GoodRx: Prescription Savings Customer Service

I’ve been using GoodRx since it came out. Originally I was told by Walmart pharmacy (See below) that they won’t accept GoodRx and even a phone call from GoodRx, explaining to the pharmacist at Walmart, that they HAD to accept them due to a contract they had with Walmart, they still refused to accept the coupon codes. So I switched pharmacies and it’s been great since. I have several pets on long term medications and GoodRx has saved us a TON of money! I’ve even stood in lines waiting for prescriptions and told other customers about GRx. They were shocked and beyond grateful that they could save so much money with something they knew nothing about. So GoodRx gets an A+ from me! *Old Review: I was told today by a major pharmacy they are no longer accepting these coupons because they are not getting reimbursed for them. She said all pharmacies are aware of it and you'd be hard pressed to find one that will take them anymore. She said it's a scam (which I didn’t believe) and they lost tons of money before they finally caught on. She even had a post it note on the register saying "Don't accept Good Rx coupons anymore!" I was totally disappointed with the pharmacy because I spent many of hours going through each and every prescription my family has and writing down who had the best price. The prices are not correct either. A medicine that said the cash price was $135 was actually $169. She said the prices are not accurate nor guaranteed. Waste of time and energy, all for not. :(

I’ve used GoodRx for years. Amazing as it may sound, they have been around for a very long time. When I first heard about them Walmart was about the only Pharmacy that recognized them across the Board, no question, always price accepted. Walgreens, occasionally, but never a large price difference. Some they accepted, some they did not. I can’t even begin to tell you how many people, especially Seniors, I’ve helped. And, loads of them I don’t even know. I just knew how many people needed such help with prices. That so many people are literally going without Medicine, because their Income didn’t allow for them to buy food, pay for shelter, gas to get to Work…unfortunately, things are only going to get worse. I know, sorrowfully, what deciding not to get a life or death Medication filled. My Mom made that decision. It cost her life. I just wish there had been a GoodRx for her. I’ve actually helped people waiting in line for Rx pick-up! Last Point: GoodRx is actually better pricing, on some of my Meds, than my Medicare Part D Pricing! When I was picking a Carrier (I just became eligible in August) the Customer Service literally told me to continue using GoodRx on a couple of my Rx’s! You pricing is literally better than what the Government offers! Sorry this is by so long, so I’ll end with I’m the biggest Cheerleader, probably more than anybody, for GoodRx! On behalf of myself, & countless others I know, or don’t know, Thank You. Now I don’t have to make a decision that cost my Mom her Life. I get to do so much more than my Mom never got the opportunity to do.

I never write app reviews so that tells a lot by itself. My husband and I are huge GoodRx Fans! If you’re self pay...use GoodRx. Even if you have insurance and you have to wait on a prior authorization...look to see the price on GoodRx so you don’t have to wait, because GoodRx could make it affordable. If your insurance just simply won’t cover whatever your rx is and you think it’s impossible to afford it...get GoodRx Gold. I have insurance and still have GoodRx Gold. My husband doesn’t have insurance and he also uses GoodRx and GoodRx Gold. GoodRx is totally free to use and you usually save a nice chunk of change. GoodRx Gold is like $5.99 for individual plan and I believe $10 for a family plan. Chances are you will definitely save WAAAY MORE than the membership. The app is so easy to use. It’s free and navigating through the app is a breeze. You simply type in your medication, choose the dose, amount, etc... and you get told the prices of the local pharmacies. Once you sign up for the free GoodRx card (super fast process) you will auto automatically get a member card that you can pull up right on your phone to show the pharmacies. There’s even a card icon on the top of the screen when you open the GoodRx app. Just tap on it and your member card is ready to show the pharmacy. Also, I can easily text the men ever card to my husband when he’s picking up a prescription for me. GoodRx & GoodRx Gold is a huge blessing to my family on pretty much a weekly basis. Try it! You will love it. :)

I recently lost my job and with it my health insurance. I purchased cheap insurance so I would not get penalized at the end of the year, but when I went to fill one of my monthly scripts I was shocked to find I had no prescription coverage. When I walked away from the counter in a daze, unsure how I was going to make this work with the handful of pills I take every night. Suddenly, I remembered something I had heard of called GoodRx. I pulled it up on my phone and voila! Because of this app I am able to get my medication every month that I otherwise may not be able to. Not only that, but it has really opened my eyes to the difference in price from one pharmacy to the next. I always thought that prescriptions were the same (approx) at all pharmacies but this service proved otherwise. One script at my regular pharmacy was $35/pill so my insurance would only fill 4 at a time and I had to come back every 2 days as needed to refill. With goodRx I can get 12 remaining pills at another pharmacy for just $22!! It is amazing! Granted I have 3 scripts at 2 different pharmacies now bc I go where it is cheapest and one is at a different place, but it is worth it for all the saved money. So glad I remembered GoodRx and highly recommended it to anyone without prescription coverage! Even with coverage, sometimes copays and deductibles are so high it makes more sense to use GoodRx. Now you can’t use good Rx and your insurance at the same time, it’s one or the other, but in some cases good Rx is even cheaper than your prescription copay! So grateful!

In today’s America, the price to buy anything to keep yourself healthy is not only unaffordable, it’s impractical. Insurance premiums, medical costs, prescription costs and even real food prices make the average American’s paycheck negative before it touches their bank account. Cutting out the middleman is a risk many can’t afford due to existing conditions. For me, it was the way out of the cycle. Good Rx’s free version saved me a decent amount monthly. Once I looked into the additional savings with the Gold membership, it was a no brainer to upgrade. A 7 day supply of antibiotic just went from $32 cash price to $22 with the free version and dropped again to $5 with Gold, which more than paid for the monthly membership fee. That isn’t even with my regular monthly prescriptions! The additional perks accompanying the membership are all of solid value and would genuinely be used by the majority. If you are considering a way to reduce your costs on cash pay prescriptions, Good Rx is the best option, hands down. As far as those medical bills, make sure you call the billing department once you receive your bill and ask for the cash discount. It doesn’t work with any insurances, though. I hope I could help you keep a few nickels in your pocket!

I am in recovery for a bad opiate problem I had. I have been clean and sober for going on 2 1/2 years I am very proud of myself for that it was extremely difficult. But the only reason I was able to do it is because of the treatment that I received from my doctor. I guess he is a psychiatrist and a treatment specialist. The meds that I have been taking I want gave me the ability to stop relying on the opiates. But my insurance was just recently canceled because I haven’t been able to work due to the coronavirus pandemic and my prescriptions were going to cost me about $350 a month on top of paying for my doctor visit every month I wouldn’t be able to afford that because of this pandemic. Fortunately somebody recommended good RX to me and it saved me $200 on my monthly meds. If it wasn’t for that I am afraid of what would happen to me if I did not have these meds. If it wasn’t for GoodRx I don’t know if I would be able to continue on the path that I am on which is the one I want to stay on if you need some help getting your prescriptions I recommend good RX to you. I have been purchasing prescriptions (and some OTC drugs, which require a prescription) through Good Rx Gold and Good Rx Coupons, for about 6 or 7 months. I purchased the “Individual” plan, and I consider it as the best $5.99 per month that I have ever spent. To be clear, I have saved over $1300 in drug costs, since I began my subscription. To say that I am “Blown Away” would be putting it mildly!!! The one drawback is that one may have to use several different pharmacies to purchase his/her medications. This is because the drugs have different costs at different pharmacies. HOWEVER, with the amazing app and by inputting the formulary, one knows the cost of the drug (or an excellent approximation), prior to making the purchase. This may be a little inconvenient for the doctor, because to order a prescription electronically, they would first have to share their purchase plan with the patient (so that the patient can determine where would be the best price). However, I have yet to have a doctor to complain about having to do this, because I think that they know how much savings are realized by their patients. BRAVO, GOOD RX and GOOD RX GOLD!!!

I have no Rx insurance and was denied assistance when I had to (so i thought) leave a public sector job. Hmm Now i rely on good Rx as they have been literally life saving. I will openly and unapologetically say that being employed by the state department of health in Florida contributed as the major factor of the decline of my physical and mental health. I didn't find out about GoodRx until i had no income and chose to fight for each step toward being healthier. I still use this app as the savings are jaw-dropping hella good. More than private insurance. Pharmaceutical companies and even the dispensing pharmacies often mark-up the selling price of a medication. For example, one medication is valued on un-named pharmacy’s manifest of purchases as $7 cost paid to the manufacturer but attempted to charge unnamed consumer $91 for a nasal spray which soon after is on the shelves in both brand and generic (who could it be?). So enjoy saving money and always question authority. Help each other is what i would like as a consumer. There’s so much hate by default when our similarities and differences are how we learn and we teach embracing and sharing kindness. Be the change. - Ya’ll asked for it and obviously ...

Have saved literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of $ on expensive drugs since I started using it a few months ago. Didn’t try it initially when I first heard about it because I thought it was some kind of scam. Then my doctor’s office gave me a referral to the app. Of course, that legitimized it for me. My pharmacist at CVC told me this is killing them their prices are being so undercut. Drug prices vary outrageously from pharmacy. Good Rx allows you to choose your lowest price then buy at that pharmacy. This is how it works. Just anonymously enter your med name, dosage and how many pills a mo you take and a list will come up with pharmacies near you and their prices so you can compare. Choose the one you want, go to that pharmacy and give them your Rx. Show them on your ph their price for that med and they’ll sell it to you for that amount. Just like that! Unbelievable! But not unbelievable to your wallet. I watch and my prescriptions come in the bottles from the manufacturers so it’s not like any switches are made by the pharmacy. You don’t show them their Good Rx pricing on your ph until you’re ready to pay. Also, very easy to transfer your existing Rx from your high price pharmacy to them.

I do not understand how there can be so much variation on the same medications. The need some kind of regulation. GoodRX is as good or sometimes better than actual health Insurance that you pay for. This is a FREE app, I don’t think drug prices should be like the stock market, and that is exactly how it is in the United States. We are the only developed country in the world that does not have some type of government oversight on what pharmaceutical companies can charge for medications. That’s why a lot of medications in Canada and Mexico are a fraction of what they charge for the same dug in the United States. The government should contract with GoodRX to do that. It looks like they already have the infrastructure to at least get it started. Before GoodRX was around, I remember going to 3 different Walgreens in Ft. Myers on the same day to get my Androgel filled. I got 3 different prices from the same company ranging from $800-$1800. Why can’t medications be close to the same price wherever you go? Like gasoline or the price of beef per lb. Something needs to be done, this is the biggest problem within our healthcare system. Go for it GoodRX, go to congress and get it done!

I have been using GoodRx Gold ever since it came out. I just tried filling a prescription at a Ralph’s pharmacy that I’ve used for all of my prescriptions since 2002. The pharmacist told me that Ralph’s/Kroger no longer takes GoodRx Gold because, “Frankly, they’re losing money. The prices are less than Ralph’s/Kroger pays for their prescriptions.” In other words, GoodRx & GoodRx Gold are doing a Great Job! negotiating prescription prices for those of us who use this discount card. What’s interesting to me is that no pharmacist (I know all of them at this Ralph’s personally.) ever told me about the fact that Ralph’s/Kroger no longer takes GoodRx Gold. What am I going to do - even though I’ve used this pharmacy since 2002 for all of my prescriptions? I’ll take my prescription to a pharmacy that WILL fill my prescription using the GoodRx Gold discount because I’ve literally saved thousands of dollars using this discount card! (By the way, I do not work for any special interest or for GoodRx, nor has anyone paid me to say this. I’m just a happy consumer, a senior on Medicare, who wants to pass the word along.) Thanks!

This app makes what can be a harrowing chore actually bearable. It’s easy to find what medications you’re looking for, and the app tells you the cheapest place around to buy it, because GoodRx knows that prohibitive cost is the last thing you need to worry about when you’re dealing with whatever actual issue requires a prescription. GoodRx makes it easy. And sometimes making it easy is just about reminding us there’s other humans all around. Please give the employee who writes the mobile app “Update Notes” a big heartfelt THANK-YOU from me, (and also a raise? You should always listen to customer feedback you know!) because gearing up to struggle with all the complications and stress of illness and medications and money, and instead reading the breath of fresh air that is an entertaining GoodRx update log... the spark of joy, the simple reminder that there’s a person on the other end of the impersonal Internet, one who knows I’m a person too, made all the rest conquerable, even if just for one day. And the smallest speck of happiness and humanity can make all the difference “in these trying times.”

I’ve been using Good Rx since around 2014. Thankfully I found them through a caring worker a lot a Local Phamacy. The Pharmacist assistant was belittling me because I was questioning the drastic change in my prescription meds I had been on for years and was told If I couldn’t afford the medication I could feel free to go to another pharmacy. Before leaving which I did and never looked back a nice coworker of theirs heard the discussion and realized I was shocked at how rude the lady behind the register was. Luckily at the time I had good insurance which surprisingly Good RX was cheaper than going through my insurance. Due to health problems I lost that good insurance and Good Rx has been a life savor. I have used it ever since. Especially now that due to my health conditions my insurance has once again been canceled. I can still afford my 5 prescriptions that keep me alive thanks to GoodRx. Just leaving the hospital yet again with the comfort of knowing that the new blood thinner they have prescribed me will not bankrupt me due to no insurance. The Hospital is another story. Thanks from the bottom of my irregular beating heart for being there for me. 🤩🙏🏼😎

Short story: I will never be without the GoodRx on my phone!! Read on if you want to know why. 😉 I discovered GoodRx when my dog needed expensive eye drops. The vet had the GoodRx cards in the exam room. I’m so glad I did because after that, my husband and I transitioned to a high deductible plan which meant paying the full insurance prices until our deductible was met. I started shopping around using the app to compare prices for the medications we needed and was happy to see we could save A LOT of money!! 💰 In the past two years, I’ve had multiple major reconstructive surgeries on my hands/wrists/arms and had to be on narcotic pain relievers afterward. New regulations made it easy for my insurance to deny me access to the medications my doctor prescribed even though I had met my very large out of pocket max for the year. GoodRx prices gave me an affordable alternative which allowed me to avoid the hassle of getting my insurance to pay...which would have meant suffering in pain while fighting with them! I am grateful I had access to an alternative that didn’t cost me a fortune. I tell everyone that will listen to check out GoodRx!! 😁

I lost all my medications while traveling to visit a friend in another state. I was under the impression that if my doctors office ordered a replacement prescription for me my insurance would cover the medication. NO! I was stunned at the price of the medication and I called Humana only to find out that after years of being my insurance company, my insurance did not cover lost or stolen medication. If not for this app that saved me hundreds of dollars I really did not know what I was going to do. The pharmacy manager at Walgreens in Eureka Missouri was so kind and respected my situation and told me about this app. I was great full for the information that saved me so much money. I am talking in the hundreds of dollars. I hope someone like her is in every pharmacy and helps a customer in shock because they cannot pay for medicine that is important for their health. She could of not cared about my plight but she listened and told me about Good RX and excepted the coupons even after I had already paid the full price. She refunded my credit card and was so understanding and professional that someone should be aware of what she did for a customer in distress. Thank goodness for this app.

This fantastic service helps me as a physician to help my patients beat the unreasonable and unforgiving pharmacists, health insurance companies and big Pharma. It’s still disheartening that I have to tell patients that the pharmacists will not voluntarily tell them that they can pay less if they pay cash than if they use their “health insurance”. The pharmacists always take the highest price, and only render the lower price when the patient knows they have the right to receive a lower cash pay price. The health insurers are in cahoots with the pharmacist in this cheat. And of course the health insurers are taking over the pharmacy industry by directing patients to “pharmacy benefit managers” who work really hard at benefiting them selves. Good RX works so well, I’m waiting any day for it to disappear after being purchased by one of the evil “pharmacy benefit managers”. They are “managing” things all right. They’re bringing healthcare to a screeching halt by requiring prior authorization for healthcare that actually benefits people. They don’t want people to receive healthcare that works. They are only interested in enriching themselves.

So I’ve had this app downloaded for probably 2 years with 0 use because I just don’t really get sick. Well I’ve been miserable for 5 days and finally decided to cough up 60$ to do a web cam visit with a doctor (god I love technology). I don’t have health insurance and urgent cares can get extremely expensive, especially with me pretty much knowing my diagnosis. Web cam doctor confirms that I more than likely have strep throat and sends my antibiotics to my pharmacy. I’ve done this before without insurance and I got really nervous about how much the pharmacy would charge me without insurance. I pull up my goodrx app and think there’s no way possible 30 antibiotics are going to be less than 10$. I can’t even get over the counter meds less than 10$. Well I was full of anxiety wondering if it was going to work or cost me upwards of 100$ for my medicine. It worked to my surprise and I’m a believer!! I’m a forever customer and I feel like I owed them this review. Thank you goodrx. I don’t know how you do it but thank you.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer. They started me on hormones and I paid $250 for a 90 day script. Then my treatment changed because I needed chemo. So I was prescribed something different and I mentioned to my doctor about what I paid for the first. He was stunned. He gave me a Good Rx card and looked up the hormones, I could have paid only $15 for them with Good Rx. When Walgreens told me $500+ for my 2 new prescriptions, I asked if they didn't have the discount cards, and was offered a $20/mo membership with them that would bring my prescriptions price down to $108 Somehow I couldn't accept that either. I loaded the app to my phone, compared prices and called Hy-Vee to ask about moving my prescriptions. The pharmacist I spoke to at Hy-Vee did get my scripts transferred and she was really helpful. I paid under $25 that was fantastic! Imagine if I never asked, Dillons would have let me pay $1,000 for 4 x hormones. The only thing that could be greater is if they would give me back the $235 they made me over pay, but with Good Rx I feel pretty confident that it's the best way to go. And I highly recommend having this card, I'm really happy to have it!

I rarely do “reviews” but THIS app has saved me so much money. When my insurance benefits changed drastically a couple of years ago, When I went on SSDI, I no longer enjoyed being able to use commercial coupons for a couple of VERY expensive meds. While nothing will ever replace THAT, GoodRx has saved me a LOT of money! The “Part D plan” that I have to use doesn’t cover almost all of my essential prescribed meds. Without GoodRx, I don’t think I would even be able to pay for all of my meds. At least now I can afford most of them, and some of the GoodRx prices are better than what my private insurance used to be! It’s always been a “fun challenge” to me, always shopping around for everything to find the very best prices. With this app, I can always find the best price nearby and it has become an essential app for me. I highly recommend using GoodRx, even if you have wonderful prescription drug coverage. It beats even the smallest copays sometimes! I LIKE to save money. I think we all do….. Thank you for this app!

Thank you very much !!! I don’t know what I would have done without it. My spouse passed away recently from GBM. I suddenly had no medical insurance and my husband had been the breadwinner while I had taken care of my grandsons and also been homemaker and sadly been diagnosed with arthritis in all my joints as well as fibromyalgia and CFS. I have to be able to take care of a farm, farm animals and working dogs, among other responsibilities. It’s so difficult to go through such grief and mourning and still have to go on. Without GOODRX I JUST WOOILD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AFFORD MY MEDICATIONS and be able to push through and get things done on the farm. My only disappointment is that we don’t have a pharmacy which would offer a good price ( with goodrx) on lidocaine patches 5% ( 90 a month), prescribed by my GP. On my husbands insurance/ drug plan, it only cost $10 for 90 patches. It helped so much for the chronic pain and was at least one less medication that went through my digestive system. Praying for a way to get that at a decent price. God bless you all.

I haven’t had health insurance in over five years, maybe longer and I have four different prescriptions a month as a result of being in a car accident and one of my doctors offices had a GoodRx card in it. Well I picked it up and then went on the website and looked up the prices I could have been paying for medication.. GoodRX has saved me more money than I could imagine, just recently it started saving me $208 a month on just one prescription!! That’s $2,500 a year in savings!! Over the last four or five years it has probably saved me over close to $7,500!! Download this now if you have multiple prescriptions or don’t have insurance like me and start saving now! The only tiny and sometimes annoying catch is that you may have to go out of your way a bit to get the best price but I’m willing to drive an extra 25 minutes to save $208/month on just one prescription. All in all GoodRx is an amazing program or whatever/however it works I’m not sure but if you require medication download this app and start saving now!!

Oh my words! Incredible with how much you have saved me with my medications! I am generally in the “ donut hole” by March beginning every year and that includes having to pay a $560 out of pocket part d drug deductible. I’m a senior on social security. One of my meds is my “ life line”- amitiza. The cost out of pocket is astronomical but I have to get it thru insurance as it’s still beyond what I can pay with Good Rx ( over $1400 for 3 month supply ). This is the drug that puts me in the donut hole early on. Do you think this med will ever go genetic or the price will come down? Aside from this I am forever grateful for Good Rx as I have saved literally $100’s out of pocket on my other meds. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Even this seems not enough. So so very grateful for lowering my financial stress level in regards to the huge savings you offer on the 5 other drugs I require. I bypass my part d insurance coverage even though I have to pay the monthly premium. I am in hopes that some day the amitiza will go generic and that cost will become more reasonable and affordable. My first time, unfortunately. I could’ve saved sooo much money in the past if I had known about this😔 So.. I had my prescription called in to a different pharmacy due to the one in my doctor’s office being closed for remodeling. It’s normally $20 even there. The pharmacies near were a Publix and a CVS. At Publix it was $87 and at cvs it was $98. Something told me to google apps that could possibly save me money. I remember reading or hearing about that somewhere at some time. I ended up downloading this app, after reading the reviews, and giving it a shot. When I tell you the coupon it gave me for public showed the price of $37!! BUT when he scanned the coupon off of my phone, it went even lower.. to $33!! No complaints, wxcept I wish I had known way sooner! Just such a shame they won’t tell you about this!! As a single parent trying to make ends meet, like ALOT of us are, I’m sure, any help is always needed! Thank you soooooo much for this app and the help you provide!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼 Again.. I’m just in shock.. this is truly unbelievable!

Healthcare in the USA is awfully expensive. I’ve been paying $2380 for a 90 day supply of my antiviral hepatitis B medication for years. I have a $7000 deductible to meet yearly before my Blue Cross Blue Shield pays 80 % until $13,500 out of pocket cap. One doctor mentioned about GoodRx. So I downloaded the app to see if it can safe me a few dollars. To my surprise, the app showed coupon prices ranging from $164 to $545 for a 90 day supply of this pill from various pharmacies. I was skeptical about it. But I wanted to try anyway. I transferred my prescription from Rite Aid to Safeway as Safeway has the lowest coupon price of $164. The Safeway pharmacist told me it’s $2385 for my 90 day pills before I showed her my GoodRx coupon. I showed her my app coupon and asked if it works. She said “IT WORK “and I paid $164 for the same medication that would have costed me $2385. It’s a 93% Saving. I don’t understand how and why this happened. But I’ve been using GoodRx app for all my family members’ medications. I told all my friends and relatives about it. GoodRx App is a life saving tool for a lot of people. Thank You GoodRx !!!!!

About a year or so ago, I lost my job and my medical insurance for a short period of time until I was eligible for insurance at my new job. I had to have my doctor change the medication I take from an extended release form to an instant release form because the cash price was cheaper for the generic. Not a big deal but I preferred the other med because it was better overall for my daily medicinal needs. Thank goodness I only paid the “cash price” for one month at the local small town pharmacy next to my doctor’s office. I was fortunate enough to hear about GoodRx on a various internet ad and looked into it. This app took my cash price from $136 down to $15 for the 7 months that I had no employer insurance! Thank you for saving me money during my times of unemployment and times of waiting for employee prescription insurance coverage!!!! GoodRx is truly a financial lifesaver during hard times and can even save you money against your regular insurance so always compare prices with GoodRx before filling any new medications!

For about a decade now, I’ve been using this internet site and app as my go-to expert consultant for strait forward information about the meds I take, normal dosing parameters, potential side-effects, alternate drug options, and price comparison. The app informs me of various options for the meds I depend upon, and it lets me know when genetics become available, where to shop when my health plan options are more costly, and helps me formulate practical questions to ask my pharmacist, insurance carrier, and my primary care doc. It lets me have more control over the choices I make for my own health and well-being. I no longer depend solely on my doctor and pharmacist, because GoodRx has become my “outside-the-box” expert advisor, which lets me take a more active role in my own health choices. Over time I’ve been able to try different newer med combination options to discover which regimen seems to work best for me at a lower, more reasonable cost. This would not have been possible had there not been a readily available expert advisor like GoodRx.

I don’t typically submit ratings for apps, but this app is the one app I tell EVERYone about. I have saved so much money on prescriptions through GoodRX. There were a few years that I had no insurance, and due to chronic health issues I needed medication that was quiet expensive, but because of the amazing discounts through using GoodRX I was always able to get the medication. Even now, with insurance, in some instances the GoodRX price is still less than the price with insurance. And GoodRX provides more than just discounts on medication, it also provides information on patient assistance programs offered by various pharmaceutical company’s or organizations that you can use to get medication for a much deeper discounted price or free. GoodRx can save your list of medications which is very handy, and you can see the different images and manufacturer’s that make the medication. GoodRx also gives you important information and/or warnings to be aware of with a specific medication and any current news worthy notes you should be aware of. GoodRx even gives you a list of alternative medications which is helpful if you should need to make a change in medication, but still need it to serve a specific issue. Generic drugs, although they treat the same issue, can have different ingredients, so one may work better for you than another. With GoodRx you get all of the information you need in one easy to use app. I have told many friends, and strangers, about GoodRx. I also am sure to tell any doctor I come in contact with about how great GoodRx is so they can feel confident in passing it on to their patients. This is an app everyone should have and use, and it’s free too! They offer a subscription, but you aren’t pressured to subscribe and not subscribing doesn’t change the usefulness of this app. It is truly an amazing app. Thank you for making it so easy to get and incredibly easy to use!!

From scraping pennies together in college to real ongoing mental health maintenance; trying to hold it together as you get to the point in your health journey of dollar signs to see if you can now “afford” the medication you’ve been prescribed…. GoodRX is like, that hug you need right then, and beyond that… it’s that true “American” idea where all is just and free that you really see no one doing anywhere else here. I actually have *Gold* GoodRx and in place of addtl prescription riders on my health insurance as it always beats everything I pay $$$ for. It’s kind of unbelievable and a huge testament to this company, that over a decade later it’s still the same god send as it was when I first discovered it. It was actually a pharmacist who saw I couldn’t afford the ~$300 script; one GoodRX coupon and my eyes in disbelief later, it was like $8. Changed my views on MHC and affordability. Recommend to any and everyone who needs it, which is any and everyone. Thank you GoodRX, from the bottom of my heart-!

GoodRx has saved me a BUNDLE, and I don’t know where I would be without it! I have several severe medical issues, including rare genetic disorders, autoimmune diseases and complex medical conditions, all of which require medication(s) to manage their progression and/or symptoms. Without GOOD Rx, my meds would cost me a MINIMUM of $2,200-$2,700 per month, and that’s WITH my Rx insurance coverage!!! Using GoodRx, I pay between $325-$400 per month!! WOW! Without GoodRx, I would be unable to afford a majority of my medications; as a result, I would be hospitalized and suffering severe pain constantly. GoodRx has literally saved me from having to be hospitalized. I can’t praise GoodRx enough! Note: For those of you on maintenance medications (e.g. thyroid, heart, blood pressure, and other monthly meds), you should ABSOLUTELY get your Rxs filled in a 3mo quantity, as the savings for 3mo quantities are EVEN BETTER than the monthly savings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GoodRx to everyone, regardless of your insurance coverage. GoodRx is a LIFESAVER!!!

I don’t know how they do it but OMG it works!! I needed an eczema cream for a small spot on my foot. My dermatologist called in an ointment to CVS. My insurance did not cover it & would have cost me $233. I don’t have $233 to blow on a med that might not work so I had dr call in something else. Once again new script was not covered by insurance and would have cost $180. A nurse friend recommended trying this app and months later after the eczema spread and became painful did I finally try. I called CVS to find out the name of the meds, typed them into the app & long story short, RiteAid has it for the lowest price, $27 for the first script, ( the 2nd one Dr called in was more expensive). I called RiteAid, they called CVS to transfer the script & when I picked it up I brought my phone with the GoodRx info & it only cost me $12!!! I SAVED $221. How??? I don’t know & I don’t care but from now on when I go to any doctor and they call in a medicine, I will ask what it is, CHECK THE APP, then tell them where to call it so I can get the lowest price through GoodRX!!

Like the title says. This app literally saved me over $100 the first time I used it! No joke! I had to go to another pharmacy but it wasn’t a problem. When I first went to get some new meds filled, I was shocked that they were about $118. To us, that’s a lot. The young man, pharmacy tech saw that in our eyes, and said “That’s a lot of money, most doctors have no idea how much these meds cost!” We just didn’t have the money for that and were kind of embarrassed, he saw that too. So on he went, “Maybe you could get these later and check out this app called Good Rx, I’ve seen people save 30 bucks, 40, even $100 once, that was crazy! Can’t promise anything but it’s worth checking out.” Relieved I nodded and said “yes thank you! I will definitely check that out.” We left and downloaded the app and did find the SAME meds a little over $100 less than without the app! That saved me from not being able to buy my meds, to, buying them and having money left over! GoodRx IS great!

I have new prescription insurance. I’ve had two instances since January where my insurance required prior authorization. One medication I was already on for a year prior to the new insurance. The new insurance wanted a prior authorization and would only dispense one month at a time – as previous insurance allowed a three month supply of this medication. I ended up using Good RX and got my three month supply of medication at half the cost that I would’ve been paying with my new insurance and no prior authorization. Same medication. Second instance was – I sustained a rib fracture that I was taking Tylenol with codeine. To try a medicine that was not a narcotic, my doctor ordered Lidoderm patch. Here I am on a Friday at 4:30 PM and my insurance needs a prior authorization. If I had the prescription filled without The prior authorization they would’ve charged me $200! I got the prescription filled at Pick And Save using Good RX and got it filled for $45 -same day as ordered.

At first I was not sure this was even legitimate. However, I decided what did I have to lose. My script was going to cost me over five hundred dollars, and I certainly could not afford that. My prescription insurance did not have my drug in their formulary. Looked it up on the Good Rx app and found it would be around one hundred with the coupon. I had the doctor send a new prescription and when I went to pick up, I handed them my phone with the coupon codes. Much to my surprise it all worked and I got the meds for the price shown in Good Rx. Since, I have used it to check prices on all my drugs. Had a second one that was expensive so I did a coupon for that in the app, and it worked as described and I saved money over my prescription insurance. I recommend everyone get the Good Rx app and start saving money too. This is an amazing app. It even notifies you of price changes in any of your meds!! Amazing—you will be amazed too!

In several instances GoodRX costs are below my copay cost of medications in my prescription drug program, i. e. medicare plan D. This concerns me greatly as shouldn’t one’s plan D program drug costs be negotiated for lower costs for their customers? Are is it that these programs are cartels keeping drug costs high to enrich the companies at the expense of retired persons who have the most accumulated wealth in the US than any other group collectively? Thus, another means of wealth transfer from seniors to drug manufacturers and insurance companies. Or are the laws structured in the United States written and devised to benefit drug manufactures and insurance companies from competitively bidding and crossing state lines? Many of these drugs are distributed in other countries at extremely lower costs than what it cost US citizens. I have not used GoodRX as of yet. However, I’m looking forward to using it in 2018 and the challenge of lowering my prescription costs. Thank you to the stakeholders of GoodRX for your collaborative efforts in the development of this app.

Had problem with CVS pharmacy accepting coupon; called your help line for assistance; GoodRx agent was well Informed, courteous, patient , and demonstrated willingness to help me; she spoke with pharmacy tech to resolve the issue. Despite excellent help from your agent and pharmacy tech reaching resolution that satisfied my coupon, the pharmacy tech did not fill my Rx as it was written and overcharged me. After a 50 minute discussion and wait, I accepted the 3ml btl of bimatoprost (15 day supply) despite the Rx for 30 day supply which would be the 5 ml btl which was exactly the coupon I had, my Drs Rx, and your agent supported. To continue protest with pharmacy tech was exhaustive and disregard for other patients waiting for their meds was not appropriate . I will not be using CVS again. My Rx was filled incorrectly resulting in overpayment even with GoodRx coupon! Thought you should know about CVS disregard for coupon and incorrect prep of my Rx as well as excellent service by GoodRx agent! Respectfully, Patricia Jordan

As for the practicality and usefulness of this app, it’s great. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars. However I only came to write a review after reading another one of the “what’s new” updates. I just wanted to give props to whoever is in charge of running this part of the app. If you haven’t already, PLEASE take the time to read “what’s new” when there’s an update for this app, I promise you won’t be disappointed. 99% of apps will just say something basic like “bug fixes” for each update. However the last few times I’ve looked at GoodRX’s “what’s new” it’s always a hilarious story tied into what is in the update. The most recent being the connection of telehealth to Wonkavision.. that’s so funny and creative! Whoever you are you may have a future in creative writing/blogging if this current role doesn’t work out for you. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for bringing humor into the world of pesky apps and updates, and thanks for the laughs!

GoodRx has been great!! I'm so glad that one of my doctors had recommended it to me a couple years ago. My insurance company would not cover one of my medications and that is when my doctor asked if I was familiar with GoodRx. It immediately saved me about $70 just on that one medication . I use it with Kroger Pharmacy and I've never had any issues with it. I now use it for many of my medications because it often pays more than the price that my insurance will. I also sign up for notifications from GoodRx because sometimes they will have a price change on one of your meds and it may be even lower . If Kroger rings it up and the it happens to be more than what I am showing , I can just show Kroger the new GoodRx card with the new price, they type in the number on it and they've always honored the price it states! I'm grateful that GoodRx is such a huge help with the cost of my medicines!

Was skeptical at first because my pharmacy had rejected any discount cards previously. I lost my insurance through a mix up with Medicare and needed help with my prescription s my Dr recommended good rx and boy was I shocked when many were lower than my Medicare part ins. One statin drug was one of the first I used it on and it went from $241 to like $9 RV or somewhere in the very low dollar amount. What a delight and relief. I got my insurance back after 3 months but I still use good Rx because it is not applied to insurance claims that can easily cap out and no longer pay much if any copay. I have literally saved hundreds in that 3 months time maybe more. I would have been financially devastated if not for my Dr recommending good rx. It is legitimate and a godsend and the items not covered under insurance like many are , it always covers them. Wish I had found out sooner because I spent thousands over the years unnecessarily. I love how the app it set up, I use Walmart and they scan it off my phone and it is permanently stored in their database . On some occasions I check to make sure they are giving me the latest updates, it aerms to update the savings each time the cover changes and they may charge me the original savings but not the new discount good rx extends to me. So I just tell them that it’s $5 lower now or whatever and they correct it. Good rx does everything right , and my wife and I don’t understand how they do this for FREE! But they do and I am so grateful to them for that. I have looked at other discounts that are legit but the savings never beats good rc. I will suggest to everyone insured or not to get lost the app. Nothing to lose but 2 minutes time and unbelievable savings for as long as you use them. I want to emphasize how easy and hassle free it really is because I am not one to watch everything very close all the time i just know it simple ands saves everyone money, foolish not to get it because one is throwing money away when they don’t have to. Get it folks , it really really works!

I have a sleeping problem and I have been trying all sorts of stuff that works a bit then stop so my doctor prescribed me Lunesta instead. I went to Walgreens to pick it up, was over 300$ for 30 1mg tablets then with my insurance it was like 200$, so opened my GoodRx app and now it was 100$ and I've never had the med yet so was like nope not paying that, and asked why are y'all so high compared to the other GoodRx prices and they said something about they're always higher than their competitors with GoodRx or any prescription savings discount card so that let me know not to go to them anymore lol. Albertsons or Costco it is from now on. The price was $24 with GoodRx...Thank You!!!😃

GoodRx advertises savings on drugs not covered by insurance and their pricing is lower than the cost of the drug to the pharmacy. One has to ask why would a pharmacy sign up to lose money. Big Y Foods pharmacy answer I found out was that they did not sign up with GoodRx. CVS answer was we will not honor the GoodRx price but they referred me to Walgreen who would honor the price but first needed the prescription to verify the price. They tried to have the prescription transferred from a Walmart pharmacy and had a problem but never contacted me. I called and they explained why they did not have the prescription. I told them how to fix the issue and reminded them not to order the prescription until they quoted me a price. I stopped by Walgreen’s pharmacy a few days later and found they ordered me the name brand drug for $1,000. GoodRx quotes Walgreens’ at $177. I declined the name brand drug and they then ordered the generic. While I was there I had the store clerk quickly verify the GoodRx price and he placed the order for the next day. I am puzzled why they couldn’t verify the price of the generic over the phone initially? But perseverance of multiple phone calls, confusion about prescription transfer, filling a prescription incorrectly but the end result was I saved $473. GoodRx is not easy but if you have the time and energy for quite a run around you too can save money with GoodRx.

I do not have health insurance. because of this, a visit with my primary care runs me about $100. goodRX offers telehealth appointments for every day issues for $49, and i use this service often. i had an appointment yesterday where i requested a specific medication through their questionnaire, as it is the only medication that works to treat the particular health issue i was experiencing. i have been prescribed this same medication numerous times by both my primary care doctor, as well as GoodRx. for whatever reason, this time they refused to prescribe it due to a potential drug interaction with one of my anxiety medications. this is not medication i am required to take daily, and i made their team aware of this. with no safety issue present, i should have received the medication i asked for, but they still refused. the entire reason i paid the $49 was for same day medication pick up, but their team did not respond for seven hours (long after my pharmacy had closed) to let me know they would not change the medication. now, it’s the next day and my pharmacy does not have what they prescribed me in stock and do not know when it will be in stock. i have made their team aware of this, but i’m sure i won’t receive a response for another several hours, if at all. i paid $49 to be ignored by the team that was supposed to be providing assistance, and to be refused the same medication that i have been prescribed by the same team before. there are enough issues with healthcare in this country, and this was extremely disappointing. i did not receive the medical care i paid for, and i will be disputing it with my bank. do better.

Normally I don’t write reviews, but I recently saw several commercials about this website and just couldn’t let good people become victims of this scam. As someone who works in a pharmaceutical setting, i can tell you for sure that by using this you are putting your personal information at risk. When a pharmacy bills an insurance, they provide them with a lot more than just your name and the prescription. And normally in medical settings this is protected by law, but goodrx is not directly part of this. They are an advertising company and have no obligation. But by using these coupons, you are essentially giving them a golden pass to ALL your information. No questions asked. They are free to sell them as “assets”. They say they won’t sell your medical info or info YOU provide them, but there are ways to strip information from medical data and sell them. And they could sell the info the pharmacy gives them. Oh, and by accepting these cards, not only does this reduce the price below the actual manufacturers cost, it also charges the pharmacy a “processing fee”. This is like going into a restaurant and showing a coupon for a $2 burger (which may cost the restaurant 10) then telling them that they also owe the coupon manufacturer a $45 fee for them to look at it. It’s all ridiculous and no self respecting honest pharmacist would ever take one. It’s a lose lose on all sides except for goodrx which is lining their pockets from an already broken system. Please please please don’t use this. If not to keep the system from breaking further, then for your own sake. Don’t use this

The Costco in Memphis Tennessee doesn’t honor the price posted on the Bogus RX app even after telling me over the phone they do. After being informed over the phone by Costco that they would honor the price I told them to go ahead and fill the prescription. When I go to pick up the prescription I find that they would not honor the price however they did discount it some. It was the last refill remaining on the prescription and being tired of being misled and lied to I decided to give Kroger to shot at honoring the price. Of course Kroger like other pharmacies in the area I live in require prescription be transfers to them before they will give you a price. How convenient! And of course Costco counted the prescription I did not pick up as the final refill and there wonderful automated personal high-quality automated service text me and asked me if I would like for them to contact my doctor. I said yes and then ask Kroger to have the prescription transferred to them. That was three days ago and I still haven’t heard a word from Kroger. Kroger did admit to me that they have to have the prescription before they could give me a price and that it doesn’t always match what the app says that they will sell it for. More smoke and mirrors, more bait and switch. Don’t waste your time with this app!

Update: after posting this I was sent an email that 1. Reiterated that no one on their staffs knows anything about trans people. And 2. That they will say they will reach out to you and the. Do absolutely nothing. As a reminder: still illegal. But glad to have more proof in writing. Beware, if you are trying to talk to a Dr via GoodRXCare, you have to do an intake form that will automatically reject you if either the sex on your profile or ID don’t match the medical issue. Doesn’t matter that they ask for your sex assigned at birth, apparently they don’t actually do anything with this information. There is no way to dispute this or to speak to a competent medical provider to explain in a timely manner. The help chat is absolutely useless because they will not read your messages, they just parrot the same form answer that they will not see or treat you. After 5 days of trying to explain to them the issue I was finally able to reach someone by phone. They were completely unaware of how to bypass this issue or how to allow you to speak with a Dr. directly to clarify the situation. So you get stuck in AI triage limbo with no way to access care that you qualify for. Beyond being idiotic this is also illegal.

I downloaded Goodrx in October 2022 because I was moving states and needed a temporary birth control refill. They helped me with no issue. Fast forward to August 2023 and I’m in need of a birth control refill again because I moved back home. The nurse I was connected with told me that legally they can only prescribe me progestin only birth control because I have migraines. This was not an issue/brought up in 2022. I asked if progestin only was less effective for treating PCOS because thats why I take birth control. She said it was. Then she proceeded to just end the chat support and never responded to me. I just wanted to know if I would be experiencing any amplified PCOS symptoms on progestin only. I still wanted the medication the nurse said I could have but again, she ended the chat support on me. I live an hour from the nearest Planned Parenthood clinic but thankfully they offer telehealth services now and could prescribe me medications the same day. Goodrx charged me $19 for an appointment where I got literally no help and the customer support email never responded to me asking them why the nurse offered me a medication, JUST to end my appointment and left me with nothing. I won’t ever use or recommend this product to anyone.

Beyond disappointed in this company and the way I have been treated. I have had my RX canceled five times. What they don’t realize is that if you are not an advocate for yourself you won’t get your medicine. It’s a real shame that their technology is good from a consumer facing position but so is Pizza Huts. These aren’t pizzas, these are RX. There are no supervisors available and their contact is all done through emails with no way for them to call their partners that fill their RX on their behalf. They use a company called True Pill. When I called them they seemed confused as well too. The people that answer the phones are very nice. It’s interesting how they say you are being transferred to a human being. Wonderful, except they can give answers. The only call I got back was at 6:00 AM. Their software isn’t even good enough to determine that I am on the west coast and they should wait to call and not wake people up. Today is Jan 20 and my order was from two weeks ago and it’s still not filled. All they tell you is we are sorry for the inconvenience. Not delivering meds is more than an inconvenience. They should shut their ops down until they fix this problem. Pretty scary that they are operating in this manner.

While it is true that GoodRx will get you a much better price on prescriptions than you would get from The Cartel at full price, after using the coupons about 20 times, the price on the coupon has never been accurate in my experience. Most have only been a dollar or so higher than the coupon price, but a handful of times I have been told by pharmacists that the true price with the coupon is as much as 20 Times the price on the coupon. That was after downloading the coupon just minutes before trying to use it. Two pharmacists have told me that they have never seen GoodRx prices accurate at the point of sale. I use another app as well (won’t name because I don’t want to make this review appear to be an endorsement) and the prices have always been accurate. I will say that Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug offers all my prescriptions at a lower prices and with total transparency regarding the price. I would encourage people to try MCCPD before resorting to coupons, and I would also encourage people to download other coupon apps.

The customer service rep was not concerned with the issue I was having. She made it very clear that all she cared about was getting me to sign up for another month of the Gold membership. I happened to forget to cancel my free trial, which I didn’t even use during the free month, so I called the 800 number and was on the phone for 10 minutes with her. And even after everything was said and done, she said that she was sorry that she couldn’t give me a refund for the upcoming charge (of the free trial that ended). I’m assuming it was because she wasted her time trying to sell me something I was clearly not interested in. I DIDN’T EVEN USE THE SERVICE WHEN IT WAS A TRIAL, why would I want it now? I was trying to be polite and just let this go but this was just too much (10 MINUTES on the phone of trying to sell me something) for a $9.99 refund that I won’t even be getting back now. Nothing wrong with the app itself, but, customer service was NOT helpful, at ALL. 😑

I have been taking Synthroid for low thyroid for 30+ years. Thyroid medications must be taken in consistent doses at the same time (s) daily or the patient will experience side effects. Like many others I cannot take the generic alternative because the 25% variance that the FDA allows wreaks havoc from month to month as the dosages vary up to 25% above and below my prescribed dosage. A male co-worker agonized over his wife’s health issues for over a year. When I asked what her issues were, he said ‘it changes almost monthly. One month she is fine, the next she is depressed and tired, the next her heart is racing and she is angry and anxious. Plus her weight goes up & down so she is upset over that as well.’. Recognizing the symptoms, I asked if she takes thyroid medication & whether she takes generic meds.’. He answered yes to both. Long story short, his wife changed doctors, was prescribed Synthroid brand with a no generics stipulation and a couple weeks later husband and wife were happy. He continued to thank me regularly for the next few years for helping him get his happy wife back. Bottom line: choose brand vs. generic wisely.
