Works perfectI do not get a huge amount of business cards handed to me and i hate carrying them around! This app does a very good job of reading them and determining the correct categories (fax, cellular, address) the information should be put in. The interface is great looking but the best feature is flexible to organize and display the information. Cards can be displayed either by date, name or company, and can be put in user defined groups so you stand a chance of finding contact information depending on how your mind remember ls. Just got a free app. This is nothing special.Text that is perfectly clear black on white text on in on the card is misread. It misspelled the main word, locksmith. It has no spell correction so I had to type most the words in myself. Updating after a few months and I am just used to having to correct extremely common words from nonexistent words. I use a free app and it works the same. I expected that one word would be incorrect not so many of them. A lot of the phone numbers are weird and that it will start on the third or second digit instead of the first digit. It is as if the first characters don't exist. But I do like about this app is the way to get text before the draft. You press the button and when it feels that has the right call the image it takes the picture. One improvement I would suggest is to take three quick pictures and use all three in comparison to do better character recognition. Since this works about the same as the other two apps I have downloaded I will go ahead and use it a while and then use another and then use another and keep reviewing and hoping that somebody improves the process..SmiledaydreamVersion: 2.5.14

Awesome!I use to enter contact information manually and store all cards on a binder. With SamCard that is no longer necessary. From all the card I have been giving so far only one card was not recognized. Which was not a surprise, the card was a really bad home made Busines card. Now the rest of the business cards I am averaging only a 5% of them that I have to do some minor editing. No longer syncs to iPhone contactsThis used to be an awesome app & I have referred many people to purchase it. There must have been a recent update, because now it will NOT sync to my iPhone contacts which then syncs to my outlook! I purchased the pro version a long time ago because the trial version worked well. Up until now, I would recommend this app. I don't know what they've done & if not fixed soon, I'll be forced to find another app for scanning business cards! Easy way to keep contacts...The value of this application is I can store the info right when I get a card. I can add comments in the notes section, save the data in my contact list and from there have the ease of staying in touch with the person I met and felt it was important enough to get their card in the first place. Just easily adding contacts.I like this software, particularly this version because there's no fluff, no extra services no cloud BS, no syncing, just an easy simple straight forward and accurate way to add contacts to your phone. And this version just works, it's not software as a service you pay just once. Is the accuracy perfect? Better than that other "pro" reader...While it doesn't have any of that in-app communication and cloud sync services (so "they" can scour your data for profit!!) fluff, it DOES have the best recognition I can find so far. Especially pleasing is the field-by-field edit capability (with links to the OCR regions!) before the file is saved. Better OCR is needed to accommodate the tendency to print business cards with letters slightly touching - which throws-off this OCR. Almost Perfect!I have been using business card scanners, most with little more than a modicum of satisfaction or success for a few years and hence, usually relegated the task to an intern or just let the cards pile up. Imagine my surprise when my daughter turned me on to this app that I have to say has been a great find. Granted it has its share of blemishes, but it is 90% of the way there.
