Good AppAs others have said it takes a little while to figure out how all the features interact. But I got it set up to implement my Pomodoro technique. When the timer period is over it goes into End Actions which has a number of features. I choose to have end actions repeat until manually stopped. The screen flashed alternately red and blue - like police car lights. I’m usually wearing a headset so I done gave any sound alert and you can have it vibrate which you can feel if the phone and/or stand is directly on the desk. The key thing is the end of timer alert flashes until I shut. It off. You might not notice it for a few seconds but it can’t escape your attention for long- making it the perfect Pomodoro timer..OJBatesVersion: 6.3

Perfect For Teachers!Finally! I looked forever for a timer app which would COUNT UP and then STOP with an alarm after the selected period of time had elapsed. Fantastic! Thank you for making this app! This is an extremely versatile timer. It counts up, counts down, lots of different alarms and stopping options, multiple timers, etc, with a big display. I primarily use it in my classroom when giving timed math facts tests, but the app can be used for any timed speed test. I start it and, using a document camera and a digital projector, zoom in on my iPhone and put the display up for the students to see. When they're done they simply write their time on the papers. Does what I need it to do...The app is worth the .99 charged. It does what I was looking for. I wasn't looking for multiple timers or annual event countdowns...so, it filled the bill. One problem I did notice is that, as I was listening to an audiobook, then activated the timer, upon timer completion and when it played its completion alarm, it attenuated the audiobook (which is fine); however, once completed with the alarm, the attenuation of the audiobook (and I imagine music too) was not released. I tried closing the music player, changing volume, closing the timer, and many other things with no success. Finally I rebooted the iPod touch and started up the music player to listen to my audiobook. That worked, and I was no longer in the attenuated audo mode caused by the timer alarm. Half MissingI have been using this TImer for a year, with daily frustration. There are basically two ways to use it: Single Event or Loop. I use it in loop fashion, so I can time my exercises. During the first time period, the numbers are large and clear. When it repeats, however, the numbers change to small, dark blue numerals on a black background. WHY?! The point of a Repeat function is to allow you to do the same timing all over again, without having to stop and reset the timer. The unreadable numerals defeat the purpose. There are no settings to change this glaring error. I also found that on the Timer Support site, there is no place to write in for support that I could find! So, here is my public outcry. Great app but you need to have Settings rightThis is a beautiful app with many options. Many of us will just want to use it as a kitchen timer so that an alarm goes off at the end of a given time. This is very easy to do, but you need to setup the app correctly. The main thing is to have the app in the Notification center. This is done by going to the iPad Settings menu, selecting Notifications. If the Timer app is not in the Notification Center, then select Timer and turn on the Notification Center. Set Sounds to ON. This should have the desired effect. The alarm will now go on even if Timer is in the background (that is, you are in another app, like browsing the web). You may want to change the alarm from the default "Cooking timer" (try "High Danger"). This is done in the Settings menu for the Timer app. You do need the iPad sound to be on. I often turn off the sound on the iPad and then there will not be a sound. You will get a message at the screen, but this may not be the desired effect..Merlin@iTunesVersion: 3.2

Great job!! Few suggestions..This is a great example of how the app rating system can ruin someones hard work. No app can run in the background. None. This developer did the absolute best he could with the restriction of the sdk. It works while phone is locked AND the timer keeps track even when the app is quit. One person complained that they wish they knew about the built in clock before they bough this. So... Whose fault is that? Another said they were giving 4 stars Instead of 5 for whatever reason but clicked 2 stars by mistake. Cmon. This app is great and dies EXACTLY what it says. Few requests: 1) I use this for getting my kids out the door. I'd love a settable warning option ie choose the time and sound. A little more than I wanted in a timerFirst, let me say that it's a good app and it's perfect for a person that uses timers in their daily life regularly. However, I must stay that I purchased this particular timer app because it was a full function app after you pay the premium price. After I did that, I found so much more and actually more than what I needed. I wanted a simple timer that I could configure for stretching that would repeat itself and that was adjustable on the fly. I have not figured on how to do this. It should not be this difficult. A helpful example on how to do this would be beneficial. Very good app, avoid the update to 2.0Timer is one of my main apps, I use it on a daily basis and have been able to configure it exactly the way I want it to work. The update to 2.0 has some issues and I ended up going back to 1.x. First off, I really don't like updates where the user settings get whacked, and unfortunately this will happen when updating to 2.0. Nicely done with one caveatThis timer is very useful and more functional than the built in timer, for sure. The only problem is that when you use the flashing screen for the timer notification (which doesn't need to be as big as it is) you don't have the negative timer counting down from zero after you have reached zero. This definitely needs to be fixed because this negative readout is a nice feature. I was kind in not reducing it one more star for the goofy splash screen that is not needed. Wonderful application (v3.1)Love the new Preset feature that lets you easily save and switch between different timing programs. One request to the developer: it would be nice to have the ability to define events as time intervals and then have the ability to rearrange their order as needed. Almost Perfect...I've been a happy user of this timer app ever since Alton Brown used it on an episode of /Good Eats/. I've owned an iPad for about three days now, and I've spent a tidy few dollars repurchasing many applications so they would look nice on my new techno-fetish object. I was delighted to find out that this one, one of the least expensive ($0.99!), didn't require repurchase because it was already universal! Awesome! So--why only four stars? Well, the iPad version doesn't do the one thing that I most wanted from the iPhone version: in a timer app, I want a landscape-mode screen that is, simply, VERY LARGE NUMBERS THAT COUNT DOWN. And Timer (iPad) doesn't do this. You have the old iPhone-sized numbers in the left third of the screen, and all the options on the right two-thirds of the page. Excellent AppI use this app for a rather elaborate stroke recovery process. The app has a multitude of options. It can be either simple or complicated to set up, depending on what your purpose is and how many of those options you want to use. Great TimerI enjoy how everything is visible on one screen. All the options, the countdown, and the settings. Also the countdown is unique in how one scrolls down to find the wanted time. And when it is completed, it will start counting up in overtime. Great app:-) Only needs 3 more things!I think this app is one of the best timer apps in the whole app store. I just think that it needs the OS 4 comparability, just like they said. Great! Hoping for ios4 backgrounding updateThe built in timer sounds through my iPod touch's speakers even if I have headphones plugged in. I needed a timer that would sound through my headphones instead; this one does that. I also like the fact that it keeps counting after the timer goes off, until you click ok, so that you can see how long ago time was up. A simple app that does what it does well. If you leave the app, it will continue running in the background, and show the proper time when you come back to it. However, it hasn't been updated for ios4 yet, so if the time is up before you switch back to the app, you won't hear the alarm until you open the app again. I'll add a fifth star if they update it so that you can hear the alarm while it's backgrounded in ios4..Ljm1973Version: 0

Flexible app, some notifications don't work with iOS 5I love the flexibility of this timer -- I use it to track uneven intervals for running (e.g., 4 minutes on, 1 minute off). It's difficult to set up but can be figures out if you're persistent. However, some of the alarm settings -- specifically, vibrate notifications that can be felt through a case during exercise -- do not work when the screen is locked (manual or automatic). There are workarounds, but they are battery-expensive. Would love to see this fixed!.DespraVersion: 3.2

Nice workI've been surprised at how few useable countdown timers there are in the app store. This one has the features I need for yoga and meditation. A countdown timer with repete functionality. Timer AppI really like this app but it has closed several times unexpectedly while I was programming and it looses the work I have done. It doesn't seem stable. Eventually after several frustrating tries I can get it to work but only due to my patience. I even saved my work once and the program dropped out loosing the work I had previously saved. Highly recommended!I love this app! I use it while doing Chinese standing Qi Gong exercises. I can set this timer in a loop to ring every 10 minutes and Apple's clock's timer runs at the same time to let me know when my 30 minutes are up. There are many options and sounds to select between for a wide variety of purposes, it is very user friendly, and the timer is dependable to work as I expect it to. Good but speed buttons would make it greatThis app has improved over time and is a good timer. The recent adding of presets was a good move. The problem is that shifting between presets requires five taps before the next preset is running. I'd like that reduced to one tap by adding four speed buttons to thr screen. Great for Pecha Kucha PresentationsI bought this app because I had to deliver a Pecha Kucha presentation to an audience about my iPhone app "Video Edit". A Pecha Kucha presentation automatically advances your slide every 20 seconds without your control and so the pressure to stay on time is intense. Timer worked great for providing me with a looping 20 second countdown to let me know how much time I had left before my slide would automatically change. Overly complex and confusing interfaceAll I want to do is program a timer with a title and end-of-time ring tone. This sort of does that but it has so many features that are so poorly described that you don't know how it's supposed to work. Furthermore, I paid extra to save my settings for specific timer tasks but it keeps asking me to "load preset - are you sure" and then it erases my programmed task! Simple to use, does exactly what I wantAll I was looking for was a simple timer that would softly notify me when a predetermined time period had elapsed. This app allows me to set a continuous period with no sound as an option and a soft gong option as an alarm at the end. Decent potential but unreliableI purchased this app specifically for circuit training. The timer was set to 35 seconds. Iteration one timer did not sound. Several times during the next 30 iterations the timer would randomly change the time. One second it would be at maybe 9 seconds, then it would change to 23 seconds.
