Critical- Medical Guide Customer Service

I’ve had this app for years and use it often. From when I was flying, to my ER and ICU time and now in the cath lab. It’s a straight forward reference that has the info you want and quickly accessible without having to search through the app to find it. Visually it is easy to read and pick out what you need. Absolutely perfect app for emergency and ICU reference. It’s so smooth you can pull it up quickly in real time to if you just want to verify what you’re working on. Thank you so much for making this app and making it the way it should be. Keep up the amazing work.

I’ve been a full-time emt/Paramedic and a busy 911 system since 1995, and this app is one of my most used references in my pocket on duty and off. It always felt like most pocket guides from back in the day were geared more towards nursing and this app has everything an EMT/paramedic can use and reference as well as great nursing references and EMS type references. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone involved and emergency medical services whether you are with the ambulance company, fire department, emergency room, etc... you won’t be disappointed for the purchase.

I just got this. I wish I had access to this when I was working, retired RN( active license) still like many, love to keep current. Having done so much in a long career ( like my wife) I was a Nurse before men were in the field. This has pharmacy information ( was at UConn in pharmacy school) before I dropped my 1-A, with a low draft number. Medic, changed after to Nursing with my wife. This has a wealth of information. OB-GYN( first male RN) early, decelerations) Point is I’ve never seen so much in one spot except PDR, or Taber’s.

I’ve been using the app forever and it gets better all the time. I recommend it to everyone and wish it was shown to me many years ago! Started using it the heaviest when I first started working as a flight paramedic. Saved my bacon more than once. Single elements of Critical are done better than apps that revolve around just 1 of the dozens of things it can be used for. Keep making it great! Thanks for all you do.

Easily and hands gown the best app to have at hand. I use this app on every trip whether to calculate O2 cylinder times or to pre calculate RSI doses in the event they may be needed. There is a lot to be said for removing cognitive load on the provider, specifically in emergency situations. The fact that the app is not dependent upon WiFi availability makes it my first go to for a ton of out of hospital uses

Love the app. It’s been extremely useful as a flight nurse. However this shift every time I open it it crashes and closes. I can’t contact the developers through their website. I can’t get support through apple to help with this. So I’m writing this review in hopes that it will reach someone who can help me. Update: they fixed the app, no issues now.

This app is loaded with information for medical professionals. I’m a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and I also teach mechanical ventilation courses, hemodynamics, basic and 12 lead ECG. I’m also an AHA instructor for ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP and other courses. I have many years in the field. I can recommend this app to any medical professional and I already have. If you need to stay at your best, and keep your clinical skills sharp, then this app is a must have.

I am a flight nurse and I use this app every shift. It is such a valuable tool! Recently, we were doing some o2 calculations and I hadn’t tried using the apps calculator for this and wanted to try it out. I noticed that under the tank size, our helicopter tank (bell 206 with conversion factor of 1.48) was not one of the choices. Anyway this could be added? Thanks so much for such an awesome app!

This is a must have app for any critical care provider, RN or Paramedic, new or experienced. The app has easy to find quick references for your frequent or high acuity items. The app also has references for nearly anything you need, as well as concise definitions and explanations of all items, making it very helpful for the new critical care provider, as well as those more tenured in the role.

I was a medic and had to retire but I’m going back to school to get into P.A. School and this app is a Godsend. The original price of the app was really inexpensive and I didn’t expect lot from it. I bought it and wasn’t too thrilled with it but then... The improvements are magnificent, the app icon is slick, the layout and color design is vibrant and clean and most importantly...solid information and detailed too. The amount of medical information and reference material packed into this app is astonishing. It’s so exciting to think of the future of the app and its development. To the app developers... Well done! Btw...this isn’t an advertisement. It’s just a customer that was delivered a solid product.

Over the years I've been through a lot of medical apps. I've now had this app for years, and it is my go to app. Over the past almost 3 decades I've been an ICU and ER nurse, currently full time flight nurse/medic for the past 13 yrs. I have gifted and recommend this app many times. Cannot recommend this app enough.

I now love this app...a critical care paramedic I work with was reviewing with it on the way to a call and I was instantly hooked. Love all the features and information. Well worth the $10 for the app. Thanks for a great resource guide so I don't need to carry a huge pocket book around anymore!

This app was good and useful before this most recent update. Now it is absolutely amazing. The amount of useful information available in such a well organized fashion makes this very user friendly and helps medical crews to prepare for and treat patients more effectively. Thanks again.

Great app. However would like to see peds tab fixed. Under induction meds, it has the correct mg/kg dose but the black bolded dose listed for the stated weight is incorrect and shows the same dose regardless of the weight chosen. All the other meds are right. Just the induction section isn't correct. Could be dangerous if you don't calculate it yourself. Otherwise love the app!

Initial update crashed every time, but i deleted and re-installed it and it worked. I do suggest y’all making your email address available somewhere, it’s not on your website!

A flight RN pointed me towards this app. Did not want to pay for it but went ahead and did. I am very glad I went ahead and bought it. The app makes for a great reference for some things that I do not use often and need to refresh on. So far I am very pleased with this app.

This app could really be a great app if it had some updated information. 2010 ACLS really? It's only been two years since AHA updated. I would think that you could have updated the info in that time. Some meds need updating also.

This is a great app that was introduced to me when I started flying as a flight paramedic. My only complaint is that there is a ABG calculator that is extremely useful but no VBG calculator. Our point of care labs are most commonly VBGs from an IV line so can there please be a VBG calculator added? This is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

This app is excellent!! I use it as a flight nurse and it gives me everything I need as a quick reference. I love the clinical calculators and pediatric reference as well. The design is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, and works without Wi-Fi.

I love this app and I’ve been using it for years, both in the ER and on the ambulance. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to put in the ranges for drugs for my protocols so I could just put in the patients weight and see exactly what I need to draw up for IVP meds.

Have had the app since it was rolled out but with this latest OS update and the App update I open the app and within one second it quickly closes. Definitely a bug in the update.

This was a great app... since the update, it’s even better. I highly recommend this app for anyone wanting an all-in-one reference that easy to you and chalk full of information. It’s well worth the expense, you will not be disappointed!

Update- Great developer that listens to the users. Now the app is completely visible on iPhone 12 mini. Old - Is almost unusable on the iPhone mini. All the letters moved over or under others.

This app has been so useful and helpful. My fellow ER and ICU nurses as well as a lot of docs have also downloaded it after seeing it in action. This last update has been great. Can’t wait to see what is next.

As a new Trauma Surgery ICU nurse this is an Absolute Must. I have compared algorithms and med recommendations with hospital policy, and am Greatly Informed and guided by this app. It's a life saver, literally, proving quick facts much like "FastFacts" all in an organized layout at the tip of your fingers.

This is HANDS DOWN the best app for emergency medicine. 911 EMS, or critical care transport. Seriously, I recommend this app to ALL of my colleagues every chance I get. This is such a necessary pocket tool to take to the field.

I love the app and how it’s set up. Very easy to navigate. However I really wish they had an iv compatibility checker. I am a travel icu nurse and not all the hospitals I work at have website subscriptions to check iv medication compatibilities.

I need to put in lbs but I can only put in kg. Lots of crashing. In the dose calculator the Med comes up and I can put in a dose but the keyboard doesn’t move back down and then it crashes. I love the app, please fix the bugs!

Sure this has all the references you need, but it also includes some very well designed calculators that are easy to use and, where appropriate, customizable.

Over all, great app! If you’re in the EMS business, download this app. It’s great! I ran across a bug, brought it to their attention, and it was fix immediately.

This app has been helpful with staying fresh on pediatric patients. They are the most difficult population to treat for me and it has been helpful to have this in my pocket.

I have utilized this app many times. It’s great for on the fly med admins if you don’t have a broslow or pedi wheel. It’s also just good refresher and study material to keep you on your game. It’s extremely user friendly as well.

In an emergency situation, you can go straight to your favorite meds saved, insert weight in kilograms and calculate the rate needed, especially if you’re working with older pumps.. Thanks.

Well worth the money! Fast and easy to navigate. The colors and images make it easier to read than most apps. I refer to this app all the time at work!

A must have for the ED! Before you need it for your next resuscitation, roam around for an hour to explore the amazing amount of information in this app.

Comprehensive yet simple. Give yourself a bit of time to dig into the app, but know that at 0345 you will still be able to find your info w/ one eye barely open!

Everything is great about this app, it's well worth the price. If I could suggest in the RSI tab, increasing Rocuronium up to 1.5 mg/kg. Or just let users adjust each medication to their local protocol. That would be great!! Thank you!!

This app is a great tool as a reference. As I transitioned from the hospital to working critical care transport on a SCTU, I found this reference a great addition to my tool set. Would recommend to anyone from ER to ICU to Critical Care transport.

Excellent memory jogger. My biggest gripe is I wish they would change the color of their words to provide greater contrast in relation to the white background. The new version is difficult to read in a brightly lit room.

This is one of my fast reference’s for the field! It’s become my workhorse when things get hairy and I need offline info NOW!

Great reference and study tool, particularly in Peds, ER, Cardio and ICU. Obs usefulness limited. Could have more examples/variations of ECGs (eg: PEA may not look like asystole and not all VTs look the same) but it gives you the basic idea.

I use this app regularly. From the time I started as a PCP until now. Great drug reference. The quick paediatric section is also very useful.

Update looks awesome. Great functionality on my iPhone 5s. Doesn't work well on my iPad mini. The screen doesn't show all the margins of the app so when you get into some areas you can't navigate back because the buttons are outside the margins. Great work though, I use it on a daily basis

I am loving this app but can you please add a couple of features. First when you try to optimize vent settings, one of the suggestions is an absurdly high tidal volume. For lung protective strategies, this is furthest from optimal. Second, could you also please include the Bell 206 Kevlar tank, conversion factor of 1.8 under your O2 calculations. Still my first day with the app, really great product and will update any bugs/issues I find. Thank you!

When changing the values of drips in the common drips category, the keyboard pops up to change said values but the keyboard persists no matter where I click on the screen and obstructs my view of my final values. It makes the feature unusable. Additionally I would like to see the values I input persist as I navigate the app.

Just downloaded the app yesterday. So far my two concerns keeping it from 5 stars are the occasional crash and the blue and red font is unreadable!! This is my biggest issue, I can’t read it, I have played with the brightness settings, nothing works! I hope this is corrected soon.

A great tool for my iPhone, but no optimizations for an iPad, only a poor adaptation that displays in low resolution with massive black borders around the application. I would love to purchase bulk licenses for the iPads in our ambulances, but I am hesitant because of the poor implementation on iPads. I love it on my phone.
