Yoga: Poses and Moves at Home Positive Reviews
Yoga Wave ReviewThis is a great app! I love how the classes are customized exactly to what you need to work on. I also love that you’re able to choose your level and length of the class. The only thing is that I wish was different was that it gave you the ability to type your own messages to your instructor. After you take a class they ask you how it went, like asking if it was too easy, good, or too hard. And then ask you how you feel. But they are automatic multiple choice messages (if that makes sense) i have been suffering from lower back pain and I saw the back pain class and thought, this will be perfect for me, but some of the poses increased my pain. I wish I could have told my instructor that, or that they’d have mortifications. Overall I love this app and would highly recommend it, and I have recommended it to a couple of friends already :).Version: 11.8.1
Helpful struggleToday i ve been using this app for 4 days. Very new to yoga. I am trying to find relief for my backpain ( pelvic tilt, sciatic nerve irritation, nervous blood flow issue etc etc etc). Since i am unable to workout due to back ache i wanted to seek a resolution to the back ache to be able to do daily activities without being in pain and i was able to find it with this app. I do feel alot better during the day and specially in the morning when i wake up and there is mild to low back pain and its slowly fading. This app is really helping me. Struggle: I am a beginner and sometimes i need to see the pose and understand and be able to settle into it which takes time. The program is set such that we know how to do it and will get it right the first time. I am unable to pace up with the instructor and i feel like alot if times i miss the actual point of doing that pose because i didnt have enough time to watch my posture or correct it. It us a bigg time struggle to keep up with the videos for a beginner. I will appreciate if there is something that can be done to fix that. Besides that, very helpful and convenient ! Love it !.Version: 11.8.0
Meh...I’ve had the app for almost 2weeks and I deleted it today. Great concept in theory, but poor application in MY opinion. I’m not new to the yoga world, however, I’d still consider myself a beginner since I don’t do it often. Which is why I downloaded the app...to help me do it more regularly and at my own pace. The videos/instructions go waaaay too fast. Even after doing it on and off for almost 2 weeks (was trying to give myself a chance to figure it out), there’s just not enough time to keep up with the instructors. I wish they could hold the poses a lot longer to give you time to look and follow along with them. By the time I’m on lose 4, the instructor is already on post 7!!! It can be overwhelming for a beginner and emotionally make you feel like you can’t do it-which is not true!!!! It’s just too fast of a pace if you’re just starting out....Version: 11.2.3
Sounds roboticHi there! Tried my first class today and I’m a beginner. I’ve been to many classes before, but still consider myself new to the practice because I haven’t been to a class that explains the small things when you form a certain position (like making sure to flex your feet to prevent knee damage). In any case, this class felt a bit robotic and rushed. I couldn’t center myself and find mental peace with any of the positions because it was literally all just back to back. Also, it ended to suddenly I didn’t even realize it. I love the personalized chat feature, but if you’re going to set the bar for that kind of environment, i would recommend that the classes are less robotic. Give the class some closure for sure. Happy Tweaking! 🙏🏻.Version: 11.8.1
3/4I really like the presentation and everything. Instructions are clear especially with the video playing. I do however wish that they went through each move slowly and let you hold the pose instead of just flying through each one. I would still be on step 3, while the lady in the video would be on step 10. I’m not sure if there’s an option to slow it down, but i didn’t see it. Otherwise, I love the app..Version: 11.0.16
10 out of 10 recommendLiterally the best app when it comes to yoga. There is something for everyone. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced. I love the pace. You have the option to rewind in case you miss something. You can specify things you want to focus on. For instance, dealing with back pain or you want to focus on weight loss. It’s there. If you’re running short on time, you have the option to choose a shorter session. I rave to everyone about this app and how much it has helped me. Especially to all the people who are interested in wanting to learn yoga.Version: 11.14.1
I like the direction of this app but...So to start, I went to start a free trial and was charge 4.99 anyway, aside from that some of the direction is too fast and I can’t understand it. I’m okay with a fast paced practice, but you have to slow down when it comes to specific, fine details. My last gripe with this app, is that the first core class I did, about half way thru, the video was showing very different poses than what was being described they my ear buds. That really threw me for a loop. I would really like my $5 back but would be more than willing to give this app a shot for a full week, and probably wouldnt mind paying for it after some improvements have been made. Thanks.Version: 11.3.0
First week and loving it already!I’ve only started using this app for just about 4 days now and I look forward to my yoga time every single day now. At first, I thought the flow from each position felt rushed but as I’ve been using the app more I feel the flow is appropriate for the type of yoga I’m looking for. I didn’t think I could work up a sweat so fast in a short amount of time, so it’s definitely challenging my muscles and flexibility! I think this app is great for first time users as well as seasoned and experienced yogi :).Version: 11.10.1
Amazing so far!I like how you can personalize the background sound. I am only 2 days in so far but I love it! I’m going to continue using this app to its fullest extent. You get to pick a trainer. I chose mine based off what their bio said and felt my choice matched what I want to strive for closely. There are options depending on your experience and ability. I’m at baby steps here! There are also different types of classes such as posture or balance, core or weight loss. Currently doing posture. The poses are mixed too so even though I’m a novice there are some intermediate positions involved. Be prepared to hit that pause as with any app like this if you are struggling with a position or what to stay around a certain pose a bit longer. Current status- Novice. Terrible at meditation but determined to get there. Flexibility is about average standard for non practicing individual. Balance is wobbly. Let’s see where I can get to in a month. Will update soon!.Version: 11.0.13
Absolutely Love This AppYou get to pick between three instructors that will guide you through your classes. The classes are not like your typical yoga classes. The weight loss classes are moderately paced that a beginner can keep up without getting too frustrated. The variation in poses excited me due to my previous experiences with other DVDs/apps. Work up a good sweat and at the end feel totally relaxed. First time, I was able to truly relax my mind enough to focus on my poses long enough to hold the poses for the duration. Highly recommend..Version: 11.8.7
AmazingI found a love for yoga last year. I have recently learned I have multiple back problems so a stereotypical workout is too challenging for me to do. Yoga is perfect. I struggle to find classes/routines I can do at home. I heard of this app and gave it a try and fell in love instantly. I’ve been doing it every day, if not every other day, and I’ve seen an extreme change in my physical body and mental state. I have more patience and more flexibility and my body is toning more then usual. This app is definitely addicting for me..Version: 11.0.16
Greta idea, execution needs workGreat potential. The idea is good. The execution needs improvement: - if you’re not on the wifi, the app shuts down a couple of times during practice and it may or may not save where you left - there’s no Apple TV app, so if you mirror it to the TV, everyone the it cuts to a different camera angle, it goes back to the TV and then back to the app, stuck in a loading wheel for a few seconds, turning a 60 minute practice into an almost 70 minute practice - the slanted camera angles can be confusing - the lady in the screen moves faster than the voice over.Version: 11.8.2
Middle ageI am two weeks into this routine. In the past decade I’ve had injuries ranging from rattlesnake bite, broken bones, dislocated ankle, torn hamstring, etc. Needless to say my mobility has been limited and my balance and flexibility was awful. In just two weeks I have regained noticeable strength, balance and flexibility. I am excited to start my yoga session instead of dreading it. If I feel this much better in two weeks I can’t wait to see what I feel like in two months or two years!.Version: 11.9.0
Best Yoga App so far!Yoga Wave has helped me bring consistency in my yoga practices. Being a busy mom and business owner, I could never find the time to attend yoga classes. So grateful to be able to strengthen my body and mind with the different courses, which are put together very well. In the beginning quite challenging, but by practicing the same difficult poses in every session, I surprise myself with the progress I make. It’s a bit pricey than other yoga apps, but totally worth it!.Version: 11.2.0
Great class but I can’t hear any soundI love the app and the fact that it seems to be the best yoga app over the 5 or so that I’ve tried over the years. I am too busy to do a yoga class on a regular basis because of kids and work but I love the fact that I can use the classes on the app and feel like I’m getting something out of it. My only complaint is that I can’t hear any sound. I can see the video no problem but the app will not play any of the background music and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to hear talking for instruction or not..Version: 11.0.16
I’ve been looking for something like thisThis app is so fun! It makes yoga less intimidating and has really helped me to relax while I learn. Wireless headphone def help get you the full yoga class experience while still maintaining privacy and serenity 💆🏽♀️ I’ve Ben using the app every morning for over a month and I’m hooked. If I don’t do my yoga right when I wake up in the morning my day is just off. Thank you so much for this amazing app 💜.Version: 11.2.0
EnjoyableI’ve been doing this app for over a week now. I’m enjoying it and the poses and classes that they offer. However it’s very fast paced (for the strength course at least) and the voice overs sometimes don’t keep up with the demonstrations. I do really wish it was less expensive, but comparing to all the yoga classes in person in my area, it’s very affordable. Overall I’m enjoying it but I do wish it gave you more time with some of the poses. Great yoga app!.Version: 11.0.16
Excellent classes with plans and variety!I love this app because it has outlined plans with varying lengths, difficulties, and goals. It even checks in with you after each class to see if you need adjustments in difficulty. I get bored quickly with some apps that only give you a few options, but I don’t that problem with this app. It’s very well done and I highly recommend!.Version: 11.7.1
Breath in..... and ouuuuutI’ve been doing yoga off and on for a while and this is a nice app. I’m doing the novice level stress reduction classes. They aren’t the typical novice poses which is good. It’s challenging enough without being discouraging. The only thing I wish they would add is that it syncs up with the iPhone health app so I don’t have to manually chart it. For a yoga class that only costs 20 dollars a month and you can do it anywhere... it’s good.Version: 11.2.1
Nice app!I’m just two days in, but I’m liking it a lot so far. If I could change a couple things, they would be how quickly you’re meant to change from one pose to another. Not only is it not relaxing, it’s nearly impossible to follow along. I’d also like to see a shavasana at the end of each class, if only for a couple minutes or even breath cycles. Other than that, it’s a great app with a lot of diversity among poses..Version: 11.2.0
Noticeable strongerI’ve completed eight classes from the “Stronger Than Ever” challenge over the past three weeks and notice a great increase in strength in my core and arms. I’m actually able to do arm balances that I’ve never managed to master. The one downfall is that the flows are quick, my partner who is a beginner was not able to keep up. I wish there was a way to adjust the speed of poses/the flow..Version: 11.8.1
Fantastic!I started a free trial because I’m usually skeptical with workout apps. I’m very inconsistent and truth be told don’t enjoy working out. I’ve done this the past three mornings in a row and LOVE it! The time flies by, I’m getting a great workout which feels unusual because I’m not jumping all over my place and sweating like a pig, but even more so I feel SO GOOD afterwards! I highly recommend this app, it’s worth it!.Version: 11.4.1
Peaceful, relaxing appI love the app- you can modify the intensity of the yoga exercise, choose plan, trainer and even change trainers if you would like. HOWEVER 1. You can not cast it to your laptop or tv through phone 2. The price is $4.99 per week, which translates to $20 per month. I find it a bit expensive as I do not get to interact with the trainer or talk to a real person at all. There are no yearly plan or options either..Version: 11.8.0
New yogiI am new to yoga and was looking for something that would teach me the basics but could stick with on all levels. I love that there is a new class daily and teaches you each pose. You can even preview the poses they do in each class to see if this is the one for you. I have only done a few classes so far but really enjoy it and it is worth the money..Version: 11.2.0
Good to keep a routine goingSo far so good. Helpful for keeping a practice routine going. Seems like you can scale it’s suggestions according to your level of practice. Could use more options on speed, however. The instruction is pretty quick paced and starts super quick. I’d recommend a short warm up before pressing “start”..Version: 11.11.1
Good quality and quantity of timeI came back to this app because it’s a very simple and effective app for practicing my yoga. I really enjoy that it’s not convoluted and I also enjoy that I can adjust the yoga sequence to fit my day. But being consistent with the app allows me to see what poses are new and old to me. I can follow it nicely.Version: 11.10.5
Yogi at homeIt is a great app especially at this time of covid 19. You can practice at home. It also makes a daily practice easier for me. You don’t have to spend the time going to a studio and it’s easy to fit in a half an hour. You do miss the eyes on where someone can see your pose and adjust but for the price these courses are great!.Version: 11.8.2
Just okayI love the idea of this app and the courses it offers, however it has a few problems that are deal breakers for me. 1. During a typical class there is at least one sequence where the audio and video are playing on a faster speed in order to fit the work out in under 30 mins. Even if I know the poses and sequence not even the most experienced yogi can move as fast as the audio is talking. 2. Similar to my first comment - Since the sequences are copy and pasted together then played at different speeds the volume of the voice also changes. This is problem when I wear headphones because I have to constantly adjust the volume on my headphones to make it equalize. 3. There is no shavasana at the end the yoga class..Version: 11.0.7
Have to rate 5 starsWell, first let me say the 5 star rating may or may not be accurate. This is the first time using the app and in order to watch the videos, you have to give a 5 star rating. I really have no idea whether I like the app or not. I'll try to update once I post this and hey hopefully let me watch videos..Version: 10.0
Great app!I love this app and like that I can do quick videos (7-10 min) between meetings. I do wish that it went a bit slower, by the time I’m in the pose it feels they’ve often already moved to the next one. That’s the only reason it isn’t a 5 star rating. Otherwise I love the videos, the teachers, style and poses!.Version: 11.2.3
Best yoga app for beginners.I love doing yoga. This is great yoga app for me. Though its title is for beginners, there are lots of yoga plans in this app. And free poses and exercises. Recommended...every one should try...... premium membership works best for me. Output comes faster and meditation plans are really helpful for mindfulness, calm and relaxed sleep. The more you use this app the more you explore.Version: 10.0
Very helpful for a beginner,I just love itThis app is the first yoga app i will ever download and try out, it’s so amazingly helpful and wonderful. With this app, I don’t have to pay for a yoga class anymore! it’s the best choice, practical, gentle, I feel the difference on my body already.. really loving it.Version: 11.0.13
I like itI am enjoying this yoga app. It’s the third one I have tried. I like that the lessons are varied and customizable. I also think the price helps me keep up with my practice. The free apps were easy to ignore without financial guilt. This app is not free but it is a lot cheaper than a yoga class and I can stay home and do yoga in my jammies before bed..Version: 11.2.0
Best yetI have tried so many workout apps and i can honestly say this is the first one i have found that is reliable, affordable, and effective. It meets my needs in a yoga workout without all the nonsense and the workouts fit my fitness level perfectly..Version: 11.0.16
I love this App!I love the style of yoga and the background story of the teacher. The only thing I would suggest is to address the occasional glitch that occurs, freezing the screen while the teacher continues on. Thank you guys for making something like this affordable and available 🙂.Version: 11.8.2
Perfect for my morning routineI wanted to work yoga into my every day morning routine. Having the option to select 15 minutes is the perfect way to get back into practice and work up to a longer flow. Higher recommend this app!.Version: 11.0.16
Yoga OutcomeI started this app just a few days ago and it has been great! I feel a lot stronger and flexible making it a great way to start my day. I have even shared it with friends and now we all practice yoga outside, so the fresh air makes it all the better!.Version: 11.7.1
My favorite app ever!I am really enjoying the app. There are any experience levels and a big variety of different programs. I like the way the trainer explains all the moves very detailed, as I was an absolute yoga beginner when I started. Never stopped since then, I really love yoga and the app!.Version: 11.8.2
Love it!!I have been only on it for 2 days now but it is amazing. I don’t have time in my life to go to classes, this app lets me do yoga In my room with no distractions. I recommend putting on noise cancelling headphones if you are in a busy house. It helps you achieve total relaxation..Version: 11.0.7
Good... butThis is a good app and I like the fact that i don’t have to rate this app to get all the features. I can either pay or not. :) I just purchased this app, but I want a total instructional video that last up to an hour. Where can I find this?.Version: 10.0.24
All time favorite appI thought I hated yoga. I was out of shape and really didn’t know anything about yoga. This allowed me to start from the VERY beginning and has been a total game changer for me. I look forward to it every day now and my body and mind are grateful!.Version: 11.9.0
Yoga, yes please.I am a beginner with slight back issues. I am almost finished with my first class and I can see and feel a difference in my body. The app makes it easy to stick to and I can do yoga whenever and wherever is convenient to me. Thank you!.Version: 11.2.1
First time using this appThis was my first time and I found it to be wonderful. I found it challenging in some asanas and wonderful for stretching my body my mind and my spirit. Love it king forward to lesson two. Thank you for having this available.Version: 11.1.7
Having a wonderful timeI use this app every morning to help me wake up. It’s helps me be sure my runs smoothly and productively. A great balance/mix with my afternoon work out! I’ve never been into yoga but this app has made it very easy and likable..Version: 11.8.0
Great app!Being in quarantine this is one way I been easing my mind! I’m a gym rat and never really did yoga but always wanted too! Being quarantine is actually benefiting me by making me try new things and this app is not only helping me stay in shape but keeps me sane as well! Thanks!.Version: 11.7.1
Good app! This app has really helped when it comes to my strength and endurance as well as my flexibility. Since my town is in quarantine lockdown, this app helps me have something to do while having fun and building up skills and strengths.Version: 11.7.0
NewbieI just got this app yesterday and I’m really liking it so far. Some poses are perfect for a beginner and the others I look forward to being able to do in the future!.Version: 11.10.5
HmmI like this app, I like how versatile it is. Lots of options to choose from to personalize. However, I feel the practice moves so quickly, I lose my meditative state trying to stay caught up. Having to pause the video and restart is quite frustrating. Overall it’s a worthwhile purchase for most. Just maybe not for me..Version: 11.1.7
Yoga workoutVery thorough, like it a lot. great and challenging stretches but not too hard, something to work on! Great to do in front of favourite music videos too! Love it! Chris.Version: 11.14.2
Enjoying a lot so farReally enjoy this yoga app, especially the way the yoga instructor helps you understand how to do each pose and make each pose as beneficial as possible. I also enjoy the reminder to breathe. I do wish there were a few more options for customization, however the back pain series has been great..Version: 11.16.0
Awesome!Easy to follow but I wish there was a way to slow it down..Version: 11.8.1
Yoga WaveI have been using yoga wave since January. I appreciate the gradual progression of each course and can see noticeable difference to not only my body shape but also to strength and balance. I still have a long way to go but I’m confident Yoga Wave will get me there.Version: 11.10.0
Great yoga classesI’ve been in quarantine for a long time being a flight attendant overseas during this pandemic ; this app prevents me from going insane. Thank you , never going back to a yoga class ....Version: 11.8.4
A1Great app and very user friendly. I enjoy all challenges. I have extreme back pain and it certainly has helped so much. If a day goes by without it my pain doubles. I look forward to many more challenges and learning opportunities. Subscribe! You won’t regret it.Version: 11.8.1
Love the appI like that you can take a shorter or longer class. I’m a beginner, so it’s a good pace for me. I would like a monthly subscription option, that would get it 5 stars..Version: 11.8.1
GoodIt’s a really good app for beginners, the flows are very quick though. You don’t spend much time in a each pose so I sometimes pause the video to hold and get a deeper stretch. However, it is a nice stretch stretch and they do have different levels of difficulty and different options for classes which is very nice!!.Version: 11.8.1
Great!Fast pace, not boring! Thanks!.Version: 11.8.0
AmazingIn quarantine times, this app is my best friend and has been helping me a lot. Thanks!.Version: 11.8.0
Love itI love this app. It’s very calming and makes you feel at peace..Version: 11.7.1
Love itEasy to use, beginner friendly with options to advance! Love it.Version: 11.8.0
MaraThe classes are great. I’m a little rusty so I sometimes need props ! The shoulder stand and plough pose are the most difficult. However I’m sticking too it All I ask is some options..Version: 11.8.0
Great, butNeeds a guided meditation at the end..Version: 11.7.0
Great Pace and Flow!I really enjoy the pace and the flow of the class! I feel great!.Version: 11.7.0
Listens to your needsI am a senior and want to improve my flexibility and balance. The app allows you to choose your level. I started as a beginner and I could hardly do any of the poses. After completing the class, the app checks in with you and I said it was too hard. The next class was still challenging, but I could do the poses. I’m doing the free trial, but may subscribe after a couple more classes..Version: 11.1.7
So relaxing 😊Loves it!!.Version: 11.6.3
Speak up lady!Classes are great and at my level. But the moderator speaks in such hushed tones that I can’t hear her!.Version: 11.4.2
Great classes for beginnersVery good classes, complete ! Love that.Version: 11.2.1
My Tid Bit :)Loved my first session however, I found it very fast and difficult to follow. I would have liked to hold most poses for an additional breath or two before moving forward..Version: 11.2.1
Real YogaI tried a few popular yoga apps, but most of them either separate meditation aspects of true yoga and only apply them at the end off class, or don’t include them at all. Most of the yoga apps out there are either boring, animated or feel a lot more like Pilates. The voice over is perfect and relaxing, meditation included throughout the class and each class unique and interesting. You can select workout plans (ex: back pain, relaxation, balance etc) and you can also select your level Very user friendly, and I easily feel motivated to do yoga when the time comes..Version: 11.1.7
Not too badIt’s a good app! I enjoy the workouts. I find it a bit serious, I feel like the teacher could be a robot and it would do the same. $6.99 per week is way too expensive tho, I’ll probably just use the app for a month for like a 30 days challenge and that’s it. But other than that, it’s pretty good for someone looking to find discipline in their practice..Version: 11.1.7
Love this appReally like this app and it’s accessibility. The only thing I can think of for improvement would be if when the woman demonstrates a pose, that she does her left side first (instead of turning away from the viewer on her right) so I can see exactly what she is doing if it is unfamiliar. Really great app!.Version: 11.1.7
AwesomeThis is a great app for beginners..Version: 11.1.7
Almost perfect...This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I get to pick what my yoga goals are and then follow a program based on my experience level to build up and get better BUT if you’re a beginner this is really hard to follow. The lady in the video just goes way too fast which makes it hard to keep up and not a relaxing experience at all..Version: 11.0.16
Sound doesn’t workThe sound for the videos doesn’t work. Neither the sounds or the speaking despite turning them off and on and closing the app to try again..Version: 11.0.16
BeginnerI chose to start with beginners intro classes and the transition through each pose was too hard and the instructor made it seem easy? Did not give variations for inflexiblity.Version: 11.0.13
Love itGreat app. Really helps with the back pain..Version: 11.0.13
