Jump Desktop (RDP, VNC, Fluid) App Comments & Reviews

Jump Desktop (RDP, VNC, Fluid) Positive Reviews

Excellent app, reasonably priced and not on a subscription model!I was using RealVNC which worked fine for one VNC host but not another, which switching to Jump Desktop solved those problems. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for software that does the job, which this app does far and beyond that. Thank you so much for not offering a subscription model like another VNC app that wants $119USD for a "lifetime" license. I highly recommend this app for its usefulness, quality and for the developer offering it at a reasonable price. This is petty but the inclusion of various Linux distros icons [to assign to various sessions] is a nice touch. As for the posts about local security there's an option to require touch or Face ID to view an open session. If you use your device outside of a secure area (like in an office) then you should enable this. Credit to the developer for adding this important feature. Highly, highly recommended..Version: 9.8.0

Great app!Now I CAN leave my laptop behind! There is no hyperbole in this comment. I set up a VPN on my home network and complement it with Jump. I have installed it on my iPhone, iPad, Mac Mini, and MacBook Pro. I use it to connect to my desktop (Mac Mini) when I am away from home. I also use it from anywhere when I connect to my Ubuntu file, and network servers, and any one of my Ubuntu Virtual Box VMs. It is a proven winner for me using RDP, and VNC protocols. Since I have access to my home desktop, I can do my remote software development work without having to be stuck at home. The only downside is that I occasionally lose connections. This may be due to weak WiFi or when my OS goes to sleep, I don’t know. But it is super easy to re-establish the connection manually. I think I spent $10 in the App Store and is totally worth it. I compared with several RDP apps which are either free or for a fee (including the remote desktop from the software giant) before I committed to Jump. Jump is definitely the better value on all platforms..Version: 8.3.14

This is the one you’re looking forAfter getting my iPad I was disheartened to learn that sidecar wasn’t as fully featured as I hoped. While the picture was fantastic, it didn’t support an external mouse or the trackpad on the magic keyboard. So I started searching for remote desktop applications that would fit the bill of allowing me to access my desktop across the house with minimal effort. To my horror, I realized that almost none of them provided an easy way to resize my screen to fit the iPad resolution, further, when connected to an external monitor, they maintained the iPad 4:3 aspect ratio, which made for an unpleasant experience. Much to my surprise, this app not only automatically resizes the screen to the iPad resolution (when using their protocol and app), but it ALSO changes the video out resolution to fit whatever monitor you hook it up to. Absolutely incredible work! Well worth the money..Version: 9.5.11

Literally The Best Remote Desktop/Connection Out There By FARBeen using Jump now for a few years and ever since the very first day I’ve loved it and never regretted purchasing for my iPhone. I’ve tried so many other different apps and software and jump is literally endless miles ahead of so very many others. I even use it when I want to connect with my shadow cloud desktop from my iPhone instead of using the shadow application alone simply being that it lacks a plethora of user friendly features and versatility that jump does, like flawless two finger zooming and scrolling, mouse pointer and touch location and accuracy and so many more. Cannot recommended Jump Desktop any higher, they have by far exceeded my expectations for years now and continue to do so flawlessly. Cheers!.Version: 9.6.8

Almost perfectI’m a pro photographer and a touchscreen really speeds up my workflow, but my apps are horrible on the iPad, so I have to use a Mac. The combo of this software, an iPad Pro, and a strong Mac is incredible. Jump Desktop is the only remote app I’ve come across that keeps up with graphic intensive apps. I can edit wedding photos over my mobile phone’s hotspot (with only 2 bars of reception) and the power of my MacBook Pro, the full-version of the photo editing apps, on my iPad Pro from anywhere I am! This changed everything for me and my workflow. I’ve been using another suite for years and Jump is way faster. Just grateful I finally tried this one. ONE downside… I’m not sure why pen pressure sensitivity belongs in an Enterprise Teams subscription for this app. Why not just charge extra for pen sensitivity? Even if a little expensive. I have to be in an enterprise, on a team for pen sensitivity? It doesn’t make sense. But it is what it is..Version: 9.8.0

Back to being useful 😃I had been using this for probably years when suddenly a problem with the URL launches setting window sizes stopped working and all windows were sized to the iPhone screen resolution. I had reported the problem which took a long time to get fixed but it's finally fixed and I can once again go back to using Jump Desktop as my preferred RDP client. I was so sick of using another client that didn't function the way I wanted but it honored all URL variables and sized appropriately so I reluctantly used it until this was fixed. I'm very happy that Jump Desktop is now fixed! I access hundreds of servers with a separate client that manages credentials but connects via URL launching and changing the means to which I manage those connections and credentials just wasn't an option. Thank you guys for fixing the problem! 👍.Version: 8.0.1

IncredibleI had given up on anything you can buy and not pay subscription monthly. I ended up getting this for 50% off which was a steal. I haven’t been using it long but so far it works great! It's fast, fluid is a great description because it is just that. I have not even used all of the features, there are many. It works on all platforms and across platforms. I ❤️ this app! It’s not often you come across a perfect app, this one is perfect. The devs already pushed out an update and I’ve not owned it a week. Great job Devs! I’ll be keeping my eyes open for any other apps you might release. This is the best app of its kind, truly it is. I haven’t even used it with my Magic Mouse or iPad yet! Oh and did I mention it does sound as well! But it, it’s work 3 times they priced it at, much more than what I paid..Version: 9.4.19

Finally an RDP app that supports Mac and Windows!!I bought this app 5plus years ago and it only supported Windows. It’s by far is the fastest app to connect to remotely even better/faster than Microsoft’s built in client. Now I for something to connect my Mac remotely and I ended up circling back to this app. The RDP sessions with Mac is really some and has hardly any lag time. Another thing I noticed was the ability to switch between multiple desktops on my Mac which was awesome because even the Apple Remote Desktop can’t change multiple desktops so I am super excited about that function being incorporated into this app. The developer really didn’t an awesome job by add the Mac to the equation and that feature alone. This is definitely my All-in-One app for remote access to all the Windows and Mac systems..Version: 8.2.4

IPad Pro User ReviewWith the recent upgrade of 13.4 to iPadOS, I thought I’d try to see if I could turn this iPad Pro into the ultimate thin-client. So far, it works, with some caveats. Be prepared to deal with these issues if you think the Jump app is one-and-done for your thin client needs: 1. The iPad Pro 12.9’s resolution is 2732x2048. This will not work with many would-be server devices that do not support this weird resolution. Jump has no solution for you. You will either have to accept 1920x1200 as the default, or you’ll have to add a custom resolution under Win8.1+ graphic’s manager. This is a giant PIA. 2. If you manage to get 2732x2048 resolution to work, it will be laggy. Scrolling is a nuisance as the screen jerks around constantly. I’m on a 5g home network with the “server” on a wired gigabit line and it’s still suboptimal. RDC connections through the Windows RDC app are smoother. 3. While Jump supports generic mice, it lacks adjustments. There’s no scroll speed adjustment. My Magic Mouse 2 scrolls way too fast, which in combo with the lag, makes for a poor user experience. 4. You can’t change the size of the arrow pointer or the inline “I” text insertion pointer. As they are, they’re way too big for the iPad Pro’s native resolution during a Win10 session. It’s like driving a nail with a sledgehammer. While it is usable after considerable setup effort, it is not a magic bullet solution by any means. Hopefully, Jump will take my money and make this app better. It has potential, but it’s just not there yet..Version: 9.4.16

BEST rdp / vnc app PERIOD , I’ve used all tooJump is the best RDP and VNC app of any iOS app you will find. I’ve been using both VNC and RDP extensively on iOS for over eight years, I have tried or used just about every VNC And RDP app on the App Store. (Jump is the best at both protocols) Prior to buying jump, I had to use 4 x different apps due to server/app compatibility issues-(2x VNC iOS apps, and 2x RDP iOS apps). Buying jump was one of the best app purchases I’ve ever made, it does NOT have any compatibility issues with any of my 50+ VNC/RDP servers o use daily - thus jump has allowed me to replace 4x apps with 1. + jump does everything better than each of the 4x prior apps. Luckily, the iOS 11 update forced me to find a replacement for 1 of my 4 prior apps, I say luckily as this is what led me to Jump and I have been very happy using it for the past month and a half. (I got rid of all other apps after copying my various server setting out of them) Twice I’ve had to reach out to the developer for app settings questions ( settings that I had overlooked as they were already in Jumps settings menus) , the devs were super fast reply and super helpful. Stop looking and buy this app. Another nice feature is jump allows you to export your server list via your own email (this you can manage the security of that list , yourself, during an export need). Or you can use their optional signIN functionality to keep a encrypted backup / export on their servers (if you wish , this part is NOT mandatory , of course) My only motivation in writing this glowing review is how great jump has been for my uses / use case. Even when emailing with the app developers they never once pressured me nor even ask me to leave a review..Version: 7.4.3

I Really like this RDP app but……it is hands down in my opinion the best RDP application I have found for Mac or iPadOS. Great control and especially on the Mac the auto resolution changes if the screen / window size changes. The one REAL issue I have found likely would not be hard to fix. But, will they? Will they even see the review to know there is an issue? But, when running directly on the iPad screen the application will correctly keep the device from sleeping. But, if one is using the RDP session on an external monitor it will NOT keep the iPad from sleeping. :(. It recovers mostly gracefully when I wake the iPad but still a sad issue. However, I say mostly because about 1 in 3 times the keyboard input is no longer captured and I have to kill the application completely and reconnect to fix that..Version: 9.8.0

Transforms my iPad ProAfter the M4 Mac Mini came out, I was intrigued about whether I could use a remote desktop app on my iPad to open up a new world of possibilities with more advanced computing tasks. Indeed, I could… after I did some searching, the consensus answer was always the same: use Jump Desktop. Setup was easy and over time, I’ve added various utilities to my Mac that now mean my iPad is an iPad, but also a Mac, while also an iPad. I hope they keep developing the software, since it is remarkable and I could not recommend more. On the wish list, would be adding microphone and game controller support to the iPad. But those nice-to-haves aside, this is a fabulous app and has transformed my iPad and productivity..Version: 9.8.0

Please please please add sound! This is one of the coolest apps I’ve seen in a looooong time! However the fact that I can’t stream any sound from my Mac makes it very limited. With the mouse support coming in iOS 13 and with sound added, this is is definitely the best setup where I can just use my iPhone or iPad as a remote computer. The latency was very good! I was shocked at how well it worked with minimal lag. I could honestly barely see any lag between the real computer when I moved my mouse and when the app screen mouse moved. The only negative is the lack of sound that it doesn’t support yet. Please add this and you have yourself a winner! Also, I am not sure if there is a way to lock my computer when I am out and about so I can log into the app but not have my activity being viewed on my computer screen when I am gone. I didn’t know if this is possible..Version: 8.3.14

This one deserves the 1st place among the RDP apps.I fell in love with this app right after using it less than ten minutes. I found every issues that I had when I was using RD Client that drove me crazy have been solved. People say RD Client became great especially after having its recent major update (version 10). And it seems they consider it solid just because MS made it. But, for me, great is not enough and MS is not almighty. In my case, the alphabet and number keys were not be able to put to the X11 apps in WSL2. Also, Ctrl + Space combination which performs the language switch in iPadOS was also hooked even in the RDP sessions, which made me depressed since that key combination was meant to do a crucial role in my dev app..Version: 9.6.8

Could use an on screen controllerThe app is great, but there’s definitely one feature missing from it that would make it a lot better - onscreen gamepad for games (maybe configurable). Right now there’s no way to do anything like this - you can map the keys on the numeric keyboard, but there aren’t enough keys to meaningfully do anything with, and the full iOS keyboard doesn’t seem to register as instant input (from what I can tell). Not a huge huge issue, but I think it would making remote gaming a lot easier, as right now the only real option is an external controller or finding some sort of on screen accessibility keyboard for the desktop. Even a custom keyboard option that lets you choose your own keys would be an acceptable workaround.Version: 9.8.0

Shockingly GoodI can’t remember the last time I felt compelled to leave an app review, but this is genuinely an incredible tool. The controls are intuitive, it’s shockingly reliable and consistent, it seems to be very well-thought out and feels like something that’s made by people who actually use it for themselves. Set up was literally buttery smooth too, took almost no effort, and I was up and running within minutes of purchasing the app. Also, love that it hasn’t popped up and prompted me to leave a review lol. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Will certainly be recommending this to anyone who has a use-case for this. Very affordable price too. Excellent all around!!!.Version: 9.8.0

JumpAs a software engineer I am always sensitive to the quality of software that I use that has been written by others. Jump impresses me as being one of the best-designed and best-functioning software products that I have begun using in many years. The design of its ability to create on my local device an interface to my desktop on a remote host is well thought out and excellently rendered. I have used it several times a week for many years to extend my connect time with my software development projects on remote hosts no matter where I am, be it in a restaurant, a customer waiting room, or anywhere, and it has always worked flawlessly. An easy five stars..Version: 7.4.6

Best one out thereI’ve used almost every remote desktop tool for iOS out there and this one is the best, no contest. Multiple ways to connect to hosts, plenty of control customization, not enough latency to matter, audio streaming to the connected device, resizes resolution to match connected device (my favorite feature), saves multiple connections, easy setup, automatic reconnect when multitasking, gesture navigation, and best of all you can get it all for a ONE TIME FEE and as of the time of writing this review that fee is cut in half. Get it while you can, but even if you don’t spring on the half off, it’s still worth the full price and I would pay it again in a heartbeat..Version: 9.2.6

Awesome, but 2 things to improve…This is without a doubt the best Mac Remote Desktop tool I have ever used. However I have two suggestions to make it even better: 1) Have the option so that when we login remotely to a Mac that the Dock will always show. I usually have it hidden, but when working remotely is kind of hard to access it. And 2) we need a simple way to view the shortcuts available without having to google or crawl through the documentation. For example, it took me many minutes to figure out that Option+Tab does the same on my remote machine as a local Cmd+Tab, and similarly to switch desktops inside the remote machine. Do these things as this is a solid 5+ star app..Version: 9.8.0

IPad Pro + Magic Keyboard + Jump DesktopThe iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard + Jump Desktop is the holy grail. The iPad can do a lot of things, but sometimes there’s something I can only do well on my MacBook, such as programming. Now I can confidently leave my MacBook connected at home and just take my iPad Pro with me and not feel limited. The Magic Keyboard’s trackpad works like a native mouse! Although iPad swipe gestures take precedence over native swipe gestures, they have on-screen buttons for exposé, desktop switching, etc. One major downside preventing a 5-star rating is connecting to your mac via jump desktop will expose your mac’s screen to anyone who is in the same room as your mac. There is no indicator in-app that your mac’s screen is being exposed to the world. Using the Mac’s user account switcher there is a way to make the Mac go to the lock screen while keeping jump desktop connected via the iPad, but you have to remember to do this every time you connect. When you switch the Mac to the lock screen there is no indicator on the iPad that the Mac’s screen is locked while you’re using the Mac remotely — you just have to know it is..Version: 9.4.26

Jump Desktop is AmazingJump Desktop has been the most effective solution I've found for streaming my desktop PC to my iPad Pro. It should be noted that it is not intended, nor very effective, for game streaming and that anyone looking to stream games to their device should look into Moonlight, Parsec, or any other number of solutions intended for that purpose. That said, general desktop computing is wonderfully smooth and many features are well implemented. Using my Apple Pencil for image editing inside of GIMP was a breeze, as well as working on my coding projects. I've tried other apps, such as Screens, and they just don't compare..Version: 9.7.8

Keyboard scan codesSends keyboard scan codes instead of unicode over RDP, which means you can interact with VMs running on your remote host and other applications that expect scan codes. Not even Microsoft’s Remote Desktop client for iPad supports scan codes even though this has been reported as an issue for years (but the desktop client does, go figure). Combined with the iPad mouse support, we finally have a completely functional RDP solution, and the iPad can function as a fully featured thin client. The VNC support is a nice bonus, and works well with MacOS hosts. My only complaint is that the app needs some polish, but it works.Version: 9.6.8

Great image quality and plenty of settingsUsing RDP mode on a local network gives a sharp image with low latency. Using "Windows multi-touch mode" makes my desktop feel like a native AVP app as far as gestures go. Connecting to a remote PC over the internet was easy, but the image quality is lower. Also, the windows multi-touch mode isn't available. Using "Direct touch" mode is 90% of the experience, only the scroll gesture doesn't work. It integrates really well with the a BLE keyboard and the magic trackpad. Everything works as expected here. You can use touches on the trackpad in lieu of pinching, which feels pretty good for desktop work. There are a lot of input modes, so you can pick what you prefer. Also you can change the resolution without having to reconnect, which isn't always the case with remote access software. It also has an option to spawn multiple windows for connections to multiple computers. Unfortunately my keyboard seems to jump randomly between windows no matter what I do. Hopefully this can be fixed..Version: 9.8.0

Must have for any IT proI like to go places and work remotely on my servers at home. With Microsoft’s Remote Desktop client support for the Smart Keyboard was pretty dismal and limited what i could do. Right as i was considering breaking down and buying a laptop that I wouldn’t have much of a use for i found this amazing app. I can now seamlessly work with Remote Desktop as if i was on a laptop. I can now remotely control my kvm setup that required xming and an ssh client to tunnel virt-manager and work on my servers that way. Working with this app feels like it may take some getting used to compared to Microsoft’s version but it gets the job done better overall.Version: 7.4.6

Look no further...This is the BEST app to access your Mac from an iOS device. I’ve tried many apps, and this is the best one. Very easy to set up, and a stable connection. The last app I tried was Screens, and this is much better. For one, you can hear your remote computer’s audio in your iPad (which you can’t do on Screens), and Jump has a full screen, unlike Screens, where to take advantage of your iPad screen, you have to enter into Zoom mode, which can be cumbersome to move apps around afterward. In conclusion, this is the one to buy if you’re looking to access your computer remotely. Period..Version: 9.5.11

Has almost everything! This is our go-to application for remotely controlling a mac from iPad Pros. Only two issues: (1) It does NOT have “full support” for the Apple Pencil as stated in the app description. The Apple Pencil does indeed work well, which we’ll call “basic support.” But it does not support pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, or double taps from Apple Pencil Pro. (2) Roughly half the time, reconnecting to a Mac will resize the screen display so that black bands are visible on the top and bottom of the screen. This can be fixed by going into display settings once you’re connected, and turning off and on “Match iPad Display.” So, there’s a work-around, but it’s getting old..Version: 9.8.0

Best Remote Desktop App!!!This app has been a very valuable tool for my work as a Clinical Application Analyst and I have completely depend on this to remote in to my desktop at work when I am on call and do not have to log in to our server and use VPN for this. I used to always have to bring my work laptop at home when I am on call. Now I leave it at work and use my iPad instead. One time I was called during my nephew's birthday party which was in our city zoo! All I have is my IPhone and all I need is quick access to an app in my desktop and I was able to use my freaking phone to do what I needed to do. That is so awesome! I love you Jump desktop! I even used jump desktop during a presentation because I used my iPad. My CQO saw me using my iPad and ask how she can do that as well as so she can use her iPad Pro. I told her about Jump desktop and now she's using this too and loving it!!! You rock Jump desktop! Do you work overseas?.Version: 7.3.5

Hooray for remote keyboard shortcuts!I took a chance on this because the official MS Remote Desktop client doesn't support keyboard shortcuts (at least not with my Gen 1 iPad Pro 9.7" smart keyboard) on the remote PC. To copy, I'd have to tap an on-screen "control" key, then the "C" key on the physical keyboard. Drove me nuts, and made it harder to get work done on my iPad. Jump Desktop to the rescue! Looking forward to trying out VNC support for my Mac and considering buying one of the supported mice, but seriously just being able to fully use a keyboard on the remote machine again was worth the price. Thanks!.Version: 8.2.4

Two things I don’t likeDownloaded this yesterday and would have given it five stars right off the bat except for two issues the first I can live with the second sort of makes the product useless. 1) It changed the size of my screen display on my computer monitor. I guess is so that this would fit the format of my iPad Pro. I can live with this. 2) today i tried to log in and since my computer was in sleep mode it could not access it. So if I want to save energy and not run my computer all the time and have it set for sleep mode this is not going to work. So is the work around to leave you computer running 24/7?.Version: 9.4.26

Amazing RDP AppOk I had to come back to write a review. I was using the Microsoft version because I just bought this iPad. It was just ok and lacking a lot especially with the mouse functions. Suddenly remembered I had bought this like over twelve years ago for an old iPad I had. I was willing to pay the 14 one time fee so hit the button… and they totally honored my purchase from all those years ago and didn’t charge me again. How awesome is that of them. So happy to have an iPad and THIS APP back again!!!!.Version: 9.8.0

OMG!!!As a retired software development manager, I find Apple apps are typically semi-vaporware that are NOT even worth free. I’ve been burned many times by apps written by amateurs who have either no Quality Control or piss-poor QA. So when I looked at the cost of Jump Desktop and all its extraordinary features and the cost, I thought, I’m going to get burned big-time, but I will give it a try anyway because it’s exactly what I need — IF it worked! Well Surprise, Surprise! I bought an excellent, well-written and designed app for pennies. The app is well worth more than $15!.Version: 7.4.4

The Holy Grail of career savers!Jump Desktop is absolutely the best remote control app I’ve used. I can edit in realtime Final Cut Pro on my desktop using the IPad. This is the one you been looking for. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Six years ago, with this app, I retrieved a file from my computer. At the time I was in a different part of the country. It literally saved the day, and a bonus came my way for the data. If you need access to your desktop just like you were sitting in front of it this is the one..Version: 9.8.0

Amazing app and desktop clientI rarely write reviews, but I’ve always struggled with using my Mac remotely from my iPhone, but finally I discovered Jump desktop on the Mac and bought the app worth every penny and signed in with Apple on both devices, dialed in some settings to my liking and it all just worked! Oh and I can’t believe how smooth it works, previously using remote pc, what a sluggish pos that was now that I can see how truly smooth it can be, I’m so happy and blown away!.Version: 9.8.0

Better than ScreensI am using this app to connect to a Raspberry Pi 4 running the Astroberry distribution of Raspbian Buster via the Pi’s built in WiFi hotspot. It works great. I was using VNC viewer first but found its control scheme wanting, so I tried Screens but Screens suffered from terrible visual lag (it took multiple seconds to refresh the screen at times, which I found utterly bizarre). I really wanted keyboard and mouse control so I tried Jump and I’m happy to say that Jump has none of those problems and let’s me use a physical keyboard and mouse, which is awesome..Version: 9.4.26

Full keyboard and mouse support with iPad Pro & better than Microsoft’s RD Client!I paid for this hoping it would provide full keyboard and mouse support (when they are connected to your iPad of course) in a remote session and it absolutely delivers! It’s also very fast, fills the iPad Pro screen, and allowed me to import .RDP files for a fast setup. Yes, this is better than the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client, if for no reason than the keyboard/mouse support. In the Microsoft RD Client, the keyboard is gimped and the mouse doesn’t behave exactly the way you want it to. This was worth every penny!.Version: 9.3.0

One of my most recommended appsWhen I think of teams that have put in the work you guys are one of the first ones that come up. I jumped all in with iOS and i am a IT manager by trade. Your app is the best remote application out there period. I am blown away by all the updates you guys do and how well you think out things. Your implementation of how a mouse works is still nicer the iOS 13 implementation. I will continue to be a fanboy and shout from the roof tops loving that fluid now supports audio well done again team well done..Version: 9.1.2

The app that gives the user what Apple won’t!This is the app justify the claim of iPad for business! Not only does it provide the true 3-button mouse function for all PC users, but also the true experience of remote desktop with full external screen instead of content mirroring with 2 black bars. Forgot to mention one more great feature, which you can multitask Jump Desktop with any app on your iPad with FULL screen of your PC on the external monitor!.Version: 9.6.8

Great app - except no file transferI’ve been using this app for a couple years now to control my Windows machines from iOS and other Windows machines. Works great for remote control - except the clipboard is very limited. You can copy/paste text between host and remote. But that’s all. No copy/paste of images. And (very frustrating) NO COPY/PASTE OF FILES!!! In fact, there really is no way to do any sort of a file transfer between host and remote machines. Your only options are the same games you’ve always had to play when transferring files between any two machines (e.g. “email to yourself”, “install an FTP server”, “use a thumb drive”, etc, etc) This app brings NOTHING to the table to aid in file transfers. So to sum up - great for remote control. But you’re on your own if you have an image or other file you need to transfer between machines. Too bad. I would have given it 5 stars if it allowed file transfers..Version: 9.6.8

Easy winI use this app to connect to a Pc running XP. Compared to the Microsoft app this is way better. Hardly any lag for me any on slow WiFi. The amount of options to interact with the remote computer from a touch screen is incredible. Plus slide over and split screen both work perfectly. I couldn’t be happier, well worth the price. The functionality of this app is perfect for me. The only things i would like to see are totally cosmetic and both are only on the screen where to select what pc to connect to. 1) I’d like the ability to nickname computers. For example name a computer work or personal 2) The ability to use a jpeg image or picture as the icon for the remote computer. For example using my company logo to identify my work computer. These are nitpicks for sure and dont take away the fact that this app is amazing..Version: 8.3.14

Surprisingly Robust App!So, I ran out the office one day and I forgot to file a document electronically. When I got home, I didn’t feel like going back to the office, so I downloaded this app. To be honest, I thought I was getting fleeced for almost $15. However, the intuitive interface, comprehensive keyboard functions and instructional video made my task almost as easy as if I was at the office (but saved me a drive back to the office). I did what I needed to do reclined on my couch in comfy slippers. The app is worth every penny..Version: 7.4.6

Daily Productivity BoosterThis is my go-to Remote Desktop app and it’s become a critical part of my daily routine over the last several years. The app is well-maintained and very stable. I travel extensively, so Jump has truly allowed me be productive anywhere in the world. I do have one feature request: please make a Today View widget for iPadOS. I would love to be able to launch into a remote computer with one button push on my iPad home screen. Thanks for the great product!.Version: 9.4.16

Jump Desktop saved my life as a college studentI use Jump Desktop all the time now that I’m living at my university, and it has proven to be invaluable to my situation. I bought an iPad because I fell in love with the Apple Pencil and could not go back to the Windows tablet world, as I never found them to be something I could just pick up and start drawing. However... as a CS major, I needed access to tools that are just not accessible on the iOS platform, and Jump Desktop has absolutely bridged that gap for me! Remote computing with Jump Desktop feels very close to natively running Windows on my iPad (especially with a bluetooth mouse), and with the addition of audio streaming, I have found it to be the absolute best remote desktop application, and a total lifesaver! Can’t send enough of my appreciation, thank you so much!.Version: 9.1.2

Best RDP client for iOS by far!I’ve been using Jump for probably close to 10 years. Working in IT, I always have to stay connected wherever I am but it’s not always easy to drag a laptop around with me everywhere I go. With Jump, my iPhone becomes an extension of my desktops and laptops. I’ve been able to connect to a multitude of servers and PCs around the world on some horrific network connections and Jump hasn’t let me down yet!.Version: 9.6.7

MY SAVING GRACEI have sat on my office floor crying the past two nights because I could not for the life of me figure out how to Remote Desktop from my work PC to my home computer until someone told me about this app and now I am CRYING TEARS OF JOY. It was too easy I was almost skeptical at first because of how difficult windows is but I wish I would have known about this app a long time ago it would have saved me so much frustration and tears! THANK YOU JUMP!!!!!!!.Version: 9.6.8

One thing is missingJump is great and very fast. One thing I would love to see is a keyboard or button shortcut to change monitors when using 2 or more screens..Version: 9.8.0

This is perfect! After iTeleport got discontinued, I’ve tried several VNC apps and was always disappointed. The trackpad mode of moving the mouse always felt flimsy and cheaply made or non-existent, but not on Jump! On Jump it feels like a real trackpad just like iTeleport was, it’s like a drop-in iTeleport replacement! And it supports mouse too! The only VNC app I’ve found so far that actually works with a mouse! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a VNC app to remotely control their computers!* *This message is NOT sponsored by Phase Five Systems..Version: 9.5.11

Okay, but nothing specialI have to admit, there were quite a number of positive reviews about this app around the Web, so my expectations were set. They were not met, though. I just bought it today and after two hours of tinkering, these are my thoughts. 1) The most frustrating part of the experience is that the remote desktop never occupies the full screen on iPadOS; there’s always black borders somewhere, and combined with the panning, the experience is super janky. 2) The toolbar is missing most options that are apparently available when using MacOS as the client connecting to a remote, and the toolbar itself is very janky and just cumbersome. 3) If ever you use the lock cursor option you can literally never escape the remote desktop without completely swiping away the app on iPadOS; there’s simply no getting to the toolbar after you’re in, despite what documentation may state. 4) When connecting to a locked computer (like MacOS), good luck ever typing the password in with the onscreen keyboard; the keys typed in get cleared after a few seconds automatically, so the resulting password would be like the last four characters only. 5) The picture quality is not actually superb; it’s just alright. I was surprised because this is from two different local networks that I tested, and despite the “graphics mode” setting. How can there be that much latency on a local network? Without the diagnostics on this client I guess I’ll never know why (see point number two). 6) The iPadOS and iOS apps have not been updated in over a year (it’s currently May 2025), which strikes me as quite a red flag; have they abandoned support? It does not give me confidence. 7) After two hours of tinkering with settings, it feels like many of them do nothing, especially around screen resolution and mirroring, so forget having a useful experience with iPadOS connected to an external monitor and Jump fullscreen on it. 8) Scrolling is very choppy. 9) The overall experience is very non-Apple; in other words, the experience is unpolished and just has that uncanny feel you get when you use non-Apple products: sure, they’ll do what they say on the tin, but for those of us on Apple, we want the premium experience, not the experience that just gets you by. Overall, I’m thinking of getting a refund and looking for alternatives that are more seamless and more Apple-like. It’s mind-boggling that Apple doesn’t have a native app for this when they already do screen sharing built into their FaceTime and iMessage apps..Version: 9.8.0

Only SSH DSA and RSA keys supportedThis app only supports SSH DSA and RSA keys. Both of these are no longer supported by OpenSSH. Needs an update to use modern algorithms!.Version: 9.8.0

Incredible ValueThe best free option out there. The app costs money but you don’t pay a monthly fee for basic Remote Desktop capabilities.Version: 9.8.0

Évaluation de Jump DesktopTrès bon logiciel sur Mac iOS et Windows, comme un eco système même en extérieur comme en intérieur du réseau merci Jump..Version: 9.8.0

Love the keyboard shortcuts, only app that can do command tab and feel like im using a real mac osPlease add the ability for the iPadOS app to record audio when connected to macOS. The reason is that I want to use an AI recording app called Superwhisper to speed up my productivity, and it’s frustrating that I can’t simply speak into the iPad and have that audio recorded and sent. Keep up the great work. I’d also love more flexibility with command key options and native Android support too..Version: 9.8.0

Great for Remote Video ProductionI was looking for a way to Remote Desktop from my ipad to my windows machines that felt natural to use and let me use a Bluetooth mouse comfortably. I also needed something with great quality and minimal latency. This app is so good, I’m able to work in animation production software perfectly. I can also work in After Effects and do audio work. Maybe it works so well because I have a great internet connection and my desktop is powerful, but overall this has been a key tool in my workflow and I recommend it to everyone..Version: 9.8.0

Amazing RDPBest tool to remotely connect to desktop. Super fast and fluid. 10/10..Version: 9.8.0

I love this appIt’s truly an amazing app, but I truly wished there was a way to see the iPads battery capacity while connected, that would be cool! I often never know how much battery life I have left on my iPad while using it. Aside from that, amazing app.Version: 9.8.0

Um… wow! This is exactly what I wantedI have a newborn and am rocking him while he naps me a lot. Pretty impossible to use a laptop like that but I needed to check on a couple of projects on my Mac occasionally. So I figured my iPad would be a good solution. I was shocked to find out that Apple Remote Desktop which I’ve used in the past doesn’t work for iPads to Mac. I was frustrated and found this app mentioned on Reddit. And it’s perfect. I can remote into my laptop and my Mac mini server form my iPad to check some things. I even can use my iPhone in a pinch. I’m super impressed and the price is reasonable as well..Version: 9.8.0

Fluid Connection has BAD windows animationOn my iPad, I am using Fluid connection but opening and closing any tabs are crazy slow. Most likely “windows animation” feature is slowing down fluidity . I can disable this “WINDOWS ANIMATION” feature in RDP but there is no such option in Fluid connection. I have latest version of Jump Desktop IOS 9.14.19 Hope you guys FIX this issue or Provide option to Toggling this feature On Or Off in next version.Version: 9.4.19

Best app for remote controlling from ipadThis is the best app from the app store to control a computer from an ipad. The only thing missing is to be able to have linear scrolling when controlling a windows computer (and not acceleration scrolling, which is messy on windows).Version: 9.7.8

Amazing app! Well above my expectations! The app works sooooo much better than I thought! Fluid makes the connection sooo fast at 60 FPS even though its not perfect I would be happy if you keep improving it. butttt like every app, there’s a downside. There is no instructions on how to set it up on Linux..Version: 9.7.8

GreatI was using screen mirroring on my MacBook but wanted to switch to my iPad as a primary device and remotely log into my Mac. All the free software I tried just didn’t operate very well…controls were annoying. Took the leap and bought this software and no regrets. I love how it shows the full screen and with the Magic Keyboard it’s like using the ‘mouse’ locally on the machine. I do recommend cranking up the quality if you have the bandwidth. On the smaller 11” iPad makes it a lot easier to make out the details from the ‘larger’ screen I’m mirroring..Version: 9.7.8

They addressed the Windows 11 issues!Works perfectly for all my needs! Thank you for addressing the bugs i mentioned in my previous review! Keep up the good work!.Version: 9.6.8

Pretty goodDoes what it claims. Obviously there is a little bit of lag but that’s normal for rdp. Hope they keep improving it :).Version: 9.5.11

Amazong app for 3d artistI use maya primaraly and this is the app. Right click, middle click works!!! Even the alt key. This apps is great overall, there’s not even lags.Version: 9.5.9

Great App / Mouse Support iPadOSI love this application. It works great! BUT.... it doesn’t work with the new Assistive Touch mouse support in the just released iPadOS 13.1. I have been waiting for iPadOS to be released for this function alone. I want to use my normal Logitech M535 mouse which works perfectly on iPadOS with Jump Desktop. I try to connect the physical mouse in there app and it doesn’t find anything,. Please tell me you are bringing Assistive Touch mouse support to Jump Desktop. Thank you. Mike.Version: 8.3.14

Seriously usefulRDP mode essentially turns your ipad into a Surface tablet with all the touch gesture support. Constantly updated. Great piece of software..Version: 9.4.8

Paperspace VM on IPad Proband iPhoneWorks great as as IPad / iPhone Client for the PaperSpace Cloud running business applications. To set up on Paperspace, Just Add a public IP to your VM, get your machine Windows Server user/password using C:paperspace-password-tool then enter IP, user and password into the app and you are good to go. Works well in both Windows 10 Desktop and Tablet more. Tested it running QuickBooks desktop on the VM and it work surprisingly well iPad Pro version of the App..Version: 8.3.14

Top notch productLove it. The measure of really great remote software is that it does what you want it to, when you need it to. I remember in the past having remote software fail for all kinds of reasons (yes, often user error, but not always) but Jump has always been there. Have used it for as long as I can remember and the developers are continually improving it..Version: 8.3.14

Remarkable AppI absolutely love this app! I have just installed this on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Windows PC’s and am learning its true power!!! A++++.Version: 8.3.14

Great!Has everything i need, works great! Love it.Version: 4.0.7

Support resolution for iPhone XS MAX?The new fluid update with matching resolution is excellent. Helps when I move from my iPad to iPhone. But any plans to support the iPhone XS MAX screen resolution? Quite a bit of wasted space right now on the top and bottom....Version: 8.3.14

Wow. Just what I was looking for.Recently made the switch to a 12.9 2018 iPad Pro. Found this tool, paired it with a SwiftPoint GT and now have the best of both worlds. The tool works seamlessly and has been absolutely bullet proof. I can connect to my main Mac Mini and the Virtual Machine (Win 10) I run in parallels. I think my MacBook will now be relegated to my musical endeavours. Highly recommended. The price is spot on. Well done..Version: 8.1.5

All remote devs need thisI constantly switch work spaces. Whether I am at home, work, bus, or tech van, Jump Desktop has been a life saver. Easy install and easy to connect. It really can’t get any easier to connect..Version: 7.4.6

Pure Gold! For me this is easily the most valuable app in the entire store. Rock solid..Version: 7.4.5

Best Remote Desktop appI use an iPad Pro for most everything. There is really only 1 app I need an PC for anymore. This makes very usable and handy even remotely..Version: 7.4.2

The best of the best apps!!!!!!This is the best app I've ever purchased yet. I'ts worth every penny and it's not expensive at all for what it does. It works perfectly and very fast respond with Windows Vista Ultimate. No IP address needed. Thanks!!! for producing an excellent and very useful app. Keep-up the good work!!!.Version: 0

The only RDP Worth Downloading! The best RDP client app available on any platform. Don't bother getting anything else. I tried them all and this is the only one that made my project possible. Would be great to have 'log-off' feature as well as disconnect for domain level control but there are other ways around that. Great job...keep developing!.Version: 4.0.5
