Excellent food management worst I ever seen.I’ve been going to the Subway and White City for probably about 3-4 years now. I have seen some of the hardest working employees there. I would hire them in a matter of seconds. If you want a good sandwich, those employees will make you a good sandwich. They’re polite. They’re responsive and they’re fast. Only problem is whoever the manager is is the worst I’ve seen. I’ve heard her cussing out employees on the telephone when they’ve called to ask for help. Those employees are left one there at a time during a dinner hour which is plain stupid for business. So I don’t know what you’re stupid. The person that owns the store for having them stupid manager first is the manager just stupid but the White City Subway the only reason that it thrives is because of the employees the manager is rude to customers employees. The manager needs to be removed. There’s been some excellent candidates for manager that comes through there. Andrea was there for a long time. I believe she might’ve been the manager. Job we’ve had Ivy who would’ve done a great job as manager 21 year-old person smile on her face roughest day in the world as she was still smiling. But we’re losing her too. She’s going to Medford store the same as Andrea whoever owns the shop or store whatever you wanna call it. West Columbia LocationI use the app to order my Subway sandwich. When I arrived, there was only one person at the counter working. He asked me if I had a online order and I said yes. He said I apologize, but I am behind three phone orders and then I have this customer.. I asked him if he had any more coworkers and he kinda nodded to the back and said yes. At that point, the lady came out and she had a very and looked at me and got my phone order and took out the bread and started smashing down the bread. I asked smash down my bread. She looked at me and walked out. She walked out on the coworker. And he was the only one there. He became frustrated and was mad because she had not been helping him all day. Evan was very professional and calm and apologize to everybody in the restaurant. At this point, there was five people waiting for their sandwich and two other people that was waiting for their online order. He was very frustrated, but was able to get my order made. And started on the next one. He was very calm, but you could tell he and said that he has had problems with her all day. Better Than ExpectedI got a text from Subway promoting their ‘new’ app. I go to Subway often, so I came here to get it - then I read the reviews and almost didn’t install it. Morbid curiosity and a desire to see ‘how bad it could be’ made me download it and set up an account. There were some glitches setting up the account - my cursor didn’t seem to want to go to the next field on the MasterPass setup, but I eventually succeeded. One star off for that because it wasn’t clear if it was an issue with Subway, MasterPass or Verified by Visa (or the interface between).
After that... it worked fine. The user interface wasn’t immediately intuitive until I realized they were sort of replicating the interaction between the customer and the ‘sandwich artist’ going down the line in the store - which probably works well from the perspective of the people receiving the orders and making the sandwiches. And it worked fine for me once I figured out the metaphor. I was able to order my sandwich on the bread I wanted, with the cheese I wanted. I was able to delete the lettuce and add spinach and banana peppers. Placing the order and paying were seamless, something I was concerned about because of the setup clunkiness. When I went to pick up my order it was ready and correct. That pretty much covers what I want from this app. I haven’t tried the favorites function yet or tried ordering from a different Subway. Maybe those will present some challenges; time will tell. But from what I’ve seen so far- I’m quite satisfied..The Jaded OptimistVersion: 7.3.0
Utilize the special instructions!!I'm giving this three stars simply because I happened to have a good experience. I was able to customize my sandwich the way I wanted it but then again, I didn't order anything fancy it was just a cold cut combo. However they did not have my preferred chips option, they only have five options listed on the app even though subway stores have way more options than that. I went ahead and selected lays original flavor chips even though I intended to get lays salt and vinegar kettle cooked chips. So I just put in the special instructions that I wanted the salt and vinegar chips instead of the original flavored chips and the employee that was there saw that and was able to get my order ready the way I wanted it. When I got to the store to pick it up the employee mentioned how the app should include all the chips options that your specific subway has to choose from. Otherwise you risk losing business because people won't know what options they can choose from and may not like the options that are listed on the app. But aside from that, I had a good experience. My food was ready on time so that was good, I'm not too hard to please. I just suggest anyone using this app to utilize special instructions so that your sandwich or whatever else is a part of your order comes out the way you want it to if the app doesn't list the options you want. No wordsEver since I laid eyes on my Subway sandwich. I knew this was the app for me. Its extraordinary presence in my phone has given me the chance to receive points and rewards that I couldn’t have ever imagined. I hope this will be the same for other subway customers. The subways in my area have either close down or too far away to order the freshest of the fresh . It was a real heart break for me, but I knew this would be the biggest comeback of the year. When the subway left my mall… My heart was torn to shreds, the people there are so fat that they had a Subway sandwich kicked out of the food court of the mall… it was really really hard for me to even comprehend this amount of fatness that America has provided for our citizens. A beginnerI just signed up and it was pretty painless. I’m typically very frustrated by the time I’m finished unless I Chuck my Phone out the window before I’m done. The application/ sign up process was easy. Ordering sandwiches was a step by step process and the pictures make it easy to follow. I forgot to order my choice of cheese but in the checkout yiu have one last chance to add or subtract items. Also the locations chapter was easy to follow and subway allows Apple Maps so I’m not forced to download another map app I don’t necessarily want, thanks for that consideration. To summarize; my lengthy review; signing up is breeze just read the instructions & follow the steps. If you’re not on your own turf Locating a store is a cinch if you know where you are. If you don’t know where you are it’s likely you need more than a sandwich. I found this app to be problem free. Besides there really isn’t a Cadillac problem that can’t be fixed with a stomach full of Subway is there? Slow your roll (wheat , Italian, or artisan lol couldn’t help it ) slow your roll you’ll be unwrapping that delicious 12 inches of Yummy in no time. Cant eat the whole thing? Where’s the RewardsThe app is convenient when it works. I say that because so often I go through the pains of buying online and I get to the end and get an error. This happens frequently. I resubmit, start over , etc. same stupid error message. And there is no one to call and ask for assistance. I keep the app current on my iPhone. The next day it may or may not work again. I also think going through the menu is slow and clumsy.
I also try to get my order straight in advance so when I am ready and I hit the purchase button I know it will be fresh. This is typically the time I am hurried and do not want to step through the menu. But I still want Subway Fresh, right. But today something changed and when I went back to my order to submit payment it appeared to be missing. So I ordered all over again and then noticed I had two subs in the queue. So I had to figure out how to cancel one of them. My order changed slightly and I couldn’t tell which one I was canceling.
So what is my reward for continuing to use the app and buy from Subway. There is none. No rewards for buying your subs 3-4 days a week. No extra discounts. No buy 4 get the 5th free. Nada. And I don’t expect anyone will respond to my input. So Surprise me, Subway..RonwiltVersion: 7.3.1
Casey storeI done my online order. I was there 45 minutes the girl working there didn’t know what she was doing. It was the day of the eclipse. I didn’t see a lot of cars in the parking lot, but she said her lobby was full when I looked in there I saw one table, some guy pulled away because he was waiting. I was tired of waiting so I pulled up to the drive then I asked if I could go ahead and drive through for my order they said yes when I got to the window, she was so frustrated. I would give this app 0 stars but the app, doesn’t allow u to that, like everything else in itThis app never works. I can’t pay with it, and I put funds of 50$ on previous version that had been working great. After I put funds sometimes at the beginning of 2017, somebody at Subway decided that they need to change the working app, with this one that don’t. After that for almost 3-4 months, my funds were stuck with no option in the app, to pay with it. After that this app came along and I tried to pay at least 30 time with it, and I did only few times. No customer service, just ripped off!I downloaded this app because they had any sub for 6.99. I ordered two subs. Both should be 6.99. I took screen shots to make sure I didn’t misread anything. Even my receipt says the same “any sub $6.99.” I went through the app because I was over charged! The app says it works send me an email to reply to. 1 week later, still no email. I went through the app again, still no email. I V googled the company complaint number, finally getting somewhere - Not a chance. Referred back to their faulty chat bot. Third time - still no email. I called the local store. Explained the situation and was asking for a phone number for customer service. They have the same info I already have but son w it was with the app they cant help! Ricky is the Absolute Best!Ricky works at the only 24 hr store in the heart of downtown pigeon forge, I’m a regular late at night as it’s the only quick convenient healthy place to grab a bite to eat late after work and Ricky is always so slammed. He’s got a line out the door and tickets lined up 2030 tickets lined up on the counter and he’s always on the only man there by himself, and he manages to get everybody in and out in a timely manner. He has a positive attitude that man deserves a raise.
I don’t understand how he does that job. I don’t understand how he performs that job that should take at least three people in the amount of time that he does that man deserves a promotion. Very buggyAre used this app about three days ago and it worked fine. I was able to go to my recent orders and replace the same order without any problems. Then I upgraded the app. When I tried to use it today I was unable to re-order one of my orders from previous days. I had to start an order from scratch. When I got to the subway restaurant about 20 minutes after placing my order, they could not find my order then they found his body had a hard time because they did not find my name on the order even though I had placed the order using my Subway account with my name on it. Now I am trying to test the app again and I get a screen that says I need to update it when I press the green update button at the bottom of the screen nothing happens. I went to the App Store to download the update but I am having the same problem. InconsistentThis is a good app and that I have been pleasantly surprised with two dollar rewards on several occasions and have gotten accurately made subs in a timely manner from locations I have ordered through the app with. However, glitches are to be expected and if it acts like a jerk, I usually default to avoiding Subway altogether and coming up with a different meal option (wasn’t meant to be mentality). And- payment process is a beast, namely if you have a gift card that does not cover the balance due. For some ridiculous reason it does not allow you to pay with a remaining gift card balance and a credit card to cover the difference. I attempted to “reload“ the Subway card with a couple extra dollars several times so I could get rid of the gift card balance, and after two attempts putting my cc info in (it doesn’t allow autofill), finally getting the information to save…clicked reload card to no avail and nothing happens aside from a click. Re:Counter EmployeeI understand that it is hard to find people to work these days but if you are going to put someone on the counter who has to interact with customers they better speak clear English. Multiple times while your employee was making my sub he asked me questions & I just could not understand him. He had to point to what he was asking me about. Definitely not good customer service. Prior to this store being bought out by new owners the employees were very diverse & you could definitely understand them. I have been to this store multiple times with the same results. I would like to see more diversity, hire more Hispanic, Asians, Blacks & Whites. If this is a family owned business they need to hire outside their family. On a side note, the Dunkin Donuts around the corner from Subway falls into the same category, hard to understand the employees & all look like they are from the same family. Subway support helped solve accessibility issue with VoiceOver! Might have been iOS version issue.THANKS to Subway phone tech support, we figured out what the issue might have been.
I'm running iOS version 12.4.1 on my iPhone. I was impressed when the support person with whom I spoke actually knew how to turn on VoiceOver, and try the app using it with his phone. He was running iOS 13.3, and I heard the app working as it should, getting past the first screen. He also had a coworker try it with iOS 13.3 on an older phone.
So, we arrived at the solution that I would update my iPod Touch, and see if I can get past the first screen with it. When I tried that the next day, sure enough, it did work!
And now, for whatever reason, it's again working on my phone at iOS 12.4.1, too, when the other day, I could double tap until the cows come home, and it wouldn't go anywhere past the initial screen.

Worst restaurant app out thereWe’ve used this app twice, and twice it failed. The first time, we sent our order in, got a confirmation, had the money taken from our account, but the restaurant never actually received the order. She couldn’t just make the sandwiches and give them to us because she wouldn’t be able to account for them without the order, but we couldn’t get our money back either because again, the order didn’t go through.
She gave us a number for subway to call and cancel the order to start the refund, but there was not one extension associated with that number that had someone answering the phone and all other numbers online lead back to the same place. I had to email and heard back within the next couple of days and had our money returned a few days after that.
Just used the app for the second time and changed the location to a store in our current area (about 20 miles from the first location). We put the order in, everything was correct including the store location local to us, and the order confirmation came back with the first location having received the order. I called that store immediately so that they wouldn’t start making the food, and the girl was nice enough to say that she’d put the cancellation in for me, but here we go again waiting 2-3 days for the money to show back up in our account.
Don’t waste your time with this app. Not worth the trouble at all. Not even worth the app only deals, since when your order is messed up you have to wait for the refund anyway.LAXMAMA27Version: 30.3.0
Not great...Especially compared to the competition (places like Taco Bell, Sonic, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks, which all have excellent apps), I find this app to be buggy and inconvenient. Adding toppings and sauces to subs is more cumbersome than it should be and I usually experience a lag when trying to remove toppings. The options online often don’t match up with the store. Salt apparently isn’t an option using the app, although pepper is? Maybe the issues lie with my local Subway’s inventory, but I also can’t select chip options that I know they have in store. There’s no way to specify what kind of fountain drink you want if you add it as a stand-alone item (can only specify if it’s part of a meal). As a result, I have to use the special request section to correct my order since it isn’t accurate and even then I just end up having to grab everything myself when I get to the store. Also, ‘Make it a meal?’ shows up for subs but not for personal pizzas, even though every Subway I’ve ever gone to offers up the option of making my pizza a meal. Had to try adding my credit card about 4 times before it finally saved it (even though I didn’t change any info from the first attempt to the last... it was just being buggy). Buggy and slow when trying to remove items from the cart. Finally, it’s probably human error somewhere in the process, but the tracker often won’t register that I’ve picked up my order, so I’ll see a reminder on the app homepage saying I have an order ready..Csfrost1986Version: 27.0.3
CHECK THE LOCATION YOU’RE MAKING AN ORDERThe app is great, and I love Subway, HOWEVER, this app misses in confirming the location you want to make an order from and you CANNOT cancel on your end, additionally THE WORST PART is STORES DONT KNOW THIS. I keep ordering from different locations and this app fails in prompting what location you want to order from. Other apps put it as the first step, but this one takes your last order location and doesn’t ask you again. I keep placing an order to a wrong location, and because I can’t cancel on my end, I called the stores. 4 out 5 times this has happened, they say “you have to cancel” and I have to insist I can’t do it and they finally figure it out, and I ended up receiving my refund. However this last week, THIS APP FAILURE MADE ME LOSE MONEY. I again, placed the order for the wrong location by accident because I’m usually ordering quickly midwork, and this location has their phone deactivated, I couldn’t cancel on my end and no one to contact to ask for a refund. The location is an hour away from me, reason why I couldn’t go. It’s frustrating because even tho it’s my fault for not checking the location, the app should ask for the location for every order and not take the last as default. Just like other food chain apps do. Worst Food Ordering AppThis app almost never works correctly. It loads unbearably slowly, if it even manages to load at all. Today, all of my cards kept declining (when I know for a fact they all work just fine), I used them each of them today at other stores and none are maxed out or expired. The app and website both kept saying card expired or declined when I tried to order. But when I just checked my online banking app there’s dozens of transactions from Subway pending for $0??? I truly hope those transactions don’t post and I don’t get drivers showing up with food that I never actually ended up ordering and that I never got confirmation numbers or confirmation emails for! What a joke! After over half an hour of trying and retrying to order our food through both the subway app AND website, I finally gave up and I opted to order food from a totally different restaurant! Unfortunately, now that I see the hoard of pending charges on my cards from Subway, I can’t even reach the subway location via phone that I was trying to order from (it rings and says no voicemail is set up, and I called multiple times and no one answered) and I can’t find a corporate number to call either! If I get charged for all the attempted orders that the app and website were telling me we’re never even placed, I’m going to immediately dispute the charges, file a complaint with subway corporate, and also file a complaint with the BBB. Subway ReviewThe reason for my 1 star is not because the food, it’s always amazing, but because of the app and customer service at certain stores when dealing with the app. I had called before placing my order on the app if the store participated in the buy 2 get 1 free footlong, which the lady said they do, so I went onto the app and ordered my 3 subs and it did not take off for the 3rd sub. I had called back and explained what I did and that it did not deduct it at check out & all the lady said was “I’m not sure what you want me to do I’m not familiar with the app. We are participating in that, but if it’s not deducting it, it’s not deducting it... Sorry” then I said well if I place the order on the app, can I be compensated when I come into the store for the 3rd sub? She really told me “No ma’am, if it’s not working in the app there is really nothing we can do, you have to pay full price.” If you’re a participating store, then the customer should be compensated for the 3rd sub if the app is not working. The same thing happened at a different store a few days before today, but thankfully they were awesome & put the money back onto my card for the 3rd sub. So, my only issue is that certain stores say that they’re participating stores, yet the deals never work properly.. & the whole point of downloading the app is for the deals. Absolute GarbagePlaced an order at 5:20pm on the app for pickup at the Menominee, MI Subway. Completed the transaction and it told me it would be ready for pickup at 8:20pm. Three hours?!!! Called the store 20 minutes later to see if was really going to take that long. They haven’t gotten the order! She said it usually takes 15 minutes for the store to receive it. So they should have already gotten it. She said once they received the order that they would have it ready in 15-20 minutes. I called back in 25 minutes and they still hadn’t received the order! She asked me to give her my order over the phone and they would make it right away. I went to the store 20 minutes later and showed the woman my phone with the order details which show date, time, order number, store number, location, items ordered, amount paid, method of payment. Everything to prove it’s legit. I appreciate the employees willingness to resolve things, but the app is COMPLETE GARBAGE!!! The store had no way to look up my order, no way to cancel the order, and no familiarity with the app itself. They made my verbal order with one error, by forgetting to put bacon on my steak & bacon sub, which is a little frustrating. The app far outweighed the missing bacon in terms of visceral frustration. Absolute waste of time of an appThe app in itself is pretty good save the fact that it’s not crystal clear how to apply the deals to an existing order. However that’s not the reason why I’m writing to you. I just downloaded the subway app about a week ago, and I have used it four times so far. The first THREE orders had missing items and not just simple items I mean like the missing guacamole in the turkey bacon GUAC wrap. 🤦♂️ luckily we live in walking distance so I just walk back to fix the order. Now the fourth time is the kicker and it is pretty much the sole reason why I will never ever use your subway app again. I dialed in the order and it gives me the ready time of approx. 15 minutes. Totally fine. I show up at the approx. time and it’s one person who just showed up to their shift for that night and has no idea where my order is. He spots the ticket order on the counter and is confused why no one has taken care of it since it’s been 15-20 minutes since that ticket order has been ordered and PAID through your app. Apparently your (probably way underpaid minimum waged) prior shift employee grabbed the ticket, set it on the counter, and clocked out without even communicating to the next shift employee about it. Simply doesn’t work!I would give a 0 star rating if I could. The app wouldn’t was not working at all about 1 month ago while visiting one of my local Subways to pick up a sandwich at the end of a long day! The clerk/server ringing up my purchase did his best to scan the App to apply/redeem my points to no avail. As I happen to carry the card that came before the App with me as well, he tried to swipe the card (which has always worked before) and the end results was a total lockout of my account with the message to contact Subway. I had to make the purchase without my points! I did contact Subway the next day and after several minutes, the customer service rep found the solution to my problem. Problem solved; hardly! Two weeks later, I went to buy three sandwiches at one of my local Subway locations. This time out, the App just kept spinning and spinning as if it was prepping to open. It never did! Thank goodness my old card worked this time out. A couple of days after, I tried to open the App at home just to see what would happen. It opened up without a hiccup. Useless app and terrible customer serviceI placed an app order at my local Subway Sunday evening at 8:40pm. Store hours online said they were open until 9pm and the app showed them available for taking orders. Placed an order and got a message from the app saying my card was charged, the order was confirmed and would be ready shortly. I went to the location (verified twice) and the store hours on the door said they closed at 8. No big deal, hours change, but then why did the app allow the order, confirm, and charge for it?
So, I went in to the store today, showed them the order (which the app still lists as pending), explained the issue, figuring since the order was shown as paid, they could simply make good on it now. I was told that they couldn’t make food for that order, that I would have to order again and dispute the previous charge with my bank!! I just did and got my money back, thankfully.
I also tried contacting Subway directly before my bank, but their 800 number would only tell me (by recording) to report app issues on the web site. Clicking “help” in the app takes you to that same site, and the answer to “how to report an issue” on the site says to click “contact us” under “help” in the app, but no such option exists. ⚠️ SCAMMED AND THEN GHOSTED ⚠️TLDR: Making mistakes is human, but ghosting someone when they try to get it resolved is not okay. I ordered two footlong subs in the Subway app. I got four cold four-inch wraps instead. There was nowhere to fix it or even contact them in the app. The delivery person wasn't even affiliated with Subway. Subway just automatically assigned delivery to DoorDash without asking, presumably to avoid accountability. I called six different Subway phone numbers including the location it said it was from, other nearby Subways, one or two general Subway numbers that came up from google, and the number written on the receipt which wasn't even a valid phone number from the error message I got. They were open, I checked. No one answered any of them. I finally found a "Contact Us" section on their website and told them what happened under "Restaurant Experience" which was the closest option they had. Almost 24 hours later they sent me an email confirming what I ordered (again, in the Subway app) was discontinued and I could have a free sandwich. I said no I still want a refund please and never heard back since. I finally gave up and contacted my bank who refunded it within a few minutes. Shouldn't have been their responsibility, Subway shouldn't be scamming people to begin with. THIEF’S NEVER AGAIN!!First I placed an ordered for delivery. Upon arrival I received one out of three sandwiches and the one I did get wasn’t correct at all. I looked to see if there was a way I could fix this through the app and there wasn’t. This was the beginning of my problems. I then called the store as directed by their page and was met with the most rude and incompetent person. She refused to cancel it/refund it saying there was nothing she could do. When I asked for a customer support number she said she didn’t know, when I ask okay how do we fix this? She stated in the most annoyed tone “I don’t know, I can’t do anything” when I asked for a manager she said I kid you not, “oh I don’t know” are you serious? When asked for her NAME she said she didn’t know. Eventually I just hung up and was going to dispute it with my bank but she did call me back and suddenly was magically able to cancel the order. The second time I attempted to use the app, I placed an order on the app for pick up this time attempting to avoid the same issue, the order stated it went through and they where “working” on it. However when I arrived the place was completely empty and closed!!! Not a single employee in there. How the app allowed me to place an order is beyond me. Buggy buggy buggyI can’t tell you how many times this app has crashed on me as I am entering the order, only to have the order go through. It’s so bad, I normally avoid using the app and either call in the order or use my desktop. Every time you see that timer spin, beware! Today, I started to used the desktop, but saw a banner that said the BOGO50 deal would automatically be entered if I use the app. Besides the fact that the BOGO50 deal still had to be entered manually, the app told me at fist that I didn’t have any reward money coming, but then when I went to push the payment button, it told me I had $2 in rewards coming to me and asked if I wanted to use them. I pushed yes and entered payment. The whole app crashed, a banner came up that said something like “reward error” and my bag of food/cart was emptied. I reordered, but apparently the local Subway store received One of the orders, but the door dasher received the other. Then Subway ran out of cold cut combos (I know, right) and the door dasher left the store because they didn’t want to deal with it and I guess the app auto canceled the delivery, but not the food order. And of course, I was charged twice. Then the system refunded one of my orders but not the other. And door dash couldn’t make the delivery (I called them). The sandwiches were sitting in the shelf at subway. But door dash couldn’t deliver them because the delivery driver had already left and for some reason wasn’t coming back. Door dash told me Subway had to give the refund, and Subway told me Door dash had to give the refund.

App crashed but still charged meI placed my order in the app but when it came time to pay the app gave me an error message and asked me to try again. I did so. Then it gave me another error and said my cart had expired, create a new cart. I closed the app, relaunched the app, tried again and had the same problems. I finally gave up and called the store directly. After placing my order over the phone, I thought to check my email. Sure enough, there were two messages waiting for me confirming my orders from the app. I checked with my bank app and guess what? Subway had charged me three times! Two times from the app and once from the over the phone order.
As I was looking at this information, the store called me back. Thankfully they noticed a duplicate order. What’s that you say? A single duplicate order? That’s right… Only two of the three orders showed in their system. Some thing was definitely not working right. The store was only able to cancel one order and is going to wait an hour or two to see if the third one shows up in their system and will void it at that time.

Orders cancel for no reasonMore than frustrated that orders placed through the app cancel without warning and for apparently no reason. Submitted an order using the FLBOGO deal in the app. Received a confirmation email so began making my way to the store. While en route the app updated the screen and said order cancelled. Inquired at the store when I arrived and they confirmed they did not see my order come through. Recommended resubmitting the order as they could not honor the bogo deal in store. Submitted a second time. Again, order cancelled. While in the store other online orders did come in. Confirmed the issue is not on my end (mobile 5G service full bars and access to other online services, and more than significant balance in my bank account. Was able to get cash at the atm next door without issue either). Could have something to do with using points in combination with the bogo deal, but the app allows this combination so I expect it would have been tested before going to production. As a product owner that works on systems that process over a billion dollars in financial transactions a year, I find this more than mildly frustrating. No way to get back the time I spent at the store nor gas to get there. Not to mention the time to write this review… ended up taking my business elsewhere and am likely to never use this UNRELIABLE waste of an app again. I don’t care how great the UI is or the deals if the UX results in unfulfilled orders. Do better!

Wish I could rate a zeroI ordered and picked up an order though this app on 7/23 and didn’t seem to have any issues. Two hours later, the store called me to tel me that my order needed to be picked up! I had already done so! Much to my chagrin, there was a different order - two sandwiches instead of the three I ordered. I thought it would be simple and the store would cancel the order - NOPE!!! The manager said they didn’t get any money for the sandwiches and they could not stop the pending charges or reverse them so I would have to submit an online request for reimbursement because I used this app - but wait it gets better - I submitted my request that day and waited patiently for a response, but on the eighth day I called corporate. Corporate told me that they would do anything for me either and I had to take the time to dispute the charge with my own bank:/! I was told this subway is a franchise and therefore not part of the subway corporation?!?!?! Customer ServiceThere is absolutely no customer support whatsoever. Several times after instances of being wrongfully charged I have gone through their “Customer Support” or “GuestCare” and never been refunded or even answered at that point. The first time was when the order was sent to the wrong Subway because the airport doesn’t take deals and the automatic location was set to the one outside, which definitely could be my fault sure but even after calling they told me I could get a refund if I went through the email process. I never got a refund and went on with my life. Then more recently I got charged from an order in Illinois. I got a call from an Illinois order asking me if I had placed an order because it seemed suspicious and I said I never placed that order and that I’m not even in Illinois. She said she would cancel the order but instead they made the sandwich anyways and gave it to the person and that got into my account. I called and asked if they could refund me and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. I ended up taking my card off and changing my password. Now, this time I ordered two foot longs with their bogo deal and had my order voided even though I was still charged. Horrible appI don’t know what’s up with this app but it keeps changing my name to my husband’s name but as soon as I go under account and click on ‘name’ it clearly shows my name then changes the name back to mine. It caused a problem today when I ordered online for pickup. My husband went to pick it up and they claimed it didn’t go through. Then I go in and show them the order number and they claim it was never received by them and they suggested I reorder in person and pay again. Upset, I leave. Upon getting home, the app shows my order is ready for pickup so I call the store again. They claim they still hadn’t received the order and that it must be an automated notification. Three hours later I receive a call from said subway asking if I am going to pick up my order as it has been hours since it was ordered online. Says failed when my order actually went!I'm not one to write reviews but This is getting old... This app is still terrible even after the updates. Twice now I have attempted to order and it says "something went wrong please erase your cart and try again" or something like that. One time I completely gave up and went somewhere else only to get a call asking if I was coming to pick it up. The staff was nice enough to keep it on record as an I owe you and redeemed that later. Another time I tried a second time to get the order to go through as the directions stated and when I went in to just order it the normal way they stated the order went through twice and one ticket had 3 meals ordered. I only told it to order one meal a time.. Get this SH@$ working already.. This is going on over a year for Subway having an epic failure of an app. Keep saying they fixed it with every update... Do you even use our test the app? Someone isn't doing there job right. I'd feel pretty miserable if I was in charge of application development! Hope they're getting paid well for nothing! Horrible at choosing locationI have a subway right across from my job, we were pretty busy so I ordered food through the app so I can just pick it up and go back to work. However, the app threw my order to a subway that wasn’t near me. So when I went to the subway across the street, the cashier said she had not received any mobile orders all day. I showed her the app and confirmation and we said that the address wasn’t this location but for the subway down the street. Already agitated I just had them do the order there and I paid. I called the subway where my order was placed thanks to the app and they said they couldn’t cancel it because only the manager knew how. I called the next day and spoke to the manager (Ignacio) and explained the situation to which he said “ I don’t know why the staff didn’t call me to explain the cancellation process because now it’s too late to do it.” He did offer store credit to which I refused because that location is not near me plus I had already bought the sandwiches again from the subway across my job. The manager said he would call me back in a few minutes and of course two days later I have yet to receive a call. App is defectiveToday I placed an online order for a what’s considered a spicy Italian sandwich and I’m aware that it takes up to 24 hours to load you points but something wasn’t right. Hours after getting my sandwich I went in the app and it read,” it wasn’t able to add my points”, so I checked my email to make sure it confirmed that I purchased it. In which they sent my confirmation, but the app continued to say an error occurred while trying to retrieve points. So I clicked the scan icon to see if anything would happen, and once I clicked it. Actually every time I clicked the icon the subway app would disappear, and it would go to my home page. So I checked my WiFi to see if that was the problem which it wasn’t, and then I logged out. Once I did that it, the app said its performing maintenance on their registration process. That’s just makes me upset because I don’t know if this maintenance is going to cancel the points I already have and on top of that I never got my points from the order I just purchased. There is no history of my purchase on the app (before logging out) because there was an error. So if I could be helped out I would really appreciate it. Needs a location improvementIf you use different subway locations (you travel for work), it will sometimes revert back to the location from your previous order. I was in Highlands Ranch, Colorado making a delivery (I’m a trucker) not 200ft from a location. I changed the location in app to that store. As I placed the order it reverted back to the previous order location in Longmont, Colorado from 3 weeks earlier and sent the order to that store. When I got the confirmation email I noticed the mistake and called that store to explain to them what happened. The store manager told me “it’s an electronic payment and there’s nothing she could do”. I asked her not to make the sandwich as I wouldn’t be able to drive 2hrs with traffic for a $7 sandwich.
I contacted subway through the email I found on the app and they responded with each store if individually owned and there was nothing they could do. So I was charged the money anyway. I know it’s not much money but if it happens to even 1% if the people that use the app it’s a lot of money subway if profiting for nothing. It’s a simple fix that they need to do.

Not intuitive!!!Update: now about 2-3 years later with the latest app. I still can’t choose gluten free bread but there is a box for special instructions. I haven’t tried it yet as you can’t even queue up an order if the restaurant isn’t open. I had to choose an open restaurant to be able to see the menu. So far it is quite a bit better to order a sandwich. Still can’t order a kids meal. Fountain drinks are limited to 4 choices. But even two months ago I couldn’t even get the app to work. I will try one last time and then I will delete the app if this doesn’t work. With today’s technology they can’t make this app work and adapt to locations which offer gluten free bread or kids meals or be more difficult than ordering in person or on the phone than they need new app developers or person approving this. Make coupons available in person not just app or online. Online is the same as the app. If I can order in person I should be able to order the same on the app.
You can’t pick gluten free bread from the bread choices. When you want to do multiple sandwich orders it is difficult to figure out how to add it. Not sure how I can use my text coupons. Specials like sub of the day or mini sandwiches don’t appear at all on the app, even adding other veggies and sauces isn’t easy until you try it out by trial and error. Kids meals don’t let you choose drinks or sides. I have spent more time figuring this app out than it takes to go and order. I can’t even finish my order. Overall it takes to much time to use the app. I am sure if I ordered one sub often it would be okay once you learn the app. Needs a lot of revision and some non technical person to try it out before making it public. Slow App, Inconvenient Gift Card MethodThe few times I’ve used the redesigned app, it has taken much longer to place mobile orders than going inside would have. With full network signal, everything else loads quickly, except this app. The current rewards program always says “uh-oh” it can’t load, and when I did find a way to select a reward at checkout, it wasn’t actually applied to the order. I tried using a gift card, and logically, you would think it would remove that amount from your order, and you could use your other saved methods to pay the balance. Think again. You have to have the full order total available on a gift card to be able to use it at all. A gift card has to be reloaded to the nearest whole dollar amount above your total and will always leave an unused balance; if you’re even able to reload at all! The in-app reload link only led me to a pop up browser page with a server error. Luckily, I found the page it was trying to direct to in a regular browser. Horrifically inconvenient. Charges your stored payment information and does not submit order to restaurantSubway app had me so p!$&ed off I had to write this review. I placed an order and paid for it through the app. I was using the only money I had at the time that was on my Venmo card. After submitting and paying for my and my sons subs, a screen pops up that says "uhhooo there was a problem processing your order please try again" and no history in the Subway app of the placed order. I look at my Venmo it was charged and now i had $0.48 in my account. I called the subway to only get a fax machine so I tried calling corporate to get an automated system to make a comment or complaint. I couldn't speak to a person at either number. Obviously at this point I was not happy in any way shape or form and went to the subway where I placed the order to be picked up. I told them and they said nothing came through and they have no control over the app that corporate handled that and my money will go back on my card in 1-3 days. The money did go back on my card the next day but that is not the point. Subway- I charge 30% interest for the loan I provided you, please pay your debt and fix this problem. Threw the towel inI used to love, love, love going to subway. All I ever got was the chicken, bacon ranch on flatbread..before the flatbread it was herb and cheese toasted just a lil bit. Then when they got the point system I was excited about that. Then things turned for the worse. I put an order in through the app, and was expecting to receive my order. I contacted the company because I again ordered through the app. The guy tells me that the dasher is responsible for me not getting the food that I paid for. So I had contacted door days and the woman told me that “because you ordered through the app, I can’t do anything about it because you ordered through their app.” So I contact Subway again to tell them about my order I didn’t receive, he then tells me he can put the order through and it will not be a charge. Just to turn around and delete my order out of the system. How I know? Well because, I got the text message to let me know my order was canceled. So, instead of calling either party back, I took matter into my own hands and conveyed Apple and told them that I would like to dispute a transaction, and within 1 business day I got my money back. Im only leaving this review based of a recent experience I had using the app. I ordered a sandwich from a local subway shop, I got a call almost instantly saying that they were out of almost everything, at that point why they were still even open I dont know, so I obviously didnt want any other sandwich of the two bad options I had with what they had left, so I asked them to cancel the order, and the employee said there is no way to cancel the order on their end……so what are we suppose to do when this happens??? They offered me another sandwich but i did not want another one and then they said I could pick up a sandwich tomorrow…but I dont want the sandwich tomorrow. UnusuableThe new aesthetic of the app is clean. They finally got rid of the useless intro video. But now you can’t even order a sub. Example: if your sub recipe has more than 2 proteins (BMT, 5 meat Italian, etc) the app only allows you to choose TWO of the proteins. And once you choose those two, you can’t edit your selection you’d have to start all over. Ultimately what I’m saying is that it’s impossible to order a sub with a recipe of more than 2 proteins on the app. You can ADD-on multiple proteins but can’t select the proteins that already come with the sandwich if there are more than 2. Please fix this rudimentary issue. And the delivery option has never worked or even successfully loaded before. I tried to submit this feedback via the AI “Sammy” but that thing is useless as well as it does not take “ordering experience” issues unless you’ve made a purchase. Always an issueThere is always always always an issue with this app. I know that there’s another bread available when I go in the store. It’s the 9 grain honey oat. I only saw that option once on the app. The buffalo sauce was unavailable for a couple of months (except for the buffalo chicken sandwich was the only way to get buffalo sauce on this app). That issue is fixed now. BUT NOW, I ordered today and there was no possible way to get the bread toasted. The toasted option wasn’t there. Only on the artisan flatbread was the only one with the toasted option. So on the “special instructions “ I put the word TOASTED 3 times all in capital letters. And guess what, my sandwich was stone cold and not toasted at all. The egg whites came straight out of the refrigerator. I don’t want cold eggs. And it would be nice to have ALL of the seasonings available. Sometimes there’s only one available, sometimes there’s 4 available. Even if there’s 4 it still doesn’t display them all. There’s always an issue with this app. There were times I bought cookies and chips and I didn’t receive them. Terrible appThis app is actually so horrible. The first week I made an account everything went smoothly, and then I was randomly logged out and asked to sign back in. So I think it’s no big deal and insert my email and password, and the system says I don’t have an account. I was disappointed I lost my points but I was like “whatever” and decided to make a new account. I inserted my phone number, to the system saying “This phone number is already connected with this Gmail” and it shows THE GMAIL I JUST TRIED TO USE TO LOG IN?? And I know I didn’t type my Gmail in wrong because when I ordered from subway, it sent me a confirmation email from that Gmail. I contact support, they send me the SAME automated reply over and over again but DONT FIX THE PROBLEM?? Then they say to just contact my phone company, Like what are they going to do? I can’t even make a new account because my phone number is connected to my other account and a phone number is required to make a new account. This is ridiculous, so many new improvements are needed to this stupid app, starting with making accounts with EMAILS instead of PHONE NUMBERS, or at least allowing us to reset our accounts with phone numbers. Use of AppI don’t normally write reviews. I would rate this application 1 and 1/3 stars if I could. I have used the application 3 times the first time it worked flawlessly, I was able to place the order and a pickup time had no issues. The second time I ordered on a snow day(kids had no school). I drove into town to find out the business was closed. My order never completed but I was still charged and then refunded a day later. I explained to the employee the reasoning why I used the app and how flustered I was. I asked her to just make the sandwich for my daughter as I was in a hurry at this point to reach the school on time. DisappointingI’m a big fan of eating at Subway because of how much you can customize things. This app doesn’t let you do that nearly as much. Items like the Steak & Cheese don’t give you the option to select a Footlong, which is frustrating because Subway currently has an offer of $5 footlongs if you order 2 on the app, which this prevents me from taking advantage of. Entire menu items are completely missing from the menu as well, like the Ham and Turkey sandwich. Also, other ingredients, such as bell peppers, are completely missing from the Customization page; but when I go into the local store in-person, they have them in stock.
I also sometimes like to add other meats to existing menu items, but the app only allows Pepperoni, Bacon, or Guacamole as custom add-ons. I know from working at a Subway restaurant in the past that it is just as easy to add items like Salami, or almost anything else, onto an order; yet the app doesn’t allow that.
All in all, these issues with this app have prevented me from being able to order what I want from Subway via app. The Subway website has all the same problems. During this pandemic, that means I cannot order from Subway at all..Jacksonti9398Version: 25.0.1
Confusing and inaccurateI downloaded this app a couple of years ago since I frequent Subway. The subway app is NOT user friendly and is confusing when trying to place an order or take advantage of the promotions. For example, yesterday I tried to use the $7 foot long special. The promotion was over at 5pm. At 4:15pm I tried to place an order to take advantage of the promotion; however I was unable to access it, as it the promotion had already expired before the expiration time. The Subway associate tried to help (cause I was already in the restaurant) and she couldn’t understand why it had disappeared. She was aware that it wasn’t suppose to expire yet and couldn’t help. Second, just trying to place a customer order is difficult!! If you want a standard menu item with standard toppings, then fine, that might be easy. But Subway offers customized options, something that is impossible to do on the app. Ordering a sandwich should be as easy as ordering a custom pizza. The customer should EASILY be able to select their desired toppings, take advantage of an UNEXPIRED promotional offer, and place an order. Update reeks of bad AIThe new look/update is utter garbage. An error saying there's a cart issue is useless if there's no hint of what caused it (user error vs technical). Constant temp banners that you have to click out of bc they stay so long. Removing the ability to label favorites has made it less convenient to use the reorder option, as there are multiple people with the same base favorite but differing topping preferences. Some sandwiches allowing you to specify less/extra on toppings but not others, for no obvious reason. Trying to get extra bacon on an item that already comes with it is confusing bc there are two different clickables. But the most egregious change? Requiring a payment method be stored in app and removing Apple Pay. This does NOT inspire trust in Subway's intentions with our data, taking away the more secure payment option and not allowing customers to use a card once without saving it to the app. This would've been a complaint email to Subway's customer service, but clicking on Help in the app directed me to a useless AI website with a chatbot and no contact info. They didn’t offer an alternative or a refund and mentioned they didn’t have a way of canceling the order on their side so they told me to contact support.
Later I realized the only support available is through subway’s website via their ticketing system which after leaving multiple complaints I never heard back.

Deals don’t work so much broken garbage since updateThere are many things wrong with this app. You can’t add deals anymore. It just says you have to remove one first every time. Favourites no longer let you name them making you have to read all the ingredients to make sure you ordered the correct items.
