Fun and entertainingThe story is a great addition to the series. It has a nice variety of puzzles and hidden object scenes. It makes the game enjoyable, and keeps it from feeling tedious. I also appreciate that the character is smart enough to hold on to her knife and assorted tools rather loosing them after every scene and having to locate replacements (common trope from other developers). I did have to use a couple of hints because there is a part in the game (In the centaur village) where I was unclear on the next task. Perhaps because F2P games are on hard mode and you get less clues. Also, some of the click areas when picking up objects or activating actions were very small and I missed them. Hidden objects behind displaysThis is an amazing adventure puzzle solving game. I have played all 7 and working on 8. I love the depth, difficulty and the immersion. There are a couple things I’d like to see the developer change though and I’ve had these problems with all of these games. On my iPhone, sometimes things we need to find are hidden behind the displays on the screen (like the coin display top right). I end up having to waste a hint to realize the object is behind the display. Then I end up tapping and tapping trying to tap the object without tapping on the display (which is difficult with fingertips). I’d need a pen especially for my phone. It’s frustrating. Also, some things I have to pull down are at the very top part of the screen so when I touch them and pull down, I end up pulling down my Lock Screen instead. And some things are simply not visible because they are cut off and I can only see the bottom of the objects or they are hidden behind the displays. I realize this game was probably intended for a desk or laptop but it’s available for phones. It’s just not very compatible with the screen functions or display features..TarrazanVersion: 1.1.4

Susan the War-MaidenAny update on the CE? I loved the Lost Land series, from a young mother looking for her son, to the developing friendship between Susan and Maaron, to Susan the War-maiden Some issues with 8 that are too big to overlook: 1) the Graphics are dark and monochrome. One of the best things about other BN games is they don’t rely on the dark fuzzy graphics to make puzzles more difficult. Ex., key puzzle (within HOP) teeny gray-on-grey detail, & no way to zoom. 2) not being able to have an item in inventory until one has found the clue is a bit controlling. I’d rather a ‘puzzle’ where one has to solve, rather than a ‘tapping game’ to find the prescribed order. 3) I expect the money BN makes from the ads must be more than the CE version. I didn’t want to keep waiting for the CE for iOS, so finally tried this F2P. I don’t watch ads, and would rather buy. I understand the developers are is a tough spot right now but I’ll look for other B N games as a way to support rather than continue with this one for now..Idontwant12345678Version: 2.0.0

Great game butFirstly I loved the storyline & graphics, but it's really hard and seems to have been created this hard, with as little help as possible other than hints, to get maximum spend out of the user. It takes you all over the place to get something and all the way back again. No options to play at an easier level or in lieu, give user a map with tasks left in an area so you can narrow down your choices of where you need to go. How about putting the clues viewed in a diary so I don't have to take a snapshot or truck all the way back to the clue because I can't remember the clue. It needs an option for hardcore gamers and one for those who play for relaxation. imho F2P needs to go. I pay what would be the game fee for hints then mindlessly watch ads whilst doing something else because although I like the game and want to finish, I refuse to be played for cash by the game makers because I am not as bright as I need to be to remember everything..Lunel CeltVersion: 1.1.4

Wow. I am really torn between …………Giving this five stars OR ONE depending on where in the game I am. The cut scenes as well as the graphics and story line are fabulous. The puzzles are fair to middling but the hIr pullin happens throughout with the inability to collect a tool you can clearly see in a scene but you can’t use it yet because you haven’t clicked on the scene where it is to be used. In addition …clickable areas are added where they didn’t exist before because now you have a new tool to use there. I don’t think these frustrations of mine make any sense at all unless one has actually played the game. I have a pretty calm temperament usually ……… but I’ve actually had to walk away from this little booger when I feel my blood pressure rising. 😂💦😂💦. This game has sooooo much potential to be smoother and flowing. But it’s so not in its current state. AddictedDiscovered BN through New York Mysteries, finished those and moved to this series. I love this one - I have played every one of them and made sure I was able to play the bonus as well. I have ran into a glitch with 8’s bonus game though - I couldn’t find a shard of glass to complete the window, I found a walkthrough and it seems the pc of glass of need is not showing up one the far left of the screen where the horse and cart are. The walkthrough says there is a shard by a barrel and wagon wheel; however, I cannot see the barrel at all on my iPad screen. After playing all of them, this is my first glitch and has stopped me in my tracks. So now I am in search of a new series from you..Mrs. HottVersion: 2.0.0

OUTSTANDING!!!I’ve been playing these mystery puzzle games since I was about 8 years old (I’m 19 now) and very few of them have ever stood out to me like the Lost Lands saga. Not only are your graphics breathtaking, the story lines riveting, and the length of each game perfectly timed, but also your games spark the imagination. Again, I’m an adult and every time I play one of your games, I’m enraptured and amazed. They’re truly something magical. They’re not too grizzly, but not too fluffy and cutesy…they’re perfect. Great game but…I’ve played all of these games In the series and i love everything about it! This chapter is fun and exciting.. the mini games are extremely hard and tedious in this chapter.. I had to skip a few bc they were a little ridiculous to solve but nevertheless a great addition to the series! I love following the storyline! Graphics are amazing and I have really have gotten into the characters. The only downside is it doesn’t let you just choose an object when you find it in a scene. It will say.. you don’t need that just yet.. and you have to open a different scene to then go back and get it. I wish you would just let us choose items whenever we want and we can go through the game and try and figure out where to use it. Dont let this stray you from the game because they are all so fun and challenging but sometimes I just want to play the game with not as many hints. I’d rather buy one if I get really stuck. FantasticI have been waiting for a new journey by Five-BN. This is by far one of, if not, the best story to date. Extremely thought provoking and very difficult. Some of the logic puzzles escapes me and I must admit I had to use skip on more than one occasion. Five-BN games are the BEST in the category, hands done. All others come close, but are not as sophisticated and pale in comparison. Played all other games by this developer and whoever is designing these games is a master. Only problem is, I want MORE. Lost Lands is the best!I’ve been playing this series from the beginning, and it never disappoints. It’s full of fascinating characters, and strange lands to explore. The short videos that transition within are impressive. I’m 3/4 of the way through the main adventure, and it’s difficult to put the game down. It’s interesting to see the central character age, it’s a nice touch. The games and puzzles are a good variety of difficulties, I got stuck a few times. Another good gameI didn't like the gruesome skeleton in a cage, but other than that, it was another good Great Susan game. Please don't have her die in the sequels. There was a glitch in one of the early screens, the one with a guy whose wagon has broken down. On the right there was a shed, and there was something leaning in front of the shed that you're supposed to pick up, but it wasn't clickable when it was supposed to be. Challenging & fun…Love this series. Volumes 4 & 6 were my favorites. However, I’ve run into a number of puzzles that were downright impossible. Latest example was the gongs at the end of bonus chapter in volume 7. There was no possible way to sound the 3rd tone. Had to spend 10 coins to skip just to proceed, and the solution was never displayed. Game just jumped to completion screen & moved on. Had similar experiences in previous volumes as well. Very enjoyableI like all of the Five-BN games, but this is the first one I’ve played that wasn’t marked FTP. I wasn’t sure if it would limit how far I could play in the game before having to pay. Worst puzzle of them allThe boat puzzle is probably the worst puzzle out of every single lost land. I’m to the point I’m not even going to finish it because that puzzle is ridiculous. Mother, son, granddaughterI almost took one star off for leaving Jim “stuck in the sand” for almost the whole game, because I thought the ending was a bit abrupt. But THEN came the extra game featuring the granddaughter - which is more of a prequel really - and all was forgiven. I think I enjoyed it more than the main game maybe. So fun! But there is a typo in bonus chapterLove the game! The puzzles are challenging so you have to stop think and not zoom through the game and finish it in an hour. In the bonus chapter where you have to collect the ingredients for the potion to summon the water spirit. On the potion list , the fish scale drawing is where the tree sap drawing is (if I remember correctly) or they are numbered simply incorrectly. Best puzzle game I’ve ever played 👍This is a wonderful game! I love how it is different from all other search and find games in the way that you don’t have any kind of energy bar, you can tap as many times as you like to find things, and you aren’t timed! The hardest of this seriesLoved this game. It has everything you could want, morphing objects, a bunch of collectibles, great story, amazing graphics and voice overs, which I love! The only critique I have is that often items are too close to the inventory which makes them unnecessarily hard to find. Also, would’ve loved a map. DisappointingI’m a big fan of all the 5BN games, and have downloaded and played every one of them. This one is a weak link. Explanations for some of the HOPs are sometimes unclear, and some of the puzzles are so difficult that they seem impossible to solve. I’ve never “skipped” a HOP in a 5BN game before, but had to do it several times with this one. Not sure if this is a glitch problem with the game, or if this one got added to the portfolio before it was entirely ready. Bonus roundI have played and enjoyed the New York Mysteries, and all of the Lost Lands Series. Lost Lands 8, was an excellent change in some of the game play, creativity of puzzles, and just a bit more challenging. However, my biggest problem is in continuing the Bonus round. After having started the Bonus round game, I must have inadvertently selected Main Game, which started from the beginning again. I can no longer selected the Bonus Game now. FrustratingLike others have commented, I have played all of these games, and as much as I enjoyed aspects of this game, such as the story and graphics, I found some of the gameplay quite frustrating. I also had to skip the floor mosaic due to not being able to see it clearly, and I often had difficulty locating many items, in part because they were very difficult to see, and also because I had no idea where to look. The map doesn’t give you a hint that there is something in a certain scene to do, either find an item, or complete a task. Often, I would tap on an item I thought I needed, but nothing would happen so I thought I was wrong only to use a hint and be directed to the object I previously tried to pick up. The instructions for some of the games were vague. If I put down the game for a while I found I sometimes had no idea what I should be doing when I came back to it because the notebook only gives general story information. It doesn’t track the specific task you were working on. Great GameI’ve played all of the Lost Lands series and this is a great addition. A little sad that Susan is getting so old! What will happen to her next? Go back in time? The mini games are fairly straight forward, I only had to skip one because I just couldn’t get it, the floor mosaic « spot the differences », I’m usually pretty good at those but I was missing something! (If you don’t know what to do in a mini game there is a question mark near the reset button that will bring up a window with an explanation) I loved that this time I could play the bonus chapter without spending money, thank you to the developers for that one! Having some issuesI love these games , and this one is fun so far except for a few places I’m just stuck on …I skipped the floor mosaic after trying and trying 🤦‍♀️Now I am stuck in the swamp/forest area … what am I supposed to do with the blue flower ? And where the heck is the last pinecone ? How do I get the leather belt ? What am I supposed to do with the cottage roof ( broken bottles ) ? Enjoying so far but…Not being able to pick up objects you know you’ll need later is annoying. You know you’ve seen them but can’t remember where and spend tonnes of time looking for them. I guess that’s supposed to add something to the game, but I find it more of a nuisance than a new challenge. Also, the floor mosaic spot the difference puzzle is maddening. I’ve found 10 (possibly 11) differences, but the floor image is washed out and difficult to see so it’s hard to tell. I’ve been stuck on this for two days and have tried seemingly every possible remaining combination to no avail. It would be nice if the hint told you how many differences you were looking for or if the floor picture was clearer. Other than that, I’m liking this game a lot. What could have been.This could have been one of the best games ever, but you have taken an adventure and turned it into a step by step process. There is no need for any feedback from the game. Things like “this could be a hint”, “locked, need a key”, and “too dark, need light” are annoying’ but “ there’s more important things to do”, “I’ll deal with that later”, and “ there is nothing I need to see over there” are controlling every move the player makes. What happened to letting the player play the game. Isn’t walking around looking at everything and try to figure what to do and how to do it the whole purpose? Not very good.The game will not let you collect items until a certain progression in the game. So when you find a place to use an item you should already have because you have already tried to collect it, you have to travel all the way back to some already been to scene and try to remember what scene it was. Over complicatedMy daughter sent me this game after seeing an ad cause it seemed like a game I would be interested in. And it was interesting at first. The graphics are beautifully done. But… This game is way more complicated than it needs to be. In order to do one thing you have to go through like 5 different areas and find a million tiny items or complete 20 separate tasks. That all have to be completed in a specific order. Like you should be able to grab an obvious stick you know you’ll need, but you can’t grab it until you go view the rock. Or grab a hook, but you can’t grab it until you find glass in different areas, view a picture, gather a bunch of ingredients, and use a spell on a pond. Additionally if you get stuck, you only get 5 hints for the entire game before you have to either spend money, or watch a long ad to get 1 hint. And if you’re not in the right area when you use the hint, the hint only tells you what area to go to and doesn’t tell you what to do. Unfortunately disappointedI'm one of the biggest fans of 5 BN Games, I think the games are amazing, the best in terms of investigation, search and finding objects. I've played them all more than once - so giving a negative review is sad for me. Lost Lands 8 is disappointing. The story is interesting to a certain point (with some gaps without explanation but without big impact) but my main problem is with the navigation and inventory structure that has been completely changed in this game. You can't take the items, no matter how much you know you're going to need them. You have to remember where each of them is on the map, wait until you need the item to return to the scenario and be able to put it in your inventory. Some minigames just don't have an explanation of how they should be solved. The diagram with swords and blue spheres, the organization of busts in the university and many others. I'm insisting on finishing the game, but I don't think it follows a narrative, navigation and quality standard that others have (even older ones).
