Perfect and Essential Budgeting ToolI absolutely love this app! I downloaded maybe 6 other budget tracking apps before I finally stumbled upon this gem. It's superiority is it's simplicity: create categories, enter purchase, select category, done! I'm there's also any amazing widget that shows up in your notification menu so that purchases can be entered even without unlocking your phone. Other apps tout the ability to sync your bank accounts and automatically divide purchases into categories. But anyone who's tried those apps know that rarely does it provide specifics that give you detailed insight into your spending habits. What's more is that your routing number or confidential account numbers must be entered to access the budget reports. This app takes a bit more time upfront, but the level of detail and personalization that can be achieved is phenomenal. The spending summaries show up in pie chart or bar graph form, and you can look at spending habits by a day, month, or year to better understand where you money goes each month. I could not recommend this app more, especially for those who spend from multiple sources. Entering cash into other apps is cumbersome, but Expenses Okay can record your data with just a few taps..HarrisonSDVersion: 2.1

Excellent expense tracker!This app makes tracking my expenses so easy and simple. Since I almost always have my phone on me, i can instantly enter expenses as it happens so i don't forget - it's just a really quick entry. You can add expense categories and associate an icon to it as you wish. The charts available is also very helpful in tracking where my money goes and what i spend most on. It just got updated and it can now export to csv format which is great. One thing i miss though is a complete detailed view of my daily spending for the month. The chart groups your expenses into categories but you need to tap into each of the categories to see the individual entries, so i can't easily check my spending from a certain date for example. I can't even check what i spend on two days ago. It keeps individual entries for today and yesterday only. But other than that i think this is a very handy app totally worth getting if you are looking for a simple way to track your money..Mecha12377Version: 2.1

Best expenses app I've triedI've tried a couple different apps that help me keep track of my spending habits, and this one seems to work best for me. It offers enough detail where I can easily and quickly see what I'm spending my money on, but not so much detail where the user would get exhausted and stop caring about expense tracking (which has happened to me with other expense apps). I can create and customize my categories, and I really like that you can lump several categories into one folder. (An example would be having a separate category for power, water, gas, and internet, then using the folder option to group all of these into one category). The pie chart will show you a slice representing that folder in total. then if you click on the folder you can see a separate pie chart for just that folders subcategories, i.e. all of your utilities broken down. Hooked on itI’ve become hooked on this little app. Tracking expenses is my greatest need. Not income (look at the sister app ‘Income OK’ for that, and not budgeting. Categories are customizable which I love. Could use a few more icons but what is supplied covers all the major bases. I was scanning all my receipts and saving/entering them into another app. This is so much easier since I don’t need a picture of an actual receipt. In the ‘notes’ section I can add as much detailed info as I like. The ‘reports’ section gives a sobering overview of exactly where my money is going each month—each category is reflected as a percentage against total spending. Elegant and simpleI use this app to keep track of cash expenses, as I live in a foreign country and most good personal financial management apps don't support multiple currencies. This is elegant and simple; I love it because it almost hits the perfect mark for fewest taps necessary. I would buy the paid version in an instant except for the fact that the widget (which I use a lot) is a little annoying with regard to selecting categories. Only 4 categories appear in the widget, and the only way to select other ones is to tap through 4 at a time. If the developers made the widget larger to include more categories in each screen, or made the font and icon smaller to accommodate more categories (I think 8 or 10 per screen would be ideal), that would be perfect. Super Helpful Expense TrackerKeeping track of expenses is so much easier with a visual console, quick entry times, an automatic basic summary shown how much of the pie goes where. It's basic and very functional. All I can ask for more is to add (1) calculator function within to not have to switch apps (lazy, I know) (2) customizable ordering rules for the icons representing expense types and (3) more kinds of stats about expenses, like average days between purchases, frequencies, 80/20 breakdowns, etc - those are my top picks for new additions, and this is by far already the easiest and most functional expenses app I've found yet. 3 months of data now is showing interesting trends. Nice tool but...Expenses Ok is a nice tool that is easy to learn and navigate...I love the pie charts and sub-categorization that's also reflected by the pie chart breakdown. Thoughtfully MadeI’ve been using this app for almost 3 years and I cannot imagine life without it. As other reviews mentioned, this app is great in that it’s ad-free, does not require complex steps such as linking your bank account, and it’s very simple to use. It gives you a pie chart showing detailed information based on your categories, and if you want to go back and put a specific category and group them together with others, then it will give a chart based on what you want to see. Simple and yet multifunctionalThis app is really nice. You can set your own categories, group them as you wish, give them pretty symbols which makes finding the right category easy. Reviewing your monthly is super simple, you can choose to show the entire month, year or day and have the charts ready for your groups or subgroups. I would prefer two things. Perfect for expense trackingI love this app. One of the few ones I use daily and rely on. It is simple to use, IMHO nicely designed, and offers the flexibility to create new categories and group them, a must for me. Fast and simpleI hate expense reports and tracking expenses. This app makes it effortless. Add the widget under notifications and you don't even need to unlock the phone. Just swipe down type in the number and enter the category. My only request for an improvement would be currencies. I travel to 3-4 different countries on a regular basis and only having 1 currency system means I can't really track them. Pretty SlickI love a lot of parts of this little finance tracker. I had the hardest time keeping track of where money went before my husband found this. The genius is in having the big numerical keyboard (like a calculator) front and center to make keying in the amount easy. Then a second tap on a category saves the entry. When I travel, I open it up, type in the amount spent and touch the category then you're done. I throw the receipts in a folder. Awesome. Feature suggestionsAs many other reviewers have said, the widget is brilliant! It makes adding expenses in a snap extremely fast. This is a very useful and easy to use app. I don't know if it's possible from the widget, but it would be useful if I could quickly type a note to add to the expense before hitting the category button to save it. Also, it seems there is some wasted space in the widget. Couldn't this extra space be used to display a second row of category buttons? Perhaps it's because I am using the iPhone 6s Plus with a bigger screen. Maybe on smaller devices there would not be wasted widget space but it would be nice if at least for us larger-screened people, that extra space could be used. Good for quick entriesI use the app primarily to quickly add daily expenses. It's not full featured but I don't think that was its purpose. It has not bad graphing for quick looks too. Looking back at previous month expenses is a little more complicated but I'd like. My only quibble is that if the amount entry is 15.20 it displays 15.2. Minor I know..BlerbyqVersion: 2.1

3.5/5 so far :)I really like this app. Especially with the notifications widget. But after using it for only 2 days, I can already see some areas for improvement. Namely, I wish I didn't have to go three screens deep to erase entries. It would be nice to simply be able to edit entries as needed. Hopefully this will be rectified in a future update. OkayThe app is nice and easy to use but no way to save your history to an account! Makes this nearly useless. They have iCloud backup but doesn't work that well - it's already deleted half my stuff seemingly randomly saying it crashed with iCloud. They should just make it tie to an account so you can use across devices and have it sync. And save! Also think they should make it easy to view biweekly or set your own timeframes (like map to pay period). And should support different currencies and remind you to come in and reconcile. Lacking featuresI truly believe in keeping things simple. However when you pay for an app that has the same functionality as the notepad app (that came for free) on the iPhone this is makes for a waste of money. The app is very pretty and easy to navigate. You have to manually type in every detail, every entry, every time. Details include amount purchase, location of transaction, and payment method all help me to better manage my finances. This app has none of that. I believe Evernote will do a much better job as I can make categories. Look somewhere else for a useful app if you want to better manage your spending.
