testing (hire researchers to help you PLEASE), the functionality of the homepage is wild. Click the schedule button at the bottom? You'll only see the games available on the app, click the schedule button in the menu on the sidebar? You get sent to the website that bugs out with continual cookies permissions and random menu openings. Want to check on how your team is doing? You'll have better luck finding them on their own app or just visiting the W site on your own because that's all this app will bring you too WITH NO WAY TO NAVIGATE A STEP BACKWARDS. Let me Hide the Score!This is an ok app but the thing that annoys me to no end is that you cannot hide the score for previously blacked out games. There are annoying game blackouts, I get it (but having League Pass should make those games available live), but I do watch them when they are available later only the app ruins those games by posting the scores in a place where you will see them prominently when you click on the game. Honestly I’ve skipped watching these games when I’m not fast enough to cover the area where the score will be displayed. There’s no other word for that then “ stupid”. The app is a huge spoiler if you want to watch previously blacked out games. That seriously annoys me. Seems like there’s a simple fix, add an option in preferences to hide scores for “run it back “ games. IPad UseI purchased League Pass at the beginning of the season. It worked fine for the first 25 games. Now when I’m logged into my account, it says I don’t have a league pass subscription. Support has been no help. They asked me to send them my confirmation email with my proof of purchase. I did and they just responded with copy and pasted generic suggestions which I had already tried. I clicked to purchase league pass (even tho I already have it). Sometimes it would tell me I already have a subscription. So I would go to watch a game and it would give me and error message saying to check back later. I would click to restore purchases and if that worked and I tried to go watch a game, it would say there was an error and to check back later. Other times when I would click to restore purchase, it would give me a message that it failed to restore purchase. Just a complete disaster all around and very annoying..Ntimm03Version: 17.5

Can’t watch on iPadThis app has gotten considerably worse since last year, and it wasn’t great to begin with. It’s nearly impossible to watch on iPad because the closed captioning is on as a default and there’s the text takes up like 1/2 of the screen. Even when the button to turn it off appears (sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not) you can’t press it. The same goes for the full screen button, so you can’t watch anything full screen. I see the developers responding to reviews saying to restart the app or update the app or redownload the app and I’ve tried all of these options and they have not resolved the issue. They then say to reach out to troubleshoot but it seems like this is an app problem and not a case by case problem that would necessitate troubleshooting. Pay the players.The preseason of WNBA begins in a little over a month and a half, and the WNBPA is still negotiating. I don’t think you realize that this is bigger than t-shirts and poster this time. We are talking about a total lockout. We don’t care about Cathy or the team managers or whatever goes on behind the scenes. We care about the players. But instead you censor them, mistreat them, and most importantly, refuse to value them. Do you know why All-Star weekend had more media coverage than the entire WNBA season? Because the girls played for fun, not worrying about the money. If you are going to pay them like it’s a joke, then they deserve to play like they are. This new version stinks! 🤬I have been a league pass subscriber for years and out of all of my time support the W through the app, this update has to be my least favorite. It is terrible. There are so many technicalities and bugs wrong with this app. For one, they changed all the features and functions, and made it even more complicated to use the app. You can no longer keep up with the game or if you try to check the stats, it skips and jump all over the place. Not just that, but the navigation is not the same. You can no longer view games by the schedule or search previous games by the dates. Not just that, but when you are able to view previous games, it no longer shows you the play-by-play, game summary, game totals, stats, etc. They literally took an app that was functional and messed it up. It is worse than whatever minor issues it previously had. It’s almost like they tried to do too much or incorporate too much innovation to the app. It is just horrible. The developers turned something I loved into something I despise. If this is what the price increase was for/about then I am not impressed nor satisfied. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!!! (0/5 starsI want to support the WNBA, which is why I renewed League Pass even after the price increase this year. I have no problem paying more for a product I value. What is frustrating is that the app experience has gotten noticeably worse. The app signs me out constantly, and when I sign back in, it resets or ignores my preferences to hide scores. That immediately spoils games I specifically planned to watch later. There is also an extremely loud audio pop at the beginning of every game on this app. It sounds like a reused intro clip that was never properly edited or quality-checked before being pushed live. (I am an audio engineer so this one absolutely baffles me as to how nobody caught this and still has not fixed this with how many games have already aired this season). Worst of all, when I’m watching a game after it aired, the app will randomly jump to the end of the game and reveal the final score. For fans who watch replays, this completely ruins the whole experience. These are not minor annoyances. The app is actively spoiling games and making League Pass difficult to enjoy. I want to support the league and continue subscribing, but it’s hard to justify a price increase when the quality of the app and viewing experience has declined. WNBA deserves better coverage and app design.Appreciate the ability to watch WNBA games as a league pass but it’s almost too frustrating and not worth it to watch them on this app. The volume constantly cuts in and out whether I watch on my iPad, mirror to my tv, or watch on my laptop. And yes, I’ve tried different Wi-Fi networks too. Major improvements needed with playback options. One recommendation I’d make is the ability to not have to start a game all over should I leave the app or need to restart the app. It would be nice to return to the same game at the place I left off. Far to many glitchesApp works for only a few minutes then crashes. (Only on iPhone it works well on Samsung phone and on PCs). When attempting to sign back in after uninstalling and reinstalling the app it repeatedly ask me to check my email address and password. When I go to my Samsung phone sign out of the WNBA app on it and then sign in it works fine. I go back to my iPhone and it again asks me to check email and password. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the WNBA app on the iPhone more than a dozen times every fourth or fifth time it logs in. I start a game and it plays then suddenly there is an animated basketball rim and net with an animated ball with message asking me to refresh. Go to the Samsung phone, everything’s fine. Too glitchyI’ve never written an app review, but with how glitchy this app is, my patience has run thin. First, you have to tilt it a certain way if you want to watch full screen. It can’t be too far or too far back or else it’ll just go back to small screen. Second, if you have the league pass and maybe fell asleep watching a game or want to just watch one specific part, it’s a hit or miss if the player will allow you to move the indicator to whatever specific time you’re trying to watch. So say if your app quits or something interrupted you during halftime, you have to watch the replay from the beginning UNLESS it’s one of the rare times it’ll let you move forward. This is a clunky and hard-to-use piece of workThere are so many problems with this app redesign that it’s hard to know where to begin. The main issue is that the app won’t even show you the full list of games on the schedule tab. You wouldn’t even know if your team is playing if you relied on the app schedule. I generally get the day’s FULL schedule from the ESPN fantasy app, of all places. But beyond that glaring problem, the user experience is so clunky and hard to navigate that it’s embarrassing, especially on Apple TV. - Want to see the scores from yesterday? Good luck with that. - Want to watch recent games? Go hunt for them in the Run It Back or Teams sections, they aren’t well labeled - Don’t understand what the Commissioner’s Cup is about? No printable season scheduleI just want a simple season list of all televised games that I can print out and keep by my remote. Instead, I’m forced to play "whack-a-mole" every night—digging through menus and clicking individual game tiles just to see if it's on ION, USA Network, or blacked out for a national broadcast. The app is fine if you want to watch a replay 24 hours late, but for a live fan trying to plan their week, it’s incredibly frustrating. Why do individual teams like the Indiana Fever have to provide their own PDFs while the "official" app for the whole league can't generate a simple list? League Pass GlitchesI love the WNBA and I think the new app has a lot of potential. However, I am struggling to find a way to watch old regular season games. When I click the tab titled “Games” it states the year is 2023 but only shows the schedule for 2024. I then click the tab titled “Watch” but each row only shows a limited amount of games. For example the row titled “Run it back” only show the regular season games from September 3rd to 10th without an option to see more. Every row in the watch tab does not have an option to see the rest of the content. Also when I airplay on other streaming apps I am able to leave the app and still have the content air playing on my tv. Replay full gamesOk so yes you can go to the schedule for a team like the Fever and go back to 2024 or 2025 and select a quick review or full game. DisappointedThis app needs a major overhaul to get up to speed with current technology. Almost every time I try to watch on my tv I have to log in yet again. Great league, terrible appLast year, we could watch up to four games on one screen, pretty much everything worked as expected, and even though the W charges your account before you have a chance to redeem your free year as a W season-ticket holder, it’s still a great deal at $25. It’s most recent update is center on the League Pass, which is fine, except it makes finding the information you want difficult. The schedule button only allows you to see scheduled streaming games. You have to click in multiple places to find the whole schedule. Streaming games is not as straightforward as previous app versions.
