There’s potential, but it won’t saveI wanted to play the rpg maker XP game Moémon wonders. It takes a while for the black screen to go away. When you open the save menu, the game barely registers your button inputs. You have to hit enter a million times for it to “save”. But the save doesn’t actually work. The game claims it has saved, but then when you reboot the game again, it says new game. And when you use the in game ‘quit’ it says it’s a fatal error instead I’m impressed the game ran at all, but it’s not really playable if the save doesn’t work. I’m not very knowledgeable about installing RPG maker games, especially not on a phone, so maybe it’s ME that messed up…?.Version: v2.3
Great support from Dev (APPLE LET THE DEV UPDATE THE APP)APPLE PLEASE LET THE APP BE UPDATED I PAID FOR THIS RPGPlayer has become quite powerful in its development over the past few months This Player works incredibly well and runs many of the best MV and MZ games and has support for a growing number of XP and VX games. The games look and sound great, run beautifully, and this app has many good quality of life features compared to its peers. I sincerely hope RPGPlayer can continue getting updates as it is already quite possibly the best RPGM app on the App Store right now. I understand that Apple is being finicky with releasing future updates, it doesn’t make any sense to me if other emulators are available here. I use RPGPlayer daily to play my favorite games I want it to be the best it can be.Version: v2.3
How to save?The app is really wonderful and I get to experience RPGXP games on the iphone!! However, most of the time while playing, my character/moving things would pause for one second before moving again, and it’s kinda okay since every else is working graphic-wise. My biggest concern is that I am unable to save!! I check the other comments and they are unable to save as well despite having the save files. I played both Littleroot Researcher and Unbreakable Ties, and both of them have saving problems!! Please help me fix this issue!! Your app help me play those games and I really want to continue!!.Version: v2.3
A work in progress with a great developerI have managed to fully play through same games, and updates have made previous crashes run like butter. The dev is really putting in work to make sure this apps runs smooth and the difference a few updates have made makes me easily recommend you buy it, if any issues crop up the dev is responsive and has shown a willingness to solve issues quickly. Don’t expect a flawless app but expect an app that at times works flawlessly and its being developed constantly..Version: v2.3
Incompatible with most Pokemon Fan GamesWhile you can import the files for many of the games, most (such as insurgence, xenoverse, and uranium) will not run past the opening screens before crashing (for me at least) it happens consistently and I haven’t been able to get to any of the actual gameplay for any of them, however, I see the dev has promised that a shocking amount of games will be fixed with the upcoming updates, but the discord link within the app is expired, so any errors of crashes are difficult to report beyond direct email..Version: v2.3
App experience so farSo far I’ve only been able to play pokemon comet and blooming beast yet unable to face. I have tried phoenix rising, insurgence, Realidea and pathways but can’t get them to work. Overall, it’s extremely impressive the dev was able up pull this off given the technical constraints. I look forward to seeing how far the dev can push this app. It’s a mixed bag with what games work but from what I’ve read the dev is pretty dedicated to improving this app. I look forward to seeing what they can do with this..Version: v2.3
Amazing appI have been playing blacksouls (an rpg maker vx game) and I’ve been able to finish the game twice and get two different endings, I’ve also started playing blacksouls 2 and it works perfectly, I hope in the next update we might get some slight bug fixes (fix some crashing) but even the crashing is very try minimal, it has only crashed once for me and I’ve been using it for a month now, 10/10, I recommend..Version: v2.3
Some issuesSo far the game that I downloaded runs really smoothly, however it continues crashing whenever I open the menu, and when I attempted to join the discord to report the issue, it told me that the discord link was expired and I couldn’t join. I would really like to play further, and if my issues can be fixed I will update to 5 stars.Version: v2.3
Can’t load save filesPlaying pokemon consonancia and it allows me to save the game before closing but when I load back up to title screen there is no load save data option… only new game. I checked files and I have the save data but it doesn’t recognize it for some reason. I tried another pokemon game (pokemon unbreakable ties) to see if it was the game and no… same issue. Amazing app for rpgxpJust no that not all rpgxp games work but the developer is very loyal and is trying their very best to update the game and make it better. The discord community is also amazing being as supportive as possible and sharing their problems with others and ways to improve :D.Version: v2.3
For a few minutes of playWorks so far. Playing Pokémon mountains for a few minutes no real issues just maybe minor bugs but I play with sound off and not super speed so I need patience. Will dive deeper in the game later to see if there’s any other errors.Version: v2.3 early
CoolIt’s pretty good but needs a rework on the key binding as there you can’t bind most of the keys that are required for many games. But it’s still good for playing ones that don’t have many keys (it can play BS1 btw).Version: v2.3
Starting gamesSo far, this is the only emulator I’ve found that is able to run a game I’ve been wanting to play for years. However, the buttons are not working, so I am unable to actually start the game. I have tried connecting a physical controller, but that doesn’t work either. AmazingWith the new update XP games are working pretty smoothly now. Could use a few extra frames when speeding up but honestly impressive. If you are facing a black screen issue check the log for the problem..Version: v2.3 early

PhenomenalCan’t give this any less than 5 stars. I bought some games off itchio and copied the files here to play on mobile and they work like a charm. All the needed customization all present. RTPs are downloadable and installable right in the app. Love it.Version: v2.3 early

Great butI ran into an issue where the screen orientation flips upside down. I can’t unflip and now whenever I play with my controller plugged (razor kishi) in it’s upside down. Aside from the tho no complaints.Version: v2.3
