Needs Watch supportThis door lock system is incredibly convenient, especially as a renter. Being able to lock/unlock my doors remotely, provide temporary codes, and setup an auto lock feature are fantastic. Still, things could be even better. For starters, a toggled proximity feature that causes the door to unlock once the user is within a few inches of the door would be great. It could even work like modern car doors that have sensors to unlock with a touch when the keys are close enough. Also, I’m surprised there isn’t a watch app. Yes, it’s already convenient that I don’t need keys and can unlock my door from my phone, but why not from my smart watch too? That would make the proximity feature, mentioned above, even more reliable, as the watch is right on the wrist and could require a shorter distance to trigger. Overall, the system works great and there are other great features I didn’t mention. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t more room for improvement..MessyMeezyVersion: 13.1.0

Like the idea.We love the idea of having a smart home but this new App has ruined that. My house of linked to it but nothing works on it. Seems great but…So unlocking it is great, it readily does this from the app or if you put the code in. However, to lock it is a big issue. App has an unlock button but no lock button. Who decided this? Why can’t I lock it with one button from the app?! Am I missing something? When I try to lock it with the code, it will do it every fifth time. I stand at my door every morning now trying to lock it for fifteen minutes. Lock accepts the code, then just… shuts down the keypad and does nothing. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. Nope! Every fifth time it locks… if I’m lucky… Thought it was the batteries so I changed them… app doesn’t update how much battery charge the lock has now, still says 28%. The app never worksThis app is absolutely terrible!! I have been paying for this service since December 2022, and I haven’t been able to even set my doorbell camera on my phone. Everytime I try to connect it to my phone it always stays loading. I have tried everything to make this app work!! Unreliable and unintuitiveThe app does not reliably change settings on my connected smart devices. Many features in this app like location awareness and even the scheduling do not completely work. My apartment building charges me 20 dollars for the privilege of having to use this poorly thought out and maintained app. Additionally, the other reviews for this app are manufactured. Lousy appThis app is lousy. It works about half the time. The heat/air “routines” almost never work. I usually have to manually adjust the temperature in the app, and even then the temperature I change to doesn’t “stick” so j have to change it repeatedly to get it to work. UnreliableWorks ok for unlocking the door. Adjusting the Auto mode on our Honeywell thermostat is not compatible with the app. Have to leave it on heat or AC. Shikeya OwensThis app, the lockbox and Rently support team are all stupid. Our lockbox code hasn’t worked since we moved into our home 2/1/2020. I’ve had our property manager reset and send us an entirely different code to no avail, it still doesn’t work. Our home has been disarmed (which is unsafe) since we moved in. When I enter the app to try and lock the doors via app the app just force closes when I click on my property address. I’ve emailed Rently WEEKS ago about both issues and you all still haven’t reached out to correct the issue. I’ve also called numerous times where I am prompted to email support about my issue and the call is disconnected. Just give us regular door locks because this is outrageous.
