I bought this app some time ago and I got the lifetime- but a week later the app has gone through some refresh or update and I lose all feature and I though I got rip- so I got their Facebook through the app and I made my obvious anger about the situation and didn’t use the app for like 2-3 month but they Finally respond and all I needed to do was press the restore purchase and bam! Got my lifetime back… so I feel stupid but also a little frustrated how long it took to get a respond but I’m glad I didn’t payed for a second lifetime and I can use the app againz

The app is general meets it intended usage, an app that can replace your physical remote for a temporary or long time. Which I find very helpful, the design of the app is supper easy to understand and get used to and the speed/ delay has dropped significantly which is very good! But there is an egregious amount of ads for their subscription, which is cheap but it gets very annoying when it just keeps asking me to subscribe. Also when you swipe out of the app for one second and go back on it pops up an ad which gets annoying if you accidentally swipe off and have to watch an ad when going back on. I’d suggest reducing the amount of the ads and subscription prompts it just makes me want to delete the app when they just keep popping up. I see the developer responds to a lot of people’s reviews so hopefully he sees mine, Thanks for listening! ^_^

I've only used it for about two minutes so far but it's working fine. I was very disappointed that I had to choose between paying $40 a year or getting a three day trial and then having to pay $10 a week. I might've misunderstood something but that's what it looked like. So they got my 40 bucks. If it works consistently I'll be satisfied with it. But clearly I can't know that at this time. Too bad it didn't give me a week before it requested a review it started hounding me for the review the minute that I downloaded it

I love using the Roku app, but since this latest update the update pop-up won’t go off my screen so I can’t use the app remote. It asks if I want to update or maybe later. When I hit the update it opens my app to update and I already updated, so it just gives the open option. If in the Roku app I hit maybe later, it does nothing, but the pop-up staying on my screen is preventing me from accessing my Roku app.

You know sometimes you know sometimes sometimes you don't have a control and you need to watch something you can literally just download this app on your phone and I'll be so easy if you don't have a phone you can just use the others phones ask your phones ask for phones any kind of phone can do it and I'm using an iPhone 8 I love the way where do you know but my birthday is on May 13 and that's tomorrow but if you're just watching this on any kind of month it's 2025

I appreciate being able to scan and find all sorts of things on the TV. However, I would also like to be able to view local Detroit television. How can I do that? I’d appreciate anything and everything you might be able to tell me about the possibility for doing that thank you so much.

My family is always losing remotes so we downloaded this app for our smart lg TV. I use it to power it on and volume up and volume down when they lose the remote. They get so mad that I always have access. It does have a lot of ads but I don’t mind because I’m only using it secondary when my kids usually hide the remote in the couch or a random toy bin. It connects via Bluetooth very easily to my iPhone

This is the best app ever I accidentally dropped my actual Roku remote in the toilet and I downloaded this app and I can actually control the TV with my phone so everybody download this app now if you accidentally dropped your remote in water or if you accidentally break it just download the app is the best app I promise you I will not lie to you download this app now

This is as of right now the best remote app I’ve found. The only thing I dislike is the weekly payment for it as well as each time you go off the screen for a moment it makes you repick which tv you are controlling.

I started using the app and bought it and now with the update it wants to charge me again. Do not get app. I got app back in March 2023. Today app came up with update and trying to charge again anual membership.

By far, the best app I found works very well with my TV and every single TV that I’ve used it on. I swear by I never use the TV Remote anymore. I stand by this app. I’ve never had an issue with it and hoped to never have an issue with 100% worth it.

My daughter couldn’t find the remote and took my phone and downloaded this app. It says I have to pay $9.99 a week for something I’m not using. I can’t find anywhere how to cancel the subscription. This is bullcrap

I am a college student and I forgot my Xbox one controller at my parent’s house. When I went back to my dorm, I realized I left the controller and looked for a universal remote until I could my controller back. I couldn’t connect through the Xbox app for some reason so it was very frustrating until I found this app. I thought this universal remote would be PERFECT because it connects to my Xbox which is nearly impossible to find for a universal remote. It works, yes, but there are still issues that make it impossible to like nor want to pay for weekly. The biggest issue is that I have to keep the app open in order to use it. I can’t respond to message or email or do anything else on my phone because the minute I leave the app, the remote stops working. It’ll still be connected (it’ll say that it’s still connected) but none of the remote buttons will work. I think this app has potential, but it’s needs work still. Other apps are able to keep remotes connected regardless of if you leave the app. I don’t know if that’s a bug but it’s aggravating enough to make me regret purchasing it. The app should also be free in my opinion. I pay $6.49 per week (Approx $26 per month) when a universal remote is cheaper and guaranteed to work. Overall based on pricing and quality, I don’t recommend this app unless you need a temporary fix like I did.

I am a student in a school and I downloaded it so I could control my tv with this app but when I downloaded it it asked to pay I was frustrated because this is baloney! I won’t pay for just controlling my and the quality don’t get me started I try to stick with it but every time I press one button it takes me to an ad and that is outrageous! I will not recommend using this app if I were u and who ever owns this app is not slick. And how do u think a child can pay just to control the tv. While some of the updates have been nice. It seems like this ap is ALWAYS updating and the updates always get messed up. So now the on my phone isn’t updating no matter how many times I try to. It also doesn’t let me click “maybe later” and use the remote. Kinda defeats the purpose of this app when it doesn’t let you use the remote on the app. So you have to dig up your old physical remote in the abyss of your couch because the app won’t work. I wish they’d just design a nice remote and leave the updates alone. Or limit how many times they update it within a time period of 6 months or something. Because this is frustrating.

I like this remote but if you are trying to turn your TV off at night, you are out of luck. This remote does not turn a TLC TV off. It just doesn’t work, and I find it annoying getting up to turn tv off because I cannot fall asleep anymore after that. Another issue is that if you press the headphone mode button by accident, you are screwed. The remote does not remove this configuration. It can start it but cannot remove it. You have to turn your TV off then unplug it for 2 min. This is ridiculous. I paid around $30 dollars just to get headaches. Please fix this issue!! Is very annoying. This could be a pretty good remote. For the price I paid I feel ripped off.

The app is great, but it’s really frustrating that they make you pay immediately after downloading, without even a chance to try it out. On top of that, almost everything is locked behind a paywall—you can’t even use the remote without a subscription. That’s especially annoying if you need the remote on your phone because you lost the physical one. Honestly, the paywall makes the app feel kind of useless until you pay. That’s really my only complaint—everything else works smoothly, and overall, it’s a solid app.

I got this bc my tv is a Roku tv and i can’t find the remote atm, most of the Roku apps on the App Store are free and easy to use, when I got this one, I was a little confused on why it had “in app purchases” but most apps have that anyways, I downloaded the app and opened it to use it, connected it to my tv, and as soon as it connected, it popped up with “pay to use” or “use a free trial”. So you download it to pay for it then you can use it? It is really cool that it doesn’t haft to be a Roku tv to use to app, like you can have a Vizio tv and this app would work…if you pay for it.

I had lost my remote and remembered about the app and decided to redownload it, in the past usage of the app it was complete free. With this being said I was still under the impression that it was still free since there way no other labels saying otherwise. Once getting my tv connected I clicked on the arrow button to scroll as I did the same thing in the past. No matter what buttons I push there seems to be no way around having to make a monthly payment. If the app is not going to be free for use then there should be a better recognition of the matter. I’m extremely disappointed that I not only did I lose my remote, but my alternate is no longer free.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. They promote this app to be free on google, just for it to be a subscription. They tell you that if you have problems, to message their Facebook page. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still haven’t heard back. The app asked me to change my tv WiFi to something else, but my repost broke. That’s why I downloaded this app, that’s why I downloaded it. So idk how it expected me to do that. The app said it connected to my tv, but didn’t work when I’d press buttons. Then it would go back and forth between having connection and not. Worst app ever. Don’t waste your time or money.

The ad says 3–day trial then yearly subscription. Don’t fall for it like I did. I saw on my bill within 5 minutes that there was a pending charge. I couldn’t get the remote to work on my TV. I didn’t use it for a single function. I messaged them immediately and they said they would “review” my case. My card was charged within 30 minutes of the messaging and they never so much as acknowledged why my review failed. The subscription I don’t want is scheduled to end the exactly one year from the day of first contact. The 3-day trial is even a lie. Don’t waste your money, find a legitimate option (this isn’t it).

I downloaded this cause it was the first thing that came up when I was trying to pause my tv, but lost the remote. I downloaded it and it worked perfectly to connect, I pressed the button and it paused the tv fine. Used it to unpause, still fine. When I tried to pause again it kept giving me premium advertisements, I was like, “ no. I wanna pause my tv bru. “ I keep trying and getting more advertisements, and I realized, You can’t use it without premium. Seriously? Premium to use a basic remote? After I place this review I am deleting this useless app.

I went downloaded the app just because I needed to turn the volume down and my remote is broke. But when I enter it asks for me to do a subscription I click no and then it says we have connected to your tv have fun and then when I try to use it it just asks me to spend money . What I’m trying to say is why ask for a subscription option if the app itself is a money grab just make the app cost money so we don’t waste are time trying to use it just be told we need to spend more money 1/10 would not try again

I get a pop-up for a new update with options to “update now” or “later”, however later isn’t really an option. The pop-up window just pops right back up. To make things more frustrating, there isn’t an update available. I have the latest version. So I cannot use the app at all. Please get a handle on your pop-up message. If “later” isn’t actually an option, remove it from your messaging. Provide an update so I can get around the pop-up or disable it please!!

I haven’t had this app for much time so I can’t talk about everything but so for it’s been getting on my nerves because every few buttons I press an ad pops up I haven’t paid for anything thing which is probably why but I guess that’s just how advertising works but at least for me a few buttons haven’t been working such as the HDMI buttons and a few others but overall if you have good patience the app will work just fine

Pros.- * Decent app with a good level of control over your smart TV * Intuitive controls * Nice user interface Cons.- * Small delay in button pushes, about .5 second or so. Minimal but still noticeable * Very pushy with their subscription for the app, will interrupt you every 5 or so inputs to ask you to subscribe. I get it you need financial support to help maintain the app. Understandable, however insistently pushing the subscription so frequently is aggravating to say the least and down right infuriating at the most. I would recommend easing off pushing the subscription. Make it a one time pop up every time the app is opened. Or a pop up every 10-15 minutes. But either way every couple inputs is just too much.

I downloaded the app and before being able to use ANY function of the remote it said I had to purchase a membership first. I declined against the monthly membership and chose to just pay $40 and purchase a lifetime membership. Fast forward two months later and they have updated the app, to use any function I must update to the app. But in order to update the app I have to purchase a membership once again, because this app somehow forgot that I already purchased it. Zero stars, this app is a 100% RIP OFF!!!

After 48 hours of having this app, the only thing I can do is change the volume. I can’t change xfinity channels and I have paired the app to my device 14 times already and every time I go to turn it on again with the app I can’t because it says it can’t reach my TV. Then I have to use the original remote to turn on the TV and at that point I can only change the volume. I just sent a bunch of videos to someone that’s in the tech Support department. I will come back and change this review if things change.

This app isn’t explicitly claiming to be an official Roku product, but anyone who downloads it and doesn’t know any better would think it is, like myself at first. So of course I (regretfully) gave it access to devices on my local network. After slamming me with payment plan offers I figured something was up and uninstalled. This was also a sponsored app so it was the first result when I searched “Roku Remote”, looking for the official version. Many people have already been scammed in the app reviews and it’s time to take action and remove this from the App Store.

I was surprised to see how nice it worked, I have a toddler that won’t stop losing my remote. It has so many options for different tvs which work, it’s amazing. However, the joy didn’t last, every 5 inputs the subscription page will pop up you can’t even search up a YouTuber name or artist without being interrupted by it. Also 5.99 PER WEEK??? Id rather just buy a remote at tha point.

Do not get looped into this scheme. The subscription isn’t close to monthly it’s WEEKLY. $10 a week is ABSURD and disgustingly greedy. This app is NOT worth a dime especially when there are free versions you can download thru Roku, Vizio, etc. I tried to cancel this bs the first time they charged me and couldn’t find the option on the app!!!! There’s literally nowhere to cancel and they charged me AGAIN. I wouldn’t waste time even downloading this and from the looks of it, from old reviews, the price just goes UP! Do not do it. Repeatedly popped up with “free trial + payment plan” ApplePay every time a remote button was pressed. You cannot use a single feature of the app without committing to paying $9.99/month if you forget to cancel it at the end of the trial. Repeat: nothing in this app can be used without committing your financial information to a subscription service. This is gambling with your ability to remember another dumb free trial to cancel, it’s predatory and shameful, and I encourage others not to download the app if you see this review.

This was the first app I saw when I looked up "Roku Remote" so I absentmindedly downloaded only to see that every time I tried to connect to the TV, it would require some "premium membership." You shouldn't have to do that, you already are paying for Roku. Luckily my dad had the ACTUAL app (which we've been using the app because of course we misplaced the remote), and it is NOT this one. Be careful not to accidentally pay money for something that you can just use for free

I signed up for the 3-day free trial, only to find that I was charged immediately. There was no warning, no explanation—just an unauthorized charge. To make things worse, there’s absolutely no way to contact support. I’ve sent three messages to their Facebook page over the past three weeks and have received ZERO response. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam. If you’re considering this app, stay away unless you want to be charged without consent. I demand a refund immediately!

I purchased the forever subscription and over the past few months it’s been extremely buggy. I have to “restore my purchase” ever time I enter the app. Now as of this last update I “restore my purchase” but it doesn’t actually restore anything and the pop up to buy the subscription keeps popping up every time I try to use the app. Very frustrating. Needs to fix this ASAP.

App does not give an option to unsubscribe so now I don’t know how to get out of paying $10 for an app I can’t use.

You cannot use ANY of the actual remote functions without paying for the app. Let it be known that the reason why I even downloaded the app is because the remote that was actually purchased fails on me on a whim. The ONLY functions that appear to be useable without a ludicrous paywall are screen-casting. If my goal was to screencast from my phone I would just buy a Chromecast and save myself the trouble. Don't advertise this as a FREE APP and a REMOTE if the sole function you are advertising is NOT FREE. Get a grip, Roku.

Makes it seem like there is a “free with ads” option. There is not. It also lies and says it automatically connects with whatever TV you select and all you have to do is subscribe to use it, but there is no guarantee it will work. I played around with it and selected TVs I didn’t even have and it says it found and connected to all of them within 5 seconds. Thank God I found my remote, even I hadn’t, I wouldn’t pay $10 a week for this ghetto remote. It’s like Temu + remote app

Ok so obviously I got this app for reasons like if I can’t find my actual remote or I don’t feel like using my actual remote.. This is the thing though, when I downloaded the app and got connected, every button I clicked the premium thing popped up. I couldn’t even use the arrows. So, you have to use pay otherwise you can’t use the app. Why would this be free to download if you have to pay in order to even use the arrow pad thing?. That says a lot…

This would be a good remote if you pay for no ads but if you don’t reducing volume just 3 notches from 30 gets you and ad and from then on it takes forever to get to 9. Took me a few minutes to actually watch tv at my volume level. Sorry I probably will delete it and use the actual remote. Easier to walk across a room then watch minutes of ads

I downloaded this app because my remote is not working. I entered the app and as soon as I opened it it said “buy premium”. I did not want to so I pressed the X button I connected it to my tv and i tried to click the down button but it then put the premium thing again. That is when I actually read it. It said if you buy premium then you will be able to actually use it. Please do not buy it it’s a waste of time.

I thought it was going to be free like the others and I was like ok and I read reviews saying it gives full control and it sounded good, so I download it and everything costs money for a second I thought EA made it. But if your willing to spend money it I bet it’s probably good, that’s just why I didn’t give it a 1 star but I’m 14 so I jus have no money so no hate.

If it was free, I would like it, but it’s not. I’m only gonna use this app for three days cause I only have three days to use this app for free if it was free, we give more money and people would enjoy it cause a regular remote. You only have to buy one time. And you have to keep paying for this one and some people don’t have the money to buy it. A remote or a subscription so please change that.

I loved this remote until I bought the permanent subscription a couple of months ago, and instead of the app restoring my subscription when I hit restore subscription. It says my subscription has been fixed; however, the pop-up screen that asks the consumer to subscribe to a monthly subscription or pay again for the lifetime subscription keeps popping up and will not allow me to use the remote! This blows!

The application is really good and works perfectly, but it does not have a reverse button (back), which is a shame, because for this reason I need to look for another app, because the only way to exit the content is by clicking home, I hope it solves this in the future version

Remote won't allow me to connect ! It's worked fine up until now. I've had it since 10/23! I've paid the year charge and I'm still having issues. App is asking me to update. When I try to update, the App Store only has the option to open the app, this is unexceptionable!!

Like I just lost my remote somewhere and I can’t find it so I’m using this app, but I have to have a free trial just to use my phone as a stupid remote. I searched for a free remote control for my Samsung TV in AppStore search engine and this was the first option. As soon as I opened the app it asked me to rate without even using it so I stupidly put 5 starts then right after it asked me to join for a fee trial and after that it would charge like 6 dollar per week if K wanted to connect to my TV. Then it sent me a link to get another app and it didn’t disappeared from the screen unless I click it.

My toddler likes to play/hide with the remote so I wanted an app I could use while looking for the original. This app is very finicky. Often won’t even connect to my tv and when it does work u need a monthly subscription to even use it. The subscription claims to unlock full access, but u literally can’t do anything without one. I can’t even turn the tv off.

BEWARE, THIS APP HAS NO REAL FREE OPTIONS WHATSOEVER!!! Unless you sign up for a free trial, or pay for this app, it does not work at all. You can't even control your tv with the up and down toggle, every single button opens a free trial sign up. OH and lest we forget, if you wanted to provide any feedback to the developers of this application, you can't. Go to settings and the only button for feedback is broken and does not open. I hope apple sees this and removes it from the app store. If I could, I would give this zero stars. The people who made this app are scammers for sure.

Anytime it asks you to update there is a bug where the update prompt will continuously pop up and not allow you to access the remote. I have paid for 1 year updated and not able to use this app for three days. No response from help email

From the ad, it says FREE TRIAL then I got charged from my credit card even if I cancelled it the day I tried the free trial as it did not worked on my TV. DEMANDING FOR A REFUND

I cancelled my subscription over a month ago and it still says there’s a billing problem for the subscription, I cannot download or update anything app on my phone because of this issue where it brings me to add a new card onto my phone because it declined my card which it shouldn’t even be trying to charge me if I cancelled the subscription the day the free trial started.

Had this app charge me 6 times in less than a month for the same amount, once charge was just a day after the last charge. No way to refund, no way to reach out, no way to communicate. Huge waste of money and time.

It told me i had connected to my tv so I subscribed only to be told immediately that my tv must not be the brand it is clearly labeled as, I tested with multiple devices and it will straight up lie to you about its compatibility to get you too subscribe

I’m sorry but it says there is an option to continue without pay, however you choose that and it brings you to the membership option, no I’m not paying to use it. This app is not to be downloaded unless you’re willing to pay monthly to use it.
