Extremely dissatisfiedI downloaded this app 4 days ago it was great I found someone who we clicked immediately and everything was great until tonight as I’m writing this review I had found some stuff on Instagram that I thought we would enjoy so I tried sending him the link to it, but I couldn’t so I just did a screen recording of it like we started talking about it and like maybe we should get something like that because we are getting pretty serious and started looking for stuff and I was sending him pictures of stuff that I liked and what not and then I get banned and back and is like oh I’m sorry everything safe, but just let them do their job and you know the un your account about an hour goes by I messaged the people on Pure in the app and I get a message saying that my account has been banned indefinitely because I was asking for basically asking for money and return for sexual favors, but that was not the case we were just looking at stuff and we were talking about me coming to visit him so we were looking at prices for like flights and what not but I got banned and on top of it. They never told me that that was against the rules when I signed up for it, so I just want everyone to know that you do this just make sure that you filtered it and I mean hopefully they will see this and they will un ban my account because I did explain to them what we were doing, but they didn’t wanna hear it from me so that is my honest review.😀😅😊😌😙😙😜😎😒😃😂😇😍Version: 2.88

Waste of time, unless you like talking to botsSomehow every person that likes me happens to be from the same town 413.9 miles away. They all ask to add them on Snapchat or Instagram. They also all have horrendous English. I don’t know where this magical town is but it seems that’s where every single person on this app resides. Oh and if the one in a million person who is within 50 miles of me matches, literally every single one is out of gas and needs me to Venmo them some money. All with the promise of paying me back when we meet up. Or if they ask me to come over, all of them just so happen to be watching their younger cousins while their aunts are out of town and desperately need me to pick up a PS4 steam wallet game to keep the kids occupied. It’s truly amazing that every person on this app seems to have the same exact issues. Out of gas or needs the codes to a digital game pass? So weird! But seriously, this app is nothing but bots. It’s become more entertainment at this point to see how the scammers update their bots almost in real time. I’m willing to bet that almost every positive review on this app is a paid review to boost their image. And did I mention I got an alert from the supposed developers that I report fake profiles too much? Yeah. UNFAIR BANS (rating 5 stars to be seen)I’ve been on and off this app for the last 5-6 years (off when in relationship) and never had an issue. However, I have been accused of by matches of being a bot or asking for money, but redeemed that by sending TRUE PHOTOS. I decided to cut out that repetitive conversation, so I clarified in my bio that I am NOT looking for sugar daddies/babies or looking for monetary gain. Immediately after hitting “publish”, I got banned. I emailed the Pure feedback team per suggestion, asking for clarity/reason for ban and to get my account back as I did not violate guidelines to my knowledge and the team responded with “We do not give away the exact reason or situation so that you don't get upset with anyone in particular but we can only suggest you read our guidelines more accurately to see where you have violated the rules.” To add on, they ended the email very rude by stating, “you lose. So, for now, that's a goodbye.” It feels like women are being targeted for bans because we don’t have to pay any subscription. At that point, you guys should be charging EVERYONE to use the app to really create the “safer environment” you claim to create. Great app but lacks communityTechnically, The app is nice and feature rich. Filters are great, there are issues when opening the app takes long time, scrolling through profiles is fast until you click on someone. Blocking and hiding a profile before matching is nice but it doesn’t work all the time as profiles show again on the next time. Filters when it comes to couples and destination are not very accurate. But overall the app is nice and would like to point out the security features that can be enhanced to avoid scammers as they are known for using these apps. Maybe a face detection scan every time you login or periodically like Uber does to its drivers help limit scammers that pass verification. Now the non technical down side of this app is that profiles are limited even in big metro cities and the app nickel dime you on top of the subscription to send messages to the others. And after messaging and spending that money on what the app calls gifts, you barely get responses or they will say hello and disappear that leads me to the suspect the integrity of these profiles. And finally when you talk to someone their profile gets disabled due to a suspicious activity on the other end and you lose the money you connected with. One of the best advertisement simulators ever.There's lots of amazing ad simulators out there so what makes this one so special? Well on those apps after you pay to use them the ads go away. But not on this gem! On this one, after you pay for privilege of using the app....the advertisements keep coming! It's seriously genius. Pop-ups, banners, and prompts that never, ever, ever, ever stop. Thanks Pure! You really raised the bar with this one!! Edit: Don't trust their response. They have endless ads selling and advertising their in-app add-ons and bonuses. They're annoying and in every part of the app. There's an ad that pops up from bottom and interferes with your navigation in the most annoying way possible. On one section there's banner ads stacked 4 deep. Meaning you have to tap a tiny "X" four separate times to remove the annoying banners. Do they remain closed for the rest of your session? No. They come back after a little while. The point I'm trying to make is that paying a premium to use the app isn't enough. Pure is the best casual dating app I have used so farAs an executive in a global corporation, I have to devote most of my time to my job. I also travel more than 40 times per year, which leaves less time for dating or a girlfriend. Being in a city for just a couple of days left me with choosing casual dates with young women as my favorite option. I used to use Tinder, but it has gotten pretty much a hassle in the last time. Way too complicated and most profiles are not even active it seems. Ever since I discovered Pure, I have to spend much less time finding a suitable girl for a night or two. Pure just completely takes away any kind of waiting or hesitation. It's Yes or No, that's pretty much it. Thanks to thet 24-hour-chat, which deletes itself after that period of time, there's no room for games. The reason why pure is great, but can be better.Pure is the most straight forward way to meet others who are a part of the niche community of people who are into kinky or fringe relationships. Most of the people on here don’t want to hassle with having to talk about backstories and the such which makes getting to find someone who is into the same things sexually as you much easier. Things the app should do is allow the use of tags of users ads so allowing for others wanting to look for ads that appeal to them can use a filter and streamline the process. The king of the hill option is flawed in that you can pay money to be seen by everyone during the apps most active time, between 10pm-2am, but someone can become the king of the hill and replace you 5 seconds later. There needs to be a minimum and maximum amount of time you can be displayed like that. Also the amount of scam artists using fringe apps like these are heinous to say the least but at least for hinge, most of the time easy to spot. Bad grammar and improper use of common slang such as hookup or other red flags have a pattern. Pure can fix this problem by having verification like the app Kinkoo where you have to take a true photo in the app of you holding up a piece of paper with the name “Pure” on the app. Verified individuals should either have a check mark next to their name or should be the only ones allowed to post. Love ItI actually love the concept of the app and out of curiosity downloaded it with no real intention on using it. I found it amusing and forgot about it. Then I found myself in a position of “needing” it and remembered this app. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with it, customer service is always very friendly. It can feel sometimes like they take a little while but they handle any issues very quickly. I’ve NEVER had anyone ask me for any money I guess I’m lucky lol. It ain’t that bad but.....The discreetness is cool and so is the presentation of the app itself. I’ve met a few real people lol but here are some issues: 1. Lack of close people: I live in Texas, about an hour from Houston. I’m used to having limited options if you don’t live a big city but, this app doesn’t have a lot of people regardless of where you live. You get about 3-4 people and everybody is 150+ away. The wonderful features of PureFor the price of zero dollars you get to do nothing with this app and after paying for a subscription, you unlock basic app function and what’s even better is if you want to chat, you have to pay for that or you could just wait for someone to match oh but what if they did it want to spend a lot of money so they can’t really match. Great idea in theory but doesn’t work in practice really at allThis app is such a waste of money. I’ve tried it several times over a couple of years. First I tried it when it was new and there was nobody using it anywhere nearby me. Then I tried using it on business trips a year later and there was only 5-6 people showing up on the app across the whole country at any given time. I recently tried it again while on a business trip in a big east coast city and found that basically the only place in the map with any number of regular users was in. NYC. 5 Star First ImpressionI never considered this app at first but all the recent bad reviews made me get it. Why? Because the developers replied to each one and seemed to address their concerns each time. That was so refreshing to see. Love the art style and *love* the scrolling style (no annoying swipe left swipe backwards oops you’re stupid and missed the match of your life give us $50 and maybe we’ll let you see them again). You scroll down a well designed list, no stress or mistakes. I’m in a big city so I don’t struggle finding people nearby. A few fake accounts but so obvious with the AI pics or heavy typos in their bio. If you have any experience on these apps, there’s fake profiles on each one it’s really not a concern. You can sort without paying for premium, I don’t have to sort through people who want long term when I don’t. You can see who liked you without paying for premium. That’s amazing and I love that. TerribleThey will ban you for absolutely no reason and when you contact them they don’t even tell you why. I signed up and tried to publish in the feed, but got banned immediately. I had contacted support and after verifying myself in email the ban was lifted. I deleted the account, but recently decided to come back. I’ve been having issues with the account and had issues with scammers on the app. So since I was getting annoyed I decided to delete account and just make a complete new one with a new email to start fresh. Again after setting everything up and trying to publish I was banned. Nowhere in there guidelines stated I can’t make a new account. It says that if my old account was terminated by them I would have to get permission, but they never terminated my account I was the one that did it. Confused and annyonedI’m giving a 5 star review because I genuinely enjoyed this app but their banning process is very ridiculous. I was shown this app by a friend and decided to check it out. It was really fun and I was enjoying my time. I changed my bio and was immediately suspended and then banned. I was told that my account was reviewed but after reading all these reviews of people being banned i don’t think that it actually was. Right Ideas, Wrong population sizeThe ideas here are great. Free for women/paid for men screens some competition from the jump. The platform’s safety features fix the biggest problems of location based hookup style apps for people of smaller physical stature that still want some layers of safety while being able to be ‘bad’ semi publicly. The problem is even with free service the population of women is severely limited compared to the bigger apps. The king of the hill mode seems to be the only way to raise your profile and takes the gacha style competition mechanics to the next level. How long will your crown actually last? In my experience 1-3 minutes is generous. It’s not worth $2+ to get that short of a boost even if you are plastered to the top of everyone’s screen. Just disappointing all aroundI thought this might be fun to try but the amount of heterosexual straight men who make up the clientele of this app is laughable/gross. About 65% will openly show interest in you even if there are no kinks shared between you two just to waste your time and try to get you to be into something that is inherently not at all a kink for you. There is also an ENORMOUS amount of men on the app who claim they are ‘dominant’ when in reality they just want to control others bodies, rather than be respectful doms. About half of the men’s profiles I scrolled through say “they are rubbing it right now” or “hard right now” whilst they are scrolling through the app just looking at people. Ew. Terrible Customer Support, Wrongfully SuspendedI am honestly very upset and disappointed that I have to share the terrible experience I have had with this app. I have been on the app for a while and I really liked the app. Recently, I have been revoked access from my account and told that my account is banned. HARM TO ANIMALS!!!!This app allows its users to send disturbing pictures of harm coming to animals. Not long after matching with another user from the app, I was sent a disturbing image depicting harm coming to an animal. Obviously I reported it immediately, but when I couldn’t find any way to talk to an actual person, I also called Apple Support and reported it there as well. My account was frozen and subsequently banned immediately following my report to Apple Support. Additionally, the rating and review I had written about this experience—this review—was either removed or prevented from being published. Decent idea with a very bad implementationWell here goes my first review. The concept is an interesting one and I will at least give them that for now. However, the way they went about is very questionable. Good idea, Needs better communicationI really enjoyed Pure at first and honestly would have recommended it the app is fun, unique, and has a lot of potential. SketchyFree trial doesn't work. I have no complaints paying for an app like this but was trying to, well, try it before I bought it. App Store page shows a free trial. In the app is even a button for a free trial, but when you click on it? Immediately says "payment failed (-999)". I double checked my card balance, definitely not broke. Removed and re-added my payment method to iTunes. Trial still instantly fails. This is a problem with the application, not with my payment. Which is why I feel this app is sketchy. LaughableHad to download this app when it came across my suggestions. It’s hard to imagine any app with a “hookups only” focus succeeding in attracting enough people to actually work. Unfortunately, the developers have the sign-up process arranged so that just before you go online to see who else is out there using the app that you can potentially “hookup” with, a paywall appears and requires you to enter into a paid subscription. They offer a 3 day free trial, which you inconveniently have to cancel 24 hours PRIOR to the period ending or you will be billed. Scammers and poor serviceMy first match was with 40 miles away at a hotel here for a “business trip” turns out they wanted me to stop at a gas station and load up two 50 dollar iTunes cards. Not worth itPure is a scam for men. My aunt told me about the app and to try it out. I made an account and checked it out but the app isn’t free. The app requires a man to pay either a yearly, monthly, or weekly plan to participate, the only thing free is setting up your account. No talking to anyone and no exploring what the app has to offer. I figured something was off so I spoke to my aunt to see what could be the issue. When I told my aunt the app was not free as she said it was she redownloaded the app to show me. She then did the procedure and realized the app is free for women. The app does indeed take advantage of straight men making straight men pay. Then pay for flowers to send to people of interest.
