By popular demand, now you can sync all your data from Apple Health to Fitbit.
*** Important *** Fitbit has decided to not allow steps from third-party apps to count towards challenges. If you want to log steps from your iPhone and participate in challenges, we recommend using Mobile Track.
Data types supported:
- Steps
- Weight
- Body Fat Percentage
- Sleep Analysis
- Water
Notes:
- Data granularity on steps is limited to once per hour due to Fitbit API limitations.
Sync Solver - Health to Fitbit Positive Reviews
Works well for what it doesFirst, I came in knowing that it would not sync data for challenges.
My job offers discounts on health insurance if you meet certain activity levels. Fitbit is one of the trackers it accepts but after I got an Apple watch there was no need to wear a Fitbit and the watch - this allows me sync my steps from the Apple Watch to the Fitbit and then to my work wellness challenges.
It does take some work to setup but I understand that-height and weight is private info and there are a couple of permissions that need to be enabled, if one is missed then it won't work.
My only issue is that it promises to sync periodically but I usually end up having to click the sync button once a week. That's the reason it didn't get 5 stars..OseymourVersion: 2.4
No Steps/Sleep in FitbitThis is straight from a lengthy chat with Fitbit Support. They were nice enough, but were very clear that you will NOT see Steps data unless you buy one of their device or use your iPhone as your only tracker writing data directly into Health (inadvisable if you’re swimming or don’t want to live/sleep with your phone on your body). Even though Fitbit’s Exercise tile shows it’s getting duration and distance data from Health, and using that to calculate calories burned — and although you give Fitbit your walking/running stride measurements during setup — they say it will still NEVER use that data to calculate Steps. The same seems to go for Sleep, even if you approve all the correct read/write Privacy Settings for these types of data — without a Fitbit device, you CANNOT include those stats in your tiles/Dashboard. Fitbit will function merely as a weight loss, food, water, calories consumed/burned tracker ... not fitness/activity nor sleep, which is what I care about. I see this more a defect in their app and not Sync Solver, which appears to be doing what it should, but still I wasted $3 on this app. For me, it’s back to Jawbone’s purple-icon UP app ... tedious and limited after years of use, but the only one I’ve found that reads/charts my Steps/Sleep (as well as Weight) data to/from Health accurately most days without undue fuss, setup or other apps (like this one)..Aagg03Version: 2.4
It DOES work!I just got an Apple Watch but didn't want to stop using my Fitbit. I like them both for different reasons. Fitbit is my "source of truth" for activity.
I don't use both devices at the same time.
I am able to sync my activity (steps) from my watch to the Fitbit app w no problems.
*(saw this on the developers support page after I purchased. Fitbit restriction)The only thing I DON'T like is that it in addition to the overall step count, it adds items to the daily exercise log. It uploads the Apple Watch steps as exercises, 1 per hour. So I have a 7am exercise, 8am exercise, 9am exercise etc with the Apple Watch steps for that hour. (It's not double counting overall steps..it's just showing them as an 'exercise' as well)
I also purchased the Sync for Fitbit to Health for the OTHER items Fitbit has and Health doesn't. Weight etc (from Fitbit Aria scale), sleep from Fitbit auto sleep tracking.
Works great all around! I'm making sure I don't sync the SAME items between both and create an endless loop! :)
I don't use Fitbit challenges so it wasn't a concern for me.
Love it! Thanks!.CjharringtonVersion: 2.4
Syncs with no issueRead the app details before purchasing. After purchasing make sure you allow all health services to be read. I set it up to read my watch and it has no issues syncing. There's a 4 step difference between my phone and Fitbit but I can't trace if that's related to this app or not. Thanks for building a solution that gets me what I needed!.Wagent0shVersion: 2.4
Works Just OKIt does sync the watch and or iPhone health to Fitbit. Unfortunately it can be finicky such as needing to be forced to sync a few times before it actually does and once it does download items such as steps they it never all gets updated to Fitbit. I have read the reasons why it does t always work and it seems to be related to the Fitbit 3rd party interface but the inaccuracies and should be stated much more clearly for an app that charges..Travelers99Version: 2.4
I was wary but it works!I was wary because of all the negative reviews. But I went for it because I wanted my data from my new apple watch to show up in FitBit. I carefully read each prompt and gave it the permissions I wanted including steps coming from my apple watch. So far, it's working without any problem and I'm so excited!.ArykanVersion: 2.4
It worked for me!!I'm not looking to do the challlenges in Fitbit. I just needed my Apple Watch to sync to my Fitbit for an app the our Special Olympic athletes use This app syncs with Fit bit but not the Apple Watch. It synced like a charm and all the steps were transferred..CakrwdsVersion: 2.4

Apple Watch Users:If you want to import your Apple Watch Data to the Fitbit App, this app writes data, but very inaccurately. This is mostly the Fitbit App’s fault though. Most importantly the Fitbit app will not let you use the data collected from your Apple Watch for competitions and other various activities- which is probably why you want to import into the Fitbit app in the first place. I don’t recommend this app but not at it’s developers fault..PikazardthedestroyerVersion: 2.5

I had to delete and reload app, but seems my total steps are accounted for. Thanks to the developer.John _SpaceVersion: 2.4
Does the job as describedThis app just does the job as described. Just visit the support page to see how to setup stuff. Its not straightforward as you have to do advanced settings to make the stuff happen. But it will work. I am able to sync steps data to fitbit accurately. Be aware it syncs only once an hour. So you gotta be patient for it to work..WorldTraveler34Version: 2.4
Periodic app reinstallSo far I’ve had to delete/reinstall this app 3 times (over past couple of years) when it stops syncing activity and steps from Health into Fitbit. That seems to be only option that works. Also can’t delete previous devices (Apple Watch, iphone) from selection in app..Depends on WeatherVersion: 2.5
"Nothing to sync"It says the "last data point" was several days ago, despite its source (Apple Watch) still recording nearly up-to-the-second information.
I shouldn't have to delete and reinstall every time it stops being able to read Health data.
And yes, deleting and re-installing does seem to fix the issue.
The app should have some way of clearing its internal data/cache/settings. After a reinstall the app will re-request Health access and Fitbit account access, and syncing will suddenly work again.
Why can't I manually trigger that from within the app?.BitingChaosVersion: 2.5
FitbitThis app clearly explains the limitations of the Fitbit API... in the support after you buy it. Make sure you read the support docs on their site because it's very limited in what it can do. It's not the developers fault, but Fitbits.
They should likely lower the price of this app or more clearly indicate what it can do in the description..GarrrrrrraaaaayyyyyyygggggVersion: 2.4

Sync Solver - Health to Fitbit Negative Reviews
Should be freeThis sync app should be free because it is so limited. Sure, this is an outcome of the fit bit policy but unless you read all these reviews carefully you are likely to be disappointed with the app at large. Your steps will not be counted as steps in fit bit. Rather, they will be counted as activity. Stair flights are not synchronized. Sleep details are limited. And worst of all because of limitations in the number of uploads allowed by fit bit per hour you are going to be hugely disappointed if you thought you were going to synchronize more than a few days of data. The app offers to synchronize back years but doesn’t bother to tell you that you will likely destroy your screen with screen burn waiting the 70 hours it may take to complete. It isn’t until you get into the support details that you discover all of these limitations imposed by the fit bit website. By contrast the other rap that synchronizes fit bit data to the Apple health app is phenomenal and highly recommended..GoogullVersion: 2.4
Sort of works but doesn’t sync automatically. Step counts totally wrongDespite what the app claims, it does not sync to Fitbit automatically. You have to manually sync it.
Update: the step counts transferred to Fitbit are wildly inaccurate. In a day where I have 5,000 steps worth of activity, only 1200 steps would sync to the Fitbit. This may be due to me having both an Apple Watch and motion tracking on the phone, but regardless of the limitations the app has to deal with, it doesn’t do the things it claims to well enough to justify using it. The fact of the matter is that with the way things are between Apple and Fitbit at the moment, you have to pick one or the other. This app is a bandaid at best and comes with sufficient compromises that it is not worth using, despite the admirable efforts by the developer.JesseTVersion: 2.5
No Steps / SleepIt doesn’t really matter to me whether it’s Fitbit’s fault or SyncSolver’s developer; the only fact that matters is that the app DOES NOT do what it is advertised to do. If you’re like me, you were wondering why the original SyncSolver stopped working and just crashes, so you came here and found this. I didn’t read the notes. I should have. I bought a bundle of apps based on what they used to do, but cannot any longer.
Do not purchase this app if you want your steps and sleep info imported into Fitbit; it’ll never happen and Fitbit is insistent that it will never happen. Fitbit is so adamant about keeping their ecosystem closed that it makes me uninterested in ever buying another of their devices..ShinjukublackVersion: 2.8
Doesn't workAfter reading the app would only prevent challenge tracking but would track everything else I decided to give it a try as I loved using my Fitbit app for years and had many friends on my list. I currently have a new Apple Watch and didn't want to give up tracking my weekly and daily steps with friends on Fitbit. I paid and downloaded sync solver and it seemed to work but when I opened Fitbit my steps etc did not show up on my daily or weekly totals. When you try to get app support it only gives you common questions but no one to contact. I'm contacting Apple in hopes to get my money back as this app is useless. Don't waste your time or money. I would have given a zero star if I was able to Buyer beware.NrbevanVersion: 2.4
Don’t waste your moneyOccasionally I leave my Fitbit on the charger when I leave home. I got this, hoping I could do what it says it does and move my data from Apple Health to Fitbit. This app is both overly simplistic and tedious. You start on the main screen with a giant Sync Now button. If you do this without taking any additional steps it can erase a lot of data from Fitbit; you have to go to Advanced Settings first and tell it how far back you want it to go. But, oops, actually, now it’s not working at all! “Nothing to Sync!” it says. “Already Synced” it promises. You check Fitbit and nothing has changed, but Apple Health says 8,000 steps. It’s terrible. Save yourself five bucks. Don’t bother..Twice IIVersion: 2.9
Absolute TrashHave to use the app due to employer health plan requirements and I can honestly say I have not had a worse experience with an application on any platform. Lose steps and data all the time. Constantly have to delete the app and reinstall to try to get any data to sync. Still rarely works properly. This would be a sorry excuse for a free application and developers should be embarrassed at this performance. Updated 2020, app is still garbage! Most recent update the dates to sync back to are blacked out. Still complete trash of an app. No developer response or support. Do not pay money for an app made by these scam artists..Imdkhfdssf kdjgnfhVersion: 2.7
Mobile track will connect your iPhone to Fitbit, making this app unnecessaryI am an Apple Watch user who wanted the Fitbit app to compete in pointless competition with my internet friends. A google search told me that I needed this app in order for my iPhone to talk to Fitbit. This is not true. When you set up the Fitbit app, choose “I don’t yet have a device” and the select the “mobile track” option. This enables a connection between the app and the health data collected by your phone—and only your phone. So far as I can tell, nothing, including this app, will result in the step recorded on your Apple Watch syncing with FitBit. Spend your $3 on a latte or put it in a 401k..FlarahVersion: 2.4
I Should Have Read The Reviews!PLEASE DON'T BUY!!!
My Fitbit Charge HR recently broke, so for Valentines Day, my sweet husband surprised me with an Apple Watch! I was beyond excited! However, I was also sad about deserting all of my Fitbit friends.
I went online looking for a solution in order to sync my Health Kit data to my Fitbit account and this app was suggested over and over again.
I was thrilled when it seemed as though everything was being synced, but when I opened the Fitbit app, there was hardly anything there. I thought I must be doing something wrong.
Finally, I visited the developer site and went through the FAQ sheet. Apparently, Fitbit has barred Sync Solver from accessing almost any data from Apple Health Kit.
When I saw that I had just wasted $3, I tried to file a report with iTunes, but that just sent me straight to the FAQ sheet I had already read, with no option to request my money back. If you made it this far through my review, I repeat, "PLEASE DON'T BUY!!!".PastaziaVersion: 2.4
Worked for a few weeks and now won’t syncWon’t sync, there’s clearly a bug when you go advanced to sync back. The screen is black and you can’t see the numbers to change the date to sync to that date. But regardless of that issue, it’s just not working at all. I’ve deleted it and re downloaded it, revoked Fitbit access and re synced and it still will not sync. I sent a message through Facebook which seems to be the only way to message anyone (or Twitter), but there has been no response since January 2020. This app gets one star only because it did work initially and I cannot give it 0 stars..Ameloni83Version: 2.7
I had three different step counts for 1 day...I purchased this app to be able to use my Apple Watch with the Fitbit app so that I could do the daily and weekly challenges with my family who use fit bits. Not only did the app not sync all my steps but I had 3 different step counts for the day
Apple Watch Activity app showed 12,502 steps
Fitbit app Dashboard showed 10,698 steps
Fitbit app challenge page showed 9,757 steps...
I lost the challenge even though I walked over 2,000 steps more then anyone else in the challenge.. needless to say I am not pleased and wish I could return the app for a refund. What a waste..EllieT9Version: 2.4
Total deceit - once downloaded (and paid) on line support says steps do NOT syncApple Store description of this app says it downloads / syncs steps (just not to the challenges ...which was ok with me...as I just wanted to be able to see the weekly totals and compare with friends).
Once downloaded and paid for, it didn't work and their on line in app support says that it no longer syncs steps. Just totally wrong and deceitful descriptions to get people to buy. They should refund people's money until this is fixed.
I would give this app "zero" stars if I could. Just so wrong!!!.Marie c DVersion: 2.4
No heart rate to fitbitI read the reviews and thought I would use this to get my heart rate into fitbit. I was ok with not using getting the steps in the challenges. But after looking at the instructions there was clearly a place to allow heart rate!!! After I purchase and go through troubleshooting steps I find out I’m accepting the heart rate in ANTICIPATION of this app being allowed to work with Fitbit that way. I want my money back. At this point I feel like the developer owes us money. There’s no need. This does the same thing my fitnesspal does. Save your money. Trust the reviews..KammmiiiiiiiiiVersion: 2.4
Continually loses connectionAs the title says - and does not tell you it’s happening. So while it works when it works, it will just stop working for no discernible reason. And this has happened over several months (almost a year) now, so it’s not being fixed in updates.
What happens:
1. Connect Sync Solver to Shapa & Fitbit
2. Sync - for a month or so, works beautifully.
3. Check weight in Apple Health - yep, that also works.
4. Wait.
5. One day, use Sync Solver, get “nothing to sync”
6. Check Apple Health - yep, that still connects fine to Shapa.
7. Check Fitbit - nope, nothing getting synced.
8. Delete Sync Solver.
9. Re-add Sync Solver.
10. Re-connect Sync Solver.
11. Repeat steps 1-10 ad Infinitum, ad nauseam..TwickerVersion: 2.8

Does not workI downloaded the app as a way to sync to Fitbit, to keep up with my friends who don't have an Apple watch.
After several attempts to sync it, and the app reporting success, I saw none of my data from the Apple watch synced with Fitbit.
You're better off enabling Fitbit's mobile sync; it's not as accurate as the Apple watch, access needs to be on you the whole time, but better than nothing if you want to use the Fitbit platform for tracking.Gruszka99Version: 2.4
