Good but needs ONE MAJOR FIX for a Great or Perfect Score!I’ve been using Kick on iOS for about 6-8 months now and while I love the streams on the platform (Kino Casino and Chud Logic stan for life!)…there’s a fatal flaw in how it’s built on iOS that prevents me from really using it properly: the Automatic setting for Picture Quality. Due to current circumstances pertaining to slow…almost UNUSABLE on some days bc of dozens of people using it all day…Fiber Optic Internet, I’m forced to play streams on 160p to 240p and just listen at times. But whenever it needs to buffer again, IT KEEPS RESETTING IT BACK TO AUTOMATIC! I ran through my monthly data plan in 3 nights merely because it kept on Automatically setting the Picture Quality to 360p and up to 720p WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE and I’m so sick of it! I absolutely love Kick as a platform and I hope they eventually eclipse and make Twitch obsolete (like they deserve to be)…but until they can fix a “simple” issue like KEEPING A CONSISTENT SET PICTURE QUALITY FOR NAD CONNECTIONS TO BE ABLE TO KEEP CONSISTENTLY LISTENING WITHOUT THEIR PHONE BILLS CHARGING A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OR NONSTOP STUTTERING/BUFFERING WHILE CHANGING IT BACK EVERY 15-90 SECONDS…they just may lose more viewers to YT Clip Channels and whatnot since it’s such a hassle and an utter annoyance to contend with little issues like this! Revolutionary Streaming PlatformKick is a Game changer, and I dont think anything is gonna be able to beat it Pros: Kick offers the amazing 95/5 revenue split that makes this streaming service so much better than any other site, and you can get Affiliate quickly to start earning money Kick also has a strict no Follow for Follow policy so people that do that can actually be dealt with instead of having to ban them Kick has a good TOS policy and staff that deals with those hot tub streamers that wear less than bikinis and those ppl that break the rules in other ways The app also has a good chat bot, Botrix, that supports the streams in many ways like moderation, Alerts, and more! This is more for ppl looking to stream on the Platform. Cons: this app is very new and still in development, from what I can tell there arent as many chat features like on the Kick website, but I’m sure it will be updated soon In my opinion there needs to be more staff members, I’ve scrolled through the site and I’ve seen some “interesting” content that definitely breaks TOS, they are eventually banned but I think they need a larger staff to deal with situations like that faster. There still isnt the “Kicks” Feature, or system in which ppl can donate money DIRECTLY to the streamers, with no 5% fee, which im sure will come out soon but im not really complaining, getting 95% of your sub revenue is still amazing General Experience: when I first started streaming on Kick I thought it would never go anywhere because of how similar it felt to Twitch, but after streaming on the platform for over a month now I was dead wrong, things are so much better here, people are more supportive, and its easier to actually get followers because there arent a million other streamers doing the same stuff you’re doing. Great, however…It’s a great streaming service but it can be buggy at times, right now it won’t even let my open the app on my phone, on mobile it can kick you out while making a clip as well. One second you’ll be reviewing a clip, next it kicks you out the whole stream you’re watching and you lose all the progress on the clip. Now this next part could just be my WiFi connection, but sometimes it will randomly freeze up and set me back a minute or two from the actual stream. So I’d chat and it wouldn’t appear for 2 ish minutes meaning that I’m being shown a delayed stream. The chat box can be a bit buggy at times too, like mid sentence it will put the blinks bar back to the tip-pity top of the text box and continue from there, making you sound like Yoda from Star Wars. Otherwise I haven’t had any other problems with the app, can’t wait to get kick to consoles to get even more amazing streamers onto the platform..Version: 2.1.33
The app is amazing but there’s one thing I dislike.When it comes to using this app as a viewer, there's this one really important thing that doesn't work right. You know those notifications you're supposed to get when the streamers you follow go live? Yeah, they're broken. Hopefully, they'll fix it in the next update or something. So, here's the deal: you go to your profile, click on "Notifications," and then there's this option called "Live: Receive a notification on your phone when a channel you follow goes live." Well, when you try to turn that feature on, it just doesn't work. The app keeps turning it off by itself. Now, I never know when my favorite streamer is live unless I take a wild guess. And guess what? Most of the time, I check and their stream is already over. It's so frustrating because this app could be great, but this super important feature just doesn’t seem to work..Version: 1.0.5.2
Great Platform, Poor iPad Viewer ExperienceKick as a whole is a breath of fresh air and I’m excited to see it grow. The streamers and community are great and Kick seems genuinely invested in both! That being said, while the iPhone app is well designed and very user friendly, the same can’t be said for the iPad experience. Chat is occasionally bugged and not usable, watching a stream in portrait mode STILL zooms the stream making it a disaster to watch, and the app can only be browsed in portrait mode. I have no doubt these will eventually be addressed, but given how long these issues have been present - it’s a bit concerning. Again the platform, the iPhone app, and the website are all A+ and I’m a huge fan of Kick! But as a primary iPad user for my everyday, this app effectively keeps me from watching and engaging with the platform and will until some of these bugs are addressed. Awesome For CreatorsThe revenue split is enough to make me very happy this is available to steamers so they can make a fair living and not have a tech company that does very little take most of that. I wish you could watch the streams after they finish though. Figured the video tab would hold that but I don’t see anything under the streamer I follow. It’s also strange that I can’t seem to navigate around in the creators page while they stream if using an iPhone 16. Even weirder, if I hit the down arrow widget to go back to the scroll, the audio continues but video vanishes. There’s many little things like this that give the app a rough around the edges feel and I doubt some of it gets fixed given how tech companies work. But it’s cool they split the revenue better, just wish someone would build a modern and simple platform instead of kinda copying Twitch in its layout and not really trying to improve anything about the UX..Version: 2.1.25
The app is functional but not good.Many features are still missing, such as being able to picture-in-picture the stream you’re watching and still being able to browse the platform. When clicking on “Following” it only shows you who is live. If you want to see your following list and they’re all offline, you can’t- unless you go on the PC. Chat is set up in such a way that it promotes emote spamming and if you mute someone in chat on mobile, it doesn’t do anything. Their messages still show up in chat. Maybe it works on PC but that’s not what we are reviewing here. You can’t view or edit your existing subscriptions on the app. Again, to do this, you have to go on the PC. You can’t even view or edit your settings on the app yet— there’s just a button that says “Settings (soon)”. I could maybe understand all of these shortcomings if this app was less than a month old. Usually you have kinks to work out and need to make changes, add features, etc. But the Kick app for iOS has been out since March 26th, 2023. That was 4 months ago and we still have very basic functionality in this app. Stop spending $100m on streamer contracts and start investing into your app’s user experience and talented UI & UX developers instead. At the end of the day, your sustainability is determined by how many users actually choose your platform over the purple guy. You can have as many talented streamers as you want, but if the platform isn’t enjoyable to use, they will watch their favorite streamer and immediately leave. This app actually has a shotWhen I first heard of kick from a popular streamer on a different platform, I instantly thought it was going to be a hit by the way they explained it. He went on about how everyone was going to switch to the platform but in order for me to make this rating a five star some things have to happen. One bug that I hate is I can’t get notifications from my favorite streamers such as Adin Ross because the favorite button doesn’t work. Another thing is the graphics are low which isn’t a major factor but would make me like the app a lot better. Other than that all that needs to be fixed is Lag, Framing issues with fitting the image into the screen, and making the app a little unique with a better intro design. Fixes neededHey. This is my first time writing a review on an app. I have some issues that I hope a developer will see. The pools hottubs and bikini and asmr sections don’t appear in search or browsing the app. I have to scroll down in my following page and find said stream and sometimes it works if I click the category and sometimes it’s just blank. And crashes, when watching a stream for extended times it crashes and brings me to the homepage with audio still playing. Sometimes it just works in picture in picture mode. Sometimes when i click on a stream the video player is blank and buffering. Exiting the app and erasing the app from the recent apps usually fixes it. One last thing, i would like unban requests. BugsThere are a lot of bugs in this app. When some get fixed new ones are introduced. For example: Right now whenever I swipe down on my iPhone to check the time the stream that I’m watching buffers. It’s really annoying especially when people are in the middle of talking about something interesting. #2 when you put a stream in windowed mode on mobile then try to go back to the app and watch it regularly, it visually glitches the entire app, you have to click the rotate stream button to fix it. #3 it says streamers are offline when they aren’t, so you have to close and open the app a few times before it fixes itself. The only reason I use kick is for Ice Poseidon (Cx) it’s a good platform good owners good people, the website is good or at least usable. But this app needs to be fixed.Version: 3.2.5
Could be betterNeeds a away to hide certain creators that pop up on the main feature screen. Like the ones who are half… you know… you probably know who I’m talking about too. Also just lacks basic things like showing a list of who you’re following, and the chatting I find weird since it will show previous chats from the prior days stream and I personally don’t chat much because of that since it can hold your messages for anyone to view days later if you’re the main chatter in a small stream. Kinda feel like the service was rushed, and much like modern video games released before it was finished. Option to “Exit/Leave” what’s playing.🔴Read; Option to “Exit/Leave” what’s currently playing instead of quitting the app. 👉 My problem with this app is that once you start a video there’s but no way to “exit/leave” what’s currently playing (video) unless you actually “shutdown/close” the app itself or pick a another to video to play because you either click the wrong video by mistake. 👌 Twitch already have this option when you minimize what’s playing while you also can “Exit/Leave” anytime. 🥱I know Kick app is knew & still improving an can’t wait what amazing things you guy do in the future (maybe Live screen share from our mobile devices)..Version: 1.0.5.1
5 stars because i believe in the future of this platformAlright so I know Kick was just recently added and at this point, on the IPhone version i dont find too many problems, On the other hand The IPad version of Kick Mobile needs some optimization, when i turn the ipad side ways it cuts part of the screen off and also doesnt give you the option to make the screen a tad smaller where you can see chat and the side options(full screen, Quality settings, and what not) please fix this soon.Version: 1.0.3
Replying to messages during streamIf it wasn’t for this issue and not being able to use the app without WiFi anymore I would do five stars cause for awhile now I need to be on WiFi and before I could use my data. I like the new features that were added especially for the mods that were added by clicking on other people’s names. But after this update today, now I can’t reply to people when they reply to a message of mine in stream. It won’t let me click on their name to reply to them, either though they replied to me beforehand. Now I have to type their name and start another message to reply to them.Version: 3.0.0
Better than twitchThe overall experience is far better than twitch. Faster loading, clear image quality, no cutting out or “F”. Support was better than twitch’s (which is mainly ai now) and resolved faster than twitch even responds. Actually decent for streamers too. App was glitchy while signing up and I was originally very upset over the issue but eventually support figured out what happened and resolved the issue for me. Twitch doesn’t resolve glitches or issues. Kick is an actually decent streaming service and happy to say I’m team kick now. Also thank you for not forcing us to watch your CEO’s toes… but could go without a mr beast logo on my phone.Version: 3.1.10
No exit stream option.App sends pretty easy to leave. But while I’m watching a stream, you can’t close that stream out on the phone app. If you want to browse a streamers videos while watching their stream, you can because their page is covered by their stream. So you have to close their stream to look at their other videos. Very annoying. If you could add a close stream option and allow for better scrolling while looking at a steamers page, only about a 1/3 of my screen is able to scroll on a page. Why is the steamers info always taking up 2/3 of the page even while I’m scrolling their videos..Version: 1.0.6
PHENOMENAL!I had some issues with the app logging me out every time I closed it out and it asked me to sign back in and agree to terms of service every single time but I couldn’t click on agree… and then the issue with 2FA. I reached out to the support team and within minutes (and I mean minutes) they had the issue resolved and fixed the issues with 2FA! “Full screen” button removedIt was a pretty great app, but the removal of the “full screen” button when viewing a stream has created issues. Now if I want to switch to “full screen” (ie, turn the video 90 degrees and have it take up the entire phone screen) while watching a stream, I have to open settings, disable rotation lock, go back to the stream, rotate the phone to watch it, then remember to go back into settings after and re-lock rotation. Considering that other streaming apps still have this functionality, this is a big negative for me to stick with kick when I have other options..Version: 40.14.2
The new update rules!!I NEVER write reviews but I wanted to take a minute to show appreciation for the changes you guys have made. It used to be that when you play a video, if you close the app and then come back, your video starts from the beginning and you have to scrub through to find your place again. Now the video picks up where you left on which is huge for user experience. Picture in Picture is also a must-have that I’m really glad exists on Kick. If there isn’t a “Watch Later” feature then there should be. Great changes so far!.Version: 2.1.6
One big issueI like the app but I don’t get notifications for certain streamers, for example I was following my cousin and adin Ross before the app launched. When the app then launched I wanted to start using the app more but I wouldn’t get notifications for admins streams but I would for my cousins streams. I checked notifications settings in app and in my iPhone settings but it didn’t help. I even tried unfollowing and following back to see if it would work but it didn’t. Not sure if I’m the only one with this issue of getting only certain streamers notifications but if this could be fixed that would make the app 5/5 for me..Version: 1.0.3
Very EarlySo I understand this app was very recently released and kick is still in beta, but jeez it’s hardly usable on an iPad. I’ve used the app for like 5 minutes and there is yet to be any creative ability from here (again it’s in beta so I understand), and if you take a stream in to full screen there are no options to do anything but pause and play. You can’t even exit full screen without closing the app out and re launching it. I do believe that kick is going to be the next new big thing and I’m completely on board with it, I’m just ready to see what his app is really capable of..Version: 1.0.4

Update the app againThe way the followers list is at the bottom of the “channels” section is messed up now, it doesn’t show the order of which streamers got off live, now it’s just a list of the people you follow with no correlation of when they streamed or not, would like it to go back to where the list went from the last time they went live by order, cause i have people that haven’t streamed once on their account and they are at the top of the list.. for what?.Version: 3.1.6
4/7/25 updateLinks have completely disappeared. I cannot click on any. The clip feature can only be used in 30 and 60 seconds. The reply feature is so long now I have too click on somebody’s profile, scroll down and then hit reply, before I could just hold on their name and it would automatically do it emotes do not show in the chat box anymore. Great PotentialThis app has great potential. I only have 2 concerns (as of this moment) that would make me give this app 5 stars. The first thing is the fact that you can’t update hardly anything in the app, so you have to go to the website, which if you’re a mobile user, then it’s bad news for you. The second (and BIGGEST) problem is the fact that there’s no Apple TV app. If there was Apple TV support ALONE that would make this app 5 stars, but you can’t watch Kick on Apple TV unless you use AirPlay..Version: 2.1.6
Good app, a few kinksThe app functions pretty well, but I do have one complaint about it. I recently just started streaming on the platform and when I would stream on twitch, I would pull up my life stream on that app, so I can monitor how the stream looks for my audience just to make sure if I need to just audio or video levels. I tried streaming on Kick the other day, but I could not pull up my livestream on the app. Not sure if others have had this problem or just something I thought you should look into..Version: 1.0.1
Continue Watching Tab/Feature AddedUpdated: now I can keep up with streams that I miss and it is very pleasant. I was a little annoyed when Nickmercs switched but it’s a lot more pleasant now. Old comment: If I am watching a previous stream that is 8 hours long and I stop in the middle I can’t resume later that day or the next day.. Very funI love the stickers! Chat is so entertaining and I really appreciate that there’s less restrictions on what we can say too. The mobile app does have some bugs like streams unpausing on calls, and sometimes videos will play without sound, or the screen orientation kinda gets stuck, but I enjoy Kick so much that it doesn’t bother me much. Quite a few of my favorite streamers are on the platform and I hope more join too!.Version: 40.13.4
Needs workIm glad they brought kick to mobile devices, but for the love of god please work on the app. It is SO glitchy and trips so often. I know the platform is new but its been out for a while where I feel like it shouldn’t be this slow and glitchy. Search box is weird, clicking on the stream glitches and if i flip my phone or ipad sideways it just doesn’t do it. I really wanna watch streamers here, but just the how glitchy the app is makes me not wanna get on it. Better than TwitchSignificantly better than Twitch for supporting your favorite creator. Apps are well made, but the TV app is the most lacking one. 8x and 16x scrubbing through VODs would help so much. I'm writing this review as I wait for the 4x scrubbing to get me to the later half of a stream; it's already been a few minutes. The TV app would also benefit from allowing you to scrub back during live streams. These are not just a nice to have when YouTube is already doing it. The streaming channels keep going on and offI really enjoying the app, but I keep getting banned from few of the channels so that they can play a joke on me, and there is no ban appeal button for it anywhere. Worst of all the channels are being a little laggy, and few of the channels won’t let me comment on it because they were being too hard on me and won’t apologize to me for playing a joke on me. But other than that the bug problem also hasn’t been fixed recently and these issues need to be fixed immediately. But other than that everything else seems to be working perfectly on my end. Please, continue your great efforts in helping to fix these problems and resolve them, and by looking into these issues and having some maintenance done on them ASAP so that these issues won’t happen again, please and thank you, you guys rock.Version: 3.2.4
