Terrible ExperienceI bought the annual pass on MSG+ before knowing they were moving to Gotham Sports. I never had a single issue watching the Knicks play with MSG+ on my smart tv, the phone app, or even on a fire stick. For Gotham sports, it is the worst experience I’ve ever had on any app. Besides the screen going black during the game every so often for a few seconds, I also get a black screen that stops the stream completely until I hit the “Live” button and it’s usually 45-60 seconds from where it left me. Depending on the day, it will stop the stream at any point and say “Something Went Wrong”. Last time that happened, I could get the game to come back on from the first quarter all the way until half of the 3rd. Also, why do I have to sign in every time? The app already has my email saved in there, but I still have to type my password in every log in. I have even tried calling and emailing customer service, and still have not had anyone answer me to help. Wish I was given the opportunity to get some sort of refund from the annual pass of $300+ from when I bought it on MSG+..Zink33Version: 1.4

Awful app on mobile and connectedLook, MSG+ wasn’t perfect, but it’s basic functionality worked. Gotham Sports simply does not. On my Google TV, the app fails to open and delivers an error every single time unless you delete the app and reinstall it. When it does work on connected, the video freezes or falls 45-60 seconds behind and the audio continues playing normally. When I try casting from my iPhone 14, the video freezes after 5 mins of playback and then I have to stop casting and recast every time. I know app development is hard and bugs happen, but to launch a streaming product that doesn’t allow you to actually access the app or stream is just awful. To then sunset the working app (MSG+) to force users to the app that doesn’t work is honestly one of the the worst user experiences I’ve ever had. So far uselessDidn’t recognize my MSG+ login, threw three errors trying to link my FIOS account, only showed the Devils game & wouldn’t swipe to other games, despite the dots below that banner, then when I went to schedule and selected the Islander game, it told me it hadn’t started yet (it’s in the 3rd period). So, after all that, I missed the end of the game. UPDATE: When it works, MSG+ was still better. Can’t rewind, and where’s the Boxscore? Not the rosters, but the goals and penalties? The highlights? Who scored when, was it a comeback or did they blow the lead? All Around Terrible ExperienceThis app and service is downright bad. Your stream will regularly glitch and disconnect (every 5-10 minutes) forcing you to reload the entire app during a broadcast. At $10 per game this is simply unnacceptable. Speaking of price points, there is no option to just subscribe to one team. You either pay $30 a month for access to a bunch of teams you don’t care about, $180 per year for the same thing, or you pay $10 per game, all to have your broadcast consistently disconnect. Why can’t the Dolan’s get this right? Why can’t I pay $15 a month for one team? It’s been one mess after another between MSG+ and Gotham. It’s almost like they intentionally throttle the service until you just give in and pay for cable (they definitely do). Inexcusable Quality for a Paid ServiceI didn’t think an app could be worse than the MSG+ app, but here we are. Let’s start with when the streams actually work: no video quality adjustment, audio adjustments for enhancing dialogue and reducing loud noises with questionable effectiveness (and redundancy with most modern tech which do it better), no information on stream quality (bitrate, packet loss, etc.). Unfortunately, the app/stream oftentimes doesn’t even work regardless of device. Unable to connect tv service provider some times, video hitching, audio drops seconds into stream, stream just stopping completely. Apps/services in this condition should not be available to consumers let alone be charged for. DO NOT pay for this service. Instead, research alternative free streaming options. Why did they feel the need to make this app?As if MSG+ wasn’t bad enough, they went ahead and made an even worse app to watch your favorite New York sports teams. For one, on my TV the app doesn’t keep me logged in and I have to retype my login every time I go to watch a game. Another thing that was already a problem on MSG+ is the constant connection and delay issues. I’ll get an alert of the game score and results 30 seconds before it happens on the broadcast which is incredibly annoying. Just overall a horrible experience that could be made so much easier. False Advertising and FraudI am paying for MSG through my cable provider. At first, I was able to access MSG via my cable provider on the new Gotham app. One day, Gotham suddenly said I only have access to YES, not MSG. When I called to get this resolved, there was no resolution, and I was told they have not heard this complaint by anyone else. This has been going on for weeks, during which I’ve spent hours on the phone with customer service to work to have this resolved. Gotham is failing to render services that are being paid for by myself (and many other customers as well based on the other reviews I am seeing). MSG to GothamI had better luck trying to view hockey games on MSG go app. This Gotham app has not been cooperative to get the version two of either MSG or MSGSN. The NHL app has given me the scores of the game and states it should be available on, for example, MSGSN2 but now with Gotham Sports which shows nothing/not airing. It does play through Gotham, it used to under the MSG app. Please fix this error in play. When paying for the service of MSG as part of our tv streaming package, it should be available through the app (MSG or Gotham). Awful error-ridden appForcing users to migrate streaming apps is one thing, but please make sure basic functionality works. The mobile app gives me an error every time I try to link my cable provider even though I’ve already successfully linked my account on desktop, which is currently the only way I’ve been able to watch Knicks games since the switch. So not only can I not use/cast/airplay the app from my mobile as I’m not able to get past the access screen, but the app isn’t even carrying over a successful TV provider authentication from one device to another. Literally not functionalI subscribed solely so I can watch Islander games on my Samsung TV. When I try to log in, I get an error message saying my email is associated with a social login, whatever that means. I called customer service and was told that I can watch games on my phone. HorribleI was forced to download this terrible app because they moved MSG+ to this atrocity. I can’t watch more than 2 minutes of any rangers game without it starting to get pixelated and glitchy. This is absolutely terrible. I have no issue streaming anything else in my house. I have gig speed fiber internet going to a eero 6 pro router. My house is 1800 sqft. It’s not a hardware issue. Lifelong Yankees Fan Can No Longer WatchAs a daily viewer of YES network and Yankees games, + pre and post games, I am incredibly sad to find out Xfinity does not support Gotham sports. Does not work!!!!I wish I could give zero stars. I created an account and connects my provider. It says I have access to Yes and MSG but the app shows absolutely nothing from MSG, no games not even the channel. And everything from yes is locked.
