Devices Work Good/Govee Needs To Communicate - Widget FixI don’t have any issues with the devices I have purchased. I did initially, but they seem to have worked out a way to push updates to them. As long as you can put your router in 2.4g mode, all is good. And they have improved the instructions for setting up your devices, including adding those to the app. So 4 stars here. The missing star is for the app itself, it is, as other have noted, getting a little busy. I see where they are trying to go, but some of the things on there are confusing and not meant for your everyday user, so it’s confusing. If they would organize it a little better and use descriptions most people would understand, it would be much improved. Finally, they do not do a good job explaining when things change on either the app or with the widgets - hence, why everyone thinks it is broken. Now they’ve, just like the app, also complicated the widget, so one day, you open your device and it’s just a white space where a working widget used to be. Fix - if you delete the current widget on your screen and then go to add it back, swipe left and there you will find the ones that work with the hygrometer. It works for me again - but Govee, you need to start pushing details of your updates/changes that affect users and listen to their suggestions about your app, or you’re going to keep getting 1 star reviews!! Great system but app could be betterFirst of all, I only came across Govee, I’ve been a long time Philips hue user but I have to say, I’m very impressed with what they have to offer. Maybe I’m only getting used to the app but on the rope light, I feel the settings aren’t very user friendly. I am tech savvy. I’m sure I’ll figure it out but it will take a bit of time I guess. So far my only issue is on the scenes. If I have to edit one lighting scene, I must start adding them into groups? Then it won’t allow me to just add one, I have to go through each category and add more, all this just to reduce the speed. Then, after that when I go back, all the other ones are gone! Look maybe, I’m not used to the Govee app yet but still, if it doesn’t seem easy the first time, please will get turned off. Philips hue app is much easier, cleaner and you can edit each light and each scene with ease. Hopefully this will get better over time as. I will 100% recommend these lights. Too many useless changesI genuinely used to enjoy this app along with the purchase of lights. Ever since, every update has been me having to skim through the app so I can find something that’s been moved again. I had several presets of lights and now I have no idea where they are when they were just there yesterday. I don’t know if they want to be a light app or social media, but it drives me nuts how unproductive these updates are. I can’t tell if you guys are bored, or just don’t know what you’re doing. I don’t understand why an app for lights needs this much updates to its user interface anyway. Whats the point of changing it and having us get used to it if you’re just going to change it again? I would’ve gave this app 5 stars at the time of me purchasing the lights, would’ve gave it 4 stars yesterday, but this latest update is really the final nail in the coffin. This app is truly lost and I’m unsure what they’re trying to accomplish. Update: I’ve officially gotten used to the new layout. I’ve felt inclined to return cause recently my AC power adapter had died and I was no longer able to use my lights. I missed them a lot but I only had to go a few days without them cause their amazing customer service supplied me with a replacement power for my lights! SlowI used to have different LED bulbs, but they would stop working after a year, so I decided to try a new brand. I chose this brand because it came with an app, but I’m disappointed by how slow everything loads. It’s just a light bulb app—why does it need to be so complex? If it were designed like the Gene LED app, it would be much better. Geeni was fast, and I didn’t have to wait two seconds for my lights to turn on after using my phone. This app is slow and needs a lot of improvement compared to other apps I’ve used for Bluetooth lights. It should be simpler. It’s a smart LED light app meant to turn lights on and off—why make it so complicated? I wish is it was like other apps where you open it and boom you’re at your light bulbs where they’re at the top of the page nice and big to where you can click it fast and easy instead of having to look for it at the bottom with tiny Off/On buttons. I have big fingers and that’s not very convenient for me. And sometimes the buttons don’t register and I have to keep clicking it multiple times until it finally turns on. These are brand new bulbs and I was already getting connection issues on 1 after I grouped them. It loaded for 5 minutes before the second one turned on. Hope you guys take this review in consideration and make the app simple to use and bigger fonts. If I’m in a hurry the last thing I want to do is stare at my phone in the dark trying to press the little turn on button. The app works quit whiningI was hesitant to download this app because the reviews mentioned bugs galore and a bad UI. After thoroughly exploring the app, I experimented with various themes and settings. I encountered only three themes that didn’t function properly, and they were holiday-themed, which are not critical to my overall experience. Customizing light movements is straightforward, allowing for personal touches if desired. The sheer variety of light themes available is quite impressive, and the music synchronization feature operates flawlessly. (I applaud the developers for their hard work🤝) One notable aspect of the app is its cautionary pop-ups; when selecting a light theme with intense movements, it alerts users about potential epilepsy triggers, which is a thoughtful addition. I should mention that my experience is based on using an iPhone 14 Pro Max, so I cannot comment on the app's performance on older devices. Additionally, WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity plays a significant role in the syncing of lights, which could explain any issues users might face. Phenomenal products and applicationFirst of all, I'd like to mention that the application could benefit from some improvements in terms of accessibility for most features, except for the seamless integration with your existing devices. It works really well and you definitely get your money's worth with their products. I've seen a fully equipped house with Phillips, Hugh, and this is the next best thing in my opinion. The colors are vibrant, the scene modes are really cool, and there are plenty of options to customize the settings for individual lights or groups. I'm particularly fond of the dreamview function, which allows multiple lights to synchronize with specific circumstances like music playing or my TV backlight, creating a delightful "surround visuals" experience. Well done Govee!!!Govee is the new way!!! For many of years my house has been ran by Phillips hue lights. I got my first Govee product a little over a year ago and it was nothing major just an outdoor strip light but this year I decided to go all out and get a lot more from the outdoor lights to TV to lamps to strip lights and so on. I’ve had some problems with some of my lights. Let me tell you about the customer service it is top notch. First they try to help you on solving your problem with no judgment, and if it is something that they can’t fix they work with you to fix the problem. There’s no hassle!!!!! Phillips Hugh kept making me try different methods to keep fixing the problem. Not Govee they’re simple as reliable, but it’s all things do some do break. They understand that and they fix the problem. I’ve already got my parents house with some of the Govee lights, cause my dad has trouble waking up and the desk lamp is the way to go. Widgets randomly stop working, needs more automation featuresI only use LED lights and I have two widgets set up, a lock screen on/off widget and a large home screen one with three different shortcuts to select. Randomly after some updates the lock screen widget disappears entirely, and occasionally the shortcuts widget stops working but eventually fixes itself. The lock screen widget comes back once in a blue moon. Also, the IOS shortcuts for the shortcuts app are pretty pointless. You can create an automation with them but it only works if your device is on and unlocked. I want a way to automate the lights turning on at a specific time (which is easy with the timer feature) and then changing to a different DIY setting automatically at another time. Why is this impossible? I'm guessing the IOS shortcuts problem is more of an Apple problem but why isn't there more options for automating a single light strip in your app? Is it that hard? All I want is to be able to wake up to a low brightness DIY setting, leave for the day, and come back to a brighter and different DIY..HutabohutaVersion: 7.0.10

AWESOME customer serviceWell, I had an issue with connecting my lights via my WiFi for some inexplicable reason, and right before I was about to submit my problem here to get he,p, I noticed the “My Issue” section in the My Profile section of the app. I honestly didn’t think it was anything other than a pointless, futile waste of time…I submitted a brief problem report directly within the app. Actually, I made a few sarcastic comments because I was certain it wouldn’t amount to anything…ever. Been down that (dead end) road before! Amazingly, I was contacted the following day by a Govee support tech, asking to please send a screenshot of my error message. I did, and the following day I get a reply back saying they had disconnected & reset my device, and asking me to please try connecting again. It did, instantly. I’m impressed with their stellar customer service and will definitely stick with Govee for all future LED strip lighting needs!.SDRangerVersion: 6.4.12

Great… in theoryComing from a competitor, this app and setup is much simpler to get setup. Once setup the features are limited and inconsistent. The concept is very nice but the execution is far from perfect. In my case, I have 6 lights connected. I purchased them all at the same time. Unboxed them and set them up within minutes. Every night as I go to wind down and turn them off. 4/6 work as they should and usually one or two of them will say “ currently using an older app version, error info h6004_64_-2_-2))” Of course I’ve updated the app just to come back full circle and get the error again. Only way to turn off the light is by grouping the together and turning them all off. But I like to keep some on. So I switched out the one that doesn’t like to turn off with the one I like to leave on anyway thinking that would be the loophole fix, but it doesn’t consistently “not work” on the same light . Fantastic Product, app has a learning curve (automation issue)As stated above, I purchased 150ft of the Govee Permanent Outdoor lights for the holidays and while the lights themselves are fantastic, the app is a tad challenging to use at first. (I originally rated this app 3 out of 5 until I figured out what caused the issue stated below.) For a while I was having an issue with the “Automation” setting. (Had the lights programmed to go on at sunset and turn off at sunrise). And while they’d turn on right on time, they’d shut off randomly around 2am or so. After awhile I learned that when I linked Govee to Alexa, Alexa used it’s “hunch settings” (programmed to turn lights off when it thinks the user is asleep) to override the settings in the Govee app. Once I turned that setting off, the Govee lights and app have been working flawlessly! Multi-Govee Product OwnerThe app makes everything come together and is so seamless to use. Don’t think twice, just get Govee. I have bought most of the Govee products and have yet to replace any due to manufacturer issues (only when my kids break them). Love them, they are the best. Yes, slightly more expensive than other similar products but you get what you pay for. Top notch, seamless, and all around beautiful product. I have two versions of TV back gradient lights, string lights x2 , ground lights x1 , light bulbs x4, Christmas tree lights ver 2 x2, space heaters x2 (although recalled and refunded), and all are fantastic! Next is outdoor permanent lights as they are the new “thing” and my obsession with colors and control have forced me to cave. Great lights. Overly complicated user interface.The user interface is difficult to understand at first. There are a lot of good options to create different lighting scenes, but it’s really hard to set up simple ways to use them. You can create rooms and groups. In the room you can see each light, but you can’t adjust them all at once. You have to turn on, adjust brightness and color temperature on each light individually. There isn’t a built in option to turn all the lights on in a room to the same brightness with the touch of a button with a slider to control brightness. This is a basic function built into every other smart light app I’ve ever used but not this one for some reason. It took me a few hours of messing around with the app and watching videos online to set up something that should be simple. HomeKitI know most devices on here aren’t integrated with HomeKit, but using the Homebridge server I have I was able to link it to my Apple Home. With my Gaming Sync Box Lights it’s set to turn on anytime my TV turns on and due to scene selection options I can’t get it to turn on and just stay mirroring the colors on my TV, it always goes to my default single color and I have to go into app to change it everyday which is kind of annoying. I assume asking to make it integrated with HomeKit is almost impossible but through apples shortcuts app it should be able to set a shortcut (if lights turn on then they turn to movie mode,etc)- this would be necessary with the with the Matter items you have available. Or just be able to set a scene that’s for the movie option like I have inside my device controls, The app is great just missing some stuff..NappyTyVersion: 6.2.40

The best smart lighting app for the best product lineI don’t normally write reviews for apps. This is genuinely the only one that is actually any good. Even the “big name” companies have apps that make me want to just use a light switch. Govee Home gets frequent updates, is always adding new integrations, has fun social features that help you get the most use out of your devices. There’s an actual community of people willing to help and share settings. You can even collaborate on making lighting effects or coming up with automation solutions. It doesn’t crash, has 10x the features that it needs, but they are actually useful. Works - READ IF YOU’RE GETTING THE ERROR POPUPI have two of the smart LED lightbulbs, the smart plug, and the tv LED backlight T2. All products are great. The app works just is a bit buggy at times. By that I mean, I realized that when you have the tv backlight on and it’s synced to the smart LED lightbulb at the same time in movie watching dreamview and want to control the light itself you have to disconnect it from that. Sometimes I forget I have them connected and when I turn the lights on and go to control the lightbulb that’s still connected I’ll get the pop up “Currently using an older app version” even though it’s up to date and works for everything else. So if you have any of these items and are struggling with that check to make sure it’s not connected still! That’s the only thing I hope they fix in the future..RrtuvVersion: 6.4.12

Simply wonderfulI’d like to first say that I have no idea what device is causing anyone to have “ads” on this app, but on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I’ve NEVER had any ads. I’ve only been using the app since the beginning of the year. Sure, it can be overwhelming for the “newbie”, but once you learn the app, it’s rather simple to use to get your lights going. Yea, the app has had some issues in the past, but it ended up being AWS most times and not an App issue itself. Can it be improved? Absolutely. Everything can be improved. Do I love the app? I absolutely do!!! I’ve had a lot of fun working with my 20 something lights through this app. Do I wish these didn’t have to be WiFi to do a lot of things? Lights don’t work after updateI had my outdoor lights all grouped, programmed, and set up on a timer. They worked flawless for many months. A few weeks ago, they just stopped working. The app required an update. After the daunting task of finding the right area to reprogram the lights, I did so many times. I tried reprogramming, but it never worked. A little red exclamation point appears over the WiFi/bluetooth icon, even though it lists the correct one. The app won’t let you change the WiFi, or update the WiFi password, it refers you to setting instructions that either don’t exist or are impossible to find in the new app. This is the most frustrating app change ever. Would love to see moreI have been surfing through the smart home apps and products. I have landed here with Govee after several product tryouts and working with customer service. I now mostly have Govee. Over all the products work well and the sync well. Using the app can be a little clunky though. With tap to runs being on, I love they can run on Siri, I do not love I have to create the shortcut in your app. This prevents chaining a few together. We should be able to make tap to runs into widgets as well! The widget control does leave room for desire. It’s only a basic on off button, which is not accurate. If the device is on, the widget might show it’s off. To actually turn it off you have to turn on the widget so they match, then turn it off with a second tap..SeveritySixVersion: 6.0.12

AmazingI saw somebody complaining about how a color looks horrible and honestly govee is my go to. i don’t have to worry about losing led remotes when i have a simple app and there’s HUNDREDS of different colors to choose from. i love the little mini games you can play in order to get points and get products with your points. i genuinely love how they look in my room and ive had the same set for the last 4 years and they work amazingly except for 3 lights not working correctly but it is worth the money if you want good quality led lights that actually last a long time. i love the little thing you can stick on the wall to change the color that way or turn it off rather than using a remote that ends up getting lost or even broken. govee IS the way to go.Shelia SweetsVersion: 6.2.01

Temperature monitoringI’m using the smart thermometer and hygrometer sensors to monitor freezer temperatures. The data are easy to view and track. I like that it allows me to set temperature alarms. However, the app requires that you set an alarm range versus only a max or min. The min temperature you can set the range to is -4F which is higher than some of my freezers run. Since I’m only concerned with high temperatures, it would be nice to disable the low end alarm or be able to set it lower than -4F (even if the thermometers are not calibrated in that range). Other than this minor complaint, the system is working well on tracking the temperatures. Where are my favorites???I’ve just started using this app and these lights, and so far it’s pretty good. However, there’s two things I don’t like about the app: 1. There’s no easy or obvious way to find other users creations that I have favorited and would like to apply to my lights. I can put a star next to the creations I like, but there’s no corresponding “master star“ location, where I can see all of that in an easy to read place. 2. The app has so much functionality that it makes it extremely difficult to navigate around. It’s confusing and I can’t tell if the lights are doing what I expect them to unless I’m standing outside watching them. Not just LEDsYou may think opening a box from Govee that it’s just a strip of leds and nothing more. You would be highly incorrect. Govee is a lifestyle that can be the most fun you have installing and enjoying how a simple led can really change your mood and way of thinking how to decorate the place you call home. Did not expect this!While I’ve found the Govee app to be beyond superior to every other light company’s concerning customization, sharing and straight quality, it has so much more. It also has an extremely active community. It’s has its own social network, clubs, DIY sharing fiction and a lot of help forums. A great part is you get points for everything you do which can be turned in for discounts or even free Govee products if you get enough. There isn’t even certain items these points can go to, you can buy anything. There are beta tests you sign up for and contests where you can win points and Govee products too. Complicated appI LOVE my Govee outdoor permanent lights, which I had installed three years ago. That said, NOT exactly plug and play if this kind of thing is new to you. I have four sets of outdoor, under-the-eve strands. First, while each strand seamlessly connects to one another to follow design commands, each strand needs its own power source to have enough juice to perform. I didn’t realize that, so strands 2 to 3 only flickered once they were installed. I had to hire an electrician to come out and install three new outdoor outlets to power them end-to-end. Yay! They worked! Then, I had to tackle app complexity, which took a few hours of trial and error to figure out back in 2022 when I was getting started. I finally figured it out. On the plus side, the app + devices experience is smart and feature-rich…can do almost anything you can imagine. HOWEVER, the app is not intuitive at all. And though I love that Govee prioritizes innovation and updates the app with new features, I can’t keep up! All the work I did the year before to enable my lights was all completely undone with the next update. The app is now so complex that I can barely use it. I’m not giving up. I just want the developers to rethink how the app is organized so it can better accommodate both basic users and advanced users, starting with using standard tech terminology and clearly defining terminology for non-tech dummies. In fact, I’d love to see the app offer two different user paths—basic, most common, auto-run scenarios (turn on everyday beginning at sunset and off at mid-night/sunrise on . And an alternative path for more advanced users (custom designs users define step-by-step). In both cases, super clear instructions tapping into context/user-aware AI capabilities to enable desired design themes with (often vague) natural language requests—ideally incorporating ChatGTP or Microsoft Copilot, which everyone in the world is already getting familiar with since it incorporates AI into the apps we use everyday. Superior LightingI have the Pathway lights and I have the Spotlights. Nobody but you shining like a star. I have them as low as possible and my spotlights small little circle against my house. It’s just glows like the planet Venus. Behind the tv I had Govee lights 5 years. Finally decided to really experiment with the app. Overwhelmed by the beauty and designs already preset. You wouldn’t think after 5 years these little lights would shine like brand new like lights. Then I have the bar lights on my fireplace mantle blinking and winking. It’s more beautiful than any of the Govee pictures on their website. One thing is they too expensive and they advertise sales. But I never seen 1 real sales. Those are the same prices. Once again: Please fix the sleeping feature turning red.Hi, I mentioned this here about three updates ago, and there’s been another and this still hasn’t been addressed. hopefully you can fix it in the NEXT update. When I select the “sleeping” feature and say “ok” with the check mark to have my lamp go off after about 240 minutes, the light turns to a red orange color. Even if I start with it being a nice 2700 Kelvin or so. If you could please rework the timer feature and put the timer right on the main page. Perhaps you could also change it by using the clock time rollers that iOS features, so we could just roll the dial and select one hour and 10 minutes, two hours and thirty minutes etc. Going by just minutes (in my case 270 minutes is difficult and not intuitive. Great but could be improvedThe app is great for controlling lights. There is a lot of controls and may take a while to figure out how to use all of the functions. Main items I have had issue with is going back into groups or a device previously setup and the light color and brightness do not show as they currently are. Seems it always shows default. So when I click to open a group or device I have to adjust the settings again. Brightness always returns to 100% which can be a problem with neighbors. Really needs a flickering candle modeI’ve been using the Govee backlight system for a while now, and overall, it’s a fantastic product with impressive versatility. However, one feature I feel is really missing—and would elevate the system even further—is a flickering candle mode. Decent interfaceThe interface works. Thats about the only good thing its got going. Randomly the app will take 5-10 minutes and a couple times closing and reopening to finally connect to the lights while sitting right next to them. When you finally connect you’re good right? WORST UPDATE TO ANY UI.Do not buy anything from Govee unless you enjoy using one of the most impractical apps for everyday use. I have been using Govee products since 2019, including upgrading to lights that were quite pricey just a year later as I had seen the interface and how amazing it was. Four years later, govee has managed to turn gold into literal dog feces. Nothing is even remotely similar, all practically has gone out the window being replaced by something that looks like it was designed by someone who has never used the products. This is one of the most thoughtless updates I have ever seen in an app; not everyone who uses your products has a gaming or desk setup worth a trip to the Bahamas. I am regretting buying another set of even better lights- what is the point when they are barely usable? I would recommend staying away from Govee products at all unless they revert back to the previous interface. Even then, the switch to this very much downgraded design has truly proved that govee does not care about the average consumer, only those with intricate setups that are not practical for day to day usage. Can’t change shade?When I first got the app it was cool. But then I wanted to have a light kind of like my old lights instead of weird white lights that feel wrong. So I went to yellow or white I think and I turned the shade down to a more yellow white orange thing I don’t remember. But know whenever I go to red or ANY other color it only shows the shade bar for white or yellow I forgot. But also I can’t save the light color that made it look like my old lights. That’s how I got into this situation. I made a color that looks like my old lights, I saved it, and I clicked on it to make sure it worked. But nope… It automatically went to normal white or normal yellow (I can’t remember again). But it seems like I can only save lights that are on the color wheel. This is fine but I would like to be able to switch to a normal light color without having to change the shade. And it makes me really really mad that the shade slider is just stuck on the one color. I can still slide it but, for example, I click on red and the shade slider doesn’t change. The lights change to red. But I can’t change the shade of red. I don’t know how to fix it. App works until it doesn’tSet up over 16 scenes in the app with “tap to run” synced with Siri and randomly today, all the voice shortcuts stopped working. All of them. “Scene does not exist.” So I create a new test scene and it works fine with Siri. Amazing…I get to rebuild all 16 scenes. Nope. Any new shortcut created through Govee overwrites the old one now, and there’s no option to create one in shortcuts app - a problem that has now been diagnosed as a Govee app issue, and not a Siri or iOS issue. Dream View and several other settings that worked perfectly fine before no longer function with lights I bought not too long ago. What made Govee stand out was that it felt like a brand that was building on what it had, not quietly phasing out the customers who got in early. Customer serviceMan this company has went down hill fast. I purchased some string lights 48ft and I immediately received an email saying the order was cancelled so I reordered and received confirmation on that order and a day later received tracking information. When my order showed up they sent both orders but never sent tracking on the one they said was cancelled. I reached out and asked to make everything easier for both parties if they could just charge me for the 96ft since that’s what they sent and refund me the difference. I was asked to send a screen shot of the email I received of the cancelled order like they don’t have that on record. I sent the screen shot and explained the situation again and was told they can send a return service label and refund would be issued when they receive the product back intact like I have control of the way shippers handle these packages. I have sent a reply to all 5 emails and I guess they take a full 24 hours to reply to each one in hope you will just give up and keep them. The app needs work!I really love these lights; however, the scenes are very limited. They don’t even have a proper Fourth of July option with red, white, and blue. Update date broke itI started out with one hygrometer/ thermometer. Then added two more. They worked so well that I added yet two more for a total of five. I grow carnivorous plants and start the seedlings for my vegetable garden and have relied on these thermometers for my house and greenhouse. I can’t give zero starsWithout question, this is the absolute worst app I have ever downloaded and used. It is exceedingly difficult to execute even simple functions in the app. In fact there is no easily defined simple action. You have to pick from lighting scenes or develop some AI induced pattern. You can’t simply select chasing lights, blinking lights these functions which are simple for Christmas light streams don’t exist in the Govee app. You have to define them. To address this, I used tape to secure them, which was effective and not visibly noticeable. Unfortunately, the following day, I discovered that all the LED lights had completely detached from the wall. While the adhesive on the back appeared intact, the lights fell due to their weight. I enlisted the help of my parents, thinking that I could hold the lights up while they assisted in repositioning them. USELESS for recording power usage, look elsewhere!I purchased the H5082 version of Smart Plug Pro to monitor current usage of devices. The hardware itself is solid, the real-time display shows Watts, Amps and Volts that is updates every second. However the display only graphs total watts every hour even when the industry standard is every 15 minuets. WORSE! When I exported the data as CSV, it only lists 3 data points, total watts, how many minuets of that hour it was on (reading data), and the date-time as a single entry, which is useless format for plotting graphs! This is a worthless item! Other recorders would log individual values of W, A, and V, at least every 15 min (usually 1 min intervals), length of logging period, and time with separate values for day, month, year, hour, min, and even second! Worked great till they updated the appThese lights were amazing and affordable for quite some time, over a year, and while the app has had some issues here or there it’s been generally decent. Then an update came out causing all of my house’s lighting to be almost unusable. When first losing the app now it has insane issues even connecting to the network and recognizing the lights, when it does, it requires me to be within 5-8 feet of the light in order to connect, spends 10-15 seconds connecting and now forces me to control each bulb individually rather then being able to control whole rooms or modules. Additionally the lights will now occasionally randomly change to a different color despite maintaining single color modes. Where are the directions?I simply want to connect my light bulbs to this app again. There's no directions on how to turn 5G WIFI network to 2.4G. I had this app for years, and for some reason, it disconnected from the lights. (yes, my Wi-Fi is perfectly fine and is working), I don’t remember how I set it up before but I do remember once lights are found through Bluetooth on the app, it asked me to select 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. NOW IT DOES NOT. if someone could help that would be great.. It’s irritating that it’s now skips this screen because I can’t change my network over. 644 MB Bloated App Size LOL!! (And China-Based Company and Privacy Policy)644 MB for a simple Smart Water Leak Detector app seems crazy excessive, and an absolute memory hog on an iPhone. The app also forces you to accept exceptionally long and complicated terms of use and a privacy policy from an unknown company in China, that at minimum allows them access to some of your personal information (including email address), and appears to allow them to provide this to 3rd parties under certain circumstances. I said “no thanks”, I don’t trust a Chinese app developer with my personal information, and will have to instead use their leak detection hardware without this associated bloated app (meaning I can’t receive leak warnings when outside my home, which reduces its value). To the developer: please reconsider this absolutely bloated 644 MB app size and relaunch something specific for water leak detection only, and with less than 100MB size, preferably less than 50 MB, and doesn’t require users to provide your foreign company with personal information which can be provided to sister companies or even unrelated 3rd parties.MPB22VancouverVersion: 7.3.15
