However the app needs dark mode for when studying at night or when wanting to double check a reg before a Night XC. Amazing customer support, High quality AppI have had the FAR/AIM app for the last year and have loved it. The ability to search, highlight, and bookmark pertinent FAR’s is invaluable. The app constantly updates the regulations and being able to see what has changed is a feature no other app has that I am aware of. Not only that, the customer support is unparalleled. Twice I have made suggestions or asked questions and both times I got a personal email back WITHIN AN HOUR. The email talked about how to address the issues I was having and listed a phone number I could call if I had any other questions. The suggestions I made in a previous email were taken to heart in that Bill remembered them and told me what they were doing as a team to implement those suggestions! Your Best FriendTake this with you for your exam. Or, look up anything quickly. Updates itself automatically. User friendly. Bookmarks and highlighting help me find things. You can even rename sections, which I use to write short notes on what I need to know from that section. So, that makes it a great study tool. Update: Had to hard reboot iPad and now behaves normallyApp had an update previously that I believe caused a memory leak but even after reinstalling the fixed version on my iPad (2017 Pro 10.5), the app continued to lag like crazy and other apps and the OS were also more laggy than usual. Great app, some crashesExcellent format and organization however I have been experiencing app crashes that have come back after I deleted and reinstalled it. Can’t Sort BookmarksFor My Bookmarks, there is no sorting feature. Need to be able to sort by numerical order. Should be able to create groupings of bookmarks (ex. Speed, Airspace, Instruments, etc) and place bookmarks the groups/folders. For Highlighted bookmarks, one can sort A-Z or Z-A BUT it does not put them in true numerical order. HighlightingThe app is great and it works for the most part. So far the only issue I have is the highlight function sometimes doesn’t work properly. There are a couple of regulations I have highlighted and now I can not un-highlight it or change the highlight color. Great ideas that has some bugsI enjoy using the app. Search feature and highlighting are really nice. But sometimes the app will freeze. FAR Good, AIM FairDespite the problems, this is better than a 4lb book. It would help immensely if the FAR had an indented outline structure to make it easier to see where a regulation is nested in the hierarchy. Highlighting tool is inconsistentThis could be a great app but unfortunately the highlighting tool is inconsistent. Half the time highlighting doesn’t work and at other times it will randomly stop working. I was highlighting requirements for 61.3 and had no problem highlighting Photo ID or Pilot Certificate but for some reason the app doesn’t want me to highlight Medical Certificate. Great FAR/AIM appI have used 3 different far/aim apps and this is my favourite one. It is easy to navigate and use. Being able to highlight in different colors is amazing and extremely helpful for organizing topics and ratings. You can even organize and look up your highlights based off of how you color coordinated them. The team behind the app is also very helpful and responsive with any questions or concerns. HighlightHighlighting is a bit clumsy in that it is hard to control what is being highlighted (or I just have fat fingers). When trying to highlight a word, line, etc., the highlight can jump to next line, word, whatever. Then have to cancel and start over. Besides that, great app. Update. Things have gotten worse. Now the app hangs up, literally, it will close after a few minutes, < 3. And when it is on it is difficult, some cases impossible,to search or edit bookmarks or even create a new bookmark. Also, it seems that my bookmarks move and are no longer on the correct page..Weird 99Version: 1.3.10

Used to work, now crashes all the timeI have been using this for a while and it seemed to work, but as I’m preparing for my Instrument Check Ride, I’m trying to create bookmarks, and highlight sections of the AIM and each time I do that, the app crashes and doesn’t highlight. Also, when trying to look up a Section, which is key, it can’t find anything for the Section, Chapter, etc, but for in the Table of contents. That’s not helpful if it’s 200 pages into the document where I need to find the actual paragraph. Need to fix this asap. Informative, but some app issuesFormatting makes the regs very readable, and they’re always kept updated. Highlighting / bookmarking is a great feature for tabbing out your regs. Only major issue is what seems to be a memory leak that is causing the app to freeze after it is used for just a few minutes. Was a good app, now too buggy to useThis was a great app, but now freezes so frequently that I can’t use it for reading the AIM. It works better for the FAR. Highlighting is also very buggy now. Sometimes when I highlight, it sticks, sometimes the highlight disappears, so I have to quit the app, restart it, and re-highlight the area. Needs a better search buttonThere should be a search button on the main page. I don’t want to separately search FAR or AIM. And show me the results as section titles not each word. Keeps freezing up!Freezes up often— 4 times in the last 10 mins! I have to force quit and re-open it often. On the plus side, it saves my place, but it’s still extremely frustrating. It’s also missing a lot of content in 49 CFR. Try to tap on any of the later parts, and an indefinite spinner will pop up. Finally, bookmarks don’t show the Part and Section numbers, just the titles.
