Talk to your customersI put in a dispute because someone overcharged me and the lady I talk to misunderstand me. This led to them dis activating my card WITHOUT telling me that they were doing it. I went to go use my card today and it wasn’t working and I had no idea why. We’ll come to find out after messaging like 7 people calling 4 more that I have to get an entirely new card because they can’t reactivate my card. Something needs to change. I was also giving misinformation by one of the agents that if i canceled the dispute that they could unlock my card. I now have to wait 7-10 DAYS or pay $24 to get a new card tm. This is absolutely ridiculous. First, you should notify people if you lock their card, especially because you don’t know that it was them in their account, there could be others that have access to those things. Second, you should make it so people are able to get their cards to work after something like this because I don’t have time to wait for a new card. I am a very busy person and don’t really have time to not be able to use my card. How am I supposed to eat? I don’t carry cash because I get paid through this app and there aren’t any ATMs near me to get it out. This needs to change. I do however really like this card and like that I can save things in labeled envelopes and see how much money I have at any given time. Care about your customers moreI had lost my card a while back but locked it and would transfer my funds over to my main bank account. I figured I’d mine as well get a new card so I called and let the gentleman know that I had been transferring funds from one account to another and I really need access to my money because this is my main source of income. He said he understood and that I’d be fine. Later that evening I go to my account and it won’t let me transfer any funds until I get the new card, which is unbelievable. It’s so easy on other apps to do these sorts of things thru the actual account and yet now I’m screwed and can’t get access to any of my money. So I call back and the lady just kept yelling loudly that you have to wait for the card! And kept ranting about the card. Hire innovation then sky is the limitThis app is very clean with the UI. But I will say the user interface is very minimal to begin with. I work for a big company in technology and finance that has wisely as an anytime pay card if you like to have one of those since they are connected up to Adp for my pay which I really love. Wisely has great products and partnerships that can take em far but a just few more features and good decision product roadmaps would take em very far and be very appealing to an everyday user. Gave this a 4/5 but they have the potential to 5/5 as devs implement more features and they grow as a company and I think there’s more to come because of their partnership but as for the app:
My only one complaint is no “pending” funds can be seen from the home page “available funds”. CX messed up there, just put ur eyes in the customers eyes and work backwards. No one wants to spend $500 and the next day the app says that $500 is still there because the original 500 just didn’t clear ACH because it took 1-2 business days to process for some reason . (a tiny bit) and when my weekly pay was deposited onto the card they only took what went over with that over drafted purchase. I’ve had Global Cash Card for at least the last 4-5 years and recently switched to wisely when I needed a replacement card. The only downfall with GCC was their cards were completely garbage and bent and broke easily. My new Wisely card seems thicker and doesn’t seem as cheesy as my GCC’s I’ve had. Save money/ paid quick/ transfers easyWhen I first started using this app, I decided to save money from this specific account, for a trip to Florida. I set the % to save, and forgot about it. Didn’t look at it til months later, closer to the trip. I was amazed at how much I had saved mainly because I didn’t have to practice restraint from spending it. It was in my “special” account. The Wisely savings. I have since learned that I Can save, because of this app. And transferring money to my regular bank account is so simple and takes moments for a small fee, or 2-3 days for free. Great appBeen using this app for a few years now i got my first wisely card as a manager for subway in 2019 and have had it since i use it as my primary banking no over drafts or hidden fees no bullsh*+ customer service via phone can be cumbersome and irritating at times but the online live chat is a life saver only issue i really find that can also be a really great thing thats just annoying st times is the travel notice feature that block's transactions from your card if you are not in the area of residence it was set up for or the address your card is tied to also love that i get my direct deposits three days early! I used to get paid 2 days early, every Wednesday by atleast 5:30pm. Worse Card Company everIf I can put 0 stars I would. Wisley is by far the worse company I’ve ever been with. I tired to cash a check with them and I took the pictures of front and the bank of the check and waited maybe 5 mins to get anything saying it was approved and i paid to have it done within minutes for a fee finally after my screen being frozen for the 5 mins I get an email saying “ Funds Pending! Action is required to release your approved check funds The check you recently submitted was approved for funding pending receipt of your voided check image. If you have not already submitted your voided check image, you must: Write “VOID” boldly in large letters across the entire front of your check in blue or black ink (no pencil), as pictured below.” I then followed the instructions because it stated “the check you recently submitted was approved” so I wrote void on check then went bck on the app only for them to tell me “ We're sorry. There was an error loading your account. Your check has not been loaded. Decline Reason: Your account issuer may not have enabled this functionality for your account. Please contact your account issuer for help in resolving this issue.” I’ve already wrote void on the check so atp I have a useless check, bills need to be paid and all wisley supervisor told me is call a place call “ingo” that I never heard nor dealt with abt cashing my check. Horrible customer serviceI recently called to report a suspicious charge on my card. The person told me it would be looked into and a letter would be sent out to me. Little did I know that they were going to cancel my card. The person on the phone never explained this to me.o had to find it out on my own when I went to the store and the card was declined. I call customer service and they offered to send me the new card overnight for a $30 fee. Haha nice way for them to make some money. So I told them no and I had to wait a week until a new card is sent out. The new card finally arrives and I have to call to set up my Apple wallet. After answering multiple questions they told me it was taken care of and that it would be ready to use. Well a few days pass and I’m still not able to link my card to Apple wallet. I call again and they tell me it takes three business days for the process to take place. I’m beyond frustrated now. I ask to speak to a manager, I get put on hold and hung up on. So I just wait four more days and guess what? It’s still not working. So I have to call “customer service” yet again. So this time the lady says “yes it was suppose to be working by now but I am going to file a report and it should be working in three days.” Seriously?????? I then ask to speak to someone in charge and they tell me that they can not transfer the call to anyone and that someone will call me back in 2 to 3 hours. This has been unreal. Bank serviceI am a client of your bank. I had problems with my account and eventually it was blocked. The reason was not given. I did not make any suspicious manipulations with the account. This account was opened for me by the company where I work on Work and Travel. Now I can’t get my salary, which I earned all summer. I tried to open a new account online, but they told me that they simply cannot open a new account for me. I did not notice any interest in solving my problem from the bank employees. Everyone just says that they cannot help and that’s it. I am very upset that this situation happened and that I am forced to fight for my honestly earned money and cannot get it. I am desperate and I really ask the bank to respond and help me solve this problem. I would not like to solve this problem through the next higher authorities. I hope the bank will start working on the mistakes, improve the quality of customer support and make using the account more convenient and problem-free, so that people will finally want to use your bank.

New AccountI recently signed up for a wisely account through my ADP account. This has been the worst experience! I had my check deposited into my wisely account and was aware that I’d have to wait for a physical card. I was fine because Wisely advertised that there will be an option to add the card to my mobile wallet while waiting for the physical card, thus being able to have access to my funds. That was not the case! I went to add the digital card and it failed twice, thinking it may have been an error I logged out and logged back in to try again and the option to add a digital card was now gone completely. I did a chat with customer service to see about transferring my funds but they advised that it is not allowed without a physical card and directed me to call the Digital Wallet Team. I did so and spoke with someone who gave up after I informed him the option to add to digital wasn’t available in my app. He said I had no choice but to wait!! I called again and the second representative was more helpful, having me uninstall and reinstall the app which unfortunately did not work either. She did apologize but also informed me there is no choice but to wait. This is a major inconvenience to me as my entire check was deposited into my WISELY ACCOUNT!! This is ridiculous that I now have no choice but to wait, I have bills to pay which doesn’t matter either way I should be able to access my funds! There is no disclaimer in regards to encountering an issue such as this one. Needless to say as soon as I get my card and transfer my funds I will be deactivating my account. CONSTANT DECLINES!As a new security feature, wisely declines transactions and then sends you a text message asking if this is you, before the transaction can be tried again and approved. While this isn’t necessarily a bad feature it’s certainly ANNOYING. Every single purchase I make is declined first before I can actually make the purchase! Rent? DECLINED. I get a text asking if it’s me I say yes and then try again. Sending money through Apple Pay? DECLINED first before I am able to money. Childcare expenses? DECLINED. Everything is DECLINED under the pretense of “suspicious activity” even though these are my normal expenses. I tried reaching out twice to customer service to see if this could be resolved. I wanted to know if this was a feature I could potentially turn off. If not I wanted to know how long it’d take for my purchasing habits to be learned before I would see a decrease in card declines. I was basically told to just continue what I’ve been doing, get the message and respond yes and re-try my purchases. I wish it could be lowerHonestly everything was wonderful until the new update where you have to verify every single f.in transaction, I tried talking to the agents but the chat option kept kicking me out and every time it restart I had to reexplain my issue which was kinda hard to explain. ADP loses here. Don’t botherADP loses here. My employer switched payroll processors from and ADP competitor ( that doesn’t offer an integrated bank option such as Wisely) to ADP. My payroll was formerly being deposited into 2 other banking solutions that are well known and widely advertise ‘get paid two days earlier’ . My employer would process payroll on noon on a Wednesday and I would get the deposit by 4PM - a whole 3 days before my Friday payday. After the switch we got stuck in ADP’s monstrous batch processing cycles and that 3 days shrunk to a solid and barely 2 days before my advertised paydate. I thought going to Wisely would put them on par with their bigger and better competitors in this metric. I didn’t. On to the app itself Wisely doesn’t offer any features and in fact less meaningful features than the other more well known solutions in their space. Don’t waste your time with this app. The reviews regarding customer service here are troubling also. Stick with the better brands here you will thank me.

Literally the worst customer service I’ve ever hadCalled for the simple task of setting up my Apple Pay, the CSR I was speaking to for whatever reason didn’t like the answer I gave him to one of their security questions and made it to where I needed to speak with a “specialist” unfortunately my called was disconnected (my fault) so I called back and told them I was just on the phone with someone..blah, blah,blah and said I just need to finish up my apple pay stuff with them..I was told that they couldn’t help that I needed to WAIT for someone to call me back sometime today, no time frame...and that they couldn’t help with anything, I then asked to speak with a manager/supervisor about my situation and was again told that THERE WERE NO SUPERVISORS AVAILABLE AND THAT I NEEDED TO WAIT FOR A CALL BACK, the CSR stated that he could place me on hold to wait for one and he said that we were going back and fourth and then proceeded to tell me to have a good day AND ENDED THE CALL WHILE I WAS SPEAKING TO HIM. Called back a third time and spoke with someone and asked to speak with a manager and was placed on hold and the they too ENDED THE PHONE CALL. This is a joke, I have to talk to people on a daily basis for work and would never hang up on a customer.

Worst experience EVERI called in to ask a question regarding getting a new card because and if I was able to use Apple Pay until I got my new card in the mail so I could pay my car note that is due Friday. It had to be by far the WORST experience ever with any company! The agents I spoke to should be FIRED. Don’t recommendThis is the worst decision I’ve ever made the fact that it’s the only banking app that won’t show you your card number on the app. If you accidentally leave your card at home or any other instance is ridiculous and when you call, they don’t have access to the card number to give to you after verifying is stupid. When a issue or inconvenience is present, (weather your fault or theirs) wisely take no accountability and leave you to figure out everything on your own, or they will question you to death asking for proof. Then when you present the proof your still waiting weeks for you money 7-10 business days. Making it totally impossible to keep your money, and don’t give nobody a hard time but you. They have token so much of my money over the years cause the hassle they give you. Not they type of institution you want over your funds!
Only benefit is there’s a savings where you can transfer (no one can touch) but if you leave the money in the acc they will literally spend your money the way they see fit. Worst service, terrible business practices.I went to cash a check through their app and it bounce with no explanation. I had to spend 4hours calling them and the different companies the subcontract through to find out wisely did not change my card info on file so no one had it. When I asked if they could simply call the company and change it the denied the request and bounced me around from person to person just to tell me they “launch an investigation” on the matter AFTER I told them THE EXACT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. Not to mention there’s a holding charge on EVERY BAR, HOTEL, GAS STATION ETC. that takes WEEKS to get reversed. The daily pay option is a once a week transfer and they’re very inconsistent with updating your account that the funds were transferred. Having so much trouble just trying to get my paycheckI tried multiple times to upgrade my card because I got an email telling me my paycheck would not be deposited unless I upgraded… ok I go to upgrade and without doing anything it immediately tells me I can’t upgrade (but can still use my card as normal. Zero stars if possibleMy employer uses Wisely to deposit my paycheck. The problem is trying to get access to my own funds through Wisely. First I tried to set up my bank account because the Wisely app says you can transfer funds directly to another bank. I put in my bank information, swiped to confirm the amount I wanted to transfer, and got an error message, “Sorry! There was a problem.” I checked to make sure I had entered the bank information correctly, tried the transfer again, and got the same informative message, “Sorry! There was a problem.” I tried a third time, with a smaller dollar amount, and got the same message. Next I thought maybe for some reason it doesn’t like that bank. There’s another bank I do business with, so I put in that bank’s information. I tried to transfer to that bank and, you guessed it, “Sorry! There was a problem.” Then I thought of another option. Wisely provides their own routing number and account information. I entered this information into my credit card account to make a payment toward my credit card. To my surprise, it went through just fine! Great, apparently I found a way to access my money. But wait, not so fast! Month two comes, and I set up my credit card payment the same way as last month. Then my credit card company sends me a notice that there were insufficient funds in the account even though there were plenty of funds! I had submitted the payment a week after the funds were deposited to my account and was only using a portion of the available funds. The credit card notice said they would try again over the next few days, and in the end sent me a follow-up notice saying the payment was returned with return reason: uncollectible funds, along with a $29 charge for returned payment fee. As of now I still haven’t figured out how to get access to my funds electronically.

Lots of not working partsNot only does the app have several options that just don’t work but the customer service is awful. I’ve had fraudulent charges on my account a couple times (mainly because I make impulse purchases online) but every time one shows up I never and I mean NEVER get my money back. Another thing there’s a button that’s to make transfers from “peer to peer” that doesn’t work. Everyone I work with has tried to set it up but the button just doesn’t work. My wife also has one of these account, as she’s a server also, and there’s many times we need to transfer money from my account to hers or hers to mine. I’m sitting here mouth openHad I read the reviews before depositing three checks, I would have NOT done it. Sure enough - after waiting the 15 day processing time, I had to search for where the money was and it has been denied. No contact, no alert, no nothing. In-network ATMs have hidden feesIt don’t matter if you go to a in-network atm you will still be charged the fees of $1.75 plus a $3 dollar fee on top in witch the WISELY system don’t pick it up as a fees. So for example I went to a in-network atm that I found Thur the app when there withdrew $200 but the atm machine charged me $3 plus the $1.75 transaction fee so in my account history you can see how it says atm withdrawal of $203 dollars witch every one knows that the atms do not give $1 dollar bills only $20’s I contacted you guys using the apps chat with us but it don’t work as soon as I got to chat with an actual person it will give me an error and kick me out the chat this happened 3 times horrible customer service and experience. User beware.I had to use this card for a new job. Money goes in quickly. But my card got hacked no fault to my own as I never got a chance to use it. It’s going on a month now of me not being able to access my money. Called them the day it got hacked. Got hung up out. Messaged them in the app 10+ times. So many promises, none of them keptJust to start, I am in the process of leaving my job and this payment form was a big part of that decision.
My employer has recently switched to this rather than cash payout at the end of the night and it’s been nothing short of a nightmare. The entire staff has had nothing but issues.
My first issue is with this “2-3 business days” nonsense. I’m still waiting after 5 and 7 business days for 3 separate deposits. I’ve seen several instances of it taking a week to deposit from this card to your bank account.
Another huge issue is them advertising you can pay bills with this card. It is technically considered a prepaid card, so unless you have bills with anywhere that will accept that, you’re out of luck.
My final issue is the ridiculous fees they like to tack on with little notice. A $7.50 “wisely transaction” fee in addition to a traditional atm fee??? It’s just ridiculous these people are scamming people into giving them their business.
All in all, this app has made keeping track of my finances a nightmare. I never know if my money will be in my account on time for my bills to pull from, since I can’t pay them with this sad excuse for a financial service as they advertise. Hopefully I’m onto a new job soon that doesn’t entertain nonsense like this. With so many 5 stars I’m guessing it’s either paid reviews or companies that have deals with them for their payroll. What a joke of a bank1st - their single transaction limit is $2500. For those of us living in expensive cities, you can imagine this card can’t even be used to pay rent.
2nd - I tried adding my card to my mobile Apple wallet on October 1st, the card required verification and prompted me to call the bank to verify which I did. They told it would take 24 hours to verify and my card would be usable then. October 10th my card was still not verified in the Apple wallet, I called back, got the same “24 hours” and “escalation” nonsense. October 11th I called AGAIN and AGAIN got the same “24 hours” nonsense despite me telling them I’d been through this already. Today October 16th I call with the same issue and take a wild guess what I was told :) thankfully I had the foresight to stop my deposits to this bank, I closed the account today.

Don’t recommendI got this card when I first started my job I was only able to use this a few times and when I went to use it again it kept saying card error, I tried it again at 2 more stores and it continued to say card error, I called the number on the back of the card and they didn’t help me the next day I called again and the guy I spoke to said I will receive a new card 7-10 business days and I called the next day because I noticed when I logged into the app I seen a transaction I DIDNT recognize so I’m assuming after the call he used my card information to purchase something and it all makes sense because he was the only one “helping” WHICH IS SCARY. NegligentVery disappointed in my customer service experience and in the companys’ negligence overall to assist me with my problem. My Wisely card expired before I was able to register it, and I was told by customer service that to access my account/money I again needed to submit documentation to verify my identity so they could send me a new card. I submitted the needed forms and after the process to verify me took 3 business days, plus another 7 business days to get the new Wisely card mailed to me. After receiving my new Wisely card and registering it online I was then informed that there was no money in my account, because a check had been mailed to me 3 months prior. The agent I spoke with obviously didn’t understand my problem and took no time to look into the matter further. They wasted my time and their own with a verification process that was not necessary.
My second custom service experience with them was just as terrible. My initial Wisely card was mailed to the wrong address, which is why I never received it. The card was then mailed back to my employer as undeliverable from the post office. Instead of contacting me for updated information, they simply closed my account and mailed a check to the same address they had on file which they had proof of was incorrect. My check was never received by me and I was told there’s nothing they can do. When I asked to speak with the manager I was told there was no way for me to contact other departments, and that I was speaking to and I quote “the supervisor of the supervisors department”. I plan to continue my dispute with legal action but ultimately I’m frustrated that all of this could have been avoided with a phone call or email to me for updated information. For a company that boasts about its protection policies in place for all of their customers, they fail in one of the most basic aspects of a financial institution - attention to detail. Customer Service No Help At AllAfter upgrading my card so I could cash my check into it, I tried to cash this check. When I went into the menu and tried to do this, the app would tell me that there is a server error and that I need to update my date of birth. I first try asking the AI bot for help and I couldn’t even type what I wanted to type. The app would not let me type. I then call customer services hoping for an actual answer and all she tells me is that I have the right birthday on file. She tells me to try looking if I’m logged in the right account. I try telling her I’m logging and she says, “okay great” and the call ended and I’m still confused with the cashed check not in my account. In addition to that I had tried upgrading my card so many times to which I had to upload a picture of my license, and I tried 3 days consecutively to upgrade it and every single time the card would simply not upgrade. Useful but needs a lot of workThree bugs and 1 functionality all need to be urgently addressed:
1. You need to test your chat app with an iPhone running iOS (not a cpu simulation). The chat app is very difficult to use. iPhones have a swipe-from-bottom-up feature on their device screens and your chat input box sits below it with almost no room to enter text or click the send button.
2. The left-hand menu (hamburger menu) disappears when a user clicks an option within the menu to go a level deeper.
3. Your feedback section within the app appears to have a text limit that even if reached causes an error. Your text input box is not a typical iOS text input box (like, this one I’m using in the App Store, for example). Instead it’s very bugging and difficult to even enter text into.
4. This is an important functionality request but the inability to easily access transaction information in “Pay My Bill” may violate ACH terms and US federal banking law. Users need to be able to ensure they are submitting bills to the correct Payee before submission. This means the Payee address needs to be available to users. Also, the account number input by users needs to be visible during and after the transaction for verification purposes. Users should be able to see basic details. The Ava chatbot was more than useless in this regard because it could not provide basic transaction details. The live agent was also limited in their ability to see information when all I asked for was verification of account number and payee address. Instead, I was referred to a toll-free number, which is BY FAR the least efficient way verify information and the one most prone to error..FirebuttonmanVersion: 1.8.1
Don’t ever use wiselyHands down one of the worst customer service and companies out here. I ordered a new card and they said my address was invalid even though it was updated in the app and told the person on the phone my address. They deactivated my card with money on it and I needed to transfer money to my actual bank account and they said I had to wait 3 weeks. I’m running very tight on money and they could not do anything about it. The only thing they said I could do was pay for express delivery which was 30 dollars and ended up paying. Unhelpful, More Stress Than Common SenseIf I could give negative -0 for this review I would! I received a card for my paycheck for my current seasonal job. My Human Resources team made a mistake and put my last 4 of my SSC card by one number. They called these moronic people and explained to them as well as my manager which they had the rudeness to not speak to her. I tried numerous times explaining to them my card was activated, let them know in my own words about the situation and gave my correct last 4. Their continued stupidity their automated system took my correct number and their idiot customer service operators kept repeating the same thing of making me send in in a picture of my id and ssc card. Can’t solve small problemsI applied for a card and ADP auto populated my address incorrectly. So I called to tell them I needed to change it because you can’t make edits until you have a card.. well I couldn’t get my card because the address was wrong. Switch banks immediately!I have all my information correct and when I call the phone number and speak to the representative they say all my information checks out. Yet, i’ve called them about 13 times in the last 3 weeks trying to get an an answer on why all my information is correct, but I can’t even log in to register my card fully and access my money. A $20 dispute takes 5. Months to solveI cannot stress enough how terrible my experience with Wisely has been. I filed a simple dispute over a $20 charge, and after 5 months of constant follow-ups, I still don’t have a resolution. It’s beyond frustrating and honestly unacceptable. Piece of Crap cardMy employer uses Wisely as a pay card. I also drive with Uber so I decided to have my Uber pay loaded onto the Wisely card, too. However, the only way this can be done is by getting a free “upgraded card.” Through the app, I followed the link to upgrade the card. When I clicked “upgrade,” there was a notice that said my identity had to be verified and if it could not be verified the acct would be closed in 30 days. I clicked continue and was asked to verify the info in my profile. I clicked continue and the very next screen said, “We were unable to verify your identity. Your acct will be closed in 30 days.”
I panicked and then selected the chat feature in the app to chat with a rep. That person gave me a website where I could upload my ID and SSN and have the acct reviewed. I was told a review could take 2-3 business days. I gave them 5 days before calling today for an update. I was told by a low-level rep and then by Supervisor “Diego” that when “the system” gives the notice that the acct will be closed there is nothing they can do to reverse or fix it.
In summary:
1) By trying to upgrade this card, Wisely screwed me because there is apparently a bug in their tech that is automatically closing accts when someone tries to upgrade.
2) Once “the system” decides to close your acct, this is irreversible and there is nothing that a human rep for Wisely can do to fix it (even after they tell you there is something they can do to fix it.)
Now I get the hassle of having to go down all the way to HR to change my payment to direct deposit.

High Fees Not in Line with Other OptionsIf your given one of these cards by your employer you can just give them direct deposit information for your bank account or another card product account (Cogni, acorns, moneylion, Dave, sofi, branch etc) to avoid the high fees of this card. My fees were $88 for 2019, $3 for atm (plus what the atm owner bank charges) most accounts these days have no atm fees or offer reimbursement for a certain amount of fees. This means if you take $20 out of an atm your looking at $6-$7 in fees!!!! This app is so frustratingI wish I could rate this lower. After reading through other reviews I realize Im not the only one with problems regarding this app. There is a possibility that it could be user error but not only does every transfer I try to complete not work, but the app is so difficult to use.
