GrubhubIt usually takes an hour or so to get a good enough order to take. When you go to the restaurant it’s almost never ready because Grubhub sends the order to the driver too soon. If I want to keep the order I 95% of the time have to make a trip back to the restaurant to avoid a 20 minute or more wait. This long wait at the restaurant leads to a high cancellation rate and driver dissatisfaction. When you drop off the order you cannot review whether you liked or disliked this restaurant or customer. When going to an unsafe area it would be nice if they would ask you if you liked this order. So they can mark it in their system if there was a problem. When you drop off the order you almost always get the exact same amount of money. You would think if you went above and beyond being quick and customer friendly they would give you a little more but it’s the way the Grubhub App is set up that makes this the case. Double ordersDouble orders are a disaster for the drivers while we would love to make money and get more runs it just doesn’t run smoothly 90% of the time when receiving double orders. U pick one order up then go to the next and it’s not ready grub hub sends u messages saying looks like u picked up an order but aren’t moving toward the drop off location..well u can’t move anywhere until u receive the 2nd order..Vice versa u except a double order then get to the 1St pick up and the food isn’t ready u have a good chance that grub hub is going to reassign the 2nd order bcuz u aren’t moving toward picking it up because u are still waiting for the first to be ready which then messes up the drivers cancellation ratings which is totally unfair because it is not the driver fault that the first order isn’t ready so u get penalized for the restaurant not having first order ready! Support and offer screen could improveOne gig took me to a house in a neighborhood. I called support, and the Indian voice on the other end kept telling me it’s a virtual restaurant. I understood that, but virtual restaurants are in real restaurants, not houses. I knew this was the nearby Ihop, so I drove there, and I couldn’t mark “arrived,” because I wasn’t in that housing addition. I called support again and was again told it’s a virtual restaurant. I explained several times slowly so that he could understand that I know it’s a virtual restaurant, and that it’s in the IHOP I was at, not in the house the app led me to. He wasn’t getting it. Out of frustration, I finally figured out how to remove myself from this delivery. I took a hit from GrubHub for doing so. My first “strike” from a delivery app. I tried my best. Regarding the offer screen, I can’t see the map. There’s just a thin bit of map above the delivery information, and I have to move that sliver of a map around to find pickup and delivery locations. The arrow that is supposed to move the text down and out of the way moves it about 1 mm down. In other words, it doesn’t do anything. Great for someone who want to make there own hoursOnly complaint’s I have are I deliver in one town and I get offers to go 30 to 40 miles out of town to deliver order for a very cheap amount and if I don’t take the order in another bigger town because you offered it to me back to back you drop me from my block. You need to set zones for each town that people deliver in that way they don’t have to go or be offered a order 40 miles out of town you’re asking me to go 80 miles round-trip for eight dollars there and back that’s not right at all other apps have set zones that you deliver in for that town not another town you need to update to that I believe so you’re not offering people to go 80 miles round-trip for eight dollars and dropping their blocks because they can’t drive that far Other apps offer so much more They also offer a debit card linked to them for when you’re done delivering during your scheduled hours that day the money you made directly goes on that card as soon as you’re done please update the zones like it’s really not fair that you’re asking people that deliver in one town to go to another town way out of their way at not for a very good or fair price I wasn’t even offered enough to cover my gas there and back!.JennRob81Version: 4.74
Double orders and low payWhenever I get double orders, Rob does not notify the customers that I have double orders so they keep expecting me to deliver their order as soon as is marked, picked up even when I’m still on my way to go pick up the second order. And the worst part of this whole thing is that drop up will start reminding you that you haven’t move closer to delivery after picking up, not telling them that you are still trying to pick up the second order this is a mess. Customer insulted me for being late to her delivery, even though I never wasted time when I picked up the order according to her, she saw me in a different place instead of me coming straight to her, I tried to explain to her that I had to deliveries and was finishing up. She insisted that if I had to deliveries that they would have been notified. I understand what they mean by this because even DoorDash would always notify the customer that the driver is finishing up a delivery from Customer. Please do something about it and also your new payment is not fair anymore. You keep sending $2 to $4 each time for delivery if we don’t pick it, you mark it against us for not accepting orders. Great App!I have been working with GrubHub since March of 2021, and I have not really had any issues whatsoever with the application. It is really helpful in scheduling, letting you know where the hotspots are, navigating to restaurants, chatting with customer service, reporting restaurant closures, and so much more!
Plus the instant cash out feature is wonderful for anyone looking for an instant deposit. A little bit of advice, avoid the fee by getting or having an account with the same bank that GrubHub suggests in your initial set up for your account (Chase Bank) not only will it avoid the instant cash out fee, it will also only take approximately 15 minutes to be available in the app to cash out to your bank account. I believe it is the same time for other banks however there is a certain fee for the instant cash out feature when you do not have a Chase Bank account.

Terrible pay/milesage ratioThe new pay for orders and the miles of the deliveries are not matching. Grubhub decreased the pay on the orders and want drivers to deliver more miles for less. It seems as if they don’t car how much traffic or gas are in the drivers city. Example: 2 orders from 2 different restaurants shouldn’t be $7 and the driver has to go 8+ miles, sometimes the customers houses are in opposition direction. Also Grubhub should take out the “on time at the restaurant “ button because either one restaurant is taking too long with an order or the driver has to deliver the customer food in a high riser building and has to wait for elevators, doorman, or customer. This app has significantly reduced the normal payout of a average days of work and this will lead to less drivers picking up blocks. Also take away the multiple buttons to call the restaurant or customer. It’s no reason I have to press the call button 3x just to call someone. Nice PotentialI always enjoyed being able to have the freedom of working independently. I use to drive for other ride share companies back in the day and done it as a full time job. I also enjoy being able to make extra side money with Grubhub. However, I think the software could use more development. I took multiple picture of an order yesterday and it would not submit. I even tried to call while on the order and it wouldn’t go through. I had to move my car because where I drive in Philadelphia most of the streets are small and narrow. I sat on the side of the road and waited an hour. I finally took a random picture just to see if I could finally mark as delivery and of course it went through. I contacted customer care to inform them of what happened but I still ended up with a violation. I was very upset because it wasn’t my fault. I do enjoy the benefits of Grubhub but that incident is one of the reasons I will give it three stars. Also, because, sometimes the software will state that I’m not driving to the location but the app needs to consider traffic in a major city. Grub hub driverThe app does work, does the job, period. Opportunity for improvement; 1. When picking up multiple orders and one order is going to be very late for pick up, it would be nice to be able to jump to next task and deliver the order that is ready now and come back for the second order when it’s ready. 2. Seeing that on some occasions the navigate button is transferring the incorrect address to the gps nav app, need to find and fix this. 3. Would like stronger notification, sometimes an order notification does not pop up, have not figured out why. 4. Would like an order ready indicator on the order info screen, sometimes I don’t see the pop up and those pop ups go away as in no way to view them after the fact. 5. Indicate when a customer is or has modified their tip. If customer is posting a high tip to get the order picked quick and then reducing it during the delivery that is not cool. App issuesYou can be a premier, but not get the benefit of that because the app failures they will claim it is your phone and on your end when it’s not. Set availability is supposed to let you select any timeslots for the following week. I have uninstalled reinstalled updated tried everything multiple times and everything is grayed out except for at the top it’s displaying wrong and the only two times that are not grayed out are 11:30 PM and 12 AM Everything else is grayed out and you can’t select it also, it’s not supposed to display 12 AM then under that 11:30 PM then under that 12 AM again So for me on my end, regardless of what I do even though I’m a premier and it should let me select any time for the following week it doesn’t because it’s displaying the screen wrong and showing the wrong times at the top, which then grays everything out except for the top two times THIS IS NOT BLOCK SELECTION this is set availability so nothing should be greyed out. it all worked fine before, no problems for years now it doesn’t no matter what I do on my end..Driver techyVersion: 4.82
GH has been a blessing to me!!!Been doing GH for 3 months now in GA using a motorcycle. Being able to go quickly and efficiently on my motorcycle, I’ve consistently made $20-$30+ an hour every single time that I’ve turned the app on and it’s EXTREMELY easy. I easily make anywhere from $150-$250+ each day depending on how early I go online. The people who are saying the app are bad are below average losers who would do bad in any job tbh. Yes every once in a while you’ll go to a restaurant that ends up being closed, or drive part way to a restaurant and the order gets canceled, or have to wait a while for a restaurant to finish making the food, but that happens with ANY courier job (I’ve tried Uber eats, postmates, door dash — it happens with all of them the same). The people complaining about that are just too stupid to realize that’s an unavoidable part of the job. The app tells you the value of all orders before you take them so if you see a $7 one from somewhere like PopEyes you simply don’t take it because you know the customer didn’t tip. As long as you’re selective with your orders like that and learn which restaurants are generally a waste of time going to (kfc, Popeyes, Taco Bell, Steak ‘n Shake, bojangles, etc) then you will make a ton of profit. The people who are crying that the app is bad are too stupid to realize that certain restaurants are ALWAYS slow to make the food and as long as you avoid those restaurants you’re golden. GH has paid me much more than any other courier app has, and it seriously helped me out of a tough financial situation. SweetI have been a third-party contractor with a GrubHub for nearly 5 years and I really enjoy it initially during the pandemic. I picked this up as a side gig and it paid really well but due to economic recession and shrink inflation. I noticed that people are using the app less less it’s good as a side gig, but this should not be your main hustle if you catch my drift. A terrible app for driversThis is the worst app for any driver, and no driver deserves to go through what they are going through with this app, the complain here are similar if you go through the reviews for many period of time, yet nothing has been done to make changes, it only means one thing. It’s okayI have to disagree with a lot of the complaints. I don’t know if I’ve just been lucky, or if it’s just the area, but it’s been a lot busier since covid started. There are times when the order gets cancelled after you get there, but in my experience, it only happens once a month at most. 95% of the time, orders go smoothly with no problems. I also like that if there’s no tip, grubhub pays you more. If there is a tip, the pay is kinda meh, but what do you expect from a job like this? Great but needs to add a weather featureFirst off, I’d like to say that this in my experience is a really good food delivery app for drivers. I make twice as much if not much more per order than I did for DoorDash, though I would love more frequent orders or tag on orders. I will say though that this app needs a new safety feature - weather. While rainy days are good for business, I really need to be able to drop a block because of dangerous weather without it affecting my driver level, access to scheduling, and ability to make profit. I make my schedule as soon as it comes available to me (beginning of each week) but sometimes the weather will change. What will be a nice sunny day for work at the beginning of the week, can turn in to “it’s storming so bad I can’t see” in a matter of hours in Indiana and I never know when that will be. Better than DD, but dont expect too muchI downloaded grubhub to try out other delivery apps, they put me on the waitlist which took 2 months to let me start delivering, but the account process was easy. Although the wait was long, I started just fine and did very good within my first week.
After a month of using, it’s fine overall. I can deliver in my area without worrying about my area being full or claiming a spot unlike some apps..( cough.. Door Dash..)
I like the option of switching my account to available for offers with or without schedule. However, scheduling is most likely a better guarantee to get offers, but I’ve gotten offers just fine without it.
The pay? Honestly, it’s not that bad. It’s a very mixed bag of how much you can make with 3 offers on any day, but it’s better than nothing.

Errors with navigatingToday I had the worst experience in the world as I try to do my best and everything I do, and especially taking care of the customers because it’s important to me. I take pride and everything that I do the app today did not help me at all it did not help me reach customer service as I had to Google the phone number to speak to a representative, as there was an error in in navigating, the navigating button did not put the right address did not take me to the right place wasted my time and then the order was passed along to someone else it’s not the passing along that I mind is that I was inconvenienced by the error of the navigation button by not taking me where I needed to go and then on top of that there was no way for me to physically reach someone on the phone to respond more quickly to let know what is going on. I had to google the phone number to reach customer service. I guess this is something you already know, I’m really surprised GrubHub you are not taking action on that kind of problem. How am I supposed to deal with something like that on this app? I had to reach out on my own by googling customer service phone number reaching customer service explaining to customer service what is going on then being told and I need to go to a different site to be able to explain what is going on, I hope you guys look at this very carefully. Deactivated Account & No HelpI use to Deliver with GrubHub a while back, about a few months ago and I was making really good money. In my area, specifically, it’s been really active so, I’m glad. But, the issue is that I took a long needed break for family health reasons and school reasons for my kids. Keep in mind, Delivering for GrubHub was a BIG, BIG, BIG help for my kids and myself. It’s just us with no family help and we’re stuck in a hotel. GrubHun was helping us out of the hole were stuck in but, NOW when I went to log back in it told me my account needed to be reactivated. Which I filled the forms out and sent in the documents and I’ve gotten nowhere. None of my information has changed. My background is the same, address the same, EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. So, why am I having such a hard time getting my account reactivated?!?!?! I don’t get it. Fix your order dispatch system!I love how the highlighted photo is over one year old. What has happened since I got the app in May. Well, the order system hasn’t worked properly since late June. You have to wait at least 10-20 minutes minimum for just about every order. You call them and they have no time frame when it will be fixed. So GrubHub respond is to let drivers drop orders. In the past, you had to beg support to get you off the order. Why did they do this? Because of the driver tier program. Instead of handling the dispatch issues, they leave it up to the driver to screw themselves. See you basically have to take everything to get Premier or Pro status. Without that, partner level is horrible. The next genius idea was to get rid of the minimum offer amount. So all the $7-9 offers are now replaced with as low as $4. So how are you supposed to make money waiting 20-30 minutes for low offers before you start the usual 8-10 miles delivery and that’s one way. My favorite is the “GrubHub guarantee”. Instead of giving customers $5 of its late, how about you FIX THE DISPATCH! The only good part about GrubHub is that the offer amount is the offer amount. Other than that, it is a very broken platform being run into the ground by their new owner, JET (Just Eat Takeaway), from Europe. I don’t know how things operate over in Europe but all you have done is change the GrubHub colors and make everything worse. Deactivate you anytime for any reason or no reason at allWorked for Grubhub for 6 months or so was a premiere driver with over 1500 deliveries, working 35+ hrs per week and they just ”temporarily suspended” me over 6 weeks ago according to driver support. No warning, no email explaining why, just one day wouldn’t let me log in. Support didn’t know why and all they could do was escalate it to the dept that could. Promised me 3x’s that I would get an email within 48 hours. Never happened. This company could care less about its delivery partners. And probably about anyone for that matter. They blame drivers when stores are closed, when the order is late because it’s not placed until the driver arrives at the restaurant many times. It’s unreal. I have never multi-app’d so if the order is late it’s because that is how long it took. They send add on orders when you are 6 miles out from a delivery and 7 miles from there to the next store and then messages to “keep going.” 😂😂😂 Like I’m at a red light, u kidding me😂 Good luck to anyone who partners with Grubhub. App punishes userThe apps inability to keep track of drivers using it accurately falsely determines that they are logged out or not moving assigning demerits and unassigning deliveries already agreed to. The amount of times I have driven around, waiting for an assignment only to see GrubHub has logged me out again because they can’t find me is ridiculous. All of my other apps, one’s dependent on GPS, all work. I can have full bars, and still the GrubHub app can’t find me. I’m running the current version of Grubhub with the current iPhone on the current operating system, I even went out and bought a brand new iPhone because I thought Grubhub was crashing so much It must be my phone. The inability for drivers to rate restaurants is beyond frustrating. I’ve had a restaurant have me wait for nearly 2 hours before handing over a simple order for me to deliver. I’ve had restaurant workers order me around like I am their subordinate or employee.
There is no way to opt out of disrespectful, restaurants, or dangerous neighborhoods for that matter. In my area where there are shootings and murders on street corners in certain areas, this is literally a life and death issue. Should you choose not to except a delivery to a dangerous area or from a disrespectful restaurant that will waste your time you will be punished. Outdated system, many glitches and bugs that they don’t fix, driver support is useless.I’ve been a driver since I would say early 2021 and it was a decent working app up until this past year. Seems like they have given up on fixing any issues within the app or maybe the issues are just happening to me and they don’t care. So as far as I know it’s 2025 & GrubHub is the only gig driver delivery app that doesn’t have their own prepaid card for drivers to receive their earnings for no fees & within a timely manner. But you have to link your bank account or a debit card (which hasn’t worked for me for the longest time and they have yet to fix it) & manually cash out your earnings for a 50 cent fee. Or wait until after 2 AM Monday morning for a direct deposit (which is free) but depending on your bank and if it’s a bank holiday, could take awhile to receive your money. But as I mentioned all their competitors such as Walmart spark driver who I also work for, have their own debit cards and you get paid the same day (if there’s no issues with the app or a holiday). Where to startWell first you can’t work when you want and quit when you want ... that’s a lie and the $10 equivalent is also their are requirements to receive that ...had two days blocks had to drop due to an tooth procedure for emergency and than when it refreshed it dropped my program level below taking me off the first pick of blocks called tried to explain and also offer to send in doctors papers but nope ... than with the working you get 1 order every hour either at the beginning and or end of your block making you work “over” your schedules block and mutiple times I have been sent out of my del. area to 45 min outside driving out of the designated del . This is a thankless jobI had been delivering for DoorDash for about 6 months when I decided to give grub hub a shot. I thought, maybe i would make more tips if there wasn’t a $5.99 delivery fee.
I have hated every order I’ve completed (and tried to complete) with grub hub. The app is dumb and requires entirely too much button pushing and mileage on my car. There have been 2 orders that have been cancelled after I’ve pulled up at the restaurant, and one order that I couldn’t complete because the restaurant was closed when I got there, but 10 minutes before they were actually supposed to close. I get compensated LITERALLY $0 for those orders, after I drive OVER 12 MILES one way. And even the orders I’m completing, you’re paying me EXACTLY what a gallon of gas costs and hardly anything more. Definitely not enough to compensate for my time or the amount of wear these trips are adding on my car. And you only send me to crap parts of town and in all seriousness, NOBODY in the area I keep going back and forth to, tips. So, $12 to drive 24-30miles round trip....NOT WORTH IT. And considering the 3 orders that I drove 20+ miles to complete and couldn’t....I’d say, I’m in the red. Not to mention, if you email the service people, they do not respond to you.
And obviously, I’m not the only one having issues, bc most of the orders I receive were supposed to be picked up nearly an hour before I ever receive the order. It’s just stupid. Nasty cultureThey give points to driver if the customer cancel the order. And even this app’s manager cancel the order to give points to any driver to reduce the number of drivers. They always try to put down the driver. This grubhub never understand how much the driver is working hard even in the freezing winter and hot summer. They just sit in their air conditioned office and say you got points because the customer canceled the order. Most corrupt company to work for!!I worked for them for almost a year and quickly became a premier driver for them at first it wasn’t too bad except for there horrible app it’s very unreliable and tends to have quite of few bugs that can really mess with your deliveries I even thought it was my phone so I bought the newest iPhone but even after there was a few times the app crashed mid delivery and I had to call support to try an finish the delivery which support also is terrible to deal with an often times will just tell you to take the loss an just take the food back to the restaurant. Worst SupportI would give the app 5 stars if it wasn’t for the support team, it’s a very good job, pays well and the app works fine. But i had so many frustrations with the support team, i got 2 unfair absents witch impacts heavily your priority of picking up schedules, it affects your earnings badly when it happens. The first one i was making a delivery outside my area (for a grubhub delivery) and in my way back my block started while i was still returning to my area, it’s a understandable issue that was supposed to be easily fixed, but no one in the support helped me, and it was obvious they weren’t even trying. All aroundBeen doing GH for over a year, used to pay well, but now with gas creeping to $5/gal, I’m working to just fill my tank. Customer service, ha, that’s a joke. The ding you for farting the wrong way. They have no sense of time it takes some places to prepare food, especially at busier times. They tell me I have significantly late orders, as if it’s my wrong doing, when in fact they don’t take in consideration restaurants are busy. I had to wait 70 mins for an order and I put it in the app the wait time, and that’s what I got. So lame cuz you drop the order due to wait time and you get penalized. They penalize you for everything that has nothing to do with you, but you have to either take the hit and be demoted per se or wait and get paid squat. If you don’t have to really make an earning, and have an electric car, app is great for you. Otherwise, it’s better to just go elsewhere. Don’t get me started on customers tips for driving 20+ miles. Not impressedAfter driving Uber eats then grub hub they are definitely skimping on pay same orders I would take on Uber eats that pay 20 plus grub hub pays 10 to 12 and god forbid they sneak in a double order. Take that into consideration the time it actually takes to drive to deal with restaurants that don’t prioritize online deliveries and getting it to the customer even if your going as fast as possible your lucky to make 20 an hour and that doesn’t include gas maintenance anything could be standing at McDonald’s doing nothing for more. Don’t do itI stopped driving for grubhub because it’s just not worth it. Several times I have tried to calculate how I am getting paid, and it doesn’t add up. They will add promotions, and then won’t pay you for exceeding that promotion. The wear and tear on your vehicle is not worth it. I have spent $645 to fix my steering after driving around the rugged roads of Pittsburgh with all of its pothole. Constant oil changes, and constant tire issues from running over glass, and other objects in the street is inconvenient. Grubhub doesn’t offer any benefits, so their “contractors” which is just another way to say “we aren’t offering benefits”, should be paid better. Sometimes I’ll drive for 4 hours and only make $100... after deducting gas, that’s literally like $60-70 if you are lucky. Most nights not even that much after like 5-6 hours—it’s not worth it. Then, sometimes they take you all across the city, and people don’t tip. I’ll drive like 8 miles for a $14 order, and that doesn’t include the fact that the restaurants are NEVER ready with the order, so you have to wait. Then, traffic is ridiculous, so you basically spend like 30-40 minutes for one order during the day— which most people have figure out that it’s better to drive at night, but those shift are always taken. Driving without a block is useless because you mostly get the BS orders that no one wants and you don’t get steady orders. Overall, I stopped driving for grubhub. THE WORST delivery service as a driverIf I could give them 0 stars I would, but unfortunately it’s not an option. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time and gas delivering for Grubhub. They have 0 regard for their drivers as long as their orders are fulfilled that’s all they care about. At least once a day I waste my time and gas driving to pick an order up that THEY assigned me, only to find out they assigned it to MULTIPLE drivers. So, not only do you lose the money for the order, but they compensate you a DOLLAR for all the time and gas wasted, not to mention you have to call customer service, wait for them to confirm with the merchant, then wait longer until they cancel it before you can even get the opportunity to receive more orders. Good luckBeen using this app for quite a long time now. In the beginning it was great (2019) but I stopped for about a year and picked it back up again in 2022 and when I did it was beyond horrible. I schedule myself to work throughout the week and have ALWAYS committed to following through as well as accepting EVERY order I receive so I can be assured the contribution if I don’t make a minimum amount on an order (EVEN WHEN THE DELIVERY IS WAY OUTSIDE OF MY ASSIGNED AREA) and I kid you not every single time I do I end up on the phone with support because something has gone wrong, not being able to mark arrived at restaurants, people’s houses, being randomly kicked off the app in the middle of deliveries etc and when I’m lucky enough to finally get ahold of someone to talk to them about it and have it corrected i always get the run around “oh this won’t affect your stats” and while I’m on the phone with them it my stats are affected. I had to create my account three times…I’m not even a driver yet and I’m already having app problems. When I registered the first time for no apparent reason my account was block in the middle of the registering process. Since I couldn’t use the same email to register and I couldn’t login neither (because the app states that the email was registered already) I decided to use another email. I went through the whole registering process, to the point that I received my background clearance document, my W-9 and my delivery partner agreement through the second email address I used. Everything was going fine, until I had to login again and my account was blocked. I tried to contact the driver service and this is what they replied “ Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry but we were not able to find any driver account with this email address”. I sent them my phone number and the second email I used to create the account and they replied with the same answer. I even sent them attachments of all the documents they sent me via the same email I provided and their answer was “ Thanks for reaching out to us! Please contact Driver Care through the Driver App so we can better assist”. In order for me to contact them through the app I had to create a third account (which they rejected) and they replied with a generate answer.
Now my fear is that I provided all my personal information, including my bank account for the direct deposit, and I don’t even know where all that information went.
Their driver assistant is awful. Now I don’t know what to do.

Unfair Acceptance Rate ScoresI read a review talking about having missed offers and in the meantime they happen while I’m standing in a restaurant waiting for an order with my phone in my hand. Not on any other apps or anything. I see later that I missed an offer for the same restaurant I was standing in with my phone on as it was when I got the order I was picking up. If you email driver specialist you usually get an automated response telling us to do the same exact things to troubleshoot that I already do twice before even reaching out to anybody. We never get help with the issues we just get a bunch of suggestions. Since this last update I can no longer see my heat map and find the hotspots without having to call driver care every single time and wait on hold sometimes up to 10 minutes. My acceptance rate has been affected because of this regardless of the hours and the amount of time I’m out here delivering successful orders...it doesn’t seem to help. It would be more helpful if the drivers had driver specialist to speak to on the phone as each driver has an individual issue. Grubhub is doing very very well and I don’t see how they cannot afford to have driver care be educated enough to assist us better out here on the road. I too am very grateful for the opportunity to earn money and pay rent and feed my family. But I am being penalized constantly for things that are completely out of my hands and I even called for help and get no response. Distance tips new ordersNew orders pop up when in the middle of driving the first order you are trying to deliver dangerous as I’m making a left turn trying to finish the first order I’m dinged with another order I have to view physically by touching the screen while driving smh very dangerous for us drivers. Fix this please. Allow us to receive these when the car is stopped and not driving. Most of the day depending on the areas you will be hit with a 3 dollar order for 8 miles away which I will decline anything under 1.50 a mile. Lots of times the app wants you to drive 12 miles back to a fast food restaurant for a order when you left that area 7 mins ago to try another area. Glitchy app, apathetic supportI guess I tried to sign up using the same email address for two separate accounts at different points in time? I try to create a new account, but the app was not allowing me to complete my profile with my email address. I reached out to tech support asking them to just delete the other account or something so I could move forward. Mind you, I have never completed a job for GrubHub, these are just duplicate accounts with no history. It is not like I am asking them to remove an account that has any reputation at all - good or bad.
Well, they didn’t do that or anything else helpful. They just informed me that the driver queue for my local area was full. A few weeks later, the driver queue opens up and the app is asking me to reconfirm my desire to become a GrubHub driver. I cannot access my account to confirm anything because tech support didn’t want to do what they were asked to do. Thanks for nothing! Overzealously unassigning ordersThey make it unnecessarily difficult to take orders I’ve accepted. If you don’t start moving towards the restaurant almost immediately, they’ll remove the order. Worse, they’ll threaten to deactivate your account if it happens too many times. I can’t simply wait at home for orders, because by the time I get out to my car (I live in an apartment complex and it takes a couple of minutes to walk out to my car), they’ve usually already unassigned the order. Sometimes it even happens as I’m already in my car, making my way through the parking lot to head towards the restaurant. You actually have to be on the road towards the restaurant at full speed within a few minutes of accepting the order, otherwise it gets removed.
And usually when I do arrive at a restaurant, the order isn’t even ready to be picked up yet. There’s no reason for them to be nearly this strict. It is not getting the customer their food any sooner in most cases, plus they now have to find someone else to accept the order after unassigning it from me, which probably takes even longer than it would have taken me to get there..PhoenacsVersion: 4.52

Every little thing that comes out in this app just like the other gig work apps, never seems to work for the driver but to hurt them in some sort of way! I mean talk about taking advantage of drivers. Doing this will only hurt your business in the long run. You have done it for years and it hurt your business. But somehow you still don’t seem to understand the fact your entire business model is built around decent drivers. And you are making their lives harder with every little thing you change and update in this app. I mean even the fact that when you didn’t have enough drivers, you increased the pay to 15$ per order. App doesn’t workTried downloading it again to newest version as it was mentioned on old app..it wouldn’t let me, it kept asking for password , continue then it went to the billing address and kept repeating the same thing without letting me get passed it to the app itself. So I deleted the old app to reinstall and it too down the same thing... couldn’t get back on it. You’re on your ownThe app itself works pretty good, however there are glitches that really hurt your driver statistics and hurt your chances to make more money. I am a current driver considering quitting because of these glitches. As a driver you should strive to accept all orders sent to you and add scheduled blocks and attend those blocks. Even after doing that an order gets sent to you and you “miss” it because, as the driver care team says, “your service gets interrupted. If you reject or miss an order, that hurts your acceptance rate, which ultimately causes the orders that all other drivers reject to come to you and you become forced to accept if you want to make money. When you call driver care to say that you never missed or rejected an order they say that the system is automated and that there is nothing they can do. I honestly recommend trying DoorDash or Uber Eats, and only if those are not hiring to try GrubHub. Driver care only helps with simple issues that you will learn to fix on your own without calling them, but when the app plays with your money and statistics that you try so hard to better, they cannot help you..SfktfhVersion: 4.46
Used to be greatGrubhub used to be a great platform for gig work, they’ve never been as busy in my area as Ubereats or Doordash but GH almost seemed like they cared about its drivers more than the other platforms. Orders used to pay really well, but earlier in the year/late last year they changed the pay model and rarely are orders worth taking anymore. Gh is fine to run in the background while doing other apps, not useful as a main gig anymore. That being said, the app NEEDS to have an easier way to decline orders. The multi step decline is dangerous for workers who spend most of their time behind the wheel, and since the pay dropped I’m declining more orders than before. The app gets angry if you let the orders expire and marks you unavailable after 3 missed offers but I can’t reach over and hit 3-4 tiny buttons to decline $5, 15 mile orders. Uber has one button decline, GH has no reason not to have the same thing.
Also, the somewhat recent redesign would be extremely confusing for a new driver. As an existing driver it was OK to get used to, but it feels like the app requires more button presses overall in the process of completing an order..TUCKEVersion: 4.40

DissatisfiedIt is very difficult to work with Grubhub. Especially with the scheduling issue. I already sent several emails talking about it. Every time you open the schedule to schedule the week, it is always, but always, unavailable. That is, I can never practically mark my schedule. To be honest with you 1 or 2 times a week for 2:30 only. They always say the same thing, and they even said it. “you don't need a schedule to work”. Darling, I'd rather not go. Drive for someone else!!!!This is one of the worst driving service available. Just don’t even botherApp used to be great, you could make a decent living, the last year or so it’s been straight down hill. The driver support are 100% useless they can’t seem to ever be able to help and just escalate to get a auto reply. Suspended my account over their errorI worked in the Waynesville NC region for about a year, when the day after Christmas I had to report several restaurants as closed, as they had closed for the holiday weekend. I went through the correct protocol in reporting the restaurants as closed (Grubhub requires you take a photo of the “closed” sign on the door). The following Monday I received a computer generated email from Grubhub stating my account was suspended due to a “large volume” of refunded orders. They gave not a single detail, yet accused me of “negligence and unprofessional behavior,” which is a laugh since I was the only Premier driver in the region. I was locked out of my account and all my blocks were taken away. Four hours later I received another email stating they had made an error (they realized the restaurants I reported as closed were indeed closed) and that my account was reactivated. However, they released all my blocks to other drivers in the region, and I was only able to recover a few. I decided to quit Grubhub and reactivated my account with another delivery company who actually has their act together. So basically I was punished for their mistake and their negligence, while being initially accused of the same. What a joke..The KnifeVersion: 4.10
Unreliable and unprofessionalAs a driver you put wear and tear on your vehicle along with gas prices gone up to an all time high and these gig apps give you a few dollars for lots of miles to drive, so you may drive 10 miles for 4.56$ or 7$ for 13 miles. So with gas and car maintenance it’s not worth it at all. You are making less than minimum wage and for someone like me who had a major brain surgery and still recovering and needing an income I feel the full force of these companies taking advantage of drivers. Bad enough you can never talk to anyone who actually cares about whatever in app issues you may face while on delivery or while trying to cash out as well. Expect to talk to people over in India as this is another gig app that’s outsourcing in order to cut cost and gain profits for big time CEO’s. They use us like slaves then pay us enough to keep driving for them. I am done and going to go back to real jobs even in my condition I would rather work 8 hour shifts and at least know that I’m going to get paid and not drive my car until it falls apart. They will accuse you of fraud for customers false reporting order not delivered for free foodI worked part time for Grubhub doing just a couple of deliveries a month just to keep my status active. But I just got an email from them saying that my account had been suspended because of fraud (with no evidence). This could well be from my last delivery few days ago. A customer had to wait too long for his food because the other drivers were not picking up the food because he apparently tipped just $1.75 (which I only saw after I picked up the order) for food worth well over $50 and for driving at least 15 minutes to deliver. As soon as i picked up the food I got a text message from him complaining how long he had to wait ( which is not my fault but I picked up the order as soon as it was sent to me). I delivered the order and the customer took the food in and reported the order was not delivered just to get the refund and the free food. I make a good living with good income from other sources and I wouldn’t steal food even though I go hungry. To be accused of fraud for working faithfully is the slap in the face.
