PowDay is your ski-day companion for Whistler Blackcomb.
Like a good ski buddy, PowDay wakes you at 6:30am when it has snowed enough to make it worthwhile to be on the first chair in the morning.
You can select the amount of snow required to make it worth your time to wake at this most uncivil hour:
10 cm--its going to be great
20 cm--its going to be great
30 cm--do you have a pulse?
40 cm--dude if you don't move you are obviously not a skier.
PowDay also notifies you of chair openings so you don't have to wait in lift lines. Set the app to notify you to send you a notice as each chair opens, like a best friend standing in line who calls you when loading begins.
In addition to the up-to-the-minute lift status, PowDay also provides temperature information, and even live WebCam images so you'll be able to check the visibility from the top of the Peak chair on those cloudy days.
If you have a Hairfarmers addiction, PowDay keeps you updated on where they are playing for Après Ski.

Best Whistler/Blackcomb ski app. ESSENTIALThis app is full of useful hardcore data for WB. Livetemps, snow base depths, forecasts, cameras, and activities are collated into one app. Brilliant! This amp shames the merger offerings of Vail on their website and Mix app. I hope Todd takes formatting hints from award-winning apps like Slopes and Carrot Weather. That could be improved a bit. An excellent appIt complements WB and Mix. Neat features that I love It shows full size pictures where you can actually see things. Like how many people are standing in line at whistler plaza. It shows a record of lift opening and closings for the last couple of days (like having a friend in the know at each alpine lift). Ot shows the “snow stake” for the last 12 hours or so, so you can see how the snow is dumping (or not) over the last half day. I’m a big fan. Thanks Todd..Version: 3.19

Ok app.This app is good on a pow day. It will let you know what lifts are on stand by/open. Which may give you the upper hand getting to the lift first to get those freshies. Where the app fails: I can't turn off the notifications and I can't uncheck any après ski selections. I don't want to be notified that the peak is open everyday. I tried I checking everything unfortunately you cannot uncheck the après ski so it still tells me when the hair farmers are going to play. Great. There should be an away button so that you are able to keep the lifts you like checked but select an away mode so you do not get notifications of lifts opening or après ski where there hasn't been snow in a week and no one really cares if a lift is open. Make an away button or do not disturb that will enable you to keep your favorite lifts checked then when there is a good pow day you simply change over the setting and go get some pow!.Version: 2.6
Sweet appAwesome app to keep tabs on what's open and when. Lift notifications are instant... I've been in line for harmony and hear "harmony is open" in my ear just as the lifty walks out of the shed to open the line! Well worth the price!!.Version: 1.6
