What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into your device. It works like a physical SIM but doesn’t require a card. Buy a plan in the app, install the international eSIM, and connect to local networks wherever you travel.

• Wide coverage. Get travel internet in 200+ destinations by connecting to the leading local networks.

• Keep your number. Saily eSIMs are data only, so your physical SIM can stay active for calls and SMS.
• Flexible plans. Choose between local, regional, and global options to match any itinerary.
• Top up anytime. Add more data in a few taps. No contracts or long-term commitments.
• Manage in one app. Track usage, view validity, and purchase new eSIM plans as your route changes.
• Built-in security features. Optional tools help you browse more safely on the go. Set a virtual location, block ads and trackers, and enable web protection to avoid risky domains.

Saily eSIM: Travel & Data Positive Reviews
Make sure to activate before you travel…The app itself is simple to use and setting the eSIM on my phone was a breeze. The service itself is good while I was in Cancun, Mexico.
Only thing I’d say is… don’t overdo it with the data plan. I was on a 5 night trip and I thought… 10 gigs should cover things. Ended up coming back and used only 25% of the data. I think choosing 5 gig with the option of adding more, if needed would have been a better idea. If I needed to add, it would have only cost a little more than the 10 gig plan and chances are I wouldn’t have used all the data… which brings me to the other thing you should do…
Make sure to activate the eSIM and plan BEFORE traveling… because if you activate it when you get to your destination… you’ll either have to find public WiFi or use your regular data plan using international roaming to set up the eSIM because it needs to connect/contact Saily to get it working. In my case, my international roaming from my carrier said their partnered carrier would charge me $2.84 per MEGABYTE… not per gigabyte… per MEGABYTE, which is absolutely insane. So ended up having to get to the resort and activate the eSIM over the public WiFi there.
Also… my data usage would have been more than 25% of the 10 GB, if I had realized that I needed to turn on Data Roaming on the eSIM. Otherwise, you essentially may have no data service when you move from one place to another. Didn’t realize this until maybe… 2/3 of the way through my trip.
But all in all a simple service to use and a simple app to use….JWL21Version: 3.24.6
Worked like a charm.As a first time eSIM user I had a bit of trepidation but this app worked flawlessly for me. I guess if you need a local phone number this isn’t the way to go, but I just mostly wanted Maps and email and the ability to send iMessages (only Blue works), use FaceTime, WhatsApp, and generally feel connected. Being on an unlimited data plan at home I didn’t really have a sense of how much data I’d need. Bought 1gb for 3 days in London and 10gb for 30 days in Spain (was only there for 14 days but that wasn’t an option). Left each country with data to spare.
So I spent a total of about $21. My carrier’s International Plan would have cost $170.
Easy to set up. I just followed their instructions to the letter. I guess my only slight complaint is in the wording of the installation instructions - which at one point say something like Activate your SIM (which can be done anytime up to 30 days before you actually touch down in your new country) but that is different than the actual Activation - which shouldn’t happen until just before you arrive at your destination (while you still have internet access) as that begins your clock.
Another thing I noticed - that wasn’t a problem - is that in the UK my eSIM didn’t work with my VPN active, but it did in Spain. Different rules for different carriers I suppose.
Bottom line it was easy to use, did exactly what I needed it to do and saved me a bunch of dough..Adman17Version: 2.5.0
A little tricky but smooth sailingI am traveling throughout Europe and had some difficulty switching plans between countries. I should’ve opted for a regional/global plan from the start; and I recommend to anyone going between 3-4 countries in a week should look into this. Other than that I am very thankful for this service. My provider would’ve charged me 4x as much if not more for as often as I’ve had to use GPS, or message people while on the go. I said it’s a little tricky in my title, but that’s only because it’s my first time using an ESim, and I think I over complicated things looking back by trying to use individual plans for each country I was in. I’m sure next time I need to use an ESIM it’ll be much easier, as it’s designed to be foolproof. I am just a bigger fool than I thought..JoAlex.Version: 3.19.0
Works well in TaiwanI bought 10 GB 30 day package for Taiwan and used it in June 2025. I traveled most of the island - everywhere that my local counterpart had cell service, I had it too. The setup was incredibly easy once I got my regular mobile service provider in the USA to unlock my phone. I would not hesitate to use this again. I only used 4.45 GB in 2 weeks, and was only on wifi in the evenings at my lodging location. However, I did turn off data usage on all the apps except for the ones I regularly use like email, messaging, maps, and safari browser. Find My apparently uses a lot of data but I turned it off when I had my Airtag’d items secured, and turned it back on when I needed it..Ssk193Version: 3.15.0
App Saved My Life!I traveled to Dominican Republic with my phone that is unlocked “so my phone does not work outside of the USA” I usually purchase a SIM card from the country that I am visiting, that way I can use internet while out in the country for uber and WhatsApp. Unfortunately for some reason phone companies in Dr were not able to support my phone. Just before panicking I googled mobile hot spot near me. I had no clue it was possible for me to purchase Wi-Fi services directly from an app which is the only thing I need when I travel outside the country and super convenient being that my phone does not work once I leave airport Wi-Fi. Great app guys this company will to far 👌🏽.Curt Von MartinVersion: 3.3.0
The best one out there for e-simsI cannot tell you how much money I’ve spent on Airalo for the sims to never work! Honestly this worked like a charm for my two week India trip and then a one day Germany trip. I will never use Airalo ever again!!! The data is super fast and reliable and the top up is easy. When you’re down to 0.8 gb, it’ll kinda slow down a lot so make sure to the check the app for top up’s. One thing I want to mention, make absolutely sure that your app refreshing is off! It’ll eat up your data unnecessarily otherwise. And close all apps, don’t keep them open..Tunerof439Version: 3.0.1
50-50I thought that this eSIM for TRAVEL would give me a local phone number in Thailand so my THAI, family and friends can call me while I was visiting there. No such thing happened. This eSIM is simply a data plan, and the only way friends and family can contact me is through messaging apps like Viber, FaceTime, the TextNow phone app, etc.
This EMM will not, I repeat, not, give you a local phone number that friends and other contacts can call you at. I ended up having to get another eSIM for this purpose.
What this app is good for is data more than anything else. But if you want a local phone number, this is not the eSIM for you. I wish I’d known this before I got it.
Well, that’s money gone, but a lesson learned. Thank you!.Saturn Fan 2004Version: 3.6.0
Almost TOO easy to useI’m staying in Guatemala for 3 weeks and this eSIM has been a life saver! Anytime I have traveled abroad before I’ve had to buy a physical sim and it’s always been a long, annoying process and many times it doesn’t work at all! I didn’t have to go to a bodega to get a physical sim or keep track of my original sim for the duration of my trip. The instructions were so clear it took me less than 10 minutes to activate. So far I’ve had great service everywhere, seems like they utilize Claro for 5g connection. Highly recommend..Jbullock56Version: 1.1.0
Worked great initially but cut me off my data earlyI bought an eSIM for the first time and after looking online, decided to give Saily a shot. At first, it was easy—setup, worked instantly, no connection issues. I bought 10GB for 30days. 13 days in, I couldn’t use my data. I checked my mobile usage period on my phone and it said I’d used 7GB. When I was able to get on WIFI to talk to a service agent, they said it had expired with no way to check or track from their app. I hadn’t used all my data and my days hadn’t expired so this was unsettling as I needed my phone for the last two days of my trip. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend it. They’re off to a great start but there’s room for improvement..LemonLuvaVersion: 2.7.0
ExcellentI use Mint as my cell provider in the US, so I bought “Minternational” passes to provide me with service while in the UK and Amsterdam. Well, where I was in England and Wales, I consistently had little or no service through my pass. I was able to easily purchase and activate the Saily eSIM for the UK, which gave me excellent service throughout my trip there.
I was ready to buy another Saily eSIM for the Netherlands, but my Minternational pass worked fine there.
On future trips, I will just plan to use Saily throughout, which is also cheaper..Anonymity!Version: 3.20.0

Awesome service in Europe/Africa but bewareHad the same coverage as the locals. Great service. Awesome digital customer service (not a bot). Reasonable prices.
However, I found myself confused with no service, and running out of data. My phone would show cell service, and the Saily App would say I have enough data left. When I connected to WiFi I got service, and the Saily app got connection.
Then alerted me I was out of data. I would love to atleast go on the Saily app when I’ve run out of data, to purchase more data.
But I can’t. Atleast id love to see a low data alert..Broz69Version: 3.3.0
New UserAlthough I had my initial reservations about using Saily eSIM, specifically in light of the connection hiccups at the airport but once I got in touch with their customer service it all worked out well and I have been happy with the connectivity and service here in Vietnam . It’s a bit pricey compared to other eSIMS that I had used in the past but I recommend it for its reliability. The only thing is I don’t know how I could have used up 35 GB in 20 days despite the fact that I’m connected to WiFi most of the time..RiskavertVersion: 3.28.0
App works great, but you gotta understandI'm not rating the app per se. The app works really well. The problem is that Saily doesn't explain how to use the eSIM when abroad. You need to turn off the primary line when away from WiFi and turn it back on again when back to WiFi. Otherwise, you could get a text from someone at home and incur the Verizon or AT&T ten dollar daily roaming charge. If that primary line is turned off as it should be, texting doesn’t work and you are forced to use WhatsApp instead. Saily doesn't make that clear. Hence the three stars..SunscreenAlVersion: 3.26.1
Fast for remote work while traveling even on an islandOn recommendation of The Friday Checkout YouTuber, used Saily on a recent trip to Croatia and was really impressed. Setup was simple, the hotspot actually worked at full speed unlike US roaming plans. It appears it’s secured by NordVPN, so I felt safer using it for work and in general. When I left it was easy to transfer the remaining data to my family to use it up. And they did..Jedi0539Version: 3.16.0
Doesn't work in TurkeyI purchased data while I was in Italy and when I tried to activate at wifi at the airport in Istanbul the app wouldn't even open. Error messages, even the Vodaphone store help me check all my phone settings & concluded that Saily no longer worked in Istanbul. Without being able to even open the app I could not request a refund till this day. Saily is aware that there's an issue. Do NOT buy for Turkey, find one that starts with the letter M it works all over the world and it has incredible rates.Liv@1Version: 3.21.1
Best eSIM appI have used Airalo for a long time, but every once and awhile I would face issues that made it impossible to use my eSIM. Recently after buying a new plan i was unable to get a signal, after talking to several chatbots and waiting for a human to respond for half a day I gave up on Airalo and downloaded Saily. 5 minutes and I have a working eSIM. Not for BaliWorked ok in Thailand and France but not in Bali. I did hours of troubleshooting on my own and with support, but couldn’t get service in very central areas. I even asked locals and they had good internet connection so it wasn’t the area.
Support is responsive and they refunded since it was only 2 days. Disappointing since it worked in other places, it was never a strong, hi speed connection, but fine for ride apps and maps. Installing was easier than nomad or airolo, until I got to Bali. Now searching for a new provider….X800000Version: 3.17.2

No alerts when data runs lowThis is such a great product that fails to provide the astonishingly simple feature of alerting you when your data is running low. It simply cuts off — forcing you to open and check. If you are out of data, you won’t even know, and with no connectivity there’s no way to top up. This is such an unfailingly simple feature that its absence makes for -2 stars in my book..BbbbortVersion: 3.35.0
Stopped working on the last day.Tl;dr: I could not connect to data on my last day in Japan trying to navigate to the airport, and Saily basically told me I was out of luck and on my own.
~~~~~~~
Be me, navigating complicated train systems in Japan for 8 days. Saily, cute interface design and pretty decent connection during the first 7 days. Sometimes randomly spotty connection, reset iPhone, no more problem. (Albeit annoying)
On last day going to airport, no data. Contact Saily support, tried many solutions, still no data. Told me “Oh, that’s unfortunate, as we seem to have exhausted all of the available options [we will get back to you in a day with a solution]”
Used ATT international roaming instead.
Saily eSIM: Travel & Data Negative Reviews
Reliable until…Worked. Sometimes. Has to mess with automatic network selection more than half of the time I used it. And then, I had to transfer to a new phone. I made a brand new eSIM, new everything just for this phone. And guess what? The eSIM somehow. For some reason, despite being a NEW and different eSIM decided to log to my U.S. eSIM? And installed itself in SIM1? So I’m sure there’s a hour long fix for this. The same nonsense I bought Saily over using my international data plan for. I requested a refund. Do you want to know what refund that is? It’s a Saily credit. A credit I will never use because I’m never using Saily again. I feel scammed. But that’s okay, this is a Western corporation. I got my Chinese SIM in less time, with less money, and it still works. But Saily? $31, and you can’t even get 20GB of data to work in Vietnam? And then have the audacity to force me to refund it was a corporate credit? Yeah. This is literally a Porters 5 high chance of failure business model..OppatwunkVersion: 3.21.1
Cannot be manually activatedThe app ridiculously doesn’t know what eSIM plans have been purchased unless it connects to the internet. It doesn’t take a genius to see that this information needs to be stored on the device. When arriving in a country, the eSIM should be activated without requiring first connecting to the internet.
Common sense says that the eSIM might be needed to connect to the internet. The catch-22 is unnecessary. Saily’s claim that plans are loaded and ready to activate upon arrival is false.
When necessary, the user/purchaser can confirm that the plan needs to be activated. But all necessary information should be stored in the device at time of purchase of the plan.
[Notes to developers:
In your first response, you made excuses for this ridiculous oversight. Yes, I purchased my plan outside the country and it was set to activate automatically. But it didn't because the app needed to connect to wifi to load my plans. Instead of making excuses, correct the error. If you can't figure it out, add a button "Explain why I cannot connect"; then store the analysis and forward the bug report when the user figures out a workaround. You should at least try to be fixing problems.
If you are actually clever, allow existing customers to add a plan (upon unanticipated arrival) in a country by connecting to a cellular network to transmit a purchase or conversion request for another plan.].Conner_201601Version: 3.26.1
Not reliable everywhere. Look and investigate if the country is having issues.I am a frequent traveler and I used Saily in a few countries. After a few glitches China worked ok, DR was ok but Sicily not at all. The help Bot (not a person) was useless. Especially when your connection goes in and out with one bar. They never considered that any HELP might be inaccessible if you have no services. We got lost because the GPS wasn’t working because of the connection issues and lost hours trying to find our way. I finally had to use someone else’s hotspot and contact my cell phone provider to connect to an international plan. Of course, they denied a refund. My recommendation is to find a different provider. If you only travel in popular destinations it’s probably ok.
UPDATE: The company decided to refund my money. I think they realized that there are some glitches in the system. It was the decent thing to do..UtelouVersion: 3.30.0
SubparLong time Airalo user trying something different given the offers and lower rates. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. The service is usually performing much worse than my main SIM card running on the exact same networks (weaker/no signal). It will too often drop the signal entirely while my other SIM has a full signal. The speeds are also not super great, only getting LTE while my main SIM gets 5G on the same network. The app is also not great. It seems like the app doesn’t do anything client side, so if I want to open it up and see how much data I have left when I’ve seemingly run out, nothing will load. Just blank screens until I get on WiFi to see what happened. Reloading when I might have low data left, or slow speeds on my other SIM card, is also very difficult because the reload pages are in-app browser pages. Likely will not be returning when this trip is over..GcodenVersion: 3.0.1
Not for switzlandConnection in Lausanne was extremely poor. I spent a day traveling blind between Lausanne and Geneva, unable to find my way to a restaurant for lunch. Even in Geneva reception was eratic, unreliable, and with connection it would take 5 or more minutes to load a page when I needed direction. The screen showed three bars for data and “LTE”. It was a 10G, 15 day contract, and after three days I used only 4.7 percent of the deal with aggravation. I did a lot of texting which went when I had reception. I bought a Swisscom plan out of frustration. It may be $10 more than Sally, but 300 times faster and unlimited data. Sally knows who I am as I just got off a conversation with them. They declined any refund.
My advice: they only counted the hundreds of 5 star reviews but not the thousands of 1 star reviews. Buy Swisscom at major train stations or the airports. Much better deal for what one pays, i.e., phone line, photos, and unlimited data..Hate the new ymailVersion: 3.38.1
T-Mobile Buyers BewareReally was looking forward to using this service on an upcoming trip. My wife and I went through and purchased plans through the Saily app and started the install process, but it said it wasn’t compatible. Come to find out, if you’re a T-Mobile customer and your phones are not paid off, they will not unlock your eSim features on your iPhone. Saily will not give you a full refund — only credits on your account that need to be used within 1 year. This is ridiculous and shady considering there was no information presented up front about 1) possible limitations to the eSIM functionality and 2) nothing said about the refund process before you confirmed your purchase. On top of that, they make you talk to an AI bot to find all this info. Will not be recommending this service to anyone in need of an eSIM for travel. Yeah I’m sure it’s great if it works out for your specific case, but for us, we just feel like we got scammed..SkbailliniVersion: 3.30.0
Stopped working after 1.5 weeksI bought the eSIM for China 5 GB 30 days package. I planned to stay in the country for 3 weeks and was attracted to Saily because someone recommended it to me as being fast working. This was not what I experienced.
Set up was easy and fast. I did it at home after installing the app and everything was smooth sailing. In my first week of stay, websites took a while to load but did so anyway. This persisted until week 2, when one day I opened my phone to find everything that required net (Instagram, Discord, Safari, etc) stopped working. I checked that the Saily eSIM was on. It was. I checked that I had strong WiFi connection. I did. My LTE showed a consistent 3-4 bars but still nothing was working. I couldn’t send or receive messages, and more disappointingly, I couldn’t check any of my work emails for the next week and a half.
Activates AutomaticallyI live in Singapore and in a few weeks planned to travel in Asia so purchased a month long Asia regional SIM plan. The app notified me that I could install the SIM on my phone but it would not activate or start the plan until I wanted it too. I realized a week later that the plan had already activated and my month long timer had started. I did not tell the app to activate my plan. After consulting support, I learned that the plan had activated because I am in a country supported by my plan. I have a physical SIM for this country so did not intend to activate my E-Sim. My plan is now mostly used up despite using zero of the data and never turning it on in my cellular data settings. This is incredibly frustrating and unfortunate.
Stopped working after 1 day, no refundI bought 10gb for my recent 1 week trip to Japan. The data worked on the first day, then abruptly became unusably slow-- could not use Google maps or even do a basic Google search. I contacted customer support and was told there wasn't enough coverage available, with no ETA on a fix. I requested a refund for the remainder of my plan as the data was not working, but was denied due having already used some data on the first day. I ended up having to find and pay for another data provider for the remainder of my trip, which worked great with no issues. Would highly recommend people to look into other providers that are comparatively priced, but are more reliable and have better customer support. I used docomo through Japan Communication Inc. Do NOT use for AsiaHad some success with Saily in Ireland so downloaded the Asian regional sim. Paid for 25GB and for most of the month we were barely able to get 1GB from it. It was absolute garbage and customer service refused to admit that the sim was terrible no matter how many screenshots were sent of different settings etc. we explained again that we have used one recently. They basically expected us to reset and reconfigure our entire phone and all our other services. The customer service process alone was so painful that we would rather just buy a Maya Mobil sim and gave up on Saily. Really Hit & MissMy wife and I just completed a 2.5 week trip throughout Italy. Wanting to keep our bases covered, we got Saily eSIM for my iPhone 16 and Airalo for hers. Good decision because sometimes mine worked and hers didn’t. Other times it was the opposite. But the coverage overall was very spotty and unreliable. We were in major cities (Venice, Florence, Rome, Pisa, Sorrento, Positano). So there’s no reason we shouldn’t have more consistent coverage (indoors and outdoors). That being the case, if you are choosing one of these two eSIM providers, don’t bother buying anything more than 5 to 10 GB because it’s highly unlikely you’ll sufficient internet access to require any more than that. We bought 20 GB of data and didn’t come anywhere close to using it all..SI-22123Version: 3.0.1
Doesn’t workI paid for the plan, I’m in network and am using a fairly new unlocked iPhone. Their flow to download the eSIM doesn’t work and always shows an error message. I spent a lot of time with support trying to figure it out but they had no hypothesis for the issue. Tried resetting my device settings, redownloading the app, rebooting my phone. Nothing. I’ve used eSIMs before and still don’t know what the issue is. Wish they could have transferred me to someone more senior who could actually help debut instead of giving up and saying my phone is incompatible when it clearly is. To add to the frustration they then offered to reimbursement me through a credit on their app - after telling me my decide is incompatible. Do not recommend.A RovaVersion: 3.26.1
Truly awful serviceI used them for Thailand and Taiwan. It was abysmal the whole trip on my brand new iPhone 17 pro max. Never had a connection for more than 20-30 minutes at a time. Had to regularly cycle airplane mode or just restart my entire phone in the hopes it would work. Only got signal when I was outside in public areas, and even then it was super spotty. Often said it had full signal and then I couldn’t even ping google. I ended up having to just connect to WiFi wherever I could to get by. There were like one or two times the whole trip where it was smooth for longer than 30 minutes. Absolutely do not recommend..FalafelessVersion: 3.29.0
Warning—Good for Internet but That’s ALLNOTE: you will not be able to text or take/receive phone calls with this app!
My review is based more on the lack of clear information related to what you’re getting. Saily is a huge app for being travelers. And after some basic research it seemed like a good choice.
But it’s only internet based—meaning you won’t be able to text or make/receive phone calls (unless it’s through an Internet service like iMessage, WhatsApp, etc). I likely would’ve chosen something different if I’d known that, so I wanted to give the next person a heads up..LuckyDucky00Version: 3.29.0
Doesn’t do the minimumI’ve given Saily eSIMs two chances and have not had a satisfactory experience either time. The first time I purchased a month-long plan for Malaysia and I never had a stable connection and it was always on and off.
The second time I only purchased 1 gigabyte for a day trip just to used maps and completely lost connection after just a few hours. I only used maps so there was no reason for my data to run out. I never use my data to stream videos or anything draining, just maps, calls and texts and this eSIM can’t even do that. I want to inform anyone interested in this eSIM that it is not reliable..AG Liew1Version: 3.12.0
Useless eSIM and terrible customer serviceI bought a Saily eSIM plan for use in Mexico City. It rarely worked at all, even with data roaming configured, and when it did work it only provided weak LTE. At one point I was unable to call an Uber because of lack of connectivity in the modern neighborhood Roma Norte. Fortunately I was able to ask someone else to call Uber for me so I wasn’t stranded. Customer service refused to give me a refund because they alleged I’d used too much data (more than 1% of my plan), and they don’t guarantee service. I was never given a ticket ID so Saily’s response asking me for a ticket ID is useless. Never again will I purchase an eSIM plan from Saily..ADJPDXVersion: 3.26.1
No guaranteeI use the service once in Canada and I went fine. I used it in France and I got charged $90 by my carrier. I could see that Saily was being used since the data was going down. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know FOR SURE that it’s working right until you get the bill and then there’s no way to backtrack and get a refund. Saily will just tell you that you must’ve had a setting wrong. And your Carrie will tell you that you should’ve done something else. I work in technology. I’m familiar with apps. If I can’t get it to work, then I’d say good luck to everyone else..StardustedVersion: 3.15.0
BewareThe eSIM only works with unlocked phones. I was initially pleased that a request for a refund was quickly approved; however it’s been nearly 4 weeks and has not come through. It was difficult and convoluted finding out how to contact customer service. They try their hardest to push you through set questions and solutions on the website. Customer service can only be done via chat and only through the app, or via an email through their website. I’m tired of companies that dodge customer service issues by throwing up non-responsive solutions and information as obstacles..Nerk, EsquireVersion: 3.36.0
App On Par With Competition But…The app is fine but the data leaves much to be desired compared to the competition. When Nord bought this app the offered me, an existing Nord customer, 5GB free. I was heading to Japan so this was too good of an opportunity to pass up. However, after just under half a GB of use I gave up and switched to Nomad. My email client wouldn’t work (send or receive) and when I did get data is was extremely slow. I have had none of those issues while in country. I’ll save it in case I need a bit more before I leave but I hope I don’t need it..Crichton007Version: 2.6.0
So very slow in ItalyService and app are fine - no complaints there, but at least in Italy, be prepared for dial-up internet speeds. Even in the heart of Rome, I’d have full bars of 5G and couldn’t load a single web page or app about half the time and a decent amount of time, you only get a 3G signal. This could be an infrastructure issue rather than a Saily issue, but the result is the same - there may be a better option… My wife used her carrier sim with international plan and did not seem to have nearly as much difficulty getting a usable signal..5FergsVersion: 3.16.0
Good when it works but doesn’t work everywhere promisedBought a regional sim that worked in some countries but not in every country promised, so then bought a country specific sim that also didn’t work. Help desk didn’t understand their network was down in this country and tried convincing me to reset my phone (and lose all my data) to fix the problem. They also refused to compensate with either a refund or extra data. Overall, it was easy when it worked, but absolutely useless when it didn’t..Kate LauerVersion: 3.6.0
REFUNDSI first bought 15-day Unlimited data with a coupon, plans change so I refunded it and got it in credits, I went to buy a new data plan (10-day unlimited data) and it made me choose either purchasing it using coupon OR using your credits (without coupon). why the hell this is the option? First, I can’t get my money back. Second, I need to use the credits to purchase a full-priced 10-day plan that was a discounted rate of 15-day plan. like????? I’m not rich and I gotta handle stuff like this as if you corporations can’t Afford to Lose at all. yall appear to be ‘affordable’ but it still reeks of scam..BRUTALLY_trueVersion: 3.25.0
Not Recommended for Travelers to JapanIf you’re planning to use Saily during your trip to Japan, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere. While the setup is straightforward, the network IP address routes you through Hong Kong instead of Japan. This creates major issues with region-restricted apps like ChatGPT, which won’t work without a VPN.
There are plenty of other eSIM providers that don’t have this issue and offer seamless connectivity in Japan. Saily simply isn’t worth the hassle, especially when reliable alternatives exist. Save yourself the frustration and go with a different provider..GujimmyVersion: 3.2.0
Do not purchase if going to japan!!!I should’ve read the reviews before purchasing, but it seems like there is a recurring issue where after the first day the cellular gets extremely slow. I have reached out to customer service multiple times and they have been unable to fix the issue. Finally, they said it was an issue with coverage on their end and they would send me an email about when it will be fixed. It was never fixed. Customer service was quick to respond and polite. However, their service simply does not work!.RandomMaddenUserVersion: 2.5.0
Wasted my time and money on this appI’ve been using this eSIM app for a while now, and unfortunately, the experience has been frustrating. The service only works intermittently—it connects sometimes, but more often than not, it fails when I need it most. There’s no consistency in performance, which defeats the purpose of relying on an eSIM while traveling or needing quick connectivity.
The concept is great, but the execution really needs improvement. Until the stability is addressed, I can’t recommend this app to anyone who depends on reliable mobile data..Sukiyaki1605Version: 3.14.0
E-sim failed to workI went to Tokyo, Japan and so purchased the unlimited data plan for 15 days. The process seemed to go smoothly and everything was installed on my phone. There didn’t seem to be a problem with my carrier, and there shouldn’t have because my phone is not locked and completely paid off. However, once I arrived in Tokyo my eSIM would not work. I tried everything from restarting and made sure I had followed the instructions about data roaming and it still would not work, leaving me stranded in Japan without service..JJRL40Version: 3.27.1
Bad experiences on data usageI purchased the 1TB data and in less than 2 hour, it said I have consumed 50%. The iPhone system record shows 187MB is used during the period. I used this product coz of the same company as NordVPn. I’m quite disappointed..Imforty5Version: 2.2.0
Bad signal whole tripTerrible signal the entire trip and when i requested a refund they said they don’t do that. then offered me a saily credit and said they would cancel the plan immediately if chose to do so. the product sucks, so instead of trying to fix it or offer a refund, you give me credits to only use on your product which doesn’t work and take away what i already paid for? based on customer service alone i wouldn’t bother with them
they did refund me a small portion later, but still very lame.Braxy ROXVersion: 3.38.1
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!I was a recurrent customer of this service until I started noticing a strange pattern every time I got data for my trips. I know what is my usual data usage and I am also aware of background apps that can consume your data, so I take precautions to disable cellular data on non-essential apps on my trips. The last time I used it, I only texted on WhatsApp and ran a few searches on Google Maps. My 3GB of data were gone in a span of 3-4 hours! I was in a different country and had no choice to buy more data with them. Surprisingly, the app shows that I have only used a few MB of data on a span of days, and this time, with far more data usage as I bought a 5GB package. I looked back at my Saily history and I noticed that every time I have been having to purchase more data, and surprisingly, the second time I purchase lasts much longer than the first time. Customer Service said they cannot refund me and insists I used all the data. I am not using this service again, and hopefully people are not falling for it too..Worst service for travelVersion: 3.35.0
Do Not Buy Worst internet speed for ChinaGot this eSIM for China and it was quite literally the slowest internet I think I have ever experienced in my life. Worst that 90s dial up internet. Ended up going with Trip.com eSIMs. I would periodically check whether the Saily eSIM would improve across the different cities I traveled to in China (Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai) but it was trash in every single one. I would not even recommend their free trial eSIM. Even text RSS feeds took minutes to load..Anthony Canada 2020Version: 3.35.0
Déçue du serviceJ’ai acheté une eSIM pour mon voyage à Tulum, au Mexique, mais elle n’a pratiquement jamais fonctionné. Je n’avais pas de réseau la majorité du temps, ce qui m’a empêché d’utiliser les données.
Au final, il me restait 4.29 GB de disponible sur 5 GB et malgré cela, on refuse de me rembourser.
Je trouve cela très désolant, considérant que le service n’était pas fonctionnel.
Si vous voyagez à Tulum, je recommande plutôt d’acheter une carte SIM locale, car le réseau pour les eSIM est très faible.KimLafleurVersion: 3.35.0
Not user friendlyI purchased this eSIM to use in Germany, Australia, and Singapore. It did not work even though I followed all the instructions, installed the eSIM days before I arrived, and prepaid….
And it didn’t work. I was charged a ton of fees from my provider. The help team was not very helpful.
I would try another product!!! Stay away.
UPDATE - I spoke with the development team and they offered to give a $5 credit (a fraction of what I lost). Thanks for giving me the opportunity to lose more money but I will pass..Green travelsVersion: 3.32.0
Bought a carribean island sim for my week vacation. It didn’t work the entire time I was down there. Finally got home to service again, form the airport I messaged Saily support to ask for a refund and was told I needed to still be in the Carribean islands , call from there, and then I’d get a refund.
