Great App! I Love the Suspense!! A+

I spent the last few days going through my collection of comic books. It’s been great! I’ve been keeping them safe for the last 30 years. Every 3 or 4 years I pull them out and try to organize and list them. It’s always gets me nostalgic, remembering buying certain ones. who you were with, when you got them, or the comic store you use to shop at. It’s like going through old pictures. The ComicSnap app made this trip down memory lane so much fun! Now they are organized and I can check my collection at any time. Getting a rough value of my Comic books was amazing. The suspense of pulling an issue out and remembering it, then getting a rough value was very exciting! A+ App I’ll be paying my yearly membership, just having them all organized is worth it for me. I also love Coinsnap for my Coin and Bill collection. They are both great for having your collection with appraisals in your pocket.

Great app, needs improvement

This app is great if you just bought a stack of collectors edition comic books from the guy off the street at $40 and you know they gotta be worth something. As I went about finding out the worth- I found this app ComicSnap! It’s straight to the point. Snap a pic, you get the grading assumption, the suggested sellers value, and other geeky stuff. And it holds true to its value because I have now sold 3 comic books that I got almost close to what the app said because of its worth.. only thing I would like this app designer to improve on is allowing us to see where the value or the estimated values are coming from what source websites is it pulling from? Can you show us the link where the last comics book of that value was sold on? Or posted? That would be more of a valid reference

Daaaez_eyyydoo13Version: 1.2.0
WOW!

I am truly amazed by how simple and accurate this app is! literally downloaded, and in LESS THAN 30 MINUTES, I was able to scan my 65 comic book collection, get their information organized & find out what my collection is worth! I cant believen how great this app works. Can someone replicate this for other collectible items, PLEASE - like SPORTS CARDS! The only addition I would make would be to allow users to print out a pdf version of their collection list details.

Its_jesloVersion: 1.3.0
Great App but…

I got this app about two or three weeks ago and I have to say it’s probably one of the best apps I’ve used for my comic book collection in sorting them and cataloging them to see how much they’re worth. Only problem I have with it is sometimes there’s wrong information like what the issue number is and I have to go back and take the photo again and even then, it’s still wrong. Other than that, it’s great app

Cherryboi77Version: 1.2.0
Awesome app

I got this app to see what a few comics I got from a friend were worth and catalog my collection. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use and the volume of information provided even for free accounts. Literally point and shoot and boom! Price, info, and you can add to your collection. Highly recommend for collectors and enthusiast or even just casual collectors that want to log their collections ^.^

Good start

Needs a sort feature for the collection, would be nice if this had a up or down true market value arrow. Also, where the price info and grading comes from would help the legitimacy of the app. This could be the staple with the right features.

Hoosierdaddy68Version: 1.2.0
Pretty cool for quickly identifying and getting info.

This is a pretty cool program, but I don’t know that I would continue the service. It is a fast way to identify a comic book by its cover and receive background info on the issue. Out of 100 or so scans, two or three were misidentified. Obviously, this is more of the case when it is rare, but it did not recognize some of my TMNT covers and confused them for the first issue.

RGB FoundryVersion: 1.2.0
Just what I needed

I’ve been looking for an easy way to value my collection. This app quickly identifies the book and gives a good estimate of its value. Now that I am aware of their value I can’t wait to see if I can sell some of these for a fair price.

Paddy McMahonVersion: 1.3.0
I like it alot but……

There are definitely features this app is screaming for…. Like being able to have more than one listing of comic books…. Like a Marvel list…. A DC list…. An Image list etc…. Thanks for reading and thanks for this app.

Fritz 1956Version: 1.2.0
Great app

This app is very good at storing your personal collection and the prices they have for some of the books are on the lower side bit other than that it’s an overall great app.

2Skoops707Version: 1.3.0
Great way to capture what you have in your collection

Adding books to your file is as simple as point and shoot. Plus getting a quick estimate if the value of your books is so helpful and sometimes surprising

Excellent!!! Great app!

Best App I have used! Very easy to use and very accurate. It’s great how you can create a collection and I’ve had 100% accuracy. So far this is the app of the future! Very impressed! It even recognized signatures on my CGC‘s. #1

App needs serious work if you are going to make it work. Listing the variation name for covers of the same book, the artist, the writer. Let’s get some more info on these and you will be on your way to making a great app

Great for keeping track of all my comics books and giving me a ballpark figure on how much they could possibly be worth.

Master KalelVersion: 1.3.0
Pretty accurate

Only thing keeping it from a 5 star is you can’t put in quantity of a comic. I have multiples but can’t put it in there please add it it’s a pretty common thing must have to inventory a collection.

Export features?

Pleasantly surprised with ease of use. Will likely purchase the subscription. My hope is they add some management features: 1) exporting data; and 2) organizing collection list by criteria. Not much provided in the way of FAQ.

My Review of ComicSnap

ComicSnap is amazing! I have started a small comic book collection and it has helped me identify the uncommon pieces and how much they are worth. The only complaint that I have for this app is that I wish it calculated in modern inflation and state tax.

Zombie_dude_2010Version: 1.3.0
Great App!

Super easy to use, easy cataloging, and gives real time price updates as they change. Recognizes condition and suggests values based on condition rarity of the books.

ComicSnap: Identify Comic Book Negative Reviews and Ratings

Good, but could be much better

So I haven’t done any comic collecting for almost 30yrs now but have a small collection that I’m passing onto my son. I saw this app and thought it would be interesting to see what the ones I have are worth. I love how easy this is to use and take photos of my collection but the price ranges are way to broad, where are these being taken from?? And the app seems to have issues with reprints and variant editions… it doesn’t seem to recognize covers that are variants of editions and they keep getting the wrong title. And I’ve noticed that when I snap a photo and then retake a photo of the same comic, the “range” changes…. Why is that?? According to your app I have a collection worth $3,000,000 ….. how is that? I scanned a 1983 nestle quick reprint of Action comic 1 and it didn’t know it wasn’t the real thing? Also, there needs to be a better way to organize “my collection”. I’d like to see updates to this where all the photos could be setup by title or prices, or other categories so I don’t have to scroll though all the photos to see what I have duplicated…. The search is ok but if I don’t know the exact title it isn’t so good.

FraternityguruVersion: 1.2.0
I will adjust once fixed

I like the app a lot and its functionality and ease of use but it has a major problem and going through other comments its seems very prevalent. If you snap multiple pics with the comic you will get different values because of lighting, angles and things of that nature. That is understandable to a degree but should be adjusted to where lighting doesn’t drastically affect value. The biggest problem is when you scan graded comics, the lighting shouldn’t matter, the angle shouldn’t matter, nothing about its aesthetic should matter because it’s graded and in a hard plastic cover so it doesn’t need to determine a so it doesn’t need to determine a condition. It should take that 9.8 comic and compare it to the other values and prices to get an accurate value. There is no excuses for having that issue when scanning graded comics. I like to buy graded comics but can’t tell a proper value with this app. Your technology also needs to be able to determine re-prints from older original comics. If you can adjust these things I’d be happy to give 5 stars.

FoIIowTheLeaderVersion: 1.2.0
Falls Very Short

If you need to find the title of a book fast this app is great. Its database even finds oddball books, magazines and digests. If you’re looking for accurate pricing, rarity or key details about a book it has no idea. All books showed up as Uncommon, with only Facsimile reprints of MegaKey books showing Rare. Unfortunately the grading part is useless but what’s crazier is an ASM 1 facsimile is Identified as an original ASM. Same with other facsimile I tested. The system also cannot distinguish variants as it’s all based on the cover picture. Hopefully they strip down the features that will never work and improve on those that can.

R. NaderVersion: 1.3.0
Value your comics but no selling

There is no marketplace or ability to sell your comic. Also, make sure you create a profile first before you build your portfolio otherwise you won’t be able to access it on the website, just your phone. My entire collection is only viewable on my phone and there is no way to change that. Value can be misleading too. A few of the “higher” value comics were mixed up with more expensive prints then the one I actually have so make sure you know what variant is.

Tigerlilly40Version: 1.2.0
Good concept that needs work

The app is simple. Scan a book, data about the book comes up showing details and such. The highlight is of course the pricing…and that is where this app fails. 10 out of 10 books I scanned gave me prices that were way off average. I have no idea where they get their sources from, but I can safely assume it’s Not eBay or any actual market I know of. I wouldn’t rely on this app as a primary source to get a value on a book. You’re likely to use it, thinking you grabbed a diamond in a dollar bin, only to find you that you paid a dollar for a dollar book. Opposite end, you are likely to overprice books if you are a seller. Hopefully they are working on the logic of this issue as it’s the biggest reason these apps exists.

Z0mb1es8meVersion: 1.2.0
Disappointing, missing basic features

Scans great, but so do many other tools. No download. Does NOT share your own account / catalog across devices ( can’t scan with my phone then review on my iPad). Wants to charge you TWICE! Once on phone once in iPad. Can’t create catalogs or even basic tags to group your collection into categories. AND THE KICKER scanning the same comic book multiple times gives different rating and pricing! Means unreliable value of the collection.

Goinggreen77Version: 1.2.0
It’s almost perfect

The ability to sort, filter my collection by information it’s already collecting price, year, basic stuff. Also how it’s giving only the one collective price, would be nice to see high and low of estimate pricing and or kinda give us the chance to low grade it or mid or high. Probably not worth the price without that simple fix though right?

Msalerno410Version: 1.3.0
AI Pricing Gone Wrong

Excited for this app and features. Evident from scans and the broad descriptions of the stories, the highlighting of innocuous reasons for interest, and wild conjecture, this app is not fantastic. Pricing for comics ends up with wide ranges (ex. $20-$150) that land no where near what those books are actually selling for. If you want an app to inflate your ego about your collection, this is it. But don’t expect what it values your collection to be worth to be anywhere near what it actually is.

ChiefMcCloskyVersion: 1.2.0
Inaccurate

The info (especially pricing) is inaccurate. I signed up for the free trial and scanned a few of my books. It was accurate on one of my “grail” books but way off when I scanned a few books that just came out last week. They were valued at anywhere from $10-$150, but they were actually $3.99 books. I’m a seasoned collector with over 6,000 books. I do not recommend this app until they address these issues.

Cómic viceVersion: 1.1.0
Fraud

This app is stealing money from people. I took pics of the same comic multiple times and got a different valuation EVERY SINGLE TIME. Wildly different too. And it wasn’t a matter of it not recognizing the condition because that came back the same. And it’s supposed book details are just fake, generic AI slop that reads like a teenager who is trying to cheat on a book report for a book they didn’t even open. This app is a fraud and should be removed from the App Store.

8/30 platform reviewVersion: 1.3.0
Good, but not Great

This app is perfect for knowing the value of your comics. It stops at that. There is no way to categorize or sort your collection. No filters to enable. It’s basically impossible to organize your collection. If they fixed those issues and added some much needed features, I would easily give it 5 stars

JimmyM16Version: 1.2.0
Values

Good app for finding out values of your comics but once you get them all scanned and get your collection, there’s nothing left to do. There ought to be a place on the app that you can just post them and sell them or something most people trying to find out the value of their comics are wanting to sell them

Sexy beast 69Version: 1.2.0
Not a good option

I am a serious collector and I’ve been collecting for over 30 years. I have a large collection. I decided to try this app to research the value of my Comics just as a one time trial. I did exactly what it said, and snapped the photo of one comic. One of which I know is a reproduction the value it gave me was Over $2 million, which I know is not accurate. So it’s clear this is a program written and run by AI.

Chicago Mike VVersion: 1.2.0
Extremely inaccurate

While this app does allow to take pictures and set up my collection of comic and collectible cards, the database that it pulls from is extremely inaccurate, if this app were completely free, I would have no problem with that, but for an app that I have to pay for I find that unacceptable.

Bodini72Version: 1.3.0
Fair

So I scanned 399 books. Nice to have them all in one place, but the grading review system works just ok. As far as pricing…. Seems pretty unbalanced. I took a picture of 1 book 5 times. Same book. Same lighting. 2 prices were the same and 3 different values after that.

Buwolf560Version: 1.2.0
Not impressed….

Take snap of same comic book, literally the same book and you get vastly different answers. Haven’t had a single value come back near to where it should be. Not sure what the hype is about this app. Very disappointed.

Wonderful......Version: 1.2.0
Bad data

I knew this app seemed too good to be true. Paid for the subscription. Then started scanning my books. Almost immediately I knew that the app was way over pricing my values. And then, I noticed that I could scan the exact same book 4 times and get four different outputs. This immediately makes the app unreliable and a complete waste.

ZukkVersion: 1.3.0
Could be better for the price.

I had high hopes for this app as I have an extensive collection (1100+) that I needed to organize. Besides the visual catalog, I don't find the app to be worth the money. I wish there were a way to export the list, view them by price/category/series, or get more accurate pricing.

MsSchuler5683Version: 1.3.0
Prices given come from the cover

All comic book prices recently scanned come directly from the cover. If you have a .65 cent comic from the 60’s, that’s the value the app will provide you. Not worth paying for the pro and the app needs to get fixed. Wait for the update for the prices to be fixed accordingly to market value.

Steven OwsVersion: 1.3.0
Needs better AI

Utilize something better for pricing, you can scan the same comic multiple times And get different prices, plus it doesn’t categorize the comics to keep me from purchasing multiple comics

BodjenrvdiVersion: 1.3.0
Did not start using

Like so many apps these days, this one requires you to subscribe before using for the free trial period. I don’t like this practice and do not use apps that require you to cancel a subscription before the end of trial. Seems to me that apps like this are just hoping you forget and can automatically charge you.

RDF444Version: 1.2.0
Not free

Asking for payment even before you can use the trial. Second time I tried this app for its 7 day trial it signed me up for a year subscription. I had to cancel this myself. This seems to be what all these apps seem to do when offering a trail period. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!

Darklock99Version: 1.3.0
Waste of time

Why this app got a 4.4 rating is beyond me. It doesn’t always give you the right price. You scan the comic book twice and it gives you one price and it gives you another price. You can’t export your comic list or download it or anything. You only use it off your phone. Because of all this, it’s useless to resell your comic books. If I was to rate this one I’d give it a three.

FjffghjijgfVersion: 1.3.0
Huge sell range.

I scanned three different comics. 1985 vampirella the scan said $10-$50 but Newcadia shows its value at $177. Then 1957 superman #1 said $100-$200 when it’s actually worth $6500 and the last was a joke I won’t even bother insulting this crooked app any further.

PROJUNKVersion: 1.3.0
