Sync Solver - Health to Fitbit Positive Reviews

Works well for what it doesFirst, I came in knowing that it would not sync data for challenges. My job offers discounts on health insurance if you meet certain activity levels. Fitbit is one of the trackers it accepts but after I got an Apple watch there was no need to wear a Fitbit and the watch - this allows me sync my steps from the Apple Watch to the Fitbit and then to my work wellness challenges. It does take some work to setup but I understand that-height and weight is private info and there are a couple of permissions that need to be enabled, if one is missed then it won't work. My only issue is that it promises to sync periodically but I usually end up having to click the sync button once a week. That's the reason it didn't get 5 stars..Version: 2.4

No Steps/Sleep in FitbitThis is straight from a lengthy chat with Fitbit Support. They were nice enough, but were very clear that you will NOT see Steps data unless you buy one of their device or use your iPhone as your only tracker writing data directly into Health (inadvisable if you’re swimming or don’t want to live/sleep with your phone on your body). Even though Fitbit’s Exercise tile shows it’s getting duration and distance data from Health, and using that to calculate calories burned — and although you give Fitbit your walking/running stride measurements during setup — they say it will still NEVER use that data to calculate Steps. The same seems to go for Sleep, even if you approve all the correct read/write Privacy Settings for these types of data — without a Fitbit device, you CANNOT include those stats in your tiles/Dashboard. Fitbit will function merely as a weight loss, food, water, calories consumed/burned tracker ... not fitness/activity nor sleep, which is what I care about. I see this more a defect in their app and not Sync Solver, which appears to be doing what it should, but still I wasted $3 on this app. For me, it’s back to Jawbone’s purple-icon UP app ... tedious and limited after years of use, but the only one I’ve found that reads/charts my Steps/Sleep (as well as Weight) data to/from Health accurately most days without undue fuss, setup or other apps (like this one)..Version: 2.4

It DOES work!I just got an Apple Watch but didn't want to stop using my Fitbit. I like them both for different reasons. Fitbit is my "source of truth" for activity. I don't use both devices at the same time. I am able to sync my activity (steps) from my watch to the Fitbit app w no problems. *(saw this on the developers support page after I purchased. Fitbit restriction)The only thing I DON'T like is that it in addition to the overall step count, it adds items to the daily exercise log. It uploads the Apple Watch steps as exercises, 1 per hour. So I have a 7am exercise, 8am exercise, 9am exercise etc with the Apple Watch steps for that hour. (It's not double counting overall steps..it's just showing them as an 'exercise' as well) I also purchased the Sync for Fitbit to Health for the OTHER items Fitbit has and Health doesn't. Weight etc (from Fitbit Aria scale), sleep from Fitbit auto sleep tracking. Works great all around! I'm making sure I don't sync the SAME items between both and create an endless loop! :) I don't use Fitbit challenges so it wasn't a concern for me. Love it! Thanks!.Version: 2.4

Syncs with no issueRead the app details before purchasing. After purchasing make sure you allow all health services to be read. I set it up to read my watch and it has no issues syncing. There's a 4 step difference between my phone and Fitbit but I can't trace if that's related to this app or not. Thanks for building a solution that gets me what I needed!.Version: 2.4

Works Just OKIt does sync the watch and or iPhone health to Fitbit. Unfortunately it can be finicky such as needing to be forced to sync a few times before it actually does and once it does download items such as steps they it never all gets updated to Fitbit. I have read the reasons why it does t always work and it seems to be related to the Fitbit 3rd party interface but the inaccuracies and should be stated much more clearly for an app that charges..Version: 2.4

I was wary but it works!I was wary because of all the negative reviews. But I went for it because I wanted my data from my new apple watch to show up in FitBit. I carefully read each prompt and gave it the permissions I wanted including steps coming from my apple watch. So far, it's working without any problem and I'm so excited!.Version: 2.4

It worked for me!!I'm not looking to do the challlenges in Fitbit. I just needed my Apple Watch to sync to my Fitbit for an app the our Special Olympic athletes use This app syncs with Fit bit but not the Apple Watch. My wife bought me and Apple Watch for my birthday!! I love it but still wanted to be a Unified Partner with my nephews fitness club. It synced like a charm and all the steps were transferred..Version: 2.4

It worked however some missing featureThis worked just fine; however I found that the sleep analysis portion only has overall hours slept rather than detailed info..Version: 2.4

Apple Watch Users:If you want to import your Apple Watch Data to the Fitbit App, this app writes data, but very inaccurately. This is mostly the Fitbit App’s fault though. Most importantly the Fitbit app will not let you use the data collected from your Apple Watch for competitions and other various activities- which is probably why you want to import into the Fitbit app in the first place. I don’t recommend this app but not at it’s developers fault..Version: 2.5

Update - Description not clear but does workJust let people know... You will only sync "Activities" .. Buy you will have have your steps added to your "Step Total". I had to delete and reload app, but seems my total steps are accounted for. Thanks to the developer.Version: 2.4

Does the job as describedThis app just does the job as described. Just visit the support page to see how to setup stuff. Its not straightforward as you have to do advanced settings to make the stuff happen. But it will work. I am able to sync steps data to fitbit accurately. Be aware it syncs only once an hour. So you gotta be patient for it to work..Version: 2.4

Periodic app reinstallSo far I’ve had to delete/reinstall this app 3 times (over past couple of years) when it stops syncing activity and steps from Health into Fitbit. That seems to be only option that works. Also can’t delete previous devices (Apple Watch, iphone) from selection in app..Version: 2.5

"Nothing to sync"It says the "last data point" was several days ago, despite its source (Apple Watch) still recording nearly up-to-the-second information. I shouldn't have to delete and reinstall every time it stops being able to read Health data. And yes, deleting and re-installing does seem to fix the issue. The app should have some way of clearing its internal data/cache/settings. After a reinstall the app will re-request Health access and Fitbit account access, and syncing will suddenly work again. Why can't I manually trigger that from within the app?.Version: 2.5

FitbitThis app clearly explains the limitations of the Fitbit API... in the support after you buy it. Make sure you read the support docs on their site because it's very limited in what it can do. It's not the developers fault, but Fitbits. They should likely lower the price of this app or more clearly indicate what it can do in the description..Version: 2.4

WORKS!!!Just like the other person, I was hesitant to try this because of the poor reviews l. I couldn't see anything really comparable out there, so I gave it a shot and am happy I did. Works like a charm!!!.Version: 2.4

Does what it said it would doI attended a an event all day and forgot my Fitbit at home but had my phone with me, so this was a great option to sync those steps. I wish I could specify the time period I wanted synched. To sync today, I had to lose yesterday as well. That wasn't so good. But I got all my 12k steps today. Yay!.Version: 2.4

MediocreI’ve had this app for a year and a half and I have to pretty much uninstall and reinstall once a month now. Super annoying. Works well, when it works..Version: 2.5

Seems to be working great...Was hesitant to purchase given the reviews, but decided to try all the same and I am happy that I did. Everything synced seamlessly...👍🏻.Version: 2.4

Does what it saysNot sure why so many people have problems. It does what it says it does..Version: 2.4

FrustratingEvery month it stops syncing and have to delete the app, reinstall and set it back up with Fitbit so that it registers again..Version: 2.5

So far so good!It does what it says and syncs all data from your health app to Fitbit. It will automatically sync data throughout day but I like to sync it a few times. Steps go right on Fitbit app right away. Doesn’t do it for challenges as they stated but I just wanted it for the weekly steps with friends. Will change star rating if experience any problems but so far so good!.Version: 2.5

Solved all my problemsDoes what advertised.Version: 2.1

Works!Seems to work great, very simple to set up :).Version: 2.1
