Definitely helpingEven after the first night I found the following day I was much less resistant to cold calling. I’m not where I want to be, but it’s a step in the right direction. I am very please with this. The only thing and I think I read it in another review. When you get past induction, the following portion is a noticeable amount louder. If I am asleep by the time induction is done, I haven’t woken up, but if I’m still semi-conscious, it is jarring the audio level difference..Version: 9.0

Great app but...After he wears you down into a perfect point of relaxation, the volume increases dramatically. Sometimes I use this for sleep and that just wakes me right back up. In response to the double negative complaintFor the person that complained about the double negatives not being appropriate for hypnosis, you my friend are the one that needs to brush up on your understanding of hypnotism. Double negatives in hypnosis are actually a standard and effective way to induce confusion in the mind which ultimately frees your subconscious up for recieving suggestions from the hypnotist. In other words while your mind attempts to work out the meaning of the double negative its guard is down and the hypnotist can follow with his message or suggestion. It has nothing to do with a negative message. Its only designed to get the desired message past the conscious brain. You may be thinking of negative suggestions. Those are not always good. The example thats often used is telling a child to bring a full glass of milk over but dont spill it. The negative message of telling him not to spill usually will result in him spilling it. That is completely different than double negatives & is not relevent here..Version: 6.0

Out Like A LightI only started listening to this last night, so it's a bit early for a review regarding my increased social confidence, although I know I have behaved more confidently today, but I will put that down as coincidence until the 3-weeks have passed. However, I am amazed to say that I had the most restful sleep I have had in years. I suffer from insomnia every night. If I don't fall asleep until 2-4 am, then I toss and turn all night, waking up frequently. But last night, I got through the relaxation part, and the next thing I was aware of was the alarm going off this morning. It's been years since I slept so soundly. I'm sure Andrew's soothing Scottish accent has a lot to do with it. I am giving 5 stars for its ability to put me and keep me asleep for a night...that alone is worth the price I paid. Great!!I got the free relax app and quickly realized how much I liked it. I purchased the social phobia app to see what it could do and I highly recommend it. I didn't buy this app to gain confidence and change myself. I bought it because the free version helped me to relax and fall asleep; I thought this one would too. Well it does more - it HAS helped me overcome my shyness and awkwardness in social situations. Every night for the past three weeks I turned on Andrew when I got into bed and I have never made it to the end of the program. It definitely relaxes me! Helps to direct your attention to were its suppose to beI've had experience with hypnosis and have been a firm believer in it for many years. I wrote a review for his relaxation recording also which I thought was another good program. I like his approach, spending a good balance of time between the physical relaxation at the beginning of the recording and the emotional message in the middle. Its a nice touch to give the listener the ability to modify some of the parameters or the program such as waking at the end of the tape or continue the relaxed state (to slip of to sleep or whatever). Has a smooth relaxing voice. I think this app deserves five stars because of its effective but generic approach to relaxing in social situations..Version: 0

FantasticI could never say enough positive things about this app! I have always been skeptical about hypnosis, but after listening to this for two weeks, I can say with certainty that this has made a major impact. Even if you think you don't have major problems with social phobia, listen anyway; there are so many issues covered there will be something that will be be of major benefit to you. Persistance!After the first four days or so, i didn't think this would work for me at all, in fact it even seemed to make my social anxiety worse.
