FileBrowser: Documents Manager App Comments & Reviews

FileBrowser: Documents Manager Positive Reviews

Great for Power UsersThis app offers a host of features that make file management from anywhere a breeze. The suite of options lives within an interface that is clean and intuitive. I use this app frequently to transfer files between my computer and phone, watch movies, and more, and I can say that it is well worth the price. Even having used this app for a little over a year, I can only find two real issues with it: one, there is no way to transfer a bunch of pictures and videos to your camera roll at once; instead, you have to save each one by one. This makes sharing photos tedious and time consuming, but should be an easy fix for future updates. And two, the integrated video player feels clunky. The skip forward/backward buttons can’t be configured, and they snap to the nearest keyframe of video. This means that you could press the button to rewind 1 second and end up many seconds back, or even a few seconds ahead of, where you were before. Additionally, the video scrubbing bar sometimes doesn’t show up and is very sensitive when it does. And the subtitle font is readable but gargantuan, and it cannot be changed is settings. A dedicated video player - even the one built into the Photos app - can work around these limitations if they are too bothersome. I don’t mean to discourage anyone from buying this app, I only want to offer ways to further improve it Edit: clarity.Version: 15.5

Great file manager!I have been using this app for years. Recently I belatedly found that I could also access the files on my PC. So right in front of me I have access to my network server, my PC, and my Dropbox files. It is interesting that photos on the iPad show up as actual files within FileBrowser that can be treated as any other file instead of having to go to the more limiting iOS Photos app. FB also has a built in server which allows other devices to exchange files with you independent of platform, such as a PC. Outstanding attention to functionality! Here is where I have been very surprised. Apple introduced their Files app recently, iOS 11. It is their first attempt at a file manager. It is limited. What is interesting is that when users want to open a file from within an app like Pages, their new file manager opens where the file can be selected. FileBrowser shows up as a selection. If you make that selection, when FileBrowser is running, you have access to all the locations for files that you have when you are in that this FB app. The locations are displayed as directories. This includes files on the PC, online storage like Dropbox, and your network servers. This is quite an enhancement for the Apples Files app. So I can open a file on my PC from within Pages or other iOS apps. This is very nice indeed!.Version: 11.8

Finally a real file manager..,I’m new to Apple products. I bought an iPad Air 3. I was having learning curve problems. I couldn’t get files moved to where I wanted, causing me a lot of grief. I tried many file managers, The one that came with the IPad was just about worthless for my needs. After a month and a half of fooling around with different apps, finally FB file manager answered all my file transferred needs. This app has just about every file transfer function anyone needs. I turned on the operational hints to help me navigate through the options. I was able to connect two NAS servers and get my videos easily transferred from an attached USB flash drive into an email as an attachment with very little trouble. I take my hay off to the FB app developers. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a solid file management app. Good Job!.Version: 20.7

A Must For iPhoneThis is exactly what I needed to transfer documents from my Files app to my PC (Windows 8). At first it looks kind of complicated but there are several websites that have very detailed instructions on how to do everything.I followed step-by-step and when I finally figured out how to do it, I felt so relieved. This app is amazing and a must have for your phone. It handles pictures and the Files app extremely well. I didn’t have any trouble with multiple files or files within files or any kind of format; whatever was on my phone, I watched seamlessly transfer to my computer. I was a little thrown at first by the price, but the reviews letting me to get it. I am so glad I did, I don’t know how I managed before but I know it was much more complicated..Version: 20.40

Solved big iPad IOS iCloud problemYour IOS devises can have large storage. My iPad Pro is 500gb. Much of this does not need to be backed up to iCloud even though I want these large files on my iPad. You would think that “on my iPad” would not backup to iCloud but it does. The only thing you can individually turn off from iCloud backups is an app. But if you turn off the Apple File app you lose the ability to have shared files between all your Apple devise's. Filebrowser lets you put these big files in this app. Not you can turn off this app in iCloud backup so all the key data that changes everyday on contacts, phone numbers, calendar etc will be backed up and synced with a much smaller iCloud storage than your 500gb SSD on your devise. Thank you for a great fix..Version: 20.35

Do not d/l any other but this one! This is the best file manager to manage LOCAL files. I connect to my pc or Mac from my local personal home network. Was able to copy folder past onto iPad. From there had access to the folder. Was able to adjust size of thumb nails of photos in the folder via pinch jester. I tried several other programs that just don’t work. This program is a MUST for file management. This program saved me in Vietnam when I didn’t have access to laptop. I had to borrow someone else’s laptop copy files professional photographers photos from usb drive to laptop then access that laptop via this program get the folders copied to my iPad. Then wipe the photos from the borrowed laptop return laptop 20 min later. This program is a MUST have. Thank you SO much for writing it..Version: 15.5

Just what I needed, plus moreAfter a scare at losing data after a pc disc crash, I wanted to secure my family photos on my iPad, where backups are automatic. I downloaded my photo files, but found that saving/sharing had a glitch: the Apple transfer options scrambled the order of the photo files. Seeing grandma in London, then in Pittsburg just didn’t work for me. If only I could access the photo files directly, and essentially create an album, they would stay in the original order. Enter filebrowser. Another user, who had a more sophisticated problem, discovered that he could use filebrowser to fit his issue. I checked it out, and found it would do exactly what I wanted, plus it had the ability to manage multiple file sources, and had extra resources, which I have yet to evaluate, but look forward to it. Being able to check out all my photos, in whatever file they reside, and call up a slideshow that can be easily cast to a large screen tv, is easily worth the one time price of this app. I expect the other features substantially increase its value. I plan to check back later to update this review, but right now, five stars. Tom Clancy, signing off.Version: 24.3

Portable Seamless AccessOnce you become accustomed to the interface, using FileBrowser is like running any other app on your device, whether that's a phone, tablet or a computer so don't let a brief learning curve get in the way of portable seamless access to your digital life in ways you might not imagine. It has so many uses, from watching video that's (hosted) on your computer with a hand held device that frees you up to move away from your computer (to a more comfortable setting and does so without cluttering your device's limited storage capacity) to sharing files on social media WITHOUT storing those files on your device. Being able to create Bookmarks to specific file sets on different devices and drives is a great time saver and helps you stay focused on personal goals. I can't wait to discover the next new way I put FileBrowser to use. My 'go-to' computer is a 27 inch iMac, just to put (lack of) portability into some frame of reference which is to say that if you like having portable hand held access to your stuff without carrying around your computer and all connected drives, then you owe it to yourself to check out FileBrowser..Version: 9.7

File exchangeThis app allows me to exchange files across my iOS, OS, Windows 10 & XP platforms using my in-house WiFi network. One frequent thing I do is take a picture with my iPhone and within seconds get it onto to my Win 10 machine, then into PhotoShop for whatever. The results out of PhotoShop are then saved on the SSD and available to all WiFi devices. Another frequent use is exchange of business files between my Win 10 and XP machines. Those two platforms no longer communicate well. FB solves the problem. Before discovering FB I would use email with attachments for this. Hardware wise I have an SSD connected (ethernet) to an Apple Time Capsule. This SSD becomes the file central repository that all devices, via FileBrowser, connect to. FunctionalIy it's similar to DropBox but more user friendly, it's faster, no login required, it's in-house, and not as operating system invasive. Like once installed, just try removing DropBox from your computer(s). Good luck. I also have a 2nd SSD connected the same way, used for backup of the primary. Backup is automated and scheduled using ChronSync. I no longer have any reason to use DropBox..Version: 9.7

The one essential and best app in the iOS ecosystemI can’t even begin to describe my admiration for these developers. First of all, the app is immeasurably useful, and I use it many, many times every day. File management for a dozen computers in numerous networks and platforms, advanced functions such as multiple file and folder renames based on advanced search & replace, etc. countless features for the most advanced of power-users. In addition, they have implemented dozens of my feature requests over the years, including some quite obscure; I’m an avid QA analyst and the developers have sincerely considered and implemented features and tweaks for many issues I have discovered. They’re among the most responsive and accommodating devs I’ve ever seen. A recent update addresses a bug that affects iPhone 4! That’s how dedicated they are. I can’t imagine any other developer who does this; most would simply regard that device as too old to warrant any attention. I see this software growing more and more over the years and continuing to serve more needs and integrate more operability on the iOS platform..Version: 20.45

Terrific App and Superior Tech SupportWe bought FileBrowser to allow remote access to our music library on the road. It works perfectly for that. The software also allows us to read .pdf and other files without the hassle of copying to the iPad. We ran into problems getting the software set-up for remote access but tech support worked with us through the entire process. Turns out the iPhone defaults to use WiFi instead of the cellular carrier. That allowed remote access at home but lost it on the road. Now that we know to turn off WiFi first, everything works fine. Tech support stuck with us even though it was not an app problem. Terrific customer service!.Version: 20.7

They screwed something upNot sure when, as I do not often transfer mp4 files. But when I first got this app the transfer and playback were fine. More recently however I have found that video files transferred to the iPad are damaged in some way. It’s as if only a fraction of frames per second are playing, resulting in sloppy playback that is painful to watch (and might induce seizures in some people). Since it didn’t used to behave like this I can only assume that the developers broke something and haven’t fixed it. Do not buy this app if you want to use it to transfer and play home videos. Right now it’s only useful for photos or documents..Version: 23.16

Solved the file management issue with iOS long before AppleI’ve been using File Browser now for over five years now and it solve all the local file sharing issues between my home computer and my iOS devices. Even after Apple add some file management capabilities to iOS, I find this app is so feature rich that I will still use it over iOS’s limited file management options. File Browser lets me easily save or access files on my local network connected computer from my iPad and iPhone directly, and has for many years now. Stratopherix is routinely adding new features to the app and keeps it updated. I’ve had no issues with this app whatsoever..Version: 16.0

FIXED: Doesn’t work with MacOS Server Local Network UsersWith MacOS Server (High Sierra and Server App 5.4), FileBrowser is unable to access shared volumes made available via File Sharing for Local Network Users (users that cannot log into the server but have accounts setup via the Server app to access services on the server). This issue greatly reduces the usability of the app for our purposes. The interoperability issue may exist with other versions of MacOS and/or the Server app. Access to shares of Local Users (users that can log in the server, such as our IT administrator) appears to work fine. I am not sure if the issue is with FileBrowser app or with how Apple keeps adjusting/deprecating file serving features of MacOS. If anyone from Stratospherix can comment on whether this is a known issue, a known incompatibility, or if this is a bug that is being worked on, I would be most appreciative. EDIT: Thank you Stratospherix for providing support regarding Apple’s switch to SMB and requirement for domain/workgroup. After updating file share credentials, all works well. Back to five stars!.Version: 12.1

Hands Down the Best iOS File BrowserI have been using File Browser nearly since it’s beginnings and it is absolutely the most efficient and effective browser made for iOS devices. It handles local, cloud, and NAS file systems effortlessly. The user interface is straightforward and logical. I have yet to find anything that I need to do with a file that isn’t handled by this awesome app. AND to top it all off this app and it’s developers DO NOT COLLECT any data from my devices, the files on my system, or any of my activity. This is a major PLUS for an iOS app. Thank you, thank you, thank you for producing such a reliable and secure utility app..Version: 20.30

Really improved in the last year!I have had the application for awhile - it was “okay”. Recently the developer has really stepped it up. If you have a server (multiple here) where you keep files the App has grown into a very useful tool. The user interface is pretty good and it’s capabilities have really grown to where this VERY useful in our home. It is how I manage files on my home servers. It has become very simple to share files from it to others as well. Well done little app - if you need to manage files. Not drag and drop easy on my older devices, new iPads are needed for that, but “it just works” like apps for Apple products are supposed to..Version: 20.2

Keeps getting betterI’ve been using FB for a number of years and it just keeps getting better with every release. Makes it so easy to connect to networked computers and drives. I love that it can show a “Folder” view even for DLNA devices where other apps only show a “Library” view. One improvement that i hope they can make is to address lost connections. For example, if I pause playback of an MP3 file on a network drive for more than a few minutes, the connection is lost. On reconnecting, the App doesn’t remember the file or file path being accessed. A refresh option to reestablish the connection would be great..Version: 20.10

Been looking for this for YEARS!I actually got two apps after searching for apps that will allow SMB connections. THIS is the one! Having access to all my drives from my iPad is great. AND if you have an Apple TV, there is a version for it also. Being a photographer it’s nice to see my images on my 4K tv. Reads all my Canon raw files! The ONLY thing that I’m not sure about for the iPad version is the menu tab for “iCloud”. It does not show my iClouds files. I have looked at all the documentation and really see nothing referring to iCloud. I see how to add stuff like Box, DropBox, One Drive, etc., but nothing for iCloud. Developer, am I missing something? NOT a biggie but I am curious..Version: 14.8

Best file mgrFileBrowser can move files from just about anywhere to ... wherever or whatever app your iOS device can touch. It is also one of the better music file managers - especially if you want an iOS alternative to iTunes, or need to stream music from the cloud or off of a NAS. The most notable, and most irritating, exception to the usefulness if FileBrowser is the limited access it has to iCloud. I expect that this is an Apple issue - sandboxes and greed being what they are these days. Well, my work-around is to store files somewhere other than iCloud if I think I might need the mobility... sorry, Apple but, like Microsoft, you guys just don’t really have your users foremost in your plans. With time, users learn..Version: 11.8

Excellent Cross Platform Solution!Get this app! Best solution I’ve found to display pc files on my Apple TV (4th generation) as well as your iPhone and iPad. Plus Filebrowser provides a slideshow feature for your photos and also streams your videos. My pc’s are running Linux which I use for network shares which I can now access using Filebrowser on both my iPhone and iPad. Very easy to setup plus excellent instructions are provided to setup a free Zerotier One VPN connection so your files are also available when you’re away from home. And the best part... excellent support! I emailed a question one afternoon and had a response the next morning..Version: 11.3

Shocking capabilityI was skeptical of an app that seemed to do what I wanted to do with files on an iPad, and obviously the Apple version of files was completely inadequate. This application deserves to be al default application in terms of its ability to share files like a true computer. You can browse your computer as if your there, you can drag your iPad down and play a video file on your computer and stream it to your iPad anywhere in the same WiFi range without actually transferring it at all. I’m in complete awe of this app. If they could find a way to actually run programs that would just be the absolute nuts..Version: 12.10

Fantastic works very well and reliably and easy to setupGreat app I use it for accessing my network storage setups and it works great very fast so simple to use and setup I think my grandma could do it. I love that I can sign in with touch id the only complaint I have is that when setting up network storage at least to windows is that when signing in if the storage server does not have a password there is no button that says does not have a password but I figured out if I hit connect without imputing anything it would work anyways otherwise a fantastic app definitely recommended..Version: 13.3

Please Add Background App refresh SupportLove this app, but if I wanted to copy a file from my computer to my iPad or iPhone while the screen is off the transfer will not finish or take forever. Other apps liked FileExplorer Pro have this functionality were I can send a file to the iPad and let it finish in the background while the iPad screen is off. I don’t know how hard it’s to enable this option, but it would be my favorite app if this option would be enabled. Also, when you transfer a file, you can’t really use the app since the info banner is in the middle of the screen. Please make that minimized so that you can still browse for file while copying in the background. Thanks!!!.Version: 14.1

Great File Share And Media PlayerApple iOS has never handled files very gracefully for some reason. This app solves that problem. I use it to save and access files on my iPad, iPhone, home network storage device, and my PC’s. It allows me to easily save files, copy files, and read the files. It has a very effective media player which seems to play all the media files I have and displays spreadsheets, pdf, and various text files. This is one app that I use a lot. I am very glad that they have maintained the app through the various iOS versions..Version: 13.0

If you want to share files between ios and pc, get this appFinally, a seamless and easy solution to share files between ios and Windows pc wirelessly without having to use Apple’s crappy iTunes or Files app. Definitely worth the money simply for the convenience. Apple and Microsoft should be ashamed for making it so difficult for their users. Thankfully 3rd party comes to the rescue with a properly designed solution. However, I only gave 4 stars because I’ve only used it for that single purpose. I will update to a 5 star or less depending on how it goes after a few months of use.Version: 23.1

The App That Completes The iPad Pro!This is the app that really completes the iPad Pro helping to make it a full fledge computer. Apple tried to get there with their Files app, which falls utterly short. This app fills the gap allowing me to truly manage my files across a myriad of sources included my NAS. Connecting to such sources is a complete breeze - it just works and is Very smooth. I didn’t want to have to have a an intermediary like a PC or Mac to transfer files from my NAS to my iPad and to manage iPad local files - and iTunes is abysmal. With this app, no other device is necessary..Version: 12.12

Airplay support degradedI've used this app for years, but recent updates have made it far less useful to me. My primary use for this app is to stream videos from a shared network drive to my Apple TV via Airplay. However, in recent updates the Airplay button in the app simply refers me to swipe up and use the Notification center Airplay button. Problem is, the Notification Center Airplay implementation only lets me "mirror", which means (1) the video comes through to my TV with a letterbox border, and (2)that I can't multitask on my iPad without disrupting the video on the TV. Please bring back useful Airplay functionality..Version: 11.3

Connects All Files TogetherThis app changes the way your iPhone functions. It's like having a MacBook to use next to your iPhone. You can access all the files you have on your PC and even do transfer between your Cloud accounts, just on your phone. It can play various media files, too. I haven't been able to test it on the office files yet. One question: It doesn't appear to be able to play WEBM files, which is understandable. Is there a plan to add this feature, in the future? :).Version: 14.3

Heat/Battery Drain IssuesI started using this app as my main file manager app for a couple of years however I've started using Documents 5 again because one of the recent updates has caused excessive heat and battery drain on my iPhone X as well as my iPad mini 5. The iPhone seems to get a little warm but the iPad however will suddenly get hot near the right side of the device. The battery drain occurs on both devices. This occurs until I close FileBrowser from the app switcher. Otherwise this is a great app and I'll change this review to 5 stars once this has been fixed and don't notice any issues for a few months..Version: 15.5

Great AppI was looking for a product that would allow access to the files on my home network PCs and external network storage. This product has worked without issue fir a number of years. I access photos, spreadsheets, documents and more through my iPad and iPhone. It now interfaces with the file function in iOS 11. One of the best apps. Updates have kept the product functional through a number of iOS releases..Version: 11.0

Depends on your intended applicationYou can access and manage your files remotely but it doesn’t want to stream video files without constant buffering and often times out file browser so I have to re-open the application and select the file again it is pretty unbearable. I got filebrowser to make sharing easier between pc and iOS so I could view my library from my main desktop without having to lug around hardrives. Their video player only seems to play mp4 file types. Also my WiFi network is ridiculous so it is definitely filebrowser underperforming..Version: 16.7

A rare “user-first” appSo many applications seem to design themselves around weird internal mandates or metrics that are at odds with what the user wants. They also seem to start branching out into other things and forget their core purpose. This app does exactly what I need it to and brings me back to the good old days when I can use something that serves and also doesn’t require a login. Also, actual patch notes! Happy to have paid for this..Version: 25.3

Always deliversThis app is my cup of coffee. More than 7 years of heavy non-stop work and it never ket me down or crashed. Stable and reliable. Every new update brings more powerful tools every time. Just what I need. It is my exclusive connection to the NAS , time capsule,PCs and MACs on my network. It is recommended for those who have a heavy loaded traffic of data across a network. Let alone its capabilities to connect to cloud services like Onedrive..Version: 15.2

Is there an easy way to jump back and forth from music player to file browser?I want to start listening to radio shows and document points where there are songs that I like which I am not able to do unless I am able to quickly leave and resume the player. Right now the only way is to play another song and then play the previous one but then I lose my place. They only way I can see progress is to turn my phone off and back on. Please add this ability.Version: 12.7

I wish I found this soonerThis app has made my life soooo much easier to move photos to and from my iPad and iPhone. I’m constantly getting the, Your ICloud is full or almost full. Getting files off my iPad and iPhone and then onto my NAS prior to this app I had to put them on my laptop then move to my NAS. Now I just put them directly via wirelessly and done. Really made file management easier for me as well as network files while using my iPad..Version: 12.1

Love this app. Exactly what I need. UPDATE on musicI’ve been using this app for years. Before Apple’s Files app existed. It is a bit better than that app in a few ways but I’m not doing a strict comparison now. I just like to have an alternative option that covers edge cases Files doesn’t. UPDATE Oh if you want an app specific for local music streaming app these developers have Music Streamer I’m trying that one out now. OLD; Request: Gapless audio (no pause between tracks) for audio playback..Version: 20.39

Wow! What I needed. Plus VoiceOver! This app is almost perfect. Not only does it have a good interface, it fully supports accessibility features like VoiceOver. That is seriously rare, and very helpful. And very, very appreciated. It is one of my “must-have“ apps, and I recommend it to anybody who has to manage files across multiple platforms using an iOS device. Overall, it's great. Well worth the price. Now, it even supports SFTP! That was the one thing I was missing..Version: 12.12

SMOOTH.. SMART.. SUPERB..Finally the power of a desktop browser, now in the palm of your hands. This app is truly one of the best designed, feature packed and supported app of it’s kind—PERIOD! Going into details about what this particular application can do is not necessary, you will definitely have time to find out for yourself. Just hurry up and download it and see for yourself, why it is I absolutely believe this will be the best app I download this year. CHECK IT OUT...Version: 12.10

Life SaverThanks for your wonderful and life saver App which is nothing what one may pay for it. I have 1 Macbook Pro and 3x1 TB WD External hard discs and with this App I have made a private network with all 4 devices plus Google Drive, and MS One Drive and all of them are working like a charm. I have one suggestion and request! Is there any possibility to add left or right swiping features to delete unwanted files or moving them? Would be highly appreciated 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👍.Version: 15.4

The best engineered, most important app I’ve gotNo other app comes close to the value FileBrowser gives me in bridging every corner of my digital universe. It allows me to move content across my Windows machines, my network, DropBox and my photos effortlessly and even delivered a solution to archive giant shared iCloud albums every other solution was choking on. If I could have only one app it would be this one..Version: 23.15

Excellent all-around utilityI have been using this software for quite some time now and found it to be an excellent all-around utility. Not only does it do what it says on the tin beautifully but it is easy to use and full featured. I also love the fact that it is updated frequently with new features. I can’t recommend it highly enough; it is a great buy and a great value..Version: 20.44

The best file manager app for all devicesVery powerful all features I need. Can easily recognize hard disks on the network like Apple Time Machine and WD My Cloud, etc. The search Wizard is great and finds any network drive easily. Keeps your files private. Only you can see it. Switching between different folders using (tabs) makes it very easy to copy, paste, move, delete, etc..Version: 20.44

File sharing rocksI love having all of my file share locations located in one easy spot on my iPad. Since iOS 14 I have not been able to access some of my SMB shares through the standard files app, but through file browser I can still access them. I also love the fact that I can play my audio files across the network without having to log them into iTunes. This app is awesome!.Version: 20.15

Fantastic!I’ve been using this app for years and highly recommend it. I had a problem with an old FlashDrive where all files showed the current date. I contacted the dev, had a reply the same day, and learned that the problem was that old device didn’t store the date info! The customer service was just as great as the app itself..Version: 25.6

All Good...After perusing the category that would allow me to connect to my NAS, chose this one. Had a more complicated than standard setup issue, contacted support, within 24 hours they had responded and had me up and running. Cool app and support to match. Kudos! Update: This still continues to be an indispensable app AND the updates continue to improve TRULY meaningful things... not just fluff stuff. Great job whoever it is leading and coding this project..Version: 11.8

Unbeatable supportEven if I'm not a commercial client, I had a super support from Nathan. Using a VPN based on PPTP protocol until Apple dicontinued supporting it on my iPhone/iPad, I was extremely satisfied with the easy reach to my home pc file arborescence and I was using it extensively through my LAN (close to my router) and here and there over cellular network (over the internet for distant connection). After Apple discontinued supporting PPTP protocol, Nathan came up with a new way to get a secure connection with my pc: ZeroTier VPN. It works magnificently and very securely on my iPhone/iPad. I recommend FileBrowser to everyone that needs to get access to their pc, either for file viewing/downloading, music listening, vewing video, etc. And it is free for personal use!.Version: 9.7

Best app ever to access your NAS from your iPhone and iPad.Great App. When I’m at home, I have full access to my private network’s digital media..Version: 25.12

New design made it unusableFor some reason you've taken away the ability to choose to fit image on screen, only letting us fit height. so browsing though a bunch of photos CROPS the photo with the side cut off. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to swipe left or right to the next image. It just swipes around the now zoomed in on photo..Version: 26.4

Great App for Network Access. Could a visual upgrade.Great for accessig network drives. I use it to access my Windows SMB. It’s robust and I love the automatic return to position and easily accessible folder path bar, it can even open .html files locally. Improvements: Dark mode should attempt to apply white text on black background to textual files such as .pdf. Currently iOS Smart Invert works as a substitute for this feature. The word search in text files is very poorly optimized, not total results fractional counter, and the jump to position doesn’t work well with large text files, can be improved greatly..Version: 26.3

BugIn grid option with lot of photos, viewing a photo and get back, you lost where you were. Must use slide bar to retrieve your photo..Version: 26.0

Excellent file managerI use this app all the time to connect to all my different servers and Google Drive. It’s excellent! The built in viewers and players are a real bonus. First rate software!.Version: 25.12

Excellent AppThis app is easy to use and offers much versatility for both LAN and WAN access to a network. Definitely a must for the iPad/iPhone..Version: 25.10

More powerful than I realisedWhen a YouTuber I follow recommended this I thought it might be useful. At first I didn’t understand how it works. With a little consideration I figured out the logic and it made a world of difference. This is the most powerful file manager for Mac or iPad. It does some powerful stuff even over network drives and cloud drives. It has become a go to app for my file management. Highly recommend!.Version: 25.5

BrilliantI use it everyday. I can do all sorts without sitting at my computer.Version: 24.10

AwesomeStill years later amidts a plethora of options filebrowser remains my favorite. Thanks.Version: 24.3

Excellent! This is an excellent little app for browsing local networks and accessing media shares on a small scale. Well worth the money..Version: 23.16

*.avi formatBeen using this app for ages and I really like it. Just one thing that doesn’t support, or it may not?, it opens the avi and starts playing, but shows nothing. I checked this on both this app and FileBrowserTV. Is this a glitch?.Version: 20.47

Can’t play videoThis use to be ok, it keeps going downhill with every app update now it just doesn’t play video. Maybe for a bit then just stops..Version: 23.2

Is there a way to give it 6 stars?Update Nov 2022 There were only two things that bugged me about FB. I couldn’t MOVE photos from my iPad photo library in one step and the thumbnails in the photo library were to small. Solution from their awesome support team: the MOVE command is available from the Camera Roll just not in All Photos, and, you can pinch the screen in grid mode and list mode to increase the size of the thumbnails. Great support, great app. * Last years review * Wish I’d found this years ago. After two weeks of using the Filebrowser it became very apparent that I’ve been missing out on one of the most useful utilities for iOS. With files scattered all over Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, and on my ipad, this tool made short work of cleaning up a mess that has been bugging me for years. It’s the best $9.99 I’ve spent this week. I highly recommend MusicStreamer too!.Version: 20.46

Add feature to your PhoneI have been using this App. for years ( to keep documents and other important handy on phone ), excellent support and Update from these programmer. This App. Has add features that were not on the IPhone ( like rename document and other conversion ). Thank.Keep up the good work.Version: 20.36

ExcellentBeen using this app for years, works flawlessly. So what does that mean for me? While I can sit on a beach pretty much anywhere and connect to my home based business. My customers are none the wiser, my wife is happy, and the work gets done, without the interference of a Canadian winter..Version: 20.27

This is one of those rare apps.Fairly new to the iOS ecosystem and this by far is the best solution for file browsing. Everything just works and is fast (iOS native sub is slow and laggy) Would be even better if they opened up the choices for custom video players.Version: 20.17

Five starsI really appreciate that file browser doesn’t send any of my data “home”.Version: 20.9

Fantastic file managerI have used FileBrowser on evey iOS device I've owned since the original iPad. It is one of the first apps I install on an iOS device. I also gifted to evey member of my family because it is so useful for accessing and moving files around..Version: 15.2

Top 5Can not "copy" a folder to "paste" elsewhere. You can not select multiple files or photos to import them all together. Super app qui permet d'accéder à l'airport d'apple sur un hd externe..Version: 15.9

Works Really WellRecommended.Version: 15.1

Most Useful AppBought it to access network files for both work & home, ended up being most used app on all my devices. I love the audio player the most..Version: 14.8

Backup/RestoreI’d give 5 stars if it had backup and restore settings..Version: 14.8

Absolutely the BEST File Browser on the App Store Hands Down! The best app for accessing network shares, clouds in one place! But please fix the ‘authentication required’ that keeps popping up when using integration with iOS Files app! It should only need authentication once when you first install! It every time you use it!.Version: 14.5

Great functionality but needs stabilityLoving the app, but it crashes when I edit or view large text files like php, css or logs. Sometimes it saves my edits. Sometimes I get prompted to update the bookmark but it may or may not save the file. Awesome app in functionality, concept and design... just fix those bugs!.Version: 14.6

Broad functionality and integrationAllows me to access either of my Windows desktops, my NAS drive, my website and my DropBox and OneDrive clouds. By registering as a File Provider in the Apple Files app, it also gains access to my Creative Cloud, my iCloud, and my local iPad files. Along with the Files app, I have optimal access to all my online resources, cloud based or otherwise! Absolutely the winner for the money. Now if you were to integrate Zip, RAR, 7z, gz, and TAR file support (extract or view primarily) the app would get a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!.Version: 13.3

So far this app is not working.Been working for the past four hours and can't get this app to work. Will not read any files on ipad. Connects to mac but thats it. Difficult to configure. Good support. Fixed my issue. Thanks..Version: 14.3

Great app but please add ISO to picture viewerI am using this app for viewing my photos stored at NAS and for some reason there is no ISO parameter in the EXIF settings. Please add it to picture information screen as it is one of the most important parameters..Version: 12.12

FileBrowserExcellent App! I use it every day to transfer information between my iPad/iPhone and my PC. This includes photos, documents and mp3s.The App has a full featured media player which operates while using other applications or if the screen has a timeout..Version: 12.1

Very handy!!I love using this for accessing movie files from a hard drive that is connected to my external wifi range extender via iPhone and projecting the movie using Apple TV all in the same app!! Two thumbs up!!!.Version: 11.8

The Swiss Army knife of file browsingVery powerful tool for accessing every device on your entire network..Version: 11.8

Great! This is the best appeared for iOS. It makes the device truly useful. I can even access data directly from the AirPort drive..Version: 11.2

Best iOS file browser/manager/explorer!This is hands down the best file management app for iOS. Well worth the money spent on the full version. Can connect to my NAS while at home, and my cloud services anywhere I’m online. Highly recommended!.Version: 9.7

Great App!Works great to transfer files between different devices (iOS, NAS, PC and Linux). It is especially useful to store receipts and invoices received via e-mail (other documents too, of course). One thing that I noticed since the last update is that the slide show on Apple TV isn't as smooth as it used to be and the Apple TV's main screen shows between the pictures. I tried all transitions, but the "effect" is still there. I'm hoping that this will be fixed in the next update..Version: 9.7

ReviewerExcellent app. Good for bringing all clouds, NAS, etc., together..Version: 9.7

Great app gets better with every updateThis is my goto app for accessing files that are located elsewhere or in my cloud. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to have easy access to their home network. It keeps getting better with every update. Still some things to fix but they are constantly improving the product. One thing I'd really like to see is support for Chromecast when viewing photos or video. Then I could eliminate most of my other media viewers as well as all my other file handling apps. THEY DID IT!! THEY ADDED CHROMECAST SUPPORT! Now I can stream video directly from anywhere on my network directly to my TV. I LOVE THIS APP,.Version: 9.7

The best.Don't look anywhere else, this app is made by a dedicated team and it shows. Strongly recomended..Version: 9.7

Well written app that performs what it saysGreat app with strong performance - allows me to access all the shares on my LAN and browse/access the files there. Works extremely well..Version: 9.7
