I originally chose the free version, which is basically a trial version without many positions. I purchased the full version, since it is cheaper and much more convenient than a "pocket" positioning guide book and lots better than the "little black book" (older RAD techs & students know what I'm talking about). One complaint I had, and several reviews also stated, were the lack of techniques. There is so much variation between film, CR, DR, different brands, rooms, and preferences, that I can understand the app not supplying these, but I wanted to be able to add some as notes myself. Then, after complaining for a while about this myself, I realized the app already has this! For all of you also complaining, just look under each of the individual positions. There is a blue "Note" tab on the upper right of the page. You can type in whatever you want. I go to several physical locations and deal with lots of different equipment, so under "Note" I add the location or room and an average technique for that exam. You can add whatever notes you want, it is free form. I don't need to look at it often, but it is a great reference to have on hand especially if you are a new tech or deal with lots of different equipment and it is great peace-of-mind to always have with you on your phone if you ever do have a question. Well worth the price!
I am an xray student and this app is very helpful for studying and even to just refresh the memory of rarely used positions.

IRadTech Lite Negative Reviews and Ratings
Plzzzz add avg. body habitus techniques(with and without grid)!! That's all that's holding this app back and keeping me from even thinking about buying full version. So techniques, techniques, techniques and I'll give 5 stars and buy full version.
Sorry Phil,no such thing as AP position.AP,PA are projections, not positions ...ie see lower extremity, lower leg...AP position? ...ARRT conventions...extremity is now Limb..How can we teach our students to use the proper terminolgy when the primary texts do not?prime example..to perform an AP projection of the forearm place the hand in supination, not AP position.'Film' is now IR, unless you are referring to a physical sheet of film in the box or processor.thanks
When are we going to be able to add user defined techniques ? When is the update comming out ? It seems like the dev is not supporting this app anymore... waiting for a while now to purchase this but dev seems to be out to lunch on user requests and update...
Someone please tell me where to get the full version of this app. My friend has it on his phone and I like it but the full version is no where to be found. I will re rate when I can use the actual app
I want to buy the full version but it's not even finding it anymore on the App Store
This app is terrible! How do you put out a lite version with such few positions. No techniques and Poor design. Why would I spend $30.00 on the full version when there are similar if not better radiography positioning apps for $10-12 dollars cheaper. I would give zero stars if I was given the option.
Great app but this version only has 8 positions. This app will leave you wanting more. The full version was intially $19.99, then went on sale for $9.99 and is now $24.99. This is a great handy reference to have when you have time in between procedures. Depending on what you think app of this nature is worth, it will probably go on sale again. When you are ready to spend some money get the full app.
Even with variations from site to site, there are many inaccuracies, even the PA chest had the wrong marker orientation, the supine abdomen has been confused with the upright abdomen. The SID described don't follow the modern ALARA principle, current international radiographic community has adopted either 115cm or 122cm for body parts not requiring 183cm. Needs updating.
